Door lock not secure. It has happened a few times, usually on the highway, where the passenger side door has opened slightly while driving, causing the opened door light to come on. The door is visibly cracked opened, but it is still locked.

The weld that holds the clutch pedal broke causing the clutch pedal to not engage properly. Which led to not being able to shift gears which left the car unable to drive and left the stranded on the side of the road. The weld that hold the clutch pedal in place is insufficient and weak. While researching this issue I found many instances where this has happened to other drivers.

In October 2021 I attended my sisters funeral in Dallas Tx while in the parking lot I went to back up and backed into my Sons vehicle. No insurance claim was filed but I did pay out of pocket for the damage which was 2800.00. At the time I was unaware of the safety recall. My car still has no reverse camera clock or temperature reading and tpms system is failing as well. Last October I took the car to Johnston Ford in New Boston Texas. They kept the car for two and a half hours and fixed nothing. I repeatedly call back and always say they will return my call but to no avail. Please help I am lost without my reverse camera

The rear view camera randomly became unavailable after starting the car. Restarting the car did the fix it. In my online research, it is said that the cause is a faulty wiring harness that Ford used between 2014 and 2017, which would affect my car (2015).

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that before making a left turn the contact switched on the left turn light signal; however, upon making the left turn the contact noticed that the left turn signal on the instrument panel was flashing twice as fast as normal. The contact pulled over to inspect the vehicle. The contact became aware that the taillights were inoperable; however, after restarting the vehicle, the taillights became operable. The following day the contact drove to a local dealer where the vehicle was inspected; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The contact was made aware of SSM: 10144218 and linked it to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 82,000.

My break light switch pad is broken and is causing the car to not maintain speed and sluggish acceleration. I have seen other drivers report the same failure with their cars.

Traveling on highway using cruise control at posted speed limit. Approached slowdown due to accident and applied brakes. Accelerated to limit (manually) after passing accident. I was in middle lane. Vehicle abruptly began to decelerate. Continuous pressure on gas pedal did not increase speed, so I put on hazards and moved to slow lane. No failures on dashboard and quick scan through gages did not identify an issue. Re-applied pressure to gas pedal wanting to get to next exit. Car sped up, but when approaching 50 mph, it decreased again. Found that pumping gas would allow me to maintain highway speed. Pulled into truck stop at exit and turned car off. Message on console "Hill start assist not available". Let vehicle rest 15 minutes, added gas. Quick web search seemed to point to problem with ABS sensor. Seemed to drive ok in parking lot and road leading to highway ramp. Decided to try to get closer to home. Problem occurs immediately after climbing to 50 mph. Cruise control won't work. By carefully monitoring speed and pumping gas into overdrive when needed, I was able to get home. Could not get appointment with dealership until late afternoon next day. Hill start assist message comes on again when stopping. After arriving home and parking in garage I went inside for about 30 minutes. Needed to unload items from car and went back to garage noticing that the strip of lights above trunk are still on. Got back in car, started it (got hill assist message), turned lights on/off and turned off car. Now my rear brake lights are also on. I had seen a post about this, so unhooked battery to prevent drain. Next morning, reattached battery and had same problem. Brake light switch pad broke , So the car thinks the brakes are on so it goes into "limp mode" and it starts turning off assist modes.

The issue is the Brake Light switch stop pad on the brake pedal which is a rubber type of plug. At 70,000 miles the brake light switch stop pad cracked and fell into floor board (see pictures). When that happened, the RPMs dropped to idle speed and the car slowed down. After a few seconds, the car would pick up speed again only to repeat the event over and over again. I understand that when the brake light switch stop pad is missing and the plunger on the switch is fully out, the car thinks that you are applying the brakes. I was lucky, I was on a two lane road with no traffic, but I was headed to an inter-state with heavy traffic. Ford (nor does anyone else) does not sell just the rubber plug which fits on the brake pedal, but it will sell the complete brake pedal assembly. Not sure the reason that the brake pedal would require the hole that requires the rubber plug, but think that Ford should be responsible for the replacement or a better solution for the repair (Provide a replacement plug, not just the complete Brake pedal assembly. Right after picking up my 2015 Ford Mustang from dealer service on July 23, 2025, the hood suddenly flew open while I was driving, completely blocking my view and creating a serious risk of collision. The dealership had performed multiple recalls and a multi-point inspection but did not flag any hood latch issue. The vehicle was released as “safe to drive,” yet this happened immediately after leaving their service. This was an extremely dangerous situation that could have caused a serious accident. The force of the hood flying up also caused major damage to the hood and surrounding components. The dealership took the car back and even offered me a rental, but they are refusing to take responsibility or repair the damage, claiming they are not at fault. I am reporting this because it is a serious safety issue and I want to ensure it is properly investigated to prevent similar incidents. I am also requesting that the dealer or manufacturer repair the damage or reimburse me for the cost to fix it, as this was caused immediately after their service.

The contact stated that the trunk was not slammed, and that the emblem could have fallen off while driving, becoming a possible road hazard. The driver side fills with water during heavy rain. This is not due to a leak in the convertible top or any window seals. The water is coming from below. The water is at risk of causing rust build up, electrical malfunction, and mold growth. The problem has not been reproduced by a dealer or independent service center, every time I bring it up they say they don't cover leaks so I have yet to be able to get it checked out. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the the first appearance. This has happened numerous times since 6/17/2023

Passenger door suddenly opens at highway speed (over 70 mph), requiring very dangerous manoeuvres to stop and close it again. This happened 6 times in 4 hours of travel.

The passenger door unlatches while the vehicle is in motion. The dealer has reported that this had already been fixed, but it is still happening. It is a major safely issue that needs to be resolved. I can provide video footage.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the back over prevention camera intermittently failed to operate as needed while the vehicle was shifted into reverse(R). The contact stated that the camera image either displayed a blank image or the camera displayed an inaccurate distance between objects. As a result, the contact stated that while reversing into the driveway at approximately 5 MPH, the rearview camera displayed an inaccurate image and the distance between the vehicle and another vehicle parked in the driveway. As a result of the discrepancy, the contact struck the parked vehicle, which damaged the rear quarter panel of his vehicle but there was no damage to the other vehicle. Due to the low impact of the crash, the contact was not injured and an air bag did not deploy. There was no Police report filed. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V572000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The local dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.

i was driving on a highway and experienced a total failure of my electrical system which completely shut down with in 15 seconds i lost control of the car as i could not even move the wheel, subsequently T-boned by another car iwhich could not stop fast enough suffering total loss of my car of note prior to the accident (Sunday AM) on friday I had a battery replaced @ Firestone, see reciept attached that was the last repair for the care

I was driving home from work and all the sudden it went into limp mode, I could barely get her home. Then I found yellow pieces of plastic in my floorboard. My brake light would not go off so I had to unplug the battery. Very scary to have that happen on the interstate, luckily I got off on an exit.

