The contact owned a 2015 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously involved in a front-impact collision, and the air bags had failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries and received medical assistance from a chiropractor. A police report was filed, and the vehicle was driven from the scene. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 35-40 MPH approximately a year later, another vehicle making a left turn at an undisclosed speed crashed into the front driver's side of the vehicle, causing the left side of the contact's head and shoulders to hit the driver's side window, and the contact's chest to hit the steering wheel. The contact was knocked unconscious for a moment. Upon regaining consciousness, the contact noticed that the vehicle was on top of a hill. The contact's husband arrived at the scene and transported the contact to the hospital. A police report was filed. The contact sustained spinal injuries from the cervical spine to the lumbar spine. The contact sustained whiplash, body soreness, and swelling on the right side of the hairline and temple. The contact was in the process of undergoing an MRI. The contact was currently receiving assistance from the chiropractor and the pain management Doctor. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard, and was then towed to an auto collision repair shop, where it was deemed a total loss by both the shop and the insurance company. The dealer was contacted, and the contact was advised that she would receive a call back later. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,108.

The problem started 11/12/2021. The car started jerking and dropping out of gear while driving. A mechanic changed the transmission fluid and filter thinking it may resolve the problem. It did not now getting a code P2757 indicating the torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid was failing. Toyota issued a bulletin dated October 20, 2018 on CK313 CVT P2757 valve body replacement. It’s on your website and also a software update for CVT transmission dated August 13,2018 also on your website. This car did not get the update or either bulletin. Toyota has had multiple problems with the control solenoid but no recall . There were no problems with warning lights or issues prior to the incident. A mechanic has assessed the problem . We have contacted Toyota dealership locally they have said no recalls on the car.

The contact owns a 2015 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate with the accelerator pedal depressed. The contact stated that the vehicle loss motive power with the fuel, check engine, traction control, and oil level warning lights illuminated. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

WHEN DRIVING, MY 2015 COROLLA WITH A CVT TRANSMISSION WITH ~74,000 MILES, THE CAR WILL OFTEN NOT ACCELERATE, SOMETIMES AT HIGH SPEEDS ON THE FREEWAY OR LOW SPEEDS IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS. FOR EXAMPLE, ON THURSDAY, MARCH 25, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK WHEN I HAD TO SAFELY PULL OVER BECAUSE MY CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. SINCE I WAS NOT ON A BUSY STREET, I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME BUT AT A HIGHLY REDUCED SPEED. WHENEVER THIS OCCURS IT HAPPENS WHEN I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR EITHER LURCHES REPEATEDLY OR THE ENGINE REVS TO A HIGH RPM WITH OUT ACCELERATING. BASIC MAINTENANCE SUCH AS CHANGING THE OIL AND COOLANT AS REQUIRED WAS DONE, HOWEVER I AM NOT SURE WHAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE ISSUE. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON THE 27TH, I WAS ALSO NOT AWARE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL THAT WOULD HELP MINIMIZE WEAR ON MY CVT AND SINCE MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, I AM STUCK WITH THE ONLY OPTION OF COMPLETELY REPLACING THE CVT TRANSMISSION. I SUSPECT THAT OTHER DRIVERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE MAY HAVE NOT BROUGHT THEIR CAR IN FOR THE RECALL AND MAY BE IN THE SAME POSITION AS ME. PLUS, I DON'T BELIEVE THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE WOULD HAVE FIXED ANYTHING. MY CAR WOULD STUTTER AT A STOP A YEAR OR TWO AFTER I GOT THE CAR.

THE CAR MAKES A SCREECHING SOUND EVERY TIME I BRAKE AT THE RED LIGHT.IT'S DIFFICULT TO BRAKE COMPLETELY AND WHEN I DO, THE CAR JOLTS FORWARD EVERY TIME. THE CAR STRUGGLES TO MOVE LIKE IT'S STUCK OR SOMETHING. IT MAKES ME ANXIOUS TO DRIVE IT. I'VE STOPPED DRIVING BECAUSE I DON'T THINK IT'S UNSAFE. Approximately 2022 the driver, front side panel paint began to bubble and come off. I noticed the back hood started doing the same a few months later. By 2023, the roof was doing the same thing. I took it into Young Toyota in Logan, Utah that year and spoke with the service Manager, Russ Otley. He looked at the paint and took some pictures on this cell phone and told me he would call Toyota Customer Care. I don't he ever did because I did not hear back from him. Now it is 2026 and I have send several complaints into both this website and through the dealership manager Russ Otley. The pain is much worse now. Knowing that Toyota has had paint recalls on this issue before, I think Toyota company should get this fixed asap.

