THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

I JUST HAD TO PAY APPROX $700 TO REPLACE MY INTAKE MANIFOLD WHICH CRACKED AND CAUSED A COOLANT LEAK. UPON FIXING THIS ISSUE, I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS WAS A FORD RECALL A FEW YEARS AGO. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED A HOSE WAS DETACHED FROM THE ENGINE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE BYPASS HOSE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL AT THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN THEN STATED THAT THE MANIFOLD WAS FRACTURED AND THE HEAD GASKET WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE MANIFOLD WAS REPLACED BUT NOT THE HEAD GASKET. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE PASSENGER SEAT HAS RARELY BEEN USED IN THIS VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THE WEEK THE SEATBELT FAILED (BECAME JAMMED IN PANEL AS THOUGH I HAD HIT BRAKES AND WOULD NOT RELEASE) I WAS THE DRIVER FOR AN 88 YEAR OLD FEMALE FRIEND RUNNING HER ERRANDS WHILE HER CAREGIVER WAS OUT OF TOWN., THE SEAT BELT WAS USED FOR SEVERAL DAYS. I WENT ON LINE AND FOUND NUMEROUS ARTICLES AND RECALLS. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER. THEY IMPLIED ON THE PHONE IT WOULD BE REPAIRED AT NO CHARGE BECAUSE, ONCE I WAS ON SITE, RENT CAR ARRANGED I WAS TOLD MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE WAS NOT A SPECIFIC RECALL AND INDICATED I MUST PAY. NOW AFTER 5 DAYS OF PAYING FOR A RENT CAR. I WAS INFORMED REPLACEMENT SEATBELT HAD NOT BEEN ORDERED PENDING MY APPROVAL. (PREVIOUSLY IT WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO IT WOULD HAVE TO BE ENTIRELY REPLACED. COST OF SEATBELT $260.42 TOTAL COST TO INSTALL $584.63. MY VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION AS THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I FEEL I HAVE BEEN MISLEAD AND RIPPED OFF BY DEALER. AT THIS POINT I AM PICKING UP THE PART ONLY, TURNING IN THE RENT CAR AND SEEKING A LESS EXPENSIVE INSTALL. THIS IS A WELL DOCUMENTED DEFECT WITH THIS VEHICLE AND COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT WITH NO RESTRAINT FOR MY PASSENGER. *TR

THE FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTORS ARE DEFECTIVE IN DESIGN. THE SEAT BELT TWISTS INSIDE THE RETRACTOR, MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO USE FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE. THE SEAT BELTS WILL NOT RETRACT PROPERLY AND GET STUCK CAUSING PASSENGERS NOT TO BE PROPERLY RESTRAINED. FUEL PUMP BREAKS FREE FROM IN-TANK ATTACHMENT POINT RESULTING IN FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR MALFUNCTION AND FUEL STARVATION WHEN CORNING, ACCELERATION OR ABRUPT DECELERATION. CAUSES UNEXPECTED LAG IN ACCELERATION OR VEHICLE MAY STALL AT INOPPORTUNE TIMES. SINCE ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT OF ENTIRE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY BY FORD THE FUEL SENDER IN THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED/REPLACED 2 ADDITIONAL TIMES. DEALERSHIP NOTED THAT THE PLASTIC RING SENDER ATTACHES TO CRACKS AND ONLY WAY TO REPAIR IS TO REPLACE ENTIRE FUEL TANK AT COST OF APPROX $900. MOST RECENT 2 REPLACEMENTS OCCURRED OUTSIDE OF EXTENDED WARRANTY BY A FEW DAYS AND FORD REFUSED TO REPLACE UNDER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED OVER THE WINTER AND ISSUE WAS NOT DISCOVERED UNTIL VEHICLE CAME OUT OF STORAGE AFTER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. REPAIR HAD OCCURRED IN FALL BEFORE VEHICLE WENT INTO STORAGE. EACH TIME FUEL TANK IS REPLACE RING CRACKS AGAIN, USUALLY WITHIN 30-90DAYS. FORD FUEL FILLER TUBE ASSEMBLY HAS A DEFECT. THE PLASTIC SLEEVE THAT IS "TIE WRAPPED" TO THE TUBE CAUSES THE OUTSIDE OF THE FUEL FILLER TUBE TO COLLECTED MOISTURE AND CORRODE. THIS GOES UNDETECTED UNTIL LARGE QUANTITIES OF GASOLINE ARE DUMPED ONTO THE ROADWAY AFTER FILL UP. THIS HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE AND IN 30 MINUTES OF RESEARCH ON YOUR SITE, I WAS ABLE TO FIND MANY OTHER OCCURRENCES WITH OTHER FORD MODELS. THIS IS AN EXISTING ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER AND A HUGE FIRE/SAFETY HAZARD. DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE PINTO? A SIMPLE FENDER BENDER WITH ONE OF THESE CORRODED TUBES COULD BE DEVASTATING. I WILL BE FILING A SIMILAR COMPLAINT