THE RECALL ONLY INVLOLVES VEHICLES FROM CERTAIN STATES WITH HIGH TEMPS AND OR HUMIDITY BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE STATE OF MISSOURI WHICH SEES BOTH HIGH TEMPS AND HIGH HUMIDITY. DTC CODE P0504. BRAKE LAMP SWITCH HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED AND NO ISSUE WITH WIRING. POSITIVE THE PLASTIC STOP BUMPER IS THE ISSUE.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The break pedal stop pad broke into small pieces while I was driving today. My car suddenly would not go above 40 and while going up a hill I couldn’t go faster than 20. When I finally got home I realized that my break lights would not turn off. I did google and it said to look on the floor board and see if there was anything on the floor. The pieces I found were identified as the break pedal stop pad. Yes it is available for inspection and I took pictures of the broken bits from the floorboard. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My car suddenly was unable to go the speed limit in 6 o’clock traffic putting me as well as those driving behind me in danger of a collision and physical harm. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? A message did pop up that said uphill break assist unavailable within 5 minutes of me getting in the vehicle. I had no previous issues or warnings before this incident.

The contact stated that while her son was driving approximately 30 MPH, as he tried to slow while following the road steering to the left, the vehicle's brakes failed. The vehicle left the roadway spun several times and crashed into a tree. The roadway surface was not dry, the contact's son said that the conditions had been misty. The driver's side door was crushed and the entire side panel to the rear wheel was crushed by the impact. The driver's side window, the rear windshield, and the passenger side window were shattered. The contact stated that additionally large branches from the tree had fallen off at impact and damaged the hood and trunk of the vehicle. The driver's side air bag and passenger side air bag, and driver's front air bag had deployed. The contact's son had sustained bruising and abrasions to the left side of his neck and forehead, he had bruising and abrasions to his shins and knees. The son also had abrasions to both his hands on the tops the hands. The contact stated that only an EMT squad had arrived and treated the son. The son had not been transported to the Emergency Room, the police were not on the scene. The vehicle had been towed to an impound lot and the contact's insurance provider declared the vehicle a total loss. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

With only 32,885 miles, engine light came on due to (P0456) EVAP small leak. Went to an auto shop and Ford dealer for diagnostic scan. Both technicians found that there is a bit of smoke coming out from the top of the fuel tank due to a small stress crack at the port near the canister vent hose as well as a small crack below fuel pressure sensor tube. New fuel tank replacement was recommended as the crack could not be repaired. Cost to fix is $1,400 parts and $1,200 labor. This small crack nears the fuel tank seems to be a major concern for owners as it could increase the risk of vehicle fire and should be a recall by Ford for immediate remedy.

The fuel tanked cracked. It was no longer able to hold vacuum. The engine light came on and stayed on. The 2.3L mustang had a similar issue due to heat. It was inspected and fix at a local repair shop.

There is a recall for fuel odor on build dates 9/14-10/14 due to a failed fuel line sensor. My vehicle has a build date of 8/14 and is experiencing the same issue but not covered under the recall, which is a heavy fuel odor after putting gas in. Any amount of fuel put in has a severe odor, it doesn't have to be filled.

Canister purge valve malfunction stuck in an open position. If this occurs, an excessive vacuum in the fuel system could cause deformation of the vehicle’s plastic fuel tank. Indicator light check engine with fluctuating or inaccurate fuel levels. This could lead to a stall while driving and/or an inability to restart the vehicle, which can increase the risk of a crash.

The 2015 Mustang has been driven about 62,000 miles. The car has not been driven excessively in the 8 + years my wife and I have owned it. I recently heard a noise from the car. I brought the car to a local reputable repair shop. They determined, that there was a problem with the differential. They took the housing case off and found metal shreds in the case. They feel that a bearing failed caused the complete differential failure. I talked to Ford and they have no open recalls for this and recommended contacting the NHTSA. The car is at the repair shop waiting for parts to repair the differential at a cost of approximately $3,000.

The weld that connects the clutch pedal bar to the tube it pivots in broke on my 2015 Mustang. This makes the pedal wobbly and can prevent the clutch from being fully depressed. For months, the clutch was squeaking. Upon inspection, I noticed the weld was broken. I have not been in an accident because of this, however, the clutch pedal is now loose and can at times hit the 'neutral' switch (which measures full depression of the clutch to allow the car to start), which prevents inconsistent depression of the clutch, leading to unsafe operation.

“Charge system service now” came on the dash, battery lost power after about 10 seconds, screen went black, dash went black, car locked up, opened the hood and the engine was on fire, called 911 who came quickly and put the fire out without the entire car burning, insurance later total losses the car. I don’t know if it was the battery or the engine responsible for the failure, because the flames were on the engine and not the battery, but the incident was triggered by a battery warning. I was on the interstate driving 60mph when the car shut off and everything including my headlights and even hazard lights went black. Not only could I have been struck by a car on the interstate, I could have died in a car fire. Because the car locked up, I couldn’t open the trunk or use any electronics. The door could have just as easily locked and trapped us inside a burning car. The car is on a salvage yard, no attempt to replicate has been made. Progressive insurance, and Columbia fire inspected it and found that it was undetermined. “Charge service system now” was the only warning before the infotainment screen shut down to reduce battery usage. Every light on the dash flashed right before everything on the dash went black and power was lost to the entire vehicle.

There was smoke coming from underneath the hood. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and four new head gasket holes were drilled, and bolts were added. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact recently purchased the vehicle. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V331000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who refused to inspect the door latch codes. The contact was informed that it appeared that the recall repair was started; however, it was not completed. The dealer stated that since the remedy was not completed, it could not be finished. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact to request the dealer to inspect and verify if the remedy had been completed. The dealer refused and stated that the software did not allow the dealer to inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was 78,955.

Back in 2019 I took my car to Legacy Ford in McDonough Georgia to get the recall issue for my door fixed. Someone told my husband that it was fixed. I'm riding in my jobs parking lot and the door fly's open. The door will not close. When I called Legacy the guy was not concerned and told me that the recall issue was not fixed. He told me that I could bring my car in on Monday. I have to work and need the issue resolved. I will be contacting an attorney on this.

Driving in town when the front passenger window began to continually drop about half inch and close again. When I got onto the highway the front passenger door unlatched and the 'door open' alert displayed. This happened several times during one driving trip. I stop and reclose the door and take off again. This has happened several times during different driving trips. In the meantime the window continues to go up and down. That tells me that the door in not latching properly. My VIN number does not appear to be included in the 20V331000 2015 ford mustang recall dated 2020-06-07 as I have not received a recall letter from ford.

The contact stated while driving 80 MPH, the front driver’s and passenger’s side doors opened inadvertently. The contact slowed down the vehicle and was able to close the front driver’s side door. The driver then pulled over and closed the front passenger’s side door. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair however after the dealer inspected the latch date codes, the dealer informed the contact that the manufacturer did not approve the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the latch date codes were deemed safe in their system and no further action was required. The failure mileage was approximately 45,800.

The airbag light is on, the vehicle has not been in an accident. The vehicle has less than 50k miles on it. The bags have never deployed. I did not have this repaired. There is a seatbelt recall that affects airbags... Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles manufactured August 18, 2014, to October 2, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the passenger safety belt tension sensor may misclassify the size of the front passenger seat occupant. This could cause a child size occupant to be classified as an adult and an adult passenger to be classified as a child passenger. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." Does this cause the airbag light to come on???

