My vehicle had an engine rod bearing issue before the 1st recall, they replaced part of the engine. My vehicle also went through a starter recall and they also changed the rod bearing with the corrected part that was in for the last recall. Currently, my engine is still having the exact same rod bearing issue which is a safety concern for me. It’s currently at Ed Voyles Acura in Chamblee, GA waiting on a decision from corporate Acura. They will determine if they will pay for the repairs of my vehicle due to an old recall. This is the worse experience I have had with the Acura brand and I have had 3 Acuras in my life time. I think Acura is a beautiful car company with great performance. I would love if this situation would allow me a rental until my vehicle is fixed. Thank you.

I am writing to formally request assistance with a premature engine failure on my 2019 Acura TLX A-Spec 3.5L (VIN: [XXX] , Mileage: 95k I have consistently followed Acura’s recommended maintenance schedule, as documented by my service history. My vehicle was also serviced under [insert recall number if you have it] at [insert dealer name], as required by Acura, and I have attached records confirming that the recall work was performed. Despite this compliance with all required maintenance and recall service, my vehicle has experienced a serious engine malfunction. This failure appears to be related to the same type of connecting rod bearing or crankshaft issue currently under investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA Preliminary Evaluation PE25008), which covers the 2018–2020 Acura TLX with the 3.5L V6 engine. Given that: •I have properly maintained the vehicle as recommended. •The recall repair was performed, yet the engine failure still occurred. •NHTSA is investigating this exact issue as a potential defect affecting safety and reliability. I am respectfully requesting goodwill coverage for the full cost of the necessary engine repair or replacement. If Acura is unable to offer immediate coverage, I request that this case remain open and that I be considered for reimbursement should a recall or service campaign be issued as a result of the ongoing NHTSA investigation. This car suffers from the engine and rod bearing recall. I took the car to Park Avenue Acura to complete the recall work. The car had significant damage from the rod bearing issue and the dealership had the car for a month. They replaced the rod bearing, crank shaft, regular fuel pump among other things. Once I received the car, the car failed and became inoperable. This time the high pressure fuel pump became defective. While Acura representative informed me that there is (i) active recall on the high pressure fuel pump (but not on my vin) and (ii) direct impact of replacing regular fuel pump on leading to high pressure fuel pump failure, as my vin is not currently acknowledged, my repairs would not be covered. I would like to request that the scope of the VIN numbers be re-evaluated and secondly the impact of fuel pumps replacement leading to other fuel pump be evaluated such that the recall work can cover both issues related to the rod bearing.

The dealership (Rollit Motors at 60 N Gilbert Rd, Mesa, AZ 85203) appears to have listed the same vehicle—a 2019 Acura TLX with VIN [XXX] two different listings with significantly different mileage and pricing. •One listing shows 58,703 miles priced at $24,990. •Another shows 85,233 miles priced at $21,995. •Both listings use the same exact VIN and show identical exterior/interior colors, trim (3.5L Technology Pkg w/A-Spec), and photos of the same car. When I contacted the dealership, they verbally confirmed “this is the only one we have left” but did not clarify the mileage discrepancy. I have screenshots of both listings and the dealership’s communication. I believe this may be an attempt to roll back mileage or misrepresent vehicle condition to inflate the value, which is potentially odometer fraud. Please investigate this VIN and dealership’s advertising practices. I can provide additional evidence if necessary. The engine seized due to failed cylinder rod and/or Engine bearing. This model has had a recall for the exact same issue in the past. It has been repair from when the previous owner had the car. Now this exact same issue occurred on 06/09/2025, after a month of driving the vehicle. I was driving and in the middle of nowhere my engine stopped working and it was hard to steer, couldn't accelerate, car was in motion and had to safely pull off the road. I was stranded in the Las Vegas heat, in Henderson, in the middle of no where for 5 hours. The vehicle is getting repaired at a local repair shop with a replacement engine but I'm unsure if the newer engine has had the recall service done to it or not, so there is a potential possibility that this issue can occur again. I've had to spend 400 including deductible to repair the vehicle and is being repaired with the help of my warranty. I did not get any warnings on dash or anything.

