Engine threw a main bearing around 80 thousand miles in 2023, car was not modified other than different muffler on the back and aftermarket wheels and tires which has nothing to do with the engine. Car had oil changes every 3500-4500 miles with MOTUL full synthetic oil. No engines lights were given, car was taken to a Nissan dealership as manufacturer warranty was expired, my extended warranty was fidelity and they declined due to these aftermarket “changes” dealership gave me a quote over 25k dollars which is what I paid for the car in 2019. I understand it’s a luxury brand but these engines are well known for these issues and nothing is done other than some warranty extension for failing turbos which are also terrible and I believe to be the CAUSE of this thrown bearing, I have owned so many Nissans and will most likely never own another after this mistake. Still love the car but the people that buy these deserve better for the cost. The car is currently sitting in a garage because the cost is absurd.

AC COMPRESSOR SEEMS IS OUT OF ALIGNMENT. INFINITI REQUIRES CUSTOMERS TO PERFORM TECHNICAL SUPPLY BULLETIN TO ALIGN AC COMPRESSOR AT OWNER EXPENSE. IF A DRIVE BELT BREAKS WILL DRIVING IT CAN CAUSE COLLATERAL DAMAGE TO ENGINE COMPONENTS ANS POSE A SAFETY RISK TO THE PASSENGERS. MANY VEHICLES AFFECTED.

Engine failed, metal shavings in oil pan and disappearing coolant in the last year. out of warranty and extended warranty denied my replacement engine, they want 36k for an engine and turbos. Crazy

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 INFINITI Q60. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PARK IN A NEARBY PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND WAS TOWED TO INFINITI OF LAS VEGAS (LOCATED AT 5555 W SAHARA AVE, LAS VEGAS, NV 89146, (702) 829-5975) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING BELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.

THE VEHICLE IS VERY NEW- ONLY 7000 MILES ON IT. I WAS DRIVING ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN. THE ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF AND NO POWER. THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN WHILE WE WERE TRAVELLING ON A HIGHWAY!! THERE WERE CHILDREN IN THE CAR, AND LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT BEING STRUCK. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION- WE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THE CAR THEN WOULD NOT START. WE HAD 3/4 TANK OF FUEL. IT REQUIRED TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER , PEPE INFINITI IN WHITE PLAINS, NY. THE DEALER HAS HAD THE VEHICLE OVER A WEEK AND HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT HAPPENED. THEY STATE THAT THE FUEL WAS TESTED FOR CONTAMINANTS BUT CAME BACK CLEAN. NOW THEY WANT TO GIVE THE VEHICLE BACK SAYING THAT THEY DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT "MAYBE" IT WAS THE FUEL. REALLY? THEY HAD FUEL TESTED AND IT WAS FINE. I THINK THEY AND THE MANUFACTURER ARE COVERING THIS UP TO AVOID WIDESPREAD PROBLEMS. HOW CAN THEY NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM? IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN WE CAN POTENTIALLY BE KILLED!! WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER VEHICLES POUT THERE? WHAT IF IT HAPPENS TO THEM? SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE- THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED!!

The automobile has 24,000 miles on it and the sensor for the passenger seat airbag is defective. To repair this, the passenger seat track has to be replaced, at a cost of $8200.00. This is a major safety issue for this automobile.

OCS passenger seat weight sensor failed. Dealership verified this. They say to repair will be $8000 to replace whole seat. This is a common problem with hundreds of complaints mentioned on online forums. There was a recall for this issue on prior year Infiniti models but that recall doesn’t include newer than 2016. Infiniti refuses to replace under warranty. (They replaced the driver seatbelt retractor assembly under warranty, but won’t repair the airbag issue). The weight sensor does not register that someone is sitting in the seat.

