The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that after the battery was replaced, the message "Transmission Malfunction Service Now" message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the RPMs fluctuated, and the engine revved abnormally. Whenever the contact attempted to depress the brake pedal, the engine jerked, and the transmission failed to shift as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. Upon investigation, the contact related the failure to the Customer Satisfaction Program: 14M02 (Transmission Control Module); however, the VIN was not included. The failure persisted, and the vehicle remained at the residence unrepaired. The contact had parked the vehicle out of safety concerns. This vehicle has experienced the exact issue of a Ford recall for other model year fiestas. The oil pump belt has experienced premature wear and failure, leading to a sudden loss of power. My local Ford dealer says that this vehicle should have been included in Ford recall #23S64 and that I should report this to NHTSA to document and hopefully expand the recall to all years that result in this issue.

In 2020, Documents were subpoened proving that Ford falsified doors and used a dangerous faulty transmission in Ford Fiesta and Focus Moodels from 2011-2015. There were so many lawsuits, they settled through arbitration. The judicial system only required an extended waranty- no recall or redesign. These vehicles are dangerous, and when transmission overheats, the cars stop in the middle of the road. Many will not go in Reverse. Ford is recouping their arbitration settlement money by continuing to sell these cars on the Used Car Market with the same DPS6 Transmissions which they knew were faulty and dangerous, and falsified documents about, with Clean Car Faxes, often low mileage- because heat starts transmission failure, and that is not fair. The pledge does not say...."WitH liberty and justice for ALL WHO CAN AFFORD IT!" I HAVE AMOST BEEN REAR-ENDED TWICE, because car stops when Trans gets hot. One driver of a 4'4 truck, speeding around a blind spot, swerved into oncoming lane, rolled down his window, pointed a pistol at me, cursing because I ALMOST made HIM WRECK! although my safety flashers were on. There are no shoulders on these rural roads. This car is DANGEROUS! WHY WAS FORD ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS? Falsification of documents about a cars safety is fraud. There are tens of thousands with Clean Car Faxes still being sold unfairly to unknowing victims with modest incomes who TRUST CAR FAX DOCUMENTATION.

In May, my 2015 Ford Fiesta SE went into "limp mode" before reaching the speed limit of 25mph. Immediately afterwards it was taken into a local shop, Mobile Mechanic, where no codes were active and coolant level was between min and max level. Next day, car experienced misfiring check engine light and overheating before being looked at by a mechanic. Mechanic replaced spark plugs due to code reading misfiring in cylinder 3. Car still continued to misfire and due to slight lower level of coolant, Engine overheated and cracked a cylinder block in the 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. This car is used to travel with two children under [XXX] and [XXX]. The beginning of June the car overheated on a hot day traveling home with the two kids and myself. We had to sit in the heat for close to an hour before temperature gauge returned to normal, I checked the coolant and it was still between min and max levels. On the same trip, it was on the verge of overheating again due to climbing the hill before our house. After finding out the cylinder block was cracked by my mechanic we discovered there has been a recall issue with the same engine, Recall 17S09, that began in January 2018, a month before I purchased my car from Redwood Ford in Ukiah California ([XXX]). I called W. C. Sanderson Ford in Healdsburg, California on July, 15th, 2025 to see if it would be possible to see if this recall was actually fixed on my vehicle, which they responded that the recall has nothing to do with my car and they can't do anything about my car. The representative specifically said that due to my car being 10 years old it has been disqualified of the recall and is no longer attached to my VIN. I have taken this car to the same local mechanic 4 times since the ending of May, 2025 for the same issues before we discovered the cracked cylinder block, mechanic took pictures of fluid and water inside cylinder 3. There is a recall (Recall no. 17V209000) that my VIN should have been included in but is not. My vehicle was not equipped with a coolant level sensor from the factory and does not alert to low coolant levels in the vehicle, which can lead to overheating, engine damage, and potential engine fire. The recall fix is a new updated coolant tank design, the inclusion of a coolant level sensor, and a software update for the function of said sensor.

