I have a 2020 Infiniti QX60. While driving on the interstate I75 the check engine light came on and the car lost power. This was very dangerous as it could have caused a very serious accident. Had to have car towed to dealership. Was told that the transmission needed to be replaced at a cost of $8,600. This suv has only about 75,000 miles. Upon checking the internet I found that this transmission issue has been a problem for a number of years and Infiniti has not adequately addressed it. This is a safety issue and Infiniti should take ownership and fix problem.

I was driving my vehicle and as I was making a turn lost power and almost got struct by a vehicle coming from the other direction I regained power and immediately called Infiniti dealership and spoke to service advisor to have vehicle inspected I recently had the cvt transmission replaced a month prior when I brought suv in I was informed it was not the transmission but the right shaft seal and transfer case were leaking and low on fluid causing the power loss I was told that there was a tsb issued by Nissan in regards to this I believe this should be changed to a recall especially being a chronic issue with these vehicles there should be a safety recall cause of the power loss thank God I regained power I had my wife and kids in the vehicle and was a very nerve racking scenario I contacted corporate Infiniti but they were not helpful at all

There are two problems we have had for many miles. 1. CVT- completely gone at 120K miles but we have had problems almost from the beginning (lease then bought). We were told by the Infiniti dealership they couldn't find anything (30-40K miles approximately) so we let it go thinking maybe it was the carpet mat rubbing up against the gas pedal that made the engine scudder, limp then go fast. Dealership is asking $7K + to replace. -Safety wise the acceleration was lessened. Think of merging on a highway with 18 wheelers on your tail and the car just revs up to 5000 rpms and you are going nowhere. - Infiniti dealership has confirmed the CVT needs to be replaced. - No other inspection(s) has occurred. -The symptoms have been almost all along. Was not identified when at dealership. 2. Rear Coupler. It was replaced in September 2023 with 81,344 miles. And now at approximately 120K miles it needs to be replaced. Again, this is almost from the time of purchase the scrapping noise. We thought it was the tires scrapping when we turned. I find it hard to believe a part can go so quickly (39K miles). $3K + to replace in 2023. -Safety wise the traction in wet weather. - Nissan dealership identified and repaired in September 2023. Provided a 12 month/12K mile warranty. Way too little for the cost of the repair. Infiniti dealership diagnosed this with the CVT. (above) - Nissan dealership said they would need to inspect to determine if there was anything they would do. -The symptons have been almost all along. Was not identified when at dealership.

While driving at a speed of 70mph, on a highway at 4:15 PM temperature approx 55 F an extemely loud sound from my roof happened. I was not under any trees or near any 18 wheelers. No debris seen around my car when it happened. I pulled over when safe and looked at my roof. The sunroof had exploded! nothing else wrong with the car! This could hav caused a terrible accident had I not over-reacted. There was no warning for this explosion. I called the dealership and was told to bring it to a collision center for repair. Now waiting on the parts.

SUNROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 175 HEADING TOWARDS NACOGDOCHES TX. WE HEARD A LOUD POP ALMOST LIKE A TIRE BLOWING OUT, WE GET OUT THE RENTAL CAR TO CHECK ON THE TIRES AND FOUND NOTHING. WE GOT BACK IN AND STARTED DRIVING, WHEN WE HEARD A GUSH OF WIND. WE LOOKED UP AND NOTICED THE CAR HAD A SUNROOF SO WE MOVED THE COVER BACK AND GLASS STARTED TO FLY INTO THE CAR. NOTHING HIT THE GLASS IT JUST EXPLODED OUT OF NOWHERE.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2020 Infiniti QX60. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. Additionally, the transmission was jerking while the vehicle was being driven. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 46,000. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, but no assistance was provided. It was later discovered that the mileage on the Title was 57,000. The VIN was not available.

