I did a safety recall repair at the GMC Chevrolet dealer in Bloomington, MN per the notice I recieved regarding the front airbag (Takata) (I believe the repair was in October 2022). I did not have a error code before doing the work but since I was traveling thought it best to do before I left. I now have a service airbag for the driver side which has now come on. I spoke to one dealer in another state (I was traveling) and he said that had nothing to do with the recall work that was done and wanted me to come in for a estimate for a possible repair??? Can you please assist me?

I CALLED MY LOCAL GLEN SMITH CHEVY DEALER TO GET MY AIR BAG REPAIRED AFTER RECEIVING NOTICE IN THE MAIL THAT THEY HAD THEM. THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE THEM AND DIDN'T KNOW WHEN THEY WOULD BE AVAILABLE. I CALLED THE CHEVY CONSUMER NUMBER AND GOT THE SAME ANSWER. THIS IS THE SAME RUN AROUND IVE BEEN GETTING FOR SEVERAL YEARS WHILE I'M DRIVING A CAR THAT COULD POTENTIALLY HURT OR KILL THE PASSENGER IN THE CAR.... WHY DID THIS GET SENT OUT IF THISDEALERS WONT REPAIR THEM?

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

The front dash is cracking all across the the cab. The sharp points are so pointed that if the airbags are deployed it will cause cuts and possibly damage a person eyes

THE DASHBOARD IS BADLY CRACKED. IT WILL COST ABOUT $1,000 TO REPAIR WHICH REDUCES THE NET PROCEEDS IF WE SELL IT. WE DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE SELLING IT WITHOUT THE REPAIR AND DOUBT ANYONE WOULD WANT TO BUY IT IN THIS CONDITION. I ALSO FEEL SOMEWHAT UNSAFE DRIVING IT CONSIDERING THE AIRBAG ISSUES. I AM FILING THIS COMPLIANT ABOUT THE CRACKED DASH ON MY 2007 CHEVY REGENCY SUBURBAN, WHICH I PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2008. THIS DASH HAS BEEN CRACKED FOR OVER 7 YEARS NOW. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE DEALERSHIP (RELIABLE CHEVROLET) IN DALLAS, TX TO FIX THE ISSUE BUT WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST ME SOMEWHERE AROUND $1,500 TO DO SO. THERE ARE 2 CRACKS NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG EDGES THEN A MASSIVE HOLE OVER THE CONSOLE BECAUSE THE ENTIRE TOP OF THE CONSOLE HAS CRACKED TO INTO PIECES. LIKEWISE, THE FRONT PANEL OF THE CONSOLE, INSIDE THE VENT AREA HAS CRACKED AND FALLEN ABOUT. I AM SCARED FOR MYSELF, WIFE, KIDS AND ANY OTHER INNOCENT PASSENGER(S) ALONG FOR THE RIDE BECAUSE IF THE AIRBAGS DO DEPLOY, THERE IS A HUGE POSSIBILITY PLASTIC SHARDS WILL FLY INTO THEIR FACES CAUSING SEVERE FACIAL DAMAGE AND OR POSSIBLE DEATH.

PLASTIC DASH HAS SEVERAL CRACKS FROM FRONT TO BACK. ONE NEAR PASSENGER AIR BAG. IF THIS WERE TO DEPLOY IT COULD ADD ADDITIONAL DAMAGING DEBRIS. ALSO APPEARANCE IS BAD AND DEVALUES VEHICLE. HAPPENED WITHIN THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF OWNERSHIP AND CONTINUED USE OF STATIONARY, IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS OR HIGHWAY DRIVING.

My Suburban locked itself with the keys inside of it. It is available for inspection. I had a two-month baby in the car on an 80-degree day trapped for over 10 minutes. At that young age they have no temperature regulation. I took the vehicle into a local mechanic, and it was confirmed. It has not been inspected by the police, manufacturer, or insurance as we bought this vehicle outright from a Facebook Ad. There was a suspension message that appeared on the dash, and we bought it like that. However, I'm unsure to how long that had been on prior to that. My husband was going to work on it over the next weekend as it was supposed to be a work vehicle for him.

