The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the steering wheel shifted while turning. The contact self-diagnosed the vehicle and found that there was slack in the track bar and brackets that needed to be reinforced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer or independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.

Negligent service. How could be possible to measure assembly threads without a torque wrench? I regret bringing the vehicle for the recall. Passed two weeks, and the RamCare and dealer did not contact to fix. It's dubious if all performed recall V06 was executed correctly at the dealer. Owners and dealer may think that the recall will not bring any risk for the owner. See attached pictures and the procedure.

Steering has been pulling hard to the right. This makes it harder to steer especially at highway speeds with a larger vehicle. Had two 4 wheel alignments and it was brought to my attention on my last alignment that the nuts on my adjuster sleeve had been cut off and therefore the reason of the bad alignment. They said that this will cause a continual alignment issue if not resolved. I contacted a Dodge dealership and they are willing to do an inspection, but out of my pocket. I really can't afford an inspection since I was told this issued has been under recall in the past. Also there are no stickers or labels indicating a recall was ever performed on the vehicle prior to me purchasing it.

Truck has around 67k miles. When preforming an oil change i checked the drag link knowing that some trucks are recalled. The outer jam but was loose. Called dealership and they said the recall was done. There are no indications that the recall was done. No marks or welds on the nuts as the recall states.

A Recall on the Drag Link Bar was for a bolt coming loose. The recall was to weld the bolt, so Drag Link Bar could not be adjusted or bolt come loose. I am the original owner and in order to do an updated alignment, I now need to buy a new adjustable drag link bar, because the original one can not be adjusted due to the recall fix was to weld a nut, so it cold not back off. So a $80 alignment charge, is now going to cost me $1000 because I have to buy a new Drag Link Bar. I have contacted RAM, they said the will not do anything, they fulfilled the Recall. Why would the NHTSA allow a fix to be a welded nut on a steering arm that might need to be adjusted for alignment? So it would of been better for me to not do the recall and wait for it to fail and then get a new drag link bar. My Drag Link bar does not need to be replaced due to age of vehicle or wear and tear. The Drag Link bar needs to be replaced because the part can not be adjusted, like all other steering parts.

Twice in the same manner my 2014 Ram has sucked the fan shroud through the radiator. When under load (towing under the weight maximum) and moving at highway speeds 60-70 MPH, the fan shroud softens to a point where it is pulled in by the fan and slung through the radiator causing debris and immediate leakage and power loss, effectively stopping the vehicle. This fault has occured twice the same way in the last two years and according to forums is a continuous problem with the trucks

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the mechanic reset the check engine warning light. The contact proceeded to drive the vehicle to the residence. The contact stated that while driving, the gear shifter independently shifted from drive to neutral. The contact noticed a metallic clicking sound that came from the engine compartment. The contact stopped and parked the vehicle into a nearby parking lot. The contact turned the vehicle off and restarted the vehicle and was able to shift the gear shifter into drive. However, the contact continued to notice the clicking sound. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 129,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated while her husband was driving approximately 40 MPH, the transmission shifted independently into neutral(N). The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The driver was able to park on the side of the road and shifted the vehicle into park(P). The contact stated then experienced the failure within 20 minutes. The contact stated that her husband was able to continue driving to his destination. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,700.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle started to jerk, slipped into neutral, with the RPM being raised abnormally. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and continued driving the vehicle very slowly. The vehicle was taken to a local AutoZone to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that 5th and 6th gears were in incorrect gear ratio. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 177,038.

I was contacted to complete a recall on my truck, (67A), which I had performed by the local dealer. The recall notice also said "If you have already experienced this condition and previously paid for a repair, you may be eligible to receive a reimbursement." I spoke to an individual and followed the instructions to submit a claim. With no response, I tried to get a status; to confirm proper items were received electronically. I was told, they were received and the claim was denied? No reason or justification. I tried many times and was disconnected after asking to speak with a manager/supervisor.

I recently received a letter in the mail from FCA US LLC, about an emissions recall (Emissions Recall VB6 or 67A) on this 2014 ram. The recall covered many emissions components including the diesel exhaust fluid components. The recall letter also said that if I had replaced or repaired any of these components in the past, I may be eligible for a reimbursement. I had previously had to replace my Diesel Exhaust Fluid Pump back in 2021 and turned in the receipt for the work, but the claim has been denied. I just wanted to reach out to see if there was anything that done to help possibly get the reimbursement.

After the vehicle sits at night and then started in the morning the engine has a ticking sound. ( cold start ticking) Then when I was on the hiway the vehicles motor locked up.

There is a ticking noise from the 6.4L Hemi that is in this truck. I took it into the dealer and I was told that it was normal. Recently The ticking got so loud that it sounds like the lifters or a rod that will shoot through the engine compartment and injure or kill someone.

The contact believed that there was a possible electrical failure with the fuse lines inside the vehicle around the console. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The TIPM is bad. Truck goes dead whenever it wants. I’ll be driving down the highway and it quits and then you can’t get it to start back. Windshield wipers work sometimes other times they randomly come on.