WITH FORD AND THE EPA. IDENTICAL COMPLAINTS FILED WITH NHTSA: 10276760, 10265682, 10253564, 10249748, 10276760, 729302 YOUR SEARCH ENGINE MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEARCH MULTIPLE FORD MODELS AND YEARS FOR THIS PROBLEM - THE ABOVE COMPLAINTS WERE COMPILED IN JUST A FEW MINUTES AND INDICATE TO ME THAT THERE IS SERIOUS PROBLEM - NOT TO MENTION THE $400 + EACH OF THESE OWNERS NEED TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR, THE COST AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF THE UNTOLD GALLONS OF GASOLINE SLOSHING ONTO THE PAVEMENT AND ENGINE DAMAGE FROM CONTAMINANTS ENTERING THE FUEL SYSTEM. ABOUT 6-8 MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED MY 2001 FORD MUSTANG BULLITT MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AND HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED BECAUSE 3 GEAR WOULD NOT ENGAGE WITH EASE OR IT WOULD SLIP.. EVER SINCE THE SHIFTING OF GEARS HAS DETERIORATED.. ALSO THE REAR LEAKS FOR NO APPARENT REASON THE ACCESS NUT SEEMS TO COME LOOSE AND LEAK WITH OUT A CAUSE, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE REAR NUT AND OIL WERE THE DRIVELINE MEETS THE REAR AXLE. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PUT THE CAR IN 1ST OR IN REVERSE SOME TIMES AND WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN 1ST 2ND AND 3RD THE GEARS STICK OR SLIP. I HAD A NUMBER OF ISSUES SINCE DAY ONE WITH THIS CAR AND IT SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN THE SHOP THE FIRST TWO YEARS I OWED IT AND SAT FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR DUE TO MECHANICAL PROBLEM THERE AFTER. I WAS REAR ENDED ONCE WHILE TRYING TO MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN BECAUSE THE CAR SLIPPED OUT OF SECOND GEAR LUCKILY THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN ENOUGH TO ONLY LEAVE HIS LICENSE PLACE SCREWS IMPRINTED IN MY REAR BUMPER AND NO ONE WAS SERIOUSLY HURT JUST STUNNED AND FRIGHTENED. *TR

DRIVING ALONG AND THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE JUST CAME ON AND I DIDN'T TOUCH ANYTHING. THE WHEELS FELT LIKE THEY HAD LOCKED UP AND WERE SCREECHING ON THE DRIVEWAY. THERE WERE BLACK MARKS ON THE DRIVEWAY FROM THE TIRES. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A FORD DEALER, THEY CHECKED IT AND TOLD ME THE SHIFT MOTOR AND GEM MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED. ALSO TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A TSB ON THE PROBLEM. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANT. AFTER READING ABOUT THIS I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER THIS AND THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL NOT COVER THIS PROBLEM. THE FORD MOTOR CO. HAS SAID THAT THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM IN THE 99-2001 EXPEDITIONS AND F250 LD AND F-150 AND LINCOLN 99-2001 NAVIGATOR. THEY ALSO HAVE SAID WHAT THE NEW PART NUMBER THAT IT SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH. I WOULD THINK IF I WAS DRIVING 65 MPH AND THE 4X4L COMES ON I COULD GET INTO A MAJOR ACCIDENT, SINCE YOU ARE ONLY SUPPOSED TO GO 30 MPH OR LESS IN 4X4L. I HAVE NOT YET HAD THE CAR REPAIRED. THE TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE AND REVERSE WENT OUT WHILE WE WERE ON VACATION. I WAS ABLE TO START GOING IN 2ND GEAR AND THEN SHIFT TO DRIVE TO GO UNTIL I GOT HOME. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. BOB TOMES FORD SAID THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. THIS SEEMS A LITTLE BIT RIDICULOUS SINCE MY VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED. WE BOUGHT IT NEW. I HAVE ALWAYS DRIVEN A FORD AND HAVE DRIVEN OTHER ONES WELL INTO THE 100,000 MILE RANGE WITH NEVER A PROBLEM. IT IS NOW SITTING UP AT FORD GETTING REPAIRED. IT HAS 65,000 MILES ON IT. *JB

I WAS LOSING A LARGE AMOUNT OF FUEL EVERY TIME I FILLED UP. THE LEAK STARTS IMMEDIATELY UPON TURNING ON THE FUEL NOZZLE. I AM ALSO EXPERIENCING A CHECK FUEL CAP WARNING AND A LOW PRESSURE IN THE FUEL SYSTEM. THIS HAS CAUSED THE CAR TO NOT START AND SEVERAL BACKFIRES WHEN IT DOES TURN OVER. THERE IS ALSO FUEL LEAKING DIRECTLY ONTO MY EXHAUST PIPE AT EVERY FILL UP WHICH COULD CAUSE A FIRE. THIS LEAK WAS CAUSED BY THE PLASTIC COVER OVER THE METAL FILLER NECK. MOISTURE AND DIRT CAUGHT IN THE PLASTIC CAUSED THE METAL TO ERODE AND BREAK A PART.