The contact owns a 2015 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while stopped in traffic, white paint chips were floating in the air. The white paint peeled off the trunk lid. Upon further investigation, the prime color had peeled off, and the contact could see the metal part of the trunk lid. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact was informed that the warranty on the vehicle had expired, and there was no assistance to be offered. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

THIS IS A STRUCTURE COMPLAINT. Paint is peeling off of my 2015Toyota Corolla. see attached pictures. Per the Toyota Dealer in Logan Utah, they referred me to you on this issue. I was not made aware of the paint recall that ended in January 2025. I hope this complaint will reopen another recall.

Rack and pinion steering rack failure. Car only has 119K miles. Diagnosed by Peterson Toyota on 08/16/2024. Repair cost is $2,000.00! Rack and pinion failure created very tight steering characteristic and banging, knocking noise.

THE TOP OF THE STEERING WHEEL HAS A BULGE OR IS BUCKLED. I TOOK IT TO A TOYOTA DIRECT SHOP IN COLUMBUS OHIO AND WAS TOLD IT COULD BE DUE TO THE CONSTANT GLARE FROM THE SUN. IT MAKES IT HARD TO DRIVE THE CAR. I NOTICED IT AROUND OCTOBER 2023.

THE CONTACT SUFFERED MINOR BRUISING FROM THE COLLISION, WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 33,000.

CAR DRIFTS TOWARD THE LEFT THUS CAUSES CONSTANT CORRECTION ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF 30 AND ABOVE. LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AT 48,000 MILES. THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT IS SEALED WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW FOR BULB REPLACEMENT. YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. EVERY OTHER BULB IN THE ASSEMBLY CAN BE REPLACED. WILL WE BEGIN SEEING VEHICLES WITH NO HEADLIGHTS DUE TO THE PROHIBITIVE COST AND NO OPTION FOR BULB REPLACEMENT.

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS IN LIGHTING. CAR BY DESIGN HAS LED HEADLIGHTS WHICH ARE ALSO THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS ARE SO BRIGHT THAT THE OPERATOR COULD DRIVE IN THE DARK FAILING TO NOTICE THAT THE REAL HEADLIGHT ARE NOT ON. THE MAIN PROBLEM IS WHEN JUST THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS ARE ON, THERE IS NO TAILIGHTS, THUS A PERSON COULD DRIVE WITHOUT TAILLIGHTS AND BE HIT FROM BEHIND ON A DARK ROAD.

THE MAIN FRONT LED LOW-BEAM IS A PROBLEM ON ALL TRIMS OF THIS CURRENT GENERATION. IT IS TOO BRIGHT AND BLINDS ONCOMING DRIVERS, THERE IS ALSO A HARD CUTOFF LINE IN WHICH YOU CAN'T SEE ANYTHING ABOVE IT. THEY ALSO POORLY LIGHT THE ROAD. THE BEAM GOES EVERYWHERE BUT THE ROAD. IT SEEMS THEY ARE INCORRECTLY AIMED. THERE IS ALSO A TAIL-LIGHT PROBLEM THAT AFFECTS THE HIGHER-END TRIMS OF THIS GENERATION. THERE IS A DRL OPTION, WHICH IS THE FIRST ONE, THAT TURNS ON THE FRONT LOW-BEAM, YOU CAN SEE THAT YOUR FRONT HEADLIGHTS ARE ON, BUT YOU DON'T REALIZE YOUR TAIL-LIGHTS AREN'T ON AND THAT YOU HAVE TO TURN THE STOCK AGAIN TO TURN THEM ON. THERE IS NO INDICATOR ON THE DASH THAT SIGNIFIES ANY SORT OF EXTERIOR LIGHTING IS ON BESIDES THE HIGH-BEAM. I'VE SEEN MULTIPLE COROLLA DRIVERS ON THE ROAD WITH ONLY DRLS ON AT NIGHT. THE LOWER END TRIMS DON'T SUFFER THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE THE DASH AT NIGHT WITHOUT TURNING ON THE TAILLIGHTS, THE HIGHER END TRIMS HAVE AN ALWAYS LIT DASH. THIS CREATES A HAZARD IN WHICH THE COROLLA IN FRONT OF YOU IS UNLIT IN THE REAR AND ALLOWS A REAR-END COLLISION BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE THEM.

