THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED THAT THE FRONT TIRES WERE WEARING DOWN QUICKLY AND UNEVENLY, BUT THE REAR TIRES SHOWED NO FAILURES. THE LOCAL TIRE STORE WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY NO LONGER SERVICED OR SOLD HANKOOK TIRES. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND LEFT A VOICE MESSAGE. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 370,000. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

1999 FORD F-350. UNIT #1 WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE ON THE OHIO TURNPIKE. UNIT #1 HAD A RIGHT TIRE BLOWOUT CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL AND STRIKE THE GUARDRAIL OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. UNIT #1 CAME TO A CONTROLLED STOP AFTER STRIKING THE GUARDRAIL. *LN ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT, ALL THE TIRES WERE IN GOOD CONDITION, BUT ALL WERE FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS AND ALL HAD DIFFERENT READ PATTERNS. HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED ON 7-26-09 I WAS ON MY WAY BACK TO FORT WORTH FROM AUSTIN, TX FROM A TRADE SHOW WHEN ABOUT 3:00 PM ON HWY I-35E 19 MILES SOUTH OF WACO TX THE I FELT A SUDDEN VIBRATION AND THUMPING IN THE FRONT. I STARTED TO SLOW DOWN TO GET OFF THE ROAD TO CHECK IT OUT WHEN FRONT LEFT TIRE BLEW OUT, CAUSING THE TRUCK TO SEVERELY VEER TO THE LEFT TRYING MY BEST TO KEEP THE TRUCK FROM ROLLING, THEN HITTING THE CONCRETE GUARD RAIL WHICH DEFLECTED THE TRUCK ENOUGH TO SLIDE DOWN THE BARRIER FOR ABOUT TWO HUNDRED FEET TILL IT STOPPED. I FELT LUCKY TO BE ALIVE. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE RIGHT LANE AT THE TIME I WOULD HAVE TAKEN CARS OUT AS WELL. I WAS ABLE PUT THE SPARE ON AND LIMP BACK HOME THIS IS THE THIRD TIRE OUT OF THE FOUR ALL THE SAME BATCH I HAVE HAD THROWN TREAD AND THE LAST WAS BLOW OUT! ALL INSTALLED AT THE SAME TIME AND BRAND. FIRST ONE THREW TREAD ON 10-14-08 LEFT REAR DID SOME DAMAGE. OK THINGS HAPPEN, I HAVE WARRANTY ON IT FROM DISCOUNT TIRES, THEY REPLACED IT.. THEN THE NEXT THREW OFF IT'S ON 7-21-09 RIGHT REAR TIRE. DISCOUNT TIRE REPLACES IT TOO.. I HAD THEM LOOK AT THE OTHERS TIRES AND CHECK FOR DEFECTS, EVERYTHING WAS FINE.. FIVE DAYS LATER THIS BLOW OUT ON THE DRIVERS FRONT' THREE TIRES THROWING TREAD IN 9 MONTHS AND TWO WITH IN A WEEK I WAS THINKING THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE, THIS IS THE DEFINITE SIGN OF DEFECTIVE TIRES. I STILL HAVE ONE MORE TIRE ON THE TRUCK WHICH LOOKS PERFECTLY GOOD.. I WILL ASK TO HAVE REPLACED AS WELL. I'M NOT HAVING ANY LUCK WITH MICHELIN .. BECAUSE OF MUCH CORROSION AT THE CHASSIS I DECIDED TO REMOVE THE CHEAP BITUMEN PROTECTION AND TO COVER THE CHASSIS WITH SPECIAL PAINTS. DOING THIS, I DISCOVERED, THAT THE IRON BELTS OF THE FUEL TANK WAS COMPLETELY ATTACKED BY CORROSION. MAY BE 20 % OF IRON HAD CHANGED INTO FEO. LATER THE SAME DAY, I PULLED A VIN HISTORY ON THE VEHICLE, AND FOUND THAT THE ODOMETER HAD BEEN ROLLED BACK. WHEN WE PURCHASED THE TRUCK, WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS A TRADE IN FROM A GUY THAT BOUGHT IT AT PARKER FORD, AND TRADED IT IN TO PARKER TOYOTA. THE TRUE STORY (VERIFED BY FORD MOTORS), WAS THAT THE TRUCK CAME OUT OF TERRACE, BC. IT WENT TO AUCTION IN MAY 2000, WHERE THE ODOMETER WAS CONVERTED FROM KM TO US MILES. THEY HAVE RECORDS THAT IT WENT IN TO THE ODOMETER SHOP WITH 68,000 KM, AND CAME OUT WITH 33,100 US MILES. THIS IS A MISTAKE OF NEARLY 10,000 MILES. PARKER TOYOTA ADMITS THAT THEY ARE AT FAULT FOR THE ODOMETER FRAUD, BUT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WE ARE FILING SUIT AGAINST PARKER TOYOTA FOR FRAUD.*AK

I HAVE A 1999 FORD F350. I HAVE THE BRAKES WORKED ON 4 SEPARATE TIMES IN THE 5 YEARS SINCE THE TRUCK FROM MY FATHER IN LAW. THE FRONT START TO SHAKE VERY HARD AND FINAL SLOWS DOWN. WE HAVE HAD 3 1999 SUPERDUTY'S 6-SPEED DUALLYS WHEN WE BOUGHT THEM. ALL STARTED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AT ABOUT 3,000 MILES. EVERY TIME THAT YOU WOULD BE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND YOU TURNED, THE REAR WOULD MAKE A BUMPING AND GRINDING NOISE. YOU CAN HEAR IT ON THE OUTSIDE REAL BAD. WE TOOK THEM TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THEY ALL STARTED LEAKING REAR END OIL. THEY PUT THE PART ON THEM, BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE LEAK HAD STOPPED ON ALL OF THEM, BUT THE GRINDING NOISE STILL REMAINED. WE HAD TO LET ONE OF THEM GO BACK BECAUSE IT WAS SO BAD. THE OTHERS ARE STILL DOING HORRIBLE. SEAT BELT: DRIVERS SEATBELT HANGS DOWN AND GETS CAUGHT IN BOTTOM OF DOOR. YOU SHUT YOUR DOOR, FASTEN THE BELT NOT KNOWING IT IS STUCK IN DOOR. IN SUDDEN STOPS, THE BELT PULLS FREE WITH MUCH SLACK REMAINING POSSIBLY ALLOWING YOUR BODY TO GO THROUGH WINDSHIELD. BELT TWISTS VERY EASILY, AND BOTTOM PIVOT/ANCHOR TURNS EASILY ALLOWING BELT TO HANG DOWN IN DOOR. MUST FIDDLE WITH IT EACH TIME EXITING THE VEHICLE AND MUST DOUBLE CHECK IT IS NOT STUCK IN DOOR. TRANSMISSION: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DID NOT DISENGAGE IN COLD WEATHER CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL AT INTERSECTION NEARLY CAUSING ACCIDENT SEVERAL TIMES. TRANSMISSION ALSO SHIFTS IN AND OUT OF GEAR WHILE GOING INTO OVERDRIVE ERRATICALLY. IT WILL GO IN AND OUT OF OVERDRIVE SEVERAL TIME WITHING A SECOND OR TWO CAUSING THE VEHICLE AND PASSENGERS TO JERK BACK AND FORTH SUDDENLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY.
