During highway operation, vehicle transmission makes very loud and angry sound and then loses ability to move , almost caused us to get hit at an intersection. Vehicle often jumps violently when shifting to reverse, and often loses propulsion when going uphill and shifting. No issues have been identified by mechanics but I have found several forums on line with drivers reporting similar occurrences. This is very dangerous and if not addressed will result in loss of life. We purchased this vehicle certified by the dealer with 92000 miles on it and it began doing this less than a week after purchase. We took it in for recall work and reported it and they said nothing was wrong with it. Manufacturer failure to rectify this very common problem is going to cause may citizens to be injured or killed.

Have had jerky shifts and hard down shifts while driving 2021 Ford Expedition. Told dealership and was told it was normal. Then went in for oil change told the dealership about lose of power while shifting and hard shifts they advised to have transmission fluid changed. Not even 3 weeks later while pulling out onto a busy road my vehicles engine revved very high but the transmission never engaged past 2nd gear. I was almost hit by a car coming at me on the 2 lane road. After letting off the gas and then reapplying gas the transmission engaged. I drove to the dealership. Today they informed me that the transmission has multiple failures at the shift point between 1-2 and 7-8 along with hard down shifts between 4 and 3 gears. Was informed that the transmission would need to be replaced. I never got any error or warning codes that anything was wrong. I told the dealership that I felt unsafe driving the vehicle due to the transmission. The first instance happened less than a month ago. My vehicle is at the shop now waiting to have a replacement at my expense when Ford knew what the transmission is like.

While attempting to pass a slower moving vehicle and changing from the right lane to left, I attempted to accelerate past the vehicle when the check manual light appeared on the vehicle display dashboard and I lost all power. I had no acceleration and no power from the gas pedal, after gliding past the slower vehicle and completely taking my foot off the gas pedal, the truck reset itself and power came back to the vehicle and was able to accelerate again, as if nothing happened.

My intake manifold has been experiencing corrosion. I took it to the dealership for inspection. They said they couldn't determine what was causing it but confirmed it was a process of corrosion. After my own investigation, I have realized there is a design flaw in the gutter area where the bottom of the windshield meets the hood. When it rains or when I get a car wash, the fluid/water is channeled toward the center of the windshield and drains onto the intake manifold and other various surrounding engine parts underneath the hood. I have never seen this happen in other cars. It's a bad design that will eventually corrode the engine. Furthermore, it may be affecting some electrical components under the hood near the intake manifold. This is bad. Please look at the design on the 2021 Ford Expedition XLT. Not sure if this is how they have designed it on other model years, etc. It's a real problem that will cause some serious problems of the engine down the road.

The vehicles jerks when shifting, pops out of gear while driving, takes a long time to find the next gear, is delayed when doing from R to D. Yesterday, 05/14/2025, I took a left turn and drove maybe .2 of a mile and the car jerked very hard and popped out of gear. The car slowed down to almost a complete stop before it finally found a gear and I could accelerate. My children and I were in the car, I was afraid it was going to stall out and we would be sitting in the middle of the road and get hit. The road we were on had no shoulder. This isn't the first time this has happened, but it was the most severe.

There is a chrome decorative trim on the interior of the vehicle that surrounds the cup holders and storage areas. This chrome decorative trim is beginning to delaminate and had a razor-sharp edge. When reaching into the storage compartment that is also a phone charging station the delaminating chrome sliced my hand resulting in me requiring stiches from urgent care.

In the fordpass app, we get a notification that the vehicle has turned off certain function due to inactivity in order to reserve power. However, we will have just driven the vehicle. This message should only populate when the vehicle is inactive for 14 days. It can also populate when the battery drops below 9V or due to extremely hot or cold conditions. It is 70 degrees F outside, so this reduces the reason to only one problem, and that is the battery less than 9V. We just spent over $700 at the dealership on a new battery and service charges because they said it was a battery problem. We spent over $100 the first attempt to find the problem with a sync update. Now, with a new battery and updated sync, out vehicle is still draining the battery. Low and behold, when the message populate in the app, the vehicle will not start, leaving us stranded on multiple occasions in town. The dealership at Long Lewis Ford in Muscle Shoals cannot find the problem.