THE D DISAPPEARED FROM ODOMETER AND THE ECHO LIGHT STARTED FLASHING LOST ALL POWER TO CAR AS IT STALLED. WHEN THE D REAPPEARED THE POWER TO VEHICLE CAM BACK ON. BEEN DOING IT EVER SINCE. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP, BECAUSE THE COMPUTER COULD NOT LOCATE AN ISSUE NOTHING WAS DONE THEY TRIED SENDING ME ON MY WAY. THEY SAID THEY TEST DOVE IT BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. The car stalled after trying to resume from stopping at a stop sign. After having a mechanic look at the vehicle it turned out It a bad fuel pump. Had to buy a new fuel pump from Toyota to replace the fuel pump and car is working perfectly fine. There was no warning whatsoever of it going bad.

ON TWO OCCASIONS, A STATIONARY VEHICLE WAS FOUND TO BE LEAKING GASOLINE FROM A FUEL LINE. DATES WERE APPROXIMATELY JULY, 2019 AND MAY, 2020. THE FUEL LINE HAD APPARENT RODENT (POSSIBLE SQUIRREL) BITE MARKS. THE CAR WAS DRIVEABLE DESPITE THE LEAKING FUEL LINE, BUT IF THE DRIVER DID NOT HAPPEN TO NOTICE THE FUEL SPILL UNDER THE CAR (PHOTO ATTACHED), THERE COULD EASILY HAVE BEEN A FIRE OTHER OTHER ISSUE DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS OF THE CAR. REPAIRS COST OVER $350 FOR EACH INSTANCE.

SINCE PURCHASED, I HAVE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE ISSUES WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMMING ON ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE "GAS CAP WASNT ON ALL THE WAY". YESTERSAY, MY BRAKE, ABS AND TRAC LIGHTS CAME ON WHILE DRIVING AND THE ONLY TIME THEY CLEARED WAS AFTER A SUDDEN GRID NOISE IN TRANSMISSION. FOLLOWING THIS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TOYOTA INDICATED THE CHARCOAL CANISTER FOR THE EVAP SYSTEM HAS FAILED. MY VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW AND FROM A DEALERSHIP. I SAW THAT A NUMBER OF MODELS WERE RECALLED IN 2016 FOR A CHARCOAL CANISTER FAIL AND I BELIEVE THIS VEHICLE EITHER WASNT SERVICES PROPERLY OR THIS MODEL SHOULDVE BEEB INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

I noticed that on the passenger front has a boge on the sidewall. Than I received a call from Firestone that front driver side has a boge on the sidewall. That tire the boge was on the inside not visible. So we had to replace both tires.( 215/45R17)

I have cooper zeon rs3-g3 tires on a 2015 corolla S plus. I have hydroplaned multiple times even at low speeds 40 miles an hour. These tires are very dangerous.

The contact owns a 2015 Toyota Corolla equipped with Nika Supercharger tires, Tire Size: 215/45/R17, DOT Number: 16MTSB3 and manufactured on 4/5/2020. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph the front driver's side tire had experienced rapid air pressure loss. After stopping to inspect the vehicle it was discovered that the inner sidewall of the tire had separated from the tread of the tire. Upon inspection, it was then discovered that the same failure had occurred on three of the four-tire. The cause of the failures was not determined. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 13,000.

I had a NIKA Supercharger tire on drivers front inside tread/ sidewall separation I checked the front passenger and rear passenger tires, and they are also separating the same way and in the same place. The tires are barely two years old and were not worn out. Something is wrong with these tires. I was lucky I had not got on the interstate yet when the tire failed. Tire size 215/45/R17-91W XL These tires are not Toyota supplied tires and were on the car at time of purchase. They are the proper size for the car however.

We had four brand new Goodyear Assurance All-Season tires installed by our regular mechanics (Harper's Farm BP, Columbia, Maryland) on August 23, 2021. The very next day our son was driving on I-83 near Harrisburg, PA en route to Ithaca, NY when the rear driver's-side tire completely failed. The tread separated from the sidewalls and was left on the highway somewhere. (See uploaded photos.) Fortunately, he kept control of the car, but there was something wrong with this tire. I do not expect a one-day old tire to fail so completely in this way. Maybe he hit a nail on the highway and lost some air pressure, but I would expect him to have a flat tire, not an exploded tire. We had the tire replaced at Derry Auto & Tire in Harrisburg, PA the next day. I have attached receipts from both repair shops to document the dates.