I SMELLED STRONG GASOLINE ODORS WHILE DRIVING FROM WORK. THE CAR HAD BEEN FILLED WITH FUEL RECENTLY. THE FUEL TANK IS LEAKING NEAR THE FILL TUBE. FURTHER RESEARCH INTO THIS ISSUE HAS SHOWN THAT IT IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THIS MODEL. THE CAR CANNOT BE FILLED ABOVE HALF FULL OR GASOLINE LEAKS ALL OVER THE BACK OF THE CAR AND ON THE GROUND ONCE PARKED. THIS LEAK IS TOO NEAR THE EXHAUST PIPE FOR SAFETY. FORD DOES NOT REPAIR THIS SAFETY ISSUE UNDER ANY RECALL. IT IS A CHEAP PART BUT LABOR IS VERY EXPENSIVE SINCE THE FUEL TANK MUST BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE LEAK. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD MUSTANG EQUIPPED WITH HANKOOK TIRES, TIRE LINE: VENTUS V2 EVO2, TIRE SIZE: 275/35/R18, DOT NUMBER: 5MRKYBH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TIRES WERE PURCHASED IN MARCH OF 2020 AND INSTALLED IN APRIL OF 2020. AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 3,000 MILES, THE TIRES SHOWED EXCESSIVE UNEVEN TREAD WEAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED THE STATE INSPECTION DUE TO THE TREAD WEAR FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDED THAT THE TIRES BE INSPECTED BY AN AUTHORIZED HANKOOK DISTRIBUTOR. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE EXCESSIVE TREAD WEAR WAS NOT DUE TO A TIRE MANUFACTURING DEFECT BUT AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. WE HAVE HAD THREE INCIDENTS INVOLVING TWO VEHICLES IN WHICH WHEELS HAVE COME OFF OF FORD F-550 VEHICLES DUE TO SHEARED LUG BOLTS. THE WEIGHTS OF ALL OF OUR VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECORDED AND FALL BELOW THE MANUFACTURERS GVWR. PER A TIRE COMPANY'S RECOMMENDATION, WE HAVE ISSUED A MANDATE THAT ALL SIMILAR VEHICLES HAVE THEIR WHEELS RE-TORQUED, TO MEET THE MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS AFTER DRIVING, AFTER TRAVELING 50 MILES FOLLOWING ANY WORK DONE ON THE WHEELS. WE HAVE HAD THE WHEELS ON VEHICLE THAT DID NOT COME OFF INSPECTED AND CHECKED TO PROPER TORQUE FOLLOWING ALL INCIDENTS AND THEY HAVE BEEN TORQUED APPROPRIATELY. THE INCIDENT DATES WERE, 12/29/07 ,02/15/08, AND 07/17/08 . ON 12/29/07 AN EMPLOYEE WAS DRIVING UP A ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 20 M.P.H. WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE BACK DUAL WHEELS CAME OFF DUE TO BROKEN LUG BOLTS. THIS WAS A NORMAL USE OF THE VEHICLE ON A WELL-MAINTAINED DIRT ROAD. ON 02/15/08 TWO EMPLOYEES WERE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 84 TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 M.P.H. WHEN THE REAR PASSENGER WHEELS CAME OFF THE VEHICLE AND PASSED THE VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY TRAVELING MILE. THE STUDS WERE ALSO SHEARED OFF IN THIS INSTANCE. THE INTERSTATE WAS IN GOOD CONDITION AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. IT WAS VERY FORTUNATE THAT THE TIRES DID NOT STRIKE ANOTHER VEHICLE. ON 07/17/08 AN EMPLOYEE WAS DRIVING ON OREGON STATE HIGHWAY 82 AT APPROXIMATELY 55 M.P.H. WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEELS CAME OFF. THE WHEELS STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE DAMAGING THAT VEHICLE?S BRAKE SYSTEM. IN THIS CASE, A FATALITY COULD HAVE EASILY OCCURRED TO THE OTHER DRIVER. THE FILL TUBE BETWEEN THE FUEL TANK AND THE NOZZLE INPUT HAS RUSTED THRU THE ENTIRE LENGTH, WORST UNDER THE PLASTIC/RUBBER WRAP AT THE TANK INLET, CAUSING FUEL TO SPILL ONTO THE GROUND WHEN FILLING THE TANK. DEALER ESTIMATES REPAIR COST AT $340. ON LINE INQUIRIES REVEALED "MANY-MANY" OTHER COMPLAINTS. NO FORD RECALLS OR SERVICE BULLETINS. IF PARKED FOR A FEW DAYS , THE BATTERY RUNS DOWN. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE FISHTAILED FROM SIDE TO SIDE WHICH MADE THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION; HOWEVER THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE LINE AND THE LATERAL ARM SUPPORT BRACKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED HOWEVER, NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE.