This recall was issued in January 2025, we are rolling in to month 4 here, this vehicle is used for business and cant drive it while it has an open recall per insurance, we have lost out on almost 4 months of income on this vehicle along with loan payment of 4 months, I feel like Ford has not taken this serious and is taking their time considering its a little older model SUV. Not sure if there is some type of compensation for this from Ford on the delay of this fix. Also, we have had no issues with our rear camera on this vehicle; everything works fine.

My car continues to have electrical problems since 14 months after my purchase. I have reported it to Ford service multiple times as well as Corporate. Each time the same problem happens, I report it here as well. This is the 5th time that this has happened. Each time it has happened, I am at a red light and while waiting, my car just shuts off completely. In the beginning I could press my start button after 1-2 minutes and my car would restart. However, the 4th time it took 9 minutes before my car would start up. It happened again this past week. It took no longer than a minute for my car to start up again. I went to my local dealership and after they took a look, they just think the button with the "A and an arrow circling it" just triggered something and thats why it shut off. They told me there was nothing that they could do. My battery looked fine. This has happened so many times to my vehicle and its the same response, "my car is fine," it just triggered because it's "cold outside." Just tired of the Ford Corporation not fixing this problem in the Expedition. I have read stories on here with the same issue. Be aware if you drive this vehicle because one day someone will seriously get hurt.

Dear National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, I wish to report critical safety issues with my 2021 Ford Expedition Max. The primary concern involves the vehicle’s electrical system, which has repeatedly malfunctioned, causing complete vehicle shutdown while in motion. 1.Failed Component/System: The electrical system has failed, characterized by flickering lights followed by total loss of power. The exact failing component within the system remains unidentified as diagnostics have not yielded error codes. 2.Safety Risks: These malfunctions have endangered my family’s safety by causing unexpected vehicle shutdowns, potentially leading to accidents, especially concerning because it happened once while exiting our driveway. 3.Dealership and Independent Service Confirmation: The issue has been examined by Kendall Ford in Prineville and an independent service center, neither of which has been able to replicate or diagnose the problem successfully. 4.Inspections and Confirmations: The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by certified Ford technicians without conclusive results. No external inspections by police, insurance, or other entities have occurred. 5.Warning Signs and Symptoms: Prior to these failures, there were no warning lamps or messages. The symptoms, including flickering vehicle lights, appeared suddenly and without prior indication. This vehicle’s reliability is compromised due to these unresolved electrical issues, and I am concerned it represents a broader safety risk for similar models. I urge the NHTSA to investigate these problems to prevent potential harm to other consumers. See attached videos in link - [XXX] Ford Motor Case # [XXX] Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. After owning the car a year and about 15,000 miles I started having transmission rough shifting and lurching motions when shifting - violent lurching. I took it in to the dealership and they reset the adaptive learning component for the transmission. Nothing changed. Brought it in again and drove with technician and was able to reproduce issue. They replaced the transmission and the problems continued and actually increased with losing all acceleration on the freeway (floppy pedal) and then completely losing 10th gear when trying to pass another car. Luckily I was able to pull over and I did not cause an accident. It also threw a code/warning light at that time. I took it back to the dealership. They assessed and reset adaptive driving module. It then lost accelleration and wouldn't engage 10th and started smoking. Took it back to dealership and they claimed all that was due to over full transmission fluid. Original problems of rough shifting, lurching, clunking still existed. I filed a report with Ford and got a case number with the concern department. This resulted in the rear end of the car being replaced??? Car still has transmission issues, with all the above mentioned issues, and now delayed acceleration in the lower gears. Enough is enough fighting about fixing it for a year, it has been in for repairs 7 times, and over 49 days of rental cars . The vehicle does not cause warning lights at any point with the rough shifting, lurching, or lack of acceleration. All have been experienced at various times by the dealership. No solution to date.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH in the rain with the windshield wipers engaged, the driver's side windshield wiper arm was jerking. The contact stated that upon pulling over to the side of the road and inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the driver's side windshield wiper arm was lying on the windshield. The contact removed and placed the part inside the vehicle. After the rain had stopped, the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the driver's side windshield wiper arm needed to be replaced. Additionally, the dealer determined that the passenger's side windshield wiper arm needed to be replaced because the wiper arm had worn out. The dealer ordered the parts. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.

