FUEL GAUGE ACTS RADICALLY GOING FROM EMPTY TO FULL. AT THIS TIME IS CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STOP AND GO AS IF IT'S OUT OF GAS. THIS HAS HAPPEN AT 55 MILES AN HOUR TO LOW AS 35 MPH. THIS HAS HAPPEN WITH IN TRAFFIC ALMOST CAUSING THE PERSON FROM BEHIND TO HIT ME AT HIGH SPEEDS. THIS HAS HAPPEN IN A PART OF THE CITY WHERE A PERSON LIKE ME, A WHITE, FEMALE, AND ALONE AT THE TIME COULD HAVE LOST A LOT DUE TO THE HIGH CRIME RATE IN THE AREA. *TR

AS I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 45 MPH ON 2 LANE STATE ROUTE. MY FUEL LOW INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR SHUT OFF IMMEDIATELY. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET TO SIDE OF ROAD AND GET HAZARD LIGHTS TURNED ON BEFORE AN ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR. AFTER FILLING TANK EVERYTHING SEEMED NORMAL. THEN ABOUT 3 MONTHS LATER AGAIN THE LOW FUEL INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON AND CAR SHUTS OFF IMMEDIATELY. AGAIN I WAS ABLE TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT BY GETTING CAR TO SIDE OF ROAD AND USING HAZARD LIGHTS. AFTER THIS INCIDENT WE FILLED THE TANK AND THE LOW FUEL INDICATOR STAYED LIT, THEN WENT OFF, FUEL GAUGE SHOWED FULL, THEN 1/2, THEN 3/4, THEN LOW FUEL LIGHT BACK ON (ALL THIS HAPPENED IN THE 12 MILES TO GET HOME). NOW THE LOW FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON AND THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS TO REFUEL EVERY FEW HUNDRED MILES AND THAT IS WRONG. *TR

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH at nighttime, the low-beam headlights started flickering, and then became inoperable. The vehicle decelerated and veered to the side of the road. The contact engaged the high-beam headlights and continued driving. The contact stated that he replaced the low-beam headlights relay several times. Additionally, the contact replaced the low beam headlights switch, bulb, and fuses; however, the failure persisted. The local dealer and a second dealer, Pohanka Chevrolet (13915 US-50, Chantilly, VA 20151) were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The contact related the failure to GM Campaign Number: N140291. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the headlights became inoperable without warning. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times. The contact replaced the headlight bulbs three times, the fuse, and the switch. The failure persisted. The contact had spoken with the dealer who stated the headlamp driver module (HDM) module needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer informed the contact that an unknown recall for the failure had expired. The approximate failure mileage was 200,200.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at night, the low-beam headlights would not provide adequate illumination for safe driving. The hi-beam headlight would be used to provide adequate illumination. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V519000 (Exterior Lighting) which she linked to the failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where she was informed that there were no recalls on the VIN. The contact was able to replace the module and fuses; however, the headlights remained defective. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 219,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE HEADLIGHTS AND EXTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKERED OFF AND ON FOR 15 TO 20 SECONDS WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT CALLED THE TEETER MOTOR CO DEALER LOCATED AT 1512 W MOLINE ST, MALVERN, AR 72104 AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VIN. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V519000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. HEADLIGHTS WENT OFF ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THIS PAST WEEK, IT ALSO HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE SEVERAL MONTHS BACK. THEY JUST SHUT OFF AND WHILE YOUR PANICKING AND HITTING THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH SEVERAL TIMES THEY FINALLY COME BACK ON. WE WILL NOT DRIVE IT AT NIGHT ANYMORE. WHY IS MY CAR NOT RECALLED WHEN OTHERS FROM THE SAME YEAR ARE. I HAVE BEEN WORKING IN MANUFACTURING FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS AND MY DAD WORKED ON THE GM ASSEMBLY LINE FOR THIRTY YEARS. DON'T KID YOURSELF THAT YOU KNOW WHICH BATCH OF PARTS WERE USED ON A PARTICULAR CAR. MY VIN IS DEFECTIVE.

FFUSE BLOCK CAUGHT ON FIRE BECAUSE OF BAD RELAY. THE LIGHTS WENT OUT ON MY WAY HOME FROM MISSOULA MONTANA TO HAMILTON MONTANA. THANKFULLY THE HIGH BEAMS STILL WORKED . ON OPENING THE FUSE BLOCK THE DAY AND LOW BEAM LIGHS RELAY HAD MELTED A 1/2 INCH HOLE IN THE FUSE BLOCK.

WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE IT STARTED PRODUCING A LIGHT SMOKE THROUGH DEFROST VENT ON PASSENGER SIDE. I STOPPED AND OPENED THE HOOD TO SEE IF SOMETHING WAS ON FIRE IN THE ENGINE AREA AND THERE WAS NOT. I GOT BACK IN MY VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE IT BACK HOME AND WITHIN SECONDS I HAD BLACK SMOKE ROLLING FROM DASHBOARD AND FLAMES SHOOTING FROM UNDER DASH ON PASSENGER SIDE HITTING PASSENGER SEAT NEXT TO ME I PULLED OVER AND MY SON AND I JUMPED OUT THANKFULLY HE WAS IN BACK SEAT AND THE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES WITHIN SECONDS. HAD RECALL REPAIRED AT DEALER. CAR CAUGHT FIRE DOOR PANEL SWITCHES. REPAIR HAS NOW FAILED AGAIN 12/23/2019. THE PREVIOUS INCIDENT, WIRES WERE BURNING IN THE DOOR PANEL. DOOR LOCKS AND LIGHT WERE OPERATING ERRATICALLY. THIS TIME THE DRIVER S CONTROLS ARE ALL INOPERATIVE. CAR WAS MOVING AT TIME, MADE TO HOUSE, CALLED FIRE DEPT VIA ONSTAR. THE SPEEDOMETER KEEPS MALFUNCTIONING. THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE STICKS AT A HIGHER SPEED AFTER DECELERATING OR STOPPING, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW WHAT SPEED YOU ARE DRIVING. THIS HAPPENS MOSTLY WHEN THE WEATHER WARMS UP, SPRING/SUMMER/FALL. MAKING A HARD BRAKING STOP, LIKE AT AN INTERSECTION, WILL SOMETIMES CAUSE THE NEEDLE TO DROP BACK 5-10 MPH, AS WILL TURNING THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON. MOST SPECIFICALLY, YESTERDAY, MAY 31, 2019, THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE WOULDN'T GO BACK DOWN AT ALL, AND MY SPEEDOMETER WAS "PEGGED" PAST THE TOP END OF 110MPH. I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE, AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON AND CHRONIC ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL.

