I was sent a notification in February 2021 to notify of a recall for the airbags on my Tahoe. I have received no further information from General Motors, Chevrolet or the local dealer. The notice says a severe injury or death could result from the malfunction. Seven months is not timely. I checked the General Motors website and it states no parts or repairs are available. I will contact them also so see if this can be escalated. Dangerous.

The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe. While the contact's daughter was entering traffic at 65 MPH, the vehicle in front made an abrupt stop. As a result, the contact's daughter was unable to stop the vehicle in time and crashed into the rear of the vehicle. The contact was concerned that no air bags deployed during the impact. In addition, the contact stated that the OnStar feature failed to activate and it was concluded that it was due to the sensors. During the impact, the contact's daughter's head hit the steering wheel and caused an injury in which physical therapy was required on the weekly basis. The vehicle was towed and a police report was filed. The contact also wanted to advise that vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number 21V52000 (Air Bags). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 139,000.

RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE GM RECALL: N212328760. MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE RECALL WORK COMPLETED WITH SIMPSON CHEVROLET IN IRVINE CA. WHEN WE LEFT THE CAR WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY HAVE TO GO UNDER THE DASH TO DO THE WORK, AND IF THEY BREAK OR CRACK THE DASHBOARD, WE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIRS. WE DID NOT HAVE THE WORK COMPLETED AS THE NOTICE SAYS THE SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FOR YOU AT NO CHARGE. THEY ALSO INFLATED THE MILEAGE BY 9,000 MILES.

I WAS NOTIFIED JULY 2016 BY US MAIL THAT MY VEHICLE IS INVOLVED IN GM RECALL 49152 FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR. I HAVE NEVER RECV'D ANY FURTHER COMMUNICATION FROM GM. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA 4/10/19 (ODI #11195391). I MAILED REQUESTED DOCS TO NHTSA 5/15/19. I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE AND THE ISSUE WITH THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED AFTER 4 YEARS OF WAITING FOR A REMEDY.

MY DASH HAS CRACKED WITHOUT ANY FORCE BEING APPLIED TO IT DUE TO CHEAP MATERIAL USED IN MANUFACTURING ITEM. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHICH MAY CAUSE PARTS OF DASH TO PROPEL TO DRIVER AND PASSENGER CAUSING INJURIES.

THE LOCKING MECHANISM ON MY CHEVY TAHOE 2008 LTZ NO LONGER WORKS ON THE DRIVERS DOOR , DRIVERS SIDE PASSENGER DOOR AND RIGHT SIDE PASSENGER DOOR. THE ELECTRONIC LOCK/UNLOCK DOOR MECHANISM NO LONGER LOCKS OR UNLOCKS THE DOORS AS WELL AS THE KEY REMOTE NO LONGER LOCKS OR UNLOCKS THE DOORS. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE BACK DOOR OF THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE USED TO ENTER AND/OR EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,713.