I had the stop bearing rod recall performed on my 2019 Acura TLX along with a fuel pump recall. After less than 10,000 miles I am informed that my high pressure fuel pump has failed. When the did the recall on the vehicle they only did the low pressure fuel pump when there is known issue of the high pressure fuel pump failing.

Driving on the hwy on left most lane, car started jerking when accelerating and slowing when hitting the accelerator. Check engine light blinks on and off while this is happening. Scary and terrifying moment on the hwy, was able to get into emergency lane and slowly get car off hwy into parking lot. Got the car towed to Acura, they ran "diagnostics" and could not replicate the problem or even find the check engine code. They recommended 7 items of which some were complete nonsense and upselling instead of finding the solution to dangerous problem. Seems like the fuel pump issue and they won't confirm anything. Saying I need at oil change with 40% left on indicator, tire rotation, ac filter, and other non sense upsells instead of finding the problem that almost caused accident. Acura dealership had no clue when fuel pump part will come in and I have no other vehicle. NHTSA needs to fine Acura and tell them to stop selling new cars and fix the 2.5 million on the road today with problem. Need help on this!

NHTSA RECALL NUMBER:19V-060 appears to be EXACTLY what is going on with my vehicle. I was broke down on the side of the road with warning lights on my dashboard. After having it towed to my mechanic they were able to identify the issue is related to the fuel pump. I looked up issues with my 2019 Acura TLX and fuel pumps and found that there is a recall. Only my VIN does not qualify for the recall. However, the issue described in the recall is EXACTLY what's going on with my TLX. I was lucky enough not to have an accident but I very well could of if I had not pulled off the highway!

My families safety has been put at risk due to the lack of response from Acura/Honda regarding a recall that may cause the engine in our car to seize up due to a manufacturing defect. I have gotten no response from the Acura dealer other than to say that I can pay for the inspection and be reimbursed if there is a problem. But if there is no problem, I will be out the cost of it. I paid 40,000.00 for a car that has 7500 miles on it and I am afraid to let my wife or son drive it. If I don't get some sort of response soon, I will just file a lemon law claim as the car is useless until it's inspected, and no, i'm not going to pay for that.

I recently changed the car battery and now notice that occasionally my car rattles a little then automatically shifts to neutral while at a red light, drive thru etc. Additionally, occasionally when parked with engine still running, my rattles a little and car shuts off. When this happens it displays the battery and oil light. I start it back up with no problem. I’ve taken it to the dealership and I’m told nothing is wrong with the car. This makes me feel unsafe while driving.

Stopped at red light and car would not restart after the auto idle turn off function had engaged. All lights on dash flashed and car kept going into neutral. Car would not restart for nearly 10 minutes and I was left stranded in an incredibly busy intersection with cars flying around me honking and yelling. I could have been killed as well as the man who stopped to help me. Incredibly angry to call my local Acura dealership and find out that this is a KNOWN problem. Makes me sick to think how many lives are in danger and no actual recall has been done to my knowledge.

