I bought the car on Dec 20th 2024. The dealership informed me of the recall and turned off the passenger side airbag. I returned to the dealership as scheduled about 2 weeks later. When I went to pick up my car after work the service center said they couldn't fix the problem because the airbag didn't exist and sent me on my way. I tried calling the sales person but had to leave a message. There has been no other communication.

TAKATA RECALL I TOOK MY FORD MUSTANG TO CAPITAL FORD, 4222 OLEANDER DR, WILMINGTON, NC, 28403 ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO FOR SERVICE. THE SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE AIR BAGS FOR PASSENGER SIDE RECALL AND WOULD ORDER ONE AND CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WHEN IT CAME IT. I CALLED THE FORD DEALER AGAIN YESTERDAY ABOUT THE AIRBAG AND SPOKE WITH ANOTHER PERSON, A FEMALE IN THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I ASKED ABOUT SCHEDULING THE AIR BAG REPLACEMENT AND SHE LOOKED UP MY RECORD OF SERVIE AT THEIR DEALERSHIP. ASTONISHINGLY, THE AIRBAG HAD NEVER BEEN ORDERED. THE ORIGINAL SERVICE ADVISOR CLEARLY COULD CARE A LESS IF THE BAG BLEW UP SPEWING SHRAPNEL IN MY PASSENGERS FACES, HOW GROSSLY NEGLIGENT. THE WOMAN SAID THEY WERE OUT OT AIRBAGS AND WOULD HAVE TO ORDER ONE AND SOMEONE FROM THE DEPARTMENT WOULD CALL ME BACK ABOUT IT AND ANOTHER UNRELATED ISSUE. INCREDIBLY, NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK. IT IS CLEAR THIS DEALERSHIP IS ONLY INTERESTED IN HIGH DOLLAR REPAIRS TAKING UP APPOINTMENT TIMES AND COULD CARE A LESS ABOUT THE EXPLODING AIR BAG DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THEY SOLD BECAUSE THEY CAN'T CHARGE FOR IT. I THINK THIS NEGLIGENCE AND CONTINUOUS KICKING THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD IS POLICY. THE DEALER HAS A MONOPOLY AND IS THE ONLY FORD DEALERSHIP IN THE CITY SO THEY CAN USE THAT ADVANTAGE TO BULLY CUSTOMERS AND REFUSE TO REPAIR DEADLY DEFECTS. I THINK AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS IS WARRANTED TO SEE JUST HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE BEING GIVEN THE "OH WE'LL HAVE TO ORDER IT AND CALL YOU BACK TO SCHEDULE IT" LIE. THIS IS CLEARLY IMMORAL AND REFLECTIVE OF THE OWNER'S GREED AND INDECENCY. SINCE THE ORIGINAL SERVICE ADVISOR FAILED TO ORDER MY REPLACEMENT AIRBAG MORE TYPES OF CARS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE RECALL. IT IS PLAINLY EVIDENT THAT THE OMISSION BY THIS COMPANY IS AN UNFAIR AND DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICE SERIOUSLY DETRIMENTAL TO THE CONSUMER ACTING REASONABLY UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to first gear and the vehicle's rear tires ceased. Additionally, the speedometer failed. The air bag warning light, the traction control warning light and the check engine warning light were illuminated. The contact used an OBD reader and read the DTC code P0720. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V248000 (Power Train). The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the vehicle started to jerk and downshifted. The contact then stated that the speedometer and RPM’s started to fluctuate rapidly. All the warning lights were illuminated. As a result, the contact crashed into a metal road post and a tree. No injuries were sustained. No medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission seized and needed to be replaced. The contact owns a 2012 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the rear wheels locked up and the speedometer displayed 0 MPH. The vehicle started sliding sideways, causing the contact to almost lose control of the vehicle. The contact was able to veer to the side of the roadway. The contact then pulled into the nearest gas station, parked, and turned off the vehicle. The contact resumed driving; however, the failure reoccurred while driving 40 MPH. The vehicle was towed to an unknown dealer who informed the contact that they could not diagnose the vehicle as the transmission specialist was not available. The contact drove to his residence. The vehicle was towed to a second dealer where it was being diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist as the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V248000 (Power Train). The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