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front passenger's side seat belt and air bag warning lights were illuminated, while there was no passenger occupying the passenger seat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a faulty Occupant Classification Module (OCM) sensor. The dealer informed the contact that the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. Contact Additional comments: The seat belt and air bag warning lights will turn on randomly and at all different speeds. There seems to be no correleation when the sensor decides to fail. Richmond Ford West said they had never seen this failure before. They advised that if their was a person in the passenger seat, the lights were illuminated (sensor not working) and the car was to get into a crash, the airbags would not go off. Current, I only drive the car alone. I talked to Ford Customer Service about this clear safety issue and concern, they said they would not offer any help in the repair and it would cost $2000 ($1600 for the part and $400) for the labor. This appears to be a very rare, but significant safety issue for the car for a part to randomly fail through no fault of the owner.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING A CRASH. DURING THE CRASH THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE UPPER TORSO. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A CEMENT UTILITY POOL. DURING THE CRASH THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED BUT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE MESSAGE "AIR BAGS DEPLOYED" HAD DISPLAYED IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE UPPER TORSO AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED BY A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SEAT BELT FAILED ALSO FAILED TO RETRACT AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE REQUESTED THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO INVESTIGATE THE FAILURE OF THE AIR BAGS HOWEVER, THE ADVISED HER TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER AS THE AIR BAGS FAILURE WERE ALREADY UNDER INVESTIGATION. THE MUSTANG HAS THE ECOBOOST PERFORMANCE PACKAGE WITH 19" EBONY BLACK PAINTED WHEELS. THE CAR HAS ONLY 30,000 MILES ON IT DESPITE BEING 5 YEARS OLD THE LUG NUTS ON EACH WHEEL HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE THE NUTS WERE SWELLING AND A STANDARD SIZE WRENCH COULD NOT REMOVE THEM. THIS PROBLEM WAS DETECTED AT 25,000 MILES AND VERIFIED BY THE FORD DEALER RECENTLY. TODAY, THE FORD DEALER REPLACED THE LUG NUTS, WHICH COST $13.03 APIECE PLUS INSTALLATION AND TAX FOR A TOTAL OF $316.91. HOWEVER, THE REAL PROBLEM IS THE POTENTIAL THAT A WHEEL COULD NOT BE REMOVED IN CASE OF A FLAT TIRE OUT ON A HIGHWAY. IN ADDITION, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT LUG NUTS WHOSE THREADS WERE NOT STRIPPED NEED REPLACEMENT WHICH APPEARS TO BE AT 30,000 MILE INTERVALS. I HAVE CARS THAT HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES ON THEM AND NEVER HAVE LUG NUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE HERE BECAUSE BEING ABLE TO CHANGE A TIRE WHEN NECESSARY SHOULD NOT REQUIRE A MAJOR OPERATION.

The steering gear including contour module went out. I was backing out and couldn’t turn my wheel my sisters boyfriend had to drive it home on a curvy road with no power steering. I have a local mechanic looking at it but they said the part is on back order which means this must happen a lot. They finally got the part and now are saying it won’t program so are needing to order another part. When I turned the car on to leave my destination it said service powersteering system and abs, but before that there were no warnings. I unplugged the battery for 30 minutes to rest the car and everything worked fine for another 1, then driving down the road it went out again.

The contact depressed the brake pedal and stopped the vehicle. The contact was unable to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the electronic steering gear assembly needed to be replaced. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall associated with the failure. The dealer advised the contact to bring the vehicle in to be repaired at her expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

WHILE BACKING UP FROM A PARKING SPACE THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT & KEPT TRYING TO BOUNCE BACK TO CENTER. IT WAS INTERMITTENTLY EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THEY ALLEGEDLY CORRECTED THE ISSUE. THAT NIGHT MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND EXECUTED A RIGHT TURN AT SPEED. THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE STEERING WHEEL VIOLENTLY JERKED BACK TO CENTER. THE VEHICLE STRAIGHTENED OUT OF THE TURN INTO THE MEDIAN AND TOWARD ONCOMING TRAFFIC. WITH TERRIFIC STRENGTH AND EFFORT MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO FORCE THE VEHICLE BACK INTO THE LANE AND AVOID A COLLISION. THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER LET UP WITH WARNING MESSAGES AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WITH TREMENDOUS EFFORT WE ABLE TO SAFELY GET THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP. SINCE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, HIS STRENGTH WAS THE ONLY THING THAT PREVENTED IMPACTING VEHICLES IN THE ONCOMING LANE DURING THE TURN. I CAN ONLY GUESS THAT HAD I BEEN BEHIND THE WHEEL WHEN THE STEERING FAILED THE OUTCOME MAY HAVE BEEN TRAGIC. THE DEALERSHIP NOW SAYS THE STEERING RACK REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. The vehicle was dropped off at the dealer for service and remained at the dealer for two days. The contact was then informed that the mechanic in charge of servicing the recall was out sick; the dealer was uncertain if the recall repair had been serviced prior to the mechanic's absence. The contact chose to take possession of the vehicle, and the recall was removed from the vehicle. Recently, the contact stated that the trunk failed to open manually or with the key fob. The contact decided to tie a string to the emergency truck release, which was inserted through the back seat to open the trunk. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, where the contact was informed that the wiring to the trunk and backup camera were all connected. The contact was informed that the trunk failure could lead to a rear-view camera failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 118,000.

Ford is refusing to repair the rear camera wiring defect. The dealer attempted multiple times and Ford is refusing to replace it, instead the dealer is asking for $1000 dollars.

The passenger side door will open by itself. This happened twice within the last month with a passenger in the seat and once with no passenger. The warning lamp will come with an alert to say that the passenger side door is open. This puts the safety of those in the car at risk of falling out, or possibly an accident if the door completely opens. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by anyone. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

AdvanceTracService light, Hill Assist not available, Check engine light is on, Driver selection light comes on. I've taken it to the dealership and they cannot find the problem, but steering wheel and car was temporarily inoperable and turning the steering wheel was almost impossible. Suspension is off as well.

I am writing to formally request an investigation into a potential recall issue regarding a heated seat module and module plug on my vehicle. Below are the details of my vehicle for your reference: * Make/Model: 2015 Ford Mustang Ecoboost * VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): [XXX] * Mileage: 183,367 I have encountered a burning/melted plastic smell along with smoke coming from my heated/cooled seat module box while operating the vehicle. This issue has impacted safety, and reduced functionality. I have contacted the dealership, and had the part inspected but the issue persists. Upon reviewing similar concerns online and through forums, I noticed other owners reporting comparable problems, starting with many different 2015-2020 ford model vehicles, which leads me to believe this may be a widespread issue. I respectfully request that Ford initiate an investigation to determine if this problem warrants a recall. I also ask for guidance on how to address this issue in the interim to ensure the continued safety of myself and others on the road. The evaporator is leaking and apparently is a known issue from ford and they didn't report this. The evaporator core is leaking and it blows hot air for a good amount. It draws a lot of power form the system and drops the rpm below idling. Forcing me to rev a cold engine so that it does not stall out.

After 5 visits to a Ford dealer, rough idling issue finally discovered and fixed on 5/4/2023. All 4 VCT solenoids were found to have malfunctioned. Issue began 06/2020 and involved car rough idling at stops or stop and go traffic. No codes were shown on dash. During episodes, car might shut off. It would turn on if car restarted again. Vehicle first seen at Ford dealer on 7/3/2020. No issue found. Follow-on visits on 3/11/2021, 10/25/2022, and 3/22/2023 brought no answers to issue. Car left at dealers for 2-5 days at a time.