On 3/10/2025, when driving my 2015 Ford Fiesta SE, I experienced a sudden failure consisting of a "lurch", lost all drive power to the vehicle, and had to use inertia to steer myself out of traffic to the shoulder of the road. After exiting the vehicle, I inspected all tires (no issues) and popped the hood (no visible issues like smoke). I requested emergency roadside assistance to tow my vehicle to the nearest mechanic shop. After troubleshooting the vehicle, the shop confirmed that all fluid levels were okay and the timing belt had failed, specifically noting that the manufacture-recommended PMI is at 150,000 miles and my vehicle only had 118,579 miles. What component failed = Timing belt. Is it available for inspection = It can be. How was safety at risk = Losing all mechanical power while going up a grade in heavy traffic. Has the problem been confirmed = Yes, by an independent service center. Has the vehicle been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance = No, but I did call Ford's service line to notify them; no action taken on their part. Any warnings = No sounds, no transient loss of power, no warning lights; just a sudden "bang" and "lurch".

Whenever I put gas in my car, it will not start right away. I have waited close to 15 minutes for my car to finally let me start it and leave the gas station. The check engine light is on. I have a diagnostic test scheduled for next week. I was told by the dealership that there is no recall for my car.

On June1, 2022 Mel Hambelton Ford replaced all 4 door latches do to recall. A few weeks ago I noticed that my 2 back doors were NOT Locking. They would click, but would not lock. Front doors work fine. The New latches they put in are as follows. LF-280720, LR-110820, RR-270914 and, RF-290914. I have attached the dated Invoice. In order to keep the doors from opening, I have taken my backseat belts and looped them through the door handles and fastened them. I am concerned that my car can be broken into do to the malfunction of the back door latches not locking. This is a major safety issue. Please advice as to how I should proceed?

In the year 2016 I purchased my Ford focus fiesta license plate [XXX] Vin# [XXX] 
Noticing my driver and passenger, which is left and right rocker molder was a little loose from the pens that held them. The car was brand new. It's a 2015 only 6 miles on odometer time of purchase. I told the salesman about it and he said it was nothing to worry about That the ROCKER MOLDING DRIVER AND PASSENGER WHICH refer to two left and right rocker molde are stabler.
On [XXX] the Left Rocker molder had came loose to approximately was held by 2 pins. I was concerned for the safety matter of this vehicle being on the freeway for the safety of others and myself so I had a repaired on November 4, 2024 due to a safety issue and not a cosmetic issue at Crash Champion as repair technician Manuel recommend to repair to safety issues. Dealer replaced a faulty TCM, After receiving the vehicle back it still doesn't shift correctly or seem to acknowledge input from the gas pedal. will occasionally shift into neutral before going into the correct gear. At 45 MPH the RPM was 5000

The clutch pedal sticks to the floor after driving on the highway for 30 minutes or so. The clutch pedal can be brought back up by lifting it with my foot. The clutch pedal has a very minimal amount of travel in it when this happens and can be pumped to bring back normal operation for a few minutes. There doesnt seem to be a fluid leak in the system. My local dealer inspected the clutch slave cylinder and it appeared to be operational and otherwise fine. The risk this poses is that i need to be able to shift gears and otherwise operate the car properly in case of an emergency. a sticking clutch pedal prevents me from being able to select the correct gear for my road speed, and it affects the ability for a controlled takeoff from a stop, this potentially affects my ability to react to an emergency as well. The dealer was not able to recreate the problem because it takes too long or a certain set of circumstances to replicate the issue. The car does not have a warning light or message for this.

I WAS RECENTLY IN A CAR ACCIDENT WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG WAS ACTIVATED AND METAL FRAGMENTS CAME THROUGH THE AIR BAG AN CUT MY HEAD OPEN. MY ACCIDENT WAS HEAD ON IMPACT WITH A STATIONARY DWELLING. ALL WINDOWS WERE FULLY INTACT UPON AND AFTER IMPACT. IT MAY BE POSSIBLE FOR THE PAWL SPRING TAB INSIDE ONE OR MORE OF THE SIDE DOOR LATCHES TO BREAK. THIS CONDITION WILL TYPICALLY PREVENT THE DOOR FROM LATCHING. IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS, WHERE THE DOOR IS ABLE TO BE CLOSED, THE DOOR MAY UNLATCH WHILE DRIVING. SAFETY RISK: IF YOU ARE ABLE TO LATCH THE DOOR AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO SHUT THE DOOR, THERE IS A POTENTIAL THE DOOR MAY UNLATCH WHILE DRIVING, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY.

