Sticky steering input when turning steering wheel, almost feels like the steering wheel slightly locks when doing turns. Most notably to the right.

I purchased a 2019 Honda Civic LX July 3rd 2025 I noticed that the steering front end didn't feel right so I brought it back they still to this day the dealership has the car I cannot drive it on the highway because the steering goes to the left goes to the right I have to keep two hands on the wheel I came close to hitting a tractor trailer cannot drive over 50 mph without it being out of control right now it's at Honda dealership and they're saying they're not sure what's wrong after seeing all the complaints I notified them that I felt that's what the problem was the steering box rack I do not feel safe or trust this car I'm trying to get the dealer to buy the car back

When driving at highway speeds steering sticks. Steering wheel does not move without more effort than usual. Being unable to make small adjustments freely means I must constantly drive with two hands in order to drive straight forward. When I noticed this I searched Honda recalls and found the exact same issue is being recalled for later models. This is a safety related issue because it prevents me from centering the vehicle in the lane.

While driving my 2019 Honda Civic Sport, the steering wheel frequently sticks or feels like it slips when making slight adjustments or turning. This is especially noticeable at highway speeds and during low-speed turns. It requires additional force to correct the steering, leading to overcorrection and a delayed return to the center position. The issue creates a safety concern as it impairs precise vehicle control and is most concerning while making corrections at highway speeds. Multiple owners online are reporting the same symptoms, and there are indications that this may be caused by a faulty EPS gearbox or steering rack. Honda has not issued a recall, and dealerships have not provided a lasting fix.

Steering is sticking similar to other model recalls. Increased friction, will stick in turn and not automatically release , you have to manually turn it back. Taken it to two mechanics who have notified us of recalls with the same issue. Is currently at North Park Honda and is attempting to bill my insurance. My son starts college this year and we're worried it may cause an accident.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

When trying to start the car the car won't turn over. When it finally does start and i am driving it seems to lose power as if it wants to shut down. Im afraid to drive long distances. I looked up recalls based on my vin however nothing comes up but when I look it up based on year make and model it has an open recall for faulty fuel injector that needs to be replaced for the same exact symptoms. Please help as i am 7months pregnant and afraid for my safety.
Jun 27, 2025
The fuel injector on my 2019 honda civic si went bad at 58,000 miles, which is over a $2,000 repair. Not only is this a widespread problem with Honda,..they KNOW about the fuel injectors being faulty and have discontinued the part, instead they have chosen another supplier to manufacturer the injectors without issuing a recall. This is blatantly a known defected part and Honda should immediately compensate/replace affected models. There is also a potential class action lawsuit related to this, by Migliaccio and Rathod, LLP My email is [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I took my car in this morning for a recall. For the fuel pump. It took the dealership very little time to get my car out which was strange for me because originally they told me it would take 4-5 hours. Following the recall I needed gas since I was told to have a little under half a tank. I was on empty following the procedure. While I was pumping gas I had my hand help on the pump. There was not automatic pump enabled. My car keep taking the gas which was weird and then suddenly I saw gas leaking from my fuel point. I stopped the pump instantly. I soon called Honda but there was no pick up for a long time so I began driving a 3 mile trip from my gas station to the dealer. I started with 365 miles of gas remaining. Once I got to the dealer I had 355 miles remaining. Never in the years I have had that car have I seen my car consume so much gas especially on such little trip. Arrived at Honda. They are very nonchalant about the issue and I do not want them to rush the fix and create more damage and a bigger issue

FUEL PUMP INOPERABLE CAUSING MY CAR TO START AND STALL WHILE DRIVING. NEED THIS REPLACED ASAP!
Dec 17, 2024
Car has delayed cranking time. Recently got a new car battery but car has weak, struggling and delayed start up. Video proof has been sent to dealership since issue could not be reproduced while car was there for 4+ hours recently. Recall on fuel pump in the past. Other vehicle models are on current recall list but mine is not. I fear that my car will stall while driving or I will become stranded on the road due to this issue.

The AC Compressor failed and has been leaking refrigerant. I went to Honda of Chantilly to get it fixed. They contacted American Honda who stated that on my Carfax I have a branded title. I called the Maryland MVA who confirmed that my Title for my car is clean. American Honda has a recall on The Ac Shaft compressor and is refusing to replace it. I ended up passing out because it is 105 degrees here and the AC system is failing. When calling Honda of America multiple times I was told that they cannot do anything because that they believe that the title is branded. I offered to show them proof and they are refusing. They still will not service my car and they will not fix the safety issue.

The damage was to my rear windshield on my 2019 Honda Civic LX. The incident happened on March 19th 2025 at 5:30 PM while at a stop light. I heard a big bang or pop and initially thought that a big rock had been thrown at my car and assumed it smashed into the body. I immediately got out of my car and inspected the body quickly on my side only, fearing the light would turn green soon and I would need to resume my drive. I saw no damage. The left turn light became green and I proceeded to turn left. As I checked my rear view mirror, I noticed that my rear windshield was shattered, being held in place by the tint film. I was confused and did not know what happened. When I arrived at my destination, I inspected the glass and found no signs of an object striking the glass and causing damage. I went to the internet and looked for any incidents similar to what I experienced. I found that other Hondas have "Popped" and "Shattered" rear windshields in the past. The temperature on the date of the incident was a mild 72 degrees and sunny. The last time I used my rear defroster was a week ago. I did not use my AC/Heater on the date of the incident. I plan to see my Honda dealership and make arrangements with Honda or Safelite to get the damage repaired.

Received a recall letter that the part was finally available for repair back in October 2024 and every time I contact my local Honda dealer, they generally give me the answer to call back next month to schedule when it’s in their physical stock. Called today, now March and the Service rep said they’ll call me when the part becomes available. It’s been well over 60 days and haven’t been able to drive my car distance for safety concerns since most travel is on the NJ parkway.

While driving, my car slows down and just stops. I’ve been lucky to pull over and get out of ongoing traffic but then it won’t turn on to the point where I’ve had to get it towed. This has happened 3 times already. It’s a safety hazard.