THE PAINT ON THE HOOD STARTING AT THE SEAM ON THE UNDERSIDE STARTED BUBBLING LIKE IT WAS RUSTING UNDERNEATH AND HAS SPREAD UP & AROUND ON THE TOP OF THE HOOD. THE PAINT IS NOW STARTING TO CRACK AND FALL OFF. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO FORD DEALERSHIP COLLISION CENTER AND TO AN INDEPENDENT COLLISION CENTER AND BOTH ADVISED THE HOOD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND PAINTED. BOTH ADVISED THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND APPEARS TO BE SOME TYPE OF CONTAMINATION THAT OCCURS WHEN THE SEAM IS SEALED. THE QUOTES FOR THIS REPAIR ARE FOR $3400 & $3300. WHILE A 2012, OUR MUSTANG HAS BEEN KEPT UNDER A COVER AND ONLY HAS 24,000 MILES ON IT.

ON MARCH 27, 2015, I BROUGHT MY MUSTAND TO FORD BECAUSE I DISCOVERED ON THE HOOD OF MY CAR, THAT THE PAINT WAS BUBBLING/COMING APART FROM THE HOOD. ON APRIL 7, 2015, THE FORD DEALER REPAINTED MY HOOD. THEN, I NOTICED AGAIN BUT THIS TIME, IN MORE THAN ONE AREA OF MY HOOD THAT THE PAINT WAS LIFTING OFF OF THE HOOD. I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY BUT THEY WERE RELUCTANT TO REPLACE THE HOOD OR REPAINT AT NO COST. MY MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN DURING THE "WARRANTY PERIOD" AS IN THE MANUAL HOWEVER, THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT CORRECTED SINCE IT RETURNED AGAIN.

NO GUARANTY THAT THIS WILL FIX PROBLEM FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAS DONE NOTHING TO CORRECT IT. OUT OF POCKET MONEY FOR A CAR THAT IS COVERED, AND GARAGE KEPT. IN 2012 OR 2013 I HAD AN ACCIDENT CAUSED BY UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. THE MUSTANG RAN INTO THE BACK OF SEMI TRUCK. UNATTENDED ACCELERATION HAPPENED TWICE IN THE SAME DAY AND THE SECOND TIME I COULD NOT GET IT TO BREAK FREE AND STOP UNTIL THE LAST SECOND BUT IT WAS TOO LATE IT HIT THE SEMI TRUCK TRAILER IN FRONT OF ME. THIS WAS INSPITE OF ME HAVING BOTH FEET PUSHING STRONGLY ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. WE HAD STARTED OFF SLOWLY FROM A RED LIGHT AND THEN THE CAR DOWNSHIFTED AND TOOK OFF. SOUTHWEST FORD IN WEATHERFORD, TX HAD CALLED THE FORD ENGINEER TO COME LOOK AT IT. IT TOOK A MONTH FOR HIM TO COME. HE LOOKED AT IT IN ITS BANGED UP SHAPE AND DECLARED THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. WHEN I GOT THE CAR BACK SOMETHING HAD CHANGED. IT SEEMED LIKE THE SOFTWARE HAD BEEN CHANGED BECAUSE IT NEVER HAD THE PROBLEM AGAIN AND WHENEVER THE BRAKE WAS TOUCHED IT WOULD KILL ANY ACCELERATION IMMEDIATELY. ALSO I LOST ABOUT 3 MILES PER GALLON TILL THIS DAY. THE ENGINEER BLAMED ME WHEN HE OBVIOUSLY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE. WHILE DRIVING OVER ROUGH OR UNEVEN PAVEMENT, A VERY AUDIBLE RATTLE CAN BE HEARD COMING FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE, MOST NOTICEABLY WITH THE STEERING CENTERED. THE CAR ALSO HAS SOME UNSTABLE CHARACTERISTICS, TENDING TO PULL MUCH MORE STRONGLY TOWARDS ANY LINES OR CROWNS THAN NORMAL. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL DEALER, WHERE THEY WERE ABLE TO ISOLATE THE NOISE TO THE FRONT LEFT CORNER OF THE CAR WITH "CHASSIS EARS", BUT COULD NOT DETERMINE THE SOURCE OF THE NOISE. ALL FRONT END COMPONENTS WERE REPLACED, HOWEVER THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. FORD ENGINEERS WERE CONTACTED, AND REPORTED BACK THAT THE NOISE WAS NORMAL AND THE CAR WAS RETURNED UNREPAIRED. LOWER CONTROL ARMS ON BOTH SIDES WERE REPLACED UNDER TSB 13-9-3. SERVICE DESCRIPTION READS: "FRONT SUSPENSION TECH XXXX VERIFIED CUSTOMER CONCERN AND FOUND THE THERE (SIC) IS A NOISE FOUND IN LEFT FRONT WHEN ON A GRAVEL ROAD. USED CHASSIS EAR AND FOUND LEFT FRONT HYDRO BUSHING TO MAKE NOISE. REPLACED LEFT FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM PER TSB 13-9-3 OP CODE 130903A. ALSO FOUND LEFT OUTER TIE ROD BOLT STRETCHED. REPLACED LEFT FRONT TIE ROD AND PERFORMED 2 WHEEL ALIGNMENT. NOISE IS STILL PRESENT. CHECKED WITH HOTLINE, NOISE IS CHARACTERISTIC. DROVE ANOTHER LIKE CAR AND FOUND NOISE IS CHARACTERISTIC." THE PROBLEM HAS CONTINUED TO BECOME WORSE, AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BECOME INVOLVED. RETURNED TO LOCAL DEALER, SAID THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO, AND THAT THE NOISE AND INSTABILITY IS NORMAL. NO OTHER DEALER WITHIN 100 MILES WILL LOOK AT THE VEHICLE, AND THE PROBLEM HAS SINCE GONE UNREPAIRED.