THE GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING! I JUST PUT 50.00 DOLLARS IN MY GAS TANK AND DROVE 12 MILES TO GET MY THREE GRANDCHILDREN. WE WERE ON THE FREEWAY GOING 64 MILES PER HR IN THE FAST LANE. I HAD TO IMMEDIATELY GET OVER THREE LANES TO GET OFF THE FREEWAY BUT ONLY MADE IT TO THE SLOW LANE. I HAD TO CALL 911 BECAUSE IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I ALMOST GOT HIT EIGHT TIMES WAITING FOR THE STATE TROOPER TO GET TO ME SO HE COULD PUSH US OUT OF HARMS WAY WITH HIS PATROL CAR. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WASN'T A RECALL! THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

ERRATIC FUEL GAUGE. FLUCTUATES CONSTANTLY BETWEEN FULL AND EMPTY. THIS OCCURS WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR AT A STOP. WHETHER THE TANK IS FULL OR PARTIAL DOES NOT MATTER. CANNOT RELY ON GAS GAUGE ANY LONGER. COULD CAUSE A STALL WHILE IN MOTION WHICH WOULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS MATTER ALL OVER THE INTERNET. A RECALL SHOULD BE PUT IN PLACE. BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the driver's side power master window switch had failed and failed to roll up the windows. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had caused a significant amount of water to leak into the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and the failure was inked to NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V248000 (Electrical System, Visibility); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 214,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

MY MASTER WINDOW SWITCH CAUGHT FIRE ON 9/27/14. I WOKE UP THAT MORNING TO FIND THAT MY WINDOW DID NOT WORK WHILE DRIVING MY DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL. THEN ALL OF SUDDEN THERE WAS A SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING ON MY SIDE OF THE CAR. I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE CAR AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE DOOR PANEL. I TOOK OUT THE SWITCH AND IT WAS BURNED. IT ALSO BURNED SOME OF THE MATERIAL INSIDE OF THE DOOR. THEN ALL OF SUDDEN WHILE I WAS SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE WINDOW STARTED GOING UP AND DOWN RANDOMLY WITH THE SMOKE COMING OUT OF IT. I TOOK IT MY FATHERS HOUSE WHERE HE DISCONNECTED THE MODULE. THE WINDOW WAS HALF DOWN. IT WAS 45 DEGREES THAT MORNING . I PAID SOMEONE TO PUT THE WINDOW BACK UP WITH A PRICE OF $150 DUE TO EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER AND HAVING A 2 YEAR OLD. I WENT TO CREW CHEVEROLET TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED WHEN THEY SAID THAT ALL 2005-2007 MASTER DOOR SWITCH WAS ON RECALL DUE TO ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT MAY CAUSE THE SWITCH TO CATCH FIRE. WHEN THEY LOOKED UP MY VIN THEY TOLD ME THAT MY TRUCK WAS NOT COVERED. MY VEHICLE IS A 2007 AND IM NOT SURE WHY MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED. IF THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE, THEN I BELIEVE I SHOULD GET A NEW PART DUE TO A MANUFACTURING ERROR. THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY $405 FOR THE PART AND PROGRAMMING BUT COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT MY MOTOR FOR MY WINDOW WAS NOT DAMAGED AS WELL. I CONTACTED GM MYSELF AND THEY SAID THERE IS A RECALL ON 2005-2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER BUT MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. I HAD THE RECALL FOR THE DOOR WINDOW MASTER CONTROL TAKEN CARE OF ABOUT 9 MONTHS- 1 YEAR AGO. TODAY, THE WINDOW OR DOOR LOCK DID NOT WORK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO TRY THE POWER MIRROR ADJUST, THE WINDOW WENT DOWN AND SMOKE CAME FROM THE DOOR PANEL. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS PRETTY MUCH TOUGH LUCK BECAUSE THEY ALREADY TOOK CARE OF THE RECALL. I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD TAKE IT TO A GM DEALER TO HAVE IT FIXED BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. REALLY? I'M GUESSING THE MODULE WAS BAD AND CORRODED WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR THE RECALL. THE RECALL STATES THAT IF THE WINDOW WORKS, SEAL THE PROBLEM AREA AND SEND THEM ON THEIR WAY. AT THE TIME OF THE RECALL, THE WINDOW AND OTHER COMPONENTS DID WORK BUT NOW THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM IS SHOWING UP. I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO WATCH RECALL WORK BEING DONE BUT OBVIOUSLY THIS PROBLEM RESULTED FROM LIQUID LEAKING IN AT ONE TIME AND CAUSING DAMAGE. IT JUST TOOK FOR TODAY TO SHOW UP AND CAUSE A PROBLEM. MY INTERIOR STINKS OF BURNT PLASTIC. MY WINDOW IS PARTIALLY DOWN AND CAN NOT BE ADJUSTED. I'VE READ ONLINE FORUMS CONSISTING OF THE SAME SYMPTOMS THAT I EXPERIENCED TODAY WITH MY TRAILBLAZER. IF THIS WAS JUST A RANDOM PROBLEM OR SOMETHING CAUSED FROM MY USE OR NEGLIGENCE, I WOULD MAN UP AND TAKE CARE OF THIS ON MY OWN... BUT IT'S NOT. GM USED A BAND AID TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND SOMEBODY WILL END UP GETTING HURT OR BURNED YET. I HAVE A PROSTHETIC LEG AND WHAT IF THE DOOR LOCKS WERE LOCKED SHUT AND THE THING STARTED ON FIRE? GM LISTENED AS I [XXX] ABOUT IT BUT DIDN'T HAVE MUCH TO OFFER FOR A SOLUTION. I WILL TAKE IT TO A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER FOR THEIR "DIAGNOSIS" ON A FAULTY SWITCH AND WORKMANSHIP. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO HEAR WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN WHAT HAPPENED TODAY AND THE STENCH IN MY VEHICLE. SERVICE AIRBAG light came on last week. Took vehicle to dealership to fix. Parts are discontinued so airbag cannot be fixed per Ferman Chevrolet dealership. Also told me that airbag will not work if in an accident.

