The vehicle was taken to three different independent mechanics and on all three occasions, it was diagnosed that the timing chain failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000.

MY MECHANIC REPLACED MY A/C REFRIGERANT HOSE DUE TO A LEAK AND MY A/C CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR. HE SAID THAT HE HAS REPLACED THE SAME PARTS ON A NUMBER OF OTHER VEHICLES SIMILAR TO MY 2012 CHEVY TRAVERSE. HE SAID THE DAMAGE TO THE A/C REFRIGERANT HOSE WAS DUE TO A BAD DESIGN WHERE A BRACKET IS LOCATED TOO CLOSE TO THE A/C REFRIGERANT HOSE.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON HAD THE CODES CHECKED AND I HAD THE ENGINE TAKEN APART TWICE BECAUSE THE TIMING CHAIN HAD JUMPED CAUSING IT TO RUN ROUGH AND LIGHT CAME BACK HAD TO DO AGAIN AND IT WAS FINE FOR A FEW MONTHS BUT MECHANIC SAID THE ENGINE IS THE SAME AS THE ENCLAVE AND ACADIA WHICH BOTH HAVE HAD RECALLS ON THIS ISSUE. THIS HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME WHILE CAR WAS IN MOTION.

I WAS DRIVING 65 MILES PER HOUR DOWN THE FREEWAY. OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT FLASHED, HEARD KNOCKING IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT, WARNING SHUT OFF MOMENTARILY, THEN, OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT APPEARED AGAIN, ALONG WITH KNOCKING IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. AT THAT POINT THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN ON ITS OWN, AND I HAD TO PULL OFF THE ROAD IMMEDIATELY, TO AVOID A COLLISION. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP, OR THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS A SKIPPED TIMING CHAIN AND I WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE MOTOR. TOTAL COST ESTIMATED AT $8,800

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the power steering assist failed and the vehicle became difficult to steer. The contact stated that the power steering pump was leaking. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with the power steering pump and the rack and pinion needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 127,305.

Power steering intermittently fails at low speed we have had near collisions and as a result my wife cannot drive the car she’s not strong enough to turn the wheel at low speeds I’m afraid somebody’s gonna get in a wreck with this or another car like it I’ve heard other complaints from traverse owners about the same thing

THE RACK AND PINION SEALS ARE LEAKING BADLY. THE COST TO TEPAIR IS VERY EXPENSIVE. MY MECHANIC SAYS IT SHOULD BE A RECALL.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. A HIGH PITCHED SQUEALING NOISE CAME FROM UNDER THE HOOD WHEN TURNING. THE POWER STEERING PUMP HAD THE PROPER AMOUNT OF FLUID AND THE THE NOISE GOT LOUDER. THE RACK AND PINION HAD TOTAL FAILURE WHILE TRAVELING AT 55 MILES PER HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY AT AROUND 70,000 MILES. WE HAD THE PUMP REPLACED ONCE BEFORE AT AROUND 40,000 MILES. ON THE 2ND REPLACEMENT, THE DEALER CHANGED THE PUMP NUMBER TO THE 'UPGRADED PART' THEY ALSO SAID, 'GM KNOWS ABOUT THE FAULTY PUMPS AND ARE REPLACING THEM WITH THIS NEWER PART.' THE DEALER REPORTED TO US THAT THE PUMP NEEDED REPLACED BECAUSE IF IT WASN'T, THE PUMP WOULD GO OUT DUE TO THE DAMAGE IT SUSTAINED. SO, WE DID THAT WITH THE RECOMMENDATION FROM GM AS WELL IN A PHONE CALL.

After sliding into a ditch, my drivers side, curtain airbag deployed but, instead of covering the drivers side door window, it came out and went across my face, hitting me on the right side of my head, slamming my head into the drivers side window glass and pinning me between the airbag and the window glass, obviously putting my safety at risk. I am currently being treated for neck injuries as a result of this airbag malfunction. The problem has not been reproduced/confirmed by dealer/independent service center. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. Photos of the vehicle including the airbags have been sent to my insurance company (Allstate). There were no warnings or symptoms of the problem prior to the collision and no other vehicles were involved. Upon visual inspection, both the driver and passenger side curtain airbags are twisted around itself 4 or 5 times at the anchor point, located at the front of the door frame. The vehicle is currently in our shop at our residence.

Airbags failed to deploy on drivers side and in the front after an impact of 35 MPH. My daughter and myself got severely hurt due to this malfunction. yes it has been inspected. no there were never any indicators for the airbags ever in the four years I have owned the car.

"SERVICE AIR BAG" MESSAGE AND WARNING LIGHT ARE CONSTANTLY BEING DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS PARKED OR IN MOTION. THE PROBLEM STARTED AFTER GETTING OIL CHANGE AT THE DEALER. DEALER NOW WANTS $100 JUST TO DIAGNOSE.

THE SERVICE STABILITRAK WARNING COMES ACROSS THE DASH AND THE POWERS MOTOR DOWN TO HALF POWER. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES NOW THE FIRST TIME I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70 AND WAS LUCKY TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. HAD THE MOTOR REPLACED BECAUSE THE MECHANIC SAU IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE TIMING. NOW IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN, THIS TIME I WAS IN TOWN LUCKILY ON A STREET THAT WASNT TOO BUSY. THIS IS NOT ONLY BECOMING COSTLY TO REPAIR BUT EXTREMELY UNSAFE WHEN IT POWERS DOWN TO HALF POWER AND YOU CAN NOT GET ABOVE 20MPH. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A FAMILY VEHICLE THERE ARE CHILDREN RIDING IN THESE CARS.

We got sold a car without a catalytic converter. We’ve been talking to the dealership responsible, and they literally admitted over the phone that they sold us the car without it on “accident” which still makes it an illegal sale. They offered us half of what they owe due to this and we’ve had enough and want to take this further. As you can clearly see in the photo the flanges of the old catalytic converter were cut out and they welded in a straight pipe and it even has holes in it already. This is a huge problem. Also, I read that it’s a 25,000$ fine for a dealership selling a car in this condition and id like if that was enforced in this situation because they’ve done similar to others in the past. + our money back rightfully so…

THE HATCH DOOR SLAMMED DOWN WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHEN I WAS UNLOADING GROCERY. AFTER THAT HAPPENED THE HATCH DOOR WILL NOT GO UP ALL THE WAY, BUT ASCENDS HALF WAY AN GOES BACK DOWN. I HAVE A VIDEO ON MY PHONE. BEFORE THIS INCIDENT, WE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE HATCH GOING UP BUT COMING RIGHT BACK DOWN WITHOUT WARNING.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POPPED UP IN THE MORNING AND TWO HOURS LATER THE CAR WAS IDLING AND STARTED TO SHAKE WHILE IDLING. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT TURNED ON AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED TO FLASH AND THE MESSAGE CENTER SAID SERVICE THE STABILITRAK AND THEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. VEHICLE IS REGISTERED IN MONTANA, ONE OF THE STATES LISTED IN RECALL #12V151000, RE: WINDSHIELD WIPERS BECOMING INOPERABLE IN COLD WEATHER. CHECK SHOWS MY VEHICLE IS NOT SUBJECT TO THIS RECALL, BUT MY PROBLEM MATCHES IT EXACTLY. CONDITIONS, -12DEG AND LIGHT SNOW. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IDLING ABOUT 10 MIN WITH DEFROSTER ON. I BRUSHED OFF WINDSHIELD AND CLEARED COME ICE THAT HAD COLLECTED ON THE WIPER BLADES AND AT THE BASE OF THE WIPER ARMS. WHEN I GOT IN THE VEHICLE AND TURNED ON THE WIPERS, THE ARMS WOULD NOT MOVE. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED 6 MONTHS AGO, SO I DON'T KNOW IF THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. I BELIEVE THE ONLY PRIOR OWNER WAS ALSO IN MONTANA.

ESTIMATE GIVEN OF $3400 AT A CERTIFIED CHEVY DEALERSHIP. NOTIFIED GM CUSTOMER CARE AFTER BACK AND FORTH E-MAILS NOTIFIED ME THEY WOULDN'T DO ANY COST ASSISTANCE AS WARRANTY IS UP.

