I have had to replace the turbo 3 times now. My car was leaking oil where the the oil filter is so I replaced that whole part. I watched a video how to replace the part. And it said in the video to remove the plastic piece from the engine oil cooler filter housing if you have a turbo because it feeds oil to your turbo. Well my car had the original part on it and the plastic piece wasn't removed causing no oil to get to the turbo. And the turbo has glowed red hot almost catching fire.

My 2015 Chevy Cruze has had the Turbo replaced because it was blown. It has had every component that connects to turbo replaced, MAP sensor, wastegate, the intake system, the manifold gaskets, the coil pack, fuel injectors idle control valve, coolant bypass hose and engine coolant housing, oxygen sensors, oil pressure sensor switch, purge valve solenoid, and of course the oil pan gasket. Every hose has been changed in case of pin hole for air leak too. I run Iridium spark plugs, high test gas, do my oil changes on time with full synthetic oil but yet every time something gets fixed the check engine light comes back on. Living in the great (not) state of NY you cannot have check engine on for inspection, I financed this with Carvana and this car has been nothing but problems. I would think looking at all the reviews on here CHEVROLET WOULD DO A RECALL ON THESE CRUZE’S! The turbo’s are a major issue and cost Thousands of dollars to repair… Like many others I live on a very tight budget I’m on disability and cannot afford to keep trying to fix this car. It’s time to do something about it, maybe a class action lawsuit on the turbo’s……

The turbo on the vehicle develops a crack in the exhaust side by the wastegate over time. This is a common problem as reported by forums, that seems to be a near 100% failure rate. The crack causes lost of intake boost pressure that throws a low boost code and reduces engine power significantly.

Vehicle only has 47939 miles on it and my check engine light came on. I had it coded and it comes up the turbo. It sounds bad and loses power at stop light or going up hill

The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.

Radiator leaks, car overheated. Looking online it is obvious that a lot of people have had this same issue, so why no recall. It's a peice of crap car, that is dangerous to drive.

On [XXX], I purchased a used car from Marietta Auto Sales(2015 Chevy Cruze), through sales agent Alexis Wiley, I test drove the car and everything seemed fine, so I continued with the purchase, later that same day I had a diagnostic done on the car(AutoZone),the fix finder read Check Engine(pass),ABS(pass),Emissions ready(no),Service Interval(pass), I attempted to contact Agent Alexis Wiley immediately, to no avail as it was later in the day, the very next day after the purchase the check engine light came on, I was able to get in touch Agent Alexis Wiley that day and she assured me she would help me address the matter, she did not, there were a mixture phone calls and text between her and I, I made several calls and left several messages and was told someone would get back to me, they never did. On 11-23-2024 I drove to the establishment to show them the many diagnostic reports showing that the car they sold me was defective, additionally I performed an on the spot diagnostics with my (INNOVA SD35 scan tool), also in front of service manager (Paul),he would not reveal his sir name to me, I showed how the diagnostic revealed that for some reason the, Fuel System monitor, Oxygen sensor monitor, as well as the Oxygen Sensor Heater Monitors, have all been disabled, to know avail, the establishment continued defend the sell of this defective vehicle. I've spent thousands of dollars attempting to repair the vehicle to no avail. As I Traded my vehicle to this same establishment at the time of the sale, I am forced to commute in a vehicle that has cut off no less than three times while waiting at a red light, each time I put fuel in the vehicle it struggles to start back up. I've filed complaints against this establishment with the,(BBB),(Capitol One Auto Finance),all to no avail, and most recently with the (CFPB-),which is currently open. This establishment withheld things about this vehicle that should have been made known to me as a consumer. My safety is at risk. I have had my car in the shop MULTIPLE TIMES causing me to lose work. On july24 my car radio shutoff,and on dashboard light off , inside lamp lights flickered. A message of service stabilitrak, service steering. Car parked within 3 miles. I called AAA and towed to koons whitemarsh immediately. I told advisor what happened. After she called next day to say battery was bad.I remembered that there was a recall on negative battery cable. My battery was checked on 7-11-23 and was fine. My battery was installed 10-21-20. No problems with electrical. I requested to have cable replaced because I have been in the shop to much missing work. Then I foundThere is a service bulletin recall for exactly what was happening with my car. I was told my Vin didn't match and that was it!! Despite being my exact problem. I am female so I think I was just ignored. I got a battery that I may not have needed and requested cable because I didn't want to loose steering. By stopping so soon code may not have appeared at dealer. Igot a $70help with bill of $626 for a repair. should be included in this recall despite vin . I have exactly what is recalled.. sometimes cars are added to recalls after initial recall.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that at start up, the key was placed in the ignition however, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that she attempted to start the vehicle another time and the vehicle started. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the A/C unit inadvertently turned on, but there was no air coming through the vents. The contact stated that she was able to drive to work however, after getting off work, she attempted to start the vehicle and the vehicle failed to start. The contact attempted a second time and the vehicle started and performed as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact was informed that the vehicle would be kept overnight. The contact was then informed by the dealer that the vehicle had been diagnosed and that the communication and power issue were not receiving any voltage. The contact was then informed that a message was displayed on the instrument panel “Theft Deterrent “and the hazard lights intermittently flashed, and the HBC warning light illuminated. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that upon research, she referenced TSB: SB 10057574-8899: indicating the negative battery and the battery fuse block. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not covered. The failure mileage was approximately 107,392.

