Sunroof glass shattered on I-5 south approx 1215pm just before the Nisqually exit. We looked for cause of the incident but could not find debris/rocks that could've been the cause. Also, there wasn't much glass inside the car, the remnants puckered upwards. The glass shatter seemed to come out of the blue; weather was grey but no rain or sprinkles at the time. We pulled over at the next exit which was Nisqually to look at the damage and to tape up the car.

SUNROOF will not close, and yes, it is available for inspection upon request. Hard to drive because of the pouring down rain, and unable to close sunroof. I have called the dealership and was asked to bring it in for inspection, but the next morning it closed without problem. 2 days later it did the exact same thing. I waited 1 before opening again and when I tried to close the sunroof, it would NOT close again, until the next day. Now, I do not open it all. I have NOT had it inspected by anyone since it looked at the first time. No, warning lamps or messages prior or after since this has started.

The horn doesn't work or when you lock the vehicle using the key fob the horn doesn't blow then either notifying you that the vehicle is secured and locked. My vehicle is less than a year old with this defect and this poses as a safety hazard when driving to alert other drivers or prevent an accident.

Our 2024 Buick Envista’s air conditioner does not work. The car has less than 2500 miles on it. It is in the shop for the second time. If you google search ‘Buick Envista Air Conditioner’ you’ll find multiple forums where a number of 2024 Envista owners are having the exact same issue and like me experiencing no resolve with the dealerships. I’m requesting the NHTSA consider a recall on this vehicle please! Driving children in extreme heat is NOT SAFE. 2024 Buick Envista: My driver side mirror vibrates when driving above 50-55 mph. The housing itself does not vibrate or shake. My passenger side mirror does not vibrate. I can see the traffic behind me but the lights apear fuzzy when when it’s dark outside. I had it at the dealership today (1/8/2024) and was told they drove another Envista and it exhibited the same issue. However, the said they could not fix as there is no fix for it. I have reached out to Buick via X (Twitter) and they kept referring me back to the dealership as there is no recall at this time. I feel that this is a safety issue for me driving, especially if it gets worse. I would like for Buick to acknowledge the problem and fix my mirror.

Was driving car and attempted to roll my window door and the car would not allow it. Then I started hearing clicking noises which was the sound of locking and unlocking door. Which I heard in succession of at 9 times. Later on the return drive on the highway the car let me consistently lock and unlock when in drive. I got home, turn the car off and radio did not turn of even after opening driver’s door

The contact owns a 2024 Buick Envista. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the instrument panel displayed a blank screen; however, two seconds later, the instrument panel operated as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The failure occurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the body control module needed to be replaced. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V744000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,109.

The entire digital display will go black for several seconds to a few minutes while driving. This seems to occur 3-4 times in a row and then will not happen again for days to weeksto months apart. It has happened on 5 separate occasions spanning 6 months. The dealership claims they “cannot reproduce the issue” and that they do not know what is wrong. This has been reported numerous times online for this make/model/year. This is a MAJOR safety hazard.

Three times in the last week while driving, my electronic dashboard went completely black and the music playing stopped. Within 10 seconds it came back up but my phone was disconnected and the system had to be reprogrammed. It was frightening as I was not sure what was happening and had no way of seeing whether my car was in drive and drivable. There was a safety recall last year for this issue. My VIN was not included.