Many owners of the same car are experiencing water entering from the hood scoop and dripping onto the 4th cylinder causing the coils and spark plug to rust and will throw a check engine light. Honda knows about it and won’t fix it. Clearly there’s a default on how the car was design and Honda should have a fix to correct this issues.

My car started sounding its alarm at 2:30am on its own. After shutting the alarm off and letting it run, I turned it off and entered my house. It repeated five minutes later. I went to drive the car later that day and the battery was inoperable and the acid has neutralized or evaporated. I replaced the battery and the issues continued. Dealer said is was a fuse box issues. Due to cost, I brought the car home. Consulted another mechanic and it is an issue with the Body Control Module. It takes multiple tries to start the car, the fob doesn't lock the car, and it will go into accessory mode by itself.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

I have had the accident mitigation system trigger for no reason causing the vehicle to slam on the brakes and come to a complete stop or close to a complete stop on two separate occasions. The first time this happened the vehicle had relatively low miles. I was driving down the road on a sunny day and the vehicle slammed on the brakes. The second time this happened I was driving to work right before the sun rise. The vehicle again slammed on the brakes all by its self. Thankfully no one was behind me either time.

My vehicle has randomly had the emergency brake assist applied when there was nothing in front of me. Thankfully there were no vehicles behind me & the times that there were it was residential roads that are 25mph. If this continues to happen it could cause an accident, having my vehicle go from 45-55mph to a complete stop with zero warning & no ability to continue driving until the alert disappears from the dash is quite dangerous. I haven’t had my vehicle looked at yet as it’s not something I can easily replicate, but I’ve seen quite a few complaints about it happening so I figured I should report it as well.

I took my 2019 Honda Civic into the dealership because I got a warning signal that says, collision mitigation system problem. The dealership says it needs a part that is back ordered and told me I could drive vehicle until part comes in. It has been several weeks. I am not comfortable driving my vehicle with this warning light on plus whatever they did since I assume this is a vital safety component/system. Also0, I have no cruise which makes long trips uncomfortable.

I OWN A 6 SPEED MANUAL SPORT COUPE PURCHASED ON 5/30/19. ON 2/10/20 I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT ON A SLIGHT DOWNHILL 15- 20' BEHIND CAR IN FRONT. SHIFT WAS IN NEUTRAL WITH MY FOOT ON BRAKE PEDAL. AFTER A WHILE, MY CAR STARTED MOVING FORWARD. I PUSHED HARDER ON THE BRAKE PEDEAL BUT NO RESPONSE AND COASTED INTO REAR OF CAR. ONE PERSON IN EACH CAR AND NOBODY INJURED. FEARFUL THAT BRAKE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR AGAIN, HAD CAR TOWED TO LOCAL HONDA DEALER WHERE PURCHASED. RECEIPT TO ME INDICTED THEY DID DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, INSPECTED BRAKE SYSTEM AND TEST DROVE CAR. "ADVISED CUSTOMER NO PROBLEMS AT THE MOMENT". AS NOTED BEFORE TESTING, SINCE NO MANUFACTURER DEFECTS FOUND WAS CHARGED $139.95. ON 2/11, RECEIVED CALL FROM MGR. OF HONDA SVC. DEPT. DUE TO MY NEGATIVE SURVEY RESPONSES. TOLD HIM I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH ANSWER BY EMPLOYEE TO MY QUESTION OF WHY FORWARD COLLISION MITIGATION/FCM DID NOT BRAKE WHEN GETTING CLOSE TO CAR. MGR. STATED THAT FCM IS DESIGNED NOT TO WORK WHEN CAR IN NEUTRAL OR REVERSE. I CONSIDER LACK OF FCM IN NEUTRAL TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY DESIGN FLAW. MGR. THEN RECOMMENDED THAT I OPEN CASE WITH HONDA CUSTOMER RELATIONS WHICH DONE ON 2/14. REP. TOOK DOWN MY INFO. AND ASKED WHAT I WANTED FROM HONDA. I SAID THEY NEED TO DETERMINE WHY THE BRAKE FAILURE HAPPENED AND WHAT CAN BE DONE SO I HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT IT WILL NEVER OCCUR AGAIN. SHE THEN GAVE ME A CASE # AND STATED THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE REFERRED TO THE "LEVEL 1" DEPT. HANDLING ACCIDENTS/INJURIES/FATALITIES. RECEIVED A CALL FROM "LEVEL 1" ON 2/17 BUT WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO/WAS A LOCAL DEALER ISSUE AND HE WAS TO CONTACT THE MGR. OF THE LOCAL HONDA SVC. DEPT. I SENT VOICE/E-MAILS TO MGR. I purchased my car in December 2018. My car is a 2019 Honda Civic SI coupe I didn’t have any problems with my car other than two big dents on the top next to my sunroof. I notified the dealership in the beginning of summer of 2022 and they looked at it and told me that that was caused by me going too fast on a corner He literally told me with a straight face and I was very mad so I took it to a body shop Explain to him and showed him what the problem was. He then told me that he had another car come in for the same problem and I’m wondering if anybody else is having the same problem. The Body shop owner told me that that was caused by some weak points on the structure from the sunroof and to repair it. They would have to take some of the interior out and straighten it out from the inside if anyone else is having this problem, please let me know.

My 2019 Honda Civic is experiencing paint chipping on the mirrors and door handles. I've noticed others reporting similar problems. The paint is literally bubbling off. When I contacted Honda of America, they acknowledged that it's atypical and indicative of a product defect, but stated they couldn't assist as it's out of warranty and no recalls have been issued at this time. It’s crazy to me a car that spends the majority of the time in a garage has this type of issue. Keep in mind that I live in Southern California where we don’t experience much in the realm of harsh weather.

On 01/15/2023 my son was driving on a highway in our 2019 Honda Civic LX when he heard a scary grinding sound under the car. He was forced to stop on the side of the highway only to discover that the splash shield at the bottom of the car was almost disconnected from the car itself. Upon closer inspection at home, we discovered that splash shield is only held in place by 3 fasteners instead of 8 that is needed. Quick internet search shows numerous cases when the splash shield is not installed correctly after the oil change causing it to disconnect eventually. The oil change on the was performed on 08/01/2022 at HONDA CITY dealership. No one touched the bottom of the car afterwards. We contacted the dealership and on 01/16 I had a conversation with a manager who advised to visit it. On 01/17 my son went there and was told that it disconnected for unknown reasons and dealership is not responsible. The dealership manager stated, engine splash cover disconnected by “natural causes”. An unexpected loud grinding noise while driving on a highway almost caused an accident (he almost lost control of the car). If it is a design issue (as stated there are numerous cases of engine splash guard disconnecting documented online) I believe Honda must issue a recall to replace it / address the issue.