I NOTICED THE LAST FEW DAYS THE ENGINE OF MY 2012 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE WAS SLOW TO START. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY, BUT IT WAS STILL HOLDING A GOOD CHARGE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON. I WAS DRIVING IT AT 35 MPH ON A RURAL ROAD WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. FIRST TIME IT EVER HAPPENED. I STARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS SLOW TO START. WHEN IT DID, I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE IT AND IT WOULD SHUT OFF AGAIN IMMEDIATELY. HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN A ROW. EVERY ELECTRICAL COMPONENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL WORKING. I LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AGAIN. I THEN DROVE IT TO A PARKING SPOT ABOUT 30 YDS AWAY. WHILE DOING SOME RESEARCH, I FOUND THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH GMC / CHEVY WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH, YET NO RECALL.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 55MPH MY VEHICLE SEEMED TO SUDDENLY DRIVE ROUGH AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO LOSE CONTROL OR A BLOWN TIRE OR SOMETHING. I LOST POWER AND MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN ON ITS OWN. THINGS BEGAN TO LIGHT UP ON MY DASH ABOUT THE STABILITRAK SYSTEM NEEDING SERVICING. THIS WAS TERRIFYING SINCE CARS WERE FLYING BY ME AND I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE EVEN ON LOCAL ROADS AT SLOWER SPEEDS SUCH AS 30MPH. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL FOR THIS? THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS AND FAMILIES ARE IN THESE VEHICLES INCLUDING MINE. I AM ALSO GETTING A CHECK ENGINE CODE FOR TIMING. MY VEHICLE IS JUST AT 70K MILES AND I USE IT AS A DAILY DRIVER TO/FROM WORK AND PRIMARILY JUST IN MY TOWN. FURTHEST I DRIVE IS 20 MINUTES DOWN THE HIGHWAY TO A RELATIVE AND BACK. WHILE DRIVING, TRACTION CONTROL AUTOMATICALLY WENT OFF, THEN AUTOMATICALLY WENT BACK ON. HAPPENED AS I WAS EXITING A PARKING LOT ONTO A BUSY ROAD. WENT OFF AGAIN, THEN IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TURN, CAR SUDDENLY DECELERATED AND I WAS BARELY ABLE TO MAKE IT INTO THE NEXT PARKING LOT. GRADUALLY RAMPED UP TO ABOUT 20 MPH. TRACTION CONTROL AUTOMATICALLY CAME "ON" BUT SO DID THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. LET THE CAR SIT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND IT WOULD DRIVE (BUT I DID NOT GET OVER 40 MPH OR FURTHER THAN AROUND THE BLOCK). THERE WERE MORE THAN A FEW OCCASIONS WERE I AM DRIVING AND MY CAR WILL INSTANTLY SLOW DOWN AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND SOMETHING SAYING TRACTION CONTROL. I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THAT MEANS BUT WHEN I TOOK IT TO MY DEALERSHIP THE LIGHTS HAD WENT OFF AND THEY JUST LOOKED AT ME, SAYING THAT THEY CAN'T FIX SOMETHING THAT'S NOT THERE. THE FIRST TIME I WAS IN A RESTAURANT DRIVE THRU BUT SITTING IDLE. THEN SEVERAL CODES FLASHED ON MY DASH ABOUT TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILITRAK AND LIMP MODE AND IT STARTED TO STINK. WE TOWED IT TO OUR MECHANIC AND HE COULD NOT TELL WHAT CODE WAS CAUSING THE ISSUE SO HE CLEARED THE CODES AND IT RAN FINE AFTER THAT. AFTER A COUPLE ADDITIONAL TRIPS TO THE MECHANIC, WE DID HAVE A COUPLE ISSUES SEEMINGLY RELATED AND HE ENDED UP REPLACING A COIL AND ALL THE SPARK PLUGS. NOW, A FEW MONTHS LATER, MY WIFE WAS DRIVING UP THE ROAD TO OUR HOUSE AND JUST BEFORE TURNING INTO OUR DRIVEWAY, THE SAME ERROR MESSAGES CAME UP ON THE DASH. SHE TURNED OFF THE CAR AND CALLED ME. WHEN I GOT HOME I STARTED THE CAR AND GOT THE SAME RESULTS. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO OUR MECHANIC AGAIN. THIS TIME WHEN THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED, THE CAR DID NOT START. I got in the car to put the seatbelt on and it just snapped at the floor, the lap belt cable which runs down to the left of the drivers seat. That braided cable just snapped. Shoulder harness still works, but no lap belt.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.

2012 chevy traverse. Feb 20 2020. Milage 127691 My valve cover gaskets failed causing the cabin to fill with smoke. Sept 11 2020 right front axel seal failed causing ptu to lose all the transfer case fluid and bearings. Transfer case replaced. Feb 22 2021 milage 141464 transmission slipping had new one installed. Jan 5 2022 milage 153350 had timing chains replaced. Check engine light came on. Back on june 29 2012 Chevrolet issued a bulletin No. 11340B special coverage adjustment timing chain wear. It is for 2007-2009 traverse acadia outlook enclave equipped with the same 3.6L Engine as my 2012 and other years. they extended warranty coverage for 10 years 120k miles. seeing this problem existed in 07-09 models this should be looked at and to include other years as well. I am a member of 2 facebook traverse groups and there are a lot of others with the same issue. The owners manual says to change engine oil every 5000 miles I have done that. Please look into adding additional years to this recall. Timing chains should not fail stretch or need replacing as much as I have seen others needing to. A vehicle should go well over 200k miles before needing replacing.

I looked up 2012 Chevy Traverse recalls and 4 things came up. I was very happy to see that because I have all 4 problems recalled. So the next day I called Chevy to schedule the work. They informed me my car has no recalls. I told them I knew it did I looked it up and there are 4 in total. Then I said luckily for me it is recalled because I am experiencing exactly the same issues with same effects from the issues that was posted with the recall. Then the lady explained to me that you recalled 2012 chevy traverse on 4 items yes but none included my model. That is absolutely INSANE because my car is doing all the same things that was considered too dangerous to continue in all the other trims the car was made in but for some reason I'll never understand my trim was excluded.... Plz fix this the LS trim needs all the same recalls. I have every one of the 4 issues and I've been all over the 2012 LS Traverse forum to see I'm far from alone here.

AT THE SAME TIME, WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE. ALSO, THE CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER YOU'RE DRIVING 5 MILES AN HOUR OR 55+ MILES PER HOUR. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT OCCURS EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE CAR. I HAVE NOTICED THAT IF THE TEMPERATURE IS UNDER 40 DEGREES, IT HAPPENS MORE TIMES THAN WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS GREATER THAN 40 DEGREES. MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO THE STORE WITH OUR TWO KIDS JUST TO GRAB SOME GROCERIES. WE LIVE LESS THAN 5 MILES FROM THE GROCERY STORE. ON OUR WAY HOME THE CAR STARTED SHAKING WHILE IDLING AND ACTED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL OUT ON US. WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WHEN THE CAR DECIDED TO START SPUTTERING, SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND THEN SHUT OFF. THANKFULLY ENOUGH WE WERE ABLE TO PULL INTO A PARKING LOT TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS THE CAR FINALLY STARTED BACK UP. WE WERE NOT ABLE TO GO ABOVE 20 MPH. WE FOUND OUT THAT THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT SO WE SPENT THE $300 TO REPLACE THAT. ONCE THAT WAS REPLACED WE THOUGHT WE WERE IN THE CLEAR. ABOUT TWO DAYS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN EXCEPT I WAS ON THE EXPRESSWAY DOING ABOUT 70-80 MPH. SAME THING, WAS ABLE TO START IT UP AGAIN AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, COULDN'T GO ABOVE 40 MPH THIS TIME. ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO WE STARTED HAVING P0017, P0018, P0019 TROUBLE CODES POP UP. WE TRIED TO REPLACE THE SENSORS AND THEY WERE STILL POPPING UP. WE CLEARED THEM, ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES LATER THEY WOULD POP BACK UP AGAIN. THURSDAY THE CAR WAS WORKING FINE. IT WAS RUNNING GREAT, NO SHAKING, WASN'T ACTING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL OUT. THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON BUT WE ARE NOW TO THE POINT THAT THERE IS SOME SORT OF ELECTRICAL ISSUE GOING ON. THIS IS OUR ONLY VEHICLE, AND WE HAVE TWO KIDS AND JOBS TO GET TO. WE ARE TIRED OF PUTTING MONEY INTO THIS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT. MY PARENTS OWNED THIS CAR BEFORE WE DID. WE ARE THE SECOND OWNERS. I FIND IT PRETTY CONVENIENT THAT EVERYTHING STARTS TO GO DOWNHILL AFTER WARRANTY DATES ARE UP OR AFTER YOU HIT A CERTAIN MILEAGE. AND WITH THE STRIKE THAT JUST HAPPENED, GM ISN'T WANTING TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FEAR OF LOSING MONEY YET AGAIN. ISSUE A RECALL OR YOU WILL END UP WITH LAWSUITS. I AM ON MY 3RD ENGINE SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE. SINCE DAY 1 I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILITRAC. RANDOMLY SERVICE LIGHTS COME ON FOR THOSE AS WELL AS REDUCED ENGINE POWER WHILE DRIVING. THE ENGINE HAS LOCKED UP ON ME TWICE. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE CAR IDLES OR I'M STOPPED AT A LIGHT MY SERVICE LIGHTS COME ON. MY TRANSMISSION IS NOW AN ISSUE. I HAVE SPENT OVER 15K ON REPAIRS FOR A VEHICLE I BOUGHT FOR 17K..I WAS LIED TO WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BEING TOLD I WAS THE 2ND OWNER INSTEAD OF THE 5TH. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG HAS A CODE. THE AC DOESN'T WORK, THE HEAT WOULD BLOW ALL THE TIME EVEN IF OFF AND ON COOL, NOW THE BLOWER DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. THE WINDOWS DON'T OPEN.

