On May 7th, I was informed the cause of load roaring noise was due to the failure of 2 front wheel bearing. After the work was completed I was informed both rear wheel bearings would need to be replaced. Four wheel bearings failed simultaneously. Yes the car is parked at the dealership and available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Potential for Accidents: Wheel Disengagement: The Buick dealership technician confirmed four wheel bearing needed to be replaced at the same time. One bad bearing would allow me the driver to possibly control the car until it is safely out of traffic. Four failed wheel bearings could cause the driver to lose all control of the vehicle and or the wheels to disengage from the vehicle which has the potential for serious injury or death. A disengaged wheel could fly off and cause harm to other drivers or pedestrians, or the driver themselves could lose control and crash. Yes, the service department at the Buick dealer confirmed four wheel bearings failed on May 7th. Yes I received another inspection from an independent auto repair servicer. No the vehicle has routine maintenance and a state inspection without any warnings of the need for four new wheel bearings.

I went to have this issue taken care of over 3 time and the repair shop gave me a hassle everytime now the car is gifted to my 16 year daughter and I would like for her to drive safely please help Safety Risk A rear toe link fracture may reduce the ability to control the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Remedy Dealers will replace rear suspension toe links and adjuster fasteners.

The contact owns a 2013 Buick Lacrosse. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V764000 (Suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that there was a waiting list for parts. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified however, no further assistance was provided. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

I purchased the vehicle in 07/2021 through the Drive time Dealership. The first concern is that as you go over the agreement the cost of the vehicle is well over the actual blue book value which $24,000 plus. But then there is the blinded words which cover the interest rate and the false mathematics that is used to confuse you. I realized that in the end of that process it is stated that I would owe $70,000 plus which one can buy 3,4, vehicles or a home. I ask that this transaction be investigated. My ethnicity was the motivating factor to become victimized just the commission. My second complaint which also support my reasonings as to this filing is due to the lack of reply towards the recall ( NHTSA- 20V764) Manufacture Recall Number:N202308930. I called the GM Manufacture on 07/27/2021 and was told that the Remedy was not yet available. It has been over a month period . According to the initial date the Recall came effect which was Dec. 10/2020 it has now been 2 years 14 days sense recall and I have yet to receive relief about this serious safety issue. I am asking for an investigation to initiated. It is not good the way consumers are being manipulated for monies we work hard for as good unfortunate Citizens. The 3rd incident occured when I was traveling east on 40-E going to work I felt the rear of the vehicle drop low( downward) which caused me to lose traction i need the recall completed Thank you.

The contact owns a 2013 Buick LaCrosse. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the display screen failed to respond. No warning light was illuminated. The following day the contact adjusted the mirrors and attempted to start the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to start. The contact waited for several minutes, and the vehicle started. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed, that the knob on the driver's side view mirror and key immobilizer were causing the failure. A new battery was installed, and the radiator support was cleaned; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer however, the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Buick LaCrosse. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the power steering warning light illuminated, and the steering seized. In addition, the contact stated that a warning indicated a low voltage and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled in the middle of a busy road. The contact called the Police to assist with moving the vehicle over to the shoulder of the road. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer; however, the contact was advised to have the vehicle towed to another dealer. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a low voltage Hybrid battery. The contact was informed that the Hybrid battery needed to be replaced to perform a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact contacted a Chevrolet dealer by phone and was informed that the Hybrid battery was no longer in production. The contact stated that the failure had occurred in February 2024, however, the independent mechanic had provided a temporary fix. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the battery was no longer covered under warranty. The contact was informed that the battery had exceeded the warranty period. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Buick LaCrosse. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at 55 MPH, the vehicle began to lose motive power as the parking assist warning light appeared on the instrument panel. The contact's daughter also stated that the vehicle had lunged forward prior to losing power. Additionally, the power locks had started to lock and unlock independently. The vehicle was initially taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic test discovered an electrical failure within the vehicle. The contact then had the vehicle towed to a dealer however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 151,000.

The climate control systems have stopped working. The temperature is locked to the last set temperature and blower zone (blowing lightly on feet only). It is available for inspection upon request. This is a significant safety issue as the climate control panel will not power on, affecting defrost for all windows. This is especially dangerous in Michigan during the winter months due to the need for defrost during spontaneous/lake effect snow. No defrost can cause significant visibility issues, which put the safety of the driver, passengers and others at risk. This malfunction also creates a safety issue because the vehicle is unable to be heated up properly when temperatures drop. This problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by an independent service center, nor has it been inspected by anyone. There were no warning lamps. My son (Ralph) has been helping me with this issue.

My vehicles steering column locked up and I could not turn left this issue was recalled on other similar year make and models but my VIN number was excluded from the recall. I can not get a replacement part for it as the part is on back order in the meantime I can not drive this vehicle and have no recourse. I am seeking to get the manufacturer to produce the needed part so I can purchase and install it but they will not tell me when I can expect it it's been over a month and I can drive my car. Power steering locked up. GMC Vacaville ran a scan and confirmed C055C steering gear performance malfunction. There has been a recall on this issue and we are being told our VIN is not a part of the recall. The car has 119489 miles.