I HAVE A 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA WITH 85,000 MILES. IT HAS A NOISE SENSE IT HAD 33,000 MILE AND TOYOTA IGNORE IT, (CLUNKING) IN THE FRONT LEFT SIDE WHEN GOING THROUGH SMALL POTHOLES AND UNEVEN SURFACES AT SLOW SPEEDS. I HAVE CHANGED THE STRUT MOUNTS, SWAY BAR LINKS, SWAY BAR BUSHINGS AND EVEN THE SWAY BAR AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED. I DO NOT WHAT ELSE TO DO. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THREE MECHANICS AND NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE. MY LAST MECHANIC ADVISE ME ALOT OF TOYOTA COROLLA HAVE THIS ISSUE HE ADVISE TO REPLACE THE LOWER CONTROL ARM IT WILL FIX THE ISSUE AND TOYOTA SHOULD THINK ABOUT RECALL IT THIS ISSUE EVERYONE HAVE.

As my husband + I were driving home on the open highway Friday night (no vehicles nearby, nor debris on the road)…we heard popping/shattering sounds. As my husband (who was driving) looked up, it rained sunroof glass shards all over our faces, eyes, hair, back seat, front seat…everywhere. This was completely out of the blue, no warning lights or anything out of the ordinary. Minus the fact that the sunroof literally shattered and we’ve never had not one issue with our car. It’s been amazing for the entire time we’ve had it, so this was extremely bizarre. We pulled over immediately at a rest stop close to where we were to assess everything. I have photos and videos of the sunroof damage, as well as debris + bloody cuts on my head. It’s a good thing we didn’t have kids in the back + a miracle it didn’t drive us off the road because I had glass powder/shards in my eyes etc. We could have gotten into a way worse accident had my husband not have had his glasses on to protect his eyes. I did some research + it looks like this has happened quite a bit to car owners over the years. Same bizarre experience of their sunroof just randomly shattering while driving, or even while their car was sitting in their driveway. There is also a class action lawsuit: Gamez, et al. v. Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc., et al., Case No. 4:23-cv-00262 regarding their panoramic roofs suddenly shattering. There are videos and tweets all over social of sunroofs shattering like this too. Toyota hasn’r assessed it yet, but I have a call tomorrow with the Corporate Liability team. Hoping they‘ll do the right thing + loan us a car while they replace + repair my sunroof, including an interior detailing as there is glass everywhere in the car. SO disappointed that this hasn’t been a recall/liability issue Toyota has confirmed. It seems as if these bigger corps like to gaslight the car owners into thinking it was their fault or a rock. Very upsetting altogether and extremely dangerous.

I PURCHASED A 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA IN AUGUST 2015. AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR ABOUT THREE DAYS I NOTICED A VERY STRONG WAVE EFFECT WAS PRESENT IN THE WINDSHIELD THAT SPANNED THE LENGTH OF THE GLASS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND A SERIES OF WAVES WITH VARYING WIDTH SPANNED THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD. IT APPEARED AS THOUGH THE THICKNESS OF THE GLASS VARIED. DRIVING THE CAR CAUSED MIGRAINE HEADACHES AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONCENTRATE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE OF THE DISTORTION PRESENT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THE EFFECT IS SIMILAR TO LOOKING THROUGH EYEGLASSES THAT ARE THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION, OR USING READER GLASSES THAT ARE TOO STRONG. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO DID SEE THE DEFECT AND WORKED WITH ME TO REPLACE IT. UPON PICKING THE CAR UP I FOUND THE REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD HAD THE SAME DEFECT BUT IN A DIFFERENT SPOT. THE DEFECT THIS TIME WAS IN THE CENTER OF THE GLASS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO LOOK INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN TRYING TO MAKE A TURN. THE CAR WAS AGAIN RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHO CONFIRMED THE PRESENCE OF THE DEFECT AND AGREED TO YET AGAIN REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD. THE THIRD REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD IS NOW ON THE CAR AND ALTHOUGH THE EFFECT IS NOT AS STRONG AS THE FIRST TWO THE THIRD WINDSHIELD ALSO HAS NOTICEABLE WAVES GOING THROUGH THE DRIVERS SIDE AND A VERY OBVIOUS RIPPLING EFFECT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THERE APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT IN EVERY WINDSHIELD THAT IS COMING FROM THE MANUFACTURER FACTORY, THESE HAVE ALL BEEN OEM WINDSHIELDS. IT CAUSES HEADACHES, IS A DISTRACTION WHEN DRIVING DUE TO OBJECTS CHANGING SHAPE WHILE DRIVING, AND I AM CONCERNED THAT IT IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE IF THE LAMINATE AND GLASS HAVE NOT BEEN PROPERLY TEMPERED AND BONDED TOGETHER, THEREFORE MAKING THE WINDSHIELD WEAKER IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. I BELIEVE THE ASASHI GLASS COMPANY IS EXPORTING DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELDS TO BE PLACED ON COROLLAS.