IN DECEMBER OF 2018 I TOOK MY CAR TO DIANE SAUER IN WARREN OHIO BECAUSE THE STABILIZER TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR WAS DRIVING VERY ROUGH. I TOOK IT TO DIANE SAUER AND SERVICE MANAGER KEITH SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORT. I TOOK MY CAR BACK IN JANUARY 2019 WITH SAME PROBLEM BUT WORSE. SO BAD I GOT OFF THE BY-PASS AND HAD IT TOWED. DIANE SAUER HAD MY CAR FOR TWO WEEKS AND NEVER CALLED ABOUT THE CAR. I HAD TO REPEATEDLY CALL THEM. AFTER TWO WEEKS THEY SAY THE ENGINE WAS GONE. KEITH TOLD GM IT WAS DUE TO LACK OF MAINTENANCE. I PROVIDED GM AND DIANE SAUER WITH ALL RECEIPTS OF MY OIL CHANGE. I BOUGHT THAT CAR FROM DIANE SAUER BRAND NEW!!! I TOOK CARE OF THE CAR AND AFTER SEVEN YEARS THEY SAY THE ENGINE IS GONE!!!! NO WAY!!! I TOOK GREAT CARE OF THAT CAR!!! DIANE SAUER NEEDS TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!!! THE MIDDLE SEATBELTS IN THE MIDDLE AND BACK ROW LOCK UP AND WILL NOT RELEASE. FIRST IN THE SECOND ROW, THE MIDDLE SEATBELT LOCKS UP WHEN THE SEAT GETS FOLDED DOWN. THE SEATBELT WILL THEN NOT RELEASE. SOMETIMES YOU CAN PULL IT OUT AND LET IT GO BACK A FEW TIMES AND IT WILL EVENTUALLY COME OUT, BUT NOT EVERY TIME. THE MIDDLE SEATBELT IN THE THIRD ROW SEAT BECAME WRAPPED AROUND MY CHILD'S NECK AND WOULD NOT RELEASE. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND THE BELT WAS LOCKED SO TIGHT AROUND HIS NECK THAT I COULD NOT MANEUVER IT TO GET IT OFF OF HIS NECK. I WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO GET HIM TO BEND HIS NECK FAR ENOUGH TO GET IT OUR FROM BEHIND HIM, BUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC IF HE DID NOT OR WAS NOT ABLE TO NOTIFY ME WHEN IT HAPPENED. THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING. PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON.

OVER THE PAST COUPLE YEARS THE VEHICLE "CHECK AIR BAG" LIGHT HAS COME ON MULTIPLE TIMES AND A WARNING INDICATOR ON THE DASH INDICATING SOMEONE HAS NOT BUCKLED THEIR SEAT BELT. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 5 OR SIX TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. MOST RECENT REPAIR ATTEMPT WAS 1/4/16 AND I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR 2/1/16. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THE SERVICE MANAGER, CUSTOMER RELATIONS REP AND MOST RECENTLY CORPORATE (CASE# 8-1796822227). WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW BUT HAVE NOT FELT SAFE IN IT SINCE THIS FIRST STARTED HAPPENING. WE TRY TO MINIMISE USE BUT HAVE 5 GRAND CHILDREN THAT WE REGULARLY HAUL AROUND. WE DON'T REALLY RECALL WHEN THE PROBLEM FIRST STARTED. AGAIN WE DO NOT FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS SAFE AND BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE REPORTED AND LOOKED INTO.

THE SERVICE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT REMINDER LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY IS COMING ON ON DRIVER DASHBOARD. HAPPENS WITH PASSENGER IS IN THE FRONT SEAT. THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER WERE BOTH BUCKED UP. TOOK IT TO A SERVICE CENTER AND THERE ARE NO CODES STORED. SYSTEM IS CHECKING OUT WITH PASS WHEN IT IS CHECKED. THERE ARE NO FAIL INDICATORS. The air conditioning stopped working after working amazing, Traction Control Disabled light keeps coming on, The RPM's would rev up seems like it gets stuck then drops to normal. stabilitrak messages with the ABS warning light lit up, Power steering (or power control) goes limp (at the worse times pulling out in traffic) It’s on issue after the other. Once I get one fixed another goes, then we’re back to the first one that was replaced that is now not working again. I still have a car payment so I’m without my car more than I’m driving it. I have to save up to get it fixed, and I won’t drive it until I know for sure it’s good. I was almost killed way to many times in it so to all the issues that GM knows about.

WE WERE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH TWO SMALL INFANTS IN THE CAR GOING 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND RAPIDLY LOST SPEED, CAUSING US TO SWERVE INTO THE DITCH AND OTHER CARS BEHIND US SLAMMING ON THEIR BRAKES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, AND STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT WENT ON. ENGINE WAS RUNNING ROUGH AND NEEDED TO BE SHUT OFF AND TURNED BACK ON IN ORDER TO RESTART THE VEHICLE TO NORMAL FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT INTO A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDS A NEW THROTTLE BODY. AFTER CONTACTING GENERAL MOTORS, WE WERE TOLD THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 2012 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE, AND IN SOME CASES AN EXTENDED WARRANTY HAS BEEN GIVEN. WE WERE THEN TOLD THAT OUR VEHICLE DOES NOT FIT THAT DESCRIPTION BECAUSE THE THROTTLE BODY WAS MADE IN A DIFFERENT FACILITY AS THE OTHERS. THIS IS THE EXACT SAME ERROR AS THE KNOWN ISSUE BUT GENERAL MOTORS IS REFUSING TO TAKE ANY ACTION. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECTIFIED IMMEDIATELY IN ORDER TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY.

Traveling at 70 MPH on a highway Traction control/stabilitrac and engine turn on and acceleration stopped, car wont accelerate causing to cars behind me to start swirling around due to my car lost of acceleration, then pulled over to the shoulder thankfully with no accidents, then turn off car and turn on again and car worked normally for about 100 miles and it did it again.

2012 CHEVY TRAVERSE ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COME ON. ENGINE LOSES POWER AND REQUIRES THE VEHICLE TO. E RESTARTED TO REGAIN POWER. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED BY THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES FOR THE SAME REASON. THE DEALERSHIP HAS RESET THE COMPUTER EACH TIME. THE LAST TIME THE DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER THE DEALER HAS STATED LOW FUEL VOLUME. THE TRACTION CONTROL AND ENGINE LIGHT COME ON THE SAME DAY USUALLY WITHIN AN HOUR OR TWO. THE SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD US TO TRY HI TEST ETHANOL FREE GAS. WE DID AS TOLD WITH A FUEL TREATMENT THEY PUT IN THE TANK. THE LIGHTS STILL CAME ON. WHEN THE TRAVERSE IS STARTED IN THE MORNING(COLD START) THE ENGINE RUNS ROUGH. THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 47000 MILES ON IT AND WAS PURCHASED NEW. WE HAVE ALWAY KEPT THE VEHICLE MAINTAINED. LAST YEAR THE TRAVERSE STARTED USING OIL A QUART OR MORE IN 1000 MILES WHEN DRIVEN ON LONG TRIPS.