2015 mustang ecoboost premium with performance package. Coolant leaked into the engine oil, causing damage to the engine. Now the engine may have to be rebuilt or replaced.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH V-6 ENGINE. TRANSMISSION FLEX PLATE AND TORQUE CONVERTER WAS FINALLY REPLACED BY COAST MESA FORD DEALER AFTER THREE YEARS OF COMPLAINING TO H.B. FORD DEALER. H.B. THE EVAPORATOR CORE HAS BEEN NOTATED IN A SERVICE BULLETIN AS BEING FAULTY. THIS MERELY CAUSES THE A/C TO NOT WORK EFFICIENTLY AT FACE VALUE. THE REAL ISSUE IS THE INABILITY TO PROPERLY DEFOG/DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, RENDERING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO POOR VISIBILITY THAT IS NOT CONTROLLABLE BY THE OPERATOR OF THE VEHICLE.

Having difficulties to get our vehicle repaired by Ford Motor Company. Two out of three Safety Recalls for our car have not been solved. Attempts for arranging services have been made through online scheduling at our local dealership, as well as through contacting them by phone at different times, but still no final solution is been granted. First, DOOR LATCHES: Manufacturer Recall Number 20S3 & NHTSA Recall Number 20V331. And second, REAR VIEW CAMERA: Ford Recall Number 22S06 & NHTSA Recall Number 22V082.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that after it rained, there was water on the rear passenger’s side floor of the vehicle. The vehicle was equipped with a convertible top. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact cleaned and drained the water from the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and a case was opened. The contact stated that a year later the vehicle was at the dealer for recall repairs and she noticed that there was water inside the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The manufacturer then transferred the call to the NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000.

The doors on both passenger and drivers side keep unlatching while driving. it happens quite often, 4 times this week on one 200 miles trip. I took it to the dealer who said the locking mechanisms were faulty. The dealer replaced both of them $1200.00. My question is: there was a recall on this problem involving several years including 2015. But my car was not included even though it obviously has the same problem. Is there anything that can be done to cover an obvious safety hazard?

TODAY I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 FORD MUSTANG WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED. THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN AND WOULDN'T LET ME ACCELERATE. EVENTUALLY WHILE WANTING TO CHECK IF MY CAR WAS OKAY I TRIED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN INTO A PARKING LOT AND THE CAR ENGINE SHUT OFF BUT THE LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING WERE STILL ON. 2015 FORD MUSTANG HAS A CARBON MONOXIDE LEAK IN THE CABIN WHEN A/C IS ON. RECORDED CARBON MONOXIDE READINGS OF 28 PPM AND 17 PPM ONE WEEK APART USING A DIGITAL DETECTOR. TESTED MULTIPLE OTHER FAMILY CARS WITH SAME DETECTOR UNDER SAME CONDITIONS AND RECEIVED READINGS OF 0 PPM, INDICATING DETECTOR IS WORKING ACCURATELY. CAR ORIGINALLY HAD CRACKED EXHAUST AND STRONG FUMES THAT LEAKED INTO CABIN WITH A/C ON. CAR WAS BROUGHT INTO SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND EXHAUST/CATALYTIC CONVERTER WERE REPLACED. CARBON MONOXIDE CONTINUED TO LEAK INTO THE CAR INTERIOR AFTER REPAIR, AND CONTACT EXPERIENCED HEADACHES, NEAR LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, DIZZINESS, FATIGUE, AND CHEST PAIN. Seat Belt Tensioner: Seat belt tensioner is not retaining tension. Inordinate amount of slack when taking off belt coupled with slow retraction. Also have noticed lack of tension during sudden stopping. The belt will also not retract up exiting the vehicle. I’ve reported to the dealer and they commented they’ve seen this plenty of times. This seems like a major safety concern.

The contact stated that his daughter continuously attempted to fasten the seat belt however, the seat belt locked up and she was no longer able to fasten and latch it securely. The local dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to accelerate, the RPM's increase rapidly but the vehicle lost motive power. The contact also stated that there was a gasoline odor present inside the vehicle. The check engine and service engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed failures with the fuel tank filler pipe, fuel vapor line, and fuel supply tube. The fuel tank filler pipe was repaired. The fuel vapor line, and fuel supply tube were not repaired. My vehicle had a recall: Ford recall 22S06 involves 2015-2017 Ford Mustangs due to a potential issue with the rearview camera. The wiring for the rearview camera may be loose or damaged, causing the camera to display a blank or distorted image. This can reduce the driver's visibility behind the vehicle, potentially increasing the risk of a crash. The dealership at Ford Chapman Automobile claims the issue is fixed but they never fixed anything on my backup camera. It was blinking and they said it is normal for this vehicle. My backup camera is not working and they are refusing to fix it. I have contacted Ford but they also refer to the report from the dealership and say according to the dealership the problem is fixed and there is nothing that could do. My car has very limited visibility and this causes problems when backing up.

The backup camera on my 2015 Mustang GT has been intermittently going out leaving a blank screen or a failed image on the dash display saying I need to contact Ford. I have been notified of a recall by the manufacturer on my particular vehicle. However, after taking my car in they said the recall span as determined by Ford apparently does not include my particular car, even though mine was manufactured in the middle of the production years 2015 - 2017. My car persists in having this issue and the wiring at the trunk lid appears defective and the insulation is split. The problem is intermittent and random. There were no incidents but some close calls. Calls to customer service say there is an active recall on my vehicle.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2015 MUSTANG GT, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR STRUT EXPERIENCED A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE WHICH RESULTED IN THE STRUT BLOWING THROUGH THE MOUNT TO THE BODY AND NEARLY PENETRATING THE BODY OF MY VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED A SUDDEN LOSS OF CONTROL WITH THE VEHICLE AND REMAINS A HIGH CONCERN IF IT IS TO HAPPEN AGAIN. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO ADVISE WHY THIS HAPPENED BUT ALL SERVICE PERSONNEL NOTED THAT THIS WAS A SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN ON ANY VEHICLE, LET ALONE ONE THAT IS TWO YEARS OLD. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ATTACHED IMAGES, THE STRUT ITSELF PENETRATED THE FUEL FILLER LINE AND UNDER FULL SUSPENSION COMPRESSION THE STRUT ITSELF WAS NEARLY PENETRATING THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE AS NOTED ABOVE.

While driving home, driving speed was 55 mph, car engine bogged down and orange wrench icon illuminated on dash. I was not far from home and was able to continue and "limp" home. Car would not go faster than 10-15 mph. When I parked car in garage and shut car off, the brake lights stayed on. There was no warning lights or anything wrong with car before incident. Car has not been inspected by dealer or service center. Doing further research online, I was directed to look at drivers floorboard for plastic pieces. I did find broken, yellowish colored plastic pieces on floor board. According to others, which have been experiencing the same issue, the brake light switch stop bumper pad has failed. I was able to find a recall (Safety recall 22S02) that has been issued for this problem, but the recall is region specific. I do not live in the regions listed in recall.