9/8/05 MY HUSBAND CALLED VARSITY FORD ABOUT RECALL OF RE: CRUISE ON EXPEDITION 9/9/05 AS INSTRUCTED, I TOOK EXPEDITION TO VARSITY FOR REPAIR. ON WAY HOME NOTICED CRUISE DOES NOT WORK. MY HUSBAND HAD BEEN TOLD THIS WOULD BE A REPAIR NOT A DISCONNECT SO HE CALLED VARSITY. HE WAS TOLD I WOULD NEED AN APPT. TO CHECK THE CRUISE. I CALLED TO MAKE THE APPT. AND STATED SINCE THE CRUISE WORKED FINE BEFORE THE RECALL WORK, VARSITY WOULD NOT CHARGE ME TO GET IT WORKING AGAIN. I WAS TOLD,"NO. PROBABLY THE CRUISE MODULE HAS BLOWN." VARSITY REP, MONTY GUY STATED WOULD DO THE CHECK FOR FREE BUT TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPAIRS. I STATED THE CRUISE WORKED FINE BEFORE THE RECALL WORK. I WAS AGAIN TOLD VARSITY WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY PARTS GOING OUT FROM RECALL WORK. I CALLED FORD MOTOR. I WAS TOLD TO HAVE THE CHECK FOR FREE AND IF THE HARNESS IS LOOSE THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE, BUT FORD TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO THE VEHICLE BY THE DEALER. THIS IS A SCAM. PEOPLE, SUCH AS MYSELF, ARE TAKING THEIR VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALERS IN GOOD FAITH FOR YOUR RECALL ONLY TO GET A DAMAGED VEHICLE BACK. THERE IS A RATTLING, BANGING NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. IT ONLY DID IT AT FIRST WHEN I WAS SLOWING DOWN WITH AND WITHOUT THE BRAKES. IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH THE CAR IS FALLING APART. I TOOK IT TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HEARD THE NOISE BUT IT WAS NOTHING MECHANICAL AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS COMING FROM. THEY TOLD ME THEY CHECKED ALL OF THE PARTS UNDER WARRANTY AND IT WASN'T THAT. THEY TOLD ME THAT IF I WANTED THEM TO CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR THE PROBLEM, THEY WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE ME BY THE HOUR. ON FEB. 24TH, 2001, I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITH ONLY 21 MILES SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER. I TOOK THE VEHICLE HOME AND THE NEXT DAY, I CRANKED THE AUTO AND THE SERVICE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE DAY WAS SUNDAY AND THE DEALERSHIP, NOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, WERE OPEN. I WAITED UNTIL MONDAY MORNING TO DRIVE THE CAR, AND THEN WENT STRAIGHT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID THE CATALYTIC SENSOR WAS ACTING UP AND THEY WOULD TURN THE LIGHT OFF AND THAT SHOULD FIX IT. HOWEVER, IF THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, I WAS TO BRING THE CAR BACK. I HAD TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK A TOTAL OF THREE TIMES, DUE TO THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT. I WAS TOLD AFTER THE SECOND REPLACEMENT OF A SENSOR IN THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR, THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN GIVEN BAD GAS BEFORE I HAD PURCHASED IT, CAUSING THEM, THE SERVICE REPAIRMEN, TO HAVE TO COMPLETELY TAKE APART THE FUEL SYSTEM AND CLEAN IT FROM ENGINE TO EXHAUST. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED UNTIL AFTER THEY COMPLETELY REPLACED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR. INFORMATION WAS WITHHELD CONCERNING REPAIR TO THE VEHICLE BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. THE REPLACEMENT WAS FINALLY COMPLETED BY APRIL 15TH, 2001. MY NEXT PROBLEM OCCURED ON JULY 13TH, 2001. I WAS RETURNING FROM A TRIP TO COLORADO WITH MY FATHER, WHEN AS WE WERE TRAVELING, I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THEN FELT WATER HIT MY FOOT. I HAD BEEN RIDING ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AT THE TIME. WHEN I NOTICED THE WATER, I LOOKED TOWARD THE FLOORBOARD AND ALSO FOUND THAT THE DASHBOARD HAD SHIFTED TO THE LEFT AND FALLEN FROM THE WINDOW. WE ARRIVED AT HOME LATER THAT DAY AND I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO BRING IT IN AND DO A COMPLETE ONCE OVER TO SEE WHAT HAD CAUSED THE LEAKING. I TOOK IT IN ON JULY 17TH. I WAS TOLD THEY HAD FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE DASH OR COULD NOT FIND A LEAK. I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK A TOTAL OF 6 TIMES THUS FAR FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THREE FOR THE FRONT END. *AK