My trunk opens on it’s own while riding down the road! Every day several times a day I have to pull over and close my trunk because it opens on its own! It’s very dangerous as I have had things fly out of my truck bc of this! I just bought the car in October 2022! There are a lot of other complaints online when I looked up why does my trunk keep opening on my 2019 civic! From my understanding it is the 2019-2020 Honda civics! IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY!

The contact stated that while depressing the clutch, the vehicle was vibrating, and the engine revved up, but the clutch felt as if it was slipping. The failure was most persistent between 1st and 2nd gear. The contact found a Technical Service Bulletin related to NHTSA ID Number: 10219641 (Power Train); however, the vehicle was not covered under the TSB. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who determined that the clutch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact had not spoken with the persons advised to speak with for assistance yet. The failure mileage was 26,900.

2019 Honda Civic Si (1.5L turbo engine with 6-speed manual transmission) purchased in September 2019 at CPO with 7,000 miles — current mileage 26,638. Honda factory CPO powertrain warranty valid until 11 June 2026 or 100K miles. If the vehicle is parked in gear (either 1st or Rerverse) without applying parking brake on even the slightest grade (uphill or downhill), the vehicle will slowly creep — on a couple of occurrences, the vehicle moved more than 6 feet. This has happened on multiple occasions as I do not always remember to manually apply the parking brake. Once while waiting for a friend to pick up a prescription at a pharmacy, I actually witnessed a "ratchet" effect movement of the vehicle in the parking lot while sitting in the driver's seat. I took the vehicle to Mohawk Honda (Scotia NY) for assessment. My answer was to always set parking brake as documented in owner manual — interestingly, it states the same for vehicles with CVT (automatic) transmissions as opposed to simply putting them in Park. I have owned literally dozens of manual transmission vehicles since 1981, and I have never before experienced this. Service manager (via phone) later blamed low compression engine as incapable of holding vehicle when in gear. Call to Honda Customer Service at the time referred me back to a dealer. I decided to pursue this once again after reading of another manufacturer's recall of a car that would not hold in place while parked.

2019 HONDA CIVIC. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO KEYLESS CVT TRANSMISSION. THE CONSUMER STATED IT WAS POSSIBLE FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE POWERED OFF WHILE IN REVERSE. THIS COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO ROLL AWAY. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED BUT, DID NOT OFFER A SOLUTION.

I had purchased this vehicle on may 27th 2021. On june 10th 2021 the transmission blew out (the car only has 11,992 miles). Even though i was able to purchase an extended warranty it appears that due to a code stored from the previous owner on november 2020 (P0219 engine overrev). The factory warranty is voided. This is unsafe to the consumer as the actual code is a private honda dealership secret, and i had zero way of seeing this code. It was not on carfax and dealerships won’t share information about a vehicle if you were not the owner at the time.

Sometimes whenI go to brake the brake pedal goes all the way up and I can’t press it down to stop the vehicle. This only lasts a few seconds then the brakes return to normal. I believe this may be due to a previous recall. “A common brake issue reported with the 2019 Honda Civic is a potential problem with the brake system due to a faulty tie rod fastener connecting the brake master cylinder and brake booster, which could result in improper braking and is currently subject to a recall by Honda” Not sure why my vehicle is showing 0 recalls under the VIN.

I was stopped at a red light in the left-hand turn lane, waiting to turn left. Light turned green and I accelerated turning left. The car suddenly braked with no car or obstruction in my path. No collision mitigation light warnings came on. The car just slammed on the breaks!! Dealer service manager told me over the phone that unless a code comes up, they really can’t diagnose the issue. I believe this is a design flaw and not an issue with my car that can be addressed by the dealer. I have done research online and found many people reporting this issue and several while turning left. I am very concerned with the safety of this car.

The automatic emergency braking system has flashed across my dash on multiple occasions while actually braked on a handful of times. The system seems to work correctly when its needed, but the concern is it will brake while nothing has been infront of me. I have come to dead stop while going 15 through a empty parking lot. The vehicle is open for inspection at any time. The safety of myself and others is at risk due to faulty detection and can cause an accident with my child in the car. I have not taken it to be inspected or looked at. There has been no warning lights about faults in anything.

It has happened while driving in the city at slow speeds, on the highway at 70-80mph, and most recently while going up ramp to merge onto interstate. The automatic brakes will engage causing my car to slightly brake and I then have to accelerate, especially while on the interstate, to keep the car moving or else it could just stop in the middle of the road with a potential to cause a deadly accident. My cruise control no longer works either. I wonder if these issues are synonymous? My safety and the safety of others is definitely at risk with my car randomly braking with no cars in front of me or next to me. The vehicle routinely gets inspected at my Honda dealership every 6-8 months when I get my oil changed and they have not reported any issues. There have been no warnings on the car prior to these incidents happening. This car has no accidents and currently has 30,000 miles. I would estimate the car had about 28,000 miles when the last incident happened while going up the interstate ramp. The braking system malfunction started at the beginning of 2023 from my knowledge.

Honda won't cover my failing Evaporator for the AC in my 2019 Civic with only 43,000 miles. The AC helps defrost my windshield, it is a safety concern not to mention the scorching heat we get in the California summers. It is absurd that this part is failing already and Honda has admitted to numerous issues throughout the AC systems of these cars but claims no responsibility for the failed evaporator. They do this because it is a labor-intensive part to replace and it is unfair to shoulder this issue on the consumer.