I AM LEASING THIS CAR USED. THERE IS PROOF FROM PREVIOUS OWNER HIS TROUBLE WITH DRIVER WINDOW STOPS WORKING DUE TO MOTOR INSIDE WINDOW OR UNLINKING. HE HAS A RECEIPT OF REPLACING THIS AND I HAVE REPLACED 3 MORE TIMES THEY DEALER PARTS AND EVERYTHING AND IT HAS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. THE LAST ONE ALMOST STARTED ON FIRE INSIDE MY DOOR. IT HAPPENS WHENEVER I USE THE WINDOW WHETHER BEING PARKED OR DRIVING.

Water pump failed and car began to overheat. The car advised that it was turning off my heat due to the car getting too hot and then advised to stop the car due to overheating. When i took it to a certified chevy dealership the mechanic stated that this car maker and model was well known to leak liquids from many locations under the hood. He said that this car alone has kept them in service with as many repairs they have to do for these cars. My car was the fourth Chevy Cruze there that day that had some type of liquid leaking from under the hood. If this is that well known an issue with these type of cars then chevy should have a recall to fix this obvious malfunction so i wanted to make sure i Made a complaint on this in case others had not.

TO WHOM EVER IT CONCERNS TO, I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY OIL PAN DRAIN PLUG BEING STRIPPED O MY 2015 CHEVROLET CRUZE. EVERY SINCE I BOUGHT MY CHEVROLET CRUZE TO GET OIL CHANGES THE PROBLEMS ALWAYS ARISES.I'VE LOOKED AT DIFFERENT FORUMS AND LOOK AT YOUTUBE VIDEOS TO SEE IF OTHERS ALSO HAVE SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THE OIL PAN DRAIN PLUG BEING STRIPPED. THERE OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THAT PARTICULAR CAR.I LOVE THE CHEVROLET BRAND. I HAVE TWO CHEVY CARS THAT I LOVE WHICH ARE MY IMPALA AND MY CRUZE. I HAD MY IMPALA FOR ALMOST EIGHT YEARS NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE DRAIN PLUG BEING STRIPPED. I WAS IN MY YARD DAY COMING BACK FROM AN OIL CHANGE AND SAW A PUDDLE OF OIL IN MY FRONT YARD. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT EXAMINED AND THEY SAID FIX THE PROBLEM. LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN DROVE OFF NOTICE THAT IT WAS STILL LEAKING. THIS TIME I TOOK IT BACK AGAIN THEY HAD TO GIVE ME AN EXPANDED DRAIN PLUG TO FIX THE ISSUE. THE PROBLEM HAVE BEEN RESOLVED FOR THE MOMENT. IF I WAS AWARE OF THE OIL LEAKING OUT IT COULD HAVE BLOWN MY ENGINE WHICH WOULD'VE CAUSE ME TO LOSE MY CAR. I FEEL THE OIL PAN THAT ARE ON THE CRUZES SHOULD BE DESIGN A CERTAIN WAY SO THE ISSUES WOULDN'T HAVE TO ARISE.

CAR HAD BEEN REPAIRED FOR A CRACKED RADIATOR. DIAGNOSTIC TEST SHOWED THAT TURBOCHARGER IS MALFUNCTIONING. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE THERE WAS ISSUES WITH ENGINE THE ENGINE STALLING. UPON DRIVING THE ACCELERATION OF THE VEHICLE IS ABNORMAL, LOUD ENGINE NOISES UPON ACCELERATION AND AND CAR DOES NOT PICK UP SPEED AT A FAST ENOUGH RATE TO SAFELY MERGE INTO TRAFFIC AND NAVIGATE AT A SAFE SPEED.

