Mechanic stated that the secondary air injection system is a common problem in this generation of Tundra.. I have had my check engine light come on 3 different times and addressed each by replacing all the sensors to the secondary air injection system. My mechanic is a Toyota dealer mechanic. My issue is that my car has lost power to accelerate at highway speeds and came close to causing and accident. I am now at my third attempt at replacing now the actual pump. I understand that Toyota has replaced the gooseneck part where the hose is attaches to the pump. This tells me that there was a problem or else why would they change a good thing? Is there a warranty for this part?

Cam tower leaks oil on the heat shield below it. Cam tower uses rtv rubber seal instead of a gasket. The rubber deteriorates and the cam tower leaks engine oil on the heat shield. Not clear why Toyota used form in place rubber material instead of real gasket. Repair however is major. Need to take apart engine to repair. Major repair. The fix is to replace it with the same material again. Which is subject to deteriorate again. This is a know issue on the 5.7 L engine. Toyota seems to have its head in the sand hoping they shouldn’t be forced to recall. However this is a know design flaw resulting in leaking oil on the heat shield. With no Toyota recommended new design or parts repair except to do it all over again and hope it doesn’t leak again it’s ridiculous. . Terrible design that leaks oil on the heat shield.

The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle and steering wheel started shaking. The contact pulled over safely and inspected the vehicle and noticed there was power steering fluid leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as an engine leak. There was initially no warning light illuminated; however, after arriving home, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 122,000.

ECU PROBLEM. SINCE JUNE 2018, I HAVE STARTED TO SEE DECREASED MPG (AVG 9 MPG, 50/50) AND VEHICLE EXHIBITING HIGH ALC. DENSITY % WHEN FUELED WITH E0/E10 GAS. NO DTC CODES, BUT EXTENDED CRANK EXHIBITED, POOR PERFORMANCE AND SHIFTING OBSERVED. THIS IS A FLEX VEHICLE. FUEL TRIMS WERE WAY INTO NEGATIVE AND I HAVE CALLED TOYOTA AND FILED A CASE WHEN THIS HAPPENED, BUT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BY 2 MONTHS.(CALLED AUG 2018) VEHICLE HAD 55K MILES. THEY SAID ITS UP TO THE DEALERSHIP TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY RE CALIBRATED THE ECU PER TOYOTA TSB 0058-13 (SO THEY KNOW OF THE PROBLEM , BUT NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT) TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING, (DIESELGATE) FOR A YEAR, VEHICLE WAS FINE AND DID NOT SHOW ANY ISSUES WITH ALC. DENSITY % , MPG WAS NORMAL AND PERFORMANCE/DRIVEABILITY IMPROVED, UNTIL SEP 2019. SAME THING. ALC. DENSITY % TOO HIGH CAUSING POOR MPG. I HAVE TO PAY THE DEALER TOO JUST RESET THE VALUES, EVEN THOUGH THIS ISSUE FALLS UNDER FEDERAL EMISSION STANDARDS AND IT HAS WARRANTY OF 84 MONTHS OR 80K. SO EVEN AFTER THE FIX ECU CHANGES THE VALUES AFTER A YEAR. CLEARLY ECU ISSUE THAT TOYOTA DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR. THIS GOES AGAINST GAS EMISSIONS (GHG) AND FUEL ECONOMY STANDARDS FOR LIGHT-DUTY VEHICLES. THERE ARE KNOWN ISSUES ABOUT THIS OUT THERE ON FLEX FUEL TUNDRAS, BUT TOYOTA IS TRYING TO HIDE THIS.

TRUCK STOPPED EXCELLERATING. TOOK TO MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD IT WAS IN SAFE MODE DUE TO THE AIR INJECTION VALUES HAD WATER IN THEM. IT WILL COST $2336.00 TO FIX IT. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED.