IN FIRST COMPLAINT REGARDING SUSPENSION ARM BOLTS WAS TOLD THIS STUFF HAPPENS, IN REGARDS TO THE WATER LEAKAGE IN EXHAUST, WAS TOLD THAT IS NORMAL. I FEEL IT ISN'T NORMAL WHEN IT IS POURING DOWN MY DRIVEWAY. THEY DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. HAD TIRES ROTATED THEN GOT A FLAT TIRE AND THEY CROSS THREADED THE LUG NUTS AND THE BOLT HAD TO BE BROKEN OFF TO REPAIR THE FLAT TIRE.*AK

MY V6 MUSTANG STALLS WHILE IN MOTION CAUSING THE STEERING AND BRAKES TO FREEZE. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DEADLY PROBLEM. IT HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES; ONCE AT 30 MPH, 60 MPH, 45 MPH, AND 40 MPH. THE CAR ONLY HAS 4500 MILES ON IT. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A HEATER DISPLAY LIGHT GOING OUT. DEALERSHIP CAN'T IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF EITHER OF THESE PROBLEMS. IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP FOUR TIMES FOR THE STALLLING AND THEY'VE BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE NOTHING. I HAVE ANXIETY WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AS IT STALLS OUT AT ANY TIME WITH NO WARNING WHATSOEVER. ABS light came on, sometimes when braking/slowing down at freeway speeds, the brakes won't catch and it feels like I'm going to ram into the cars ahead, I've replaced the rotors, the calipers, the brakes, the wheel bearings, ABS light won't go away, I've looked into it on the bullitt community forums, and this is a common problem that most just decide to live with, cause no solution has been found.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD MUSTANG. AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE, A FUEL LEAK WAS DISCOVERED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS EXAMINED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DISCOVERED THAT A RUBBER WASHER IN THE FUEL SYSTEM WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE WASHER WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. I HAVE A 2001 FORD MUSTANG V6 CONVERTIBLE. FORD HAS A DEFECT ON THEIR DPFE SENSOR FOR THEIR EMISSION EGR FLOW. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM IN FORD MUSTANGS. EVERY PERSON I KNOW WHO OWNS A 99-01 HAS HAD TO CHANGE THEIR DPFE SENSOR, SPENDING THEIR OWN MONEY FOR FORD'S DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. EVEN THE LOCAL ROCK RIVER FORD DEALERSHIP PARTS DEPT. TOLD ME THAT FORD HAS A BIG DEFECT ON THIS, AND THEY SHOULD HAVE RECALLED THE PROBLEM. FORD HAS A FAULTY DPFE SENSOR ON THEIR MUSTANGS. DEALER ALSO STATED MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED REPLACING AS IT HAD LEAKED ALL FLUID OUT OF SYSTEM. NEEDED TO BLEED SYSTEM AND REPLACE CALIPER. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE DISPUTE SETTLEMENT BOARD AND THE KS ATTORNEY GENERAL WITH NO POSITIVE OUTCOME. ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON, GASOLINE FUMES IN VEHICLE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, WHO FOUND FUEL INJECTORS WERE LOCKED IN OPEN POSITION, GAS WAS FLOODING THE SYSTEM. THIS DESTROYED CATALYTIC CONVERTER. CONSUMER FOUND OUT THAT VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED AT DEALERSHIP BEFORE SHE PURCHASED VEHICLE FOR SAME PROBLEM. COMPUTER READOUT FROM FIRST REPAIR SAID: VEHICLE NOT RUNNING RIGHT. CONSUMER FELT SHE DID NOT RECEIVE A NEW VEHICLE AS IT WAS REPAIRED, AND SHE HAD NOT BEEN TOLD. *AK