ON OCTOBER 25, 2019 MY TURBO FAILED LEADING DEBRIS TO CLOG MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER LEADING IT TO FAIL AS WELL. I BOUGHT MY CAR NEW ON OCTOBER 10, 2015. SINCE BUYING IT, MY WATER PUMP FAILED TWICE, CAMSHAFT COVER REPLACED TWICE, THERMOSTAT REPLACED, OIL TUBE AND PAN REPLACED TWICE, COOLANT TUBE REPLACED ONCE. EVERY TIME I BROUGHT IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP, I REPORTED THE CAR'S PROBLEM OF IDLING ROUGH WHILE IN DRIVE AT A STOP LIGHT OR IN PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY AND EVERY TIME, THE DEALERSHIP REPORTED THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. WHEN I WAS TOLD MY TURBO HAD FAILED, THEY SAID THAT'S WHY MY CAR WAS IDLING ROUGH. EVERY TIME ONE OF THESE PROBLEMS OCCURRED, I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. I AM LUCKY I WASN'T HIT OR KILLED IN ANY OF THESE INSTANCES.

The car was a total loss due to a MVA which involved this car only. The car hydroplaned, it spun and the traction control light was blinking. The front of the car hit the guardrail, spun, and then the back end hit the guardrail. At this point, all the dash lights were blinking and the car dead in the road. The flashers were turned on but due to the car dead, there were no flashers on and the car was stuck in the fast lane of a three lane highway in the dark and pouring rain. The air bags never deployed nor did the seatbelt tighten up. Components that failed: flashers, airbags, seatbelts, etc. Safety: could not alert other drivers that the car was in the road and was almost struck by a tractor trailer and other cars. Problem was reported to the insurance company who claimed it as a total loss. The police were called to the scene of the accident so there is a police report. The traction control warning light lit when the car hydroplaned. All the lights on the dash started flashing when it hit the guardrail, then after that, unsure when the car died and no power. The tow truck driver could not turn the steering wheel when he tried to pull it up the flat bed.

Without warning, the mylink display first went black as i was making a left turn and disconnected from bluetooth. Within seconds the steering wheel got really stiff and it almost felt like the whole power shut off from the car but came back to normal within seconds and kept doing this for 3 more times, each lasting maybe 5 seconds. Very scary.

VEHICLE STARTED TO DISPLAY "SERVICE STABILITRAK" ON DIC PANEL AFTER RUNNING THROUGH A PUDDLE ON A FREEWAY ONRAMP. ALSO, FROM TIME TO TIME, WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, YOU CAN FEEL A SUDDEN JOLT OR POP (WHEEL GETS EASY TO TURN FOR A COUPLE OF INCHES OF TRAVEL). POPPING CHIEFLY HAPPENS AT SLOW SPEEDS, SUCH AS TURNING INTO A PARKING SPACE. BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR SERVICE. THEY READ C0710 AND C055C CODES. ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDS A NEW STEERING GEAR. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 40,000 MILES.

STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ELECTRICAL FAILURE. I BACKED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY; AFTER PUTTING IT IN "DRIVE" THE CAR FISHTAILED AND THE "SERVICE STEERING WHEEL" MESSAGE CAME ON THE DASH. I BROUGHT IT TO SIMPSON CHEVROLET AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE "STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ELECTRICAL FAILURE" AND REPLACED THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR. THEY STATED THAT THE CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.

The check engine light came up, after having the code read it was discovered that the turbo charger was bad. My vehicle was fixed by the dealer. Prior to being fixed my vehicle was running rougher and accelerating at a slower speed.

When i turn the A/C on, it appears a message on the screen that says A/C off due to high engine temperature. The car is losing coolant without external leak. A mechanic performed a cold pump test to the cooling system and no external leak was found. After that it was performed a compression test at a shop to each cylinder, finding that there's a bad head gasket. My car only has 70.000 miles and it has a bad head gasket already. This can cause an accident because when your engine is overheating, you should pull over your car as soon as possible to avoid any serious damage on your car. Besides that, the losing of coolant should cause a fire on the engine. There are recalls for the same vehicle but not for the 2015 Cruze and I have read lot of complaints about the same issue.