AROUND 2019, I NOTICED THAT EACH TIME I STARTED MY TRAILBLAZER, THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT WILL FLASH FOR A MINUTE, THEN GOES OFF, THEN COMES RIGHT BACK ON AND STAYS ON. THERE HAVE BEEN SOME DAYS WHEN IT ONLY FLASHED THEN WENT OFF, BUT AFTER ABOUT A FEW MONTHS, THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT REMAINS ON. HAVE TAKING IT TO THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP TO GET A DIAGNOSIS. HIT A POT HOLE IN MY TRAILBLAZER AS AND MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, I BELIEVE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT THEY DEPLOYED WITHOUT AN IMPACT OF ANY KIND, BODY PANELS ARE ALL FINE AND IN GOOD SHAPE BUT THE BUMP JARD THE AIRBAG SENSOR ENOUGH THAT IT DEPLOYED THEM. THIS IN MY EYES IS A HUGE PROBLEM AND COULD BE A BIG RISK FOR SOMEONE BECAUSE THE AIRBAGS ARE MALFUNCTIONING.

SERVICE AIR BAG WITH WOULD PERIODICALLY COME ON AND GO OFF DEPENDING ON SPEED AND TURING THE STEERING WHEEL. IT FINALLY STAYED ON FOR GOOD. WAS TOLD BY ONE DEALERSHIP THAT IT WAS A LOOSE CONNECTION AND THAT IT WAS STILL SAFE TO DRIVE. DROVE IT LIKE THAT FOR A WHILE AND FINALLY HAD A CHANCE TO TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP. SAID THERE WAS A FAULTY PIECE IN THE STEERING COLUMN AND THAT IF I HAD BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT HAVE DEPLOYED.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2007. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN MODIFIED, OR THE COMPUTER PCM HAS NEVER BEEN REFLASHED. RECENTLY I TRIED TO GET MY VEHICLE INSPECTED IN NEW YORK STATE AND FOUND THAT BECAUSE THE OBD SYSTEM WAS UPDATED WITH A NEW SOFTWARE ON THE INSPECTION SYSTEM IN NEW YORK STATE, MY VEHICLE IS UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE INSPECTION COMPUTER. NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES HAS NO RESOLUTION ALTHOUGH THE INSPECTIONS ARE DONE FOR THEM. OPUS THE STATE COMPUTER MONITOR, STATES THAT THEY HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE INSPECTION SYSTEM. HOWEVER DURING MY QUEST TO FIND A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT SOME OF THE VEHICLES HAVE A PROBLEM CONNECTING TO THE NEW SOFTWARE UPDATED JUST A YEAR AGO. I BELIEVE THAT IF CONSUMERS WAIT LONG PERIODS OF TIME WITHOUT PROPER INSPECTIONS IN NYS THESE VEHICLES WILL BE DRIVEN WITHOUT THE PROPER INSPECTION. I HAVE FURTHER BEEN TOLD BY A CHEVROLET DEALER THAT THESE VEHICLES ARE NOW STARTING TO SURFACE AS A RESULT OF THE YEARLY INSPECTION IN NYS. MANY MORE A SURE TO COME OUT IN THE FOLLOWING MONTHS.

DEALERSHIP IS NOT ABLE TO FIND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE TURN SIGNAL TO ONLY WORK WHEN IT WANTS TO. THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL, CRUISE CONTROL AND WIPERS WORK FINE. FUEL GAUGE READ FULL TANK WHEN IN FACT THE TANK WAS EMPTY. I RAN OUT OF GAS IN MY DRIVEWAY. WHEN THIS OCCURRED MY ON DASH COMPUTER WENT CRAZY LIGHTING UP THEN TURNING OFF, WHEN I PUT GAS IN THE CAR AND RESTARTED SEVERAL TIMES THE COMPUTER SEEMED TO CORRECT ITSELF. FILLING THE TANK THE GAUGE READ EMPTY AND REMAINED THAT WAY FOR SEVERAL DAYS. THE GAUGE OPERATES INTERMITTENTLY. I RECENTLY HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED AFTER FAILURE. THE PUMP WAS REPLACED PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT. I HAVE SCHEDULED THE GAUGE REPAIR WITH MY DEALER.