IN APRIL 2011, THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WOULD PERIODICALLY NOT LOCK UNLESS I MANUALLY LOCKED IT. EVENTUALLY IT WOULD NOT LOCK AUTOMATICALLY AT ANY TIME. A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER THE FRONT DRIVER DOOR BEGAN DOING THE SAME THING. THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL AUGUST 2011 SO WE HAD THE LOCKS REPLACED BY A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN JULY 2011. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE NEW FRONT LOCKS OR THE REAR LOCKS THAT WERE NOT REPLACED B/C AT THE TIME THEY WERE WORKING. IN FEBRUARY 2012 THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK AUTOMATICALLY. ABOUT A WEEK LATER, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR BEGAN TO OCCASSIONALLY STAY LOCKED. I CONSIDER THIS A VERY CONCERNING SAFETY ISSUE B/C I CAN NOT OPEN THE DOOR UNLESS I MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR BY EITHER CLIMBING THROUGH THE OTHER SIDE-IF IT OPENS OR THROUGH THE FRONT SEAT. IN THE EVENT ON AN EMERGENCY AND THE DOOR LOCKS FAIL TO UNLOCK, I (OR EMERGENCY RESPONSE CREWS) WOULD BE UNABLE TO REMOVE MY INFANT SON WHOSE CAR SEAT IS PLACED IN THE MIDDLE SEAT OR MY THREE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WHO IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT IS AN ENORMOUS HASSLE TO CLIMB OVER CAR SEATS OR THROUGH THE FRONT TO UNLOCK DOORS, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I AM VERY FEARFUL OF DRIVING WITH THE KIDS IN THE CAR IN CASE I WERE UNABLE TO REMOVE THEM FROM THE CAR IF WE WERE IN AN ACCIDENT, ETC. I CALLED THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND WAS ONCE AGAIN TOLD, IT WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND MY CAR WAS NOW NOT UNDER WARRANTY SO I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT. I EXPLAINED I HAD THE FRONT DOOR LOCKS REPLACED IN JULY AND THE PERSON I SPOKE TO SAID "IF IT IS NOT BROKEN, CHEVY WILL NOT FIX IT." THEY HAVE SUGGESTED I CAN REQUEST/APPLY FOR THE GM ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. "TAKATA RECALL" MY 08 TAHOE'S INSTRUMENT PANEL AND GAUGES ARE FAILING TO WORK AT TIMES. MY SPEED GAUGE, GAS AND RPM GAUGE JUST STOPPED WORKING. THEY STARTED BACK, BUT I THINK IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT I WAS DRIVING IT WHEN IT HAPPENED. I AM JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT AND REPORT THE PROBLEM. THE OIL GAUGE NEVER CAME BACK ON, IS THERE ANYWAY YOU SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS ISSUE? I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN EVERYTHING STARTED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, THE RADIO TURNED OFF ON ITS OWN, AND OTHER LIGHTNING IN THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO FLICKER. REAR DOOR LOCKS (ACTUATORS) STOPPED WORKING. FIRST PASSENGER REAR LOCK FAILED TO OPEN OR CLOSE. THIS HAPPENED AFTER WARRANTY COVERAGE HAD ENDED. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A WIDESPREAD GM ISSUE ESPECIALLY WITH 2008-09 GM SUV TYPE OF VEHICLES. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THE ACTUATOR MOTOR FAILS. IT IS ALSO MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS ELECTRICAL FAILURE IS DUE TO A VERY INEXPENSIVE ELECTRICAL ACTUATOR IS USED FOR THE LOCKING MECHANISM. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE AND I AM WONDERING WHEN GM WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. *TR

A FEW YEARS AGO ALL THREE DOOR LOCKS WENT AT THE SAME TIME ON MY 2008 TAHOE. I TOLD MY DEALER THIS SEEMS VERY UNUSUAL. ASKED IF THERE IS A RECALL AND HE SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS. I AM NOT SURE OF THE EXACT DATE OTHER THAN TO TELL YOU IT WAS A FEW YEARS AGO. A FEW MONTHS AGO LEFT BLINKER WONT WORK. TOOK TO DEALER AGAIN. SAID TO BRING IT BACK AS THEY NEEDED MORE TIME TO WORK ON IT AND THINK I NEEDED AN ENTIRE NEW FUSE BOX. SATURDAY OCT. 5, 2013 HEADLIGHTS CAME ON WHILE PARKED IN PARKING LOT. NEXT DAY IT WAS TOTALLY DEAD. TRIED CHARGING IT AND HEADLIGHTS CAME ON AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. HAD TO DISCONNECT FUSES AND BATTERY. WEIRD MESSAGES KEEP POPPING UP ON DASHBOARD SUCH AS CHECK TIRE PRESSURE. IT WILL SAY REAR BUT ACTUALLY IT IS THE FRONT. SOMETIMES IT ISN'T ANY TIRE THAT IS LOW. REAR PASSENGER DOOR ELECTRIC LOCK ACTUATOR FAILED RESULTING IN NO WAY TO OPEN THE DOOR WITHOUT MANUALLY UNLOCKING IT FROM THE INSIDE. IN THE EVEN OF AN EMERGENCY, THERE WOULD BE NO WAY TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE OR FROM THE LOCK SWITCH ON THE DRIVER DOOR. IN ADDITION, THERE IS NO KEY LOCK ON THIS DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. I HAVE LEARNED THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON 2008 CHEVROLETS, WHICH HAS COST CONSUMERS A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY IN ADDITION TO SUBJECTING THEM TO SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS. I WAS THE VICTIM OF A THEFT WHEN A PASSENGER DID NOT MANUALLY LOCK THE DOOR AND SEVERAL DAYS LATER WHEN I WAS PARKED IN A PARKING GARAGE SOMEONE ENTERED MY VEHICLE AND STOLE PERSONAL PROPERTY. THIS WOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED IF THE LOCK ACTUATOR HAD FUNCTIONED PROPERLY AND LOCKED THE DOOR WHEN I LOCKED THE OTHERS. TO DATE, CHEVROLET HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS ISSUE BUT REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING TO CORRECT IT WITHOUT AN APPROXIMATE CHARGE OF $300 - $400 PER DOOR. *TR