THE AIR INJECTION PUMP IS DEFECTIVE AND ALLOWS CONDENSATION AND OR MOISTURE WHICH LEADS TO TOTALLY FAILURE. I HAVE ALREADY SPENT 1100.00 DOLLARS FOR ONE SIDE NOW THE OTHERSIDE IS FAILING..THIS FAILURE CAUSED THE TRUCK TO LACK ANY GET UP WHEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. IT WANTS TO STALL.

I TOOK MY 2013 TOYOTA TUNDRA IN FOR A ROUTINE 55,000 MILE SERVICE AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE STEERING RACK IS FILLING WITH FLUID AND I COULD HAVE IT SIEZE UP ON ME WHILE DRIVING. I PURCHASED ALL WARRANTIES GOOD UNTIL 2020 BUT THEY FEEL THIS DESIGN FLAW SHOULD BE COVERED BY ME THE CONSUMER. I WAS QUOTED $3000.00+ FOR THE REPAIR. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK AFTER PUTTING 100,000+ ON 2006 TUNDRA WITH NOTHING CLOSE TO THIS IS REPAIRS. WHAT IS GOING ON? THE STEERING CAN SIEZE UP, AND THIS ISN'T A RECALL? WHY WOULD I BUY ANOTHER TOYOTA? HOW DO THEY JUSTIFY LETTING THIS LEVEL OF A SAFETY ISSUE TO JUST DRIVE OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP AND SAY IT'S YOUR PROBLEM?

The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer where the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the VIN related to the failure. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided the same information as provided by the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2013 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while the vehicle was taken to a local dealer for repairs, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was an independent dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 84,00 and upon inspection at a local dealer, it was discovered that the mileage was 175,000.

We are a surveying company with a fleet of 35 Toyota Tundra trucks. Two of the trucks in our Denver location have had the engine wiring harness chewed and destroyed by rodents in the parking lot. Each is costing $6,500 to repair. The second truck shorted out and the check engine lights came on, would not start. I am glad this did not fail while someone was driving it. Toyota uses a flexible pipe wrap over some of this wiring that is soy based; the plastic wrapped wiring is unaffected. This problem is well documented on the internet, and very common. Toyota is profiting in a big way from this design defect, and they are compromising safety by risking engine failures due to shorts. They should be forced to install hard plastic wire covers over these harness wires to prevent this damage.

My factory stock Toyota painted steel wheels rotted and I had a 6 inch long area rusted through inside the rim losing air. I was advised by my tire center ,that i took it to ,that was not safe to drive on. I called my local Toyota dealer service manager and was told it was road corrosion and was not under any warranty. What would of happened if I had been on the highway and had a rapid deflation of the tire or what if the wheel broke and came apart. The truck has no rust. I replaced all 4 wheels the very next day. These wheels should be recalled and inspected and replaced if needed before someone gets hurt.

In 2017 while driving home from a restaurant with my husband, mother and sister when on highway 60 in Show Low Arizona we started experiencing a shaking which seemed to come from the from end of the truck. Since we were only a short distance from home we slowly made our way down the side road. As soon as we turned into our driveway the truck came to a quick stop. We jumped out and found that the passenger front tire and rim had separated from the truck. A full bed tow truck came and took the truck to Hatch Toyota in Show Low Arizona. The second incident occurred last year (2021) while we were moving to Sarcoxie Missouri. My husband was on Interstate 40 just east of Albuquerque when he experienced the truck shaking and upon immediately pulling off to the side of the road noted the left front wheel and rim had separated from the vehicle. The truck was taken to the Albuquerque Toyota for repair. I am having the rims replaced at this time as I understand that after-market rims may be the cause. I would really like to know for sure. I would not want to trade this truck in for fear of another family being harmed.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PRIME TOYOTA IN LANCASTER, MA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TWO FRONT TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED A DAY LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,500.

Plastic piece and spring have ejected from the seat belt receiver and now the receiver does not latch on to the seat belt when it is inserted into the receiver (driver side but could happen to any/all). The seat belt no longer buckles.

