YOU ARE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT NIGHT AND FOR NO REASON THE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT. YOU HIT THE HIGH BEAMS AND IN A FEW MINUTES THEY GO OUT. HAD THIS CAR TO THE DEALERS AT LEAST 4 TIMES AND THEY KEEP REPLACING THE RELAY AND A MONTH OR TWO LATER IT DOES THE SAME THING. WE HAVE A LOT OF DARK ROADS HERE IN OHIO AND YOU CAN BE COMING INTO A CURVE AND THE LIGHTS GO OUT. YOU CAN'T SEE A THING. GM CLAIMS THEY DON'T HAVE A PERMANENT FIX FOR THE PROBLEM.

A RECALL NOTICE MAY BE ISSUED . MY WIFE WAS GOING TO WORK AT 4 AM ON SATURDAY MORNING AND WAS FORCED TO USE HIGH BEAMS TO ILLUMINATE THE HIGHWAY AND LOCAL STREETS.THE DEFECTIVE MODULE WAS REPLACED THIS AFTERNOON .HDM MODULE 2545 CPC 1 15016745 (S) RELAY PARTS COST $60.74 LABOR $114.00 & SALES TAX $10.48 = TOTAL COST $ 185.22.

THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND THE AIRBAGS HAVE NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED. THIS ALL HAPPENS EITHER STATIONARY AND/OR IN MOTION.

IT SEEMS TO OCCUR WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION GOING EITHER UP OR DOWN AN INCLINE.

AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, SINCE APPEARANCE OF THIS LIGHT MAY INDICATE THAT AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF AN IMPACT. THE DEALERSHIP CHECKED THE CARE AND CLEARED THE CODE, AND ADVISED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THIS SHOULD THE LIGHT COME BACK ON. I HAVE CHECKED ONLINE AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A PERVASIVE ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL YEAR AND EVEN YEARS FOLLOWING THIS. IN SOME CASES THERE HAVE BEEN RECALLS THAT INVOLVED SOFTWARE ISSUES. I SPOKE WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED THAT THEY COULD CHANGE THE SENSORS, BUT THIS RUNS ABOUT $2500 AND THERE IS NO WARRANTY THAT IT WOULD RESOLVE THE ISSUE OF THE INTERMITTENT APPEARANCE OF THE AIRBAG LIGHT. SHOULDN'T THIS INVOLVE AN OFFICIAL RECALL, SINCE IT IS SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS MODEL AND SHOULDN'T THE MANUFACTURER BE RESEARCHING A SOLUTION TO ENSURE DRIVER/PASSENGER SAFETY?

INTERMITTENT AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF FOR PASSENGER SEAT WHETHER OR NOT THE SEAT IS OCCUPIED. THIS HAS CONTINUED FOR TWO YEARS. ON-STAR FAILURE CODE IS ALWAYS B0092. I TOOK THE BUICK TO A DEALER WHO ATTEMPTED TO FIX IT TWICE WITHOUT LUCK. THE THRID TRIP FOR A "FIX" WOULD HAVE COST ME $ 1,200 WITHOUT ANY GUARANTEES. IT STILL IS IN USE BUT I NOW KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED. THIS HAPPENS WHEN PARKED OR DRIVING.

ORIGINAL OWNER OF A 2007 BUICK LACROSSE CXL. POWER STEERING PUMP FAILURE AT AROUND 85,000 MILES. POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED BECAUSE OF LEAKING HOSES. PRIMARY REASON FOR LEAK IS DUE TO LINES INCORRECTLY CRIMPED AROUND THE METAL LINE THAT ADHERES TO RUBBER HOSE. LINES CANNOT WITHSTAND PRESSURE AND START LEAKING INTERMITTENTLY UNTIL THEY COMPLETELY FAIL. I HAVE REPLACED POWER STEERING PUMP AND RACK AND PINION DUE TO FAULTY LINES DAMAGING THE WHOLE SYSTEM. I HAVE SEEN MANY INSTANCES ONLINE ABOUT PEOPLE HAVING TO REPLACE A COUPLE MONTHS LATER AFTER INITIAL REPLACEMENT. THIS IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT OF POWER STEERING LINES THAT ARE OUT ON THE MARKET. THERE IS A BUICK TSB THAT DESCRIBES THE PROBLEM FOR THE 2005-2007 YEARS AND THE PARTS WERE UPGRADED IN 2008 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. BUICK WILL NOT REPLACE THE PART FREE BUT I NOTICE THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THESE YEARS. The contact owns a 2007 Buick LaCrosse. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V355000 (Electrical System). The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and had the recall repair performed. The contact stated that in May 2022, while driving 25 MPH, the engine seized. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated the key failed to turn in the ignition. The contact stated he waited approximately 5 minutes before he was able to restart the vehicle and continue driving to his destination. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the catalytic converter to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to the independent mechanic and had the catalytic converter replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. Low beam headlights randomly turn off while driving at night and day. Causing not to be able to see the roadway at all. Very dangerous!!! They give no warning at all. Only the low beams do this. Bright lights are not affected. There was a recall for this issue but they said my car was not affected. But it is 100% affected by this recall. Ot seems like the Headlamp driver module is overheating. It gets extremely hot. This issue almost caused a very serious accident .

I OWN A 2007 BUICK LACROSSE CXL. IT HAS HAD A VIBRATION IN IT SINCE IT WAS DELIVERED. Taken car to dealership for computer analysis and was told that the issue was caused by P0420cataylic converter needed to be replaced. I had cataylic converter replaced elsewhere and noticed that wasn't the problem. After doing some research I found that ignition switch is the reason my car stalls while driving. There was a Product Safety Recall (14299) Ignition key rotation and replaced on 10- 8-20 but I'm having the same problem.