THROTTLE BODY MALFUNCTION - CAUSES LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING. ACTS AS THOUGH YOU TOOK YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL. ENGINE WILL NOT REV ABOVE IDLE SPEED. CHECK-ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. IF YOU STOP, TURN OFF THE CAR, AND RE-START, IT WILL BE OK FOR A WHILE. IT HAPPENED TO ME TWICE IN 2 WEEKS. PART WAS REPLACED, BUT THE NEW PART FAILED AGAIN IN 16 MONTHS. HAD THAT REPLACED THIS WEEK. (MAY '17). I AM AWARE OF FORD CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 16B23, BUT THE DEALER SAID MY VIN WAS NOT ONE OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES. I BEG TO DIFFER.

ON AUGUST 1, 2016, AT APPROXIMATELY 7:30 P.M., I WAS DRIVING SOUTH ON U.S, HIGHWAY 1 (Y,S, HIGHWAY 2 IS A 3-LANE ROAD). SUDDENLY, MY VEHICLE LOST THE POSER TO ACCELERATE. I WAS PANICKED, AS THERE WAS TRAFFIC BEHIND ME AND TO MY LEFT SIDE. I COULD DO NOTHING TO STOP THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION. FORTUNATELY, MY FRIEND AS FOLLOWING ME AND WAS IMMEDIATELY AWARE THAT I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM. MY FRIEND IMMEDIATELY PUT ON HIS EMERGENCY FLASHERS; AS I SLOWED, I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE AND COAST INTO A FILLING STATION. AT THIS TIME, I NOTICED TWO THINGS; THE CAR RAN ROUGHLY AT A VERY SLOW SPEED AND A WRENCH SYMBOL APPEARED ON THE DASH. I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO A SAFE LOCATION ON THE FILLING STATION LOT. MY FRIEND SEARCHED FOR THE SYMBOL IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL WHICH INDICATED THERE WAS A THROTTLE CONTROL PROBLEM AND I SHOULD CONTACT MY DEALER IMMEDIATELY. AT THIS TIME, I CALLED AAA AND WAS ADVISED THAT A TOW TRUCK WOULD BE THERE IN APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR AND A HALF. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED, I COMPLETED THE PAPERWORK AND THE CAR WAS TAKE TO PARADISE FORD WHERE I PURCHASED IT IN 2012. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, FORD CALLED ME AND DIAGNOSED IT AS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY AND REPLACED IT. SOME RESEARCH INDICATED THAT A TSB HAD BEEN ISSUED TO FORD DEALERS ABOUT THE MALFUNCTION OF THIS ITEM. BECAUSE IN MY CASE, THIS WAS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUE, I FEEL FORD SHOULD HAVE NOTIFIED ME AND GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE IT REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. AS A RESULT OF THIS, I WAS CHARGED $621 FOR THE REPAIR. TO REITERATE, THE MAIN ISSUE HERE IS THAT IN AN UNSAFE SITUATION DUE TO, WHAT I PERCEIVE, AS THE FORD DEALER'S NEGLIGENCE.