The wiper arms keep popping off the motor. We can pop them back on, but they are still popping off.
Feb 17, 2025
On April 14, 2022, a recall was issued for the wiper blade arms for my Ford Expedition. Unfortunately, I did not receive a notice until June of that year, due to a separate recall concerning potential under the hood fire risks. In September 2022, my vehicle was brought in for both recall repairs, but there was a supply shortage of wiper blades, rendering any immediate resolution impossible. Despite subsequent visits for regular check-ups, the wiper blade shortage persisted. On two different occasions (Jan & March 2023) my wiper blades did not work properly. After the wiper blades moved back and forth to clear my window, they got stuck at an angle and completely obstructed my view. I went to my local dealership to temporarily correct the issue. Fast forward to July 2023, and the eagerly awaited wiper blades have finally arrived. However, installing them has revealed a new problem: the blades do not fully retract. Although the wiper motor itself functions correctly, this issue stems from a combination of programming and quality concerns. It appears that a small part within the wiper blade, which prompted the recall, has led the motor to adapt to functioning without that part. Consequently, when the new recall blades are fitted, they do not retract properly, obstructing my view. Upon identifying the problem, the manager at my Ford Dealership promptly reported the issue to Ford, requesting coverage for the cost of a new motor to align with the recall blades. Despite their efforts, Ford has refused to take responsibility for an issue that is clearly not my fault. It is important to note that at the time of the recall, my motor was still under warranty. Additionally, during subsequent visits for oil changes, I was still within the warranty period. Unfortunately, due to the delay in receiving the recall blades, my motor's warranty has now expired based on the mileage of my vehicle. To receive a new motor, I have to pay for it since Ford refuses.

on 5/20/2022 I contacted my local dealership regarding recall 22V250 to discuss getting this issue repaired. I was scheduled an appointment on 6/16/2022 at 7:40 a.m. On 6/15/2022 I was told by the dealership that they were not going to repair my vehicle because I was not having any issues with it and I had to wait until there was a problem. When I made the appointment on 5/20/22 I was told that they would be able to repair it even if it was not broken and they would get the part ordered. I was told yesterday by the service manager that they had three parts in but they belonged to someone else and that since mine was not broken they could not fix it.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

The fuel pump failed without warning leaving the vehicle stranded in the express lane of a highway. This exposed the vehicle and occupants to serious risk of collision. The vehicle does not allow the transmission to shift to neutral to move the vehicle from live traffic lane when the engine is not running. This is the same fuel pump model at the heart of the ongoing recall on other ford vehicles.
Sep 20, 2025
Fuel pump part number JL1Z*9H307*G failed at highway speed leaving vehicle stranded in express traffic lanes. But for the prompt response from FHP this would have resulted in a serious crash. The vehicle has almost never been operated below 30% of fuel capacity and has never been operated to near empty fuel. There are no known wear or accidents that impact the fuel system. there were no warnings or other symptoms prior to the complete pump failure.

My catalytic converter of my 2021 expedition is going out. We had a 2019 Ford Expedition Texas Edition and I had the same issue. We purchased our current expedition in April of 2023. This spring the converter was signaled with the check engine light and since then my vehicle has had issues with acceleration, it consumes gas at an extremely high rate and my engine works harder over time. My concern is that my vehicle will have an engine malfunction or put me into bankruptcy by the amount of gas it consumes per trip. I found that many other expeditions from the years 2018-2022 have similar issues to mine, in fact one of my friends in town had the same issue. I reported my issue to Ford and they said they would not repair. My vehicle has less than 80k miles on it.

The right tail lamp on my 2021 Ford Expedition was loose, and the tail lamp completely fell off while I was driving. My safety and the safety of other drivers was put at risk when the tail lamp fell off because my tail lamp was not visible to other drivers. The vehicle was not involved in any accident, and the tail lamp is in perfect condition. My car is at the dealership currently to get it fixed, and the technician stated that the tabs are broken on the backside of the tail lamp so it is not able to lock into place. The tail lamp has to be completely replaced. There were no warning lamps, messages, or any other type of indication that the tail lamp was loose. I believe this was caused by a manufacturer defect.