I ran into the existing issue described in "Part 573 Safety Recall Report" NHTSA Recall Number 22V-011, but in a state not listed under the recall (vehicle purchased used in Pennsylvania in 2017). As a result of this part failing, my brake lights remained engaged permanently, and the car's engine power would increase and decrease rapidly (presumably because it thought I kept hitting the breaks). At time of writing I still have the broken pieces of the original part. I plan to take the vehicle into service within the week. There are no warning lights when this occurs since everything I'm the car is technically "operating correctly" - it just thinks the breaks are engaged constantly, and so has erratic behavior. The original recall lists high humidity as a cause, which Pennsylvania definitely has. I keep my vehicle outside 24/7, so it has definitely been part of many temperature swings.

The little rubber pad that it attached to the brake pedal disintegrated. Without that pad the vehicle goes into limp mode and won’t drive over 40. Don’t know why the brake switch is connected to other electronics in the vehicle that would make it go into limp mode. Very unsafe while driving on the highway.

There is a break pedal pad that is broken. It doesn't allow the car to accelerate correctly and car goes in limp mode. All break lights are illuminated when car is turned off. There is a recall for this, but I purchased my car in CA. I think the car was originally a Nevada car. Am I still eligible for the recall even if I didn't get the notification and my state of purchase was not mentioned?

The brake pedal stop bumper in my car disintegrated in the middle of the day and fell off. The brake lights do not turn off anymore and the vehicle can be started and shifted without needing to press the brake. I found a recall # 22S02 for this exact issue but my vehicle is not covered by it (assuming due to region). The vehicle has not been inspected yet.

Hi, I was driving on the freeway and suddenly my car stopped accelerating. I would push the acceleration pedal but it wouldnt speed up. And for a few times it would speed up very much. This was very rapid fluctuation. I also noticed that the cruise control was not working. This was very scary being on the highway with this kind of speed fluctuation. After i came back home, i noticed that the brake light wouldnt turn off at all. After doing some research i found that the brake light switch broke and the car was sensing that the brake was being applied and hence was doing acceleration fluctuations. Rubber stopper on brake sensor dry rotted and broke off. This caused the car to think I was applying the brakes when I wasn’t. It would cut the throttle while trying to maintain speed and my brake lights were always on even though I wasn’t touching the brakes or in the car for that matter.

Related to Regional Recall 22R01, the rubber bumper on my brake pedal that engages the brake light switch failed and placed the vehicle in a low power mode. This failure occurred while merging onto the interstate and almost resulted in my being rear-ended by a semi truck. Having never been notified of this regional recall, I was able to verify this was the case after searching forums and YouTube and identifying the pieces of the broken bumper in my floorboard. I find it to be HORRENDOUSLY unacceptable that this was allowed to be handled as a regional recall and no notice was ever produced, as it is a safety-related issue that could have resulted in grievous bodily harm. I am located in Kentucky, which is not part of the named region.

THE CLUTCH PEDAL OF MY MUSTANG FAILED AT JUST OVER 90,000 MILES. I WAS DRIVING IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD WHEN THE PEDAL WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO BE OPERATED SAFELY AND REQUIRED TWISTING MY LEG IN ORDER TO PUSH THE PEDAL DOWN. AFTER LIMPING THE VEHICLE HOME, I INSPECTED THE PEDAL AND FOUND THAT WELD THAT JOINED ONE SIDE OF THE PEDAL ARM TO THE PIVOT BAR HAD BROKEN OFF COMPLETELY, AND THE OTHER SIDE HAD CRACKED. THIS ALLOWED SIGNIFICANT LATERAL MOVEMENT OF THE PEDAL, WHICH CAUSED IT TO HANG UP IN THE ASSEMBLY WHEN PUSHING IT IN. THERE WAS NO ABUSE LOADING OF THE PEDAL THROUGH THE LIFE OF THE CAR. AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER, I CAN SAY WITH CONFIDENCE THAT THE WELD THAT BROKE OFF WAS BAD/COLD, AND THAT ONCE IT BROKE, SHIFTED ALL THE PEDAL LOADS TO THE OTHER SIDE, RESULTING IN ITS FAILURE. THIS DESIGN IS NOT ROBUST TO TYPICAL MANUFACTURING QUALITY VARIATIONS DUE TO THE WELDS BEING ONLY 90 DEG AROUND THE CIRCUMFERENCE. MY FAILURE IS ONLY ONE OF DOZENS THAT HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN MODEL SPECIFIC FORUMS AND ON SOCIAL MEDIA. I HAVE ENCOURAGED OTHERS WITH THIS ISSUE TO REPORT THEIRS.

There is a well known evaporator core issue with the Ford Mustangs/Trucks that were produced between the 2015-2017 models. Freon leaks out of the evaporator core due to poor build quality this creates a white film on the windshield of the vehicle that makes it hard for drivers to see. This happened to me when I first bought my car and I could have crashed but was able to safely pull over and clean the windshield off. This film buildup can happen at anytime and also releases an unpleasant order into the atmosphere that should not be breathed in and is very harmful to the environment. Ford is well aware of this issue and decided to avoid doing a recall to prevent the company from losing money. I am also having an airbag issue on my Mustang this one is current. I have not been in any accidents or driven the car in anyway to make the light come on. The drivers side airbag light is on and is indicating that their is an issue with my airbag system. This is a huge safety concern and I don't want to wait for something to happen for either of these issues to be fixed. The AC issue is new for me with Ford but out of the 4 mustangs I have owned 3 of them have all had recalls for an airbag issue. The first was my 2005 V6 base model. The second was my 2010 Mustang GT. and the third was my 2014 Mustang GT. This is now my 4th mustang and still having air bag issues. Please do something about any of these issues if you can. I am sure numerous of other people have experienced what I am experiencing. I have even done research and seen forums that are over 150 pages long regarding some of the safety issues mentioned in this message. Please and Thank You Very Much

WE WERE STOPPED IN FAST LANE IN FREEWAY TRAFFIC, CAR IN CENTER LANE HIT BACK PASSENGER SIDE, PUSHING US INTO TAHOE IN FRONT OF US. DRIVER THAT HIT US WAS GOING 30-35 MPH ON IMPACT. ONLY THE DRIVERS LEG AIRBAG WENT OFF, PASSENGER AIRBAG POPPED COVER OFF ON RIGHT SIDE AND GOT STUCK SO DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVERS FRONT STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER INJURED WITH SEVERE BRUISING. BACK WINDSHIELD SHATTERED IN TINY PIECES ACROSS ENTIRE INSIDE OF CAR. I HAVE CONFIRMED THIS CAR DID NOT HAVE ANY AIRBAG RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH IT.

As I was driving on the freeway, out of nowhere my car started losing gas power which almost caused me to get rear ended. Later on that night I almost lost full control of the car when it lost power since I started swerving. through out the night it continued to lose power and then the "hill side assistance" light came on notifying me that it was not available/functioning and my break lights would not turn off at all, even when the car was off and locked. I took it to the dealer and they could not find the problem. Then I took it the a mechanic which he was able to temporarily fix it but it was not a permanent fix. we had to create the part, as the ford company did not have it anywhere. If I would have been on the street I would have lost control and who knows if a pedestrian could have been walking, It could have ended tragic. this is something that needs to be review and fix by ford company. This is a severe safety issues, it seems not only my car is having the same issue but other ford mustangs as well. Since the dealer did not have that small piece, they attempted to sale me the entire part which was $500. not every one can afford the entire part, and for a small piece which should cost no more than $20 that can cause injuries should not be ignored.