MY BATTERY IS DRAINING. I PUT $300 WORTH OF PARTS IN IT AND COME TO FIND OUT IT IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT OTHER PEOPLE WITH SUBURBANS ARE HAVING AS WELL. IT CAUSED MY BRAKE LIGHT TO STOP WORKING EVEN WITH NEW BULBS, THERE IS A BURNING SMELL COMING FROM MY AIR VENTS, MY BATTERY IS DRAINING WHILE I'M DRIVING THE CAR, MY DASH LIGHTS WENT OUT FOR NO REASON AND SOMETIMES THE RADIO DOESN'T WANT TO WORK OR THE LOCKS. I WILL HIT U LOCK BUT SOMETIMES I HAVE TO HIT THE BUTTON MORE THEN ONCE. IT DOES IT WHEN I'M DRIVING. I CAN CHARGE THE BATTERY AND IT WILL BE GOOD FOR ABOUT A DAY THEN I HAVE TO CHARGE IT AGAIN. I HAVE HAD THE BATTERY TESTED AND IT IS GOOD AND I HAVE A BRAND NEW ALTERNATOR AND HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY FOR MY MECHANIC TO DO SOME LOOKING AROUND THE CAR. THAT IS WHEN WE FOUND OUT IT IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. WE JUST HAVEN'T PIN POINTED TO EXACTLY WHAT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO KEEP LOOKING. As the current investigation is going for the General Motors engines 2014-2025 5.3L and 6.2L for AFM/DFM. The same is happening with 2007 - 2014 5.3L engines with DOD. I had a 2014 Chevy Suburban with the 5.3L I had to rebuild the passenger side due to a DOD lifter failing. My current, 2007 Suburban is starting to make a DOD lifter tap, again on the passenger side. I will be getting a full rebuilt engine with the DOD system deleted to prevent this in the future. Hundreds have had this happen in the car forums and I can not imagine how many have encountered the same issue but do not say anything due to chalking it up to mileage, age of the vehicle, or just accepting the failure by design. Most are simply taking it on the chin; paying out of pocket or doing the work themselves to repair, delete, or modify the engines. I understand there is time and the age of the vehicles against these claims, but acknowledgement and shedding light on this known issue from General Motors will help just as much.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while driving 50-60 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle started jerking. Additionally, the contact noticed that there was white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. The vehicle was taken to Triple A service station, where the cause of the failure could not be determined; however, unknown plugs and wire were replaced. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where flour coil packs were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that intake lifter of cylinder #1 was not moving due to a collapsed lifter roller, which lead to oil built up on the oil pan and the rear main seal. The dealer determined that engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 185,000.

The engine has a collapsed lifter that has failed. This problem is placing us at risk of breaking down while driving. I live in a busy city that has a lot of traffic. When I have money, I plan to take the vehicle to the dealership to confirm. I first noticed the problem by hearing the engine make a clicking sound when the engine is running. The sound is coming from the area of lifter location.

The engine began smoking really bad when driving down highway and car locked down. It became undriveable. I was out of town when happened and had to have towed. Mechanic confirmed motor is bad and has to be replaced. Just had transmission replaced 2 weeks prior to this happening. Transmission has had to be replaced 2 x's since I have owned vehicle.

THE VEHICLES WERE STILL SOLD TO CONSUMERS AND RATHER THAN FIXING THE ISSUE (ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE REBUILT OR REPLACED) THE MANUFACTURER IS PLACING ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND COST ($9,000 FIX) ON THE CONSUMER, EVEN WHEN REPORTED BEFORE 100,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER KNOWINGLY SOLD LEMON VEHICLES AND REFUSES TO FIX.