INACCURATE FUEL LEVEL READING. IN NOVEMBER, MY FUEL GAUGE AND DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER BEGAN TO SPONTANEOUSLY READ ERRATICALLY AND WOULD NOT ACCURATELY SHOW ME HOW MUCH GAS I HAD. CONDITION HAS RAPIDLY PROGRESSED TO WHERE THE FUEL GAUGE ALMOST CONSTANTLY READS EMPTY, LOW FUEL LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED AND FUEL LEVEL LOW IS DISPLAYED IN THE DIC. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, I FOUND SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 10054B WHICH STATES IT IS A PREMATURE WEARING OF THE FUEL SENSOR AND I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A MAILED NOTICE FROM GM REGARDING THIS KNOWN ISSUE. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY SUCH NOTICE. THERE ARE NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH MY VIN AND MY WARRANTY HAS NOW EXPIRED SO THERE WILL NOT BE "VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY" FOR THE DEALER TO CONFIRM THROUGH THE "APPLICABLE WARRANTIES SECTION IN THE GLOBAL WARRANTY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM." THIS ISSUE IS BIGGER THAN PUBLICLY ACKNOWLEDGED BY GM AND NEEDS TO BE A FULL RECALL, NOT A 50/50 SHARED RESPONSIBILITY WITH THE CUSTOMER WHEN GM ACKNOWLEDGES THE ISSUE IS DUE TO A FAULTY PART THAT PREMATURELY WEARS AND CAUSES THE MALFUNCTION. WHILE PICKING MY CHILDREN UP FROM SCHOOL ON 11/15/2012 I SMELLED BURNING PLASTIC, THEN I LOOKED DOWN AT THE DRIVE DOOR IT WAS SMOKING REALLY BAD. I PUT THE CAR AND PARK AND OPENED THE DOOR, A POLICE OFFICER WAS NEAR AS I WAS IN THE SCHOOL ZONE HE SAW THE SMOKE COMING FROM MY CAR AND ASK ME WAS I OKAY. HE TURNED THE CAR OFF UNSURE IF A FIRE WAS STARTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR THE SMOKE STOPPED, BUT MY MAIN POWER WINDOW AND DOOR WAS NOT WORKING ANYMORE. 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VALVE STEM CAPS AND TIRE PRESSURE *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING, AN ICON ON THE DASHBOARD LIT UP AND INDICATED LOW TIRE PRESSURE. THE CONSUMER STOPPED TO A GAS STATION TO CHECK THE AIR, BUT WAS UNABLE TO UNSCREW THE VALVE STEM. WHEN THE CONSUMER ARRIVED HOME, HE HAD TO USE A SMALL BOX WRENCH IN ORDER TO GET A BETTER GRIP ON THE CAP. IT TURNED A LITTLE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE VALVE CAP BROKE OFF THE TIRE. THE TIRE THEN DEFLATED AND THE CONSUMER WAS FORCED TO PUT ON THE SPARE TIRE. HE WAS UNABLE TO SCREW THE VALVE CAP BACK ON THE STEM. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THE VALVE STEM CAP WAS CORRODED DUE TO THE SALT USED ON THE ROADS IN THE NORTHERN PART OF WISCONSIN. AT 7:55 A.M. ON THE MORNING OF 12/10/09 IN ST. PAUL, MN, I WENT OUT TO MY 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER (APPROX. 18,000 MILES) AND OPENED THE REAR HATCH (THE ENTIRE DOOR, NOT JUST THE DOOR GLASS) TO REMOVE A SNOW BRUSH. THE TEMPERATURE WAS -5F AND THE WINDCHILL WAS REPORTED AT -20F. AFTER REMOVING THE BRUSH, I BEGAN TO CLOSE THE HATCH WHEN I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE GLASS BREAKING. AS THE HATCH LATCHED CLOSED, I NOTICED BROKEN GLASS EVERYWHERE AND THE TWO WINDOW STRUTS WERE BROKEN AWAY FROM THE GLASS. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE ENTIRE BACK WINDOW WAS BROKEN. IT WAS "SPIDER-WEBBED" AND PIECES OF GLASS WERE SLOWLY SEPARATING ON THEIR OWN. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED TO THIS VEHICLE. LATER THAT DAY, I TOOK THE CAR TO A NEARBY CHEVROLET DEALER. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE DAMAGE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN WINDOW STRUT RODS LOCK UP IN AN EXTENDED POSITION. THEY SAID THAT IF THEY LOCK, IT'S LIKELY TO OCCUR IN THE COLLAPSED POSITION. BUT ONE OF THE MECHANICS TOLD ME THAT HE HAS SEEN INCIDENTS WHERE THE STRUT RODS LOCKED UP IN THE EXTENDED POSITION, BUT HE SAID IT WOULDN'T HAVE CAUSED THE GLASS TO BREAK. I ASKED WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM AND NOBODY HAD AN ANSWER FOR ME. I HAD THE GLASS AND STRUTS REPLACED FOR APPROXIMATELY $1,100. IN LOOKING ON THE INTERNET, I FOUND SEVERAL TESTIMONIALS BY PEOPLE WHO HAD VERY SIMILAR INCIDENTS HAPPEN TO THEM (I.E REAR HATCH GLASS SHATTERING) INVOLVING GMC ENVOYS, CHEVY TAHOES AND CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS. SO WHILE THIS MAY BE A RARE INCIDENT, IT'S CERTAINLY NOT A ONE-OF-A-KIND INCIDENT. SO HOW MANY MORE TIMES CAN I EXPECT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ME IF CHEVY IS SAYING IT'S NOT A DESIGN FLAW AND THEY ARE NOT AT FAULT? I TOOK MY SUV TO DEALER HAD IT CHECKED OUT IT SAID THAT THE SELT BELT PRETENSIONERS NEED TO BE REPLACED THAT THEY CONNECT TO AIRBAGS. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed the contact that they did not provide frame repair. The vehicle was taken to several mechanics who diagnosed that the subframe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

My headlights turn off bybthemselves while driving, other times they wont turn off at all after car is turned off even while in park, and other times they turn on while switched to off position randomly in the middle of te night resulting in a dead battery come morning. My driver window no longer works as well as driver power locks. Happening since 2020 random at first now permentant removal of fuse switch in order to shut off lights and the fuse switch is hot to the touch upon removal.

THIS ISSUE OCCURRED ABOUT 6-7 TIMES THROUGHOUT MY 15 MILE TRIP. MY TRAVEL WAS ON A HIGHWAY AND SPEEDS WERE BETWEEN 55-68 M.P.H. AT THE ONSET OF EACH OCCURRENCE. I WOULD HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD (NOT A MAJOR ONE ' JUST A BUMP) AND THEN THE 'STABILITRAK ACTIVE' LIGHT WOULD BE ILLUMINATED IN THE DASH CONTINUOUSLY BLINKING LIKE IT'S STUCK. THEN: -THE TRUCK WOULD BECOME SLUGGISH DROPPING SPEED AND KNOCKING OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL -YOU CAN'T ACCELERATE -THE STEERING LOCKS UP SORT OF CAUSING IT TO FEEL LIKE THE TRUCK IS OUT OF CONTROL, THIS OCCURRING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS -THE AMOUNT OF POWER USED BY STABILITRAK WAS IMMENSE ' THE HEADLIGHTS BEGAN TO DIM THE LONGER IT WAS STUCK IN THIS STATE -IF YOU TRY BRAKING DURING THESE SPELLS IT HAS THE ANTI-LOCK ACTIVE SO YOU'RE JUST GRINDING AWAY LIKE YOU'RE IN A SKID BUT NOT STOPPING (AND THIS IS ON DRY PAVEMENT!) -- THIS OCCURRED ONE TIME WHILE I WAS ON AN EXIT RAMP AND AND I WAS UNABLE TO SLOW THANKFULLY I HAD TAKEN THE RAMP A LITTLE SLOWER TO BEGIN WITH OR I COULD HAVE BEEN IN MAJOR TROUBLE IN THE CURVE THEN SUDDENLY AS QUICK AS IT ALL STARTED IT RELEASES ' THE LIGHT SHUTS OFF AND ALL RETURNS TO NORMAL.