Airbag Occupant Sensor for passenger seat ceased to function. "Passenger Airbag Off" indicator light remains on even with passenger in seat. Check airbag light in dash remains lit. Took car to infiniti dealership to diagnose. They quoted $8000 repair price to replace entire seat frame. They claim the sensor is built into the seat frame and individual sensors can not be replaced. The quoted price is more than half the value of the car and is cost prohibitive to repair. I have read many posts where this is a common problem for this car. There was a recall for earlier car models with similar problem but this car is not covered. See Infiniti bulletin [XXX] . It is the same problem. I feel unsafe driving this car now but the repair cost is unreasonable and infiniti should not make the repair so expensive as it compromises the safety of the consumer. The contact owns a 2017 Infiniti Q60. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the seat air bag sensor, requiring the entire passenger’s side seat to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V244000 (Air Bags) but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 48,000.

Car malfunction light comes on spontaneously and runs rough and losses power and rpm can go to 4 at 35 mph and usually happens when car is idling parked for a little while. Them I cut it off and let it sit it goes back to normal. I also had prior problems with it smoking from tailpipe and it’s documented at dealership in Columbia SC and they said it wasn’t smoking enough to replace the turbos at the time but I got a notification from manufacturer about turbo malfunction.

1. The engine and turbos failed making the car un-driveable. 2. My safety was put at risk because I had to immediately pull my car off the road in fear that my car would completely fail or catch fire. 3. Yes 4. There were no warnings prior to the failure. It failed out of nowhere. Proper maintenance was done.

The evening of April 17th, 2022, I started experiencing an issue with my vehicle. My car started making a fluttering noise it sounded like someone was shuffling a deck of cards and the RPMs would get to 3 during acceleration then drop and I’d lose power. There were no warning lights present, no notification or indicators on my dash, no odors, and no smoke emitting from my car. I parked my car at home not knowing what the issue was or where the noise was coming from. The next morning, I called to schedule an appointment and I booked with Infiniti in Timonium. After scheduling my appointment, I went out to check my car and when I started it the noise was still there. It ran for a few seconds then my check engine light cut on. Looking to get a pre-diagnosis to have additional info about the condition of my car I take it to Autozone on liberty road to have codes pulled. The codes that came back were P0014 and P0024 both camshaft codes. However, there were still no other symptoms of odor or smoke just the fluttering noise and now my check engine light. On the way back home my car stalls at Liberty Road and Rolling Road and won’t cut back on. I contacted AAA and had it towed to Infiniti the same day. I was assigned to [XXX] as my service advisor. The car was at Infiniti in Timonium for close to a month when [XXX] reached out to notify me of the presence of sludge and metal shavings in my oil pan and my engine being seized. He was adamant that it came from a lack of maintenance. I was using my third-party warranty and they requested that I send proof of maintenance. I submitted my maintenance invoices to Sean, and he forwarded them to my Warranty Company. I provided invoices for my last 3 oil changes. I wasn’t due for a fourth for another 6-700 miles. I bought my car at 35,796 miles and I’m currently at 70,042 (42 miles out of the power train warranty). I followed manufactures 10k guideline. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Initial fault was no cabin heat. Service department determined coolant was low. Coolant system passed pressure test. Coolant was found to be leaking into cylinders past head gaskets. After head gasket replacement, engine broke down on highway and car was towed to dealership. Catastrophic overheat damage in lower end. Engine long block was replaced to correct. Multiple identical/similar occurrences reported on infinitiq60.org. Failure is normally failed head gasket or porous engine block. 2017 models especially affected. Infiniti consumer affairs completely unresponsive if vehicle is outside powertrain warranty. Safety at risk due to potential engine failure and vehicle stoppage at any time. No indications received at any time indicating failure. Temp gauge never indicated spike or failure. Only indication was lack of cabin heat, but coolant was basically empty. The problem was reproduced by dealer after servicing coolant and seeing subsequent engine internal consumption of coolant. Vehicle was inspected by Infiniti service department and MPP third-party warranty company. All vehicle service records since purchase are available.

