I HAVE A 2002 BUICK CENTURY AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET HAS TO BE REPLACED SINCE GM DID NOT ISSUE A RECALL OF WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE. I AM AFRAID I WILL BREAK DOWN IN THE CAR WITH NO HELP. I AM A WIDOW WHO IS CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED AND CAN NOT AFFORD TO FIX THE CAR. I HAVE PAID THE CAR IN FULL AND JUST WANT THEM TO FIX WHAT THEY SCREWED UP. I WAS NOT EVEN AWARE THERE WAS A PROBLEM UNTIL MY LOW COOLANT LIGHT STARTED COMING ON AND I NOTICED THERE IS A LEAK. *TR

2002 BUICK CENTURY INTAKE MANIFOLD/GASKET FAILS AT 31K MILES. COOLANT IN THE ENGINE AND MIXED WITH THE OIL. ALL OF THE PRIOR SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE WERE PERFORMED AT GM DEALERSHIPS (WHERE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED PRIOR TO FAILURE). OIL, LUBE, ROTATIONS DONE WITHOUT WAITING FOR INDICATOR LIGHTS (2-4 TIMES PER YEAR), ALL RECOMMENDED PROCEDURES COMPLETED (INCLUDING NEW BRAKES, THROTTLE BODY AND FUEL INJECTOR SVCS). THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE REGARDING DEXCOOL EATING AWAY THE GASKETS BUT GM FILED BANKRUPTCY TO AVOID FULL SETTLEMENT AND NOW DEALERSHIPS CLAIM IGNORANCE TO THE ISSUE. NOW I HAVE TO PAY $1500 TO HAVE THE ENGINE & RADIATOR DISASSEMBLED FOR CLEANING. I WAS INFORMED THAT LABOR IS THE BULK OF THE COST. WHY WON'T GM CHARGE THE CUSTOMER FOR THE PART AND NOT THE LABOR. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE ADVISOR THAT THE PARTS INVOLVED ONLY COST $200-250, BUT I HAVE TO PAY $1500 FOR A KNOWN ISSUE/FAILURE THE MANUFACTURE WAS/IS WELL AWARE OF AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT CAUSES ABRUPT ENGINE FAILURE! I AM SO UPSET THAT MY VEHICLE WAS SO WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND WOULD FAIL WITH SO FEW MILES ON IT. MY CHEVY CORSICA ALSO FAILED DUE TO DEXCOOL (WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT AT 60K MILES) AND I DID NOT RECEIVE A PENNY FROM THE DEXCOOL SETTLEMENT (EVEN THOUGH I FILED AND WAS ELIGIBLE). GM SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THESE FAILURES THAT ARE STILL AN ISSUE. AN ENGINE FAILURE IN TRAFFIC IS A SERIOUS DEFECT. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK CENTURY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING ANTI-FREEZE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE GASKET IN THE REAR OF THE ENGINE WAS LEAKING AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO MONITOR IT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE HEAD GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.

TRAVELING AT NIGHT, ONCE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WITH LIGHTS ON LOW BEAM AND OTHER TIMES IN LIGHT OR NO TRAFFIC WITH LIGHTS ON HIGH BEAM, ALL OUTSIDE LIGHTS GO OUT CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. DOES NOT MATTER IF THE MANUAL SWITCH IS USED OR IF THE LIGHTS ARE ON AUTOMATIC. THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES THEM COME BACK ON IS SWITCHING THE HIGH/ LOW BEAM SWITCH. MILES TRAVELED OR LENGTH OF TIME TRAVELING MAKES NO DIFFERENCE ...RANDOM OCCURRENCE. REPLACED THE HEADLIGHT SWITCHES AT A AUTO REPAIR SHOP MADE NO DIFFERENCE.