THE A/C SYSTEM SHUT DOWN WHILE TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE AND ONLY BLEW HOT AIR. THE ENTIRE A/C SYSTEM AND ITS COMPONENTS HAD TO BE REPLACED AND THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD. A LEAK WAS FOUND UNDER THE VEHICLE AS IT WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE LEAK WAS TRACED BACK TO THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER. THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD TO BE REPLACED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD.

ON JULY 4TH, MY 2015 FORD MUSTANG, HAD A BREAK PEDAL ISSUE, THE PEDAL WOULD LOCK AND WOULD NOT ALLOW VEHICLE TO STOP. THE FIST TIME HAPPEN TO ME WILE DRIVING 55 MPH AND I WAS LUCKY BECAUSE IT WAS EARLY IN THE MORNING ON A NOT BUY AVENUE SO I WAS ABLE TO TOP THE CAR WITH THE HAND BREAK. HOWEVER, IN THE PROCESS I WAS NOT ABLE TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT. THE TOW THE VEHICLE WITH 882 MILES AND RETURNED TO ME WITH 882 MILES. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE I HAD PURCHASE THE RENTAL CAR OPTION AND THE CAR WAS NOT PROVIDED TO ME UNTIL THE DAY AFTER THE INCIDENT. IN ADDITION, THEY ONLY CONDUCTED A VISUAL POINT INSPECTION AND REPROGRAMMED THE PCM. I SPOKE TO MY CASE MANAGER AT FORD AND THEY GUARANTEE THAT THEY HAD RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND THAT IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN. UNFORTUNATELY ON AUGUST 1ST ONLY A MONTH LATER AND AT AROUND 1500 MILES, THE BREAK PEDAL LOCKED AND THIS TIME I WAS INVOLVE IN AN ACCIDENT. ALTHOUGH I WAS DRIVING ONLY 35 MPH, MY VEHICLE SUFFER SEVER DAMAGES. I TOW THE VEHICLE TO FORD AND EXPECTED A RENTAL CAR, BUT THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RENTAL, WHICH IS STUPID BECAUSE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY SHOULD COVER THE EXPENSES OF THE RENTAL. I FEEL LUCKY THAT I HAD THE ACCIDENT AT A LOW SPEED AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANY INJURY TO MY SELF. HOWEVER IF IT WOULD BEEN AT A HIGHWAY SPEED I COULD BE DEATH AND POSSIBLE MANY OTHER, DUE TO AN ISSUE THAT I HAD PRESENTED TO FORD A MONTH IN ADVANCE. I HATE FORD, I AM SCARE TO DRIVE, AND EVERY TIME I HEAR A HONK I PANIC. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH and attempting to depress the brake pedal, the clutch pedal detached from the brake pedal assembly. Neither an independent mechanic nor a dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired; however, the vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,724.

A plastic clip ("Brake Pedal Bumper") broke and fell out of place, causing the brake pedal to no longer reach the brake light switch. The brake lights now remain illuminated permanently, even with the brakes released. This also caused the engine and transmission to go into "limp mode", the engine no longer revving over 2,000 RPM, the transmission not shifting, and hill-start assist and traction control no longer working, making the car unsafe to drive. The brake lights will remain on even when the car is completely shut off and locked, draining and damaging the battery. It is my understanding that this is a known issue, and there was a recall for this in certain states. (Safety Recall 22S02, Regional Recall 22R01). There should be a national recall for this, as the affected part appears to be of low quality, and causes safety issues when it fails, with the car's drivability and lighting affected.

Third tail light and rear tail lights remained illuminated after the car was turned off. Driver discovered the brake light switch (rubber/plastic piece) had crumbled into the floor board preventing the tail lights from turning off, thus, becoming a hazard to other motorists on the road as the tail lights remained illuminated even while driving. While the vehicle was being driven, the driver could not accelerate to the appropriate speeds as the car was "thinking" the brakes were being applied and could only approximately drive at 40-50 MPH. The vehicle has been inspected and the above information was confirmed as the issue. No other warnings/messages occurred prior to the piece breaking.

The plastic break switch pad broke when I was driving on the highway. I lost engine power and RPMs were erratic. Brake lights would not turn off even when brakes were not applied. I could not excellorate normally or maintain speed. Upon examination the pad was brittle and yellowing. There is already a safety recall for this part but only in certain states that does not include Arizona.

The contact stated that he opened the windows within 5 minutes the odor was gone. The contact stated while driving the air conditioning was not providing cold air and the front windshield started to become foggy, causing visibility issue while attempting to see the roadway. The contact also noticed a fuel leak on the fuel hose line. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle in rush hour traffic, the vehicle experienced total brake failure and the brake failure message had displayed. The contact had to use the parking brake to stop the vehicle while in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The contact indicated that the vehicle had been serviced by the local mechanic on multiple occasions for the same failure and the brake master cylinder and brake booster were replaced. The vehicle was also taken to the local dealer who readjusted the brake pads but the failure continued. The contact also indicated that the failure had occurred during very hot temperature days. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 67,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V011000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, while driving with the cruise control activated, the brake pedal was depressed but instead the vehicle accelerated and failed to stop as needed. The contact stated that an excessive amount of pressure was needed to depress the brake pedal while stopping the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure only occurred while the cruise control was activated. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer and the mechanic was also able to duplicate the failure. The dealer diagnosed that the cruise control had malfunctioned and caused the brakes to not operate as needed to deactivate the cruise control. The dealer replaced the cruise control switch; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 54,000.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) and 20V331000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the passenger’s side door ajar warning light was illuminated while the door was securely closed. Additionally, the back over protection camera occasionally went black; however, the camera regained proper function after a message appeared on the instrument cluster. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The ac on my mustang has gone out 3 times causing my windshield to fog up and making it very hard to see through. From my understanding Ford already knows about this problem and the defective ac compressor and evap. I have been having problems with the ac since 20 thousand miles. I also have oil leaking onto my driver side floorboard from a bad master slave cylinder. This also started around 20 thousand miles and Ford did not want to warranty it even though the car was still under manufacture warranty. They said that it doesn’t fall under power tran warranty which does not make sense. This makes it unsafe to drive when your foot becomes slippery from oil. I also have rust all over my hood that Ford did not want to cover under their 5 year paint warranty. Very disappointed by Ford and the low quality product they knowingly put out.

While on vacation (my car was at home) a piece in my brakes broke and caused my break lights to be on constantly. When I tried starting my car the battery was dead. The break likes being on like they were ended up causing my battery to corrode by time I got home from the continuous energy drain. I was able to jumpstart my car but when I went to put my car in drive the vehicle would not accelerate over pretty much idling. When I got my car towed to the dealership (Gary Yeoman's) they told me the break bumper disintegrated and caused my break lights to be on and a vehicle acceleration override to be engaged.

The Aluminum cast Crossmember that supports the transmission is cracked and split in several places .Shifting and or jumping in or out of gear .The dealer wanted $800.00 dollars to replace a $132. part That is hard to find in the marketplace ,because of others buying these faulty parts up ! No warning signs except hard to shift , cracked part was found by Benson ford in Easley S.C. The car has less than 70,000 miles on it . No warnings whatsoever !

