The contact owns a 2016 Honda CBR300R motorcycle. The contact stated that while riding approximately 25 MPH, the motorcycle stalled. The contact was unable to restart the motorcycle. The motorcycle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the crank shaft had fused to the connecting rod and the crankshaft assembly needed to be replaced. The motorcycle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not yet contacted regarding the failure. The contact stated that the motorcycle had experienced the failure listed in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V528000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 5,000.

I M GOING TO THE DEALER ASK FOR THE SAFETY CLAIM RECALL ISSUE WITH MY HONDA CBR300R AND THE SERVICE GUY SEND ME TO ANOTHER DEALER TELLING ME THAT THE CLAIM IS ALREADY DID FOR ANOTHER DEALER AND WHEN I HAVE 1 FULL WEEK WAITING AND WHEN I CHECK THE INFORMATION APPEAR LIKE THE RESET FOR THIS CLAIM RECALL DID THE SAME DAY FOR THIS DEALER IN SANTA CLARITA AND THE ISSUE IS CONTINUE WITH MY BIKE. I PAY TRAVELING FOR DROPE MY BIKE TO THIS DEALER AND STILL THEY HAVE MY BIKE THERE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CBR300R MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S BANK ANGLE SENSOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KEN & JOE'S HONDA KAWASAKI KTM (LOCATED AT 21618 GOLDEN TRIANGLE RD, SANTA CLARITA, CA 91350, (661) 254-2909) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BANK ANGLE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 430.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