The grid heater relay failed, it turned on the heater then wouldn’t shut off. This melted the entire wire which could have caused a fire

The electoral component of the climate control started on fire while vehicle was parked and turned off. The truck was deemed a total loss by insurance. There is a fire and police report stating the fire started in the wiring of the climate control. The fire department had to tear out that whole dash part to stop the fire. There was no warning that this was going to happen. We are now stuck with $8000 left to pay on this vehicle that was deemed total loss by American Family Insurance. This was faulty wiring on Dodges behalf.

MY DIGITAL CLUSTER IS OUT. CAN'T SEE INFO IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH TRUCK. IT'S LIKE THE SAME ISSUE WITH RECALL 13V486000 BUT CHRYSLER SAYS IT DOESN'T COVER MY TRUCK. IT HAS LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE I COULDN'T TELL WHAT WAS WRONG WITH TRUCK WHEN IT WAS DINGING.

WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE DOWN THE HIGHWAY I HAD A BUMP/POT HOLE AND STARTED GETTING WHAT IS DESCRIBED AS DEATH WOBBLE IN THE FRONT END. I HAVE HAD THE RECALL DONE ON SOME STEERING COMPONENTS. NOT SURE WHAT THEY WERE. THIS IS HAPPENED TO ME AT LEAST THREE TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH. I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP THEY LOOKED AT THE FRONT END/STEERING COMPONENTS AND SAYS THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 2500 DIESEL. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SHOCK ABSORBER TOWER WAS NOT FULLY WELDED. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE ALIGNMENT TO SHIFT AND WEAR OUT BOTH PASSENGER SIDE TIRES PREMATURELY. THE WELD WAS DISCOVERED TO BE FRACTURED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DESERT SUN ESPANOLA (517 N RIVERSIDE DR, SANTA CRUZ, NM 87567, (505) 747-8100). THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE AND THEY COULD NOT TOUCH OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE DESPITE IT HAVING BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY COVERAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WOULD REPAIR THE VEHICLE HIMSELF. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. ON 9-4-18 TOOK MY RAM 2500 IN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN LOWELL, MICHIGAN FOR THE RECALL R46/NHTSA 15V-541. THEY INDICATED THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO DO THE RECALL AND WOULD CALL WHEN THEY WERE AVAILABLE. I CHECKED WITH THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN ON 10-4-18 AND THEY SAID PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WOULD BE AVAILABLE.

i AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE TPMS. I AM CONSTANTLY GETTING A WARNING THAT THE REAR TIRES NEED TO BE INFLATED TO 80 PSI. THE DOOR JAMB AND THE TIRES SPECIFY 65 PSI MAX COLD. AFTER GOING ON LINE TO HELP WITH FIXING THE PROBLEM I FOUND OUT I AM NOT ALONE. CURRENTLY FOUND OVER 200 COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I AM SURE THERE ARE MANY MORE BECAUSE I DIDN'T ADD MINE TO THE LIST. MY RAM IS 2014 BUT THE YEAR DOESNT SEEM TO MATTER. THE PROBLEMS I FOUND WAS BETWEEN THE YEARS 2013 - 2019. ALL SEEM TO BE MOSTLY 2500 AND 3500. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD SO FAR THEY DONT HAVE A FIX THAT WILL WORK. I NOTICED OTHERS DID THE SAME THING. ALL THE PEOPLE THAT LET THE DEALER FIX THE PROBLEM SOME WERE PUTTING BLACK TAPE OVER THE LIGHT AND IGNORING THE WHOLE SYSTEM. OTHERS WERE JUST DISABLED THE SYSTEM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE IT IS REQUIRED BY LAW. THERE ARE NO RECALLS SO IT MUST BE OKAY TO DISABLE THE SYSTEM SO THAT WARNING LIGHT WONT BE ON ALL THE TIME. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS?

FACTORY TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER SYSTEM SINCE 2015 EVERYTIME I TOW A TRAILER WITH TRAILER BRAKES, I HAVE TRAILER BRAKES RANDOMLY CONNECT AND DISCONNECT. THE TRAILER LIGHTS CONTINUE TO WOULD WHILE THIS IS GOING ON. I HAVE HAD THE WIRING AND TRAILER BRAKING SYSTEM INSPECTED ON MY 32 FT ENCLOSED TRAILER AFTER IT HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME. THEY CLEANED UP THE CONNECTOR AND THERE WAS NO ISSUES WITH THE SYSTEM. I CLEANED AND INSPECTED MY CONNECTOR ON MY TRUCK AND THE TESTER HAS SHOWN EVERYTHING IS POWERING UP RIGHT WHEN I DID IT. I TOOK IT TO DODGE TOWN IN RAPID CITY SOUTH DAKOTA IN 2015 BEFORE I WAS GOING ON A LONG TRIP. THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG AND IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN EVERY TIME I TOW A TRAILER WITH TRAILER BRAKES.

AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE OR WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE DISPLAYS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND MESSAGE ( 5 MPH. MAX SPEED IN 200 MI.) AND STARTS COUNTING DOWN THE MILEAGE. SOMETIMES THE MESSAGE WILL CHANGE AND DISPLAY ( 5 MPH MAX SPEED IN 50 MI., AND START COUNTING DOWN), EVEN THOUGH THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE WAS JUST DISPLAYING 194 MI., UNTIL THE 5 MPH MAX SPEED DERATE WOULD HAPPEN. THE D.E.F. (DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID) GAUGE READS EMPTY, EVEN THOUGH IT IS FULL. SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE WILL DISPLAY A DERATE MESSAGE OF 5 MPH MAX SPEED IN 200 MI. AND TO FILL D.E.F. AND COUNT DOWN, EVEN THOUGH THE D.E.F. TANK IS FULL. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS TO HAVE THE ISSUE RESOLVED AND BOTH DEALERSHIPS HAVE REPLACED THE D.E.F. PUMP WHICH WASN'T UNDER WARRANTY. THE ISSUE STILL HASN'T BEEN RESOLVED AND IS CURRENTLY BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME. RAM HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND CASE HAS BEEN OPENED ABOUT THE ISSUE. WHILE RESEARCHING THE ISSUE MYSELF I HAVE FOUND A RECALL: 25-001-15 REV A, AND RRT 15-063, WHICH STATES THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH D.E.F. LEVEL SENSOR, AND THAT THE D.E.F. PUMP MODULE SHOULD BE REPLACED. THIS ISSUE CAN POTENTIALLY BE A SAFETY RISK IF THE VEHICLE WOULD RANDOMLY JUST DERATE WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY!

I HAVE REPLACED MY STOCK RADIO 3 TIMES. EACH REPLACE WAS THE SAME RAM STOCK RADIO. I HAVE 191,000 MILES ON MY 2014 TRUCK. 1ST RADIO REPLACEMENT WAS 2/6/2017, 2ND 5/11/2018 AND NOW IT DIED AGAIN 3/1/2020. I HAVE WILL BE BUYING THE NEXT ONE THIS WEEK IF THEY HAVE ONE IN STOCK. ALL I AM LOOKING IS FOR RAM TO BUY ME ANOTHER STOCK RADIO..

STARTED SMELLING FUEL IN THE CAB FOLLOWED BY FUEL LEAKING WHILE DRIVING. VEHICLE IS SMOKING FROM THE AMOUNT OF FUEL THAT IS LEAKING. THE ENTIRE UNDER CARRIAGE IS COVERED IN FUEL. THIS IS DUE TO A FAULTY INJECTOR LINE AND # 6 INJECTOR TUBE. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A FIRE AND DEATH.

IN CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE YOU NEED THE VEHICLE TO RESPOND QUICKLY IN ORDER TO AVOID ANOTHER VEHICLE THE ACCELERATOR LAGS FOR 1 TO 3 SECONDS BEFORE RESPONDING. THIS OCCURRED WHILE IN VERY SLOW MOTION CROSSING A CITY STREET. WAS TURNING ACROSS TRACFIC WHERE VEHICLES WERE COMING OVER A HILL.

THE TRUCK IS A CNG MODEL AND THE CNG REGULATOR HAS FAILED. THE TRUCK WILL NOT RUN ON CNG WITHOUT REPLACING THE $1800 PART. THE REGULATOR EMITS THE NATURAL GAS INTO OPEN AIR THAT CAN BE SMELLED IN THE CAB.

Tires are load range E but max load on tire is only 65psi. Truck requires 80 psi tires. Not sure how they can be load range E and only handle 65 psi. Can not tow anything because sidewall of tire is too flimsy to handle load at highway speeds. Tires also have bad vibration at highway speed even though I have tried balancing them multiple times. tire size is 35x12.5x18

I have a set of 285/60R20 Discoverer AT3 XLT tires that I purchased new for my ‘14 Ram 2500 in December of 2020. On June 7th of this year (2023) I had my tire “cave in” in the middle due to the belts in the tire separating. This defect on the tire caused an extreme wobble and made the vehicle unsafe to drive. The tires in question had 33k miles on them and my local dealer said they would not be warrantied and I was forced to pay $900 to replace both front tires. On August 19, the same defect occurred on one of the 2 remaining tires (tires have 37k miles on them). This defect in the belts/cords again cause the tire to “cave in” and have a death wobble while driving down the road. I own numerous vehicles and have been through several sets of tires on each of them and have never experienced 1) an extreme failure of the tire like this and 2) this high of a failure rate (currently at 50%). These tires are unsafe for the road and need to be recalled!

DRIVING DOWN THE I-10 EAST OF JUNCTION I FELT A SLIGHT VIBRATION AND ATTEMPTED TO PULL OVER AND AS I WAS DOING SO THE PASSENGER REAR TIRE BLEW OUT AND BENT IN THE FENDER BED OF MY TRUCK AND BROKE THE STABILIZER BAR FOR THE BED SKIN. THE TREAD SEPARATED FROM THE SIDE WALL. THERE WAS NO TREAD LEFT ON THE TIRE, ONLY SIDEWALLS. I REMOVED THE TIRE AND PUT ON THE SPARE TO GET HOME. WENT TO DISCOUNT TIRE THE NEXT DAY AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SAME TIRE BUT DIFFERENT SIZE. THEY REPLACED THE TIRE WITH A NEW ONE AND FILED A CLAIM WITH KUMHO AND SENT THE DEFECTED TIRE TO THEM.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE RAM 2500. WHILE HAVING THE TIRES REPLACED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VALVE STEMS WERE FRACTURED. AS A RESULT, THE VALVE STEMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT IF THE VALVE STEMS WERE CHANGED, THE FAILURE WOULD STILL RECUR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIRES WERE FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000.