WHEN OPENING PASSENGER DOOR TO DEPOSIT BAGS INTO PASSENGER SEAT DOOR LATCH MALFUNCTIONED AND WOULD NO LONGER ALLOW DOOR TO FULLY LATCH AND REMAIN CLOSED. THE LATCH MECHANISM MOVED FREELY WHEN MANIPULATED AND WAS NOT STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION. VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION AND PARKED, BUT HAD TO BE DRIVEN AFTER THE LATCH FAILURE RESULTING IN THE PASSENGER DOOR WANTING TO SWING OPEN WHEN DRIVING IF NOT HELD. THERE WAS AN ACTIVE RECALL SHOWN FOR 2014-2015 FORD FIESTA'S DOOR LATCH, BUT I WAS TOLD MY VIN DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL AND WAS CHARGED $325.17 FOR THE REPAIR/REPLACEMENT AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP.

I DISCOVERED AFTER ACCESSING MY LEFT REAR PASSENGER DOOR THE OTHER DAY AND ATTEMPTING TO SHUT IT, THAT THE LEFT REAR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH APPEARS TO HAVE FAILED, PREVENTING MY VEHICLE'S DOOR FROM LATCHING SHUT. I CURRENTLY HAVE TO KEEP IT CLOSED BY USING THE LEFT REAR PASSENGER SEATBELT THROUGH THE HANDLE OF THE DOOR, OTHERWISE THE DOOR WOULD SWING FREELY WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT LOCK NOW, AND THE OPEN DOOR INDICATOR LIGHT REMAINS OPEN DUE TO THE FAILED LATCH.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that during cold weather conditions, the check engine and the low oil pressure warning lights illuminated intermittently. The failure had become constant over time. The contact who is a certified mechanic, diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the camshaft had failed due to a camshaft position timing performance bank code. The contact replaced the spark plugs and, while doing so, noticed oil in the thread of cylinder #3 spark plug. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V209000 (engine and engine cooling). The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V209000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the check engine warning light had illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact replaced the spark plugs; however, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the vacuum pump and hoses. A few weeks later, the check engine warning light returned and the vehicle failed to start up after several attempts. The contact also noticed that coolant needed to be added more frequently to the reservoir. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was discovered that coolant leaked into the cylinders resulting in engine failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V209000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) which she linked to the failure. For as long as I've had my car - 2017 till now - it's had what I term a "hiccup" after receiving gas. The engine would slightly shudder for the first 5-10 minutes after I filled the car with gas. This was not from overfilling the tank as I never max out the tank. I didn't think much about this until a few months ago. A few minutes after filling my car with gas, the engine shuddered severely and the RPM dropped to zero. This caused the engine to die and left me unable to exit from the turn lane. No warning lights appeared on my dash. I turned on the hazard lights and rolled down the window, but eventually all the lights inside the car died. I was stuck in a left turn lane, unable to move. I had to stick my hand out the window to direct other cars to drive around me. I requested a tow via my car insurance company and the drive arrived within ~15 minutes. The tow truck driver was able to restart my car and we towed it to the local Ford Service center. I explained the issue to the service department, but they were unable to replicate the issue and thus did not resolve it. Since then, the same issues has occurred every time I refill the gas tank. Regardless of how much gas is added or how full the tank was after receiving gas. After adding gas, I have begun immediately parking at the gas station to wait out the engine shudders. They do stop after ~10 minutes, but during that time they have caused the engine to die again. In the past weeks, I've also begun to observe a minor engine shudder even when stopped at a red light. I have never observed a warning light. Online research has shown a number of other people experiencing this issue. It seems the likely cause is a faulty fuel vapor purge valve. This valve may be allowing liquid fuel to flow to the engine, causing the engine to shudder and die. I will be taking my car to a different service center in hopes of the issues being resolved and not getting stranded again. FOR SEVERAL MONTHS SINCE I'VE HAD THE CAR. IT WILL FROM TIME TO TIME STALL OUT. NOW IT CRANK BUT WON'T START UP. YOU CAN BE DRIVING OR IDLE AND THE CAR SHAKES AND STALLS OUT. My car has been under recall now for the transmission or chip in the transmission. The car keeps jerking, stalls randomly and sometimes won't work. It's been confirmed by the Palatka FL Ford dealership. I originally took it to the Ford in Ocala FL, but they keep refusing to fix it. Now the Palatka one is saying they can't because they don't have a chip. They're refusing to buy it back or work with me on it. I am the original owner, bought it strait off the lot and it was made in 2015. It's only 8 years old, but I've stalled now multiple times on the highway, in traffic on the way to work, and at gas stations. I want this fixed ASAP, according to the laws they have to work with me on this. I just don't know how to get them to work with me.