I BOUGHT MY CHEVY TAHOE IN 2012.I WOULD CHANGED MY OIL EVERY 3000 MILES.EVERY TIME MY OIL WAS CHANGED,THE OIL TECH WOULD INFORM ME THAT YOUR OIL IS VERY LOW BY SHOWING ME THE DIP STICK.WHEN I HAD 167,009 MILES,I WAS EXPERIENCING LIFTER NOISE AND OIL CONSUMPTION.I TOOK MY TAHOE TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP WERE THEY FOUND EHAUST LIFTERS AND CAM LOBE WAS WORN.THEY HAD TO REPLACE CAMSHAFT,LIFTERS,OIL PUMP,BOLTS,GASKETS,ETC.VERY EXPENSIVE FIX.NOW THAT,I HAVE MY 5.3 VORTEX MOTOR FIXED,IT STILL CONSUMING OIL.I HAVE HAD MANY OIL CHANGES SINCE MOTOR WAS REPAIRED AND STILL MY 5.3 VORTEX MOTOR IS CONSUMING OIL SHOWING LOW ON OIL DIP STICK.ON 12/5/2020,I HAD A OIL CHANGE AT A OIL CHANGE PLACE AND THE TECHNICIAN SHOWED ME THE DIPSTICK WITH THE OIL SHOWING VERY LOW.WHERE IS THIS OIL GOING?

I PURCHASED MY TAHOE FROM THE DEALER BRAND NEW AND ALWAYS TOOK IT TO GET SERVICED AT THE SAME DEALER. IN 2015 I TOOK IT IN FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THEY SAID THERE WAS A MISFIRE AND THEY REPLACED THE CAMSHAFT AND MACHINED THE HEADS STATING THAT THE VALVES WERE LEAKING. REPAIRS COST NEARLY $3000. THIS YEAR 2018 IN MARCH THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS A MISFIRE IN A CYLINDER THE SAME CYLINDER THAT WAS MIFIRING 3 YEARS PRIOR. THEY SAID A ROLLER ON THE ROCKER DISINTERGRATED AND REPAIRS WOULD COST CLOSE TO $6000 THIS IS NOT DUE TO ANYTHING I DID THE VEHICLE DOES EVEN HAVE 100,000 MILES ON IT. NO HARSH DRIVING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. NOT A SAFETY ISSUE BUT I THINK IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT.

TOOK TANK OFF AND FUEL PUMP WAS RUSTED ALMOST ALL THE WAY THROUGH. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT HE HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO ANOTHER 2007 TAHOE JUST A FEW WEEKS PRIOR.

FIRE HAZARD EXPLOSION HAZARD ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD. WHILE IN MOTION PRESSURIZED FUEL LINES AT THE FURL PUMP CAN UNEXPECTEDLY FAIL DUE TO CORROSION RESULTING IN FUEL BEING PUMPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE ONTO THE UNDER SURFACES OF THE VEHICLE AND THE ROADWAY. AS MUCH AS 25 GALLONS OF FUEL CAN BE EXPELLED FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION WITH NO WARNING TO THE DRIVER OTHER THAT A RAPIDLY DIMINISHING OF AMOUNT OF FUEL REMAINING AS SHOWN BY THE FUEL GAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WHEN THE FAULT OCCURRED BUT IT WAS NOT NOTICED UNTIL THE VEHICLE EXITED THE HIGHWAY AT WHICH TIME A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE WAS NOTICED. WHEN THE ENGINE WAS SHUT OFF AND THE VEHICLE EXITED A POOL OF GASOLINE WAS OBSERVED UNDER THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A REPAIR FACILITY. DURING THE REPAIR IT WAS NOTED THAT THE FUEL POMP IS LOCATED AT THE TOP OF THE TANK AND COULD BE OBSERVED WITHOUT REMOVING THE TANK FROM THE VEHICLE. UPON REMOVAL IT WAS FOUND THE PUMP MOUNTING LACATION WAS IN A WELL MOLDED INTO THE PLASTIC FUEL TANK. THE WELL WAS FULL OF SAND AND DUST WHICH WAS CLEANED OUT REVEALING A MASS OF RUST ON THE STEEL FUEL PUMP SUPPORT AND LOCKING RING AS WELL AS THE STEEL PRESSURE AND RETURN LINES. THE LEAK WAS DETERMINED TO BE IN THE PRESSURE LINE LINE INSIDE THE PLASTIC FUEL LINE QUICK CONNECT BOTH STEEL FUEL LINES DISINTEGRATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DISCONNECT THE PLASTIC LINES FROM THE TANK.REPAIRS INCLUDED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL PUMP, BOTH PLASTIC FUEL LINES AND QUICK CONNECTS.THESE COMPONENTS ARE IDENTICAL.TO THOSE ORIGINALLY INSTALLED AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE SAME CORROSION AS THE ORIGINALS DUE THE TO THE POOR DESIGN OF THE PUMP PLACEMEN TON THE TANK AND THE FAILURE TO SHIELD THE COMPONENTS FROM BEING COVERED WITH SAND AN DUST, PARTICULARLY IN AREAS WHERE SALT IS USED ON THE ROADS IN WINTER.

THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 161,000.

THE SAD PART OF THIS IS THAT I HAD TO REPLACE ALL THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ALSO BECAUSE THEY ALL BROKE OFF FROM THE CHEAP PLASTIC CLIP THAT HOLDS THE HANDLE IN PLACE - NO RECALL ON THAT EITHER. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE COST OF THE LTZ VEHICLES. I HAVE A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ WHICH HAS ~53000 MILE ON IT. I HAVE IN THE LAST 2 YEARS REPLACED 2 DOOR HANDLES AND 2 DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS. DEALERSHIP ACTUALLY TOLD ME THIS MORNING AFTER HAD 2ND LOCK ACTUATOR REPLACED THAT ANOTHER LOCK ACTUATOR FAILED. AS YOU COULD IMAGINE I WANTED TO EXPLODE. I WAS LIVID, ESPECIALLY AT THE COST OF REPLACING THESE ITEMS. I DID NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH IT BEFORE THEY STARTED LOOKING AT THE OTHER ONE. IT LOOKED LIKED THEY WERE TRYING TO MILK ME FOR MONEY IN MY OPINION. I AM ASTONISHED THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL ON THESE ITEMS, AS OF YET. IT IS APPARENT THAT THESE PARTS ARE DEFECTIVE, ESPECIALLY THE LOCK ACTUATORS. ANY SEARCHES ON THE WEB OR DISCUSSION WITH ANY DEALER ADVISORS ONE WOULD REALIZE THESE PARTS HAVE ISSUES. DASH HAS CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES. FIRST CRACK IS ON RIGHT SIDE OF DASH, TOP LEFT OF THE AIR BAG PANEL. SECOND CRACK IS ON LEFT SIDE OF DASH OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. MOST PEOPLE DON'T THINK ABOUT A CRACKED DASH BEING DANGEROUS. HOWEVER, IF THE AIRBAGS ARE DEPLOYED, FRAGMENTS COULD BECOME PROJECTILES THAT CAN HARM PASSENGERS. CHEVROLET/GM NEEDS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.

I had bought the 08 Tahoe hybrid. The day it was delivered, it stalled I called the dealership out of Minnesota and was told oh it could be this it could be that went to two local shops and a private shop all had different specifications as to what was wrong with the car due to so many codes being thrown out. You would try to take off from a stop sign or a red light car would completely lose all power, almost had multiple people slam into me because it always happened, caused so much anxiety because my only wheels to get my children around. Once again was told to take it in GM had it for over a year and could not figure the issue out. I was told by the dealer multiple times it was not their issue and they knew the position I was in an said it was inspected but refused to send me the paperwork.