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted by the dealer, who informed the dealer to return the vehicle until a solution was determined. On December 3rd I contacted roberts-Robertson Chevrolet in Excelsior springs where I purchased my brand new 2024 buick envista. I told them my engine light is on, we scheduled service for 4 days later, the engine light shut off, i contacted them on the 13th telling them it is back on and now i am concerned if it is safe, while speaking to the representative will not share her name, until I am contacted, the service representative, I asked her yestersay at 1 pm cst over the phone if I was safe to be driving my kids to places with the engine light back on or should we be worried. She exact words stated your safe to keep driving, she said if anything. It might not start right away after driving and turning it off. But thats the most it will do. Not even two hours later, im driving my car and its 14 degrees, the car shakes, and I get an emergency shut off immediately nowessage on the screen. As soon as I got pulled over, the place it happened, all my oil just rapidly leaked out. I was told by my someone who works there to light a fire to my car so if the dealership doesnt stand behind it. At least id have an insurance claim. I clearly did not listen to that illegal advice. I am beyond upset. My kids are scared to death when it comes to getting back in the car. I had to pay 200 dollars to get it towed. And now im car less. It is our only car. I am stuck in a situation right before the holidays and I feel [XXX]. I feel complete dealership neglect when it comes to her reassuring my car was okay to drive when she didnt know what the safety risk was. My name is [XXX], I havent had the car for even two years. And its at 6 1 or 62 thousand miles. Im praying for good will or that they are able to fix this and allow me a rental car. I have been stressed to the max. In April of 2025 the brakes failed at a slow speed of less than five miles per hour, after bumping into a curb in a parking lot. I put the car in reverse and pressed on the brake pedal and again the car did not stop quickly. The brake pedal felt mooshy and went to the floor and it felt like the car coasted to a stop rather than stopping quicker like normal. I put the car in drive and the same thing happened again. I turned off the car, let it sit still for five minutes and then restarted it again. This time I tested the brakes again and the car stopped like normal and the brake pedal felt normal again too. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk because the brake system was not working good enough to stop the car in a normal fashion and could have been in an accident. I took the car to the dealer so they could check it out. They reported that they couldn’t find anything wrong with the brake system or the computer and that they could not duplicate the problem. There were no warning lamps or warning messages or symptoms that appeared before, during or after this incident happened. The car is still available for inspection upon anyone’s request.

While sitting at a stoplight, my vehicle began chiming along with the following symbols illuminated on the dash: Brake System Warning Light, Antilock Brake System (ABS), Malfunction Indicator Lamp, Electronic Stability Control (ESC). I also received the following warning messages: "Brake System Failure Max Speed 62 mph," "Service Stabilitrak," & "Steering Assist Reduced." When the stoplight turned green, I accelerated at a low speed to get through the intersection so I could safely pull over. When I hit the brakes, I had to jam the brake pedal as far as it would go repeatedly to get the vehicle to stop rolling and eventually stop. It felt as though my brakes went out, and every time I pressed the brake pedal it made a weird popping/air sound inside of the vehicle. I cautiously drove my vehicle at 5-10mph, 4 miles to my sister's home, and every stop sign/stopped car or stoplight I encountered I had to start braking 1/2 a block before because my vehicle didn't feel like it was going to stop. I called the service department at the dealership where I purchased the car 1.5 weeks before, and they provided me with GM's roadside assistance contact to have my car towed. My car was towed to the dealer, 45 miles away that night, and Thursday, 8/29, morning, the service department called me and said that they couldn't find anything wrong with my car - all of the warning lights and messages were no longer on, and the brakes were working as normal. Today is 9/3, and my vehicle is still at the service department as they try to get it to mimic what happened to me on 8/28.

The brake lights for this vehicle are located low in the bumper, not in the main taillights, posing a safety hazard. Because the brake lights are not located where other drivers naturally expect to see brake lights, the risk of a reared collision are unnecessarily increased.

I picked up my new lease on 9/23/24. I don't understand why the rear taillights at the hatch level don't also work as turn indicators/brake lights. I learned that there is a set of lights on the lower half of the rear end, closer to the fascia. Once I was following another Buick Envista and I was amazed at how low those lights are. On another occasion when I was using the adaptive cruise control, I almost caused an accident because the driver behind me apparently did not see any brake lights in their "usual" position.

The instrument panel intermittently blacks out while driving. I have taken it back to the dealer twice and they are unable to reproduce the issue. The first time, they said it was a software issue and ran an update, but that did not fix the problem. I found online that this is a known issue so I contacted Buick Customer Care. They checked my VIN and said there are no recalls on my car at this time. How can I get my car on the recall list? This is very disturbing and I do not intend to drive the car until this can be rectified. Please help!

I bought my car in January with 7 miles on it. Back in February I tried to get back into my car and my car would not unlock from the remote or from my Buick app. The car was not responding. I had to wait 20 mins and remove the battery 3 times from the remote for it to work. Then I cannot connect my phone or my car does not respond to me pressing any buttons on my steering wheel.