I have been experiencing some rickety, creaking sound on my steering wheel coming from the SRS module for the past month. I've taken the car to the dealer 5 times and they did some work and on my last visit, they decide to replace the airbag module but still up to now the problem persists. I think this is a safety problem that needs to be dealt with before somebody gets hurt.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN A ROAD (WITH MY FRIEND IN THE PASSENGER SEAT NEXT TO ME JUST TO NOTE) THAT IS BEING REPAVED AND IT'S NOT ANYTHING THAT I HAVEN'T DRIVEN ON BEFORE, JUST A LITTLE TINY BIT SHAKY HERE AND THERE BUT AGAIN NOTHING CRAZY. I'M GOING ABOUT 10-15 MPH AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY AIRBAGS JUST GO OFF. NOTHING HIT, NO POTHOLE IN SIGHT, JUST SLOWLY DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND BAM. I WAS SPOOKED AS I COULDN'T BRACE FOR IT AT ALL BECAUSE I WASN'T EXPECTING IT. MY WINDOWS WERE UP SO THE SOUND OF IT COMING OUT BASICALLY WRECKED MY EARS AND IT CAME OUT ALONG WITH A BUNCH OF SMOKE. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND GOT OUT TO LOOK, CONFUSED AS TO WHAT HAD TRIGGERED IT BUT NOTHING, NO DAMAGE TO THE CAR AT ALL, NOTHING HIT. AT HONDA THEY WERE NOT HAVING IT. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY CAN REPLACE IT UNDER WARRANTY IF IT WAS PROVED TO BE A DEFECT. I ARGUED THAT IT MUST BE CONSIDERING I DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING AND WAS DRIVING SLOW AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE ON THE CAR. SHE SAID THEY'LL LIFT IT AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR TO INDICATE THAT THE SENSOR WAS TOUCHED, IT'S INSTANTLY OUT OF WARRANTY AND I NEED TO GO THROUGH INSURANCE. HOW IS THIS OKAY? CLEARLY THIS IS SOME DEFECT WITH THE CAR AND I'M BEING PENALIZED FOR IT. THEY CALLED TODAY FOR THE RESULT AND SAID THE CAR HIT THE GROUND AND DAMAGED THE SENSOR SO IT'S ON ME TO PAY FOR DAMAGES. I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE BECAUSE I FELT NO IMPACT AND WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING THE CAR AFTER IT HAPPENED. I PUT IT IN PARK RIGHT AWAY TO COME OUT BUT ONCE I WAS TOLD BY THE POLICE TO GO TO HONDA I PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE AND SMOOTHLY DROVE OFF TO THE DEALERSHIP. WHAT CAN I DO TO HAVE HONDA ACCEPT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY? I NEVER THOUGHT THAT REGULAR DRIVING ON A SLIGHTLY BUMPY ROAD (BASICALLY FLAT AND PEBBLY) MEANS THAT THE AIRBAGS WOULD GO OFF. THERE WERE MANY CARS ON THAT ROAD YET THEIR AIRBAGS DIDN'T GO OFF. *TR

I purchased this car from Fox Honda a few weeks after it was sold to the car dealership. When I picked up the car and drove home, I noticed noises from the car. I took my car to a body shop nearby to check. The mechanic said one of the tires wasn’t sealed. I continued to hear weird noises coming from the front of my car. A month later, the low-tire-pressure sign appeared. I called the salesperson again, and he said the car was fine due to weather. I was worried, so I took the car to Honda City in Liverpool, NY to get inspected. They got rid of the low-tire-pressure sign. The service of Fox Honda was inadequate as it didn’t make sure the car I bought was inspected throughout before selling it. Everyone convinced me that there was no problem with the car until my car corrupted on January 4, 2021. My son was driving the car home from school. When he made the left turn, he said the car seemed out of balance and then it hit the sidewalk. The speed in the area was about 35mph, and the car was driven slower than the speed because it made a left turn at the intersection. The wheel and front axle on the passenger side fell off from the vehicle. He was scared, so he called 911. Police came, and people on the road all thought it was the strangest thing that ever happened to a car. My husband and I were glad that my son was ok, but a car’s wheel and its axes can’t just fall off like that. My son could end up in the hospital if he drove on the highway. Honda C said my case couldn’t move forward if the body shop at Honda did not give them the inspection report (My insurance did assess the damage, but Honda C did not accept it). The body shop said we had to wait for 2 months, but yesterday, Tuesday 2/21, I met the service manager to ask him to speed up the inspection, and he said Honda C would do it, not him. It was upsetting because both parties stated different things. My pre-paid legal service attorney advised me to report to DMV and the defects to the NHTSA.

The TPMS Sensor keeps turning ON since we bought this vehicle brand new from Lia Honda of Kingston. The problem was reported to American Honda (Case # 11487126). Per their (Honda) advice, the vehicle was brought into the Honda dealership (Lia Honda of Albany and Keeler Honda in Latham) to diagnose this issue. Still, the service technicians were unable to identify the root cause of this issue. The readings from tire pressure for all tires showed no sign of leakage or low tire pressure. The ratings were taken at different intervals and showed the normal tire pressure readings. The issue still exists, and American Honda has not shown any interest in correcting this problem. The vehicle has roughly 7K miles and is still under full factory warranty. Thank you in advance for looking into this matter. -Shakti Chauhan

THE TPMS HAS CAME ON WARNING OF A LOW TIRE. THE TIRES WERE CHECKED AND NONE WERE LOW. THIS HAS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF TIMES. TODAY WHILE DRIVING SOMETHING PUNCTURED THE SIDE WALL OF THE TIRE AND IT WENT FLAT THE TPMS DID NOT INDICATE A LOW TIRE. I PULLED TO A SAFE PLACE AND CHANGED THE FLAT TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT RUNNING AND THE TPMS FINALLY CAME ON WHEN I DROPPED THE FLAT TIRE INTO THE TRUNK. THE TMPS ON MY SONS 2019 CIVIC HAS INDICATED A LOW TIRE A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT TIMES AND THE TIRES ARE AT CORRECT PSI.