RECENTLY I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING AT CERTAIN SPEEDS. FIRST AT 40MPH AND THEN MORE RECENTLY AT HIGHER SPEEDS. ALSO TODAY THE STABILTRACK WARNING LIGHT CAME ON STATING THAT IT REQUIRED SERVICE. RPM'S AND SPEEDOMETER ALSO WOULD FLUCTUATE WHILE DRIVING. THERE ARE MANY VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE THAT POINT TO THE THROTTLE BODY HAVING OIL BLOW BY THROUGH THE THROTTLE BODY AS THERE IS NO CHECK VALVE TO KEEP THIS FROM HAPPENING. I WILL BE CLEANING THE THROTTLE BODY TO SEE IF IT FIXES THE PROBLEM. I'VE ALSO SEEN THAT THE BRAKE POSITION SENSOR COULD BE THE CULPRIT AS WELL. I REPLACED THE IGNITION COILS AFTER SEEING THE ENGINE FLUCTUATIONS, BUT DID NOT REPLACE THE SPARKS PLUGS AS THEY WERE RECENTLY REPLACED UNDER 6K MILES AGO. THIS SEEMS TO BE A LONG STANDING AND WIDE DISPERSED ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE. MANY HAVE SEEN THE POWER DROP WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THIS BUG COULD CAUSE THE MASS DAMAGE OF A TRANSMISSION IF THE VEHICLE WERE TO AUTOMATICALLY DOWNSHIFT WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, ESPECIALLY IF IT WERE TO DROP TO 2ND GEAR FROM 5TH OR 6TH ON AUTOMATIC DRIVE. I WAS DRIVING ON A STATE RD WITH MY TODDLER WHEN UNEXPECTEDLY THE CAR BEGAN TO ABRUPTLY SLOW DOWN. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER CAR THAT SWERVED TO AVOID HITTING ME. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH A MESSAGE ENGINE POWER REDUCED, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, STABILITRACK NEEDS SERVICING. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE AND WITH CARS FLYING BY IT WAS TERRYING TRYING TO PULL OFF SAFELY. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT INCREASE IN SPEED WHEN I PRESS DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR. AFTER PULLING OFF I IMMEDIATELY TURNED THE ENGINE OFF WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND TRIED TO START THE ENGINE AGAIN BUT RECEIVED THE SAME MESSAGES. WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN GEAR IT STRUGGLED TO MOVE. I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AGAIN AND THEN WAITED 10 MINUTES. UPON RESTARTING THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON BUT NO OTHER MESSAGES WERE DISPLAYED. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE HOME AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 3/30/17. WHEN I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS NO LONGER ON. THE SERVICE ADVISORS CALLED A FEW DAYS LATER AND STATED THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THEY ONLY NOTED THAT THE ENGINE MOUNT NEEDED REPLACEMENT AND THIS COULD POSSIBLY HAVE CAUSED THE PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY SO I PAID BELIEVING THIS WOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE. UNFORTUNATELY IT HAPPENED AGAIN DRIVING ON A CITY RD AND I WAS NEARLY STRUCK FROM BEHIND AGAIN AND STRUGGLED TO SAFELY GET OFF THE ROAD. THIS TIME MY HUSBAND AND 2 OTHER CHILDREN WERE IN THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES OF THE SAME DASH NOTIFICATIONS AND AFTER GETTING IT STARTED I DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP ON 3/17/18. I SHOWED THEM THE PICS AND WAS ADAMANT I WOULD NOT GET IN THE CAR AGAIN UNLESS IT WAS FIXED. THEY ASSURED ME IT WOULD BE FIXED THIS TIME. A FEW DAYS LATER THEY STATED THE FUEL PUMP FUEL LINES AND FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. AFTER MY SECOND EXPERIENCE I FOUND SEVERAL SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.

ALSO, DOOR LOCKS BEGAN LOCKING AND UNLOCKING ON THEIR OWN. ONCE WE GOT TO A SAFE SPOT MESSAGES ON THE DISPLAY BEGAN FLASHING, SERVICE STABILTRAK; SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL; PARK ASSIST OFF; TRACTION CONTROL ON; TRACTION CONTROL OFF. TOWED THIS CAR TO THE DEALER FOR AN EXORCISM SINCE IT WAS NO LONGER DRIVEABLE. FIRST THING THEY DID WAS REPLACE THE BATTERY. AS THEY TELL IT A BAD / FUNKY BATTERY MIGHT CAUSE BAD THINGS TO THE ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION MODULE. $400 LATER ISSUES PERSIST. NOW I AM TOLD I NEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION OUTRIGHT - $5500. FIRST INCIDENT I WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, WHEN I GOT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, SERVICE STABILE TRACK, AND THE CRUISE KICKED OFF, THE VEHICLE SLOWED AND STARTED TO CHUG. I PULLED OVER, SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. CHECKED THE OIL ETC, AND RESTARTED, IT SEEMED FINE. A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER, I WAS AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN IT DID THE SAME THING, EXCEPT THIS TIME THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. I HAVE HAD THREE MORE OCCURANCES WITH THIS AND THEY SEEM TO BE GETTING CLOSER TOGETHER. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS AS IT IS A REAL CAUSE FOR CONCERN. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD GOING 45 MILES AN HOUR WHEN THE ENGINE OF THE TRAVERSE JUST SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. I WAS EXTREMELY LUCKY THAT I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A SAFE SPOT BUT THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. I WAS ON A 2 LANE ROAD THAT GETS A LOT OF FAST TRAFFIC AND WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET TO SAFETY.CAR WOULD NOT START UP AGAIN BUT ELECTRICAL WAS STILL ON.TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT LIT UP BRIEFLY A WEEK BEFORE THE INCIDENT. AT THE TIME OF ENGINE SHUT OFF-THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANY INDICATION. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED-SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT NO ONE IS TAKING THESE VEHICLES OFF OF THE ROAD! MAJOR SAFTEY RISK: MY TRAVERSE WAS WELL MAINTAINED WAS OFTEN FILLED WITH SOCCER KIDS. THE SAFETY FAILURE COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY! WHILE DRIVING, THE AUTO BEGAN DISPLAYING THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES IN RAPID SUCCESSION: BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE, SERVICE BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK. I PARKED THE CAR TO DROP OF MY KIDS, THE CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN. AFTER A JUMP, I HEADED FOR THE DEALER WHICH WAS 4 MILES AWAY. OPERATIONS APPEARED OK INITIALLY. ON THE EXPRESSWAY, THE CAR ELECTRONICS WENT OUT. NOT JUST RADIO AND A/C, BUT ALL ELECTRICAL. I REALIZED THAT THE ENGINE WAS NO LONGER RUNNING WHILE IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFICE ON A CHICAGO EXPRESSWAY. NO HAZARDS, NO WAY TO LOWER WINDOWS, I WAS EXTREMELY LUCKY TO FIND A GAP IN THE TRAFFIC TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND PARK. FROM THE SHOULDER OF THE EXPRESSWAY, CARS CONTINUED TO FLY PAST ME AT HIGH SPEED. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY CHAOTIC AND DANGEROUS. I WAITED FOR AAA TO ARRIVE. AAA WAS FORCED TO TOW (MY TRAVERSE IS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE) RATHER THAN FLATBED BECAUSE WITHOUT ELECTRICITY WE THE CAR WAS STUCK IN PARK. AT THE CHEVY DEALER, THEY QUICKLY READ THE ERROR CODES AND PRESENTED ME WITH A $1,400 ESTIMATE TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR. SHARING MY FRUSTRATION AND POINTING OUT THAT THIS TYPE OF CATASTROPHIC FAILURE WAS WELL BEYOND ANY REASONABLE EXPECTATION OF A PRESUMABLY SAFE VEHICLE, THEY FOUND A WAY TO LOWER THE COST TO $607. (I DO RESPECT AND APPRECIATE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP.) THIS CLEARLY SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUE AND CHEVY SHOULD CORRECT THESE ISSUES ON THEIR DIME. I BOUGHT THE TRAVERSE WITH THE EXPECATATION OF SAFETY AND RELIABILITY. I AM NOW VERY SKEPTICAL AND AM HESSITANT TO FILL THIS 8 SEATER WITH KIDS THE WAY I USED TOO. I WAS DRIVING THROUGH A PARKING LOT AND THE STABILLITRACK LIGHT CAME ON, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. THE DRIVER CENTER SAID THE TRACTION CONTROL SHUT OFF AND IT ALSO STATED TO SERVICE STABILLITRACK. THE ENGINE SEEMED TO SLOW ITSELF AS WELL. I PARKED THE VEHICLE AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES. THE WARNING LIGHTS FINALLY WENT OFF ON THEIR OWN AND THE TRACTION CONTROL TURNED BACK ON, ON IT'S OWN. THE CAR SEEMED OK DRIVING HOME FOR 2 MILES AND ENGINE POWER SEEMED TO RETURN TO NORMAL BUT THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME HESITATION IN THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING AT LOW SPEEDS TOO. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THE SOONEST THEY CAN GET ME IN TO CHECK THE CAR IS MONDAY. I ASKED IF IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND THEY WOULD NOT COMMIT TO SAFETY OR RELIABILITY BUT REFUSED PROVIDE ANY RELIEF UNTIL MONDAY AND GAVE ME NO OFFER OF A LOANER CAR. I WAS DRIVING WITH MY CHILDREN WHILE EXITING A HIGHWAY OFF-RAMP, AND OUR CHEVY TRAVERSE SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND I TEMPORARILY LOST POWER STEERING/CONTROL OF THE CAR, HAD NO ACCELERATION, AND ALL INSTRUMENTS WENT WONKY (TURNING ON/OFF, GOING BACK AND FORTH). I WAS FORCED TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY OFF-RAMP ONTO A DANGEROUSLY NARROW SHOULDER WITH MINIMAL ROOM, AND HAD TO COAST THE CAR TO THE END OF THE OFF-RAMP-- AND THEN WAS STUCK AT THE OFF RAMP AT A RED LIGHT IN RUSH-HOUR TRAFFIC. AFTER TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, WE REPLACED THE BATTERY AT THE SUGGESTION OF OUR LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THEN ABOUT 4 MONTHS LATER, THE PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED AGAIN AS I WAS EXITING OUR DRIVEWAY ON MY WAY TO WORK. WE HAD IT TOWED TO OUR LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP, AND AFTER 4 DAYS OF RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS AND TEST DRIVING IT, THEY FINALLY CONCLUDED IT WAS A FAULTY TRANSMISSION MODULE. WE NOW HAVE TO PAY $ 1,700.00 OUT OF POCKET TO REPAIR THE CAR, AS WERE ONE YEAR OVER THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY (BUT ONLY 55K MILES ON THE CAR). AT THE TIME THIS HAPPENED, OUR TRAVERSE ONLY HAD APPROX. 57K MILES ON IT.

"TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR A FEW YEARS AND EVERY YEAR I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AND OR BATTERY. THIS MORNING I WAS DRIVING MY SON TO DAYCARE AND MY SON TO WORK THE CHECK BATTERY SYSTEMS LIGHT CAME ON. I KNOW FROM PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE THAT THE CAR IS ABOUT TO COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. AS EXPECTED A FEW MILES UP THE ROAD THE TRACTION LIGHT, ABS LIGHT AND OTHER LIGHTS APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE CAR SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY, THE HAZARD LIGHTS WILL NOT EVEN TURN ON. AS I STATED BEFORE THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THAT I HAVE AS THIS PROBLEM IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF YEARS. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER TO BE CHECKED BUT THE ARE NOT SURE WHAT TO LOOK FOR DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE IS NOT A RECALL. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THESE CARS ARE BUILT TO HOLD FAMILIES. SOMETIMES IT WILL STALL ONCE AND KEEP GOING... OTHER TIMES IT HAS TAKEN ME 3-4 HOURS TO GET HOME. I'VE HAD A MAJOR TUNE UP DONE, REPLACED THE FULE PUMP, FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR, MAP SENSOR, PURGE VALVE CANISTER, CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY, AND REPLACED RELAYS. IT HAS STALLED ON FREEWAYS, AND MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC LEAVING ME STUCK IN UNSAFE LOCATIONS. SIMILAR MODELS HAVE RECALLS BUT NOT MINE. I PULLED OFF THE FREEWAY AND PULLED OVER AND CHECKED THE BATTERY CABLES. IT WAS WORKING FINE. I GET BACK IN THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME AND THE TRACTION CONTROL STARTED TOGGLING ON AND OFF AND A CHECK AIR BACK MESSAGE CAME UP. JUST THEN I STARTED FEELING LIKE I WAS BEING SHOCKED BY MY DRIVER SEAT!!! SINCE THE DEALERSHIP OR PRIVATEECHAMICS CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT, I HAD A FRIEND GET ME ALL THE INFORMATION ON THIS VEHICLE. THERE IS ZERO RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE BUT I FOUND A RECALL FOR THE WIRE HARNESS UNDER THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS AND ALSO UNDER THE DASH, CALLING TO REPLACE AND SPLICE THOSE WIRES. MY VEHICLE HAS THE YELLOW HARNESS THAT WAS RECALLED BUY THE DEALERSHIP SAYS MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED. IT'S BEEN 2 YEARSSINCE ALL THIS HAS BEGUN AND THAT I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A RELIABLE VEHICLE. (MY EX WHO CO-SIGNED BUT DID NOY PAY FOR IT, REFUSES TO SIGN THE TITLE OVER). JUST SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND BUY NON GM. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO FIX SOMETHING THAT IS SO UNSAFE TO IT'S CUSTOMERS. "TAKATA RECALL" WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME I HAD MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON AND THE TRACTION CONTROL DISENGAGED AND THE SAME TIME. IT ALSO REDUCED ENGINE POWER (IT ALSO SAID IT WAS ON THE DASH BOARD) HOWEVER WITH NO WARNING STARTED TO SLOW TOO QUICKLY WHILE I WAS DRIBING DOWN STREET WHICH SPEED LIMIT IS 50 MPH. AS I HAD ANOTHER VEHICLE BEHIND ME WHO HAD TO SWITCH QUICKLY TO NEXT LANE. ONCE I MADE IT HOME I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND THEIR HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME PROBLEM... WITHOUT ANY WARNING GOT THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES: TRACTION CONTROL OFF, SERVICE STABILITY TRAK,SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CAMSHAFT CORRELATION. I'VE LOOKED ON LINE AND HAVE NOTICED MANY TRAVERSE OWNERS ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WHERE THE CAR SLOWS DOWN TO A HALT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD OR REFUSES TO GO FASTER THAN 25 MILES PER HOUR. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE HAPPENED 10/11/17 ON I-40. MY CAR STARTED "JERKING" AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR DECELERATED TO APPROX 35 MPH. THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. A NTFCN CAME ON THAT ALL OF MY ASSISTS WERE OFF (PARKING, ALL WHEEL DRIVE, TRACTION CONTROL, STABILITRACK). A NTC ALSO APPEARED THAT SAID TO SERVICE STABILITRAK. WHEN I GO TO PRESS MY BRAKE THERE IS A NOISE IN THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT "JUMPS" WHEN I GO TO PRESS IT. WE HAVE TAKEN IT AND HAD IT PUT ON THE COMPUTER BUT NO CODES APPEAR SAYING THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THEY SAY THE SENSORS ARE FINE. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN REAR-ENDED SEVERAL TIMES NOW. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE ONCE WITH OUR KIDS IN THE CAR ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE AIRPORT AND ONCE TO MY WIFE ON HER WAY HOME FROM WORK. BOTH ON THE FREEWAY AT 65+ MPH. DRIVING FINE THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN VIOLENT SHAKING, AND LOSS OF POWER. CANNOT STEER AT 65 MPH THAT IS LITERALLY DEADLY. SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT COMES ON, TRACTION CONTROL OFF LIGHT COMES ON, AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT COMES ON. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND HAD A 6,4,AND 2 YEAR OLD IN THE VEHICLE. THE FACT THAT THIS HASN'T BEEN ADDRESSED AS A RECALL IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. I WENT THROUGH 16 PAGES OF COMPLAINTS ON A CHEVROLET FORUM ABOUT THIS ISSUE. HOW MANY DOES IT TAKE BEFORE THE PROBLEM IS ADDRESSED? DOES SOMEONE NEED TO DIE? THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED TWICE. DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT FREEWAY SPEEDS, A LOUD CLUNK WAS HEARD, THE VEHICLE JERKED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED, CHECK STABILITRAX AND TRACTION CONTROL MESSAGES APPEARED AND STABILITRAX DISABLED, SPEEDOMETER REMAINED FROZEN AT SPEED THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED. WHILE DRIVING TO SAFE LOCATION TO STOP, VEHICLE APPEARED TO BE STUCK IN A SPECIFIC GEAR THAT IS LOWER THAN NORMAL FOR FREEWAY DRIVING, RPMS WERE MUCH HIGHER THAN NORMAL. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STANDSTILL, VEHICLE APPEARS TO HAVE NO POWER (PROBABLY DUE TO ACCELERATING FROM 0 MPH IN A HIGHER GEAR). I TOOK VEHICLE TO BOWMAN CHEVROLET SERVICE CENTER FOR ATTENTION AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE INCIDENT THOUGH THEY DID STATE THAT THEY SEE ERROR CODES IN THE SYSTEM FOR LOSS OF COMMUNICATION. AFTER TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING FOR UP TO 2 WEEKS, SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE ERROR BUT DURING THEIR TESTING THEY FOUND THE BATTERY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ASSISTANT MANAGER OF THE SERVICE CENTER STATES THAT A BATTERY REPLACEMENT MAY OR MAY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I MADE A CASE (#[XXX]) WITH CHEVROLET BUT THE ADVISER RECEIVED INFORMATION FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT WAS FALSE AND STATED THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER HE COULD DO. THE INFORMATION HE RECEIVED FROM THE DEALER IS THAT THEY WERE WAITING FOR ME TO AUTHORIZE CHARGES FOR ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSIS. I DID AUTHORIZE BOWMAN CHEVROLET TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. MY CONCERN IS THAT I AM NOW TAKING BACK A CAR THAT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND ALLOWING MY WIFE TO DRIVE, AND DAUGHTER TO RIDE IN, THIS VEHICLE THAT HAS A KNOWN ISSUE. LUCKILY FOR US THE ISSUE OCCURRED AT NIGHT WHEN THERE WAS NO ONE ON THE ROADS BUT IF IT OCCURRED DURING RUSH HOUR IT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I PULLED OVER, SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF FOR 5-10 MINUTES, AND RESTARTED IT. NO LIGHTS WERE ON, AND I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE HOME. WHILE IN A SLOW SPEED ON A SIDE ROAD, APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING, AND THIS TIME SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. AGAIN THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF AND ON KEPT DISPLAYING ON THE DCIM. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE RANDOMLY ACCELERATES OR DECELERATES THE DOORS WILL UNLOCK THEN LOCK AND UNLOCK AND LOCK, THE WARNING CHIME GOES OFF RAPIDLY AND THE CAR WILL THEN EITHER DECELERATE OR ACCELERATE. IT IS A KNOWN PROPLEM THAT GM MAKES FUEL PUMPS WITH FUEL SENSORS THAT FAIL RANDOMLY AND OFTEN. I KNOW ONE PERSON WHO HAS REPLACED IT FOUR TIMES. OURS HAS FAILED.. THE FUEL GAUGE NOW DOESN'T WORK, AND SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE WILL REJECT FUEL. MY WIFE HAS BEEN STRANDED WITH OUR CHILDREN IN ONE HUNDRED DEGREE WEATHER BECAUSE OF THIS. FINALLY WHEN IT RELEASED I GOT TO THE MAIN ROAD AND WAS DRIVING ABOUT 20-25 MPH MY VEHICLE RADIO STARTED TO SWITCH FROM FM TO CD ON ITS ON AND THEN I COULDN'T ACELLRATE TO A HIGHER SPEED. THE VEHICLE DISPLAY SHOWED SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL TURNED OFF. THERE WAS SOME KIND OF ENGINE LOSS BUT IT STALLED OUT TOO. THIS HAPPENED TWO TIMES NOW! I SEE IT HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE TRAVERSE SINCE 2011 MODELS. THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP DOES NOTHING TO FIX THIS. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR WITH MY FAMILY AND HAVE US GET IN AN ACCIDENT. The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving 80 MPH, the vehicle stopped abruptly. The check engine, traction control, stability control, and air conditioner warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, while driving 75 MPH, the vehicle unintendedly decelerated. The contact was concerned about driving the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who determined the failure was due to the throttle body. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The throttle body was previously replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