The windshield wiper blades- especially the drivers side wiper blade- on my 2024 Buick Envista are made of subpar material, and they leave streaks on the windshield in the field of view of the driver, making for hazardous driving conditions in snowy and rainy conditions. I attempted to get wiper blade replacements from my dealer during the 2nd week of January, but the OEM wiper blade replacements are on a very long backorder. In most cases, third-party manufacturers that claim to sell a replacement wiper blade arm compatible with the vehicle feature connectors that are just a small fraction of a different size, so they are prone to coming loose from the wiper arm when driven at high speeds, or the wipers are in use. Dealers have confirmed that there is no third-party manufacturer whose replacement blade perfectly fits the connector on the OEM wiper arm. My dealer has heard of this same wiper blade being an issue on new Envista and Chevy Trax models. There are no warning lights that might appear, but I purchased the vehicle brand new with 37 miles on it, and the wipers have always streaked from day one, even after switching brands of wiper fluid and cleaning the blades.

The contact stated that the air conditioner was not blowing cool air. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a Freon leak into the engine compartment. Due to the failure, the contact was informed that the front evaporator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the part was ordered; however, there was a three-month period before delivery. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a loaner vehicle request was approved. The failure mileage was approximately 3,800.

While driving down the road to work on the expressway both my screens blacked out couldn’t see my speed and then came back on it did this multiples times on my 30 minute drive to work one way and multiple times on my 30 minute drive home. It’s done this for the last week. It’s very scary to know you can’t see your speed or don’t know if your car is suddenly going to shut off going down an expressway that people are going 75 mph and could hit me. It shows my vin is not part of the recall but is doing exactly what the recall is describing.

The instrument panel intermittently blacks out during vehicle startup or while driving. I haven't had my vehicle for 30 days and it's happened many many times, almost caused an accident due to the distraction it has caused. No warning signs prior to the screen blacking out. Service calibrated/reprogrammed the radio but issues have continued. I have several photos and videos of the numerous times this has happened.

I purchased my 2024 Buick Envista in 3/24 and not too long after the windshield had a spontaneous crack that started in the center of the glass, and resembled a backward letter 'L". Driving around, I noticed more Envistas on the road, seeing a total of 12, 7 of the 12 had cracked windshields, furthering my suspicion that this is a manufacturer defect. I took note that each vehicle had different license plates as well so it's not as if I was noticing the same vehicles over time. During my time of researching this info and being told parts were not available for my windshield at the time since it was a newer model, on my way to work, a truck in front of me, in another lane, had a load of uncovered sand that flew off due to the wind of course, and hit my windshield in a spray like mist. Well, there had to be bigger pieces of rock in it as it nicked the top of my car. Please note, my windshield had already cracked at this time. GM reached out to me and I explained the situation. I also uploaded photos of the crack to an email the GM representative gave me. Eventually, GM called me back stating I needed to take the vehicle to a GM dealer for evaluation.. The manager came out, took a fountain pen, and started digging into the crack, rocking the pen from side to side. This caused what was initially a thin solid line, to now a line with a pinhole in it. He then says, "I'm calling GM and telling them you did this". I said excuse me, I just watched you dig your pen in my windshield and rock it back and forth. He denied digging in my windshield and told GM It was my fault, leaving me to foot the bill. I say all this to say, it is no coincidence that several Envista owners had the same thing happen with a random crack without a cause. I took my vehicle to another GM dealer and the service tech admitted to seeing multiple Envista windshields cracking on their own. This needs to be investigated thoroughly before someone is injured or killed.

I am writing to report a serious and ongoing safety issue with my vehicle. While I was actively driving in traffic, my car suddenly shut off completely without warning. This occurred while the vehicle was in motion, creating an immediate and dangerous situation. During this incident, the steering wheel locked up multiple times while I was driving, making it extremely difficult to control the vehicle and safely maneuver through traffic. This put not only my safety at risk, but also the safety of other drivers on the road. In addition to this, there are multiple mechanical and safety-related issues with the vehicle: •The driver’s seat is stuck and cannot be adjusted. •The front doors will not lock. •The back doors will not unlock. These issues significantly increase the risk of injury or harm in the event of an emergency, accident, or even while the vehicle is parked. Given that the vehicle shut off in traffic and experienced steering lock while driving, I do not feel the car is safe to operate. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed urgently, as this vehicle presents a serious safety hazard to myself and others. Please advise on the next steps for inspection, coverage, or resolution as soon as possible. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter

Answer: The brake system failed, specifically involving the brake master cylinder and/or electronic brake booster assembly. The vehicle and affected components are currently available for inspection at a Buick dealership. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Answer: The vehicle experienced a complete loss of braking while in motion. The brake pedal did not provide normal stopping capability, and the vehicle did not slow or stop as expected when the brakes were applied. This created an unsafe driving condition due to the inability to stop the vehicle using normal braking input. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Answer: Yes. The vehicle was inspected by a Buick dealership following the incident, and the dealer confirmed a failure of the brake master cylinder and/or electronic brake booster assembly. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Answer: The vehicle has been inspected by a Buick dealership. General Motors Customer Assistance has been contacted regarding the issue. No police report was filed, as no collision occurred Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Answer: There were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to the incident. Warning messages and indicator lights appeared at the time of the failure, including brake system warnings, Stabilitrak, and steering assist reduced.

I filed and submitted my paragraph yesterday and have not heard a word. My son was in the back seat when it happened and he is extremely traumatized in getting back into a vehicle. My car was purchased in 2023 and it is a 2024 and is non drivable due to the engine explosion while driving in 14 degree weather on a two lane high way with my 6 and 7 year old in the back seat. My engine exploded and I no longer have my brand new car I was once so happy about. I hope this is reviewed and someone takes this seriously. I didnt have my brand new car for even 2 years and now I am just out of an option. My car is at the dealer ship and im praying I get good will out of this. I cpuld have been hit on the high way, traffic on coming while I had to merge off the highway as lastly as I could when I felt the explosion.

Needed to jack up the car to change the tire. There is a Jack included with the car. Upon using it in the correct spot in accordance with the owners manual, the Jack began to significantly bend while trying to raise the car to change the tire! It looked so unsafe that we abandoned the tire change. If I were on the side of the road, trying to use this, it could be deadly.

The contact stated that while attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle started with the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that while driving, the low-power warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that after the vehicle was turned off and had sat for approximately an hour, the warning lights were no longer illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an Auto Zone, where the vehicle was diagnosed with an Oxygen sensor failure, a failed camshaft, and a failed purge valve pump. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, where the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that there were no early appointments available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,500.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the safety and reliability of my leased vehicle. I have been experiencing ongoing issues that pose a serious safety risk. Approximately two months into my lease, I began experiencing electrical problems with the vehicle. The most concerning issue is the car's tendency to shut down unexpectedly while driving, which has escalated over time. Each incident has resulted in significant concern for my safety and that of my passengers, as well as for other drivers on the road. I visited the dealership to report the problem and get the car serviced but I was unfortunately met with unprofessional behavior, and was asked to leave the dealership without resolution. Despite my repeated attempts to address the ongoing issues, I have been unable to find a suitable solution. Additionally, the lack of available loaner vehicles has made it increasingly difficult to have the vehicle serviced. Driving a vehicle that is prone to unexpected shutdowns is not only inconvenient but poses a significant safety hazard. I am deeply concerned that continued use of this vehicle may lead to an accident, endangering myself, my family, and others on the road. The DASHBOARD keeps changing while driving, and the dealer states they have fixed it. I have had 2 dashboards replaced since I purchased the car (1 year) and this unsafe while driving my GPS keeps changing while driving. This is VERY UNSAFE! The SUNROOF WILL NOT CLOSE, until the next day. It rains inside my car because it will not close, so I can not use my sunroof PERIOD. This is one of the reasons I purchased the car. NOW, my CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on for EMISSIONS SYSTEM (IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU TAKE CARE OF THIS PROMPTLY TO MAINTAIN SAFETY). The dealer held my car for 3 days, and now they state "they requested the part, but no one told them (from the manufacture) that the part is not available due to problems with the current part and they have to rebuild the part, and it's on back order". Now, I'm riding around with a check engine light on until Nobody knows when! I don't trust this dealer, who told me its okay to drive like this AND we will call you when the part comes in. They stated they fixed my dashboard and its still not fixed. They don't know when, they will have the part for my sunroof or my emissions issue, and my dashboard is still not working and I have to borrow someone car to travel because my GPS and Engine light is on. A brand new car and it has been in the shop (6 times) more than any car I have owned. I pay my car not on time and I keep my car serviced, but this not fair to me and I need help please.