NOISE LIKE RUBBING SOUND COMING FROM STEERING COLUMN AREA. STEERING GEAR WAS REPLACED ONCE, PROBABLY TWO YEARS AGO AND NOW MAKING SAME SOUND AS BEFORE. THE TIRES HAVE BEEN REPLACED REPEATEDLY ON THIS VEHICLE AND IT STILL FEELS LIKE IT IS HOPPING OR WALKING INSTEAD OF ROLLING. I HAVE REQUESTED GM AND BUICK TO PROVIDE A MECHANIC THAT IS FAMILIAR WITH THIS PROBLEM AND CAN RESOLVE IT, BUT THEY REFUSE TO ACT. I AM NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE VEHICLE AND WAS UNDER THE BELIEF THAT THE DEALERSHIP AND BUICK OR GM WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND EITHER THE DEALERSHIP OR GM OR BUICK TO ANYONE. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT BOTH HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO WORK WITHOUT WARNING HEADLIGHT RELAY FAILED SEVERAL INCIDENTS POSTED ON LINE. AFTER ARRIVING AT WORK WAS UNABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE BECAUSE BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLES FAILED TO OPEN THE DOOR. CAR IS CURRENTLY AT A BODY SHOP ATTEMPTING TO OPEN THE DOOR. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE RAIN, MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. I WAS TERRIFIED. TURNING THE SWITCH ON AND OFF WOULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND WOULD NOT FIX IT. I HAD TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE IN 2009 AND HAD COMPLAINED OF LEAKING SEAL ON THE TOP EDGE OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR IN THE RAIN. WATER WOULD DRIP ALL OVER MY LEFT ARM, SHOULDER AND ARM REST. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND WOULD NOT FIX IT. NOW THE HEADLIGHTS WILL REFUSE TO WORK ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT FIX IT. THE DASH READS HEADLIGHTS SUGGESTED BUT THEY WILL NOT COME ON. I CAN USE THE DIMMER ON THE STEERING COLUMN AND THE BRIGHT LIGHTS WILL WORK, BUT DRIVING WITH BRIGHT LIGHTS INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC IS DANGEROUS. I NEED TO HAVE A DEALER FIX THIS PROBLEM. I TOOK THE CAR THROUGH A CAR WASH FOR THE FIRST TIME THE OTHER DAY AND THE LIGHTS HAVE BEEN ACTING UP AGAIN. PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE CONTACT ME AND AUTHORIZE REPAIRS AT THE DEALERSHIP. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE EVEN A SHORT DISTANCE AT NIGHT NOT KNOWING WHEN MY HEADLIGHTS WILL SUDDENLY GO OUT AGAIN. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES NOW. IT REALLY SCARES ME AND CONCERNS ME THAT A DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT REPAIR THE PROBLEM. *TR UPDATED 09/10/13*LJ THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THERE WAS A NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING, A SQUEAKING NOISE COMING FROM THE DASH AREA, AND WATER WOULD DRIP THROUGH THE TOP DOOR, EVERY TIME IT RAINED. ALSO, THERE WAS A VIBRATION ISSUE, SO THE DEALER REPLACED THE TIRES, BUT IT DIDN'T RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BUICK LACROSSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE EXITING A PARKING SPACE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ABNORMALLY. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED BUT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE AS THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND CRASHED INTO SEVERAL OTHER VEHICLES. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED A COLLISION SHOP. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED TO THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO INSPECT THE EVENT DATA RECORDER BOX THAT WAS LOCATED INTO THE VEHICLE. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING 60 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,000.

BRAKES PULSATE WHEN BRAKING. CAR VIBRATES WHILE DRIVING AND ALSO HAS A DESIRE TO PULL TO RIGHT. FEELS LIKES WHEELS ARE OUT OF BALANCE ALL THE TIME. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN AND HAD THE BALANCE CHECKED AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS FINE. THEY SAY IT IS THE MAKE OF THE TIRES AND GOODYEAR IS AWARE - THEY HAVE MADE A GOODWILL REPLACEMENT OF THE TIRES DUE TO HISTORY OF MY CAR.... THE ENGINE BLEW AT 1500 MILES!!! STILL NO BETTER. EVERY DAY I GET MY FILLINGS RATTLED LOOSE ON THE WAY TO WORK. THE PULL TO THE RIGHT WAS FIXED WHEN THE REPLACED THE STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT - BUT I HAD TO GO BACK BECAUSE THE DEALER DID NOT DO FRONT END ALIGNMENT AFTER REPLACING THE STEERING SHAFT "NOT NECESSARY - IT'S NOT THE STANDARD PRACTICE WITH THE JOB" WHEN THEY FINALLY PUT IN ON THE MACHINE, IT WAS OUT OF TOE BY .18 DEGREES. I AM STILL WORKING ON GETTING THE BRAKES FIXED. LAST TIME THEY TURNED THEM DUE TO "HARD SPOTS". WHEN I GO BACK FOR THE INSPECTION IN NOV. I HAVE TO HAVE THEM WORK ON THEM AGAIN. THIS TIME I WILL FIGHT TO HAVE THE ROTORS REPLACED AS I AM TERRIFIED THAT I WON'T STOP WHEN I APPLY MY BRAKES BECAUSE THE PULSATING HAS GOTTEN THAT BAD. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THIS WAS A SAFETY CONCERN WHEN ENTERING PARKING GARAGES. THIS VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 600 MILES. THIS FEATURE WAS AVAILABLE IN MORE EXPENSIVE MODELS, AND WAS A STANDARD FEATURE 5 YEARS AGO.