When driving the vehicle it will lose power and flash service stabilitrack and low engine mode enabled without warning. This has happened many times since 2016. When the conditions cannot be replicated gm/chevrolet has not been concerned but to refer to dealership. The dealership replaced ECM due to warranty conditions. Issue with emissions and electrical modules continued to cause intermittent power loss. Corrosion was found in the internal fuse box due to poor sun roof drainage emptying into glovebox and onto internal fuse box. GM and Chevrolet describes this as a known issue but insists my VIN is not affected. The issues continued to persist leading to frequent battery replacement that was ultimately due to contamination of electrical components. Fuel system parts were all assumed faulty only to find it was ultimately the fuel control module, another electronic component listed faulty but GM/ Chevrolet assumes my VIN is not affected. This car was purchased to be a family vehicle, but had proven to be an unreliable death trap. The first incident that caused concern was 2/14/2017 on the highway with speeds up to 70mph. Thankfully, that day was full of heavy traffic that did not allow drivers to reach high speeds. If I had been going that fast when the engine lost power I can only imagine what that would have meant for me and my family. I know I am not the only owner of a Chevrolet traverse with these concerning issues. I find it irresponsible for GM/Chevrolet/Buick to mass produce vehicles with these issues and fail to acknowledge the hazard they represent. Knowing they have produced a lemon that cost the sticker price, repair cost, and potentially human lives and failing to remedy the issue astounds me. I urge you to please investigate this concern.

1)The air conditioning unit line has caused a leak. It was determined this line needs to be replaced by an independent service center. This a/c line is located from under the front of the hood all the way to the rear of vehicle. This line constantly rubs and there is friction with other lines/hoses (power steering), and other components under the hood. No rubbing should occur. The rubbing and friction cause holes to form causing not only for it to leak out but also potentially leak on other components under the hood which could cause other issues such as breakdown of the vehicle or fire. It has affected us not only by not providing a/c under extreme heat, but also has caused hissing sounds and for white smoke vapors that has omitted from the vents inside the vehicle. It has also caused us to breathe in the vapors which are toxic. There was cold a/c felt through the vents and we were not aware of any issues until now (7/19/2024). This is a very costly repair, over $1500 and up for the average consumer to pay out. 2)Park assist & sound that are unable to hear & works intermittently. The radio display & speakers work intermittently. The park assist is connected to the speakers. When the speakers and radio/radio display do not work properly; it causes the park assist to not function correctly when backing up. This is a safety issue due to blind spots and areas one cannot see and depending on the park assist to aide them; something can get hit or run over. There is an issue with Engine fuse box wiring & terminals GM knows of. 3)Driver seat belt lap anchor pretentioner. Only special coverage adjustment which states dealers are to inspect & replace. They failed to send out the notice to me. I was told I have to pay the dealership a diagnostic fee to inspect it then fix from there. I shouldn’t have to pay the fee to have it replaced like it states in the documents. Nor worry about safety of seatbelt & components going to fail to protect in the event of a crash.

it is an ongoing daily issue. it has been occurring for over 2 years. The radio display does not work properly. It will show the display and then it won't. This display and speakers are connected via wiring. The speakers all do not work at the same intervals. The park assist function is connected to the speakers. When the radio display works; most of the speakers work and then one can hear the "beep" sounds the park assist makes. And when the speakers and radio display do not work then the park assist does not work. This can put others at risk since the park assist function does not work. A person might hit someone or something due to this issue.