THE FORWARD SPRAG UNIT BROKE WHICH ENDED UP NOT ONLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO COME OUT OF DRIVE WHILE WE WERE DRIVING BUT ALSO CAUSED SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION TO REQUITE AN ENTIRE REBUILD. FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS ARE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE, AND THE TAHOE, YUKON AND BECAUSE THE COMPANY REFUSES TO BACK THEIR PRODUCTS AND RECALL THE ISSUE, IT ENDS UP BECOMING A HUGE FINANCIAL BURDEN ON A FAMILY. THANKFULLY THERE WAS NO ONE FOLLOWING DIRECTLY BEHIND US WHEN THIS HAPPENED OR IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE. CHEVROLET NEEDS TO TAKE NOTE AND STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. CONSUMERS HAVE A RIGHT TO EXPECT A QUALITY VEHICLE THAT SHOULD LAST WELL BEYOND 100K MILES WITHOUT REQUIRING THIS KIND OF MAJOR REPAIR. NOTE THAT GM IS SO AWARE OF THIS SAFETY PROBLEM, THEY ACTUALLY UPDATED THEIR INPUT SPRAG ON LATER CARS TO MAKE THEM STRONGER. THATS RIGHT, THEY HAVE UPDATED THE COMPONENT BUT REFUSE TO RECALL THE ONES ALREADY IN VEHICLES THAT WERE WEAK. ON TWO OCCASIONS AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT READ "SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE" APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHILE THERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE, AND WAS TOLD THAT EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT OKAY, AND THAT I SHOULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN 2WD, NOT AUTO. ALSO, I HAVE BEEN HAVING A TRANSMISSION SLIPPAGE ISSUE THAT STARTED BETWEEN 50,000 MILES AND 58,000 MILES AND WAS VERY SPORADIC. WHEN STARTING FROM A DEAD STOP (STOP LIGHT FOR EXAMPLE), THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T ENGAGE AS I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR. AFTER 10 TO 15 SECONDS OF PRESSING MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD FINALLY ENGAGE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD MOVE SLOWLY WITH THE ENGINE REVVING. I MENTION THIS TO THE DEALER WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 58,000 MILES AND I'M TOLD THAT THEY WILL NEED TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FOR A FEW HOURS AND THERE IS A COST OF $120 PLUS TAX TO PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. AS MY SCHEDULE DID NOT ALLOW FOR THIS THAT DAY, I LEFT. THE PROBLEM WAS VERY SPORADIC AT THIS POINT. AT 63,000 MILES I AM DRIVING OVER A MOUNTAIN PASS AND THE DISPLAY READS SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF "TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING". I PULL OFF THE ROAD AND WAIT FOR IT TO COOL, THEN MAKE MY WAY HOME. I ENTIRE TRIP HOME THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING BETWEEN ALL GEARS AND SHIFTING HARD IN THE HIGHER GEARS. I TAKE IT INTO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY AND I'M TOLD THAT I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. I AM ADVISED BY THE DEALER THAT THERE IS "NO EXTERNAL CAUSE FOR THIS FAILURE" AND " THE INNER MECHANISM OF THE TRANSMISSION HAS FALLEN APART AND CANNOT BE REPAIRED". MY POWERTRAIN WARRANTY ENDED 6 MONTHS AGO, SO I FACE A $3,350 BILL FOR THIS REPAIR. AFTER I COMPLAIN TO GM CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE, THEY AGREE TO PAY 30% OF THE REPAIR AND 5 DAYS OF THE RENTAL CAR, BUT I FEEL THEY SHOULD PAY THE ENTIRE AMOUNT. *TR

When scheduling for airbag recall repair the dealership has informed me that the service may cause the dash to crack or fall in during or after the install. They also advised me that this damage is not covered under the recall warranty. If the dash is not intact that will result in the airbag not being able to properly deploy.

