WE HAVE BEEN RECEIVING NOTIFICATION FOR OVER A YEAR OF THE RECALL. OWNER HAS CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR, IS THEN CONNECTED TO DEALERSHIP (PHIL LONG FORD) WHERE HE HAS LEFT MESSAGES. THE CALLS ARE NEVER RETURNED AND NO ALTERNATIVE IS OFFERED WHEN HE EXPLAINS THIS TO THE PERSON AT THE RECALL 800 NUMBER

I CONTACTED THE RECALL CENTER BY PHONE AS RECOMMENDED. THE LADY THAT ANSWERED SAID SHE COULD NOT FIND A MATCH BASED ON THE VIN FOR THE RECALL. SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD HAVE A SUPERVISOR CALL ME WITHIN 24 HOURS. THAT WAS WEEKS AGO AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL AND I AM STILL GETTING THESE RECALL NOTICES. PLEASE ADDRESS THE PROBLEM.

The frame on my ranger is so rust the spare tire came out from under the truck . I’ve tried to find a used one but no one has them because this is a problem I’ve come to find out with everyone’s. MY 2007 FORD RANGER PICK UP TRUCK HAS EXTREME PREMATURE RUST TO THE ENTIRE FRAME RESULTING IN IT BEING UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE RUST RESULTED IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE WITH ONLY 83,557 MILES ON IT. THROUGH ONLINE INVESTIGATION AND BY TALKING TO OTHER FORD RANGER OWNERS I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A COMMON AND REOCCURRING PROBLEM WITH THE RANGERS. I KNOW THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL. I KNOW THAT THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT FORMING IN TX OVER THIS EXACT ISSUE. I FEEL THIS WAS DECEPTIVE AND UNFAIR OF BOTH TOWNSEND FORD, THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE USED TRUCK, AND THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY BECAUSE WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THEY KNEW ABOUT THE PREMATURE RUSTING FRAME ISSUE. THE RUST IS SO EXTREME THAT THE SPARE TIRE CARRIAGE UNDERNEATH COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT AND THE TIRE DROPPED TO THE GROUND. ANOTHER PART OF THE ENGINE (THE E-VAP?) HAD TO BE STRAPPED UP FOR FEAR IT WILL DROP TO THE GROUND AS WELL. 2 AUTO MECHANICS AND 2 DEALERS TOLD ME IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND WON'T PASS INSPECTION. (INCLUDING A FORD DEALER) MUCH OF THE SUPPORTING TRUCK FRAME IS COMPLETELY GONE OR FULL OF RUST HOLES AND CRACKS. ONE MECHANIC SUSPECTS THAT THE FRAME WAS NOT TREATED PROPERLY AT THE FACTORY, BECAUSE THE EXTREMELY RUSTED AND DECAYED FRAME IS ONLY ON ONE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, WHILE THE OTHER SIDE HAS ONLY NORMAL SURFACE RUST.THE CURRENT KELLY BLUE BOOK VALUE IS $8,000., BUT I CAN'T SELL IT- IT WON'T PASS INSPECTION, AND I CAN'T DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE.THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN CONTINUALLY SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN BOTH CITY AND COUNTRY AND WAS NEVER ABANDONED.

I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 FORD RANGE WITH ONLY 12,920 MILES ON IT WHEN MY RIGHT FRONT TIRE SUDDENLY LOST AIR. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SLIDE SIDEWAYS ON THE SNOWY ROAD. I WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL BECAUSE NO OTHER CARS WERE AROUND. WHEN THE TIRE WAS INSPECTED THE CAUSE OF THE SUDDEN DEFLATION WAS DETERMINED TO BE A SEVERED TIRE VALVE STEM. THE REST OF THE TIRE VALVES WERE INSPECTED AND 2 MORE VALVES WERE FOUND CRACKED SEVERELY. THESE WERE ORIGINAL VALVES AND TIRES INSTALLED BY FORD AT THE FACTORY. *TR