I JUST HAD WORK DONE ON THE ENGINE FOR THE 5TH TIME IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. ALL REPAIRS ARE RELATED TO THE ENGINE OVERHEATING OR NOT REGULATING PROPERLY. THE FIRST TIME THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE REPAIRS TO THE ENGINE HAVE COST ME ALMOST $3000 AND THAT IS NOT INCLUDING NORMAL MAINTENANCE. THE MOST RECENT ISSUE IS THE TURBOCHARGER BYPASS VALVE. I HAD IT REPLACED ON 6/27/20 AND THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON WITH THE SAME CODE ON 6/28/20. WHEN I HAD WORK DONE AT THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP IN AUGUST/SEPTEMBER OF 2019 I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THEY ARE SEEING IN ALMOST ALL CHEVY CRUZES. I'VE BEEN TOLD THIS AT 5+ DIFFERENT DEVICE CENTERS WHILE GETTING REPAIRS DONE ON THE ENGINE OR GENERAL MAINTENANCE DONE. THE CAR HASN'T EVEN REACHED 100,000 MILES AND I'M BEING TOLD I PROBABLY NEED A NEW ENGINE. THIS IS NOT OK. I'VE BOUGHT AND REPAIRED THIS CAR AT CHEVY DEALERSHIPS. ALL MY ENGINE ISSUES HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, AND THE CAR SHAKES A LOT DUE TO THE ENGINE OVERHEATING EVEN THOUGH THE TEMPERATURE GAGE READING IS NORMAL. SOME OF MY REPAIRS WERE DONE WITH THE WRONG VIN NUMBER RECORDED. THE REPAIRS WERE RECORDED UNDER MY 2014 CHEVY CRUZE. IT SHARED THE SAME LICENSE PLATE BUT THE 2014 CRUZE WAS TOTALED IN 2017.

PURCHASED VEHICLE USED 8/2017. 5/2018 CAR SMOKING AND OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING. WATER PUMP REPLACED. STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH CAR OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING, I WAS REPLACING COOLANT ABOUT ONCE A MONTH. TWICE THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING WAS REPLACED, 8/2018 AND 11/2018. CAR HAD ISSUES AGAIN OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING IN 4/2019. AN INTERCOOLER PIPE, PVC PIPE, WATER PIPE, AND WATER HOSE WERE REPLACED. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN IN 9/2019, MANY ISSUES WERE FOUND BUT I ONLY HAD ENOUGH MONEY TO REPAIR THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. AT THIS POINT I WAS REPLACING COOLANT EVERY TWO WEEKS TO AVOID THE ENGINE OVERHEATING AND AT TIMES IT WAS A VISIBLE PUDDLE COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR. 11/20/2019 I RETURNED TO GET A SENSOR AND ANOTHER THERMOSTAT HOUSING REPLACED. 11/27/2019 I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE SHOP AFTER MY VEHICLE BEGAN SMOKING WHILE DRIVING. I PULLED OVER AND COOLANT WAS QUICKLY DRIPPING OUT FROM UNDER THE CAR. THE RADIATOR WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WHEN THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME I NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE WAS NOISY AND THERE WAS A SCREECHY SOUND UPON ACCELERATION. I HAD TROUBLE PICKING UP SPEED. I GOT TO THE GAS STATION ABOUT A MILE AWAY AND TURNED OFF THE CAR TO GET GAS. WHEN I TURN THE VEHICLE BACK ON THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SHAKE, REV UP AND DOWN ON ITS OWN, AND THEN CUT OFF. I TRIED A FEW TIMES TO START THE CAR UP AND IT HAPPENED EVERY TIME. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE REPAIR SHOP AND HAD THE CAR TOWED BACK THE SAME NIGHT. THEY WERE ABLE TO LOOK AT IT ON 11/29/2019 AND REPORTED THAT THEY SAW NO ISSUES. IN DISBELIEF, I PICKED UP THE CAR, AND I DROVE AROUND FOR ALMOST A WEEK. I ENDED UP COMING BACK TO RIDE ALONG WHILE A TECHNICIAN TEST DROVE THE CAR. HE SAW AND HEARD THE SAME ISSUES THAT I CLEARLY HAD WITH THE VEHICLE. WE RETURNED BACK TO THE SHOP AND HE DID A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT SHOWED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE TURBOCHARGER.

The windshield wiper transmission failed on my ‘15 Cruze in the middle of a rain storm caused my Hurricane Ida. The problem has been confirmed by my husband who is a mechanic at a Chevrolet dealership. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem were present prior to the onset of the problem. It had been raining a lot due to Hurricane Ida, the last time I used my wipers they worked fine. When it started raining again I tried to cut my wipers on and only my driver side wiper worked. My passenger side wiper stayed in its downward resting position and did not move or make any noises.

I WAS DRIVING TO WORK, ON I-95, AND IT WAS RAINING HARD ENOUGH FOR ME TO HAVE MY WIPERS MOVING CONSTANTLY. OUT OF NOWHERE, THE DRIVER SIDE WIPER JUST STOPPED WORKING. IT WENT UP, BUT IT NEVER CAME BACK DOWN.