WHEN THIS STARTED, THE ENGINE WOULD SHUT DOWN EVERY TIME THE LIGHTS CAME ON.AT FIRST IT WAS AT INTERVALS OF 40 TO 140 MILES. WHENEVER THE ENGINE FIRST STARTED THIS, YOU COULD SHUT THE IGNITION OFF FOR 1-2 MIN. , THEN THE VEHICLE COULD BE STARTED AND DRIVEN UNTIL THE LIGHTS CAME ON. DOTSON CHEVROLET, IN BIG SONNE GAP, VA. ( WHERE WE BOUGHT VEHICLE), HAS HAD THE VEHICLE OFF AND ON FOR 6 WEEKS. THEY HAVE CHANGED THE SENDING UNIT IN THE FUEL TANK, AND THE PCM MODULE ON THE ENGINE SO FAR. AS OF TODAY, 10-19-09 THE VEHICLE IS NOW SHUTTING DOWN AT 8-10 MILES. THEY SAY THEY ARE STILL CHECKING , BUT NOW THEY ARE THINKING THE PROBLEM MAY BE IN THE WIRING. SO FAR, WE HAVE LUCKILY BEEN DRIVING IN LIGHT TRAFFIC, WHERE WE WERE ABLE TO GET OUT TRAFFIC TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. (2) TWO LIGHT CAME ON CONTROL PANEL AND THE VEHICLE WENT OUT OF CONTROL. SHE HAD EXTREME DIFFICULTY REGAINING CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND BRAKING. AFTER TURNING OFF THE IGNITION AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE AND THE LIGHTS WENT OFF. ON HER RETURN TRIP HOME IT AGAIN DID THE SAME THING, HOWEVER, SHE ONLY DROVE ABOUT 40 MPH UNTIL SHE COULD GET HOME. MY FUEL GAUGE IS STARTING TO FLUCTUATE. AS I WAS GETTING INTO THE VEHICLE ABOUT A MONTH AGO, THE PART FOR THE SEAT CONTROLS ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE SEAT JUST BUSTED OFF. EVERYTIME IT GETS COLDER OUT, THE STABILITRAK SYSTEM WON'T STAY ON. THE INITIAL ISSUES NOTICEABLY STARTED UPON MY ARRIVE IN SOUTH CAROLINA, BUT IT WAS NOT SOMETHING THAT IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED BEFORE MY RELOCATION, BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING I DID MYSELF. I CAME OUT TO MY CAR ON SATURDAY, 6/16/12. MY CAR WINDOW WAS DOWN AND SOME ITEMS WERE STOLEN. I DID NOT SEE ANY GLASS ON THE GROUND SO I THOUGHT I LEFT THE WINDOW DOWN MYSELF AND SOMEONE JUST STOLEN ITEMS. AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE COMPLEX SECURITY AND REPORTING THE INCIDENT TO HOA, I CAME OUT THE TRUCK AGAIN IT SMELLED OF WIRES BURNING AND THE WINDOW WAS DOWN AGAIN. SEVERAL DAYS LATER THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WAS ON AND TOOK THE TRUCK TO GET THE WHEELS BALANCED AND OIL CHANGE AT FIRESTONE. THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OUT, NOR DID THE ENGINE AND OIL LIGHT GO OUT. A FEW MONTHS AFTER THAT THE SMELL OF WIRES BURNING HAPPENED AGAIN AND THE ENGINE REMAINED ON FOR OVER 2 WEEKS, THEN WENT OFF. IN THE LATE FALL THERE WAS A REALLY BAD THUNDERSTORM AND WHEN ARRIVED TO TRUCK AFTER WORK; RUNNING IN RAIN, I SAW THAT MY WINDOW WAS DOWN AND I COULD NOT GET THE WINDOW BACK UP FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. I WAS SOAKED AND SO WAS THE CAR. THE TRUCK RECEIVED AN OIL CHANGE RECENTLY AND ALL THE LIGHTS WOULD NOT GO OUT AND THE WALMART MECHANIC WHO DID THE OIL CHANGE STATED THAT HE SMELLED GAS AND SOME WIRES BURNING, LIGHTS ON PANEL WOULD NOT GO OUT. SMELL OF WIRES BURNING. ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR DAYS-THEN GOES OFF BY ITSELF. ALL LIGHTS EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON PANEL INTERMITTENTLY ON (OIL/TRACTION/TIRE PRESSURE). THE FUEL GAUGE LEVEL INDICATOR JUST WENT FROM "FULL" TO "EMPTY", IT JUST WENT THAT FAST. MINUTES BEFORE IT HAD JUST BEEN FILLED AT THE GAS STATION. WHEN STARTING, THE GAUGE RISES THEN FALLS TO EMPTY. ON OCCASIONS THE WARNING MESSAGE, "PLEASE TIGHTEN GAS CAP" COMES ON. NOW MONTHS LATER, SAME PROBLEM; AFTER CONTACTING "GM" HOTLINE, THEY STILL HAVE NOT SHOWN ANY CONCERN. I KEEP TRACK OF MILES DRIVEN SINCE LAST FILL-UP AND GAS USED, SO I KNOW WHEN IT IS TIME TO FILL-UP. I HAVE READ MANY SAME COMPLAINTS, AND I WONDER WHY "GM" HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. IT IS NOW 08/21/2012 AND PROBLEM IS STILL ONGOING. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP. PLEASE. WE WERE ON VACATION AND WE WERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE AND WE TRIED TO UNLOCK DOORS TO ENTER VEHICLE AND ALL DOORS EXCEPT THE DRIVER DOOR UNLOCKED. A PASSENGER LEANED OVER TO UNLOCK THE DRIVER DOOR AND HIT THE DRIVER WINDOW DOWN SWITCH. THE KEY WAS NOT IN THE IGNITION. A BURNING SMELL WAS NOTICED AND THE DRIVER DOOR WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR THE EVENING, TURNED OFF, NO KEY IN IGNITION, AND UNATTENDED. DRIVER DOOR MODULE WORKED FINE THE PREVIOUS DAY. THE NEXT MORNING, NO PARTS OF THE MODULE WORKED. THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER BEGAN FLUCTUATING FROM PROPER FUEL LEVEL READING TO EMPTY AT AROUND 74,000 MILES. AFTER FEW WEEKS OF THIS, THE FUEL GAUGE NOW CONSISTENTLY READS EMPTY AFTER DRIVING 115 - 120 MILES ON A FULL TANK, WHICH INDICATES A FAILURE OF THE FUEL SENSING UNIT. FILLED MY TANK AND DROVE AWAY THE MORNING OF THE INCIDENT. WHILE DRIVING LATER THAT DAY MY FUEL GAUGE STARTED GOING DOWN WHILE DRIVING. IT WENT TO EMPTY THE LOW GAS INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND IT STAYED THAT WAY FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE RETURNING TO FULL. THIS ONLY HAPPENED 1X SO FAR RECENTLY. I've had the brakes replaced because I thought they were an issue I was having with my ABS. But my car will randomly lock its brakes as I'm driving, no matter what speed. I'm scared to drive it. It also almost loses all power after breaking but then speeds up on its own making it almost impossible to slow down or brake.