WHILE DRIVING, WHEN HIGH-BEAMS WERE TURNED ON THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT SYSTEM WOULD SHUT DOWN LEAVING DRIVER WITH ABSOLUTELY NO VISIBILITY. FORTUNATELY THE HEADLIGHTS DID COME BACK ON AS THE DIMMER SWITCH WAS ACTIVATED AND THE LOW-BEAMS DID COME BACK ON. I CAN ONLY USE MY LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS AS THIS ISSUE HAPPENS MOST TIMES THE SWITCH IS ACTIVATED.

HEADLIGHTS GO OUT COMPLETELY FOR A FEW SECONDS UNTIL THE BRIGHT/DIM IS SWITCHED AND THEN COME ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED INFREQUENTLY SINCE FALL OF 2014. DOESN'T HAPPEN WHEN AT DEALER SERVICE OR WHEN WE TEST LIGHTS AFTER RETURNING HOME. DEALER SAYS CAN'T BE REPAIRED UNTIL THEY CAN GET THE INCIDENT TO REPEAT. LIGHTS ARE FINE FOR A WHILE & WITHOUT WARNING THE SITUATION OCCURS AGAIN. VERY ALARMING! A FRIEND WITH A BUICK REGAL 2002 HAS THE SAME PROBLEM.

WHEN I BOUGHT MY 2002 BUICK CENTURY IN 2003, I ASKED THE DEALER TO TURN OFF THE DRL ON THE CAR. THEY INSISTED THEY COULD NOT BECAUSE OF MANUFACTURER & HIGHWAY SAFETY LAWS, BUT SAID I COULD CONTACT THE MFG. BUT THAT IT REQUIRED MUCH PAPERWORK & AN EXTENSIVELY SATISFACTORY REASON FOR THIS TO BE DONE, SO I QUIT ASKING. ONCE AGAIN I HAVE DECIDED TO TRY TO GET THE DRL ON MY CAR TURNED OFF, SINCE IT SEEMS TO CAUSE SO MUCH CONFUSION TO ON COMING TRAFFIC WHEN I AM SIGNALING TO CHANGE LANE OR TURN. I CONTACTED BUICK & GOT CUSTOMER SUPPORT REP, THAT HAD NO IDEA WHAT DRL EVEN IS, & DECLINED TO ESCALATE MY CASE UP. AT BEST SHE TOLD ME TO GO TO A DEALER. SO THE DEALER TELLS ME TO GO THE THE MFG. THIS IS AN ADDENDUM TO COMPLAINT/ODI #10499646...THIS WAS THE SCARIEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE, DRIVING ALONE IN DARKNESS, AT 55MPH, AND WITHOUT WARNING, HEADLIGHTS & DASH JUST SHUT-OFF !! NO OTHER VEHICLES ON ROAD TO HELP LIGHT MY WAY, COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING, ALMOST RAN OFF THE ROAD & GOT KILLED, ONLY HAD THIS CAR 10DAYS!! THOUGHT I GOT A GOOD DEAL TOO, BUT NOW I'M STUCK WITH A CAR I CAN'T DRIVE AT NIGHT. SPOKE DIRECTLY WITH GM CUSTOMER RELATIONS SPECIALIST ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WHO SENT ME TO THEIR GM DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION. AFTER GM REP SPOKE WITH THEIR DEALERSHIP, THEY DECIDED DUE TO THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE, AND MILEAGE, THEY'RE NOT RESPONSIBLE TO ASSIST!! I CANNOT UNDERSTAND, NOR WILL I ACCEPT, HOW THIS SITUATION COULD BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN A "SAFETY ISSUE"!! NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FILED ON THIS SAME VEHICLE, AND MANY HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, JUST FLOATING AROUND OUT THERE, WAITING FOR THE NEXT POOR, UNSUSPECTING BUYER. ON 12/24/2007 THE