TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 35-45 MPH, THE SMELL OF GASOLINE FUEL EMITTED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN.