THE DRIVERS SEAT BELT IS ALREADY SHOWING SEVERE WEAR (WITH FRAYING) ON THE BELT, AND THE SEAT BELT LATCH IS ALSO LOSE AT IT'S MOUNTING POINT ON THE DRIVERS SEAT FRAME. THE WHOLE LATCH ASSEMBLY "CLUNKS" WHEN I PULL ON IT, OR EVERY TIME I STOP THE CAR.

THERE IS RUST ON THE FRAME AND BUBBLING THROUGH MY TRUCK BED LINER. FROM FORBES I NOTICED THERE WAS A $3.4 BILLION RECALL FOR TOYOTA TRUCKS AND SUVS FROM 2005-2010. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW FROM JOE PECHELES TOYOTA IN WASHINGTON, NC. I DISCOVERED DENTS IN THE ROOF 5 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE. THE ROOF SOMETIMES VIBRATES AND MAKES NOISE WHEN DRIVEN. YOU CAN PLACE YOUR HAND ALMOST ANYWHERE ON THE ROOF AND IT CAVITATES. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND TOYOTA'S CUSTOMER CARE. I WAS TOLD IN AN EMAIL BY THEIR CUSTOMER CARE DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR [XXX] THAT THIS IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAD A MEETING WITH DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER [XXX] AND JOE PECHELES GENERAL MANAGER [XXX] ON FEB. 17, 2014. I WAS SHOWN A DIAGRAM OF THE ROOF AND THE SUPPORT BRACES. THE INTERIOR LINER WAS REMOVED AND [XXX] LOOKED AT THE SUPPORT BRACES AND TOLD ME THE ROOF MET MANUFACTURING SPECIFICATIONS AND THAT THEY COULD NOT ACCOUNT FOR THE DENTS AND THE CAVITATING. HE SUGGESTED THAT MAYBE SOMETHING HEAVY WAS PLACED ON THE ROOF TO CAUSE THE DENTS EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO EVIDENCE TO MATCH HIS CLAIM, NO SCRATCHES, SCRAPES, THE PAINT IS PERFECT, THE INDENTS ARE NOT LOCATED IN A SPECIFIC AREA. HE STATED ALL TOYOTA TUNDRA'S WITH A SUN ROOF ARE MANUFACTURED THE SAME. WHEN THE INTERIOR LINER WAS REMOVED I PLACED MY HAND ON THE ROOF JUST ABOVE THE SUPPORT BRACES AND THE ROOF FLEXES WHERE IT'?S SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPORTED MOST, THE METAL IS VERY THIN. THERE WAS NO AUTO BODY MECHANIC TO ANSWER ANY OF MY CONCERNS DURING THIS MEETING AND THEY CONVENIENTLY HAD NO OTHER TUNDRA WITH A SUNROOF TO COMPARE WITH MINE. EARLIER WHEN I WAS COMMUNICATING WITH TOYOTA CUSTOMER CARE I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP. I WAS TOLD THE ROOF WAS NOT STRUCTURALLY SUPPORTED PROPERLY AND THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE TO PROPERLY FIX IT. I EMAILED THIS INFORMATION TO THEIR CUSTOMER CARE DEPARTMENT AND NO MENTION HAS BEEN MADE BY TOYOTA ABOUT THE FINDINGS. I WAS PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY, ABOUT TO PARK. WHEN I BRAKED IT WAS AS IF THE "POWER" IN THE POWER BRAKES HAD FAILED. I HAD TO STOMP ON THE PEDAL. I NEARLY HIT MY HOUSE. THIS WAS ONE WEEK AGO. TODAY, AS I LEFT A PARKING LOT, I NOTICED IT HAPPEN AGAIN: VERY LITTLE STOPPING POWER, BUT NO SOFTNESS IN THE PEDAL. I PLACED THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK AND SAW NO BRAKE FLUID UNDER THE TRUCK. I BEGAN DRIVING SLOWLY AGAIN, AND HAD TO STOMP THE PEDAL TO OBTAIN BRAKING POWER. THE BRAKE LIGHT SUDDENLY CAME ON. A CLICK OR PULSE OCCURED IN THE BRAKES, FELT THROUGH THE PEDAL, AND SUDDENLY THE BRAKES BEGAN FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE BRAKE LIGHT REMAINED LIT UNTIL I STOPPED AND RESTARTED THE TRUCK. UPON RESTARTING THE TRUCK, EVERYTHING FUNCTIONED NORMALLY, AND THE BRAKE LIGHT DID NOT LIGHT AGAIN. I WILL NOT DRIVE THE TRUCK UNTIL IT GETS INTO THE DEALER (THEY'RE BOOKED FOR 3 DAYS). THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN, AND I SEE THAT ANOTHER OWNER HAS REPORTED A SIMILAR PROBLEM. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS!