The contact owned a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she depressed the brake pedal to slow the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to engage. The contact had to apply pressure to the brake pedal to glide the vehicle to a stop. Additionally, the contact added that the front passenger side door became stuck and failed to open and the front driver’s side door failed to remain closed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact then stated that three days later, while driving at an undisclosed speed, attempting to make an undisclosed turn onto the interstate when she depressed the brake pedal to slow the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to slow. As a result, the wheels caught onto the ground gravel and spun off the road and rolled over, flipping the vehicle to a complete 180-degree turn. The contact sustained bruising to the chest, the right thigh, and a scratch on the right leg. No medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000. ON APRIL 11, 2021, THE 2015 FORD FIESTA I WAS DRIVING UNINTENTIONALLY ACCELERATED INTO A COMMERCIAL BUILDING AT A SHOPPING MALL. THE CAR HAD TWO INCIDENTS OF ACCELERATING WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE PRIOR TO THE FINAL INCIDENT WHERE THE CAR RAN INTO A WALL AND WAS TOTALED. THE CAR HAD NEVER EXHIBITED ANY BRAKING OR ACCELERATION ISSUES BEFORE THIS DAY. THE FIRST INCIDENT, I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO GO OVER A SPEED BUMP. AS I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKE, THE CAR JERKED FORWARD THEN STOPPED. IT DROVE AS NORMAL THROUGH TRAFFIC FOR THE NEXT 8 MILES. I WAS CLOSE TO MY DESTINATION, AS I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE CAR SPED UP AND STOPPED WHEN I PULLED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. AGAIN, THE CAR DROVE FINE FOR THE NEXT MILE. I WAS VERY AWARE WHILE I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE. NEITHER THE BRAKE OR ACCELERATOR WAS APPLIED AS I WAS COASTING INTO A SPACE. AS I APPLIED THE BRAKE, THE CAR SPED UP, JUMPED THE CURB AND ACCELERATED INTO THE SIDE OF A BUILDING. ACCORDING TO A WITNESS AND SUPPORTED BY PATTERN OF SKID MARKS, AT ONE POINT THE CAR WAS AIRBORNE. WITH THE DISTANCE OF ABOUT 15 FEET BETWEEN THE CURB AND WALL, THERE WAS LITTLE TIME TO REACT. IN MY ATTEMPT TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, I INJURED MY THUMB. MY PASSENGER SUSTAINED VARIOUS BRUISES FROM THE SEAT BELT AND THE FRONT DASHBOARD. NEITHER THE DRIVER NOR PASSENGER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. ACCORDING TO THE BLACK BOX REPORT, THE CAR ACCELERATED FROM 0-100% IN THE FINAL 5 SECONDS AND THE BRAKE WAS APPLIED AT 10%-55%, YET THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. I DID NOT REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE UNTIL AFTER THE CAR IMPACT, WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY SKID MARKS SHOWN IN PHOTOS. IN AUGUST 2019, FORD MOTOR WAS AWARE OF A TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SHUTTER ISSUE, BUT STILL PROCEEDED WITH SELLING THE CAR TO AN AUCTION. ONE MONTH LATER, I PURCHASED FROM A DEALERSHIP.