On several occasions I have experienced issues with the performance of my vehicle. Upon start up and attempting to move forward while the car is in drive the vehicle hesitates to move and feels like it is going to choke and stop. I have experienced this same issue at stops while the car is in operation. There is an open recall for 2015-20 TLX no SH-AWD Fuel Pump Mtr Saf Recall Exp2, RECALL DATE:12/18/2023 which has yet to be fixed. I have been told by Tempe Acura that the parts are not available and basically I will be called when the parts are available. My safety and the safety of others are at risk when the car is not accelerating and causing a stalling or non-movement of the car. I have experienced the car stalling abruptly and coming to hard stops. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer by notice in the mail. The vehicle has been inspected when another recall was fixed which took over a year to resolve. This specific issue has yet to be resolved. There was another issue of the car stalling, which the dealer states that the electronic system needed a computer update. The problem first appeared when I purchased the car from {XXX]. 1. Fuel pump module and engine crankshaft. 2. For the fuel pump module, the engine may not start or can stall while driving; increasing the risk of crashing or injury. For the engine crankshaft, the connecting rod bearing can prematurely wear and seize, causing engine damage. The damaged engine may run improperly or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury. 3. The problem hasn’t been reproduced or confirmed by the dealer. 4. The vehicle hasn’t been inspected. 5. There were no warning signs. I have received letters in mail regarding the recalls, however the dealership has advised the first available appointment to service my car is September 2025.

I received two recalls and multiple notices saying the parts are not available for the recall. Over 6 months later I receive a notice the parts are finally available. I tried to make an appointment with my local dealer and was told they will not repair unless the check engine light is on. If what happens in the recall (fire, crash or injury), how will I be able to get the check engine light to come on? I'm afraid to drive the car because I don't want to be stranded, plus I don't want the car to catch fire, cause a crash or be injured. Why isn't Honda/Acura making the parts to correct this problem and why is the dealer not complying with the recall notices I'm receiving? On the Acura recall website, when I enter my VPN, it notes to please take immediate action to have your vehicle repaired but the dealer won't do it! As I'm looking at the additional details below...it appears that a fire, crash or injury needs to happen. Unbelievable!

My Acura TLX engine Drive reduced completely on the highway, Went going 60 to 25 roughly up to date maintenance 100% oil life and Now Im concern that’s my vechile has been manufactured failed. Since I purchased my vehicle my seat beats get stuck unable to clip belt. My car came with speakers not working dealer tried to tell me I was crazy, until the speaker system was check Yess sure enough no speaker sound at all. In my main base front center Speaker ( VeryBig Deal) all of this last Friday my TLX aspec 3.5v6 has been Making noise and running at a very low reduced speed for no apparent reason while flashing a Engine sign. Flash blank with warning engine. This Event has put me at risk of safety and protection of customer purchase violations as I developed change in my daily life being blind sided about my Acura TLX Car safety and manufacturing issues. I complaint about this after purchase of vechile and They fixed the repair at no charge. But who wants they car ripped apart never in same fresh condition as purchase. I now receive bends in dash board related to speaking replacements documented in Acura Profile. Yes it hasn’t been my car has been diagnostic and going for rare down of engine components at the Acura dealer. This is outrageous and so scary knowing I have too been dealt a bad TLX.

The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

FRONT SENSOR WARNING REPEATEDLY GOES OFF WHEN STOPPED WHENEVER IT RAINS. IT WILL CONTINUE TO ALERT WHEN GOING FROM A FULL STOP TO MOVING FOR SEVERAL SECONDS AND STOP. IT WILL RESTART THE ALERT ONCE THE CAR COMES TO A FULL STOP AGAIN. THIS REPEATED ERRONEOUS SENSOR ALERT SERVES AS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AS IT SERVES AS A CONSTANT AND DANGEROUS DISTRACTION TO THE DRIVER. EACH TIME THE ALERT GOES OFF IT DRIVES YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD AND ONTO THE ALERT ON THE DASHBOARD CREATING THE POTENTIAL FOR INVOLVEMENT IN ACCIDENTS. THIS ISSUE WAS NOTICED ON DELIVERY OF THE NEW LEASED VEHICLE. AT THAT TIME IT WAS THE LEFT FRONT SENSOR WHICH HAD THE SAME ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER 3 SEPARATE TIMES WHERE THE LEFT FRONT SENSOR WAS READJUSTED THEN ON THE NEXT VISIT REPLACED. PROBLEM CONTINUED, ON THE THIRD VISIT THE ENTIRE FRONT END OF THE CAR WAS REMOVED AND DONE WHICH RESOLVED THE LEFT FRONT SENSOR BUT RESULTED IN THE CONTINUOUS FRONT CENTER SENSOR ALERTING. VALLEY STREAM ACURA HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE AND HAS OFFERED NO RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.

