THE DEALER REPLACED THE FIRST WINDOW AND PAID FOR HALF OF THE REPAIR COST. THE SECOND WINDOW WAS REPLACED FOR FREE. THE CONTACT HAS TO PAY FOR THE THIRD WINDOW TO BE REPAIRED. ALL THREE WINDOWS FAILED WITHIN A YEAR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,600.

ON OCTOBER 23,2007, THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND A TROUBLE CODE OF C1218 APPEARED. THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED AND THE HYDRAULIC BRAKING SYSTEM WAS PURGED AND FLUSHED AND THE CODE WAS CLEARED. THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN IN DECEMBER 2007 INTERMITTENTLY, AT THAT TIME A CODE CAME UP AS B0041. THE ABS COMPUTER MODULE WAS REPLACED AND THE HYDRAULIC BRAKING SYSTEM WAS PURGED AND FLUSHED AGAIN. OUR DAUGHTER WAS NEARLY KILLED BY A DRIVER WITH THEIR LIGHTS OFF. MANY DRIVERS OF LATE MODEL CARS ARE NOT AWARE THAT THEIR LIGHTS ARE OFF BECAUSE THEIR DASH IS LIT AND THEIR DRIVING LIGHTS ARE ON. THERE ARE NO ALERTS TELLING PEOPLE THEIR LIGHTS ARE OFF!!!!! OUR SEAT BELTS MAKE NOISE, IF A CAR DOOR IS OPEN IT ALERTS US. I HAVE OBSERVED THAT APPROXIMATELY 10-20% OF CARS ON A STREET OR FREEWAY ARE DRIVING WITH THEIR LIGHTS OFF. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE SOLVED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE COMPLAINED WITH NO RESULT. IF THERE IS NO ACTION I WILL BE FILING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN THE NAME OF MY DAUGHTER AGAINST THE NTSB TO DEMAND ACTION. PLEASE RESPOND.

I HAVE A 2000 BUICK CENTURY LIMITED AND THE TRANSMISSION HARSH SHIFT 1234, WHEN HOT AND SOMETIMES COLD, I KNOW THAT IT NEEDS A NEW 1234 UP SHIFT SOLENOID AND TO BE INSPECTED FOR FAILED PARTS ETC, ALSO THE ODOMETER,FUEL GAUGE,AND WINDOW REGULATORS/MOTORS HAVE FAILED, THE ODOMETER IS OUT AND FUEL GAUGE FLOATS AND WINDOWS HAVE FAILED DUE TO BAD DESIGN OF MOTORS/REGULATORS AND MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND EACH 4T65- E TRANS AND MANY BUICK TRANS LIKE THE ONE ABOVE HAS HARSH SHIFT AND COULD CAUSE DAMAGE AND CAUSE TRANS TO FAIL. AND THE PROBLEMS ABOVE WILL BE FOUND IN MANY BUICK CENTURY AND GM SHOULD FIX THE ISSUES ABOVE FOR FREE IT IS A DANGER FOR THE TRANS TO FAIL AND ODOMETER/GEAR SHIFT SELECT TO FAIL BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE WILL NOT KNOW WHAT GEAR THEY ARE IN, AND THE TRANS COULD LOCK AND CAUSE A WRECK OR A HUGE INJURY OR WORST. AND THE TRANS 1234 UP SHIFT PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID NOT KEEPING THE RIGHT PRESSURE COULD DAMAGE THE TRANS, AND EVEN IF THE TRANS IS BOUGHT USED IT STILL HAS THIS PROBLEM AND IS THE SAME 4T65-E TRANS AND GM NEEDS TO FIX THIS FOR FREE THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS AND ISSUE WITH THE 2000 BUICK CENTURY,REGALS ETC WITH THIS TYPE OF TRANS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 BUICK CENTURY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF THE VEHICLE STALLED DUE TO A LACK OF FUEL. THE CONTACT WAS ONLY ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE BY JUMP STARTING IT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY TWELVE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED; YET, THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.

BOUGHT 2000 BUICK CENTURY AND LIKE MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THE LIST I HAVE REPAIRED THE MANIFOLD, WATER PUMP, FUEL FILTER AT 83,000. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE WHINNING AND HARD SHIFTING THE ENTIRE TIME I OWNED THE CAR. I HAD INTERMITTENT DASH LIGHT FAILURE WHICH IS REAL DANGEROUS SINCE YOU CAN'T SEE THE SPEEDOMETER OR ANYTHING ON THE DASH. MY BRAKES HAVE FAILED TO BRAKE AND I WENT OUT INTO TRAFFIC - LUCKILY NO ACCIDENT AND THERE WAS A MEDIAN I COULD STEER INTO! I HAVEN'T HAD A WORKING GAS GAUGE FOR YEARS. LAST NIGHT GOING 70 MPH I FELT 3 CHUGS AND LOST POWER. AGAIN LUCKILY I WAS AT A FREEWAY EXIT AND COULD COAST OFF THE FREEWAY. SO MY 3 MOST EXPENSIVE BILLS (AND NONE OF THE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN SOLVED -$1800. FOR BRAKE CALIPERS, ROTORS AND PADS. $1100 FOR WIRE SET, MANIFOLD SET, FUEL FILTER AND WATER PUMP. $350 FOR HEADLAMP SWITCH AND DASH LIGHT PROBLEMS. I AM PUTTING NO MORE MONEY INTO THIS CAR AND UP UNTIL LAST NIGHT I WAS LOOKING FOR A BUICK BUT NEVER AGAIN. I DIDN'T PUT THE MILEAGE DOWN WHEN THESE INCIDENTS HAPPENED BECAUSE THE SYMPTOMS ARE ONGOING!!! TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 BUICK CENTURY. SHE STATED THAT UPON TAKING HER VEHICLE IN FOR STATE INSPECTION, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE FUEL AND BRAKE LINES WERE CORRODED. THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO CORRODED COMPONENTS. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 82,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 BUICK CENTURY. NONE OF THE REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLES FUNCTION. THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLE ASSEMBLY WOULD NOT RELEASE. THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT BUCKLE ASSEMBLY HAS FAILED. NORMALLY, THE CONTACT GETS SOME SILICONE AND FIDDLES WITH THE VEHICLE FOR THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE SHE CAN GET THE SEAT BELT TO LOOSEN UP AND COME OUT. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INFORMED IF NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBERS 01V109000 AND 00V228003 (SEAT BELTS) APPLY TO HER VIN. IN ADDITION, ALL FOUR WINDOW MOTORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, AND THE FRONT WINDOW MOTORS WERE REPLACED TWICE. CURRENTLY, THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW IS ROLLED DOWN AND WILL NOT ROLL BACK UP. TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 BUICK CENTURY CUSTOM AND COMPLAINED ABOUT THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS: THE LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET, THE THERMOSTAT, AND WATER PUMP. THESE COMPONENTS HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS OVERHEATING. THE REAR BRAKE SHOES AND A LEAKING CYLINDER ALSO HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE REAR DRUMS, AND THE SWITCH ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FOR THE POWER WINDOWS WHERE REPLACED DUE TO POSSIBLE FIRE CONCERNS. IN ADDITION, THE RIGHT OUTER TIE ROD END ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE WHEEL WAS LOOSE AND HAD TO BE REPAIRED. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS INHERITED IN 2003 ALL THE AFOREMENTIONED FAILURES HAD TO BE REPLACED OR REPAIRED STARTING IN 2005. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER, AND THEY STATED THEY WOULD NOT REIMBURSE THE CONTACT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO RELATIONSHIP ESTABLISHED WITH THE DEALER SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED.