I PURCHASED MY SUBURBAN WITH EXISTING GM WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE HAD ROUGHLY 47,000 MILES ON IT AND 7 MONTHS REMAINING OF THE ORIGINAL FACTORY WARRANTY. AFTER ABOUT 900 MILES THE LOW OIL LIGHT CAME ON, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ODD BECAUSE I CHECKED THE OIL LIFE GAUGE AFTER PURCHASE AND IT SAID IT WAS AT 99% OIL LIFE. THIS WORRIED ME. IT WAS ONE QUART LOW SO I ADDED IT AND DECIDED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. A MONTH LATER AT ABOUT 1000 MILES THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I ADDED ANOTHER QUART AND THEN WENT TO THE DEALER CLOSEST TO MY HOME TO REPORT THE ISSUE. THEY STARTED MONITORING. EACH TIME AT BETWEEN 900 AND 1400 THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND I WAS A QUART LOW. THEY BEGAN REMEDIATION. FIRST THE PVC/VALVE COVER REMEDIATION. THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THEN NEXT THE OIL PAN RELATED REMEDIATION. THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE EITHER. NOW I KEEP HAVING TO TAKE THE SUBURBAN TO THE DEALER WHEN THE OIL LIGHT COMES ON, THEY ADD A QUART AND SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO, FROM A LEGAL STAND POINT BECAUSE I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE CAR IS OUT OF GM WARRANTY (REMEMBER I REPORTED THIS WHILE IT WAS UNDER GM WARRANTY AND REMINDED THEM OF THAT), THAT GM WON'T DO ANYTHING MORE FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS ISSUE. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE NOT CONTACTED GM OR OPENED A CASE FILE AND WONT DO THAT. I WAS TOLD I WILL NEED TO PURSUE THAT ON MY OWN. CHEVY CORPORATE IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM IN THESE TRUCKS AND HAS NOT ONLY WRITTEN IT UP, BUT HAS DESIGNED A FIX FOR IT, DEALER STATES CHEVY CORP DECLINED TO ISSUE A RECALL BECAUSE IT'S A $1600 REPAIR. THE ISSUE IS TWO-FOLD. SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE VALVES NOT SEALING CORRECTLY AND OIL IN THE OIL PLAN SPLASHING UP ONTO THE CYLINDER WALLS FASTER THAN THE RINGS CAN REMOVE IT. WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, THEY DID SOME WORK TO THE VALVE TRAIN, REPLACED FOULED SPARK PLUGS AND ADDED SOME TYPE OF BAFFLE TO THE OIL PAN. FIX IMPROVED POWER, FUEL CONSUMPTION AND REDUCED OIL CONSUMPTIONS TO NORMAL LEVELS. TRUCK NOW RUNS LIKE NEW. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THIS GO TO CHEVY AND DEMAND THE FIX. The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost power steering assist. The contact stated that the failure was only experienced whenever the vehicle was slowed to approximately 5 MPH. During the failure, the steering wheel locked up. The contact stated that after shifting into REVERSE the vehicle would return to normal operation. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 250,000.

Customer has a 2007 Suburban, the steering angle sensor is faulty causing diagnostic trouble code C0455 and traction control inoperative , tested sensor directly to verify fault, the part is no longer available from GM nor aftermarket, it is my professional opinion that there should be a viable part number available from the vehicle manufacturer as this is causing a safety hazard. I STARTED MY CAR AND THE BRAKES WERE GONE AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED UP. I TURNED IT OFF AND STARTED IT AGAIN, THEN THE BRAKES WOULD LOCK UP AND THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. I WAITED A WHILE AND TRIED A THIRD TIME, IT MADE A POWER STEERING MACHINE NOISE AND WAS BACK TO NORMAL. I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM, THEREFORE COULD NOT USE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY TO FIX IT. I PAID OUT OF POCKET FOR A NEW POWER STEERING PUMP, BECAUSE I WILL NOT DRIVE IT IF THERE IS EVEN A CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING AGAIN. IT'S TOO MUCH OF A LIABILITY.

"TAKATA RECALL" THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES AND OVER THE COURSE OF A FEW MONTHS, HAS COMPLETELY BROKEN OVER THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS I AM AFRAID OTHER PIECES WILL FLY OUT IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. I PURCHASED A 2007 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN APPROXIMATELY 18 MONTHS AGO. IT HAD APPROXIMATELY 86000 MILES ON IT. AT APPROXIMATELY 89000 MILES THE DASH BEGAN CRACKING. IT HAS CONTINUED TO CRACK EVER SINCE. THE FIRST ONE WAS ON THE LEFT FRONT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. SINCE THEN I HAVE NUMEROUS CRACKS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THIS COULD BE A HAZARD IF THE AIR BAG IS DEPLOYED AND THE DASH BREAKS FURTHER AND SENDS PROJECTILES OF THE DASH MATERIAL AIRBORNE IN A CRASH. THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH ALL OF THESE MODEL VEHICLES FROM 2007 TO 2011. I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AND PAID FOR BY GM. SOME OF THESE CRACKS HAVE HAPPENED WHILE MOVING AND ONE EVEN HAPPENED FROM THE INTERIOR GETTING COLD INSIDE.