The car will stall. The auto start/stop does not turn the car back on. The car fails to start sometimes when trying to leave. We have almost been rear ended multiple times, the transmission stalls and will not “go” when you press the gas or the car won’t even turn back on. We have contacted Acura and a local dealer. Both say they do not have a remedy for this issue yet even though it’s part of the recall and keep pushing it off to the next season. Each time I call for an inspection, I get told there is nothing they can do. I ask about seeking legal advice and they just tell me they don’t have a remedy so a lawyer can not help me.

I leased a new Acura TLX vin [XXX] from Hall Automotive Virginia Beach in April 2019. After about 3 years the lettering on the drive gear selector button started wearing off when the car had about 12000 miles and was still under its 4 year factory warranty. I have been very careful with my car and did not expose it to any chemicals that would cause this (and this has never happened on any of my other vehicles). During the warranty period I took the car to 2 different Acura dealers (Hall Acura and Priority Acura Chesapeake VA) who both said that Acura would not replace it under warranty. I also called Acura who told me to go to a dealer which I had already done. This is a potential safety hazard as it could make it more difficult to put the car into gear. The contact owns a 2019 Acura TLX. The contact stated while driving approximately 45-50 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently shifted into neutral causing the vehicle to slow down and stop in traffic. The contact was able to pull over and call a tow truck to take the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the emissions warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.

I was pulling on to interstate 5 when attempting lane change I accelerated with no success. The gas pedal was pressed harder and still no acceleration and that went on for at least 3 to 4 seconds. This happens to me every day. I have tried different brands of fuel but always premium and that has made no changes. Internal failure of front facing camera. This has caused issues with the auto braking abd lane assist. My mechanic recreated the issue and tried to clear the codes but said camera needs replacing. Acura should recall this or compensate people, it is over 1500. Car is only 6 years old

The contact owns a 2019 Acura TLX. The contact stated that the auto START/STOP system was inoperable, and the vehicle was repaired under TSB Number: 22-008. Additionally, the contact stated while driving at various speeds, the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) was intermittently inoperable. The contact stated that on the occasions that the LKAS was operable while driving, the lane keeping assist caused the steering wheel to jerk and pull the vehicle into another lane. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while driving. Additionally, the contact stated that the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) engaged while there was no other vehicle nearby. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle sputtered, jerked, decelerated, and significantly pulled towards side of the road. The contact was able to safely pull to the side of the road. The messages "Road Departure Mitigation Problem", "Lane Keeping Assist problem", "Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem" and other unknown messages were displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the Forward Collision Avoidance camera had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

In 2022, my 2019 Acura TLX A-Spec received a warranty engine replacement due to a spun bearing. At that time, recall 23V-751 (connecting rod bearing defect) did not yet exist. Recently, the replacement engine developed a pronounced knocking/ticking noise at idle and during light acceleration. Multiple independent mechanics and an Acura service department confirmed the noise is abnormal and consistent with connecting rod bearing wear as described in the recall. Acura advised that my VIN is not included in the recall because the original engine was replaced. However, the replacement engine was supplied by Acura prior to the recall and may contain the same defective components. The dealership and Acura corporate did not inspect the internal components or verify whether the replacement engine used the revised bearing parts — they only referenced the VIN and engine number to deny recall eligibility. I currently have an open case with Acura, and the vehicle is scheduled for diagnostic inspection. I was informed that if the issue is determined to be related to recall 23V-751, diagnostic costs may be reimbursed, but there is no guarantee. This situation raises concern because my symptoms, timeline, and component failure are consistent with the known defect, yet my vehicle remains excluded from coverage. Given the safety implications of possible engine seizure or loss of power while driving, I am requesting that NHTSA review whether vehicles with Acura-supplied replacement engines should also fall under recall 23V-751. All service records and warranty history with Acura are available for review upon request.

