I WAS NOTIFIED OF SAFETY RECALL UPON INITIAL TITLING OF MY BIKE. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK MY BIKE TO MY NEAREST HONDA SERVICE CENTER IN TAMPA, "EXTREME POWERSPORTS" . THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ASKED ME TO RETURN IN A WEEK AND SAID IT WAS SAFE TO RIDE. I RETURNED ON AGREED DATE & TIME TO HAVE THE RECALL ADDRESSED. AFTER A FEW HOURS I RECEIVED A CALL TO PICK UP MY BIKE AND THAT EVERYTHING WAS OK MY BIKE DID NOT FAIL THE HONDA TEST, SO IT WAS SAFE. NOW A YEAR LATER I FIND THE EXACT LEAKING VENT LINE THAT IS A SAFETY RECALL HAS FAILED AS HONDA SAID IT WOULD. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT EXTREME POWERSPORTS DID NOT PROPERLY INSPECT THE ISSUE. IN FACT THE TECH WA CAUGHT IN A LIE ABOUT MY BIKE FALLING OFF THE LIFT THEY HAD MY BIKE ON. I HAVE DOCUMENTED COMPLAINT AND HAVE VERBAL STATEMENT FROM SERVICE MANAGER STATING MY BIKE WAS DAMAGED WHEN THE TECH FAILED TO SECURE THE MOTORCYCLE. EXTREME POWESPORTS ALSO FAILED TO UPDATE THE DATABASE ABOUT PERFORMING THE RECALL. I BELIEVE IT IS DUE TO THE LACK OF A REQUIRED TOOL TO PERFORM SAID REPAIR. THE PARTS DESK CLERK INFORMED ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A TOOL ON SITE. I WILL BE HIRING A ATTORNEY AND SEEKING DAMAGES AND LEGAL FEES