WHEN TEST DRIVING THE SUBURBAN, THE SERVICE STABILITRAC AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON. WE LOOKED IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL AND IT SAID TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF FOR FIFTEEN SECONDS AND RESTART. IF THE LIGHTS DID NOT REAPPEAR THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM SO WE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING TO THE DEALERSHIP. A FEW DAYS AFTER TAKING DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE THE LIGHTS BEGAN TO COME ON REPEATEDLY. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED A SENSOR THAT HAD TO DO WITH THE STEERING. EVERYTHING APPEARED TO BE NORMAL FOR ABOUT A MONTH, BUT THEN REAL PROBLEMS BEGAN TO HAPPEN. THE FIRST ADVERSE OCCURRENCE HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING AT A STEADY SPEED, GOING STRAIGHT, AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH. THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE ENGAGED HARSHLY TWO TIMES IN RAPID SUCCESSION, THEN THE SERVICE STABILITRAC AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON. I DID NOT TOUCH THE BRAKE AND WAS NOT ACCELERATING. I TOOK IT TO A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND THEY HAD IT FOR THREE DAYS TRYING TO ISOLATE THE PROBLEM. THEY EVEN SENT IT HOME WITH A SHOP FOREMAN OVERNIGHT. HOWEVER, THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEM WITH EITHER OF THE SYSTEMS. AS I WAS LEAVING THEIR LOT BOTH LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN, BUT WITHOUT THE HARSH BRAKING. TWO DAYS LATER (TODAY) MY FAMILY AND I WERE BEGINNING TO ENTER AN ENTRANCE RAMP TO THE HIGHWAY (AGAIN AT ABOUT 25-30 MPH) AND THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE ENGAGED THREE TIMES IN RAPID SUCCESSION HARD ENOUGH TO MAKE THE TIRE SQUEAL EACH TIME. WHILE DRIVING APPROX. 20 MILES AN HOUR THERE WAS A LOUD THUD AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT BOTH CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER IN KENTUCKY BUT, DUE TO AN ICE STORM, THERE WAS NO ELECTRICITY. APPROXIMATELY 12 MILES FROM HIS DESTINATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT HE HAD NO BRAKING POWER. HE PLACED THE VEHICLE INTO LOW GEAR AND APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WHEN NECESSARY IN ORDER TO REACH HIS DESTINATION. HE THEN DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO STATED THAT ALL OF THE COMPONENTS APPEARED DISINTEGRATED ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE BRAKE SYSTEM. THIS WAS DEEMED AS THE LIKELY CAUSE OF THE BRAKE FAILURE. THE REAR AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BRAKES WERE FUNCTIONAL IN COMPARISON TO THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE BRAKES. My 2007 Suburban has extensive rust that has left the frame open and crumbling. It appears that the seals on the vehicle did not do their job. The spare tire cannot hold under it. I have never taken it into salt water nor has it had flood damage. Its main years on the road were in CT and NJ. I have never seen a vehicle with this amount of crumbling rust. I have to drive 2 hours each way to see my specialists at Shands Hospital in Gainesville every 2 - 3 months and as a female it does concern me that there is that lifter clicking as well as the oil disappears and yet there's no puddle. Also, the lighting in the cabin ac area doesn't function as well as the rear controls. In Florida my last two problems deal with my problem with heat. The a/c runs intermittently and sometimes only blows very hot air. Also, what a big reason I purchased a Tahoe LTZ and this vehicle was because of the remote start which is not working. Is there anything that can be done. I needed a safe vehicle for my short regular trips and I've become worried and I have already had to rent a vehicle to make the trip out of fear of the cabin getting so hot. With Narcolepsy I can fall asleep without warning. Please advise. I'd love to keep the truck but not if it could mean injuring someone else or myself. Thanks in advance.