TODAY, I WAS DRIVING MY 2019 HONDA CIVIC SPORT TO PERFORMANCE HONDA IN FAIRFIELD, OH FOR A WARRANTY-RELATED PROBLEM REGARDING TPMS AND A FAULTY TIRE. THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS THAT THE FRONT, LEFT TIRE DID NOT HOLD AIR. EVERY FEW DAYS, I HAD TO ADD AIR TO MY TIRES/RESET THE TPMS SYSTEM, AS DESCRIBED BY OWNERS.HONDA.COM. WITHIN THE LAST WEEK, MY FRONT, LEFT, TIRE LOST AIR SO QUICKLY THAT I DECIDED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE. AS OF TODAY, THE VEHICLE HAS 4,000.00 MILES (EXACT). DURING THE TRIP THERE, THE FRONT, LEFT TIRE BLEW OUT AND JERKED ME TO THE LEFT (60 MPH). WHILE EASING INTO THE BRAKE (NOT PUMPING), I STEERED TO THE RIGHT AND PULLED INTO THE SHOULDER LANE. UPON STOPPING, I SHIFTED INTO, "P," AND THEN ACTIVATED THE PARKING BRAKE. THEN, I TOOK MY MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND TURNED ON THE EMERGENCY FLASHERS. I CALLED AAA AND GOT TOWED THE REST OF THE WAY THERE. TPMS NEEDS TO TELL THE DRIVER WHAT THE PRESSURE IS IN EACH TIRE; MY GRANDFATHER HAS A 2019 VEHICLE THAT DOES. AT LEAST I WAS NOT INJURED TODAY!

I was sold a vehicle with no seatbelt in the middle of back seat . I had called the dealer that sold me the car to explain and they told me that why it took me this long to say something that now they think I took the buckle off myself. Very inappropriate for the manager to tell me that nonsense. I don’t sit in the back so I wouldn’t know until I had to buckle my niece in and I couldn’t because there is no buckle in my middle seat in the back. This is a safety hazard and feel very discourage to even make the report because nobody seem to want to help me!

I then find out I had my car has a recall car with my car for the fuel pump. It was change the fuel pump I went home and a few days later I was stuck on the highway my car just shut down in the middle of the highway. My car was towed back to the dealership they found out there was something wrong with the fuel pump said they fixed it it was an error on their behalf. I returned several times after that because the fuel gauge is reading inaccurately. Dealer is unable to tell me what’s wrong. I fill up my car is giving me different readings my car normally falls up to 300+ close to 400 every time I fill up my car and now it’s reads 191, 150 or 140 when I fill up my car. I continue calling to dealership I am not getting a response. I need help with this it’s a safety issue.

The vehicle steering wheel feels stuck in position while driving, it releases the initial sticking feeling when I force the turn and it continues to feel stuck in place every time the steering doesn’t turn to either side and I try to turn again it requires extra force to release the stuck in place feeling. I took to dealership and asked if there was a recall and they told me only on newer models but not on my car model. The initial steering stuck in place causes delay when I need to steer quickly in traffic, I believe t’s a safety concern. My car only has 39137 miles on the odometer.

I brought my car to the dealership Honda North at 382 Newbury Street in Danvers MA on 6/5/25 to repair NHTSA Recall number 23V-858. The vehicle was returned to me on 6/7/25 at which time I was told the interior would have a strong fuel smell for 1-2 days, but that would disappear. After 4 days, the fuel smell worsened and the "Check Engine" light had come on. On 6/11/25 I returned the vehicle to Honda North. When I picked up the vehicle several days later, the fuel odor was minimal, and the check engine light was off. Today [XXX], the check engine light is back on. I plan to call Honda North to schedule what will be my 3rd visit to Honda North for this safety recall repair, which clearly is not being repaired properly, and putting me in further danger of crash or injury. STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
2 complaints
Steering began to "stick", especially at highway speeds and when trying to keep car centered in lane, causing frequent overcorrection and difficulty maintaining lane control. No warning lights, messages, etc. Dealership confirmed and the diagnosis was that the motor powering electric power steering was faulty and steering rack needed to be replaced. First noticed the issue during summer of 2024, became progressively worse, dealership diagnosed and repaired in May 2025.
May 29, 2025
During warming months, especially when driving at highway speeds, the steering becomes "sticky" and creaks when turning the wheel left and right. This issue has been noted in the 11th generation civics with a recall issued, as well as 2016-2018 Civics. The 2019 also suffers from this same issue but no recall has been issued to date. This problem creates an unsafe driving environment where I feel like I could lose control of my vehicle on the highway. I have brought it to the attention of my local dealership many times with no resolve. They suggested an EPS steering rack placement with an out-of-warranty repair (Almost $3500). Communication with Corporate Honda found no sufficient proof there is an issue repairable due to manufacturer defects.

STEERING,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE

I was driving straight going 35mph on a 2 lane rd when my steering wheel starting making a weird noise & almost was shaking. The steering wheel then locked up to the left & wouldn’t move. This caused my driver side tire to go into the curb, & at this point my steering wheel was spinning in circles & all I could do was brake. After bumping off the curb I then was thrusted back over to the right lane (due to having no steering control) where I came to a stop grazing another vehicle. My insurance performed diagnostics on the vehicle & determined the steering rack housing assembly part failed, causing the accident. There was no damage at all to the vehicle that would indicate this part was damaged as result of the incident, therefore they are calling it “pre existing damage” even though Honda did a multipoint inspection on my car 08/03/2024 (not even a whole 3 months prior) that did not mention a single steering problem. It was ultimately determined this failure is what caused the incident. Upon further research I have found millions of Civics are recalled for this issue but not my year of the vehicle. However, I have found countless stories exactly like mine with steering failure all regarding the 2019 Honda Civic. I am now without a vehicle, insurance refused to pay for the failed part, and I have reached out to Honda over 10 times trying to get in contact with someone about this to no avail. I truly was terrified for my life and feel this needs to be addressed because as previously mentioned, there are countless other 2019 Honda Civic owners with the same horrifying stories. This puts not only owners at risk but all other drivers.