FIRST PROBLEM WAS THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT CRANK. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE JUMPED OFF AND THEN IT CRANKED QUICKLY. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE WINDOW CONTROL, SPEAKERS AND HEATER WOULD GO IN/ OUT OF OPERATION. THE SPEAKERS IN ALL FOUR DOORS WOULD GO OUT THEN COME BACK ON AT DIFFERENT TIMES. SOMETIMES THEY WOULD WORK ALL AT ONCE, OTHER TIMES ONE, TWO OR EVEN THREE MAY COME ON AND OFF. THE HEATER WOULD COME ON BLOWING SOME TIMES THEN CUTS OFF AGAIN AND AGAIN. THE HEATER BLOWER WOULD ALSO BLOW AT ONE SPEED THEN BLOW AT ANOTHER SPEED WITHOUT ANYONE CHANGING THE SETTINGS. THE WINDOW CONTROLS WILL MAKE THE HEATER BLOW STRONGER, THEN WHEN THE WINDOW CONTROL IS RELEASED IT WILL CUT THE HEATER OFF. THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW CONTROLS WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. THE REAR PASSENGERS ALSO CAN NOT GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS TO BE OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE FOR INDIVIDUALS SITTING IN THE SECOND ROW SEATS. THE ONLY CONTROL THAT WILL WORK THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOWS IS THE DRIVER SIDE CONTROL. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS A LIGHT SMOKE SMELL COMING FROM THE VENTS. THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR IN THE FRONT WILL OPEN FOR THE PASSENGER SOMETIMES THEN AT OTHER TIMES SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT CRANK BACK UP AFTER BEEN CUT OFF, IT ALWAYS HAS TO BE JUMPED OFF. THE BATTERY IS DRAINED EVERYTIME THE VEHICLE IS SITTING DOWN AND NOT BEING OPERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES WITHOUT BEING FIXED. GM CORPORATION WAS CALLED AND I WAS INFORMED A RECALL WAS ON SOME VEHICLES BUT NOT OTHERS. I WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT LISTED AS ONE THOU. THE DEALERSHIP CHECKED MY VEHICLE AND INFORMED ME THAT MY VEHICLE DIDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUES BUT THEN ON A SECOND REQUEST THEY INFORMED ME THAT MY VEHICLE HAD A BAD BATTERY AND WAS HAVING FIRING TROUBLE. 2008 HYBRID TAHOE SLOW REVERSE OUT OF PARKING SPACE, ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE IN THE BRAKES. PUT THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND VEHICLE CAME TO ROLLING STOP, 5-10 FEET WITH PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. AFTER GETTING THE REQUIRED SOFTWARE UPDATE FROM GM, MY 2008 HYBRID TAHOE HAS HAD MULTIPLE EPISODES OF UNCONTROLLED ACCELERATION WHEN DRIVING ON CRUISE CONTROL. WHEN USING CRUISE CONTROL AT AROUND 30MPH AND WHEN REACHING AN INCLINE THAT REQUIRES SLIGHT ACCELERATION TO MAINTAIN SPEED, THE VEHICLE "FLOORS" ITSELF, DOWNSHIFTS AND ACCELERATES AGGRESSIVELY. TAKATA RECALL ON MY VEHICLE - WHY IS TAKING SO LONG TO REMEDY THIS RECALL? I ALSO HAVE A FEW OTHER ISSUES I WANT TO MENTION. I BOUGHT MY TAHOE IN JULY 2016, MY DASH IS CRACKING ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND FROM WHAT I'VE READ, THIS IS VERY COMMON AND GM IS IGNORING THE ISSUE. MY VEHICLE ALSO STARTED TAKING OFF ON ITS OWN, TOOK EXTRA PRESSURE TO STOP & RPM WOULD FLUCTUATE SPORADICALLY. AFTER CONTACTING A DEALER, I WAS TOLD THERE WAS CAMPAIGN TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY SENSOR BUT IT HAD EXPIRED WHILE THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD POSSESSION AND WAS TOLD I'D HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR AND WOULD POSSIBLY HAVE TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY. Cooper Discoverer All-Terrain LT265/70R17 123S All-Terrain Tire. Just purchased from Walmart Oct 31, 2024. This is the email I sent to Walmart Claims Service, Inc. First of all, the tires were installed in the wrong manner. The Tire Pressure Sensor Monitor (TPMS) was installed on all four tires. I was fraudulently told that the car battery was bad and that the TPMS were unable to be reset. My auto battery was only purchased 3 months ago and the best battery that can be purchased from NAPA for my vehicle. When I returned to the indicated store, I was given the same BS story about my car battery being bad without proof of defect. This was an obvious attempt to get me to purchase a replacement battery. Fortunately, I have my own device to reprogram the TPMS devises. I was able to reprogram the TPMS devices on all 4 tires without problem on the first try. This is clear evidence of bad faith dealing on the part of Walmart. The tire pressure is 80psi. at the maximum load rating of the tire. At the recommended pressure of 44psi the tires are too soft. The tire squishes and rolls when driving around moderate curves at the posted speed limit of the roadway. This causes an unsafe condition and very dangerous to trailer a pull along vehicle. These tires are UNSAFE!!!! And that is a fact that cannot be disproven. Walmart is totally responsible for any product liability as a result of any death or damage sustained. I am not interested in entertaining any comments about, "if you feel they are unsafe, then don't drive the vehicle". I didn't purchase new tires for my vehicle to sit in the driveway. These tires need to be replaced ASAP with an alternate viable option. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ At the recommended operating tire pressure of 44psi the sidewalls are not supportive enough to prevent the rear end from pulling to the side, slipping, and sliding. This is more prominent when going around moderate curves.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE LT. THE VEHICLE HAS GENERAL GRABBER UHP TIRES, LINE SIZE 275/55/R20. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE RIM WAS FRACTURED. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. WITHIN TWO MONTHS, THE TIRE EXPLODED WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 60 MPH. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TIRE AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER INSPECTED AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE EXHIBITED EXTREME TREAD WEAR. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. ON A LATER DATE WHILE ATTEMPTING A TURN, THE CONTACT UNEXPECTANTLY DROVE OVER THE CURB. LATER, HE NOTICED THE TIRE WAS CRACKED IN THE SAME AS THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE WAS PREVIOUSLY. THE REAR TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE TIRE DOT NUMBER AND THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000 AND THE CURRENT WAS 16,000.