SAFE LITE AUTO GLASS PLACED POLYEURETHANE GLUE ON THE REAR WINDOW AUTO DEFROSTER METAL CONTACT TO THE REAR WINDOW OF MY CHEVY 2007 LT SUBURBAN. I HIT THE REMOTE STARTER AND ALLOWED THE CAR TO RUN FOR 9 MINUTES, THE VEHICLE WILL AUTO SHUT OFF AFTER 10 MINUTES. MY DAUGHTER SMELLED SMOKE IN THE CAR SO I INSERTED MY IGNITION KEY AND I ROLLED DOWN THE WINDOWS. 2007 CHEVY SUBURBAN WITH 5.3 AFM ENGINE. DRIVING DOWN FREEWAY AND TRACTION CONTROL, STABILINK AND ENGINE LIGHT COME ON. MISFIRING REAL BAD. AFTER GETTING IT TO SHOP THEY STATED NO COMPRESSION IN 2 CYLINDERS. WHEN TOLD SERVICE MANAGER HE STATED WHAT PROBLEM WAS RIGHT AWAY. THEN CONFIRMED IT. KNEW RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE IT IS COMMON PROBLEM. STATED PROBLEM DROPPED LIFTERS WHICH DAMAGED CAMSHAFT STEMMING FROM AFM SYSTEM. WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO TEAR DOWN ENGINE TO BE EXACT BUT WILL NEED A MOTOR EITHER WAY. THE DOOR HANDLES HAVE CUT THREE MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY BECAUSE THE METAL IS PEELING OFF OF THE PLASTIC. SEAT BELTS ARE FALLING APART AND AT LEAST 3 OF THEM DO NOT LATCH AT ALL. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. 2007 SUBURBAN VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP 25FT BEHIND SEVERAL STOPPED CARS AT A RED LIGHT. WITHOUT PROVOCATION, THE VEHICLE STRONGLY ACCELERATED/SURGED FORWARD WHILE THE BRAKES WERE ENGAGED. DRIVER CONTINUED TO ATTEMPT TO STOP THE VEHICLE BY REPEATEDLY HITTING THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT WITH NO SUCCESS. PASSENGER IN VEHICLE REPORTED SEEING DRIVERS FOOT ON THE BRAKE. TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM WAS PROBLEMATIC FOR YEARS. THE DISPLAY WOULD LIGHT AND MESSAGE CENTER WOULD INDICATE ALL TIRES WERE LOW WHEN NONE WERE BY CHECK OF ACCURATE GAUGE. THIS PROBLEM HAS FINALLY BEEN ADDRESSED AT LEAST TEMPORARILY. CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS STAY ON. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO SHOP AND DEALER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. NO CRASHES OR INJURIES. ON THE INDICATED DATE I HAD THE ENGINE TURNED OFF WITH THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION, LISTENING TO THE RADIO. AFTER A SHORT TIME APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES, I DISCOVERED THAT THE CAR BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DRAINED. I HAVE BEEN CAREFUL NOT LET THESE INCIDENTS OCCUR AGAIN BUT IT HAS REPEATED AT LEAST 6 TIMES. THE MOST RECENT TIME WAS WHEN I HAD A FLAT TIRE REPLACED AND THE TIRE SERVICE TECH ATTEMPTED TO REPROGRAM THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM AT WHICH TIME, THE BATTERY WAS DRAINED IMMEDIATELY. THE REPROGRAMMING WAS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE THE BATTERY WOULD NOT PROVIDE ELECTRICITY TO COMPLETE THE TPMS. I FOLLOWED THE OWNER'S MANUAL'S INSTRUCTIONS' AND HAD THE SAME RESULTS, A DEAD BATTERY AND UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT. I NOW HAVE A USELESS TPMS AND THE DANGER OF GETTING STRANDED WITH A DEAD BATTERY.