The tire developed a bubble in the sidewall. The tire is just over a year old and has less than 1,000 miles on it. All driving is on city roads/interstate. The car has not hit any potholes, curbs, or had any other damage. I am concerned because a review of numerous online comments report the exact same problem with this tire. If you Google "Goodyear Excellence ROF reviews", you will find dozens and dozens of similar comments about sidewall bubbles; many resulting in blowouts. Just as an example, the TireRack.com tire review by tire lists 61 reviews, and almost all mention sidewall bubbles; some happening on multiple tires. I GOT IN AN ACCIDENT WHILE VISITING COLORADO WITH MY SON ON 7/15/2018 I WAS DRIVING FROM BOULDER TO DENVER PASSING THROUGH BROOMFIELD ON HWY 36. THE RENTAL CAR THAT I PICKED UP WHICH WAS SEMI-RANDOM AS I BELONG TO HERTZ PRESIDENT CIRCLE - THEY HAVE SEVERAL CARS TO CHOOSE FROM AS YOU GET OFF. SINCE MY SON WAS WITH ME WE PICKED THE COOLEST LOOKING CAR (BAD MISTAKE ON MY PART - BUT IT WAS FOR JUST 3 DAYS) - IT ENDED UP BEING THE INFINITI COUPE Q60 2017. UNBEKNOWN TO ME AT THIS TIME IT HAS ADAPTIVE STEERING TECHNOLOGY. THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS OR INFORMATION ON THIS FEATURE. THIS FEATURE DID NOT BECOME APPARENT UNTIL THE RAIN ON THAT SUNDAY 7/15/2018. I NOTICED A CONTINUOUS GRINDING SOUND WHILE DRIVING THAT WAS COMING FROM SOMEWHERE. LOWERED MY WINDOWS AND DETERMINED THE SOUND WAS COMING FROM THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL. UPON INSPECTION THE BRAKE PAD WAS CRACKED INTO 2 PIECES AND JAMMED ONTO THE ROTOR. MADE AN IMMEDIATE REPAIR OF ALL BRAKE PADS ON THE CAR BUT PROBLEM PERSISTS. NEW BRAKE PAD STILL MAKES CONTINUOUS CONTACT WITH THE ROTOR WHILE DRIVING AND NOISE GETS WORSE WITH BRAKING. THIS IS NOW CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLIGHTLY PULL TO THE LEFT AT ALL TIMES.

FRONT BRAKE CALIPER CAME APART WHILE DRIVING. IT WAS NO LONGER OVER THE ROTOR OR PAD. TWO CALIPER BOLTS MISSING FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN I HEARD THIS TAPPING SOUND. IT WAS THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER HITTING THE INNER WHEEEL.

THE TOW TRUCK WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE AND AS THE VEHICLE WAS BEING LIFTED ONTO THE TOW TRUCK AND MORE FUEL SPILLED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE LAUDERDALE INFINITI DEALER (900 E SUNRISE BLVD, FORT LAUDERDALE, FL 33304) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL INJECTORS WERE FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.

ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO I DROVE TO MEET MY REALTOR. NORMAL WEATHER IN SOUTH FLORIDA, WINDOWS UP AND SUNROOF CLOSED. WHEN I STOPPED THE CAR TO TALK TO MY REALTOR AT THE BUSINESS LOCATION, I ROLLED THE PASSENGER WINDOW DOWN (DRIVER'S SIDE STILL UP) AFTER TALKING FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS I HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW EXPLODED/SHATTERED. I WASN'T DRIVING, THE CAR HAD STOPPED. THEREFORE NO POSSIBILITY OF ROAD DEBRIS OR FLYING OBJECTS. LUCKILY FOR ME, IT BLEW OUTWARDS RATHER THAN INWARDS SO NO DAMAGE TO MY FACE ETC , BUT IT REALLY SHOOK ME UP. I THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD FIRED A SHOT AT ME. IS THERE ANY OTHER Q60S WITH THIS HAPPENING?

