A few weeks after purchasing this vehicle in Dallas, TX we drove to Florida. About 4 hours into the trip we stopped for lunch and noticed both of our cells phones had not charged and in fact had discharged quite a bit. Further testing shows none of the front or rear USB Type-C ports would charge any cell phone we plugged into them. I purchased a USB volt meter and verified that the car would only send a small fraction of an amp to any cell phone plugged into these four ports. After discussing it with the dealer we tried different phones, different cables, and even every new Toyota on the show room floor. No single vehicle's front or rear Type-C ports would charge any cell phone we tried. Since then we have tried 4 friends Lexus vehicles and found the same issue exists in all of them. Any Type-C port labeled with a lightning bolt (i.e. a charging port) will not charge any phone we've tried. Any Type-C port that is marked as a data port will charge the phone. We have tried 5 different Samsung and 3 different iPhones and none will charge in the Type-C ports marked as charging ports. All phones and cables we've tested work with all home chargers and every other vehicle make and model we've tested with. The Samsung phones we have quick access to and originally used in testing are S21, S24, and A54. The iPhones are about two year old models.

Driver headlight is lower than passenger headlight creating a big dark side on driver side. Dealership say it can’t be corrected

Two issues: 1. Low-beam headlights shine way too low on the road and unsafely prevent adequate vision of potential road hazards or oncoming cars, and my model "Limited" only has "automatic headlight leveling" without any way to manually set level to raise up the beam to a safe level. 2. Low-beam headlights cast on the road a distracting dark outline of an attachment or harness plug attached to the LED bulb.

The Toyota Crown Signia Tire Pressure Monitoring gauge has to be reset to properly display on each start versus staying in place on the drivers monitoring dashboard. All other driver monitoring aids, once selected to display on the monitoring dash, stay in place per each start cycle. This has existed as a vehicle defect from day 1. Many others have noted the same issue on various Crown Signia bulleting boards. The tire pressure monitoring is important as this vehicle has: 1. No spare, and weighs over 4,200 lbs. 2. The limited model in on 21 inch rims, and runs 235/45R21 tires, ie., very low profile. As such, this should be fixed immediately to ensure this critical information, once set up for monitoring, stays in place for driver monitoring.

When leaning on the front seat center armrest, the armrest makes a clicking noise when hitting rough or bumpy roads. The Toyota dealer replaced the armrest, and the same issue occurred. Toyota told the dealer they want the part to investigate further.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
1 complaint
While driving less than 10 mph, (slightly down hill) approaching the house garage, the car suddenly accelerated and the brake was applied to stop but the car continued and smashed through the garage door, proceeded through garage, smashed through the back of garage, hit a Weber gas grill, proceeded over a low-level deck and hit a large tree. The impact force of the car (left front) against the tree caused the car rear end to rise up and move 30 degrees to the right and land on the low-level deck. The driver was the only person in the car and suffered a broken right wrist and contusions to her chest. Both Front air bags did not deploy, side air bags did deploy. There was no warning given and the Car collision avoidance system did not stop the car. The damage to car was total. Car Emergency Voice activated and assisted in notifying ambulance and police. Insurance has reviewed the damage, but I am not aware that they are investigating for cause. There has been one other sudden acceleration reported of a 2025 Crown Signa. There is history of malfunctions of the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) (per Google). There is an Event Data Recorder (EDR) on the car, but I don't know what is on it. This needs to be investigated. (If this unintended acceleration happened in a grocery parking lot, or on a highway, there could have been serious injuries or a death).

SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
1 complaint
As I was driving down a suburban road at about 30mph the brakes suddenly came on by themselves for few seconds as I approached a parked car on my right side. As I started to pass this car my vehicle continued moving forewarned and I did not come to a complete stop. There were no cars in front or behind me except for the one car parked to my right. There were two electric beeps when the car braked.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE

The car was leased on 12/18/2024. On 01/24/2025, after starting the vehicle, the check engine light came on with the description: "a malfunction in the electronic control of the engine, throttle, or automatic transmission has been detected. Contact your Toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected." I am attempting to get an appointment now to get the car in for service but being a month old - this shouldn't be happening.

SEAT BELTS,ENGINE
1 complaint
I had buckled my seat belt and was grabbing my work phone, Iphone 13, to check it before leaving. I accidentally dropped it and it landed on the red part of my seat belt buckle. My seat belt automatically unbuckled. I was able to replicate this several more times. There is something going on with the engine where if you accelerate there is a coolant type smell then if you take your foot off the gas it sounds like the rpms are staying high. I've seen no warning lights for the car.