My car is not starting properly due to the recall. I reached out to my dealership and they basically told me there is nothing they can do due to the part being on recall. I am a single mother to a [XXX] daughter and with this being my only form of transportation I cannot afford to get a new vehicle or miss work due to not having a vehicle. I am worried my car will stall in the middle of the road with my daughter in it. I am upset the dealership told me there is nothing they can do when it is primary not my fault there is a recall or parts. I understand but this is unfair to costumers for the company not having back up plans in this type of situations. I cannot continue paying for a car that is broken that is out of my control. Is there a different route we can take for this issue ? A replacement ? A refund ? Anything. I don’t mean to be rude. Just very frustrated and upset. On Sunday morning, 8/27/2023, I entered my car after having driven it an hour prior for around 30 minutes to and from a sandwich shop. I entered the vehicle and turned the engine on without issue, and attempted to accelerate. After making it about ten feet, the acceleration on the gas pedal suddenly stopped working. I would push the gas pedal and the car would not move, nor the engine even rev. Confused, I parked and turned the car off and on again. Upon turning the car on, the engine stalled for a brief moment before slowly engaging. It was at that moment that I felt the entire car shifting back and forth, shaking. I immediately shut the car off out of fear and waited for a few moments before making a second attempt, being met with the exact same result. The next day, I entered the vehicle and attempted to turn it on again. This time, it started up and the engine engaged without any issue. However, I was now bombarded by dozens of error messages on my dashboard with systems such as emergency break, ABS, power steering, etc. giving me warnings. This morning, I had a mechanic come out and attempt diagnose the issue. He was confused when running the diagnostic tool through the systems, as he received "permanent codes" regarding several issues with the car. Taking some time to research, his opinion was that there may be an issue with the fuel pump motor. There is an open recall on 2019 Honda Civics for the fuel pump, however my specific vehicle does not seem to show up as needing this fix when I search with my VIN. After taking some time to check things, the Mechanic and myself proceeded to test drive and ensure that the car seemed safe to operate, where the mechanic approved my vehicle and encouraged me to send a report.

When selecting Reverse, the rearview camera usually displays quickly, but sometimes takes several seconds to display, or doesn't display at all (the screen remains black). This detracts from my ability to reverse safely. The radio / vehicle information display usually responds quickly to a button press, but sometimes can take several seconds to respond. Since I don't anticipate the delay, I tend to continue watching the screen while I'm waiting for it to react, instead of paying attention to the road. Especially while driving at highway speeds, these intermittent, variable delays can take my attention away from the road for a dangerous amount of time before I realize I'm not watching the road as I should be. Since the rearview camera uses the radio display, I think these issues may be related. This has been going on since the car was new.

TIRES
2 complaints
In April 2021, I hit went over a large pothole that caused me to get an immediate flat tire on my driver's left front tire (the TPMS system alerted me of low tire pressure). I had the tire replaced. Had no issues until 9/2021 when my TPMS system alerted me that my tire pressure was low. Front left tire was at 26, had problem diagnosed at same tire repair place and they sealed my rim on driver's front left tire. Did not have any more issues until 2022 (unsure of date) but frequently my TPMS system light comes on indicating low tire pressure. I always check tire pressure with gauge at home and my tires are never lower than 29 when I check (front two are supposed to be at 32 and back two are supposed to be at 33). I also live in a warm climate year round. In 2023, my TPMS system alerts me of low tire pressure approximately every 2-3 months when my tires in fact do not have low tire pressure. In the month of December, every time I turn my car on, my TPMS system alerts me of low tire pressure, but they are all normal. I always recalibrate the TPMS system when I get that system alert, but it does not seem to help. My car currently has 30,000 miles and no accidents. I am concerned for the safety of this vehicle in regards to when I may actually have low tire pressure, but because of these frequent and unreliable TPMS alerts I get, I may not recognize if it the tire were actually low while driving. I get my car inspected routinely every 6-8 months when I got my oil changed by the Honda dealership and they have not reported any issues.

The starter was having trouble igniting the engine upon startup. The engine would crank but would not finish with starting up. I did this three or four times. Upon removing the key from the ignition and putting it back in the ignition and starting it up the car started up normally. The issue seems to be with either the ignition system or fuel system, which is available for inspection upon request. The car could suddenly stop without warning on the road and endanger the safety of myself or other drivers. The problem was previously acknowledged by NHTSA in two separate campaign numbers in May 2020 (20V314000) and March 2021 (21V215000) and this particular Civic was serviced in 2021in accordance with that recall and confirmed by the dealer. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

While driving the dash showed a "12 volt battery charging system problem." Continued to drive to a safe location roughly a mile down the road and while enroute all the error lights illuminated and proceeded to state "Tire Pressure Monitor Problem" "Brake System Problem" "Brake Hold System Problem" "Power Steering Problem" and a couple others I don't recall. I lost my power steering while driving and my wipers proceeded to stop working, in a downpour. Contacted AAA who came and ran diagnostics which showed the alternator was dead. I then had to have my vehicle towed instead of driving it to work.

Since April of 2024, my steering has been sticking when making the slightest of turns. It has progressively gotten worse. I initially thought that I needed power steering fluid but that did not correct the issue. This sticky causes my vehicle to veer to the left and right abruptly into other lanes. I am fighting to keep the vehicle straight. I can hear the sticking noise constantly due to the lack of lubrication in the steering gearbox. I am fearful that I may cause an accident and injure myself or others when driving and I would like assistance in having the dealership correct this issue. This issue also causes the sensors for my ABS, Adaptive Cruise control, lane departure etc to malfunction and alarm.