THREE-MONTH-OLD 2017 INFINITI Q60 SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODES. ON THE MORNING OF MAY 22, 2017 AROUND 6:30 AM, I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON MY NORMAL ROUTE WEST ON I-10 GOING THE SPEED LIMIT AND NEAR THE SIEGEN LANE EXIT FIRST HEARD A SMALL POP LIKE SOMETHING HITTING THE WINDSHIELD BUT NO EVIDENCE COULD BE SEEN OF THIS OCCURRING. ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO A MINUTE LATER HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION LIKE A TIRE BLOWOUT THEN A LOT OF ROAD NOISE AND WIND. I PULLED OVER AND STOPPED TO FIND OUT MY SUNROOF GLASS WAS MOSTLY GONE, BROKEN INTO SMALL FRAGMENTS AND A HOLE BLOWN THROUGH. THANKFULLY, MY SUNROOF WAS DOWN, SCREEN CLOSED, AND NO GLASS GOT INTO THE CAR. I INITIALLY THOUGHT SOMETHING HAD HIT IT OR SOMEONE THROUGH SOMETHING. HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO ONE NEAR ME AT THE TIME AND I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF THE HIGHWAY, NOR WAS THERE ANY DEBRIS THAT HIT THE CAR OR ADDITIONAL DAMAGE. IN ADDITION, NOTHING VISIBLE IN THE SUNROOF. FURTHERMORE, THE SUNROOF WAS DOWN AND CLOSED MAKING IMPACT BY DEBRIS VERY HARD. IT WAS RAINING SO I PULLED INTO THE NEAREST GAS STATION, WHICH WAS RACETRAC ON SIEGEN LANE AND REQUESTED A GARBAGE BAG TO COVER THE DAMAGE AND MITIGATE ANY FURTHER DAMAGE FROM THE WEATHER. I PROCEEDED TO CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO MAKE A CLAIM AND REQUEST A TOW TO INFINITI OF BATON ROUGE FOR POTENTIAL REPAIRS. AFTER CONFIRMING A TOW, I BEGAN TO CALL AND GET QUOTES FOR THE REPAIRS. ONCE AT WORK I STARTED TO TALK TO MY CO-WORKERS AND THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I GOOGLE EXPLODING INFINITI SUNROOFS BECAUSE THE OCCURRENCE WAS NOT SOMETHING NORMAL. I BEGAN TO RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS WEIRD OCCURRENCE IS MORE COMMON THAN I THOUGHT. I FOUND VARIOUS OCCURRENCES ACROSS A WIDE VARIETY OF MANUFACTURES AND VEHICLES MODELS. I SUBMITTED A CLAIM TO INFINITI CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND I AM AWAITING A RESPONSE BY COB TOMORROW.

9/8/25 Airbag light is on dealership states it's the occupancy sensor. Must replace the seat frame $7k just for the part. I seen that the QX50 and 60 had same issue and a recall was issued. Could you please help us resolve this issue.

Infiniti called me on 05/08/24 to discuss and review Infiniti Case # [XXX] including Infiniti’s subsequent refusal to remedy a defective SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) sensor on my 2017 Infiniti Q60 with 54,100 miles (VIN: [XXX] ). This defect was confirmed on 05/07/24 by Infiniti of Melbourne Florida through an authorized technician. While I am the original owner of the vehicle, Infiniti stated they will not provide any financial assistance to rectify the issue because the vehicle is outside of the manufacturers warranty, while acknowledging that there have been numerous customer complaints related to this problem and that Infiniti has been aware of defective SRS parts effecting a critical safety device that renders the air bag system inoperable. Moreover, to repair such a deficiency, based on Infiniti’s design, the entire seat must be replaced costing over $8K, an exorbitant and onerous amount, often more than 50% of the vehicles value. This excessive financial charge has deliberately burdened Infiniti owners with a safety related component. For several years this issue has been recurrently discussed on multiple public forums and yet Infiniti has intentionally decided not to remedy this safety issue or provide any assistance or consideration to its customers. I’ve attached an Infiniti forum link (one of dozens) proving that Infiniti has known about this problem going back over a decade and failed to take any action and instead prolonged a predatory pricing scheme that is harming owners. [XXX] ) As a result of Infiniti’s complete intransigence on a safety related matter, the National Hwy. Traffic Safety Admin. (NHTSA), should compel Infiniti to remedy this situation. It’s hoped that Infiniti will take immediate action to correct this situation and not abandon its owners in an untenable, unsafe and unjustifiable predicament. FIRST THE PASSENGER AIRBAG JUST STOP WORKING, THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE DASH WILL NOT GO OUT AND THE DISPLAY LIGHT BY THE GEAR SHIFT SAYS #2 AIRBAG NOT WORKING. SECONDLY WHILE DRIVING THE CAR I GET A SCREACHING SOUND FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THOUGHT IT WAS MAYBE THE SENSOR ON THE BRAKES BUT NOT SURE. JUST HAD WORK DOWN ON THE CAR ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO, THE CAR WOULD NOT COME OUT OF 1ST GEAR. ECM WAS REPLACE AT DEALERSHIP