Engine failure due to spun rod bearing due to the rod bearing connection failing. Vehicle suddenly became completely immobile stopping on a busy road in the city during morning rush hour. Vehicle not only put me in danger, but many other drivers on the road because it stopped halfway into the street refusing to go forward or shift to neutral to be pushed up. There were no electrical or battery issues. Yes, the dealership has acknowledged there is a recall that has not come out yet on the rod bearing connection as well as letters from Acura regarding this problem. Yes, Acura dealership service center has inspected the vehicle with no solution proposed or a diagnosis even. No warning lights until the engine completely failed. There was a rattling/tickling sound for a few days prior to my appointment to get it checked out. The rattling grew faster upon pressing on the gas while parked and accelerating while driving. The vehicle’s engine failed on my way to the service center. The profession was very quickly on a Monday the rattling began it was driven less than 10 miles daily until the engine completely failed on Friday which was the first available service appointment.

The contact owned a 2019 Acura TLX. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH the vehicle was losing forward velocity and the steering was pulling slightly to the right. The contact stated that the vehicle suddenly and violently turned to the right. The contact was not aware of any warning lights. The contact was unable to counter turn and the vehicle crashed into the guard rail on the right front bumper. The contact stated that the force of the crash shot his vehicle to the left, crossed two lanes of traffic and crashed into the guard rail on the left side of the highway. The contact stated that this crash with the guardrail deployed the drivers side curtain air bag. The contact stated that the force of the crash shot the vehicle to the right and he drove off of the roadway down a slight embankment. The contact was able to stop and exit the vehicle. The contact saw that front bumper had sheared off and that the right fender and wheel well were crushed. The contact stated that the he could see the right tire suspension and control arms were exposed and fractured. The contact stated that the damage of the left side of the vehicle was not as severe. The contact stated that the passenger side curtain air bag had also deployed. The contact stated that the police were on scene and wrote a report. The contact stated that he was transported by ambulance to the ER. The contact stated that he had bruises and cuts on his right temple and check and swelling, cuts and bruises on the left cheek and left temple and forehead. The contact stated he was released after treatment. The contact stated that the vehicle had been towed to an impound lot. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact had received recall notice for NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and related the failure to the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.

Well, today November 3 , car have 70900 miles, few weeks ago Acura do a replacements, recall fuel, problems, today warning , engine and ( P ) Brake system came on , and i look in the forum of this type of issues with Acuras and some many diferents opinions. To many complaint about this problems with Acura. I am worry that driving the car with this issues ruins the car. But its the only transportation that i have. Thanks

Im not sure what fails but the car wont start after coming to a stop with the auto off function and almost caused an accident because when the light turned green i couldnt take off because the car didnt start up and the car behind me almost hit me. It has happened other times at stop signs and any other stop ive made. I have to press the button my self to start up again. I havent had it inspected because i havent had any time. There are no warning lights on

High pressure fuel pump failure. Car not functional and every warning light started to light up. The car just was serviced for rod bearing (entire crank shaft needed replacement) and regular fuel pump recall replacement which took the dealership almost a month to complete. I spoke to Acura representative who indicated that when either of the fuel pump or high pressure fuel pump is replaced, the other pump could fail. I'm not sure why both of the fuel pumps (standard and high) are not both replaced as part of the recall if there is substantial damage as was my case. Also, please note that there is an active high pressure fuel pump recall on my car, just not my vin.