On [XXX] at [XXX]. in Cupey, Puerto Rico I was moving from west to east in the[XXX] parish underground parking. While parking my car in reverse, I needed to drive forward to accommodate the car in the parking space. As I shifted to drive, the vehicle accelerated on its own, the breaks were not working and hit a concrete wall. All the airbags exploded, and I was stuck inside the car. The car doors did not open from inside. The acceleration and break systems failed to work at the moment of the car crash. My safety was affected by the car crash impact. I was pressed against the seat by the airbags and the doors were not opening from the inside. I have panic attacks after this incident. The problem has not been confirmed by a car dealer nor independent service center. The vehicle has been inspected by an insurance representative. I purchased this vehicle in November 2024 from a dealership. On July 8, 2025, I was involved in a crash where the airbag failed to deploy. After the accident, I learned there was an active recall from 2020 (NHTSA Recall No. 20V024) related to the airbag control system. The recall had not been repaired, and I was never informed of it when I bought the car. This defect may have worsened my injuries and left me completely unprotected during the crash.

The contact owns a 2015 Toyota Corolla. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V024000 (Air Bags). The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, another vehicle T-boned the passenger's side of his vehicle. The seat belts did not restrain him, his wife, and their three minor children, upon impact. None of the air bags deployed upon impact. The contact suffered a left shoulder injury, and his wife suffered a hip injury. The three children did not sustain any injuries. The contact, his wife, and their children later received medical attention at the hospital. A police report was filed. The contact was able to drive away from the scene of the collision after roadside assistance replaced the passenger's side front tire. The dealer was made aware of the failure and requested the repair bills, the police report, and medical bills. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer requested a demand letter but provided no further assistance. Prior to the collision, the contact's sister was also involved in another collision with the vehicle, and the same failure occurred. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK AND/OR DIPSTICK TUBE ON THE 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA WHICH USES 0W-20 OIL. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN AN ACCURATE READING ON THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL AND HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS ON ANY OTHER VEHICLE. THE OIL TENDS TO FORM A LONG "TAIL" UP THE DIPSTICK MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DISCERN WHERE THE ACTUAL LEVEL IS. ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN A READING WITH MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS YIELDS DIFFERENT POSSIBLE OIL LEVELS AND THE LEVELS ARE DIFFERENT ON EACH SIDE OF THE DIPSTICK. I WOULD NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED ON NUMEROUS FORUMS ON THE INTERNET INCLUDING FORUMS DEDICATED TO TOYOTA ENTHUSIASTS AS WELL AS GENERAL CAR FORUMS AND ENGINE OIL FORUMS. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED NOT ONLY FOR THE COROLLA BUT ALSO FOR OTHER TOYOTA MODELS. SOME OWNERS HAVE RESORTED TO MODIFYING THE DIPSTICK WHICH SHOULD NOT BE NECESSARY. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE. NOT BEING ABLE TO OBTAIN AN ACCURATE READING OF ENGINE OIL LEVEL PUTS THE ENGINE AT RISK OF DAMAGE AND EVEN SERIOUS AND SUDDEN FAILURE IF THE OIL IS OVER OR UNDER FILLED. ENGINE DAMAGE AND PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH CAN OBVIOUSLY OCCUR IF ENGINE FAILURE OCCURS WHILE IN OPERATION ON ROADS. I PURCHASED A 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA FROM CHARLES MAUND TOYOTA ON JUNE 15, 2015 AND AROUND A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT, I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE BREAKS EVER SINCE. MY SERVICE TECHNICIAN AND OTHER SERVICE MEN SAID A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD BEEN BRINGING THESE CARS (2015 TOYOTA COROLLA) BACK FOR THE SAME NOISE AND OTHER BRAKE ISSUES AS I DESCRIBED. THERE IS A CRACKING NOISE WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES SOMETIMES. DEALER SERVICE MEN SAID THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I WILL ALWAYS HEAR BECAUSE OF THE MATERIALS TOYOTA MAKES THEIR BRAKES AND PADS OUT OF, ONCE IT REACHES A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE, I WILL HEAR THE NOISE. SOMETIMES BRAKE PEDAL GOES DOWN TO THE FLOOR BY ITS SELF AFTER I HAVE STOPPED. SERVICE MEN SAID THEY FELT THE BRAKE PEDAL GO DOWN AND SAID THEY FIXED IT. BUT ON OCTOBER 30, 2015 IT STARTED GOING DOWN BY ITS SELF AGAIN. BOTH FRONT WHEELS NOW MAKING LOUD POPPING OR KNOCKING NOISE WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE SOMETIMES AND WHEELS DO NOT STOP, THEY KEEP TURNING. SERVICE MEN SAID THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED WHEN THEY DROVE THE CAR. OCTOBER 21, I HAD ANOTHER SCARY EVENT IN THE PARKING LOT AT MY JOB AS I WAS LEAVING WORK FOR THE DAY IN MY 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA. AS I WENT AROUND THE FIRST CURVE IN THE GARAGE, THE POPPING OR KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE RIGHT WHEEL STARTED AGAIN WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, AS I WENT AROUND THE 2ND CURVE AND BRAKED, THE POPPING NOISE CAME FROM BOTH WHEELS AND THEY DID NOT STOP ROLLING WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THE BRAKE. THE WHEELS KEPT TURNING, IT FELT LIKE WHEN YOU THINK YOU HAVE TIGHTEN A BOLT ALL THE WAY, BUT THEN IT SLIPS A LITTLE FURTHER. I HAVE THE MOST PROBLEMS WHEN GOING DOWN A SLOPE.

THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND FAILED TO ROTATE WHILE I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN IN A BUSY INTERSECTION. USING MY FULL WEIGHT I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL AND THANKFULLY ONCOMING TRAFFIC AVOIDED HITTING ME. TOYOTA TOWED MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. I connect my phone to the hand free system especially when traveling, the screen and monitor has been malfunctioning now to the point where I am not able to adjust speakers sound, source and volume. I am only able to to hear from rear speakers. It is illegal to drive and use mobile devices so to be able to connect to a properly working systems is most definitely needed. I have notice that quite a few drivers of Corollas have this issue and dealers wants approximately a thousand dollars to fix (that a new stereo system). Please investigate this issue and recall for repair. Thank you!

My daughter was driving my car on the interstate the airbags deployed and hit her in the face, filled the car up with smoke, she couldn’t see anything she hit the iron poles that are together by cables. My car is totaled. My back tire broke completely off of the car. These cars aren’t built safe. I owned my car and now I’m without a car. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Air bags deploying for no reason?

THE TRANSMISSION ON THE VEHICLE HAS A TITAL OF 19,752MILES AS OF 5/3/2021. THE VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED DUE TO A "BAD CYLENOID" IN THE TRANSMISSION. I AM A 90 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO WENT TO MY PHYSICIANS OFFICE AFTER MY APPOINTMENT I GIT IN THE CAR AND ATTEMPTED TO PLACE THE CAR IN REVERSE WHEN IT FAILED TO MOVE. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE AND WAS SHOCKED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM ESPECIALLY DIBCE I HAD JUST TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE . DURING THAT MAINTENANCE THERE WERE NO NOTED PROBLEM BOUGHT TO MY STTENTIO. HENCE I FELL THAT THIS IS A SEVERE MANUFACTURERES DEFECR. I FILED A SIMILAR COMPLAINT IN JANUARY 2017 UNDER COMPLAINT 10947803 AND NOW REALIZE THE DIPSTICK/DIPSTICK TUBE DEFECT ON THESE CARS CAN ALSO BE CATEGORIZED UNDER "OTHER". ------- THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK AND/OR DIPSTICK TUBE ON THE 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA WHICH USES 0W-20 OIL. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN AN ACCURATE READING ON THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL AND I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS ON ANY OTHER VEHICLE. THE OIL TENDS TO FORM A LONG "TAIL" UP THE DIPSTICK MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DISCERN WHERE THE ACTUAL LEVEL IS. ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN A READING WITH MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS YIELDS DIFFERENT POSSIBLE OIL LEVELS AND THE LEVELS ARE DIFFERENT ON EACH SIDE OF THE DIPSTICK. I WOULD NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED ON NUMEROUS FORUMS ON THE INTERNET INCLUDING FORUMS DEDICATED TO TOYOTA ENTHUSIASTS AS WELL AS GENERAL CAR FORUMS AND ENGINE OIL FORUMS. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED NOT ONLY FOR THE COROLLA BUT ALSO FOR OTHER TOYOTA MODELS. SOME OWNERS HAVE RESORTED TO MODIFYING THE DIPSTICK WHICH SHOULD NOT BE NECESSARY. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE. NOT BEING ABLE TO OBTAIN AN ACCURATE READING OF ENGINE OIL LEVEL PUTS THE ENGINE AT RISK OF DAMAGE AND EVEN SERIOUS AND SUDDEN FAILURE IF THE OIL IS OVER OR UNDER FILLED. I am not sure exactly what happened but their was indeed an internal systems failure of some sort that definitely needs to be resolved and the public needs to be made aware of. I lost control of my vehicle do to some circumstance beyond my control and I was nearly killed an a father and son as well. I hope the government gets to the bottom of this and makes all humans aware of this threat to our way of life and human's lifes in general. Regardless I was driving and minding my own business and causing no harm to anyone when I lost control of my vehicle and it swerved to the right in an intersection causing an accident. Please utilize our tax money properly and make sure the people responsible for this are held accountable in accordance with the law and make the public aware of who they are. The passenger seat should be able to detect when a human passenger is present. Unfortunately, I have to buckle the seatbelt to turn off the warning light and chime, even though there is no human passenger or item weighing more than 15 lbs.