I CAN SMELL AS IF SOMETHING BURNING, ON DIFFERENT OCCASION.THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD RANDOMLY SHUT OFF, WHILE DRIVING. I WOULD SWITCH TO HIGH BEAM IN ORDER TO SEE. THE BACK HATCH WINDOW, LOCKS WHEN IT WANTS TO. THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHTS COME ON AND STAY ON AWHILE. THE VEHICLE WILL STALL AND THEN ACCELERATE AT TIMES. THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHTS, DOES NOT COME ON WHEN PRESSURE IS LOW. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, AND STAY ON AWHILE, AND THEN GOES OFF, AND COMES BACK ON. THE CLIMATE CONTROL HEATER SYSTEM BLOWS COLD AIR. AT ONE TIME THE KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION. HAD TO CONTINUE TO GIGGLE THE KEY TO GET IT OUT OF IGNITION. I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 TRAILBLAZER HOME AFTER A 150 MILE TRIP TO COLUMBUS AND NOTICED OIL SPOTS ON MY DRIVEWAY. I MOVED AND PARKED THE VEHICLE IN ANOTHER LOCATION WHERE A LARGE PUDDLE OF "OIL." FELL UNDER THE ENGINE. I CLIMBED UNDERNEATH AND SAW TRANSMISSION FLUID DRIPPING FROM THE FRAME ONTO THE GROUND. I CALLED GRAHAM CHEVROLET AND WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE AS IT WOULD CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION RESULTING IN A COSTLY REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. I CALLED AAA AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED ON A FLATBED TRUCK TO GRAHAM CHEVROLET WHERE THEY REPLACED THE CORRODED AND LEAKING TRANSMISSION LINES WITH A BILL OF OVER $500.00 FOR THE WORK DONE. THEY SAID GM KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM AND IT IS COMMON TO THESES VEHICLES, BUT NO RECALL OR WARRANTY REPAIR WAS AUTHORIZED. IT WAS THE CUSTOMERS PROBLEM TO TAKE CARE OF. I HAVE SINCE FOUND OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND ALSO DID AN INTERNET SEARCH SHOWING MANY TRAILBLAZERS WITH THIS PROBLEM. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED AND BUILT WITH A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION COOLER LINE MATERIAL SUBJECT TO CORROSION AND FAILURE OVER TIME. I HAD GONE TO A FRIENDS HOUSE AND ON THE WAY HOME MY POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND WAS TOLD THE POWER STEERING COOLER HAD RUSTED THROUGH. I ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THIS PART ON MY 2003 TRAILBLAZER NOT REALIZING THERE WAS A PROBLEM. IF THIS PART RUSTS OUT ON DIFFERENT YEARS OF THE SAME MODEL THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE BECAME VERY HARD TO STEER. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I AND MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION LINES GASOLINE LINES AND POWER STEERING LINES. I HAD TO REPLACE THE GASOLINE LINE AND FUEL PUMP ON THE 2003 , AND JUST REPLACED TRANSMISSION LINE ON THE 2007. I THINK THERE NEEDS TO BE AN ENGINEERING CHANGE ON THESE VEHICLES. I ALSO RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON THE 2007 TRAILBLAZER FOR THE ELECTRIC WINDOW SWITCH. THE NOTICE SAID I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN TO BRING MY VEHICLE IN. VEHICLE WAS PARKED WITH ALL DOORS LOCKED AND THE VEHICLE NOT RUNNING. THE REMOTE UNLOCK BUTTON WAS ENGAGED AND ALL DOORS UNLOCKED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DRIVER DOOR. THE REMOTE UNLOCK WAS ENGAGED 3 TO 4 MORE TIMES. THE DOOR WAS MANUALLY UNLOCKED FROM PASSENGER'S SIDE. WHEN THE DOOR WAS OPENED, SMOKE WAS POURING OUT OF THE INSIDE. WE POURED AVAILABLE LIQUIDS DOWN THE WINDOW SLOT BUT SMOKE WAS STILL POURING OUT. WHILE MY SPOUSE WENT INSIDE THE BUSINESS WHERE WE WERE PARKED TO GRAB A PITCHER OF WATER, I JERKED THE PLASTIC OVAL PIECE AROUND THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE OFF AND SAW FLAMES. HE RETURNED WITH THE PITCHER AND WE POURED THE WATER DOWN THE OPEN HOLE AT THE DOOR HANDLE AND FINALLY MANAGED TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES. WE DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME BUT NONE OF THE DOOR FUNCTIONS WORKED AT ALL. IT IS GOING TO COST ME APPROXIMATELY $600 TO FIX THIS ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN AFRAID TO DRIVE MY TRAILBLAZER SINCE THAT TIME. ALSO THE FUEL GAUGE QUIT WORKING ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. WE FINALLY FIXED THAT ISSUE TODAY. THE TRAILBLAZER DIED WHEN MY WIFE AND CHILDREN WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN SHE STARTED IT BACK THE MOTOR WAS MAKING A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE. SHE PULLED IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND HAD IT TOWED INTO A GARAGE. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT THE ENGINE WAS SHOT. I LEFT MY HOUSE FOR WORK AT APPROXIMATELY 0650 HRS ON FEBRUARY 19TH, 2012. UPON EXITING MY NEIGHBORHOOD'S ENTRANCE, I ACCELERATED TO 35 MPH. ABOUT 100 YARDS DOWN THE ROAD, I BEGIN TO SMELL BURNING PLASTIC AND AS I LOOKED DOWN I OBSERVED THICK SMOKE BILLOWING FROM THE OPENINGS OF MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR PANEL. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO EXCEPT STOP THE VEHICLE AND SHUT IT OFF. EVEN WHEN OFF, THE SMOKE CONTINUED TO BILLOW UNTIL I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS LATE TO WORK, SO I RECONNECTED THE BATTERY IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE MY WAY TO WORK IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. WHEN I STARTED MY CAR, THE DOME LIGHTS WOULD NOT TURN OFF, THE GAS GAUGE WAS INOPERABLE AND THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOWS/LOCKS WERE RENDERED INOPERATIVE. AS I PULLED INTO WORK, I GLANCED OVER AND SAW THE SMOKE EMITTING FROM THE DOOR PANEL AGAIN, BUT IT WAS NOT AS THICK AS THE FIRST TIME. THANKFULLY, MY COWORKERS WERE STANDING BY READY TO ASSIST ME AS IT HAD BEGUN TO RAIN. THIS EVENT COULD HAVE ENDED MUCH WORSE IF THE DOOR PANEL HAD ACTUALLY CAUGHT FIRE. I HAVE A NEWBORN SON WHO IS APPROXIMATELY 5 WEEKS OLD AND THE TRAILBLAZER IS OUR MAIN SOURCE OF TRANSPORT. I HAVE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH MY 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS CAR. THE TRANSMISSION MESSED UP ORIGINALLY AND NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY GAS GAUGE INDICATOR. CHEVY VEHICLES HAVE HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR TPMS (TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM) ON ALL VEHICLE TYPES. THE FAILURE OCCURS AT THE WHEEL ITSELF. ALTHOUGH THIS IS A SAFETY DEVICE, IT HAS TURNED INTO A USELESS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT WHICH NO OWNER CAN AFFORD TO KEEP UP WITH . WHAT HAPPENS IS THAT THE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM AT THE WHEEL IS VERY SENSITIVE AND FAILS QUICKLY. THE AMOUNT OF REPAIR FOR ONE UNIT COSTS APPROXIMATELY $200, AND THAT IS FOR ONE WHEEL. CHEVY SHOULD BE DOING A RECALL ON ALL VEHICLES, THAT HAVE THE TPMS SYSTEM. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT UNIQUE TO ONE VEHICLE, IF YOU DO A GOOGLE SEARCH ON TPMS AND CHEVY OR GM YOU'LL FIND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. AFTER I HAD THE FIRST ONE REPLACED THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT I SHOULDN'T BOTHER BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY FAIL AGAIN. THE DEALER ALSO SAID THAT HE WISHES THAT CHEVY WOULD INSTALL A BETTER SYSTEM, BECAUSE IT WILL ADVISE YOU THAT YOUR TPMS IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, AND AFTER IT FAILS, DRIVERS WILL IGNORE THE MESSAGE, WHICH IS A LARGER SAFETY ISSUE. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE DOT WOULD ALLOW GM TO CONTINUE TO USE FAULTY PARTS WHICH IS A SAFETY RELATED ITEM. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD A NUMBER OF ELECTRICAL AND /OR COMPUTER PROBLEMS. THE FIRST SET OF TIRES ON THE VEHICLE WERE WORN OUT BECAUSE THE COMPUTER WOULD SAY THEY HAD LOW PRESSURE, SO WE WOULD FILL THEM AND CHECK THEM WITH THE ONBOARD TIRE PRESSURE, OTHERWISE IT WOULD CONTINUE TO SAY THE TIRES WERE LOW. THE GAS GAUGE GOES FROM FULL TO EMPTY AND BACK AT LEAST 10 TIMES A DAY, THEY SAY AT THE SERVICE DEPT IT'S THE FUEL SENDING SWITCH. SERVICE STABILITRAC WARNING COMES ON AT VARIOUS TIMES. I THINK ALL WARNINGS (LIGHTS AND THROUGH THE COMPUTER SCREEN) HAVE COME ON AT LEAST ONE TIME, SOME WE HAD TO STOP THE CAR AND LOOK UP WHAT THE LIGHT WAS IN THE BOOK. NOW THE IGNITION SWITCH HAS SOMETHING WRONG, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL NOT LOCK WHEN THE CAR IS SHUT OFF AND THE KEY IS REMOVED. THEN THE CAR WON'T START UNLESS YOU WORK THE KEY AND THE SWITCH. I PURCHASED A USED 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 15K IN JUNE 2008 FORM BOB BELL CHEVROLET EASTERN AVE. BALTIMORE, MD. THIS VEHICLE WAS ADVERTISED AND ASSURED TO BE A GM CERTIFIED VEHICLE WHICH WAS RECONDITIONED AND 117 POINT INSPECTED UNDER GM CERTIFIED USED PROGRAM. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THIS VEHICLE UNDERWENT THIS INSPECTION AS THE DEALER REPRESENTED BECAUSE A WEEK AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I HAD BRAKE FAILURE AND TRACTION CONTROL MALFUNCTION THAT THE DEALER REPAIRED AND ASSURED ME THAT I WOULD HAVE NO FURTHER PROBLEMS, ON TOP OF THAT, THE OIL WASN'T CHANGED OR AIR FILTER WHICH WAS AS BLACK AS THE STREET WHEN IT WAS CHANGED OUT. THIS IS A TRAILBLAZER SUPER SPORT EQUIPPED WITH THE 395 HP 400 FT LB ENGINE. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER. I HAVE SUED GM FOR THIS BEING A LEMON AND WAS PAID OFF. YET NO FIX. PRIOR TO THIS IT WAS TURNING SLOWER AND COMPRESSION BRAKING. TIME HERE IS 0 OF THE 11 SECONDS. I HIT THE BRAKES AT 14 MPH TO PULL THE SPEED DOWN FROM 2K RPM AND LET OFF AT 9MPH 3 SECONDS LATER. STARTING AT 1381 RPM FOR THE LOWEST ENGINE RPM, TRANS INPUT SHAFT 50 RPM SLOWER THEN THE ENGINE INDICATING ACCELERATION. AC CLUTCH JUST HAPPENS TO KICK IN HERE. "HERE WE GO!" I SAY. THE NEXT 8 SECONDS WE HAVE THE ENGINE HITS 1650 RPM AND HUNTS AROUND THIS RPM +- 75 RPM WHILE WE HIT 11 MPH. AT 8.4 SECONDS THE ENGINE CUTS BACK TO 1468 RPM. THIS IS WHEN THE TRANS INPUT SPEED IS FASTER THAN THE ENGINE RPM BY AROUND 50 - 70 RPM, THIS INDICATES ENGINE FINALLY SLOWING THE VEHICLE AGAIN. IT ONLY TAKES 5 SECONDS FROM THIS POINT TO SLOW DOWN FROM 11 MPH TO 5MPH WITHOUT ANY BRAKES. THAT IS WHAT IS SCARY - 16 SECONDS OF FIGHTING THE ENGINE WHEN IT COULD HAVE STAYED CUT OUT AND SLOWED DOWN IN LESS THAN 5 SECONDS FROM 2K RPM. WHILE OPERATING MY 2007, CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER , I NOTICE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEANING ON THE RIGHT SIDE ,I STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND AFTER CHECKING THE TIRES I FOUND NO FLATS ,AND NO AIR MISSING, AS I DROVE AWAY I BEGAN TO FEEL A WOBBLE IN THE FRONT TIRES , WHICH LED ME TO MEYER CHEVROLET , WHERE HE FOUND THAT THE SHOCK ABSORBERS WHERE STILL GOOD SEVERAL WEEKS LATER THE LEANING AND THE WOBBLE CONTINUED AND I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC WHERE HE FOUND THAT ALL THE SHOCKS WHERE LEAKING AND HAD WORN OUT AT 33000, MILES , BEFORE REPLACING THE SHOCKS I CALLED GENERAL MOTORS TO SEE IF THEY CAN SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH ANOTHER DEALER WHICH THEY STATED THAT I SHOULD RETURN IT TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED IT FROM . I THEN RETURNED THE VEHICLE AGAIN TO MEYER CHEVROLET WHERE AGAIN I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WHERE GOOD AND NOT BAD , I CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND THE TIRES WHERE SO BAD THAT I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO MY MECHANIC FOR AN INSPECTION OF THE FRONT END WHICH HE FOUND THAT THE FOUR SHOCKS WHERE BAD THE TIRES , AND THE ALIGNMENT WHERE BAD , I THEN CALLED CHEVROLET TO ASK FOR THERE ASSISTANCE IN THE COSTLY REPAIRS AND THEY STATED THAT BECAUSE I HAD MY REPAIRS DONE ELSEWHERE THEY COULD NOT HELP , SO 1400 DOLLARS LATER MY CAR IS RUNNING GOOD AGAIN LETS SEE HOW LONG BEFORE SOMETHING ELSE GOES WRONG . LAST YEAR WHILE DRIVING TO VIRGINIA BEACH , I STOPPED TO REFUEL AND WHEN I GOT IN THE CAR AGAIN THE GAUGE HAD STOPPED WORKING , THE LITTLE YELLOW LIGHT CAME ON AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF GIVING ME FALSE GAS READINGS THAT THE TANK WAS EMPTY , WHEN I ARRIVED IN VIRGINIA BEACH I CALLED THE DEALERS FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND NO ONE WOULD REPAIR IT THEY SAID TAKE IT BACK TO NEW YORK CITY FOR REPAIRS . I THEN PLACED A CALL TO ON-STAR AND THEY SAID UNLESS YOU GET STUCK YOU WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE IT BACK TO NEW YORK FOR REPAIRS , WE WILL SEND YOU A TOW TRUCK AT THAT POINT AND LEFT ME WITH A CAR THAT I DIDN'T KNOW WHETHER THERE WAS GAS INSIDE OR NOT . TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THERE WAS A LOW POWER RESPONSE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. IMMEDIATELY, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNEXPECTEDLY. THE TRACTION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND REMAINED LIT UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE THROTTLE BODY FREEZING. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED AGAIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35,950. VEHICLE IS A 2007 CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER, PURCHASED IN JULY OF 2007. OVER THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS, THE DRIVER'S SIDE POWER SWITCHES ON THE DOOR WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON FRIDAY EVENING AT AROUND 6:30 PM AND WHEN CAR WAS ENTERED ON SATURDAY MORNING AT APPROXIMATELY 9:30 AM, THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WAS ON FIRE AND BLACK SMOKE WAS BILLOWING OUT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING 10-15 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP WHEN HE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE. AS A RESULT, HE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE HOWEVER; THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES AFTER THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE THE CONTACT STATED THAT MULTIPLE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL CYLINDER, IGNITION COIL, AND A DEFECTIVE HEAD CYLINDER CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE DEALER MADE THE REPAIRS HOWEVER APPROXIMATELY 24 HOURS LATER THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THEY STATED THAT THE ENGINE WAS LOW ON COOLANT AND THEY STATED THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE BURPED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 42,994.