RIGHT REAR POWER WINDOW ON MY 2002 BUICK LESABRE BROKE. IT WAS REPAIRED AT A BUICK DEALERSHIP ON 12/28/2007. THIS IS THE THIRD POWER WINDOW TO BREAK. THE RIGHT FRONT WINDOW BROKE ON 6/28/2007 AND THE LEFT REAR WINDOW BROKE ON 12/4/2007. THESE WINDOWS ALL BROKE IN THE DOWN POSITION, SO A REPAIR IS NECESSARY. ALL WINDOW HAD VERY FEW OPERATIONS. I WOULD ESTIMATE NO MORE THAN 100 OPERATIONS FOR THE FRONT WINDOWS AND NO MORE THAN 50 OPERATIONS FOR THE REAR WINDOWS. THIS LATEST SERIES OF INCIDENTS OCCURRED WHILE BRAKING HARD. THE ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM FAILED WITH A GRINDING SOUND OCCURRING. THE "ANTI LOCK" BRAKE LIGHT GOES ON, THE "TRAC OFF" LIGHT GOES ON AND THE "SERVICE VEHICLE SOON" LIGHT GOES ON. SINCE THIS INCIDENT, BOTH WHILE BRAKING AND WHEN I'M NOT BRAKING I WILL HEAR THE GRINDING SOUND AND THEN THE LIGHTS MIGHT GO ON AND STAY ON TILL THE CAR IS SHUT OFF. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND HAPPENS ON MOST OF MY DRIVING TRIPS. ABOUT A YEAR AGO THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AND IT TOOK TILL MAY TO DETERMINE THAT IT WAS A FAULTY WIRE HARNESS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CAR. I ONLY FOUND THIS SOLUTION BY GOING ON THE INTERNET. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO SETS OF INSTANCES IS THAT TURNING LEFT AND SLOWING DOWN TRIGGERED THE ISSUE FROM A YEAR AGO WHILE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO TRIGGER FOR THE CURRENT SERIES OF ANTI LOCK FAILURES. IT SEEMS THAT MANY INDIVIDUALS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND WHEN IT KICKS IN WHILE BRAKING IT TAKES LONGER TO STOP THE CAR. I WOULD THINK THAT THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND SHOULD REQUIRE A FULL INVESTIGATION BEFORE SOMEBODY GETS HURT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND BACK ON THE LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE INSTANTLY BUT CAME BACK ON AFTER DRIVING A FEW MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER .THE TECHNICIANS DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE TO BE THE SPEED SENSOR AND THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL HUB THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. UPDATED 02/18/11 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER SIX MONTHS, IT WAS FINALLY DISCOVERED THE ABS WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED REPLACING THE WHEEL HUB DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER STATED THE REAL PROBLEM WAS A WIRE HARNESS THAT RAN PAST A SHARP EDGE UNDER THE AIR FILTER. THE SHARP EDGE CUT INTO THE BROWN OR BLUE WIRE THAT CAME FROM THE LEFT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WHICH CAUSED THE TRAC OFF LIGHT TO COME ON AND THE ABS WOULD BECOME DISABLES. UPDATED EVOQ 02/18/11