The air ride control module under the spare tire in the rear of the vehicle has deteriorated and the connections melted so I had to disconnect the module I noticed smoke from underneath the rear of my vehicle I believe if I did not disconnect the module there would have been a fire i have the module that I can send pictures to you of the plug the connection and the deteriorating module these vehicles are supposed to be made to be used in the upstate weather and to leave a important piece of electrical equipment out like that is nonsense and to replace the module is approximately 500 without me going to the dealership.

AROUND FEBURARY OF THIS YEAR MY VEHICLE BEGIN TO IDLE OUT OF CONTROL AND WAS ATTEMPTING TO GUN OFF EVERTIME I TRIED TO PUT IT IN DRIVE, ACCORDING TO GM THEY WERE ALREADY AWARE OF THE ISSUES AND SAID THEY HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE THROTTLE BODY FOR MY 2008 CHEVY TAHOE. MY CAR DID EXACTLY WHAT GM SAID IT WOULD DO TO CONFIRM IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY BUT THE GM SERVICE DEPARTMENT DENIED THE ISSUE CLAIMING IT WAS A LOOSE VACUM HOSE AND WOULD NOT REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY. MY VEHICLE STILL DOES NOT OPERATE AS IT SHOULD WHICH I KNOW IS DUE TO THE THROTTLE BODY ISSUE. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE STOPPED BLOWING AND THEN BEGIN TO START BLOWING ABOUT 20MINUTES LATER. THE VEHICLE ALSO BEGIN TO SMELL OF SMOKE AT ONE POINT. THE CONTROL BUTTONS FOR THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOWS STOP WORKING. THE SPEAKERS BEGIN TO GO IN/ OUT OF PLAY AND THE REAR WINDOWS WOULD ONLY WORK FROM THE DRIVER'S DOOR CONTROL. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE HYBRID. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND THE STOW-N-GO SEAT SLAMMED AGAINST THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS. THE SPRING ON THE SEATS ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD THE SEATS. THE CONTACT PLACED A BUNGEE CORD ON THE BACK OF THE SEAT TO HOLD IT IN PLACE. GM KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM - GM BULLETIN #07-08-50-018A, 10/02/2007 MODELS 2007AND 08 TAHOES AND MANY OTHER MODELS BUILT WITH CLOTH SEATS PRIOR TO 8/01/07. SUPPOSED TO RECOVER THE SEATS BUT AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS BACK AND FORTH WITH GM THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR US. OUR TAHOE IS A 08, # . THE FABRIC SEATS PULL CLOTH FIBERS FROM ANY TYPE OF CLOTHING YOU ARE WEARING AND THE SEATS LOOK FILTHY ALL THE TIME. THE FIBERS ARE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE WITH A LINT BRUSH OR A VACUUM. Was Delivered. Took for a test drive. Stalled at stop sign. Restarted went down the road stalled and slammed into park. Contacted company was told to take to local GMC/Chevy, (said they did a bunch of research and this part should work) basically guessing had my vehicle for 9 months replaced some sensor. Had my boyfriend Drove to red light, not even half a block, stall (stable track sensor) but lost all electric but v8 still ran took to another ( had towed) to another local shop they had for 4+ months couldn't figure out said it was running 18+ codes and would cost too much to go through. Contacted company the gentleman politely laughed and said ur kidding me right it's been years I tried to explain how long it was taking due to both repairs company had it over a year n half. No sympathy he knew exactly what he sold.