A few months later, the contact stated that the passenger’s door started to rattle and independently opened while driving without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle was no longer under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the recall and the contact was referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

BOUGHT A 2015 MUSTANG GT FEB 28 AT 9PM WITH 19200 MILES ON IT. MARCH 1 I NOTICED THE CAR HAD 3 DIFFERENT TIRES BRANDS ON IT. THE CAR PULLS BAD TO THE LEFT UNDER ACCELERATION, WHEN YOU LET OFF THE GAS IT PULLS RIGHT. LAUREL FORD DID A 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT ON THE CAR AND IT STILL PULLS. NOW THEY SAY IT IS THE STRUTS AND THE ORDED 2 NEW ONES FOR THE FROUNT. I THINK IT IS THE TIRES NOT THE STRUTS BUT THEY WON'T REPLACE THE TIRES BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAFT TO PAY FOR THEM. THEY ONLY WANT TO REPLACE PARTS THAT WARRANTY WILL PAY FOR. THEY SAID NO WAY THEY WOULD PAY FOR 4 NEW TIRES. 2015 MUSTANG 2.3 L ECOBOOST, WHEN AT IDEAL FOR MORE THEN 5 - 10 MIN. IT STARTS SMOKING WHITE SMOKE FROM THE TAIL PIPES, THE LONGER IT SITS THE HEAVIER THE SMOKE GETS. STEERING : SOMETIMES WHEN TURNING LEFT THE STEERING WHEEL DOESN'T RETURN TO CENTER, I HAVE TO PULL THE STEERING WHEEL, AS IF IT IS STUCK. TRANSMISSION FEELS LIKE IT SHIFTS HARD SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. PASSENGER AIRBAG : WHEN SOMEONE IS RIDING WITH ME THE AIRBAG TURNS OFF. DRIVER SIDE SEAT: HAS COOLED SEATS. DOESN'T WORK ALL THE TIME, STATES IT IS ON, BUT NOT FEELING ANYTHING COOL. CONTACTED FORD AND THEY WILL NOT DO MUCH ABOUT IT. EXCEPT TELL ME TO BRING IT TO THE SHOP.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY IN REVERSE INTO A DITCH AND CRASHED INTO A RETAINING WALL. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE CRASH SCENE TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,800.

ON A MONDAY MORNING, I GET IN MY CAR TO GO TO WORK AND THE VEHICLE'S WARNING SENSORS START TO GO OFF INDICATING THAT MY LEFT REAR TIRE HAS ONLY 15 PSI. NOW, ONLY THE NIGHT BEFORE, I WAS DRIVING AROUND WITH NO PROBLEMS ON MY TIRES SO THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE I MUST HAVE PICKED UP SOMETHING ON MY WAY HOME LIKE A NAIL OR A SCREW. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE NEAREST TIRE SHOP AND WHEN THEY INSPECTED THE TIRE THEY INDICATED THERE WAS A BULGE IN THE INNER EXTERIOR OF THE TIRE. WHEN I ASKED THEM WHAT THAT MEANT THEY INFORMED ME THAT A BULGE USUALLY CREATED WHEN DRIVING THROUGH A POTHOLE. I WAS INDICATED THAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN A SIGNIFICANT POTHOLE TO CREATE SUCH A CONDITION ON A FAIRLY NEW TIRE BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT I NEVER RAN OVER A POTHOLE. THE WHEELS DO NOT HAVE ANY BENDS OR SCRATCHES INDICATING IT WENT THROUGH A POTHOLE THE SIZE OF WHICH NEEDED TO BE SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE DAMAGE. THIS IS A NEW VEHICLE WITH ONLY 4,800 MILES AND FACTORY TIRES. BECAUSE THE BULGE IS AT THE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE, THE ONLY COURSE OF CORRECTIVE ACTION IS THE REPLACE THE TIRE.

MY CAR SINCE 2015 WHEN I PURCHASE MY VEHICLE HAD A TICKING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE. FORD NEVER OPEN THE ENGINE INDICATING THAT IT WILL COST TO MUCH FOR THEM TO FIX IT. ON TOP OF THIS PROBLEM HAS WORSEN AND AIRBEGS, STABILITY AND OTHER PROBLEMS HAS ARISE NOW AND FORD REFUSES TO FIX THEM.

MY ENGINE HAS RANDOMLY SHUT OFF THREE SEPARATE TIMES NOW. I HAVE ABOUT 12,000 MILES ON MT 2015 MUSTANG GT W/PP MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THE FIRST TIME I WAS PARKED AND IT WAS IDLING, MY FRIEND AND I BOTH WITNESSED THE IDLE DIP, THEN 3-5 SECONDS LATER THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. THE SECOND TIME (WAS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS) I WAS CHANGING LANES BECAUSE OF A CAR FAST APPROACHING FROM BEHIND, I DOWNSHIFTED FROM 3RD TO 2ND GEAR (30-40MPH), LET OUT THE CLUTCH SMOOTHLY, PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE CAR DID NOTHING, I LOOKED DOWN AND THE RPM WAS AT 0 AND "PRESS CLUTCH TO START" WAS DISPLAYED ON THE GAUGE CLUSTER SCREEN. I QUICKLY DEPRESSED CLUTCH AND RESTARTED ENGINE AND TOOK OFF TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. THE THIRD TIME HAPPENED TODAY 3/15/2016 I WAS AGAIN AT IDLE AND THE ENGINE JUST SHUT DOWN WITHOUT ME TOUCHING ANYTHING, IT AGAIN DISPLAYED "PRESS CLUTCH TO START". I'VE READ IN FORUMS THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE INTERMITTENTLY, THIS COULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT CAN HAVE DEADLY CONSEQUENCES. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE CORRECTLY RATHER THAN SENDING EVERYONE HOME WITH THE "WE DIDN'T FIND ANY ISSUE" GO-TO RESPONSE. HOPEFULLY PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO GET INJURED, OR GOD FORBID DIE, BEFORE THIS ISSUE IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

CAR IS EXPERIENCING A VIBRATION PROBLEM AT 65 TO 75 MPH, IN 6 GEAR, AND ENGINE IS AT 1750 RPM. VIBRATION IS DUPLICATED AGAIN, IN 5TH GEAR, AND ENGINE IS AT 2500 RPM. ALSO, WITH CAR IN THE STOP POSITION, CAR IN NEUTRAL, WITH CLUTCH IN OR OUT, SLOWLY REVVING THE ENGINE VIBRATION OCCURS AT 1500 TO 1750 RPMS. ALSO IF YOU QUICKLY REV THE ENGINE TO 2500 RPM AND DROP REVS SLOWLY VIBRATION REOCCURS AT 1750 TO 1500 RPM. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN PRESENT WITH INITIAL PURCHASE OF VEHICLE, DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS TIRES AND DRIVE IT FOR AWHILE. THE CAR HAS SINCE BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES, REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES, FORCE ROAD BALANCED 3 TIMES, AND HAS BEEN TO SECOND FORD DEALERSHIP FOR CONFIRMING VIBRATION PROBLEM. SECOND DEALERSHIP ALSO HAD ANOTHER NEW MUSTANG EXPERIENCING SAME VIBRATION AND COULD NOT BE FIXED. FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS DECLARED THE VIBRATION PROBLEM IS WITHIN SPECS FOR MUSTANGS AND HAS DECLARED IT "NORMAL OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS" FOR MUSTANGS. AT THIS POINT MY CASE WITH FORD HAS BEEN CLOSED. IF THIS VIBRATION PROBLEM IS OCCURRING IN 40 PERCENT OF MUSTANGS AS A PRIOR COMPLAINT HAS STATED THEN FORD MOTORS NEED TO ADDRESS IT AND NOT IGNORE IT.