I recently have bought this car. I had heard an issue with the Serpentine belt/Tensioner and the belts where making a chirp during 1,500- 3,000 rpm. I took it into the dealership 10 days after I bought it while the vehicle was still under factory warranty and they said they inspected the belt system and could not replicate the issue. Later in the year I was able to get a video of the vehicle making the noise and called and scheduled another appointment. After I made the appointment I started researching online I came across I was not the only Consumer having issues with the Serpentine belt/Tensioner and Infiniti put out a Service Bulletin # ITB17-004 in regards to this issue. Looking at the bulletin I discovered that my vin fell in that spectrum of vin related to the service bulletin. I was able to get my car fixed the tensioner and serpentine belt got replaced with my extended warranty. Infiniti would not fix my car because it was past the time period on the powertrain warranty even though my my car only had 36,000 miles when I first discovered the issue. I understand the difference from a service bulletin and a recall. But I want to report this issue because there is obviously a quality issue with these serpentine belts and tensioner in specific to the 3.0 twin turbo engine that could cause a safety issues for consumers. I am advocating for other consumers and their safety because if this serpentine belt and tensioner where to fail while in motion making the car stall and over heat while on the road this could cause sever danger to patrons of the highway and could result in death. This service bulletin issue needs to be turned into a recall.

CAR CONSTANTLY PULLS TO RIGHT OR LEFT SIDE . IF I AM NOT HOLDING THE STEERING WHEEL FIRMLY IT WILL DRAG ME TO EITHER SIDE . I'VE CONTACTED THE DEALER WAS TOLD ALL Q60S DO THIS FOR SOME REASON. I EXPLAINED I AM AFRAID I CAN HAVE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS UNSTEADINESS.

MY 2017 INFINITI Q60 RED SPORT 400 AWD HAD AN AWD ERROR AND MALFUNCTION WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT AROUND 40MPH. THE CAR HAS NO TRACTION AND LOOSED CONTROL AND SLIPPED DURING A LIGHT SNOWING NIGHT.

TAKATA RECALL. THIS CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH 19' RIMS AND DUNLAP RUN FLAT TIRES. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION. I HAVE GOTTEN 5 FLAT TIRES WITHIN A AVERAGE OF 3800 MILES FROM POT HOLES. THIS IS NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AND IS HAZARDOUS AS WELL. EVEN THE SMALLEST POT HOLE CAN CAUSE THE TIRE'S SIDE WALL TO BLOW OUT. YOU CONSTANTLY HAVE TO CHECK THE ROADWAY FOR POT HOLES AS YOU ARE DRIVING ESPECIALLY ON HIGHWAYS WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING 55 MILES AN HOUR. THESE BLOWOUTS HAVE OCCURRED WHEREVER I HAVE ENCOUNTERED A POTHOLE, WHETHER IT WAS IN A SMALL PARKING LOT, SIDE STREET OR HIGHWAY. I WAS TOLD BY DUNLAP THAT THESE TIRES ARE NOT MADE TO DRIVE IN NEW YORK BECAUSE OF THE EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS AND INFINITI KNOWS THIS. THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY ON THESE CARS BY ELIMINATING THE SPARE AND HAVE NO CONCERN FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PEOPLE ON BOARD. I HAD A BLOWOUT IN THE MIDDLE OF A BLIZZARD AND FEARED FOR MY LIFE THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE MAKE IT HOME SINCE YOU CAN ONLY DRIVE 25 TO A MAXIMUM OF 50 MILES WITH THE BLOWOUT. THIS HAZARD WAS NEVER DISCLOSED TO ME WHEN I LEASED THE CAR. THESE TIRES NEED TO BE RECALLED IN NYS AND REPLACED WITH SAFE TIRES.