WHEN DRIVING ON CONCRETE INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS AT SPEEDS OVER 65 MPH THERE IS EXCESSIVE BED BOUNCE ON THE PICKUP CREATING EXTREME VIBRATION IN THE CABIN AND AFFECTING THE HANDLING OF THE PICKUP. BOUGHT THIS TRUCK USED WITH 8,000 MILES ON IT. IT CAME WITH A PLATINUM EXTENDED WARRANTY TRANSFERRED FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER. AT 18,000 MILES THE SEAT WAS MOVING, POPPING AND FELT LIKE SPRINGS WERE POKING ME. SURE ENOUGH, THE SEAT FRAME HAD "WORN OUT". WAS REPLACED BY DEALER WITH FACTORY WARRANTY. 42,000 MILES THE SEAT ISSUE IS BACK, BUT DIFFERENT THIS TIME. THE SEAT ACTUALLY MOVES SIDE TO SIDE AND "CLUNKS" WHEN STOPPING AND GOING OR TURNING. DEALER SAYS THAT THIS MAY NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE PLATINUM WARRANTY. I WILL UPDATE THIS AFTER I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER THIS WEEK. IF I HAD WANTED A HUNK OF JUNK, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT A DODGE! SEAT RAIL LOOSE ON DRIVERS SIDE SEAT. SEAT IS BOLTED FIRMLY TO FLOOR BUT THE RAIL THAT IT SLIDES ON IS LOOSE. PROBLEM STARTED AT 30,000 MILES AND TRUCK HAS 40,000. TOYOTA WANT 1100.00 TO FIX THE SEAT BECAUSE ITS OUT OF WARRANTY. TOYOTA OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE RAIL AT 700.00 AND I PAY 300.00 FOR INSTALL. While driving at various speeds (25mph or 65mph) I let off on the accelerator to either slow down or come to a stop, when accelerating again I get a check engine light and I have no power. I limp along for several minutes then all of a sudden the fuel pedal sensor that tells the ecu where the fuel pedal is at catches up and I’m able to continue on with my ride. This is a very dangerous situation to have happen because you are not expecting it and when it does happen it is very unnerving. I’ve spoken to various Toyota dealers and there seems to be a nonchalant attitude about it.

Toyota frame rusting recall is cut off at 2010. I have a 2013 that the bed is rusting out because of the plastic Toyota branded beds the factory installed when it was new. The frame and rear axle also show rusting. I am paying out if pocket to stay safe.

The contact owned a 2013 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, another vehicle had run a red light and crashed into the front grill assembly of the contact's vehicle then the other vehicle spun and crashed into the driver side of the contact's vehicle. The contact's front driver seat moved inadvertently towards the steering wheel but the seat belt did not prevent the contact's neck, chest, and stomach from slamming into the steering wheel. The contact heard a loud bang and the air bags deployed, filling the inside of the vehicle with a powder substance. The contact and passenger were transported to the hospital by ambulance with injuries sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a towing yard and deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened but the manufacturer informed the contact that there was no recall for the air bags associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was 72,120. Consumer stated driver airbag exploded before it could inflate. Driver was injured.

ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS I WAS DRIVING MY TUNDRA ON THE FREEWAY AT APPROX. 70 MPH. MY TRUCK LOST POWER AND I ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS ON BOTH INSTANCES SINCE I COULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 40 MPH. I HAD TO MANAGE MY WAY OUT OF THE FREEWAY TO A SAFE PLACE. 2TWO DIAGNOSTICS WERE PERFORMED AND I RECEIVED CODES P0418, P1604, C1241, P2445, P2441. I WAS TOLD BY THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH A FAULTY SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM PUMP AND OTHER COMPONENTS RELATED TO THE SYSTEM AND I WAS PROVIDED A REPAIR COST OF OVER $3,000 DOLLARS. I WAS LATER INFORMED, AND I DISCOVERED THROUGH RESEARCH, THAT TOYOTA HAD INSTALLED FAULTY/DEFECTIVE AIR PUMPS IN THOUSANDS OF TUNDRAS 2013'S LIKE THE ONE THAT I OWN. I REACHED OUT TO CORPORATE OFFICE BUT THEY STATED THAT MY VIN NUMBER SOMEHOW DID NOT "QUALIFY" AS ONE OF THE AFFECTED PICKUPS. MY TUNDRA ONLY HAS 60K MILES AND I USE IT TO COMMUTE FROM AND TO WORK BASICALLY. I PERFORM ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WITH A DEFECTIVE SECONDARY AIR PUMP SYSTEM THAT TOYOTA REFUSES TO FIX. MY TRUCK IS A LIABILITY ON THE ROAD AND THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. IT LOOSES POWER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ACTIVATES. TOYOTA RECALLED THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES LIKE MINE AND FIXED THEM AFTER THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEY HAD PLACED FAULTY AIR PUMP SYSTEMS. I TURNED THE KEY AND THE ENGINE STARTED RIGHT AWAY AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE AGAIN BUT ONLY AT A REDUCED SPEED OF 40 MPH OR LESS ( IT'S CALLED "LIMP" MODE) MY MECHANIC DIAGNOSED IT AS A SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATING THIS ON SEVERAL TUNDRA OWNER MESSAGE BOARDS, I FIND THAT THIS IS A COMMON FAILURE TUNDRA TRUCKS AT AROUND 75000 MILES. TOOK TRUCK IN AT 14,000 MILES WITH A DISTINCT VIBRATION TO DEALER WHERE TRUCK WAS LEASED. TRUCK WAS RETURNED WITH TIRES ROTATED AND TIRES REBALANCED. THIS PROBLEM RESURFACED AGAIN AT 24,000 MILES AND TRUCK AGAIN WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALER. I WAS NOTIFIED BY DEALERS REP. THAT I NEEDED TO BUY 4 NEW TIRES TO WHICH I TOLD DEALER REP THAT THIS TRUCK WAS A LEASED VEHICLE WHICH I DID NOT OWN AND IT WAS UP TO DEALER TO FIX TRUCK. THIS WAS DONE AND TO MY SURPRISE I FOUND OUT THAT THE TOYOTA DEALEE HAD NOT REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES AS INDICATED AT 14,000 MILLES BUT ONLY PUT ON 2 TIRES.

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.