I was driving down the freeway at about 67 MPH when the message "Traction Control Disabled" came on my display & the car immediately went into "limp mode"! By some miracle I was able to muscle the car out of the slow lane, onto the shoulder as I lost my power steering once in limp mode. I waited a few minutes, car started up just fine, so I shrugged it off. Fast forward 1 week later & the same thing happened to me on my way home on a curvy mountain road. The power steering was again non-existent & luckily, there was no one behind me, nor did anyone come around the corner & hit my disabled car. Once again, it started up, no problem; however, this is when the harsh forward thrust started happening, & the transmission seemed to be slipping gears. The RPM's would rev to the 6000 range & immediately fall down to 1500. I took it to the dealer & sadly paid $3,400 for a new tranny on a 5-year-old car. (No warranty, of course). I started having the same issues about 2 years later, only this time the driver was not so lucky as they were mid-curve on the mountain road. Right as the roadway came out of the bend, the car went into limp mode, power steering lost & wheels stuck in a right turn position, car went off the roadway & into a telephone pole, broke that in half due to the angle of the pole in the mountainside & down the steep embankment about 40-50 feet. All airbags deployed & driver was able to walk away (hike away) but the car was a total loss. Driver was traveling 40-45 mph. There was no indication, no warning, just from travel to nothing.

First I already had to rebuild the transmission which is showing the beginning signs of failing again. Then around the same time I started having another issue that I find a lot scarier as the driver. It started giving me severely Reduced engine power, traction control off and stabilitrak messages with the ABS warning light lit up like a Christmas tree. This is by far the most dangerous of any issue I've ever experienced with all of my vehicles I've ever owned. It starts with a huge jump I cant stop or control to a car behind me it seems like I'm really getting on it and speeding up. But in a split second too quick for any human to process what is happening it just drops out big time. It then wont go above roughly 30 mph and the engine is revving very high to even get it to that. All the while it is heavily shuddering and jumping back and forth at a very fast rate and it does this with a high force to it. I have no control over it either. Before I could hit traction control off and it would all stop. However today it did this again for the first time in a long time and man was it 20 times worse than anything I had ever seen before. By the time I decided to turn back and go home (which I wasn't any further than a half mile into my drive to begin with) I made it maybe another quarter block and that is when the bottom fell out. It stopped moving at all at that point. Nothing we did to correct it that had totally controlled it in the past would help for the first time. In the end my husband hooked an o2 sensor to it and reset the codes and now it's back to driving beautifully. The reason I feel this needs recalled is it's a huge danger to myself and anyone else around me. When this starts you have no prior warning what so ever and then bam your all the sudden in a car that is jumping back and forth and its visible to other drivers then its starting like it's going to really go but it malfunctions so fast no one behind you would have time to react to such a sudden drop.

UNKNOWN, I first bought my Chevy Traverse Ltz in April of 2020, and about 2 weeks of driving it, I noticed that all(4)of my wheels/brakes instantly locked up while driving in traffic, almost causing a pile-up collision. The rotors and brakes releases alot of smoke as the wheels scrub and the suv doesn't move forward nor backward. I reported it to the car lot/dealership where i purchased it from and was told to take it to a certain auto shop. I arrived there, just to be told that he doesn't fix those type of problems. The dealership where i bought it from didn't look at it either. So, from that time til now in 2021, I have been dealing with the same exact problems being terrified with my children in the car, not knowing if/when the next time the wheels lock up for no reason, if it will be fatal for me and my children or other drivers. I've contacted GM about it, taken it to Chevy dealership a few times, even a couple of auto shops, and no one seems to know what the problem is. I recently had the transmission serviced to see if that was the issue and turns out, it wasn't. I don't know what to do, I am still financing it and the warranty only covers the transmission and engine, half the cost of the repair and the other half is my responsibility it states. I've been trying to prevent any fatal accidents best I can, sometimes by not driving it at all and having to ride with family members and friends. I was recently told by my warranty company that there is pretty much nothing they can do about it.

I was driving to the store and my car dinged and a message saying something like service stabilitrack flashed. The car slowed and I pulled over and turned off the car. Eventually I turned the car on and it was back to normal speed but then it sputtered like it was out of gas. That was 2 months ago. I've had it in the shop 2 times and my husband has been trying to replace every part suggested by gm and any other mechanic. The car continues to misfire and turn of at times during driving. This feature makes this vehicle completely unsafe. Any vehicle that simply cuts power should not be on the road as it poses unnecessary risk. Please do something.

THE VEHICLE UPON ENTERING WILL SLAM INTO GEAR AND WHEN DRIVING IN RURAL AREAS THE TRANSMISSION EVEN FEELS LIKE IT IS SLIPPING AND THE CAR WILL JERK BACK AND FOURTH UNTIL IT GRABS A HIGHER GEAR. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN 2018 WITH JUST OVER 100,000 MILES AND EVEN NOW THE VEHICLE IS ONLY SITTING AT ROUGHLY 132,000 MILES AND HAS HAS REGULAR SERVICES TO MAINTAIN THE VEHICLE. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, THE TRAVERSE HAS SEVERAL COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAME ISSUE INCLUDING OLDER AND NEWER VEHICLES, AND MOST HAVE RESULTED IN TORQUE CONVERTER/TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED COMPLETELY IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTIONS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DOWNSHIFT FOR TAKE OFF AND HAS ALSO DONE SO WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MERGE ONTO THE INTERSTATE. THE BRAKES HAVE NEVER BEEN FIXED EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID (THERE TIMES) THAT THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THERE IS A LEAK IN THE SUSPENSION, STRUTS, CV/U JOINTS, OIL LEAKS, AND POSSIBLY THE COOLANT. THE ALIGNMENT IS OFF EVEN THOUGH THE DEALERSHIP STATED THEY FIX THE ALIGNMENT, BUT THEY CAN'T IF THERE'S A LEAK THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO PROPERLY FIX IT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NEVER GONE OFF EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT BUT SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. I HAVE FIVE GRANDKIDS AND A DISABLED HUSBAND WHO I HAVE TO DRIVE 80 MILES TO THE DR 2-3 DAYS A WEEK. I CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY TO FIX THIS VEHICLE AND I RECEIVED ABSOLUTELY ZERO SYMPATHY FROM THE LADY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE. I BOUGHT THE CAR 12/2015. WHEN THE ENGINE STOPPED ON ME ON 1-95 WITH MY CHILDREN AND I, WE WERE TERRIFIED. DURING A SERVICE IN 2/2016, I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A 20,000 MILE DISCREPANCY. THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THE ENGINE BUT THE A/C WAS NOT COVERED IN THE STANDARD WARRANTY. SINCE THEN, I BOUGHT MY CAR TO AUTONATION IN APROX. 12 TIMES. LAST TIME, I BOUGHT THE CAR OVER IN MAY, I DROPPED IN OFF BECAUSE MY CAR WAS SHAKING, GAS WAS COMING OUT THE PIPE AND THEN IT STOPPED AND RECEIVED MY CAR BACK OVER 24 HOURS LATER. WHEN I PICKED MY CAR BACK, I RECEIVED A ESTIMATE OF ATLEAST $3,000 AND WAS TOLD IF I WERE TO GET THE CERTAIN REPAIRS DONE TO THE CAR, IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT, MY CAR WOULD STOP HAVING THE PROBLEM, WHEN THE CAR STOPS. AGAIN, THIS MONTH, MY CAR DID THE SAME THING AND THE TRUNK DOOR WOULD NOT STAY OPEN, I HAVE TO HOLD THE DOOR UP WITH MY HANDS. THEN I TOOK IT SOMEWHERE ELSE, THAT REPAIR CENTER, STATED THAT MY COMPUTER HAS PROBLEMS, I NEED A NEW CONDENSER AND COMPRESSOR.

VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING APX 25 MPH AND SLOWING FOR A RIGHT TURN. CAR DIED IN BUSY TRAFFIC AT INTERSECTION ON A CITY STREET. NO WARNING LIGHTS, NO OIL LIGHT AND NO ENGINE LIGHT. RESTARTED VEHICLE AND IT SOUNDED HORRIBLE AND HAD NO POWER. TOOK IT INTO A SHOP TO FIND THE ENGINE HAD FAILED DUE TO IMPROPER OIL PRESSURE. SPUN ROD BEARING, AND TIMING CHAIN FAILURE. CAR RAN PERFECT BEFORE THIS INCIDENT AND I ADHERED TO OIL CHANGE SCHEDULE . I STILL OWE $20,000 ON IT! GM AND CHEVY WILL NOT HELP, EVEN THO I BOUGHT FROM A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. ALSO HAD TO REPLACE POWER STEERING PUMP TWICE IN A YEAR. BLOWER MOTOR QUIT WORKING AND WIPER MOTOR. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE, I FIND TO THESE TO BE EXTREMELY COMMON ISSUES. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR TIMING CHAIN AND ENGINE FAILURE IN 2009 TO 2011, THEN AGAIN IN 2013 BUT NOT 2012? WHY CHEVY?! COST TO FIX: $9,926. ALMOST HALF OF WHAT I OWE ON A VEHICLE IVE HAD A YEAR.