There is an issue with the auto start/stop where the engine is turned off completely when the vehicle is stopped for any reason. For example, when the car is stopped in a traffic jam it shut off completely which means I have to shift the gear to Park and turn the engine on again . I was advised by Ford dealership that there is not a fix for that. The reverse camera system does not display any images, i.e., the screen is black/blue (depending on night/day) and provides no view of what is behind the vehicle. The motion and parking sensors are still providing input, but the driver cannot see what the sensors are detecting. Since this is a large SUV with multiple blind spots, this creates a hazard when trying to back up the vehicle.

Backup camera does not always work and cuts out. Also, the 360 view cameras cut out. It is hard to see in the back during low light conditions with tinted back window. Afraid would hit someone or something when backing out in public parking spaces etc. or from home driveway. Yes, it was brought to dealer's attention in April 2021 right after vehicle was purchased and then again followed up July 2020 with no updates or repairs. Dealer acknowledged the issue and said the part is on back order.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
3 complaints
On numerous occasions, when traveling at speeds 50mph and over, the vehicle failed to further accelerate when the gas pedal was engaged. This caused the rpm's to rev up to 7 and the vehicle to slow down. Our safety was at risk because the vehicle was unresponsive to acceleration for at least 20-30 seconds making it impossible to avoid or get away from something dangerous. On one occasion, the vehicle made an alarming grinding sound. I have not yet taken the vehicle to a service center for inspection of this problem. There were not any warning lamps, messages, etc prior to the failure.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that on two separate occasions while the cruise control was engaged at approximately 86 MPH, the RPM increased and the vehicle inadvertently accelerated; however, the contact’s husband was able to disengage cruise control to slow down. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician determined that the floormats had jammed the accelerator pedal however, the failure recurred. The contact then stated that on a separate occasion while the cruise control was engaged at approximately 84 MPH, the RPM increased rapidly and the vehicle inadvertently accelerated at high speeds however, the contact’s husband attempted to disengage cruise control, but the cruise control failed to disengage. As a result of the failure, the contact’s husband had to apply extreme pressure to the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The contact’s husband was able to navigate off the road then turned off and restarted the vehicle. The battery warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the residence and was then towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that an unknown sensor and the battery was faulty however, the actual cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to tow the vehicle to another dealer. The contact was provided a case number, but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

Dealers claim they don't know about it but a quick search to find its a common issue. Available for inspection. Light failure, confirmation is it is now always that way. Was inspected at the dealership and informed it was $3000 to replace the light assembly. No warning driver in front of me informed me to the issue.

I originally leased and have since purchased this vehicle. Since owning the vehicle, it sometimes has a harsh shift between gears. It is so harsh that I have mentioned it to at least two different Ford dealerships during the transmission warranry period. No remedy was provided at the time. The car has continued to have shifting issues and now the car will pop out of gear while driving, which is a major safety issue. We informed a Ford dealership about this experience and they are now telling us we need a new transmission as they found metal in the transmission fluid. The transmission warranty just expired and there is a NHTSA bulletin about this very issue and there is an open recall on the power module for this car. When driving down the road and it does not matter what speed I am going, is when this issue is happening to most. I will be driving and out of the blue the tachometer will just drop to zero (0) and I lose all power and the vehicle starts shaking vigorously back and forth until it decides what gear the transmission wants to be in. It is doing this every single day, and it almost made me wrecked the other day. I do not even have 70,000 miles and it will be three years old in April 2024. I have called Ford and reported the issue as well. I have researched the issues, and many other Expeditions are having the same issue years 2020-2022. I am asking for Ford to take a serious look at all the car crashes from this exact issue. I do know the F150 are recalled with the exact transmission that is in the Expeditions. The transmission on Thursday 2-22-24 after driving and parked, put the car in drive then it did not want to get out of parked and do into drive or reverse.