On [XXX], I purchased a 2019 Honda Civic Si (VIN: [XXX] ) from Zeigler Toyota of Racine (WI). At the time of sale, the dealership concealed critical safety-related information, including three major prior damage events (roof, front, rear), multiple Illinois auction sales, and pre-installed aftermarket suspension modifications that prevented proper rear alignment. No disclosures were made. After purchase, I was referred to Zeigler Honda of Racine, where a certified Honda technician confirmed the vehicle could not be aligned due to these undisclosed modifications, and would soon become unsafe to drive. Improper rear alignment creates risks of unpredictable handling, tire failure, and catastrophic loss of control. Zeigler Honda attempted to discreetly order parts without warranty company knowledge and failed to document inspection results or service records, indicating concealment efforts. Zeigler Auto Group operates 84 franchises across 41 locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, and reports annual sales exceeding $2.2 billion. Given their size and multi-state operations, systemic concealment of structural and mechanical safety defects by affiliated dealerships poses a significant public safety threat across state lines. I have submitted complaints to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, DATCP, WisDOT, FTC, BBB, Honda Corporate, and the Illinois Attorney General. Given the severity of the defects, concealment, and Zeigler’s multi-state reach, I respectfully request NHTSA investigate Zeigler Auto Group for patterns of selling unsafe vehicles without proper disclosure. Supporting documentation is available upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Some how my steering wheel is crooked, so while going straight, my wheel is around 2 or 3 inches to the left. If I turn it all the way, in either direction the wheel will click, click, click back, moving back the opposite direction with every click. I've changed both front CV axles, sway bar links, brakes, all 4 tires, bought 2 rims so far. Still having issues. Also makes a cluck sound while braking. stalls while stopping and going a lot. Had fuel recalls done already. When a car is coming have to hit the gas pedal to the floor to get it to go. Almost killed me once while automatically braking while switching lanes. There was an 18 Wheeler in front of me to start off with, I turned my signal on to get over in the lane beside of me, which had another 18 wheeler coming a way back. Once I got over the brakes automatically locked down due to sensing the the truck in the other lane. Every since then I keep that feature off. I wouldn't trade her for anything, it's been a wild ride and she keeps me on my toes. Literally. 120,000, 1 owner, 6 years March 2025!

My emergency braking system goes off constantly without anything in front of me. Headgasket failure at extremely low miles due to poor or flawed design. Vehicle has a valley between the cylinders where the gasket sits begging to be blown out. The low mileage failure rate is tremendous causing numberous drivability issues while on the road. You loose entire throttle control every light on the dash comes on. Every advance system shuts down. You loose every assist feature. It’s all of a sudden and random as well. Pulled out on to the main highway 52 and my car just fell on its face. If I wouldn’t have been in an area safely and quickly to hurry and get out of the way of traffic. It could’ve seriously caused a big accident. Pulling out on a highway or interstate with everything being normal then bam you have no control of the vehicle is a very horrifying situation to have to be subjected to.

Since purchasing the vehicle at around 35k miles there’s been an occasional clicking / knocking noise when turning. I received a notice from Honda dated "February 2024." The notice states that "the fuel pump module may have an improperly molded impeller. Over time the impeller can deform and cause the fuel pump to become inoperable . . . an inoperable fuel pump could prevent an engine from starting, cause a vehicle to lose drive power, or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury." Honda acknowledges the fact that there COULD be an issue with certain of their vehicles, but later states that "[t]he replacement parts needed to repair your vehicle are not currently available but are expected to become available in the fall of 2024." Knowing that Honda wants me to drive a possibly defective vehicle for at least 6 more months while KNOWINGLY allowing me to do so with the "increas[ed] . . . risk of a crash or injury," is extremely concerning. I contacted American Honda Motor Co., Inc. customer service and the representative informed me that she has "made a case" for me and that, "if anything happens, just bring it to a dealer." She could not provide me adequate answers to my follow-up questions. Specifically, I am concerned that, if it does happen, why bring it to a dealer? Honda has explicitly stated in their recall notice that the "parts needed to repair [my] vehicle are not currently available." Additionally, suppose, as Honda cautions, the "risk of a crash or injury" occurs and I do not have the opportunity to make it to a dealership? I, any passengers, or any other driver on the road, Honda operator or not, could become deceased as a result of an "inoperable fuel pump." I also drive a Kia Stinger and, as your agency might be aware, this issue was front and center with Kia a few months ago. Unfortunately, my Stinger fell victim and thankfully, I was in my driveway when it occurred. I am not comfortable driving this 2019 Honda Civic given this information and my past experience. This behavior and "notice" from Honda is evidence of their negligence.

I am bringing it into the dealership tomorrow and also have them check my airbags the light in the dashboard intermittently keeps coming on then after a bit it will turn off. The first time I brought it in for the airbag lights coming on they informed me that it was due to me pulling the seat back to far I am 5 foot four. I don’t normally pull the seat back. It would be more closer to the steering wheel for me, but there was a problem supposedly with the connection that is under the seat it doesn’t make me feel too safe to think that me moving. My seat is going to prevent my airbags from deploying God for bid if I get into an accident.

I was pulling into a gas station when errors started scrolling on the dash, pretty much all of the driver assist options were failing then the power steering error came up and it was almost impossible for me to turn the wheel, luckily I was going slow. Had it towed to a service station and they could not even find out what the codes that were reported meant. So I had it towed to the Honda dealership, they expected rodent damage but found none and neither did the service station. Honda then said it was the battery, but the car started great without even a second of hesitation so I was not sure how it could be the battery. They replaced the battery and said it was fixed $385.00 later. Less than 24hrs later, only about 2 hours of drive time, same issue except this time I was driving on a main road at 50MPH.. I barely managed to slow down and pull over before the steering went out again. I am not confident that the dealership is even going to be able to fix the issue since they thought changing the battery was going to fix it! They are just guessing and to lose the ability to steer my car while driving is a severe safety hazard. I guess I will have to replace the car, only 3 yrs old but OOW, as I will not feel confident it will be safe to drive in the future even if the dealership says they fixed it again. It obviously was not fixed this time!

My camera that is supposed to assist in turning and seeing my blind spot is always malfunctioning in my new 2019 civic. Honda says they can’t do anything about that. I’ve already had to put new tires on my car - which I suspect didn’t have new tires on it when I purchased my new car. Replace the battery, and my electronic features (radio screen and windows) like to stop working and go black - including my side camera that’s meant to assist in lane changes. Additionally, my car melted in the sun. This has been a known issue with Honda since 2011 and they haven’t addressed that issue or gave any warnings. My tires, and camera for blind spots is a safety issue and the fact that my car is unreliable and melting(!) is troublesome and a safety problem.