I HAVE A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS. WE BOUGHT IT WITH 13 MILES ON IT WHEN THE FIRST FULL TANK OF GAS WAS GONE WE ONLY PUT ON 235 MILES TO THE TANK. THAT WASN'T EVEN A WEEK. WE HAVE HAD 2 TIRES REPLACED BECAUSE OF EXCESS WEAR WITH ONLY 6,000 MILES ON IT. NOW WE ARE WORKING ON THE 2 OTHER TIRES GETTING REPLACED BECAUSE OF THE SAME THING. THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME TO COME OUT. WE HEAR A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT RIGHT TIRE AND AT THE SAME TIME WE FEEL IT IN THE PEDALS. THE SEALS ON THE WINDOWS ARE COMING OFF. THERE IS NO DRIVERS SIDE COVER ON THE MIRROR ON THE SUN SHADE. THERE IS NO DOOR AJAR DING OR LIGHT THAT WILL COME ON WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR ONLY JUST FOR THE HATCH. I HAVE HAD MY TRAILBLAZER IN FOR SERVICE 3 TIMES IN 1 YEAR FOR ALL THE SAME THINGS AND EVERYTIME THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT EXCEPT FOR THE TIRES. WITH THE GAS MILEAGE MY DEALERSHIP SAID I HAVE TO WAIT 10,000 MILES BEFORE I GET A BETTER AVERAGE ON THE MILES PER GALLON. WELL IT IS ACTUALLY I AM GETTING LESS AND LESS MILES PER GALLON THAN I DID A YEAR AGO. THE TRAILBLAZER IS VERY SLOW AT PICKING UP SPEED. IT HESITATES AT THE START OF PICK UP SPEED LIKE THE TRUCK JUST STALLED. I FEEL IT IN THE PEDAL. THE BRAKES HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN IT COMES TO STOPPING ITS LIKE THE BRAKES DON'T WANT TO STOP THE TRUCK. THESE PROBLEMS ARE MAKING ME VERY UPSET. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO 2 DEALERSHIPS AND BOTH TIMES THEY SAY OH THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK. I NEED THESE PROBLEMS FIXED. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED WITH 83 MILES. FIRSTLY, THE BUMPER IS WAVY RATHER THAN HORIZONTAL. HE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR, HOWEVER, THE NEW BUMPER CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO VEER TO THE SIDE. SECONDLY, AFTER THE TIRES WERE ROTATED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN SHAKING BADLY. THIRDLY, THE ONSTAR SYSTEM BEGAN MAKING NOISE AND WOULD NOT DEACTIVATE. FINALLY, THE RUBBER SEAL ON THE WINDSHIELD BEGAN SEPARATING AND WAS REPLACED. THE DEALER REFUSES TO TAKE THE CONTACT SERIOUSLY. THE ENGINE SIZE WAS UNKNOWN. 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH MULTIPLE ISSUES. CUSTOMER STATES THAT HER VEHICLE HAS BRAKE PROBLEMS, FRONT END VIBRATION PROBLEMS, TIRE WEAR, AND EXCESSIVE FUEL CONSUMPTION. *KB THE BRAKES MADE A SQUEALING AND DRAGGING NOISE WHEN COMING TO A STOP. IT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE THE LIFTGATE, THE ENGINE WOULD MISFIRE/STALL WHILE IN IDLE, THERE WAS A SMELL OF OIL BURNING, THE VEHICLE WAS SLOW TO GAIN SPEED, THERE WAS EXTREME NOISE COMING FROM ALL OF THE DOORS AND WINDOWS. THE SETTINGS FOR THE SIDE MIRRORS DID NOT KEEP THEIR MEMORY. THE REAR HATCH WOULD OPEN WHILE DRIVING. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A VIBRATION COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE.