VEHICLE SHUTS OFF RANDOMLY FROM STOP TO AUTO START TRANSITION FEATURE. MODULES HAS BEEN UPDATED TO LATEST VERSION. PROBLEM STILL ACCUMULATING HYBRID BATTERIES SOC 60% BATTERY TEMPERATURE INLET 81F OUTLET 107F 340VOLT TOTAL CHARGE IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEM ACCURED. AUX TRANS PUMP AND MODULE REPLACED NEW. HYBRID BATTERY COOLING FAN REPLACED NEW. PROBLEM STILL EXIST DEALER CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM OR THEY DONT WANT TO DEAL. IN THE EVEN OF SHUT OFF I LOOSE BRAKE POWER AND STEERING POWER WHICH I CAN NOT STOP OR STEER THE VEHICLE TO PULL OVER THIS RESULTS IN SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.

I DROVE MY VEHICLE IN THE MORNING AND THEN PARKED IT FOR ABOUT 2.5 HOURS. WHEN I STARTED MY VEHICLE THE GAS GAUGE SHOWED MY CAR WAS EMPTY, EVEN THOUGH I HAD JUST RECENTLY FILLED UP AND HAD ONLY GONE ABOUT 80 MILES ON THE TANK, MY AIRBAG READINESS LIGHT STAYED ON, AND NONE OF MY GAUGES WERE FUNCTIONING. ALSO, THE LIGHT FOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAG ABOVE MY REVIEW MIRROR DIDN'T ILLUMINATE AT ALL. I DROVE IT FOR A FEW SECONDS AND TRIED TURNING IT OFF AND THEN BACK ON, BUT NOTHING CHANGED. AFTER DRIVING IT FOR A FEW MILES, I PARKED AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AGAIN. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON, EVERYTHING BEGAN WORKING AGAIN. I BELIEVE THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE, BUT WHEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP, I COULD NOT GET IT TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. BESIDES THE OBVIOUS DANGER OF NOT HAVING ANY GAUGES WHILE DRIVING, MY FEAR IS THAT THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY IN AN ACCIDENT.