2020 infinity qx 60 Bought car used in 2024 with 80,000. There is a hesitation when accelerating and sometimes seems to want to die when idling. There is also a knocking sound at times when accelerating. At times I feel transmission skips. When turning right or left or reversing, the wheels seem to creek and almost grind a bit. I am great about maintenance and called to determine if my vin was included in the current recalls. I am told no, but am experiencing the same symptoms described by infinity. Just want to know if there is a any action to take to ensure my 4 kids and I are always safe when traveling and dont end up with thousands in repairs.

My engine is making a knocking noise and wants to stall sometimes. Some other Nissan engines have recalls and I feel like it should include this engine. This is a 2020 and I still owe a lot of money. I should not be having major engine issues. Please look at this engine with the other recalls.

The contact stated that the sound was more evident while turning to the left or the right. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the axle was damaged. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V402000 (SUSPENSION, STEERING): however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

I was driving at approximately 40 mph in clear weather on a familiar straight asphalt roadway in our community. I suddenly heard a loud blast. I thought it was an explosion near the roadway. I was terrified, so I immediately pulled over into a supermarket parking lot. There was a policeman there, and I asked him if he had heard the explosion. He did not hear anything but volunteered to check my vehicle. He found that the sunroof was blown out. My sunshade was closed, so no glass entered the cabin of my car. The policeman found some glass on the road at the location I was driving. I have contacted the dealer service, and they should be calling me back. I Googled "2020 infiniti QX60 sunroof exploding" and have found many others with the same issue. I also found a website that is seeking a class action lawsuit. I am so happy that I had the sunshade closed. In the years we've owned this car, I've opened the sunroof only a few times.

The left rear side window rolled down and won’t roll back up and made clicking sound causing both safety issue driving my kids in a stormy day. I tried to open the door and it opens only 10 percent . I had to go from the other door to get my kid out the car. I owned the car 4 years now and I’m the only owner . I took it to the dealer and they opened the door replaced the window regulator and motor. This a faulty make from manufacture that I End up paying for about $1200 . They refused to cover for it because warranty expired in January 2024 but I only have 51000 miles on it. I had similar car window not rolling back on driver side 2 years ago and they said it was a recall.

I was driving to work and then the vehicle stopped working once I reached a red light. It would not start and had a burning smell with smoke coming out. I had to call the police which they deemed undrivable and not safe. The car said battery but upon inspection it was a starter and possible belt problem. I've only had this car for less than three months and did an initial inspection where everything was deemed good. Now the car has not shown any problems and had an oil change for basic militance. I had no indications what so ever. It is currently being inspected by the dealer but I have heard back. I do know however, The towing company had tried to turn it back on and it was unsuccessful in both attempts. They had to forcefully tow the car which left tire marks.

AIR BAGS,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

I was involved in a multi-car accident on 11/16/23 wile traveling on the 485 Beltway around Charlotte, NC. It was approximately 6 pm, and completely dark. The traffic was very heavy and traveling at 70 mph ( the speed limit) when a car in front of me was stopped. My 2020 Infinity QX60 did NOT alert me of a potential frontal collision, nor did the car begin braking. I slammed on the brakes, but was unable to keep from hitting the car in front of me. I was then hit in my rear by the car in back of me. NONE of my airbags went off!!! That is inconceivable since my front end collided with the car in front of me AND the car behind me hit my car's rear end. I have a badly bruised sternum and am in a great deal of pain. It hurts all of the time, and is excruciating when I move. The safety systems FAILED. I'm very fortunate that I wasn't more badly injured. My SUV was towed to Larry Campbell's Towing Storage yard, which is located at 7327 Old Statesville Rd. in Charlotte, NC. 28269. ( All 3 cars involved in the accident were towed). The NC Highway Patrol responded to the accident and a report was written. The local report number is 231116167HA.