The “handless” rear hatch opening activates when not intended. This has caused a concussion to a driver while loading a vehicle. While this is not a “driving” system, it causes injuries to occupants immediately prior to driving. It is entirely possible that a driver could suffer a head injury without knowledge, then begin driving. This causes a dangerous driving environment. In particular the system is supposed to operate when the key is in a persons pocket and the foot is waived in the air by the hitch receiver area. The issues exists because it activates even if an object moves under the vehicle when key is in the correct proximity. This can even pin a driver down with the door over thier back while loading. Again this causes injuries and issues that may not be discovered until driving. In this particular incident the driver was loading the cargo area, when the door activated to close unknown to driver. At the same time the driver was leaning back and standing back up hitting his head on the door while it was closing on him. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes later after finishing loading, the driver drove away (sole occupant). After another 10 to 15 minutes later driver was feeling dizzy and un able to focus. The driver stopped the vehicle and sought medical attention. The driver was diagnosed with a minor concussion. While this had a good result, it could have easily escalated or caused a serious accident. It is recommended that a safety advisory about the potential risks of automatic door opening/closing is released. In addition it is recommended that the manufacturer enable the ability to disable the automatic function in the vehicle system in a manner where it only comes back on after a user turns it on.

The 360 degree backup camera displays a black screen when activated in both reverse and forward parking mode. This causes myself & any other driver to not have clear vision around the vehicle while in reverse posing a severe safety hazard. This problem has been reported & confirmed diagnostically from my local dealership as well as reported to Ford Motors itself resulting in a case being opened regarding the safety issue. I have been told by Ford on multiple occasions that they will expedite my case & call me back with information, however it has been over 6 weeks and I have had to call them e Rey time to follow up. This back up camera safety issue has already been recalled on other makes & models of Ford vehicles including the year model before my vehicle. My dealership told me that although this exact same issue is recalled on other vehicles, I would need to pay the estimated $1500 to repair my issue. This has caused me and my family a significant amount of stress because we have young children, drive carpool for elementary school and need to be able to see our surroundings dings when backing up and parking. Several times I have come close to hitting something when parking because I can’t see from the camera. The NTHSB has also issued safety recalls for Ford backup cameras having this exact same issue and this is a huge safety issue for my model Ford as well. Ford knows there’s a safety issue and is not taking this seriously. We intentionally paid extra for this camera to ensure adequate vision while reversing and parking, this is unacceptable on Ford’s part to not escalate this issue and repair the defective camera at no cost. I desperately need help in getting Ford to fix this before a serious avoidable injury or accident occurs. I do not have another car I can drive and am stressed every time I drive now.

Back up camera stays lit after putting the car in Drive. After 30 seconds or so it goes off and the screen goes black. You cannot push any buttons on the screen, related to the radio or climate controls. Ford doesn't know how to fix it because its not a "Major Issue" What a joke.

Nn 9/15/2025 While the car was running but parked, we began to smell burnt plastic/electrical. Upon trying to shut off the vehicle several service lamps came on advising to go immediately to a service center and that there was a powertrain issue. Vehicle would also not shut off. Upon arrival at dealership they diagnosed that the battery box had corroded and would need replaced under the 1time battery Junction box replacement campaign (22N19). Upon repair they discovered that the wiring harness was badly melted and would need replace part [XXX] . The problem lies here. This part is backordered with no date for availability. Ford refuses to acknowledge this as a problem, and will not help with rental or loaner assistance, as that repair shouldn't take more then a few hours to complete. While towing a rented trailer from Tractor Supply, the trailer detached because it was not properly secured by store staff. The trailer struck the rear bumper of my 2021 Ford Expedition, causing visible body damage and raising concerns about hidden damage to the drivetrain and transmission due to the sudden force of the impact. After the incident, the vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership for inspection. Documentation exists showing that additional drivetrain and transmission evaluation is needed to determine the full extent of damage. The rear-view camera is also under active NHTSA recall (25V048), and its poor image quality complicates safe reversing after the incident. The safety risk is significant: the trailer detachment created a roadway hazard and impact, while the rear camera defect reduces visibility and increases crash risk when backing. The vehicle has been inspected by a Ford dealership and is being reviewed under an insurance claim with Tractor Supply’s insurer. Full documentation of the service visit and inspection is available upon request.

My Ford expeditions transmission is causing unsafe driving with rough sound and thunking noise. There is a C,D,F issue and valve separator parts that are the initial issue that can cause major issues for me and many others. A Ford technician advised me that TSBs exist and made me aware that my cost could be $199 (diagnostics), $1500 (parts), and $4400 or more (transmission repair or replacement). Why is this danger still be allowed with a well known issue. The problem started and appears to be getting worse. Why is Ford being held accountable for this lack of quality in their vehicles.