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK CENTURY. WHEN THE CONTACT APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ENGAGED. THE TRACTION AND ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE BRAKE SYSTEM; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTS. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 130,000.

1. SUNVISORS ARE NOT WIDE (LONG) ENOUGH TO BLOCK DIRECT SUN GLARE ENTERING AT TOP-OUTER CORNERS OF WINDSHIELD. GAPS AT OUTER ENDS BETWEEN VISORS AND CORNER POSTS ARE APPROX. 2 1/2 INCHS. DEALER'S SERVICE MANAGER AND BUICK'S CUSTOMER SERVICE HAVE TOLD ME THAT THIS IS THE ONLY VISOR DESIGN MADE BY GM THAT WILL FIT. THE MOUNTING LOCATION FOR THE PIVOT CANNOT BE MOVED. AT THE OTHER (INSIDE) END OF EACH VISOR THERE IS A PULL OUT EXTENSION, THAT IS NO HELP TO COVER THE OPEN AREA. ON DRIVER'S SIDE THE EXTENSION PREVENTS TILTING THE VISOR FORWARD AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH WOULD POSSIBLY HELP IF IT WERE NOT STOPPED BY CONTACT WITH THE REARVIEW MIRROR. DANGER FROM MORNING AND EVENING SUN GLARE IS NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY. I AM NOT THE ONLY DRIVER THAT CAN BE MOMENTARILY BLINDED BY IT. CENTURY APPEARS TO BE THE ONLY MODEL WITH A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM IN THIS REGARD. THE CONFIGURATION OF VISOR AND/OR LOCATION OF PIVOT IN 2002 RENDEVOUS AND PARK AVENUE SERVE TO BLOCK THE GLARE WHERE THE CENTURY DOES NOT. THE DEALER'S REP SAYS VISORS FROM ANOTHER MODEL CANNOT BE SUBSTITUTED IN THE CENTURY BECAUSE THE MOUNTING LOCATION IS DIFFERNT IN EACH MODEL. ON A RECENT TRIP OF 450 MILES (A TRIP TAKEN AND MEASURED MANY TIMES IN THE PAST), MY ENDING TRIP MILEAGE REGISTERED AS 467 MILES (AN OVERAGE OF 17 MILES). ON THE RETURN TRIP, I USED NUMEROUS INTERSTATE MILEAGE MARKERS TO COMPARE DISTANCES. FOR EACH 100 MILES TRAVELED, THE ODOMETER REGISTERS IT AS 104 MILES. TO ME, THIS IS AN ISSUE OF THE SPEEDOMETER NOT BEING CORRECT, PLUS MORE MILES ARE REGISTERING THAN ARE ACTUALLY BEING PLACED ON THE VEHICLE. KEPT GETTING WORSE AND ON 8/31/04, THEY CONTACTED ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY HAD A VEHICLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY SUPPOSED FIXED IT, BUT NOW IT'S DOING IT AGAIN. DOESN'T MATTER IF THE ROADS ARE WET OR DRY. NOW, ANOTHER PROBLEM. ON 5/28/05, I MADE A TRIP AND STOPPED FOR FUEL AND WENT TO A FAST FOOD PLACE NEXT TO THE GAS STATION AND WHILE WAITING FOR MY ORDER, AN ALERT BELL STARTED DINGING AND MY FUEL GAUGE WENT DOWN TO THE EMPTY MARK. I COULD NOT FIND ANYPLACE OPEN TO GET HELP (MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY). AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 4 MILES DOWN THE HIGHWAY, THE GAGE CAME BACK TO THE FULL MARK. IT DID NOT BUCK OR ACT UP BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. ON 12/12/03 AFTER PULLING INTO THE LOCAL SNAPPY CARWASH, OUR 2002 BUICK CENTURY WOULD NOT CRANK THE ENGINE. THE IGNITION WOULD WIND UP BUT NOT ENGAGE THE ENGINE. WE CALLED OUR DEALERSHIP, BUT BECAUSE IT WAS 44,000 MILES ON THE CAR, AND THE 36,000 MILE WARRANTY IS NOW UP, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WERE PREPARED TO DO TO HELP US. WE CALLED OTHER DEALERSHIPS AND THEY RESPONDED THE SAME. WE HAD TO LEAVE IT AND RENT A CAR BECAUSE OF TRAVEL THAT COULD NOT BE POSTPONED. UPON OUR RETURN MONDAY NIGHT, MY HUSBAND DECIDED TO CHECK IF THE CAR WOULD START. IT IMMEDIATELY STARTED AND RAN FINE FOR ONE ENTIRE DAY. ON WEDNESDAY, 12/17/03, IT QUIT AGAIN WHILE ON IDLE IN FRONT OF OUR LOCAL WAL-MART. NOTHING WOULD MAKE IT START. WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS IN THE STORE TO BUY STARTING FLUID TO CHECK IF THAT WOULD START IT, I KEPT BUMPING THE STARTER AND FINALLY IT CRANKED. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM OF FUEL-PUMPS IN THESE VEHICLES. WE ARE NOW BEING CHARGED OVER $500.00 FOR THE FUEL PUMP REPLACEMENT AND LABOR TO DO THE SERVICE. MY 2002 BUICK CENTURY DEVELOPED A PROBLEM WITH THE FOLLOWING LIGHTS COMING ON - SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT, ANTI LOCK. I HAD THE CAR AT MY LOCAL BUICK DEALER AND REPAIRS WAS MADE TO THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL. THIS WORK WAS DONE UNDER WARRUNTY. I HAD TO MAKE SEVERAL TRIPS BACK TO THE DEALER TO GET THE LIGHTS STOPPED FROM COMING ON, NOW THE LIGHTS ARE COMING ON AGAIN AND IT IS VERY ANNOYING. UNKNOWN; The issues started around 6 months ago. Just casually driving like usual, and my steering wheel would lock up and be ridiculously hard to turn, which is scary because its happened while turning through lights and intersections and trying to even just park my car. And on some of those occations the trac and abs sensors would come on, but not all the time.