I SEE ONLINE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH CRUZES. THE CAR ONLY HAS 54K ON IT. I NOW HAVE TO PAY A $100 DEDUCTIBLE ON MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. There are two main problems I've seen them time and time again ( on YouTube sure not great credibility but hear me out) the intake manifolds are not tightened tight enough come lose and start making the motor shudder misfire losses power and then the coolant line t isn't secured good enough and burst from high pressure I understand wanting to use plastic over metal its cheaper but aluminum would have been more reliable then after that the intake manifold causes the coolant line to burst at the t which causes your head gasket to blow which in turn kills your turbo and possibly if driven ( if it's possible to drive mind you I was almost hit twice just trying to get off the road ) kills your catalytic converters and that's a complete engine failure that could have been prevented

It shakes and stutters while driving off and on. If it’s super cold outside it may not even start. When sitting idle it’ll spit and sputter and periodically backfire. When going to take off from a stop sign there’s lag or it won’t take off at all even floored. I’m getting milky oil so I’m getting condensation from somewhere. This trickle effect all starts off my MAF sensor and has progressively gotten worse. I’ve had the MAF, o2 sensor, turbo valve , spark plugs, battery(s) changed all trying to fix this issue and 2 years later I’m still fighting with it. Yesterday while heading home I couldn’t go over 45, and it would stutter and feel like your driving on rubble strips, when I got home it smelled like something was burning, popped the hood and the dipstick showed “black” oil but in the oil cap there the milky oil in and around the cap as well as my fan being SUPER loud after it’s shut off.

THE NEW MECHANIC REPLACED THE OIL PAN AND GAVE ESTIMATES FOR THE PARTS AND LABOR FOR THE PCV AND THE COOLANT LEAK. NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE MY CRUZE BUT I WAS TOLD ID BE CLOSE TO WHAT I OWE ON THE CAR TO REPAIR IT AS CHEVROLET WILL NOT DO A RECALL ON THE MASSIVE ISSUE PARTS, THERE IS ONLY 59,213 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. SOMEONE FROM CHEVROLET NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS AND EITHER FIX THE ISSUE OR MAKE SOME SORT OF RECOMPENSE FOR THOSE WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS I AM.

ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) KEEPS GOING OUT. HAD TO REPLACE IT TWICE IN 1 YEAR AND POSSIBLY AGAIN SOON. THE CAR WOULD START, IT WOULD SHAKE A LITTLE BIT WHILE DRIVING THROUGH THE CITY, THE AC WOULD STOP WORKING AS WELL. IF I MADE FREQUENT STOPS (RUNNING ERRANDS) IT WOULD EVENTUALLY NOT START AGAIN. I WOULD HAVE TO LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO START AGAIN. DEALERSHIP IDENTIFIED THAT IT WAS THE ECM BUT CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY IT KEEPS BURNING OUT. I understand this vehicle is over 10 years old. I bought this vehicle pre-owned and have only had it for less than 6 months. This vehicle has 71,000 miles on it and isn't very good condition cosmetically besides the gloss paint. As a widow, I needed a dependable vehicle for work purposes. Since I've had this vehicle I've had to replace the thermostat, I've had continued overheating issues, issues with the catalytic converters, the hoses and connectors becoming brittle and needing replacement throughout the engine. Suddenly the traction control light came on the dash after they check engine light. With the code reader showed problems with the mass air flow and the mass air flow electric wiring. Suddenly after a oil change, the vehicle is running terribly and is undrivable. The ECM or computer that powers the entire vehicle has lost all power was no explanation. All the pieces and relays are in good working order. After research on this issue of the ECM I've learned that even replacement of the computer for this vehicle causes the vehicle not even to start. I contacted customer service for GM and Chevrolet and they referred me to you because it is over 10 years old. No one was able to help me. My roommate has the exact same vehicle besides I have a turbo and she does not same year, and she is also having the exact same problems including her ECM is not getting any power. I'm sure of that there's nothing anyone can do financially but Chevrolet and GM really dropped the ball on this vehicle as far as dependability and safety. I counted on this vehicle to be dependable and and live up to the standards of gmn Chevrolet and it has not. Besides this website I don't know who could called Chevrolet and GM accountable for this disaster of a car. I would appreciate any suggestions to try to get this vehicle safe and in working order if it is even possible. I BOUGHT THE CAR USED. AFTER A FEW DAYS I HEARD A TICKING UNDER THE HOOD & ALSO WHEN I GOT TO 60 MPH I COULD FEEL VIBRATION IN THE GAS PEDAL & SOUNDED LIKE A BUMBLE BEE UNDER THE HOOD. I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM. THEY SAID THAT WITH THE LT1 IT OFFS COMMON NOISE FOR THE PURGE SOLENOID TO MAKE THE TICKING NOISE THAT IT WAS NORMAL. THE VIBRATION THEY SAID WAS A PEBBLE GOT UNDER MOTOR MOUNT & WAS CAUSING VIBRATION. HE GOT THE PEBBLE OUT & READJUSTED. A WEEK LATER WAS DOING IT AGAIN & THE TICKING NOISE WAS ALOT WORSE. HE FINALLY CHANGED THE PURGE SOLENOID & IT STILL TICKED BUT NOT NEARLY AS BAD. BUT HE SAID HE COULDN'T HEAR THE NOISE AT 60 MPH & ONLY A LITTLE OF THE VIBRATION IN PEDAL. I'M REALLY REGRETTING BUYING THIS CAR. IF I KNEW IT WOULD HAVE ALL THESE ISSUES I COULD OF KEPT DRIVING MY OLDER CAR WITH NO CAR PAYMENT. The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while opening the driver's side front window and the passenger’s side front window, the cable snapped, and the window fell inside the door. The power windows became inoperable. The message to open and close the window was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on three occasions, where it was diagnosed that the power window regulator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed there were no recalls on the VIN for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