I was on my way to my daughter's school. We got off the on ramp to her school and while waiting at the red stop light, my car stalled. The wheels locked. My brake pedal and gas pedal were not working when the stop light turned green. The car dashboard was showing the power to be on but nothing was working. After a minute, the battery light and the a light with the arrow that kind of circles around it started blinking. I put my hazards and waved people behind me to go around me. After a few minutes, my car started to go backwards on the on-ramp. I looked back and could feel and see my car going backwards toward the cars behind me. The traffic behind me on the on-ramp started to honk at me. They could see what was happening too. I put the car from drive to park and put my emergency brake and the car stopped. I called 911 and explained what was happening. After a few more minutes, two men in two different vehicles came and offered to help push my car. One of them asked me to put my car in neutral but my car was not allowing me to turn to the different shifts. All of a sudden my car starts blinking again. One of the guys told me to try to press the power again. All of a sudden my car starts powering up again. I thanked the two men and finished dropping off my daughter to school. From the time my car stalled and turned back on was about 8-9 minutes. This car has shown problems over and over with Ford. I have had 3 new car batteries since owning this vehicle in the 3 years I've had it. I've reported all the different car issues on the NHTSA website. I just had my oil changed a few months ago. My car just had a few things fixed in June. I have never been so shaken up like this before. My legs and hands could not stop shaking. I couldn’t stop crying. I’ve never been so scared in my life in this vehicle. This was the first time my kid was with me when my car has stalled like this. For my car to lose complete function was the scariest moment in my life with my kid.

Vehicle caught fire on February 29, 2024, with family members inside the vehicle. The fire appeared to start under the hood on the right passenger side, which would directly correlate with the current open recall. The family had just made a trip back from a basketball game and was dropping off a passenger when smoke was noticed. Upon further inspection, there was an active fire under the hood, which soon erupted into a burst of flames, causing the vehicle to be declared a total loss. Emergency responders had to be called to the scene to alleviate the fire. The fire report depicts a vehicle malfunction as the cause of the ignition. Daily the automatic transmission will erratically and forcefully downshift at highway speed. When changing Driving Modes the transmission display on the dash has numbers disappear and the transmission downshifts with great force which has lead to injuries. After sitting for more than a few hours the transmission will not go into reverse at first but will then violently shift into reverse after several minutes. These issues began not long after we purchased this vehicle new. The service manager at the dealership the vehicle was purchased from when I told him about these problems told me that I don’t understand how a 10 speed transmission works. The important notice that I received states that Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to provide you with vehicle pickup and delivery, a rental vehicle or other alternate transportation all for FREE. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
1 complaint
I have just found out that my pre-collision assist system has never worked in my vehicle since the day I purchased it brand new from the Ford dealership. My vehicle is 1 1/2 years old now and I never knew I had this function. Recently, I got a chip in the center of my windshield and I got it fixed. I asked how much a new windshield was and I was told a price and to make sure I get OEM glass and to have the camera in the front where the rearview mirror is calibrated correctly so the pre-collision assist will work correctly. I was somewhat confused and was like ok. I searched for the settings in my vehicle and sure enough there is a pre-collision setting which has been ON since who knows when because I never touched that setting before. Well, it has never worked because I have had countless encounters with vehicles and pedestrians cutting me off right in front of me while in operation. This is not good. And I read that 2020 Ford Expeditions have been recalled because of this. I believe it's happening to 2021 models as well. I expect to take my vehicle in for service ASAP.

I received notice through carfax of a recall due to fire hazard. Numerous attempts at getting more information through ford has resulted in little more than referral to a local dealer. The dealer has no loaners available at this time. I Am forced to park in my driveway surrounded by trees as there is no place near me to park that avoids other structures In a chat with ford today I was told a potential temporary solution was to disconnect the battery. When I called the local dealer again and requested a quick disconnect be installed they said they don’t /won’t do that. So I am back to square one. A new expensive suv which may burn down my house and no clear solution. If I were to install a quick disconnect on my own I was told it had to be done with a ford service (why if I am paying out of pocket for it). This is potentially dangerous situation and left hanging on my own Feel like how pinto owners must have felt