I had the cruise control set. I hit a large bump on the highway. The cruise control shut down along with the back up sensor. The ABS and Anti-Skid lights came up on the dash. Several messages came up on the dash to service the ABS, service the EBS, service the backup sensor. I am concerned that this is going to cause an accident due to the possibility of the brakes locking up and causing a slide that could result in a rollover. This is very concerning to me. Also, I get a credit on my insurance for having ABS on my vehicle. Please contact me or notify me with your intentions. I have been reading on the Ram 2500 forums and it sounds like this is a common failure. Thank you for your time, and interest in my concern.

The ABS motor and module failed burning the wiring harness plug into the module This caused the engine once shut down to not be abled to start the electrics on the dash were flicking on and off 24 hours later engine started and a warning chime noise came from the dash turned engine off wouldn't start again every thing was dead Replaced ABS Module and electric motor as a unit and electric module plug ,reset problem solved About 30000ks later same problem again no warning same as before there was a problem This time dash lights "service ABS" flashing and chiming been told ABS module and motor needs replacing by mechanic

Recently I have had warning lights turn on my dashboard in my truck. Also any time I press the brake petal anti lock brakes lock in. The warning lights are ABS light, and TCS light. As a result of these lights they have also thrown other codes. The check engine light came on shortly after, the service electronic throttle control warning, as well as the BRAKE warning light. I was instructed to check all fuses and replace all ABS sensors to correct the issues. I have replaced all sensors with brand new OEM sensors and it did not fix the problem. I took it to my local mechanic and they said the truck needs a new ABS control module, as well as a new Hydraulic Control Unit/HCU. They preceded calling the Ram dealership to order the parts only to find out that the ABS control module is on back order and I might be able to get one by February. They also said that they stopped making the HCU and don’t have any available because it was a faulty part and they haven’t come up with a new design yet. They said that they aren’t accepting any orders for HCUs until at least February (IF) they have the new design completed by then. But it will most likely be on back order. Upon researching the issues with my truck, I am not alone and there are hundreds of people with the same issue. I think Ram should issue a recall and fix this issue as it is a major safety concern. Many people have lost their brakes while driving from this issue. My mechanic informed me that I could still drive my truck but he wouldn’t because I could very well lose my brakes. I am also concerned that it may cause other issues if it is driven without fixing the issues. So now I am out of my work vehicle until I can get this fixed, but it’s virtually impossible to get it fixed because they are not making the part anymore. TRUCK WAS IN MINOR ACCIDENT, HIT IN REAR. USAA INSURANCE. USAA ADMITTED LIABILITY FOR CLAIM AND REFERRED TO MIKE'S AUTOBODY IN CONCORD, CA. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP FROM THE BODY SHOP I TOLD MIKE'S AUTOBODY THAT THE BRAKES SEEMED TO GO TO THE FLOOR AND THEY WERE FINE WHEN I BROUGHT THE TRUCK IN FOR THE BODY WORK. MIKE'S AUTOBODY REFUSED TO LOOK AT THE BRAKE ISSUE, STATING THAT THEY DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THE NEXT DAY MY SON WAS BORN. GOING TO THE HOSPITAL WITH MY WIFE IN LABOR AND RETURNING WITH MY INFANT SON I NOTICED THE BRAKES ALMOST NOT FUNCTIONING. WE ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT. THE BRAKES CONTINUED TO DEGRADE. A LOCAL BRAKE SHOP INSPECTION REPORT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LINES WERE SMASHED UNDER THE TRUCK BED NOT ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT REMOVAL OF THE TRUCK BED. I AGAIN ASKED MIKE'S TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. I DEMANDED THEY REPAIR OR I WOULD HAVE TO SEEK LEGAL ACTION IF THEY DID NOT TAKE CARE OF THE SAFETY ISSUE THE MANAGE OF MIKE'S AUTOBODY REFUSED AND SAID "SEE YOU IN COURT." DODGE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE BRAKES LINES WERE CRUSHED WHEN MIKE'S AUTOBODY. MY REQUEST IS THAT THE NHTSA ISSUE A CITATION TO MIKE'S AUTOBODY AND USAA INSURANCE FOR FAILING TO ADDRESS A COMPLAINT ABOUT A POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING SAFETY ISSUE TO MOTIVATE THEM TO RESPOND APPROPRIATELY TO SERIOUS HIGHWAY SAFETY ISSUES IN THE FUTURE. THE E-BRAKE ON THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT HOLD EVEN ON A SLIGHT INCLINE. WHEN THE TRUCK IS LIGHT WITH INTERIOR WEIGHT THE E BRAKE WILL NOT HOLD, SO WHEN IT IS HEAVY WITH EQUIPMENT IT IS EVEN WORSE. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS I HAVE COMPLETELY LOST THROTTLE RESPONSE FOR UP TO 3-5 SECONDS. THE MOST SEVERE OCCASIONS ARE WHEN TRYING TO TURN LEFT ACROSS A 2 LANE HIGHWAY OR CHANGING LANES/MERGING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. THE THROTTLE RESPONSE LOSS AKA "DEAD PEDAL" IS HEAVILY DOCUMENTED IN CUMMINS FORUMS IS EASILY DUPLICATED BY BARELY TOUCHING THE THROTTLE, LETTING OFF FOR A SPLIT SECOND, AND THEN HITTING THE THROTTLE AGAIN. THESE STEPS WILL PUT THE TRUCK IN DEAD PEDAL/LOSS OF ACCELERATION FOR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE POWER IS APPLIED AND THE TRUCK STARTS ACCELERATING. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND ONE THAT I TRIED TO IGNORE FOR THE FIRST 50,000 MILES BY BEING PATIENT AND LEAVING LOTS OF ROOM FOR MERGING/TURNING, BUT AFTER A NEAR MISS ACCIDENT THAT COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL IT NEEDS TO BE REPORTED SO CHRYSLER WILL FIX THIS KNOWN ISSUE HAPPENING WITH ALL NEW MODEL 2500'S. ON 11/21/2015 I TRIED TO TURN LEFT ONTO A 2 LANE HIGHWAY AND WAS ALMOST HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC GOING 65 MPH. THIS PARTICULAR HIGHWAY HAS LITTLE VISIBILITY TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC DUE TO A HILL. I TOUCHED THE THROTTLE TO TURN AND THEN HESITATED FOR SPLIT SECOND, BACKING OFF THE THROTTLE, AND THEN DECIDED IT WAS CLEAR AND HIT THE THROTTLE AGAIN BUT THE TRUCK WAS COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE GAINING POWER AGAIN AND ACCELERATING. IT'S HUGE SAFETY CONCERN THAT IF I HIT THE ACCELERATOR IN MY $60K TRUCK IT MAY NOT GO ANYWHERE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS.

