The contact owns a 2017 Honda CRF1000 equipped with Continental tires, Tire line: TKC 80, Tire size: 90/90/R21, DOT Number: H6LLCHJ192. The contact stated that the front tire was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22T006000 (Tires). The contact stated that there was no failure experienced with the tire; however, in order to receive a replacement, the manufacturer suggested he purchase a new tire. The contact stated that a dealer was not contacted since the tires were purchased online. The motorcycle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue however, there was no guarantee that the contact would be reimbursed for the new tire purchase. The contact was informed that he would receive a new tire under the recall via mail. The contact was concerned of the recall process because he would have two tires in his possession and would later need to dispose of the replacement tire.