I was driving and while trying to put on brakes and stop I couldn't . I noticed that the Antilock Braking System light came on along with other lights. I almost hit a car because I could not stop. I was very frantic and scared. I could have hurt someone including myself. I am still shaken by this. I called roadside service and they towed it to Suntrup Buick in St. Peters Mo. After the car was delivered to them they called me 30 minutes later saying "no lights are on". I told them I have onstar and if they would like I can send them the alert they sent on my app. The alert is still there which says "Schedule service now". Braking system requires your attention now". I also have snapshots of the warning notice. I don't want a vehicle that has brake issues ..this could have cost me my life.

On four separate occasions now, while driving, the vehicle has completely shutdown. Two times this has happened in a parking lot and was relatively safe when it happened, but the other two times have been while driving on the freeway at freeway speeds. On all occasions, the entire dash will flicker a couple times, while the engine will sputter and then shut off. When this happens ALL systems including brakes, dashboard, engine, and steering are completely inoperable. Twice this has happened on the freeway while moving at freeway speeds. Thankfully, on neither occasion did any accidents or injuries occur, but it could very well have been fatal. On all occasions, the car will remain off and cannot be started again by pushing the ignition button for a period of about 20 to 30 seconds, during which time I cannot steer or stop the vehicle. After about 20 to 30 seconds, the car will turn back on and appear to function normally.

Engine began smoking on freeway while driving in rural gap between metro cities. Then a sound like driving over a 2 liter bottle occurred. After I pulled over, there was smoke coming out the coolant reservoir. The coolant reservoir was empty! It's using 1/3 gallon prediluted daily. Last summer the air conditioning compressor failed while driving 75mph in a rural gap between metro cities. I was in a rental for 2 months before the backordered part arrived. Please investigate all aspects of the cooling system? Vehicle has 10k miles.

BACK OVER PREVENTION

My 2024 Buick Envista rear backup camera is no longer operational. The camera has failed just after 14 months of new car purchase. The warranty is void due to mileage. There are many safety concerns due to camera failure including car and pedestrian collision. There are many reports of these cameras failing within one year of production of the Envista and should be recalled and repaired at no cost to the owner.

On January 15, 2025, my front panel went completely blank (black screen) moments after driving off a parking lot. I pulled over, turned the car off to try to reset it, but didn’t work. Tried this 3-4 different times in different locations. I also had no exterior lights working. My main lights, brake and headlights were not functioning. This was very stressful and luckily it was still daylight, so I returned home immediately. I took a video of this incident for my records. Next day, the panel is working properly.

SUSPENSION

The rear suspension is not able to handle passengers in the back seat. Passengers in the back seat experience pain in the lower back on even small bumps in the road. It seems as though the rear springs are inadequate to keep the shocks from bottoming out and causing pain to the passengers. On a 5-hour drive, my adult son experienced so much pain from the ride that he took two days off work to recover. I took the vehicle for service and asked them to look at it. The service writer at the dealer told me it is a known problem that they cannot fix without a recall on the rear springs.

On Friday, September 13, 2024, without warning, the instrument panel that shows the speed of the car (and left and right turn signals), turned off and went black (blank), while I was driving my brand new Buick, Envista. It was less than three months old at the time. The car’s mileage was at about 1,000 miles. I did not know what speed my car was going, other than by watching cars around me. I did not know if the car’s turn signals were working. I did not know if the car’s brake lights were working. I did not know if traffic behind me would know if I was coming to a stop or planning a turn. VERY SCARY!!!! I was so worried about a possible traffic accident occurring if none of the car’s turn signals and/or brake signals weren’t working. My wife was so scared she didn’t want to ride in the car any more! I called onstar and they ran a diagnostic check of the car, while the screen was black, but they found nothing wrong. I printed the onstar report and brought it to the dealer. I drove the car to the dealer on Monday, Sept 16 so they could diagnose the problem. They could not duplicate the instance as shown on their ticket number, BUCS508706. Buick customer service assigned a case number and advised driving the car to the dealer immediately should this black/Blank screen happen again so they can see the problem while the car is still running.

The Cruise control do not adapt to the speed of the vehicle in front of me like it’s supposed to and all of sudden windows won’t go up or down. Car is falling apart even though it’s new how is that possible.