ON MARCH 6 OF 2014 I HAD BROUGHT MY 2013 TOYOTA TUNDRA IN FOR A VERY BAD VIBRATION ISSUE COMING FROM THE BOTTOM IT TURNS OUT WHEN THEY INSPECTED THE TRUCK THAT DRIVESHAFT HAD TO BE REPACKED I WAS IN A RENTAL CAR FOR TWO INCONVENIENCE ME FOR THOSE TWO DAYS WITH NO TRUCK THAT I BOUGHT TO HAVE AND USE FINALLY GOT THE TRUCK BACK EVERYTHING SEEMS OKAY AND THEN ON 531 OF 14 WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY TWO MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST INCIDENT MY TRUCK WAS AGAIN BROUGHT IN FOR A ISSUE COMING FROM THE REAR END NOW THEY STATED ME THAT MY WHEEL BEARING HAD WENT WENT BAD WITH PROXIMATELY ONLY 11,256 MILES I'M NO MECHANIC BUT I DO KNOW WHEEL-BEARINGS GO WAY LONGER.. SEVEN MONTHS LATER WHAT DO YOU KNOW 18,000 MILES MY WHOLE FRONT END ALIGNMENT WAS WAY OUT OF WHACK I'M NO MECHANIC BUT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THIS TRUCK CAUSING ALL THESE PROBLEMS I HAD CALLED CORPORATE AND THEY PRETTY MUCH GAVE ME THE RUNAROUND THAT MY TRUCK WAS BOUGHT USED AND NOT NEW AT THEIR DEALERSHIP SO BASICALLY LEAVING ME WITH A TRUCK THAT SOMEONE HAD BOTTON WITH ONLY 500 MILES ON IT AND THEY KNEW IT HAD ISSUES AND NOW I'M STUCK WITH IT I RUNI'M RUNNING OUT OF OPTIONS I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO CAN YOU PLEASE HELP *JS

ON 08/22/14, I HAD BEEN TO THE LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TO HAVE MY OIL CHANGED. I ASKED THEM TO LOOK AT THE BRAKES BECAUSE THERE WAS A TERRIBLE VIBRATION AND THE BRAKES HAVE NOT STOPPED WELL SINCE I BOUGHT THE TRUCK. THEY SAID THE TRUCK NEEDED NEW BRAKES, ROTORS AND PADS ALL THE WAY AROUND. I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE IT BACK ON 08/29/14. ON 08/28/14 WHILE DRIVING ON A CLEAR ROAD WITH NO RAIN OR CLOUDS I WENT TO STOP AND I PUSHED THE BRAKES TO THE FLOOR WITH BOTH FEET AND THE TRUCK DID NOT STOP AND I HIT ANOTHER CAR. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH TOYOTA AND THEY FINALLY ORDERED AN INSPECTOR TO GET THE BLACK BOX FROM MY TRUCK. HE HAS NOT CALLED TO SCHEDULE THIS AND IT IS 3 WEEKS LATER. I HAVE LEFT MESSAGE AFTER MESSAGE. I BELIEVE THE BRAKES ARE FAULTY WITH THE TRUCK. THERE IS NO REASON AT 9000 MILES ON A NEW TRUCK THAT IT SHOULD NEED NEW BRAKES, ROTORS AND PAD ALL THE WAY AROUND. THE BODY OF THE TRUCK IS DESIGNED TO ALLOW RODENTS/MICE INTO THE CAB WHERE THEY CAN CHEW THE WIRING WHICH WILL LEAD TO A VARIETY OF PROBLEMS. THE TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS ABOUT 3300 MILES ON IT. WHEN I CONTACTED THE DEALER THEY SAID YEAH ALL THESE TRUCKS HAVE THIS, WHAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED SO WE CAN GET IT IN FOR REPAIR. I ASKED IF IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY SAID NO. COATING THE WIRING WITH A SOY (MOUSE FOOD) BASED PRODUCT IS INSANITY UNLESS YOU'RE TRYING TO INCREASE YOUR REPAIR BUSINESS. THERE ARE 16 COMPUTERS IN THIS TRUCK THAT CONTROL EVERYTHING. WHEN THE WIRING IS DAMAGED BECAUSE OF THIS DESIGN FLAW ALL SORTS OF MALFUNCTIONS WILL OCCUR THAT INCLUDE STEERING, ENGINE QUITTING, BRAKES FAILING, THROTTLE, LIGHTS, ETC. THE DEALER IS VERY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND SPECIALIZES IN FIXING IT TO THE TUNE OF ABOUT $200 SO FAR. I HAVEN'T HAD A WIRING PROBLEM BECAUSE OF MICE BUT OTHERS HAVE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED FROM INJURIES TO THE HEAD, NECK AND SHOULDERS. IN ADDITION, THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S BODY SUSTAINED SEVERE INJURIES.