In the summer of 2022 (I think Aug) car was stalling when stopped to make a turn. The check engine light flashed but never stayed on after the 1st incident. Brought it to a dealer and was told that the car was fine. Drove it for another two weeks and the same thing happened and no warning lights appeared. Brought it back to the dealer and was diagnosed with faulty fuel injectors after this 2nd visit. I believe all of the fuel injectors were replaced. In May of 2023 car sounded as if it was going to stall again when stopped in traffic. Happened again in early July and again last week. Today, when I was driving the car sounded as if it was going to stall/jerking. No warning lights came on in any of these scenarios. Todays incident is very concerning since this happened while I was driving between 40-50mph. Since May I have brought this car to two different dealers 3x and they can’t find anything wrong. Safety issues when idling and now when driving. It’s not a consistent issue and is unpredictable, which makes it even more concerning. I called a dealer today and was told not to bring it in since no warning lights came on and they already checked the car about two weeks ago. Was advised to drive the car in sport mode for a week to see if this makes a difference. I do a lot of driving and I’m afraid to be on major highways and driving late at night. I now have to make sure that I drive in a lane that has a shoulder in case I need to pull over.

I put my car in Park and got out of car. The car started rolling, it was on a slight grade but it roll into a hill grade and picked up speed. It just missed another car and hit a cement wall. This is not the first time this has happened to me. It had happened three other times but I wasn’t out of my car and was able to stop it and push it harder into park. It was in park but for some reason it didn’t actually go into park electrically. It also wasn’t on a grade. My friend tried to stop the car but it was going too fast by the time he got to it. He did bush burn his knees and hit his back on the street when he fell. We have looked into reports and there have been issues with this model. I believe you should look into this farther. Someone could get hurt seriously if they haven’t already! I think there should be a recall to have the issue repaired so it doesn’t happen in the future. SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

While driving, the vehicle will sometimes think there’s an object (vehicle or something) close in front of me so the brakes will automatically engage, which slows down the vehicle. This is quite alarming as this has happened on several occasions, causing me to almost get hit from the rear. I previously took the vehicle in to report this problem but they couldn’t duplicate it so I was informed that there is no problem. HOWEVER, just because they don’t know how to duplicate it, that doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist. I am concerned about my safety so this needs to be addressed ASAP. Also, for the date of incident, I will use the most recent date.

SUNROOF EXPLODED WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, WE PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY AND CALLED INFINITI CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR TECHNICAL HELP, THEY ASKED ME TO DRIVE TO NEAREST INFINITI RETAIL STORE TO REPLACE THE GLASS. WHEN WE GOT THE STORE, THERE'S NO MECHANIC BECAUSE IT'S SATURDAY. THE STAFF THERE TOLD ME TO COME MONDAY TO SEE IF THEY CAN DETERMINE THE SUNROOF EXPLODED BY ITSELF. THEY HELPED US COVER THE SUNROOF WITH HARDBOARD AND TAPES. WE DROVE TO THE RETAIL STORE--HGREG INFINITI MONROVIA ON MONDAY. THEIR TECHNICIST TOLD US THERE'S NO WAY TO DETERMINE THE REASON OF EXPLOSION WITHOUT CHECKING THE REMAIN GLASS COVERED BY THE HARDBOARD AND CLAIMED THAT THEY NEVER HEARD ABOUT A CASE OF SUNROOF EXPLOSION , IF BROKEN MUST BE HIT BY OTHER STUFF, WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY LYING SINCE YOU CAN SEARCH OUT THOUSANDS OF SUNROOF EXPLODING CASES ONLINE IN ONE MINUTE. WE COULDN'T CONVINCE EACH OTHER, SO I LEFT. THE ONLY HELP I AM SEEKING FROM NHTSA IS TO OFFER A WAY TO DETERMINE THE CAUSING, FOR INSTANCE, AN AUTHENTICATE THIRD PARTY TO TEST THE REMAIN MATERIAL. ONLY WITH THE LEGALLY BINDING EVIDENCE, CAN I SUE THE UNETHICAL COMPANY.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT ABOUT 1:40PM TODAY(03/9/2021). ALL OF SUDDEN HEAR SOME KIND OF LOUD GUN SHOT AND 1 SECOND LATER, MY SUNROOF IS SHATTERED. ALSO, THE FORWARD COLLISION SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY BREAKS BY ITSELF WHEN THERE IS NO VEHICLE OR ANY KIND OF OBJECT.