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The manufacturer had an electrical technician to inspect the vehicle; however, the failure was not duplicated. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

2019 Acura TLX 28k miles - was slowing pulling into a parking spot in a parking garage downtown San Diego. Suddenly the car had no brakes while pressing the brake pedal to the floor with no resistance from the brakes, the car start revving hard and accelerating very fast. I stopped by hitting a brick barrier. Steering wheel and knee airbags deployed. Fortunately I arrived at work early that day and did not hit anyone or any other cars. Our Insurance company USAA said they can not repair the car. The automatic emergency equipment did not kick in either. Acura was advised of the issue case number [XXX]. Fortunately my injuries were minor cuts and bruising but if this incident had happened somewhere else it could have resulted in loss of life. This car exhibits rumbling when goinin to a decreasing downward motion as if its trying to change gear but cant. coming home from a doctors appointment last month it was raining an coming up to the top of a very small hill and just as i hit the top at the point the shocks start to lift up I almost lost control. This is not the first time its happened. It usually happens in a decelerating turn. but I have tried to get appointments with Huntsville and nashvile dealerships. Hunstville had my appointment i waited for for 4 months and it was around june the 14th and they told me not to come in they were out of parts. So they had parts but ran out!

It has camera issues where moisture or liquid can go inside, and it is very hard to see when I backup. I have contacted the dealer bodyshop to fix it since they repaired my bumper, but they said it is not their fault and they want more than $1000 to replace it. I did some research online, and a lot of people are having the same issue with poor quality with this brand. I never had camera issues with other brands.

WHEN I BACK OUT OF SOMEWHERE AND SELECT `DRIVE' ON THE TRANSMISSION THERE IS A DELAY OF 2 SECONDS TO 5 SECONDS BEFORE IT ENGAGES IN 'DRIVE' .THAT IS A LONG TIME WHEN A PERSON IS PULLING OUT ON AN ARTERIAL. THE ACCELERATION IWHEN IN 'DRIVE' IS NOT CONSISTENT WITH A SIMILAR HESITATION. FROM THE TIME THE ACCELERATOR HAS BEEN PRESSED IT COULD BE 2 TO 5 SECONDS BEFORE IT BEGINS TO MOVE. IT HAS BEEN TERRIFYING WHEN MERGING ON TO THE FREEWAY OR SIMPLY JUST PULLING OUT ON ANY ROADWAY.THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS SLUGGISH WHEN GOING FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE ALSO BUT THAT IS NOT GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT LIKE NOT BEING ABLE GO FORWARD IS. THIS HAD A RECALL ON FUEL PUMP PROGRAMMING AND THAT MADE LITTLE OR NO IMPROVEMENT. I HAVE ACURA INVOICES AND FILM THAT I HAVE TAKEN ON ANOTHER DEVICE THAT CAN BE PROVIDED.

I WAS ENTERING A LEFT-HAND TURN LANE, WITH A RED LIGHT. THE THIRD-PARTY INVESTIGATION SHOWED I ENTERED THE LANE AT 35MP. I STARTED GENTLE BREAKING AND WHEN THERE WAS NO RESPONSE, I PUSHED THE BRAKE HARD AND TO THE FLOOR. I DID NOT FEEL THE CAR DECELERATE BUT THE INVESTIGATION SHOWS THAT BRAKED FOR 7 SECONDS PLUS AND HIT THE LAST CAR IN LINE AT ABOUT 20MPH. THE INVESTIGATOR WAS UNABLE TO RECREATE THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

OK NOVEMBER 10,2019, TLX DISPLAY BOARDS FOR (NAVIGATION AND TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENTS, USE OF PHONE AND RADIO WOULD CYCLE DOWN ON IT OWN. THIS HAPPENED REPEATEDLY WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE OR PARK. IT CAUSES A HUGE DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING OR GOING INTO REVERSE BECAUSE YOU CANNOT UTILIZE YOUR BACK-UP CAMERA, ADJUST THE TEMPERATURE AND CAUSE A MAJOR DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING. I'VE REPORTED THE ISSUE TO ACURA ADVISED ME ON WHAT STEPS I SHOULD TAKE TO SELF DIAGNOSE THIS. THIS AUTOMOBILE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS PROVIDED LITTLE TO NO UPDATES ON WHAT EXACTLY IS WRONG AND THE AUTOMOBILE HAS BEEN IN THEIR POSSESSION FOR OVER A WEEK.