INTERMITTENTLY, WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THE VEHICLE WILL GO INTO 'LIMP HOME MODE'. THE 'WRENCH' TROUBLE LIGHT ILLUMINATES ON THE DASH. THE 'WRENCH LIGHT IS NO LONGER LIT AND NO ENGINE CODE IS STORED. MY MECHANIC CANNOT TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM BECAUSE NO ENGINE ERROR CODE IS STORED. RESEARCH ON-LINE POINTS TO DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY AS THE CULPRIT WITH REPLACEMENT AS THE SOLUTION. FORD SHOULD ADD THE MUSTANG TO ITS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM FOR DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODIES. I UNDERSTAND SOME 1.6 MILLION VEHICLES ARE ALREADY ON THIS LIST. THE PROBLEM BEGAN FOR ME ABOUT A YEAR AGO AROUND THE 18K MILE MARK AND THE VEHICLE NOW HAS ABOUT 22K MILES ON IT, IS METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED AND CARED FOR. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS DEFECT THAT WE, AS OWNERS, COULD AT LEAST ADDRESS PROPERLY IF THERE WAS AN ENGINE ERROR CODE REPORTED. I AM GOING TO HAVE THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED AT MY OWN EXPENSE BASED ON WHAT OTHERS HAVE REPORTED, SINCE THERE IS NO KNOWN FIX FROM FORD. I DID REPORT THIS TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY 04/23/2016. THEY CONFIRMED THEY ARE UNAWARE OF ANY PROBLEM WITH MUSTANG THROTTLE BODIES. I RECOMMEND THAT FORD PUT SOME ENGINEERS ON THIS AND REMEDY THE PROBLEM. IN THE MEANTIME, WE MUSTANG OWNERS WITH CARS OUT OF WARRANTY ARE HAVING TO FEND FOR OURSELVES.

Down shifting in to first and reverse problems nothing wrong with transmission

Speedometer went down to zero going 55mph. Car thought it was going 0 MPH, which causes transmission to go into first gear . Car reved awfully and had almost caused an accident both times this has happened to me. scanned the codes and it gives me p0722, common problem with these exact year mustangs and many other vehicles. Dealership denied my warranty to replace molded lead frame in transmission which causes this issue. This has already been a warranty extension and recall on many of these exact same cars and I do not know why mine doesn’t qualify. This is a huge safety issue and I’m left to fend for myself according to ford even though it is their products fault.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed however, the vehicle failed to exceed 50 MPH while the RPM decreased to 0. The check engine warning light and several other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that either the input shaft speed sensor or the output shaft speed sensor needed to be replaced. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that his vehicle could not be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V248000 (Power Train) because the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 153,000.