On many occasions the car would be at a stop and start shaking violently, then it would stall out no matter where I was. The engine light came on so I went to see what it was, at first I thought it was the air filter, changed that, then it was the mass airflow sensor changed that then it started doing it again, then it was the O2 sensor and it worked for a day or 2. Now if the AC is on it shakes violently again and if I am at a stop it still will stall out.

Driving the car and suddenly it began to stall, next engine light came on, stability light came on, engine overheating waring came on, radio turned off, ac stopped working, smelling antifreeze, car shakes, power stalls when accellerating, smoke exited the engine, oil leaked and finally car stopped. AAA got car took it to a mechanic and rebuilt whole cylinder head. Now I received a letter from GM stating something wrong with PCV valve, and same thing is happening again same senerio just 4 months after getting fixed.

THE FRONT CRANK SHAFT SEAL IS BAD. IT MAKES THE ENGINE MAKE A VERY LOUD CHIRPING NOISE WHEN IT WARMS UP. IF YOU PULL THE OIL DIPSTICK OUT IT STOPS. I have been up there date for fixing this vehicle for the last 4 years when i bought it with 60k miles , I have replaced multiple parts so far from foil pump , wheel, coolant pipes and the container many times from constant leaking in the fuel pump, I have replaced the alternater twice by 70k miles , ABS system failed many times and no one can fix it , Lastly , my daughter was driving to school and while she was driving on the roundabout in the outer lane . She tried to turn the steering wheel t take the exit and everything got locked on her immediately from steering wheel and the break paddle caused he car shift to the curb and hit the side walk because it went out if control because the tire split out the wheel along with another piece from wheel behind the tire , almost killed my daughter on the seen . I had spent in this At least $10k and now it barely passed &100k Just unbelievable. This car is piece of trash no safety in this car now I parked the car and I’m trying to think what to do with it. I will take it back to the GM and the Chevy dealers and I’m complain because even the dealers for the GM and Chevy are the worst people to deal with and the worst customer service. They’re not helpful at all. I have went to local shops. They do better job but the thing is this car is piece of crap Replacing and go back. I am not spending any more penny on this car now I have to get a brand new car for my daughter to go to college she needs it better or don’t sell more cars. This has to be a trust immediately as my daughter career relying on transportation, And I am not claiming my insurance to fix the damage on my vehicle because my insurance will raise my premiums and there was no other car involved because she was on the roundabout on the side lane and she had to hit the curb because the car kept going and has no control but luckily she wasn’t going on the inside lane on the roundabout otherwise she’ll be hitting another vehicles from losing control

My engine light has been randomly coming on then off leaving many history codes. It's normally a diesel particulate filter code and I have paid hundreds replacing each sensor or part. So this time, Carroll Buick of Venice Fla says the embedded code is saying I need an engine control module , same code. I'm still driving it they say it's safe to drive because the part $900.00, plus labor, is backorder. I'm a bit over 100,000 miles and I have a lifetime power train warranty but it won't cover any electrical parts only greased literal parts of engine or transmission. I'm not certain it's true anymore they replaced everything so far over 2 years but I'm at theor mercy. Zurich warranty is not covering this and I'm shocked it went just b4 100k miles and now I'm at 107k. I feel chevy should own this issue since I've been told to keep driving it with the engine light on. I'm really scared but I need it to go to work please help thx

The driver side seat belt did not lock in time like it was supposed to when i got rear ended today, causing my head the hit the steering wheel very very hard. I wouldn't have hit the steering wheel if my seat belt would have locked in place like its supposed to. It has not been confirmed or reproduced by a service center. The car is now being inspected by the police, and the insurance representatives. No warning lamps were on, and there wasn't any kind of messages or any other symptoms prior to the failure.