INSTRUMENT GAUGES, TACHOMETER / SPEEDOMETER ARE SUBDUE NO LIGHTING DURING DAY LIGHT DRIVING. COMES AND GOES. SAFETY HAZARD DRIVER DIVERSION. THE ABOVE VEHICLE IS A 2015 FORD MUSTANG ECO-BOOST CONVERTIBLE. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. WHEN A VEHICLE IN FRONT SLOWS BELOW A SET SPEED OR A VEHICLE CUTS THE CAR OFF THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SLOWS THE CAR DOWN, OR STOPS IT, TO KEEP A PREDETERMINED DISTANCE. ACCORDING TO FORD THE SLOWING IS DONE BY THE ENGINE AND NOT THE BRAKES. ONCE THE VEHICLE SLOWS, AND IT IS SAFE, IT BEGINS TO ACCELERATE BACK TO THE SET CRUISE CONTROL SPEED. THE SLOWING, NOT BEING DONE BY THE BRAKING SYSTEM, DOES NOT ACTIVATE THE BRAKE LIGHTS. ONLY WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS STEPPED ON WILL THE BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WHICH ALSO WOULD DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL. WE HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF INCIDENTS IN WHICH THE VEHICLE BEHIND DOES NOT SEE THE CAR SLOWING, BY BRAKE LIGHTS, AND CLOSES AT A RAPID SPEED ON THE REAR OF THE CAR. LOOKING AT A DODGE RAM CLOSING, NOT KNOWING IT'S GOING TO STOP, CAN BE A BIT UNNERVING. I HAVE RECENTLY READ THAT THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING MAY BE INSTALLED ON FUTURE VEHICLES AS A STANDARD OPTION. I CAN'T IMAGINE THAT KEEPING A VEHICLE FROM CRASHING INTO A FORWARD MOVING VEHICLE IS ANY MORE OR LESS IMPORTANT THEN BEING STRUCK IN THE REAR BECAUSE BRAKE LIGHTS DON'T COME ON. I AM CERTAINLY MORE CAUTIOUS DRIVING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ON BECAUSE OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE TALKED TO FORD "CUSTOMER RELATIONS DEPT" WHO WEREN'T SURE HOW TO FOLLOW THIS UP BUT TO SENT IT UP THE LADDER. I HAVE A FORD CASE #CAS-7876013. ...UPDATED 12/29/15 *BF ACCORDING TO FORD, THE SLOWING IS DONE BY THE ENGINE AND NOT THE BRAKES. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND WHEN I TRIED TO BRAKE FOR A STOP LIGHT THE BRAKE PEDAL PULSED AGAINST THE PRESSURE OF MY FOOT AND WOULD NOT LET ME STOP. I USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO KEEP FROM WRECKING MY VEHICLE INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I DECIDED TO GO DIRECTLY TO MY WORKPLACE, USING MY EMERGENCY BAKE TO STOP AT EACH LIGHT/STOPSIGN, AFTER THIS HAPPENED. IN ADDITION TO THE BRAKE ISSUE, WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE FROM STOP THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE VERY SLOWLY AS IF IN A LIMP MODE. NO LIGHTS HAVE APPEARED ON MY DASH AND FORD HAS TOLD ME THERE ARE NO CODES STORED. THEY SAY THAT HAVING IT TOWED HAS RESET MY VEHICLE?!? FORD HAS TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE THEY DONT SEE ANY CODES STORED IN THE COMPUTER I SHOULD PICK UP MY VEHICLE AND DRIVE OFF WITH IT. MY FATHER OWNES A MOBILE ELECTRONICS SHOP AND HAS SEEN LOTS OF DIFFERENT ISSUES ON MANY VEHICLES WHERE THE CPU'S IN THE VEHICLE HAS ISSUES AND CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO ACT IN MANY FAULTY WAYS. SOME WITH CODES, OTHERS WITHOUT. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE CPU'S IN MY VEHICLE HAVE A DEFECT CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO ACT THIS WAY. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE DRIVING THIS CAR NOW AND DO NOT AGREE WITH FORD THAT I SHOULD CONTINUE DRIVING MY VEHICLE.

I FAILED TO LEAVE THE CAR IN 1ST GEAR ON AN APPROXIMATELY 4% GRADE. I ENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE AND LEFT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE REMAINED PARKED IN PLACE FOR 20-30 MINUTES. SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 0 AND 30 MINUTES LATER, THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASED AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED DOWN THE GRADE, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AND NEIGHBOR'S PROPERTY. I AM AN EX-BRAKING ENGINEER AND HAVE REPRODUCED THE DEFECT MULTIPLE TIMES WELL UNDER THE FMVSS 135 PROTOCOL LIMITS OF ACCEPTABLE PERFORMANCE. I COMMUNICATED THIS TO FORD CUSTOMER CARE AND THEY WISH FOR ME TO HAVE BODY DAMAGE REPLACED THROUGH INSURANCE.

WITH ONLY 500+ MILES ON MY CAR TO DATE, I HAVE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHERE MY 2015 MUSTANG GT'S ENGINE SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHEN I AM APPROACHING A STOP AND DISENGAGE THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION TO COAST TO A STOP. THE CAR DOES NOT GIVE ANY INDICATION THAT IT IS EXPERIENCING ANY ISSUES PRIOR TO OR DURING THE SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE SIMPLY DIES. THIS LATEST INCIDENT NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE WHEN I WAS APPROACHING THE RED LIGHT I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL WHILE SLOWING DOWN AND THE LIGHT SUBSEQUENTLY CHANGED QUICKLY TO GREEN--AND MY ENGINE DIED. THE CAR BEHIND ME HAD ALREADY ACCELERATED EXPECTING ME TO PROCEED BUT I WAS COASTING WHILE TRYING TO RESTART THE CAR. FORTUNATELY, THERE WAS NO REAR END IMPACT AND I RESTARTED THE CAR AND PROCEEDED. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS HOW RANDOM IT IS. FORD NEEDS TO FIGURE THIS OUT QUICK BEFORE SOMEBODY GETS HURT OR KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT RELATED TO THIS ISSUE. FORD HAS FAILED TO MAKE A SPARE WHEEL/TIRE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2015 MUSTANG. IT IS NOT STANDARD ON ALL VEHICLES (A TIRE INFLATION KIT IS ALL IT COMES WITH) AND THE SPARE WHEEL/TIRE IS ON BACK ORDER FOR ALL DEALERSHIPS BECAUSE SUPPLY IS LOW AND PRODUCTION IS BEING PRIORITIZED OVER OWNER AVAILABILITY. THEREFORE, I AM STUCK WITHOUT A SPARE WHEEL/TIRE. I HAVE EVEN TRIED TO PROCURE AN AFTERMARKET SPARE AND 3 DIFFERENT TIRE STORES HAVE TOLD ME THEY DO NOT HAVE A COMPATIBLE SPARE AVAILABLE.