MY CAR STALLED FOR THE SECOND TIME ON JUNE 12, 2019. FIRST TIME WAS MARCH 31, 2019. SINCE I ALREADY GOT THE RECALL NOTICE (NHTSA RECALL 19V-060) BEFORE THE FIRST TIME, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE ISSUE BY DOING A SOFTWARE UPDATE. HOWEVER, EVEN AFTER THE SOFTWARE UPDATE, IT STALLED AGAIN ON JUNE 12TH, 2019. IT LOOKS LIKE EITHER A NEW ISSUE OR THEIR SOFTWARE UPDATE DID NOT FIX IT. THERE IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY OF THE UPDATED SOFTWARE HAVING NEW BUGS. IN MY CAR, THE ISSUE COULD BE WITH THE COMPUTER, OR OTHER ELECTRONICS OR MECHANICAL DEFECTS WHICH ACURA HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT DURING MY SEVERAL VISITS TO THEIR SERVICE. THIS IS BECAUSE MOST OR ALL FEATURES OF THE CAR HAVE BEEN MALFUNCTIONING EVERSINCE I LEASED IT. ANOTHER BIG ISSUE IS, APPARENTLY, THE CAR COMPUTER DID NOT RECORD THE STALLING THAT HAPPENED ON MARCH 31ST. THEREFORE, IT LOOKS LIKE MY CAR HAS A BIGGER ISSUE THAN JUST SOFTWARE. THE CAR (2019 ACURA TLX) HAS NUMEROUS ISSUES EVER SINCE I LEASED IT IN SEPTEMBER 2018 AND THEY ALL CONTINUE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND NONE OF THE ISSUES HAD BEEN FIXED. ALL FEATURES ON THE CAR MALFUNCTION AND CAUSE DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING. THE SAFETY FEATURES NOT ONLY DON'T SERVE THE PURPOSE OF SAFETY, BUT MALFUNCTION INSTEAD CAUSING DISTRACTION AND ARE VERY UNSAFE. THE CAR WOULD HAVE BEEN SAFER WITHOUT THESE MALFUNCTIONING SAFETY FEATURES. ACURA HAS NOT FIXED ANY OF THESE MALFUNCTIONS, ALTHOUGH I HAVE VISITED THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES. TO TOP THAT THE CAR STALLED TWICE WHICH IS EVEN MORE SERIOUS. ALTHOUGH, MY APPOINTMENT IS FOR 6/24/19 (I COULD NOT GET AN EARLIER ONE SINCE THEY DON'T SEEM TO TAKE IT SERIOUSLY), THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP CALLED ME A FEW DAYS AFTER SCHEDULING IT AND SAID SHE DID NOT EXPECT IT TO HELP. I WILL STILL KEEP THE APPOINTMENT, EVEN THOUGH THE REP INDICATED THIS STALLING WILL BE DISMISSED AS NOTHING.

I LIVE IN COLORADO AND USE PADDLE DOWN SHIFT TO GEAR DOWN FOR SLOWING ON DECLINES. WHEN I DO THAT, THE CAR ACELERARES FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE SLOWING DOWN. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE SLOWING TO AVOID RUNNING INTO THE CAR IN FRONT AND INSTEAD YOU INCREASING SPEED TOWARD THE BACK OF THE CAR IN FRONT. ACURA CUSTOMER SERVICE SAY THAT IS THE WAY THE CAR IS DESIGNED, BUT DOES NOT DEFEND THE LOGIC OF THAT DESIGN. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS HAS NOT CAUSED SERIOUS SITUATIONS AND ACCIDENTS.