WHILE USING THE RAMBOX CARGO SYSTEM, A TORSION ROD POPPED OUT AND NEARLY HIT ME IN THE FACE WITH A LOT OF FORCE. THE TORSION ROD IS ONE OF TWO USED TO KEEP THE CARGO DOOR OPEN ON THE RAMBOX. A METAL TAB THAT WAS KEEPING TENSION ON THE TORSION ROD FAILED SENDING THE ROD TOWARDS MY FACE.

The Front Suspension Track Bar Frame Bracket R46/NHTSA 15V-541. There was a recall issued in 2016 that impacted around an estimated 150,000+ vehicles. I purchased my Truck in 2020, and according to records this problem was fixed in 2016. I recently noticed something seriously wrong with the front suspension while driving, and just about lost control of my vehicle on the highway. After taking it to a certified maintenance technician for Dodge Ram, they found that the Recall was not completed at all. This problem involves faulty welding and the weld can break loose at any given moment without being fixed properly with a stability bracket. Mine gave loose on the highway going 70mph. My concern is how many other vehicles were marked as fixed, but in actuality were not.

WEEKS LATER, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS NOT PROPERLY ALIGNED AND THERE WAS AN EXTREMELY STRONG VIBRATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TIRES WERE INSPECTED AND THE SWAY/TRACK BAR WAS REPLACED A SECOND TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.

I NOTICED THAT WHEN STEERING WAS TURNED HARD LEFT OR RIGHT AND YOU MOVED FORWARD, THERE WAS A CLUNK SOUND. I TOOK INTO DEALER, THEY FOUND NOTHING, LOOKING AT STEERING RACK IN PINION. I NOTICED CRACKS IN THE WELDS ON FRAM WHERE THE CONTROL ARMS ARE. THAT VERY NEXT BUSINESS DAY, I RECEIVED RECALL FOR CRACKED WELD ON TRACK BARBRACKET, I HAVE OTHER AREAS THAT HAVE CRACKED WELDS. I AM A TOOL AND DIE MAKER, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET RAM TO TAKE THE TRUCK TO SEE THE PROBLEM, BUT HAVE BEEN GETTING RUN AROUND. I FEEL THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD CAUSE LOSS IF LIFE. Since purchasing in 2014 I have had my truck in and out of RAM Dealerships for steering issues and braking issues. Repeatedly told that it’s a RAM. A steering linkage recall was received and I took it in to have it done. Problem has been there continuously. The water pump issues continue Brakes are still an issue BUT I have been told at the Dealerships that they are hydraulic and they work differently.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH, he temporarily released the accelerator pedal and when he depressed it again the vehicle failed to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that he veered to the side of the road. The contact stated that after he disconnected and reconnected the battery terminals, he was able to restart the vehicle and the accelerator pedal responded when depressed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the accelerator sensor needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the accelerator sensor was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred five times. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 230,000.