I OWN A 2012 FORD MUSTANG AND RECENTLY HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL. IT WAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS OUTLINED IN FORD'S CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 16B23 (HTTPS://FORD.OEMDTC.COM/2670/16B23-ELECTRONIC-THROTTLE-BODY-REPLACEMENT-2011-2012-FORD-LINCOLN/5). I HAVE A 2012 3.7L V6 MUSTANG THAT I BELIEVE SHOULD HAVE FALLEN UNDER THIS PROGRAM. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY MAIL OR EMAIL NOTIFYING ME OF THIS PROGRAM, ALTHOUGH I HAD LIVED AT THE SAME ADDRESS FOR AS LONG AS I HAD OWNED THE CAR AND PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED AN AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE, SO I KNOW FORD HAS MY ADDRESS. I WAS ALSO AT MY DEALER FOR SERVICE APPOINTMENTS (THE SAME DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR) DURING THE PROGRAM TIME PERIOD AND THEY NEVER NOTIFIED ME EITHER. LONG STORY SHORT, I JUST HAD TO PAY A LITTLE OVER $400 TO HAVE MY LOCAL FORD DEALER REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY. I ASKED ABOUT THIS PROGRAM AND WAS TOLD BECAUSE IT WAS OUTSIDE OF THE PROGRAM END DATE THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. MY QUESTION IS, WHY DIDN'T FORD CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS PROGRAM IF MY CAR WAS COVERED? IF MY CAR WASN'T COVERED, HOW DID FORD DISTINGUISH BETWEEN WHICH CARS WERE WORTHY OF BEING IN THE PROGRAM AND WHICH WEREN'T? THIS WAS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME AS THE CAR RANDOMLY LOST POWER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. ONE TIME I WAS DOING 50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WITH ALOT OF TRAFFIC AROUND ME. DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN A STRAIGHT LINE UNDER DRY CONDITIONS AT ABOUT A CONSTANT 30 MPH, THE CAR STARTED PULSING THE FRONT CORNER BRAKES. THIS MORNING WHILE DRIVING MY CAR TOTALLY SHUT DOWN NOSE DIVED AND TURNED RIGHT BACK ON. WHEN IT RETURNED TO POWER THE ADVANCTRAC SYSTEM HAD TOTALLY SHUT. THE WHEEL WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN DUE TO THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM SHUTTING DOWN. HAD THIS BEEN IN A CORNER AT SPEED ON A HIGHWAY I WOULD HAVE CERTAINLY LEFT THE ROAD. UPON INVESTIGATING MY CAR I FOUND A BLOWN 100AMP FUSE BY MY BATTERY. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. ALL ANYONE NEEDS TO DO IS HIT THE INTERNET AND SEE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THIS EXACT ISSUE WITH THIS CAR. BE IT FROM THE FUSE OR SOMETHING ELSE THIS SHUTDOWN IS FREQUENT. Recently started having erratic shifting issues. Will downshift randomly out of nowhere while driving. Sometimes will just be stuck in 1st gear and won’t go anywhere until I pull over and shut off/start up again. Dangerous because I never know when it will do it. Might seem like everything is fine and then all of a sudden, it downshifts and loses power. Rpm’s rise but car has no power. Have to figure out how to get out of the way. As stated in ford’s “ Customer Satisfaction Program 16N02,” my 2012 has all the symptoms and I have DTC code P0731 but dealer refused to service my vehicle because it doesn’t show up with my VIN, even though it’s a 2012 and I clearly need my Molded Leadframe replaced.

VEHICLE TURNED RIGHT FROM A STOP, ONTO A TEXAS STATE HIGHWAY. SHIFTING MANUALLY FROM FIRST GEAR TO SECOND GEAR, THE VEHICLE WENT OUT OF CONTROL (APPARENTLY DUE TO LOSS OF TRACTION BECAUSE THERE WAS A COATING OF FINE SAND ON THE TIRES). THE VEHICLE CROSSED 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC, AND IN DOING SO, WENT INTO A ROLL-OVER, REPORTS STATING THE VEHICLE ROLLED 4 TIMES, AND STRIKING A UTILITY POLL THAT STOPPED THE ROLL. THE UTILITY POLL WAS STRUCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, BY THE WINDSHIELD PILLAR, CAUSING TERRIFIC DAMAGE AND CAVE IN. THE UTILITY POLL WAS BROKEN, ALMOST SNAPPED IN HALF (THE UTILITY POLE WAS REPLACED). WHILE THERE WAS NO PASSENGER OTHER THAN THE DRIVER, THE ONLY AIRBAG IN THE CAR THAT DEPLOYED WAS THE DRIVER SIDE CURTAIN. THE SEVERITY OF THE CRASH WOULD INDICATE THAT ALL OF THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED, TO SHIELD THE DRIVER AND POTENTIAL PASSENGERS. DRIVER ALSO WENT INTO THE WINDSHIELD, THE STEERING WHEEL BAG NOT DEPLOYING. POTENTIAL BACK SEAT RIDERS SHOULD BE PROTECTED IN SUCH A DEVASTATING CRASH AS WELL. The contact owns a 2012 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the front windshield wipers independently activated. There were no warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the front windshield wiper fluid reservoir failed to drain the excess water as intended. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to the cost. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic for a second opinion, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the windshield wiper motor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired at the consumer's expense; however, after 3 months the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same local independent mechanic for the windshield wiper motor replacement. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