TRANSMISSION SLIPS OUT OF GEAR DURING NORMAL CITY DRIVING. I HAVE HAD THE CAR COMPLETELY LOCK UP, BECOME UNABLE TO DRIVE, AND NEEDED TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME I HAVE ENCOUNTERED THIS ISSUE. I'VE HAD THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER RESTARTED, ONE OF THE CLUTCHES REPLACED, THEN A FEW MONTHS AFTER THAT HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN DUE TO "IMMOBILIZER MALFUNCTION" DESIGN FOR THE CAR IS GREAT BUT THE MECHANICS ARE TERRIBLE.

AFTER FILLING UP MY TANK, I LEFT THE GAS STATION AND IMMEDIATELY APPROACHED A RED LIGHT. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP, MY ENGINE RPM DIPPED AND MY VEHICLE STALLED OUT. I HAVE NOTICED RPM DIPPING THAT OCCURS WHEN I STOP AT A RED LIGHT, USUALLY AFTER I ADD FUEL. OTHER THAN THIS STALL EVENT REPORTED, I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANOTHER, BUT THE RPM DIPS DO OCCUR OFTEN, AGAIN, AFTER ADDING GAS OR FILLING MY TANK. THE DIPPING PERSISTS USUALLY FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES AFTER ADDING FUEL. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO RESTART MY CAR RIGHT AWAY WITH NO TROUBLE. RPM DIPPING WAS OBSERVED AT EACH STOP ON MY WAY HOME. INTENSITY OF THE DIP VARIED.

I WAS LEAVING LAS VEGAS, GOING 70 MPH DOWN HILL AND MY CAR STARTED TO LOOSE POWER WHILE IT PRODUCED A LOT OF WHITE SMOKE. I WAS IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND WAS STRANDED FOR 4 HRS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. THE CAR NEVER GAVE SYMPTOMS JUST DIED. NO CHECK ENGINE OR OVERHEATING, OIL, COOLANT. I WAS TRAVELING ON A TRIP SO I DID HAVE LUGGAGE BUT I NEVER MAXED CAR WEIGHT. THE CAR IS 2 YEARS OLD WITH LESS THAN 48,000 MILES. I'VE DONE ALL MY MAINTENANCE ON MY CAR EARLY THAN STICKERS AND DON'T DRIVE HARD. SINCE I'VE HAD THE CAR I'VE ADDED ABOUT 10,000 MILES. BACK TO WHAT HAPPENED, I WAS ABLE TO GET TOWED TO BARSTOW FOR FREE BUT MECHANIC I WAS REFERRED TO WAS CLOSED. FRUSTRATING AND EMOTIONALLY SCARING. I HAD TO CUT A DEAL WITH THE TOW COMPANY TO DRIVE ME AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO MY HOME IN 94536 ZIP AREA. BUT I COULD ONLY AFFORD TO SAN JOSE. THE NEXT DAY I ORDERED ANOTHER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO FREMONT FORD DEALER AND HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IT'S CONVENIENT FOR THEM TO DIAGNOSE IT FOR 179. ON MANY OCCASIONS WHEN MY VEHICLE IN IN MOTION THE CRUISE CONTROL COMES ON WITHOUT ANY PROMPT AND ACCELERATES WHILE TRAVELING ON STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. THIS DEFECTIVE CRUISE CONTROL HAS CAUSED MYSELF AND MY WIFE TO NEARLY HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS FAULTY CRUISE CONTROL. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS FAULTY ERROR IS TO IMMEDIATELY ENGAGE THE FOOT BRAKE PEDAL BUT THIS MAY HAPPEN AGAIN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.

ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER I STARTED EXPERIENCING RANDOM STALLS MAINLY WHILE STOPPED AT RED LIGHTS. I HAVE LOST MY RECALL NOTICE AND WHEN I CONTACTED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER THEY SAID THE VIN ASSOCIATED WITH MY VEHICLE WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. HOWEVER, FORD HAS A PUBLIC RECALL RELATING TO A FUEL PUMP WARNING THE EXACT PROBLEM MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING AND IT IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. FORD REFUSES TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE.