I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND AS A COURTESY THEY REMOVED THE DOOR PANEL AND DETERMINED IT HAD COME FROM ONE OF THE WINDOW PARTS (REGULATOR OR MOTOR). THEY REINSTALLED AND TIGHTENED THE BOLT. I READ ON THE INTERNET THIS WAS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH PREVIOUS TOYOTAS AND CREATED SAFETY CONCERNS. THIS MAY BE A CONTINUED PROBLEM WITH TOYOTAS. IT WAS OBVIOUSLY A VERY SMALL CHANCE THAT THE BOLT ACTUALLY LANDED IN A FASHION TO PARTIALLY STICK OUT OF THE DRAIN HOLE SO I WAS ABLE TO SPOT THIS, SO I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER IF OTHER WINDOW BOLTS IN THE CAR HAVE, OR WILL, COME LOOSE AND FALL INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE DOORS WITHOUT DETECTION. A YEAR AND HALF LATER "JULY 2017" MY WIFE HAD A BIG BIG FREEWAY ACCIDENT ALSO DUE TO A QUICK STOP FROM THE CAR IN FRONT, WE HAD A MASSIVE DAMAGE TO OUR CAR AND OF COURSE THE INSURANCE SAID WE ARE AT FAULT. TWO MONTH LATER "SEPTEMBER 2017" SAME THING HAPPENED A QUICK STOP ON FREEWAY AND AT THIS TIME I FELT LIKE THERE IS SOMETHING WEIRD GOING ON, I HAD ENOUGH TIME AND DISTANCE BETWEEN ME AND THE CAR IN FRONT BUT STILL I CRASHED HIM. EVERY TIME I WAS SAYING I CANNOT PROVE THAT THERE IS A DEFECT WITHIN THE CAR ITSELF, BUT I STILL HAVE THE SAME FEELING OF THE SLOW RESPONDING BRAKES AND THE FEEL THAT THE CAR RUNS UNDER MY FEET UNCONTROLLABLY WHEN I HIT MY BRAKES EVEN AS FAST AND POWERFUL AS POSSIBLE.

HE VIOLENTLY TURNED INTO HER LANE CAUSING HER TO DO EVASIVE MANEUVER LEFT AND BRAKE HARD SKIDDING INTO THE SOFT SHOULDER THEN SPINNING CLOCKWISE CROSSING TO THE RIGHT SIDE HITTING A SMALL SHOULDER ELEVATION CHANGE WITH BOTH DRIVERS SIDE WHEELS, CAUSING A DOUBLE ROLL OVER AND A CARTWHEEL LANDING ON THE TRUNK, THEN COMING TO A REST ON THE ROOF. NOT A SINGLE AIR BAG DEPLOYED! SHE SUFFERED MULTIPLE BLUNT HITS TO THE HEAD FROM HITTING AGAINST THE DOOR, SHE HAS A CONCUSSION WITH SPRAINED SHOULDER AND ANKLES. GRANTED SHE SHOULD BE IN MUCH WORSE CONDITION BUT WE ARE GRATEFUL SHE HAD HER BLANKETS AND HER DOGS BEDS THAT FLEW FROM THE BACK SEAT TO THE FRONT HELPING TO KEEP HER PADDED FROM EVEN MORE TRAUMA. I FEEL THAT A SIDE CURTAIN AND STEERING BAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. IS THIS A FLUKE THAT TOYOTA ENGINEERS MISSED? BECAUSE NO PARTICULAR CORNER WAS IMPACTED? THE ROLLOVER IMPACTS WERE AT THE WHEELS, JUST ABOVE BOTH BUMPERS AND THE ENTIRE ROOF AREA.