DURING AN EVENING RAIN STORM I EXPERIENCED THAT MY VISIBILITY OF THE ROAD WAS IMPAIRED DUE TO WHERE MY WIPERS STOPPED ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE PASSENGER SIDE WIPER STOPS DIRECTLY IN THE DRIVERS FIELD OF VIEW BEFORE RETURNING TO ITS PARKED POSITION. THE RAINWATER, WIPER BLADE, AND SKID RESIDUE FROM THE WIPER, CREATE A VISUALLY BLURRED AREA ON THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING AN UNCLEAR VIEW OF THE ROAD FOR A FEW SECONDS. I HAVE DISCOVERED THIS CONDITION IS UNCOMMON ON OTHER MAKES OF VEHICLES. TYPICALLY, PASSENGER SIDE WIPER BLADES STOP SEVERAL DEGREES SHORT OF THE POSITION DESCRIBED. THIS CONDITION CAN BE CORRECTED BY MODIFYING THE DEGREE OF TRAVEL PERMITTED BY THE WIPER. Transmission seems to lose power while driving, the car will barely pull itself but the rpms increase if I accelerate. This has happened several times while driving and occasionally there are dash lights lighting and speedometer/gas gauge doesn’t work but that doesn’t happen every time. When it happens I pull over and shut it down and restart and it runs correctly until it happens again! I do a lot of highway driving and the car just “falling flat” on a multi-lane highway at 70+ mph is definitely a safety issue! I have taken it to my local fastlane shop and the car was driven but didn’t malfunction at that time. He advised me to try to drive it there if it happened again, but I have never been close to the shop at the times it happens or they are closed. There is no advance warning, it happens at various speeds and even on takeoff after stopping for traffic lights. I once was pulling into traffic when it happened and didn’t have enough power to get to my lane before it fell flat! Fortunately I could back up before getting hit by oncoming traffic.

There was a pencil mark on the inside tire wall where there was a leak. On the test drive there was a light on the dash indicating low pressure. Prior to pick up I was told it was repaired. On -27-23 I was driving the car and was lusting towards the center of the road after I regained control I had the tire checked at a tire shop and found that a patch had been put on the inside of the tire on the sidewall. The problem was reported to BBB and the dealer has not responded. I am in possession of the tire. No one has inspected the tire.