The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling or driving below 20 MPH, the vehicle sputtered and then shut off with the battery and check engine warning lights flashing on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, where the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the VIN. The contact asked for an estimate for a diagnostic test but was denied service. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The manufacturer then referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. I believe that it is the ABS brake system I am bringing it to the ford dealer Thursday. The caliper on the front driver side was not working so I changed it still didn't work fluid go's to the ABS pump but doses not come out of that one. When you use the brakes the front passenger side locks up and slides like it's not going to stop it is really bad when the roads are wet and there were no warning signs. It's going to the dealer Thursday.

This goes with Incidents 11500972 & 11500985 2015 Ford Fiesta SE purchased 2.8.18 Crest Ford in Center Line, MI From my other reports, car has had all kinds of issues. This is 3/5 and these are all ACCIDENTS. In early 2019, I was coming home from a medical appointment in the morning. I was the 4th car, sitting at the busy intersection of 9 Mile and Kelly, which was ON 9 Mile, going West. The light was red. I had my seat belt on, like always, my foot on the brake, looking straight ahead at the light. Suddenly, the car shook, like as if a semi was going by, but no one was moving. And even tho my foot was squarely on the brake, the car took off, like someone had pressed the accelerator peddle! Quickly I pressed as hard as I could down further on the brake, but it didn't matter. The car kind of jumped, then took off, again, like someone was had stomped on the accelerator. I was in the right-most lane, I slammed into the Sedan in front of me, which shoved his car off the road, up the edge, and onto the sidewalk, so I was almost sideways. I was horrified. My air bags did not deploy. The man driving and a 2nd man got out, they were furious, screaming what was wrong with me? I didn't know how to explain that the car took off on its own, while my foot was on the brake! He was yelling and screaming, luckily his air bags didn't do off either. This dented his bumper, but he didn't have insurance, didn't want to get the police involved or make a report, which was fine with me. Since, I have been very cautious stopped at lights, always expecting this to happen again, and it has! Not as dramatically, but sitting stopped, foot on brake, no rhyme or reason, car suddenly jumps, accelerates. I thought I must be going crazy, I've never heard of a car doing this. Well reading the reports of the Ford Fiesta problems, I see other cars doing this too. I won't take it across like a bridge, imagine it accelerating over the side into the Great Lakes. Very dangerous.

Goes with Incidents: 11501018, 11500972 & 11500985 I am 100% Disabled, but work occassionally via SSA Ticket to Work program, for Amazon, using Ford Fiesta to deliver packages. 2.1.22 I bought 4 new tires from Costco. 2.3.22 I was delivering in a rural area, about 3:30PM. It had snowed. I had delivered to a farm, drove back to main road, but on the way, stopped to look at and take photo from car of some cute horses wearing coats. No one around, road pretty flat. As I went to move forward, this is really bad, the road went UP and it was angled, the car again, took off, as in my other report. Luckily I had my seatbelt on. I believe I had just shifted to Drive, foot still on brake, and this car was like I had stomped down on the accelerator. Also luckily, I was not facing those horses! I couldn't believe it, car went flying UP this road, brakes not working, I could steer, it was taking me right towards a BUSY ROAD. My heart was pounding, going UP this angled road, should have stopped the momentum, it did not. I turned the steering wheel, hard, to the right. Somehow as the tracks in the snow showed, the car did go to the right, but it kept going, across the road I was on, to the left side, into a ditch and a bale of hay! This was about 1 house from that main, busy road. With new tires. 1st a FedEx driver saw what happened, asked about the tracks going to one side then the other. He tried to pull me out, but couldn't. Then a nice farmer and his gf stopped, he had a large 4-wheel drive, after an hour, even with shovels, we couldn't get out, he went back home, brought a 2nd truck, some ropes, they slowly dragged me out, away from hay stacks. They also noticed my basic S-curve, I couldn't stop, so I drove into the hay! This Ford did what it did before, took off with no pressure on the accelerator. It was stopped. I certainly didn't stomp down, I was braking and steering. I was stuck in freezing cold for 2+ hours. Then spent $325 on new brakes, rotors.