THE MECHANICS CHECKED THE CODES AND FOUND THAT, A ENGINE MISFIRE WAS DETECTED, THE FUEL INJECTOR CONTROL MOD WAS NOT AVAILABLE, OR THERE WAS A COMMUNICATION PROBLEM, THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, THE DIGITAL RADIO RECEIVER CONTROLLER WAS NOT AVAILABLE, OR WAS EXPERIENCING A COMMUNICATION PROBLEM, AND THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL WAS DISPLAYING FAILURES IN AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT, AND LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE HVAC CONTROL MODULE. IT TURNS OUT THAT DUE TO A MANUFACTURER ERROR (CHEVY/ GENERAL MOTORS) THAT THE CARS IGNITION COIL TOWERS HAD BURNED OFF ON CYLINDERS 2 & 4 AND HAD TAKEN OUT THE SPARK PLUGS AS WELL. AT SUCH TIME, ONSTAR CAME ACROSS THE SPEAKERS AND ASKED IF WE WERE IN AN ACCIDENT AND IF WE NEEDED THE POLICE &/OR AN AMBULANCE. ON ANOTHER NOTE THE AIRBAGS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, MY SIDE, DEPLOYED WITH SUCH FORCE THAT THE AIRBAGS BROKE MY GLASSES, MY CELL PHONE SCREEN, AND BROKE THE IGNITION KEY OFF IN THE IGNITION. I ALREADY TOOK THE CAR TO GET FIX 8 TIMES AND THEY CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM.

WHILE DRIVING & IN STOPPED POSITION AT LIGHT THE RADIO WILL INTERMITTENTLY TURN OFF & BACK ON AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT. I JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NOT EVEN 1 1/2 MOS. AGO. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING APPROXIMATELY ONCE OR TWICE EVERY WEEK FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS NOW.I HAVE TRIED TO LOOK FOR SOME SOLUTION TO THIS & HAVE RESEARCHED BUT THERE HAD BEEN VAGUE INFORMATION OR NO ANSWER AT ALL . I HAVE NOTICED THAT IT HAS BEEN AN ONGOING SITUATION THAT HAD BEEN INDICATED IN HERE BUT HAS THERE'S BEEN ANY RESOLUTION TO THE MATTER? I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO BE CONCERNED WITH THIS WHOLE EITHER DRIVING OR AT A STOP LIGHT THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WILL GO OUT, IF ANY AT ALL. I HOPE SOME KIND OF RESOLUTION OR RECALL WILL BE DONE FOR THIS, TOO ME, A MAJOR PROBLEM.

POWER ASSIST FAILED, MAKING STEERING DIFFICULT, HAPPENED DURING LANE CHANGE ON FREEWAY AT 70 MPH, THIS HAPPENED IN CONJUNCTION WITH RANDOM SCREEN LOSS ON INFOTAINMENT SCREEN. ALSO RANDOM ERROR MESSAGES. UPON TAKING CAR TO DEALER, THEY AGREED IT WAS PROBABLY AN ISSUE ADDRESSED UNDER SPECIAL COVERAGE 14311, BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT IT WAS NOT. MY 24 YR OLD DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING , I AM THANKFUL SHE SURVIVED, NO ONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE LOSS OF POWER STEERING, ESPECIALLY ON THE FREEWAY. ODDLY I ENDED UP PAYING OUT OF MY POCKET FOR A NEW BATTERY AND A POS AND A NEG CABLE. CAR IS IN FOR SERVICE FOR 3RD TIME -- INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL PROBLEM CAUSING LOSS OF TRANSMISSION (I.E. REVS THEN DROPS IN AND OUT OF GEAR); DRIVER DISPLAY WARNINGS INCLUDE SERVICE STABILITRAK, SERVICE POWER STEERING, SERVICE TRANSMISSION. POWER DOOR LOCKS ALSO OPERATE ON THEIR OWN. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGES WILL DROP TOWARDS THEIR OFF POSITION, THEN RESUME NORMAL POSITION DURING THESE EVENTS. IF THE CAR IS SHUT OFF, SOMETIMES A "NO START" CONDITION WILL OCCUR WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED TO THE START POSITION, GAUGES WILL OPERATE NORMAL EVEN WITH NO START CONDITION. AFTER RAPIDLY CYCLING THE KEY OFF/ON/START POSITION FOR SOMETIMES UP TO 30 TIMES, CAR HAS ALWAYS EVENTUALLY STARTED. SOMETIMES CONDITION HAS CLEARED, OTHER TIMES TRANSMISSION IS STUCK IN A GEAR (3RD FOR PREVIOUS DEALERSHIP VISIT, 4TH FOR CURRENT VISIT) BUT NOT IN A LIMP HOME MODE AS FULL ENGINE POWER IS AVAILABLE. MANUAL SHIFTING IS NOT PERMITTED, "SHIFT DENIED" APPEARING ON THE DRIVER DISPLAY. VERY CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY AS DEALERSHIP CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT TRANSMISSION WILL NOT DROP INTO LOWER GEAR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IF THE TRANSMISSION WERE TO SUDDENLY DROP INTO 3RD AT 75 MPH WITH NO APPLICATION OF THE BRAKES, THE CAR BEHIND ME MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REACT TO THE SUDDEN DROP IN MY VEHICLE'S SPEED. CONDITION HAS HAPPENED WHEN VEHICLE AND COMPONENTS ARE HOT, SUCH AS AFTER HIGHWAY/CITY DRIVING FOR 2 HOURS.