WHILE SLOWLY DRIVING AROUND SOME POT-HOLES ON A UNEVEN PAVEMENT IN A DET. MI. AREA , I FELT AND HEARD SOME LOUD SQUEALING FROM UNDER THE FRONT OF THE CAR. SECONDS LATER I NOTICED THE MANUAL GEAR SHIFTS WERE VERY STIFF AND HAD USE MORE EFFORT TO MAKE MANUAL SHIFTS. DAYS LATER, I TOOK THE CAR TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER FOR MY 5000 MI OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION.AFTER ORDERING PARTS, I TOOK THE CAR BACK AND BOTH LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND BUSHING WERE CHANGED. I HAD TWO INCIDENTS OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION IN MY 2012 FORD MUSTANG GT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PREMIUM PKG. THESE TWO INCIDENTS OCCURRED ON THE SAME DAY MARCH 5, 2013. THE FIRST WAS AFTER I PICKED UP MY CAR FROM ITS GARAGE OF SEVERAL WEEKS AT LUNCH AND DROVE BACK TO WORK. I HAD GONE ABOUT TWO BLOCKS FROM MY GARAGE AND WAS BRAKING TO SLOW DOWN TO MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN WHEN THE CAR DOWN SHIFTED AND ACCELERATED BY ITSELF WHILE I WAS PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. I WAS GOING ABOUT 5 MPH WHEN THIS ALL STARTED. IT LASTED FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND THEN THE CAR RELEASED AND STOPPED THE ACCELERATION AND I WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND MAKE MY RIGHT HAND TURN. ANYWAY THERE WAS A LARGE SEMI-TRUCK HAULING ROCKS IN FRONT OF ME AND I STAYED BACK ABOUT 60 FEET SO AS NOT TO GET THE ROCKS ON NEW CAR. HE WENT DOWN TO THE OTHER LIGHT WHICH WAS RED AND STOPPED I WAS GOING ABOUT 5 MPH AGAIN AND STARTED TO BRAKE WAY BACK FROM HIM BECAUSE OF THE ROCKS AND THE RED LIGHT. I HAVE A 2012 MUSTANG V6 WITH THE GETRAG MT82 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH THE KNOW ISSUE OF NOTCHY SHIFTING AND SOMETIMES NOT GOING INTO GEAR. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND AND FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR. THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT CAN BE VERY DIFFICULT TO ACTUALLY SHIFT GEARS. THERE CAN BE A LOT OF RESISTANCE AND ARE TIMES WHEN I HAVE TO FORCE THE CAR INTO GEAR OR SKIP THE GEAR COMPLETELY. THE TRANSMISSION IS GRINDING AND RESISTING CHANGING GEARS. TAKATA RECALL - IN EARLY NOVEMBER 2015 I WAS DRIVING MY 2012 FORD MUSTANG WHEN I EXPERIENCED A MINOR FENDER BENDER, LESS THAT 10 MPH. SURPRISINGLY, THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED CAUSING MY PASSENGER, A YOUNG BOY WITH A STOMACH BAG AND OTHER ILLNESSES TO HAVE TO GET CHECKED IN THE HOSPITAL. THANK GOD HE WAS NOT INJURED BUT HE WAS VERY SHAKEN UP FOR MANY DAYS BECAUSE OF HIS AUTISM. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO BODYART COLLISION CENTER ((908-789-0330) TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS, WHICH THEY HAVE DONE. HOWEVER, THREE MONTHS LATER MY CAR IS STILL SITTING THERE BECAUSE, ALTHOUGH THEY WERE ABLE TO INSTALL THE PROPER AIRBAGS, FORD HAS NOT YET BEEN ABLE TO GET APPROVAL FOR A NEWLY DESIGNED REPLACEMENT DASHBOARD. SEVERAL MECHANICS HAVE CALLED TO FIND AFTER MARKET DASHBOARD BUT NO ONE HAS THEM. FORD HAS ALSO STOPPED MANUFACTURING THEM, MOST LIKELY BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAG RECALL. MY MECHANIC, MYSELF, MY MOTHER AND ANYONE ELSE I CAN FIND HAS CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE (HEATHER 866-631-3788, EXT. 7-7790, CASE NO. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THE ISSUE IS THOUGHT TO BE THE THROTTLE BODY AND THROTTLE BODY SENSOR. CURRENTLY MYMY VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALERSHIP GOING THROUGH SOME VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS TO FIGURE OUT THE EXACT PROBLEM. THEY TOLD ME IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE VEHICLE WARRANTY AND I AM BEING CHARGED $145.00 FOR THE INITIAL INSPECTION AND THEN CHARGED BY THE HOUR TO FIX THE PROBLEM, I NOT INCLUDING PARTS. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 59,000 MILES ON IT AND IT'S ALREADY FAILING. IT APPEARS THAT NUMEROUS PEOPLE ARE HAVE THIS ISSUE AND FORD HAS YET TO RECALL AFFECTED VEHICLES.