TIRE VALVE STEM FAILURE ON 2007 FORD RANGER. 1ST FAILURE DEC 08, SECOND FAILURE MAY 09. I JUST RECEIVE A REMINDER LETTER FROM FORD RECOMMENDING CHECKING THE TIRE PRESSURE ROUTINELY AND NOTING THAT THERE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM IDENTIFIED WITH THESE VALVE STEMS. I CHECKED THE REMAINING TWO AND THEY ARE BOTH ABOUT TO FALL OFF. WHY ISN'T THIS A MANDATORY RECALL???? THEY INDICATE THAT IF MY VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY THEY CAN BE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. WELL I DRIVE ALOT AND HAVE 50K ON MY TRUCK. FORD HAS POOR WARRANTIES AND IT IS NOT MY FAULT THEY DID NOT PROPERLY TEST THESE VALVE STEMS PRIOR TO DEPLOYING THEM. WHILE TRYING TO START MY 07 FORD RANGER IT LOST MOST OF ITS POWER ALL OF A SUDDEN. THE ONLY POWER I CAN GET IS ON AUXILIARY (TURNING THE KEY BACK) BUT EVEN THEN ALL I GET ARE WIPERS, DOME LIGHT AND RADIO. THEN WHEN I TURN THE KEY OFF THE FUSE BOXES MAKE A TICKING NOISE. AFTER TESTING ALL FUSES AND CONNECTIONS I FOUND THAT OUT OF 56 TOTAL FUSES (BOTH UNDER THE HOOD AND IN THE CAB) ALL THE FUSES WERE OK BUT 24 OF THE CONNECTIONS WEREN'T RECEIVING POWER. I CAN UNDERSTAND BLOWING FUSES AND MAYBE EVEN A FEW CONNECTIONS BUT TO LOSE THAT MUCH POWER AT ONCE DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT. I'VE ALSO FOUND THAT THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW REPORTS FOR FORDS 2007 ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS BUT AFTER CALLING FORDS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. THEY CLAIM THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM (AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP WANTED TO RAPE ME FOR $1000 WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT) I FIGURED SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIND OUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM BEFORE SOMEONE DOES GET SERIOUSLY HURT. *TR

ON 10-07-2007 MY 2007' FORD RANGER PICK UP BURNED UP IN A FIRE THAT STARTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE AIR BAG WAS. ALSO THE RIGHT KICK PANEL WAS ALSO BURNED. UP. THE FIRE DEPT. CAME OUT PUT THE FIRE OUT AND TOLD US. THERE WAS ANOTHER FORD TRUCK THAT THEY OWNED WHICH DID THE SAME THING, I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT TWO BRAND NEW FORD TRUCKS BOTH OF THEM ARE FORD RANGER P/U AND TOLD THEM THAT I WANTED THEM TO LOAN US A CAR AND CHECK OUT THE FORD RANGER THAT WE STILL OWN THE SERVICE LADY SAID THAT ALL THEY WOULD DO IS TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT IT AND BRING IT IN ON A SAT. AM. Additionally, the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 245,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, I WAS DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY WHEN I HEARD A LOUD TICKING NOISE COMING FROM BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE TICKING NOISE HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE AIR BAGS BUT THE TICKING NOISE IS DEFINTELY COMING FROM THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LOCATION. I HAVE NOT HAD A REPAIR TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSE THE TROUBLE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR REPAIRS IF IT IS AN AIR BAG ISSUE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD RANGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THERE WAS AN EXTREMELY STRONG ODOR OF FUEL FROM INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FUEL LEAKING ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE FUEL LINE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE AS MENTIONED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2010 FORD RANGER UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V126000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

THE TRUCK WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH. FOUND CODES PO171 AND P2195 FOR O2 SENSOR STUCK LEAN AND BANK 1 LEAN. REPLACED B1S1 O2 SENSOR ALSO MASS AIR SENSOR. THIS TRUCK HAS ONLY 33,500 MILES DRIVEN. ALSO HAD TO RELINE FRONT DISC BRAKES ,REPLACE FRONT BRAKE ROTORS AND RELINE REAR BRAKES AND REPLACE BRAKE DRUMS. THIS TRUCK IS NOT DRIVEN HARD. SEEMS LIKE ALOT OF PROBLEMS FOR ONLY 33,500 MILES. *UTR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD RANGER. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER'S SIDE DOORS RATTLE AND SHAKE AS IF SOMETHING WAS LOOSE. THE CONTACT OFTEN HOLDS HIS LEG AGAINST THE DOOR TO LESSEN THE NOISE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. IN ADDITION, THE TAILGATE HANDLE IS MADE OF METAL, COATED WITH PLASTIC AND HAS LEVERS ON BOTH SIDES. THE DRIVER'S SIDE LEVER DETACHED BECAUSE THE LEVERAGE WAS UNEVENLY DISTRIBUTED. 2007 FORD RANGER CUSTOMER STATES THAT THERE IS AN VIOLENT UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING AND SHIMMY BETWEEN 45 TO 65 MPH**CC THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONSUMER TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED, THAT ICE AND SNOW WOULD BUILD UP IN THE GROOVE OF THE WHEEL.