DRY AND SUNNY, NO LEAVES, NO BREEZE, BARE PAVEMENT. A SWEET JUNE MORNING IN DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY. OUT OF THE BLUE THE CMBS ENGAGED AUTOMATICALLY APPLYING THE BRAKES SO HARD I COULD FEEL THE ABS KICKING ON AND IN MOMENTS I WAS AT A CRAWL, THEN THE CAR SIMPLY BEHAVED NORMALLY AGAIN. I'VE OWNED THIS CAR LESS THAN A WEEK. THERE IS NO MEANS PROVIDED TO SHUT THIS FEATURE OFF PERMANENTLY. THE ONLY WAY TO OVERRIDE THE CMBS IS TO MANUALLY TURN IT OFF EVERY TIME I RESTART THE CAR. IT RESETS EVERY TIME THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. THIS FEATURE MAY WIND UP CAUSING MORE REAR END COLLISIONS AS IT AVOIDS FRONT END COLLISIONS. WHAT WOULD THE CONSEQUENCES BE IF THAT SCENARIO HAPPENED WHILE ON A CURVE, DRIVING 50 MPH IN THE RAIN? OR IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON A HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH (OR FASTER) WHERE COMMUTERS TYPICALLY TAILGATE ACROSS THREE OR FOUR LANES OF TRAFFIC? THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH CMBS IN ANY VEHICLE AND I CONSIDER IT A TOTAL FAILURE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN IT CAN ENGAGE WITH SUCH FORCE WHILE IT'S A FALSE ALARM.

I WAS ON A STATE ROAD EXITING ON A RAMP WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION DRIVING 40 MILES PER HOUR APPROXIMATELY TWO DAYS AGO. THE VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION AND ACCELERATING STOPPED. THE CAR THREW ME BACK AND FORTH CAUSING ME TO GO THE ER THE FOLLOWING DAY. RESTON HOSPITAL IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA. I TOOK THE CAR RIGHT AFTER AND DROPPED OFF AT DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. DEALERSHIP IS NOT GIVING ME ANY CONCRETE ANSWERS IF THE CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE AGAIN. I READ ONLINE A OWNER OF A HONDA 2019 CIVIC SAME AS MINE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM OF STOPPING WHILE IN MOTION WHILE ON A HIGHWAY SUDDENLY. I DO HAVE PRODUCT UPDATE: FUEL LEVEL SENSOR DTC SPACE P0461 SOFTWARE UPDATE NOTICE FROM HONDA I JUST RECEIVED. DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS INVOLVED WITH MY CURRENT INCIDENT? I'M SCARED TO DRIVE MY NEW CAR AND NOW IN PAIN MEDICINE , MUSCLE RELAXER MEDICINE AND HAVE BEEN ISSUED A PLAN TO GO TO PHYSICAL THERAPY FROM THE DOCTOR ON CALL AT THE ER.

ON THE DRIVER SIDE, IT HAS SOME WEIRD NOISE OR SOUND. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE METAL RUBBING WITH THE CAR. SEARCHED THE PROBLEM ONLINE BEFORE AND FOUND A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. SOMETIME EVEN GOING STRAIGHT STILL ABLE TO HEAR IT.

ON DECEMBER 20, I BOUGHT THE CAR, HONDA CIVIC TYPE R 2019 RED. APPROXIMATELY THE DAY I BOUGHT IT, I NOTICED THAT WHEN I PUT THE SECOND CHANGE TO A STRANGE NOISE, I TOLD THE SELLER [XXX] AND HE TOLD ME THAT MAYBE IT IS ME WHO IS THROWING THE WRONG CHANGES. TIME PASSES AND I KEEP GOING MORE OFTEN I CALL AMERICA HONDA THE FOLLOWING MONTH, WHICH WAS IN JANUARY ABOUT 3 WEEKS AFTER BUYING THE VEHICLE AND I TELL THEM THAT I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT EVERY TIME I PUT THE SECOND CHANGE IT MAKES ME AN STRANGE NOISE, ALL THE INFORMATION IS POINTED OUT, THE CASE NUMBER THEY GIVE ME IS # [XXX] AND IN THAT CASE NUMBER IS ALL THE INFORMATION PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED. WHEN I MAKE THE FIRST CHANGE OF OIL AND FILTER OF THE AUTO I COMMUNICATE WHAT OF SAID FAILURE AND THEY TELL ME THE CAR IS WELL MAYBE THEY ARE THEIRS. ON MARCH 24 I NOTICED THAT WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN SECOND PLACE THE CHANGE AFTER SEVERAL DAYS TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER YESTERDAY MARCH 25, 2019 AND TODAY MARCH 26 THE MANAGER CALLS ME IF HE AUTHORIZED IT TO LOWER THE TRANSMISSION SINCE THE CODES THAT THE CAR GAVE HIM DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ACCURATE AND THE TECHNICIAN TELLS HIM THAT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A BAD HANDLING OR A BAD CHANGE AND THERE IS THE COMMUNICATION TO THE SERVICE MANAGER [XXX] THE CAR IS NEW AND SINCE HE BOUGHT IT HAD A FAILURE OF TRANSMISSION SO MISMANAGEMENT CAN NOT BE AND HE TELLS ME THAT THE TECHNICIAN CONFIRM THAT THERE WAS A MISHANDLING OR HONDA GUARANTEE OR THE EXTENDED THAT I PUT ADDITIONAL TO THE CAR WOULD COVER THE DAMAGE AND AT THAT TIME I COMMUNICATE FROM THE BEGINNING COMMUNICATE PROBLEMS OF TRANSMISSION. MY NAME IS [XXX] AND PHONE NUM IS [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *CC *TR

I SKIDDED BACKWARDS DOWN THE STREET IN SNOWY CONDITIONS BECAUSE 2019 HONDA CIVIC SI WAS SHIPPED WITH SUMMER TIRES INSTEAD OF ALL SEASON TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER'S WINDOW STICKER INDICATED THAT ALL SEASON TIRES WERE INSTALLED WHEN IN FACT, THEY WERE SUMMER TIRES WHICH WERE TOTALLY UNSUITED TO DRIVING IN NEW ENGLAND IN WINTER. I ONLY DISCOVERED THIS AFTER I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR. HONDA IS AWARE OF THIS AND HAS ISSUED SERVICE BULLETIN 19-007, BUT HAS NOT NOTIFIED ALL OF THE DEALERS AND HAS NOT CONTACTED THE OWNERS DIRECTLY.