WHILE MERGING ON A LOCAL HIGHWAY AT 15 MPH THE WRENCH WARNING LIGHT CAME AND THE CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I WAS LUCKY THE RIGHT HAND LANE HAD BREAK IN TRAFFIC AND I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD. THE LIMP TURNED IN NO ACCELERATION AND WAS UNRESPONSIVE TO THE GAS PEDAL. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WAITED 1 MINUTE AND RESTARTED THE CAR - EVERYTHING WAS BACK TO NORMAL. I DROVE DIRECTLY TO MY MECHANIC AND HAD HIM SCAN FOR CODES. NO CODES WERE FOUND. HE RAN NUMEROUS OTHER CHECKS AND DROVE THE CAR FOR 60 MILES WITH NO PROBLEMS. ON 02-25-2014 AT APPROXIMATELY 0800 MY WIFE ([XXX]) WAS DRIVING OUR 2012 FORD MUSTANG GT, SHE TURNED ON THE HEATED SEATS AND WAS TRAVELING NORTH BOUND ON GA HWY 49 WHEN THE SEAT WARMER MALFUNCTIONED OVERHEATING AND BURNING A HOLE THROUGH THE LEATHER SEAT BACK, CAUSING A FIRST DEGREE BURN TO THE BOTTOM LEFT FLANK OF HER BACK. ON 02-27-2014 WE TOOK OUR 2012 FORD MUSTANG GT TO RIVERSIDE FORD/LINCOLN IN MACON, GA WE ADVISED THEM OF THE INCIDENT, THEY CHARGED US $95.00 TO INSPECT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE SEAT WARMER TO MALFUNCTION AND BURN A HOLE THROUGH THE SEAT BACK AND CAUSE A FIRST DEGREE BURN TO MY WIFE'S BACK. RIVERSIDE FORD STATED THE CIRCUIT FOR THE SEAT MALFUNCTIONED/FAILED CAUSING THE SEAT WARMER TO OVERHEAT AND BURN A HOLE THROUGH THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BACK. RIVERSIDE FORD STATED OUR MUSTANG WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND WE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING/REPLACE THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT OF OUR MUSTANG AT A COST TO US OF $1,142.36 (PARTS $715.76, LABOR $350.00, MISC. $26.50, AND TAX $50.10). I CALLED THE FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER (1-800-392-3673) SPOKE WITH A REPRESENTATIVE AND OPENED A CASE (CASE #: [XXX]) THEY STATED THERE WERE NO RECALLS CONCERNING THE SEAT WARMERS IN THE FORD MUSTANG'S AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR US CONCERNING REPLACING/REPAIRING THE DRIVERS SEAT IN OUR VEHICLE BUT THEY WOULD BE LOOKING INTO THE PROBLEM. THEY DID ADVISE US TO SAVE OUR SEAT WHEN WE PAY TO HAVE IT REPLACED IN CASE THERE IS A RECALL AT A LATER DATE. I AM GLAD MY WIFE WAS NOT MORE SERIOUSLY HURT THAN SHE WAS AND THAT SHE TURNED THE SEAT WARMER OFF BEFORE THE VEHICLE COULD HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND POSSIBLE CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR HARMING OTHER MOTORIST AROUND HER. I TURNED RIGHT AT TRAFFIC SIGNAL INTO A MERGE LANE AND ACCELERATED TO APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AND MERGED LEFT. AT THIS POINT THE CAR STARTED JERKING AND MAKING A LOUD NOISE. I PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PETAL AND COULD FEEL THE BRAKES BEING ACTIVATED, THE CAR LOST POWER AND CONTINUED THE JERKING FOR APPROXIMATELY 200 YARD. OTHER CARS BEHIND ME BEGAN BLOWING THEIR HORNS. WHEN IT MALFUNCTIONED THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STARTED TO FLASH AND I WAS UNABLE TO STEER MY CAR, BLOWER ON MY AIR CONDITIONER CAME ON BY ITS SELF FULL BLAST. WHILE I WAS TRYING TO GET CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE A EIGHTEEN WHEELER HAD TO GO OFF THE INTERSTATE INTO THE GRASS TO KEEP FROM RUNNING MY CAR OVER! IT WAS A CLEAR AND WARM DAY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. ROADS HAD NO DIRT, WATER, DEBRIS, ETC..I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35-40 AND HAD JUST GONE IN TO 4TH GEAR. MY 2012 V6 MUSTANG SUDDENLY SWERVED TO THE LEFT REALLY HARD FORCING ME IN TO THE LEFT LANE AND ALMOST IN TO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THEN TO THE RIGHT WHICH ALMOST MADE ME LOSE CONTROL. WHEN I GOT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP I TOLD THEM ABOUT ALL THE ISSUES I WAS HAVING AND LEFT THE CAR WITH THEM. LATER THAT EVENING THE SERVICE CENTER SAID THE CAR WAS DONE. WHEN I PICKED IT UP THE SAME ISSUES WERE HAPPENING WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THE BRAKES. I RETURNED TO THE FORD SERVICE CENTER AND DROPPED OFF THE CAR AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. THE SERVICE CENTER KEEPS ON SAYING THE TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH ARE FINE, EVERYTHING IS NORMAL AND THERE ARE NO OTHER REPORTED ISSUES WITH THIS PROBLEM ON THE TRANSMISSION. ON THE BRAKES, THE SERVICE CENTER DID FIND THAT BOTH REAR PADS HAD BROKEN GUIDES ON THEM AND THEY WERE ALLOWING THE PAD TO MOVE AROUND IN THE CALIPER. THE SERVICE CENTER FIXED THE BRAKE ISSUE AND I HAVEN'T HAD ANYMORE ISSUES WITH THAT. NOW ON 10 DEC, I LEFT MY HOUSE AND WENT TO PUT THE CAR IN SIXTH GEAR AND IT WONT GO IN, THE GEAR WILL JUST GRIND.