TAKATA RECALL. BETWEEN 2010/2011 SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS (FRONT AND BACK), DEPLOYED WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE IN OPTIMUM DRIVING CONDITIONS, AFTER A PASSING OVER A POTHOLE IN THE ROADWAY. I WAS TRAVELOING WITH MY THEN [XXX] SON AND DAUGHTER. IMEEDIATELY TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP ONLY TO WAIT OVER A MONTH, WITHOUT A VEHICLE, AND NEVER GIVEN THE OPTION OF A RENTAL OR LOANER VEHICLE. AS "CHEVROLET" INVESTIGATED THE ON-BOARD COMPUTER DATA, IT FALSELY READ THAT AIRBAGS DEPLOYED DUE TO "ROLLOVER EVENT" DATA WAS SENT TO THE VEHICLES SRS SYSTEM. CHEVROLET THEN DEEMED THAT I WAS DRIVING OVER 95 MPH (WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO THE REV LIMITER), AND I HAD OVERSIZED WHEELS ON MY VEHICLE. WHEEL DIAMETER AND SIZE WERE NOT THE FACTOR, AS THEY WERE WITHIN 5/32" OF OEM STOCK DIMENSIONS. I WAS CHARGED FOR "TROUBLESHOOTING", AS WEWLL AS LABOR FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE SIDE AIRBAGS, AND THEY DECLINED THE CLAIM. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE HAD TO REYTURN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO AGAIN "WARRANTY" THE ECM, BCM, WINDOW REGULATOR (TWICE), AS WELL AS CHARGING SYSTEM FAULTS. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY WAS AGAIN DENIED SAYING IT WAS NOT WITHIN THE PARAMETERS OF THE COVERAGE. FULL EXTENDED WARRANTY, BUMPER TO BUMPER AND THIS WAS NOT COVERED? THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V240000, (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEATED WASHER MODULE WOULD BE PERMANENTLY DISABLED AND REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT BY REMOVING THE HEATED WASHER FLUID MODULE FROM THE VEHICLE, HE WOULD BE UNABLE TO REMOVE ICE FROM THE WINDSHIELD DURING ICY WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE HEATED WASHER MODULE WAS AN ADDED EXPENSE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE RECALL REPAIR UNTIL THEY REVISED THE VEHICLE SO THAT NO ONE COULD INSTALL ANY TYPE OF HEATED WASHER MODULES IN THE VEHICLE. AS SOON AS WE DROVE OUR USED 2008 TAHOE OFF THE DEALER LOT WE HAD A TAIL LIGHT OUT THAT THEY CLAIM WAS JUST A LIGHT BULB BLOWN BUT IT STILL CONTINUES TO TURN OFF AND ON BY ITSELF. WE'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS SEAT BELT BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T RETRACT ALL THE WAY. THE DASH CRACKED ALMOST ALL THE WAY FROM END TO END AND IT IS GARAGED UNLESS WE ARE OUT DRIVING AROUND SO THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON FOR IT TO CRACK. THE DRIVER SIDE CHROME DOOR HANDLE IS PEELING AND HAS CUT OUR HANDS. WE'VE HAD TO HAVE THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED RIGHT AFTER WE BOUGHT IT AS WELL. THIS WHOLE TRUCK IS A LEMON! 1. DOOR LOCKS FAILED. HAVE BEEN REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES. AS A RESULT, MY [XXX] OLD BABY GOT LOCKED IN THE CAR IN 100 DEGREE WEATHER IN AUGUST. IT CONTINUES TO BE AN ISSUE AND OFTEN I HAVE TO RESORT IN CLIMBING THROUGH THE BACK TAILGATE. 2. STABILITRACK AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS FLASH. SOMETIMES AFTER THESE LIGHTS FLASH, MY VEHICLE WILL GO INTO "REDUCED POWER MODE" ON ITS ON WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS GOING 65 MPH OR PULLING OUT FROM SOMEWHERE. 3.MY WIPERS WORK WHEN THEY WANT TO...EVER SINCE THE TWO RECALLS CHEVROLET RELEASED, THE WORK INTERMITTENTLY WHEN THEY WANT TO. 4. WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, THE DOOR LOCKS BEGIN TO CYCLE (UP AND DOWN), THE CLOCK RESETS ITSELF TO TWELVE, STATIC RUNS THROUGH THE RADIO, THE CONSOLE LIGHTS (LIGHTING, ENGINE CK, STABILITY CONTROL) FLICKER ON AND OFF AND THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS AT WILL. THE EFFECT ON THE TRANSMISSION IS OF PARTICULAR CONCERN BECAUSE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY SLOWS DOWN CAUSING A POTENTIAL HAZARD FOR THE DRIVER, ITS OCCUPANTS, AND OTHERS. ONCE THE VEHICLE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF, ALL POWER INSIDE, DOME LIGHTS, RADIO, ETC TURN OFF AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT RESTART UNTIL THE BATTERY CABLE IS MOVED BACK AND FORTH AND A CONNECTION IS REESTABLISHED. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY IN PRETTY HEAVY TRAFFIC. THE TRAFFIC STARTED TO DISPERSE AND AS I ACCELERATED, THE NOTIFICATION CHIME CAME ON AND THE DASH MESSAGE SAID "STABILITRACK OFF, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED". I COULD NOT DRIVE ANY FASTER THAN ABOUT 20MPH AND IT WAS JERKING A BIT. I PULLED OVER AND PUSHED THE ONSTAR BUTTON. THEY SENT A TOW TRUCK AND AFTER SITTING ON THE ROAD FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, WHEN I STARTED THE TRUCK AGAIN, THE MESSAGE WAS GONE. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER ANYWAY, AND WAS TOLD THAT IT IS A SENSOR PROBLEM, WHICH IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. I HAVE A FRIEND THAT HAS A 2007 TAHOE AND SHE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON A 2008 CHEVY TAHOE HYBRID. I WAS ON THE WAY TO THE DEALER WHEN THE ENGINE MOVED TO ALMOST WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. I TRIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE WITH THE BRAKES BUT THE POWER OF THE VEHICLE WAS TOO MUCH. I MOVED INTO THE CENTER TURN LANE TO NOT HIT ANYONE AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL. THE THROTTLE WAS STILL ALMOST WOT. I WAS LESS THAN A HALF MILE FROM THE DEALER WHEN THIS OCCURED. THE VEHICLE LURCHED INTO THE DEALERSHIP PARKING LOT WITH THE SMELL OF BURNING BRAKES. I ASKED THE TECHNICIAN TO COME OUTSIDE. HE NOTICED THE FLOOR MAT WAS WEDGED INBETWEEN THE FLOOR AND THE BRAKE PEDAL. THIS HAD CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO KEEP COMING ON. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE HYBRID. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. SUDDENLY, THERE WAS NO RESPONSE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE DRIVER EXPERIENCED EXTREME DIFFICULTY STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN UPON REACHING ITS DESTINATION. THE "ON STAR" DEVICE WAS ENGAGED AND RECOMMENDED THAT THE ENGINE BE TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. IMMEDIATELY, THE COMPUTER SYSTEM RESET ITSELF; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE POWER ASSIST FAILED. THE TECHNICIAN REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM AND REPLACED DIFFERENT CONTROL MODULES. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING OVER 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 5,500.