ON DECEMBER 21ST, 2018 I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A CAR WASH. FOLLOWING THE INITIAL CLEANING THE ATTENDANT PLACED THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL, EXITED THE TRUCK, ENGAGED THE TRACK MECHANISM AND WALKED BACK TO THE NEXT TRUCK IN LINE. I WAS IN THE GLASSED IN AREA WATCHING. WITHOUT WARNING THE TRUCK WENT TO FULL THROTTLE RACING THROUGH THE CAR WASH TUNNEL AND HITTING A TOYOTA VAN WAITING TO BE MOVED TO THE NEXT CLEANING POINT. I WATCHED AS THE ATTENDANT TRIED TO RACE DOWN THE TUNNEL AFTER THE TRUCK. JUST AS THE TRUCK STRUCK THE VAN HE ENTERED AND PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK. THE ENGINE SLOWED FROM FULL THROTTLE TO WHAT APPEARED TO BE NORMAL. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHRYSLER. THEY HAD A THIRD PARTY RUN A DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM ON MY TRUCK. THEY SENT THE INFORMATION TO CHRYSLER ENGINEERS. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL TELLING ME CHRYSLER WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INCIDENT. I HAVE WRITTEN THEM AGAIN TELLING THEM I THOUGHT THEIR INVESTIGATION WAS INCOMPLETE SINCE THEY SPOKE TO NO ONE ON STAFF AT THE CAR WASH OR REVIEW THE VIDEO OF THE EVENT. THEY IMPLIED THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY AFTER MARKET MATS. THE PASS. SIDE DASH WAS FALLING APART AND THE CARPET WAS SHREDDING ON THAT SIDE ALSO. THEY ADJUSTED THE SENSORS TO READ THE SAME PRESSURES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE BRAKE DRUM. RESET AND REPROGRAMMED MANY COMPUTER SENSORS. THEN MY KEY FOB QUIT WORKING, REAR SLIDING WINDOW AND TIRE MONITOR SYSTEMS ALL STOPPED WHILE I WAS TRAVELING THE MOUNTAIN PASS AT 75 MPH. Upon starting the trucks engine, putting the transmission in gear (either Reverse or Drive), at idle engine speed (approx 700-800 rpm) or very low (near idle speed) the trucks engine starts to surge from idle then drops down to 500 rpms with a voltage drop (5V) too. It will do this a couple of times and then the trucks engine dies (engine stops) while in gear and no codes are shown on the CEL or saved in the vehicle control module. When I put the transmission in Park, the trucks engine restarts without a problem. But when I go to Drive or Reverse gear it then will do it again. The truck sounds like the engine brake is being applied causing the engine to lug/bog down. The torque converter has been inspected and replaced. The fuel pump/lifter has been replaced. The batteries have been replaced. The fuel filters have been serviced; the crank case breather has been serviced. The emissions controls equipment (EGR valve) have been serviced/cleaned. Knowing that my trucks engine can cut out/die at anytime at low rpms, poses a safety hazard. Knowing that the truck can do this without a code being throw feels unsafe.

I WAS IN A LEFT TURN LANE WAITING FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO PASS BEFORE COMMITING TO MY TURN AT A STOP. I GRADUALLY DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR TO MAKE THE LEFT TURN. THE TRUCK ROLLED FORWARD AT A RATE OF ABOUT 1MPH. WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC APPROACHING, I THEN FULLY DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH NO RESULTS. THERE WAS NO CHANGE IN RPM, NO CHANGE IN ACCELERATION, OR SPEED FOR AN ESTIMATED 3 SECONDS. THE TRUCK THEN SLOWLY ACCELERATED AND I NARROWLY MISSED BEING T-BONED BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS UNSAFE CONDITION WILL ALSO HAPPEN DURING HIGHWAY SPEEDS AFTER RETURNING THE PEDAL TO THE IDLE POSITION AND THEN ACCELERATING TO PASS TRAFFIC OR ENTER ANOTHER LANE. I HAVE LOST 10-20MPH AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WITH MY FOOT FULLY DEPRESSING THE PEDAL. THERE SEEMS TO BE A TOTAL DISCONNECT AT TIMES BETWEEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION AND ENGINE RPM'S/POWER. I WOULD ESTIMATE THE OCCURRENCE OF THIS ISSUE AT 10-15% OF ACCELERATOR INPUTS. THE TRUCK NOW HAS JUST OVER 9,000 MILES AND THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES, SOME NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.

DROVE FOR ABOUT 17 MILES AND PARKED AT A STORE. WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF PARKING THE TRUCK, WHITE SMOKE COULD BE SEEN COMING FROM THE HOOD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. AS I APPROACHED THE TRUCK FLAMES CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD IN THE SAME AREA. GRABBED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND RETURNED WITHIN ONE MINUTE TO FIND ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IN FLAMES. While cleaning and detailing the vehicle on 01/31/23, it was noticed that there is severe cracking in the plastic assembly that holds the seatbelt in place. A malfunction has not yet occurred, but this seems as if it could be a potential hazard once the plastic completely fails. This vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Seatbelt failures put the driver, front passenger and rear passengers, as well as other vehicles, at risk of injury or fatality in an accident. I have not contacted any dealers or independent service centers regarding this issue. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the potential failure. I am unsure of when the cracks first appeared, but have owned the vehicle since 2015.