I PURCHASED A 2012 TRAVERSE IT HAS KNOWN ISSUES AND THE DEALER AND THE COMPANY'S HEADQUARTERS STATED THEY ARE KNOWN ISSUES BUT THERE ARE NOT ANY RECALLS AND WOULD NOT REPLACE OR GIVE ANY DISCOUNT IN FIXING THE DEFECTS. THE TRAVERSE DRIVER'S SEAT BRACKET AND SIDE SEAT COVER HAVE BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES, THE AIR CONDITION WIRING HARNESS IS LOCATED IN A PLACE THE RUBS AGAINST THE CHASSIS AND THE FRAME THAT CAUSE A HOLE TO RUB IN THE LINE. THE FRONT WILL NOT REMAIN IN ALIGNMENT. VEHICLES ARE VERY NOISY, WE HAVE TO TALK LOUD OR TURN THE RADIO UP TO HEAR. TWO WEEKS AGO, WHILE I WAS ON I-95 WITH MY KIDS, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY SLOWED DOWN ON ME, TRACTION CONTROL AUTOMATICALLY TURNED OFF, THE CAR STATED ENGINE POWER SLOWED AND STABITALK LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS TERRIFIED. I'M ALREADY A VICTIM OF MILE DISCREPANCY AND POOR PROFESSIONALISM FROM THE GM FROM AUTONATION CHEVROLET DELRAY AND I'M STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED IN APRIL 2016, WITHIN 72 HOURS I NOTICED IT WAS MAKING SOME HORRIBLE NOISES. MY FAMILY MECHANIC SAID THE IDLER BELT TENSIONER WAS BAD, MULTI MOTOR ISSUES, 2 FUSES WERE BLOWN, 2 BAD WINDOW MOTORS, AC WAS NOT SUPER COLD AND THE AIRBAG RECALLS WERE ALL STILL PRESENT. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER TO GET SERVICED AND ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WRECKED IT IN SERVICE AND NO ONE TOLD ME SO I FOUND IT WHEN I GOT HOME, THEY KEPT MY CAR FOR CLOSE TO 5 WEEKS TO REPAIR IT AND THEN TAKE IT TO AN AUTOBODY SHOP SINCE THE DENT WAS BAD ENOUGH WERE THE REAR QUARTER PANEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NOW THAT I HAVE IT BACK, I HAVE EXPERIENCED MULTI TIMES WHERE THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT IN THE RAIN. AND TODAY THE AC STOPPED WORKING. RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING WARNINGS ALL OF THE SUDDEN: TRACTION CONTROL OFF, TRACTION CONTROL NEEDS SERVICE, STABILITRAK OFF, STABILITRAK NEEDS SERVICE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME. VEHICLE BEGAN TRYING TO STALL. LUCKILY, I WAS ON A COUNTRY ROAD AND COULD EASILY PULL OVER QUICKLY. ALL OF THE WARNINGS WENT OFF AFTER A MINUTE AND I RESUMED DRIVING. EVERY TIME I HAD TO SLOW DOWN AND COME TO A STOP, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WOULD DOWNSHIFT VERY HARD. AFTER SEARCHING THE INTERNET TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE COULD BE, I FOUND COUNTLESS FORUMS WITH COUNTLESS PEOPLE HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE, BUT SOME WERE IN A MORE DANGEROUS SITUATION GOING HIGHWAY SPEEDS IN TRAFFIC. OF THOSE PEOPLE MANY OF THEM HAVE TAKEN THEIR VEHICLE TO THEIR GM DEALERSHIPS AND HAVE SPENT HUNDREDS AND EVEN THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON FAILED ATTEMPTS TO FIX IT ONLY TO CONTINUE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM. SOME WILL NO LONGER ALLOW OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS/CHILDREN TO RIDE IN THE VEHICLES DUE TO THE DANGER OF STALLING SUDDENLY WITH NO WARNING. I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE HOW MANY CHEVY MODELS AND YEARS INCLUDING BRAND NEW 2014'S ARE HAVING THIS EXACT ISSUE AND GM IS DOING VERY WELL AT AVOIDING RESPONSIBILITY. THE NEW OWNERS ARE PROTECTED BY LEMON LAWS FINANCIALLY, BUT THE ONLY OPTION FOR OWNERS WITH A VEHICLE OVER A YEAR OLD IS TO SELL OR TRADE IN. EITHER WAY, THIS IS PUTTING YET ANOTHER UNKNOWING CONSUMER IN DANGER AND IT IS KEEPING THESE DEFECTIVE VEHICLES ON THE ROAD WHERE WE AND OUR LOVED ONES DRIVE EVERYDAY. THE RIGHT AND "SAFE" THING TO DO IS FOR GM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR A FAULTY PRODUCT. IT ALSO DOES NOT HAVE A PLACE TO PUT A SPARE TIRE. I HAD A FLAT TIRE THAT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED AND ALL THAT CAME WITH THE VEHICLE IS A CAN OF SEALANT AND AIR TANK. NOW I WILL HAVE TO BUY A SPARE AND PUT IT IN BACK OF MY VEHICLE AND THIS WILL BE A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I BOUGHT THIS TRAVERSE FOR THE 3RD ROW SEATING BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE IT BECAUSE I HAVE NO OTHER PLACE DESIGNATED TO PUT A SPARE OTHER THAN JUST PLACE IN THE BACK SECTION. I HAVE 4 SMALL GRANDCHILDREN AND IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT THE TIRE WILL BE A MAJOR CONCERN BUT WE LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE SOMETIMES PHONE/ONSTAR DOES NOT WORK SO WE HAVE TO HAVE SPARE TIRES. TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 55MPH WE WERE HIT ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DAMAGE TO THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE WELL AND REAR RIGHT SIDE ON THE BODY WITH EXTENSIVE DAMAGE UNDERNEATH. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AT ANYTIME IN THE VEHICLE. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER'S COLLISION AND REPAIR SHOP AND AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS IT WAS RETURNED. WITHIN A WEEK OF GETTING IT BACK THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, WE TOOK IT BACK TO COLLISION REPAIR CENTER THINKING IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE ACCIDENT BUT THE COLLISION REPAIR SENT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP SAYING IT WAS A WARRANTY ISSUE. I'VE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE BACK 4 TIMES NOW FOR THE SAME SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT. DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR KEEPS TELLING ME IT'S AN ISSUE WITH THERE NOT BEING A GREASE NEEDED ON THE SENSORS AND THAT THEY APPLY TO EACH SENSOR AS IT COMES UP, NOW ON THE 4TH TRIP BACK SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER CLAIMS THAT ISN'T CORRECT AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ISSUE. EACH AND EVERY TIME I'VE TAKEN THIS CAR IN I HAVE SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IF IT MEANS MY AIRBAGS ARE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY EVERY TIME I'VE BEEN TOLD, "NO, YOUR AIRBAGS ARE OK, THERE IS NO RISK TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY." HOWEVER, HE WAS CITED FOR SPEEDING. THE SHERIFF STATED HIS RADAR WAS MUCH MORE ACCURATE THAN HIS SPEEDOMETER AND GPS.

CONSUMER STATES SEVERAL ISSUES WITH VEHICLE TO INCLUDE WINDOWS AND SEAT ISSUES *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED IF THE MIDDLE ROW PASSENGER WINDOWS WERE PARTIALLY ROLLED DOWN, THEY WOULD VIBRATE AND MAKE A HORRIBLE NOISE ASH SHE ACCELERATED AND EXCEEDED 30 MPH. THE PANEL BETWEEN EACH OF THE SIDE AND REAR WINDOWS WAS EXTREMELY LARGE AND PROVIDED A MAJOR BLIND SPOT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE PARTICULARLY WHEN BACKING UP OR CHANGING LANES. THE CONSUMER ADDED SMALL MIRRORS TO ASSIST WITH THE VISIBILITY. BOTH FRONT SEAT SQUEAKED OR CREAKED WHEN THEY WERE OCCUPIED. *JB