MY DAUGHTER WAS ATTEMPTING TO PARK IN HER COLLEGE PARKING LOT AT FGCU. SHE SAID , THINKS THE BRAKE DIDN'T WORK WHEN SHE APPLIED IT. CAR HIT CONCRETE WALL TO STOP. AAA TOW TRUCK DRIVER CAME AND SAID BRAKES WENT TO FLOOR AND HE HAD TO USE E-BRAKE TO PUT ON TRUCK. HE STATES WHEN HE GOT BACK TO GARAGE BRAKES WORKED. I TOLD TOYOTA. THEY CHECKED BRAKES OUT AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE. I ASKED THEM TO LOOK AT BLACK BOX. THEY SENT ME RESULTS. I HAD MY INSURANCE CO. LOOK AT THEM ALONG WITH TOYOTA SERVICE ADVISER. BOTH SAID DATA SHOWS GAS APPLIED BEFORE BRAKE. I LOOKED UNDER CAR COMPLAINTS. OTHER PEOPLE HAD SAME PROBLEM. SOME HAD AUTOMATIC ACCELERATION. I DID NOT TELL THEM TO CHECK THAT OUT BECAUSE OF STATEMENT FROM TOW TRUCK GUY. SHE SAID IT HAPPENED SO FAST SHE DOESN'T REMEMBER. THE TIN WHISKERING WAS A PROBLEM FOR TOYOTA IN THE PAST. I BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. CAN THE DATA SHOW IF GAS APPLIED BY DRIVER OR AUTOMATICALLY CAME ON? I HAVE SPOKEN TO ATTORNEYS AND NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO TAKE THIS CASE. THE SEATBELTS LOCK UP AS SOON AS YOU TRY TO BUCKLE THEM. NEVER RELEASING. VERY DANGEROUS! ESPECIALLY FOR CHILDREN. THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY WHETHER ONE-4- OR 5 OCCUPY THE SEATS. I PURCHASED A USED 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA WITH ABOUT 27,085MILES, IN JUNE 2016. THREE MONTHS LATER, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. IN ADDITION, THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS THREAD SEPARATION ON ALL TIRES AND THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE ROTORS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE TIRES WERE NOT. FIRST, THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS ON VEHICLES WITH THE XENON OR LED LIGHTS APPEARS TO BE THE SAME LIGHTS THAT RUN AT NIGHT WHEN YOU TURN ON THE SWITCH. THIS MEANS THAT PEOPLE IN ONCOMING LANES CONSTANTLY FLASH THEIR LIGHTS THINKING THE BRIGHT LIGHTS ARE ON DURING THE DAY BECAUSE IT IS EXTREMELY BRIGHT. I'VE ALSO NOTICED THAT A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME CAR DON'T REALIZE THEY HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN ON THEIR LIGHTS SINCE THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS IS THE SAME AS WHEN THE SWITCH IS TURNED ON. PEOPLE MUST THINK THEY HAVE AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENTLY FAIL TO TURN THEIR LIGHT SWITCH ON WHICH MEANS THEY HAVE NO REAR LIGHTS. I CAN SEE THIS CAUSING SO MANY ACCIDENTS, ESPECIALLY IN THE RAIN OR AT NIGHT. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. PEOPLE HAVE ALSO COMPLAINED TO ME THAT IT LOOKS LIKE THE BRIGHT LIGHTS ARE ON WHEN THEY'RE NOT AND THE HEADLIGHTS ARE "BLINDINGLY BRIGHT", BUT HOW THE LIGHTS ARE AIMED OR DESIGNED, THEY DON'T CAST MUCH LIGHT ON THE ROAD AHEAD. IT SEEMS LIKE THE LIGHT IS JUST DIFFUSED IN ALL DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS INSTEAD OF IN A BEAM LIKE NORMAL HEADLIGHTS. THERE IS A HUGE ISSUE WITH THESE NEW COROLLA MODELS' LIGHTING SYSTEMS AND TOYOTA NEEDS TO RETROFIT THEM IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS. IN ADDITION, THIS CAR BASICALLY HAS NO POWER WHICH MAKES IT NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC AS THE AWFUL CVT TRANSMISSION TAKES FOREVER TO RESPOND. ONCE THE ENGINE HAS FINALLY WOKEN UP FROM ITS SLEEP, IT OFFERS TERRIBLE RESPONSE AND IS EXTREMELY SLOW PICKING UP SPEED. THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH ALL COROLLA'S BECAUSE OF HOW HEAVY THE CAR IS FOR HOW LITTLE POWER TOYOTA GIVES IT. I ALSO HATE THE HUGE BLIND SPOTS CREATED BY THE AWKWARDLY SHAPED REAR END.