I NOTICED MY STEERING WHEEL WAS OFF CENTER. ALSO THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM WAS GOING OFF REPEATEDLY. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION AND THEY FOUND NO "CODES" IN THE COMPUTER AND COULD NOT GET THE ESC TO GO OFF WHILE DRIVING. THEY NEGLECTED TO NOTICE MY STEERING WAS OFF CENTER. THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND TO JUST TURN OFF THE ESC AND IF IT WENT OFF AGAIN TO STOP AND TURN THE TRUCK ON AND OFF AGAIN. I HAD THE WHEELS ALIGNED THINKING THIS WAS THE PROBLEM. THE TRUCK SEEMED SENSITIVE WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS IN THE ROAD BUT I DIDN'T REALIZE THE ISSUE. A FEW DAYS LATER WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH THE TRUCK BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AND WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL I REDUCED THE SPEED TO 20 MPH. IT WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND HARD TO DRIVE OR STEER WHILE IT WAS SHAKING. IT DID THIS AGAIN 3 MORE TIMES. I KEPT THE SPEED AT 55-60 MPH AND WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER THE NEXT MORNING AND THEY DROVE IT BARELY A MILE AND THE STEERING ALMOST COMPLETELY FAILED. I COULD HAVE HAD TOTAL STEERING FAILURE AND LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. OUR 2014 DODGE RAM 2500 WAS TURNED IN ON 8/10/16 TO OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR WORK ON THE SAFETY RECALL R46. AFTER FINDING TWO CRACKS ON THE TRACK BAR BRACKETS AFTER INITIAL INSPECTION, OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP DID NOT FOLLOW THE PROPER RECALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPAIR WORK BY FAILING TO DISPATCH CHRYSLER'S WELDING TEAM TO THEIR DEALERSHIP FIRST AND INSTEAD USED NON-CERTIFIED CHRYSLER WELDERS TO MAKE THE RECALL REPAIRS TO OUR VEHICLE INSTEAD. OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP INITIALLY ASKED US TO SIGN A WAIVER RELEASING THEM OF ANY WRONG DOING IN ORDER TO GET OUR VEHICLE BACK SOONER (WE DECLINED). ONCE THE CHRYSLER WELDING TEAM WAS NOTIFIED AND BECOME INVOLVED WITH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIPS ERROR THEY DEEMED THE OTHER NON CHRYSLER CERTIFIED WELDERS WORK UNSATISFACTORY AND THEREFORE THEY WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND THE WORK THAT WAS HANDLED BY THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. I took my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 (VIN: [XXX] ) to Glendora Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on Lone Hill Ave. for Recall R46. The dealership kept my truck most of the day but did not perform the recall. Instead, they told me something untrue—that my upgraded suspension made the repair impossible—without ever attempting the repair. They then tried to pressure me into signing a waiver of liability stating the recall could not be performed and gave me the runaround when I refused. This dealership was unwilling to help me and misled me instead of completing a federally mandated safety recall. On the night of September 15, 2023, I was driving home from work around 8:00 pm. I hit a bump on the interstate and my truck started the "death wobble". Having driven a Dodge truck for a very long time, I was aware of what was going on. The vehicle starts to "wobble" uncontrollably until you come to a complete stop. I was doing 70 mph and in the left lane when this happened, it immediately pulled me to the ditch in the right lane on the side of the interstate. I researched the problem and found that it had an R46 recall and the bracket in said recall had been ripped from the frame and broken in half. I hauled the vehicle to Jeff Wilson Chrysler in Brookhaven and they sent pictures to whomever for the recall and it was denied for some reason. The Service Manager then sent it to someone else because he thought that it should have been fixed based off what he has seen. I then called 1-800-992-1997 to speak with someone about my issues and they proceeded to tell me that my recall had already been fixed. When I or Mr. Shane at Jeff Wilson types it in, it clearly states the R46 recall has not been fixed. There is nothing on this bar or bracket that has been done. This bracket breaking almost caused me to wreck and I cant get any help in getting it resolved. Mr. Shane at Jeff Wilson in Brookhaven has been nothing but fantastic in this matter and continues to try and help me get it resolved with no help coming from anyone above the dealership. The vehicle is undrivable and has been out of commission for 5 weeks now with no progress. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

RAM has Turbocharger/actuator high failure rate. I have had 2 turbo failures in under 80,000 miles. When I lost the turbo I loose the exhaust brakes. This is very dangerous when towing and coming down a mountain road. This could lead to vehicle damage and loss of life. IN FACT: RAM on the 2015 model year only, issued a warranty extension for Turbo failures. This is serious safety concern due to NO exhaust brakes or no acceleration when needed to avoid a collision.

The contact stated while hauling a 2016 Outdoors Wind River RV, the lock detached from the pin causing damages to the trailer. The contact stated that a bystander assisted in towing the RV to a local dealer where the pin and lock were replaced. The contact called the manufacturer of Strattec and made them aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not applicable.