Right front Cooper GS5 Grand Touring 205/70 R15 96T with only 862 miles on it had a complete air loss/went completely flat when car was turning into a parking lot. This is one of a set of brand new tires on the car. The car was never driven on a highway after these were purchased. Only local driving at 45 to 50 MPH max. Tire was taken to a tire shop in hopes of getting it plugged/repaired. They found nothing had penetrated the tire. They could not pressurize the tire. Air was blowing out all around the outside bead and could not be seated. They put lubricant around the bead inside and out and gave it some rapid shots of air on the machine. It started to hold pressure but immediately had a roughly 4 inch section of the sidewall start to balloon out. Technician said he was afraid it was going to blow up in his face. He chalk marked the defective area on the tire and said the bead and sidewall had failed in that ballooning area and the tire was defective and not repairable.

I was driving at night switched headlights to high beams - few minutes later switched back to low beams and ALL LIGHTS dash and head lights went completely out . Tried to pull head light knob and nothing - pitch black . Luckily i was a short distance from my home. This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ! I have found 33 complaints (so far) about this same problem. This definitely should qualify and be recalled . PLEASE take IMMEDIATE action . Thank you.

I HAVE A 2002 BUICK CENTURY LIMITED AND WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE THE LOW TRAC LIGHT CAME ON, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR STARTED SHUTTERING AND MAKING A LOUD NOISE WHEN BRAKING. IT ALSO PULLS WHEN THE BRAKES ARE PRESSED WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE ON AND THE BRAKES ARE HARD TO PRESS. WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF THE LIGHTS GO OFF AND THERE ARE NONE OF THE SYMPTOMS UNTIL THE LIGHTS COME ON AGAIN. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A FAULTY WHEEL SPEED SENSOR AND WAS GOING TO GET IT REPAIRED WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR OVERHEATED. I GET THE CAR SERVICED REGULARLY AND IT HAS NEVER OVERHEATED BEFORE. AFTER HAVING THE THERMOSTAT AND THE WATER PUMP CHANGED I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM IS EITHER THE INTAKE GASKET OR THE HEAD GASKET. I WAS TOLD THE DEXCOOL ANTIFREEZE BREAKS THE GASKETS DOWN AND THE CAR COULD LEAK ANTIFREEZE WITHOUT BEING NOTICED. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY HOME WHERE IT'LL HAVE TO SIT UNTIL I CAN AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED. I OWN THE CAR AND I AM ON A FIXED INCOME AND CANNOT AFFORD THE PRICES THAT MECHANICS WANT TO CHARGE TO FIX THE GASKETS. INTERMITTENT HEADLIGHT FAILURE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE TURNED OFF FOR NO REASON OR WARNING. THIS INCLUDES THE DASH LIGHTS. THIS HAS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 6 TIMES IN THE PAST TWO YEARS RESULTING IN AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. FOUR OF THE INSTANCES WERE ON ROADS WITH NO STREETLIGHTS - AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, AND WINDING COUNTRY ROADS. WHEN I HAD AN OIL CHANGE AT ABOUT 32,000 MILES THE MECHANIC INDICATED THE OIL WAS A QUART LOW. I HAD THE COOLING SYSTEM FLUSHED AT ABOUT 50,000 MILES AND THE MECHANIC NOTED OIL IN THE ANTIFREEZE. AT 55,000 MILES THE CAR NOW NEEDS A NEW INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET AT A COST OF $800 TO $900. GM FACES A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN CANADA FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM AND MANY U.S. BLOGS INDICATE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. SERVICE STATIONS ARE REPORTING THAT THIS FAILURE IS COMMON AND DUE TO A DESIGN DEFECT. THE WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 36,000 MILES. BECAUSE OF THIS, BUICK SAYS IT HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER ON A FLATBED TRUCK ON 8/21/06. ON 8/23/06 THE DEALER REPLACED 2 BULBS AND THE THIRD BRAKE, THE VEHICLE DROVE NORMALLY. SHORTLY AFTER, WHEN MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN THE CONTACT COULD NOT APPLY THE BRAKE AT ALL WHILE TURNING. THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT TURNED ON, BUT IT TURNED OFF WHEN COMPLETING THE TURN. THE CONTACT ALSO SENSED A BURNING SMELL. THE DEALER SAID THE VEHICLE NEEDED THE PUMP VALVE BLOCK REPLACED AND THE ABS PUMP MOUNT FLUID. 36,200 MILES STEERING NOISE. BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS HAD TO BE REPLACED. ALSO HAS A PROBLEM WITH A REAR PUMP THAT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. 36,400 MILES A/C QUIT AND WAS REPAIRED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY PURCHASED THROUGH OUTSIDE COMPANY. ALSO FOUND BOTH CV BOOTS LEAKING WHICH AREN'T COVERED.