THIS COMPLAINT IS REGARDING 3 ISSUES SINCE MY VEHICLE PURCHASE MID APRIL OF THIS YEAR. THE VEHICLES MILEAGE AT PURCHASE WAS 7 MILES AND CURRENTLY HAS APPROX. 6100 MILES ON ODOMETER. THE 3 ISSUES ARE: #1) REGULARLY WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE AT APPROX. 45-50 MPH THERE IS A STEADY HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE THAT LAST ABOUT 30-45 SECONDS. #2) ALSO WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE IN TRAFFIC AND COASTING WITHOUT PRESSING GAS OR BRAKE GOING APPROX. 5-10MPH THE ENGINE WILL SHUTTER AND CAUSE THE CAR TO SHAKE. THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE ITS GOING TO STALL BUT I ALWAYS PRESS THE GAS PETAL SO IT CONTINUES DRIVING WITHOUT STALLING SINCE I'M ALWAYS ON THE FREEWAY WHEN IT OCCURS #3) INVOLVES THE SAME OR SIMILAR DRIVING ENVIRONMENT AS ISSUE #2. THIS ISSUE OCCURS WHILE COASTING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS UNLIKE ISSUE #2 WHERE THE CAUSE FEELS LIKE IT COULD BE THE ENGINE THIS IS MORE LIKE THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING INTO DIFFERENT GEARS MOSTLY DOWNSHIFTING SINCE THE CAR SUDDENLY JERKS BACK AS THOUGH YOU SLAMMED ON YOUR BRAKES FOR A SECOND AND IT REGULARLY HAPPENS ONLY WHILE CAR IS COASTING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WHICH I'M REGULARLY DOING SINCE I DRIVE DOWN THE CAJON PASS SITTING IN TRAFFIC EVERY DAY, WHILE COASTING IT HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY 90-120 SECONDS. ON 7/21 I CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP AND RECEIVED A APPOINTMENT FOR 7/22 SINCE THESE ISSUES COULD CAUSE SOMETHING VERY SERIOUS TO HAPPEN TO MY WIFE OR MYSELF. THOUGH I HAVE NOT HAD MY CAR LOOKED AT BY MY DEALERSHIP YET, I STILL WANTED TO MAKE THIS REPORT TO INSURE THAT OTHER OWNERS ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE I'M FACING, AND THIS HOPEFULLY GETS INVESTIGATED THOROUGHLY (BY A THIRD PARTY) BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN A ACCIDENT.

AROUND NOVEMBER 29, 2014 I WAS DRIVING THE 2015 CHEVY CRUZ WHILE OUT OF TOWN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING AROUND 55 MILES I WAS PULLED OVER BY A POLICE REPORTING THAT I WAS DRIVING 75 MILES, BUT WHEN I SLIGHTLY HIT MY BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN THE CAR DIDN'T CHANGE ITS SPEED. BASED ON THE POLICE'S REPORT OF THE SPEED HE REPORTED ME GOING THE ODOMETER READING IS WRONG OR SET TOO HIGH IN THIS VEHICLE AND WILL CAUSE ACCIDENTS IF NOT FIXED.