The part that failed the first time was transmission module. We were 12-13 hrs from home when 2500 tried to engage 4wd while truck was moving approx 55 mph. While pulling horse trailer. It tried to engage 3 times during repetitive stops along narrow highway. Truck was making loud grinding noise during the attempts to engage 4wd while moving. Truck failure on highway with NO shoulder with NO option but to stop put whole rig in danger of collision. After internet research we pulled appropriate fuse & drove into park. Upon return home 2500 was driven to Russell Barnett Dodge for inspection and repair. Cost to us $721.05 due to no warranty. 4wd service lite appeared while trying to engage. After repair, and approx 200 miles later during an out of state trip pulling horse trailer, the 2500 service lite appeared, and the truck tried to engage 4wd at 65 mph on interstate highway with the same noise. Again pulled fuse and continued trip. We have logged each event with Ram corporate and obtained case numbers. They did not feel this was a safety issue, was not covered under warranty, and our responsibility. So the first repair did NOT work and failed again 2nd time. Ram still would not cover repair & dealer repair shop is saying it’s a different module. But all symptoms were identical from first event. We feel this is a safety issue - on highways pulling a trailer and potentially becoming a moving obstacle for other drivers if the truck had engaged 4wd at high speed.

I HAVE A 2014 DODGE RAM2500 TRUCK, THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ON THE WELDING ON THE FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET THAT WAS IMPROPERLY WELDED DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. THE FIX WAS TO HAVE A BRACKET PLACED WITH ONE 60-70MM LONG M10 BOLT WITH 1.5 PITCH THREADS, ONE M10X1.5 PITCH THREAD NUT, THREE M10 FLAT WASHERS I BROUGHT MY TRUCK IN BECAUSE IT START POPPING EVERY TIME IN TURNED EITHER RIGHT OR LEFT I WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL FIX HAD EXPIRED THERE NO WARRANTY ON THIS TO FIX IT NOW. SO I'M CONFUSED IT A SAFETY ISSUE AND NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL?? BECAUSE THE RECALL FIX HAS NO WARRANTY THE WARRANTY IS ONLY FOR 2 YEARS. REPLACED TIRES AND WHEELS AND IT STILL VIBRATES. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I ASKED THE DEALER TO PULL THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL COVER TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS WITHIN SPECS AND THEY REFUSED TO DO IT UNDER WARRANTY AND WANTS TO CHARGE ME. IT WASNT EVEN ON!! HOWEVER, I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL ON BUT NOT ENGAGED. I QUICKLY ENGAGED THE RESUME FEATURE AND USED THE ACCELERATE FUNCTION OF THE CRUISE CONTROL TO SPEED UP TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS BUT THIS BY FAR THE SCARIEST. ALSO THE EXHAUST BRAKE ENGAGES WHEN NOT EVEN ON AT RANDOM COASTING TIMES WHEN NOT HAULING ANYTHING. AS I PRESSED THE THROTTLE TO ACCELERATE AND PASS THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME THERE WAS NO RESPONSE FROM THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS AT LEAST A TWO SECOND DELAY BEFORE THE VEHICLE STARTED ACCELERATING. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. SOMETIMES FROM A STOP WHEN TRYING TO TURN INTO TRAFFIC. OTHER TIMES WHILE MOVING. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS DEPRESSED AND THEN PRESSED AGAIN WITHIN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. *TR

THIS VEHICLE HAS THE WORST ACCELERATION AND TAKE OFF I HAVE EVER NOTICED. IF I HAD TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF SOMETHING, I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TOO. IF NOT FIXED THIS WILL DEFIANTLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I CAN'T EVEN PULL OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND GET UP TO THE SAME SPEED AS OTHER TRAFFIC. WHEN I GOT IN MY WRECK IN JUNE I WAS TRYING TO PASS SOMEONE WHO WAS DRIVING SLOW AND I COULD NOT GET AROUND THEM QUICK ENOUGH AND THEY CUT ME OFF CAUSING OUR VEHICLE TO COLLIDE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE RAM 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN A VOLUNTARY MANUFACTURER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER REPLACED THE RF MODULE TWICE AND REPROGRAMMED THE SENSOR FIVE TIMES. THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 273. UPDATED 9/11/14*CN THE CONSUMER THE TIRES CONTINUE TO HAVE DRAMATIC PRESSURE CHANGES OVER THE COURSE OF 70 MILES. UPDATED 2/3/2015 *JS

THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR WILL NOT GO OFF AND KEEPS BLINKING "LOW TIRE PRESSURE. I HAVE MADE SEVEN ATTEMPTS TO GET THIS RESOLVED. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER I BOUGHT THE TRUCK FROM LAST NIGHT THAT THERE IS NO MORE HE CAN DO. THEY OVER INFLATED THE TIRES TO 80 PSI TO MAKE THE SENSOR GO OFF BUT THE TIRES ARE ONLY RATED FOR 65PSI MAX. THIS OVER INFLATION HAD VOIDED THE TIRE WARRANTY FROM THE TIRE MANUFACTURER. THIS COULD ALSO RESULT IN A TIRE BLOW OUT AND ACCIDENT WHICH COULD CAUSE DEATH TO ME, MY FAMILY OR PASSENGERS. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED BEFORE ANYONE GETS HUT OR KILLED. *TR