Goes with Incidents: 11501018, 11501025, 11500972 & 11500985 I am 100% Disabled, but work occasionally via SSA Ticket to Work program, for Amazon, using Ford Fiesta to deliver packages. 9.11.22 at 4:30AM delivering package to [XXX], on North side of road. As I backed out of driveway, now facing East, and busy road, Hiller Rd. I had only just gotten in, NO seatbelt on backing up. Switched from Reverse to Drive, foot still on brake, car took off, as if I'd stomped on accelerator, but my foot was on brake still. Hitting brakes, I flew almost to Hiller Rd., brakes not working, car speeding, steering worked. Tried to slow down, was on South side of road, on people's lawns. Going so fast, I went into ditch, then came up out of ditch! Narrowly avoided mailboxes. Last house before Hiller Rd. on my right, tried to slow down in large lot next door, didn't work. They have huge boulders along edge of grass, I not only slammed into a boulder, but they had chopped down trees too, laid them down along edge of grass with boulders. Car went UP, against gravity, ONTO one of these trees, before hitting the boulder. If you can imagine, from hood to bumper, and further out each end, I was UP, on top of a tree, the bumpers dug into it, so the 4 tires were loose on each side, front hit boulder. Hadn't put on seatbelt yet, my head slammed into steering wheel, airbags didn't deploy again, $400 cell phone screen split, cracked. I hit my head so hard, it knocked me out, I'm not sure how long, seconds to minutes. Came to, was on tree, tried to somehow dig car out, with flashlight and crowbar. Ended up calling Amazon emergency, it was Sunday, too early, not there. Called Geico, then 3 other tow co.'s, after 2 hours Lakeside Towing came by, had to use winch and flatbed, had to chop up tree was on, pull back from boulder. Was stuck there for hours. Phone screen shattered, had to be replaced, pay $125 for a tow, hit head, bumpers, scratched, all b/c this Ford Fiesta. IN NOW IT'S, OVERHEATS AND NO VISIBLE COOLANT LEAK. AND THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.. THE MOTOR MAKES A CLACKING SOUNDS. THE 1.0 TURBOCHARGE 3-CYL TURBO IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. PLUS IT'S ENGINE BAY FUSE BOX SAYS ENGINE FAN IS 60 AMPS IN RECENTLY I NOTICED IT HAS HAD A 40 GAGE AMP. THANK THAT THE UNDER THE HOOD ENGINE FAN. WASN'T PERFORM AT THE RECOMMENDED FUSE.. THIS ALL CAME ABOUT AT 11:30 PM WHEN LEAVING THE WORK PLACE THE CAR WOULD NOT PROVIDE HEATING TO THE DEFROSTERS OR OTHER AREAS AFTER THE ENGINE WAS AT OPERATING TEMP. THE OUTSIDE TEMP WAS AT MINUS SIX AND WIND CHILL BELOW THAT NUMBER.THE CAR WAS DRIVEN HOME A DISTANCE OF FIVE PLUS MILES WITH THE WINDSHIELD FROSTED MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THROUGH. UPON ARRIVAL AT HOME THERE WAS TWO SMALL CLEARED SPOTS THE SIZE OF HALF DOLLARS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD. AFTER HAVING THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER THIS MORNING THEY DETERMINED THE PROBLEM WAS AN ICED CABIN AIR FILTER AND [FROZEN] AS IN ICED FAN BLOWER THEY HAD TO DRY OUT. PER SSM 44942 IN WHICH ENGINEERS AT FORD [ I PRESUME ] WERE INVESTIGATING OR AS STATED ON THE PAPER WORK I RECEIVED FROM THE DEALER, CONCERNED ENGINEERS. THIS FALLS UNDER SAFETY DO TO VISION BEING IMPAIRED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM WHICH APPEARS TO BE KNOWN BY THE MANUFACTURE. THIS CAR WAS ONLY DRIVEN AT THIS LATE TIME OF NIGHT AS TRAFFIC WAS ALMOST NIL AND THE EXTREME WEATHER DICTATED. *TR