AT A STOP ON A HILL WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKES THERE WAS A MINOR VEHICLE ROLL BACK ONCE THE FOOT WAS OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK THE VEHICLE WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH EXCESSIVE ROLLBACK WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TESTED IT ROLLED BACK A DISTANCE OF 15 FEET AT A SPEED OF 15MPH. THE VEHICLE STALLED DISABLING BRAKES AND POWER STEERING. THE HEADLIGHTS ON LOW BEAM DO NOT MERGE. THEY ACT AS TWO SEPARATE SPOTLIGHTS AND DISTANCE APPEARS TO BE LIMITED. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT EVENTUALLY GENERAL MOTORS REPURCHASED THE VEHICLE. *TC

I HAVE A 2002 BUICK CENTURY. LAST YEAR I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE WINDSHIELD GETTING STUCK IN A VERTICAL POSITION. IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND WAS FIXED BY THE DEALER, WHO HANDED ME A RECEIPT INDICATING REPLACEMENT OF COST APPROX. $400.00. WELL IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND THIS TIME NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I TOOK IT TO A RESPONSIBLE AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND WAS TOLD THAT WHOEVER FIXED IT LAST YEAR DID IT THE CHEAPEST WAY POSSIBLE, THAT'S WHY IS BROKE AGAIN. HOW WAS I HANDED A BILL FROM BUICK DEALER SAYING IT COST $400.00 TO REPLACE PARTS? NOW I HAVE TO PAY $150.00 THIS TIME. WHAT WAS BUICK DEALER TRYING TO DO GOUGE ME, IMPRESS ME. THE REAR DEFROST HAD 5 LINES THAT QUIT, ALSO CAUSED RADIO ANTENNA THAT IS ON THE REAR WINDOW TO QUIT WHEN TURNING ON REAR DEFROST. WINDOW WAS REPLACED AND SAME THING HAS HAPPENED WITH SECOND WINDOW. DEALERSHIP ACCUSED ME OF DAMAGING WINDOW AND WILL NOT REPLACE SECOND WINDOW UNDER WARRANTY. ALSO HAVE CHIRPING NOISE NEAR SPEEDOMETER THAT DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX AFTER 4 REPAIR ATTEMPTS. DEALERSHIP HAS DESTROYED ENTIRE DASHBOARD TRYING TO REPAIR NOISE.