The contact's mother owns a 2013 Buick LaCrosse. The contact stated that while her mother was driving approximately 55 MPH, an unknown warning light illuminated, and the steering wheel was difficult to turn in either direction. The contact stated that her mother drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic who was able to retrieve a DTC fault related to a power steering assist failure. The mechanic informed the contact's mother that he was unable to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Power Steering Went out while I was on the Highway. It was all of a sudden, and I had been driving on the highway for at least 2 hours. This caused my steering to be not as controlled, and could have caused a wreck if driving by a less advance and experienced driver. The only time the warning lamp came on was the minute it happened, and when completely out. I had to drive on the highway over an icy pass for another 45 minutes. It was very difficult and stressful. It thankfully did not cause any accidents, or other damage that I am aware of.

The bolt that secures the Serpentine belt tensioner unit to the motor block has repeatedly snapped apart leaving the tensioner unit to dangle from the block. Not secured, which causes the belt to dislodge or break (both have happened) the spring is left to flail about as is the tensioner unit since it is no longer connected to the engine block. Not to say where the other half of the bolt could end up. So far each time it snaps in half the other half remains in the block. But the unit is no longer secured to the block. While driving when this occurs makes controling the vehichle unsafe. It loses power and or surges at will. A hope to make it to the side of the road without crashing or causing a crash is an issue. I cannot afford a repair establishment, a family member does my repairs. ... There has been no other inspection of the issue. As for warning lights. No. Everything is fine until the unit is jiggled away from the block after the bolt snaps in half. The force of the tensioner unit action (im assuming) is too much for the bolt - causing it to snap in two. It has occurred 2 times the second was the beginning of Feb 2025 and the first about 9 to 10 months earlier in 2024. The belt has also broken off before but the unit remained attatched to the block that time. I did see on youtube that others have had the bolt snap. Like it is not strong enough for the job it has to perform. Hope u can help

The contact’s wife owns a 2013 Buick LaCrosse. The contact stated that on several occasions while the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle lunged forward and the engine stalled; however, after releasing the brake pedal, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and then lunged forward. The contact stated that the engine engaged at low speeds. Additionally, the contact stated that there was an abnormal grinding sound coming from the vehicle. The oil warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was taken to a different dealer where it was diagnosed that the main drive belt and valve cover gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the valve cover needed to be tightened but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,907.

THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL AS WELL AS OTHER 2.4 LITRE GM ENGINES WHERE THE PCV VALVE MAY BECOME CLOGGED AND IF IT IS NOT FIXED IT CAN CAUSE THE REAR OIL SEAL TO BE DAMAGED, HENCE RENDERING THE ENGINE USELESS. THERE IS A SPECIAL COVERAGE BULLETIN THAT COVER THIS VEHICLE AND OTHERS UNDER CERTAIN VIN NUMBERS. HOWEVER MY VEHICLE HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND IS OVER $1`,000 TO DIAGNOSE AND FIX. AFTER TALKING TO BUICK, EVEN THOUGH I AM WITHIN COVERAGE DATES AND WELL BELOW THE MILEAGE, MY VEHICLE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR REPAIR AND I MUST PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET, DESPITE IT BEING A KNOWN ISSUE IN OTHER VEHICLES. THIS SHOULD BE MOVED FROM A SPECIAL COVERAGE TO A RECALL FOR ANY AFFECTED VEHICLES UNDER THE 10 YEAR, 120,000 MILE THRESHOLD.

The ignition key had to be used to turn the engine off. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not yet contacted. The contact indicated that the failure posed a severe carbon monoxide hazard. The failure mileage was 63,000.

WILL OCCUR UNDER VARIABLE CONDITIONS, MOVING STOPPED TURNING, HIGHWAYS, CITY STREETS ETC. HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME AND CAN OCCUR MULTIPLE TIMES A DRIVING PERIOD. (IE DIFFERENT TIMES YESTERDAY) SOUND APPEARS TO PREDOMINANTLY BE CONCENTRATED ON RIGHT SIDE OF CAR BUT HAS APPEARED TO COME FROM DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF DRIVER POSITION A COUPLE OF TIMES. Failed component is the passenger airbag presence module. Failure of the presence module compromises the deployment of airbags. Failure of airbag confirmed by Vetter-McGill Chevrolet, Three Rivers, Michigan. Module component failure confirmed by Chevrolet dealer. Passenger airbag warning light prompted appointment with Chevrolet dealer to determine why the passenger airbag warning light was illuminated. Upon inspection and testing,Vetter-McGill determined the passenger airbag presence module failed, rendering the airbags inoperative. They also stated that replacement part is no longer available from GM due to its manufacture being discontinued. How is an auto manufacturer allowed to discontinue a vital safety component, rendering the vehicle undriveable due to potential risk of serious injury, or worse, in the event of a collision?

I WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION ON THE FRWY GOING 63MILS PER HR. MY CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS. THIS CAR HAS 6 AIRBAGS "STANDARD SAFETY FEATURES"WHICH NONE OF THE 6 AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I THINK THEY ALL ARE DEFECT AIRBAGS.

Our family was returning home after a trip out of town and as we were pulling into the driveway going less than 5mph the power steering goes out. However, indicator power steering light was already on from a similar issue reported previously where I was traveling in the city limits going 55-60 mph which was fixed by a non gmc dealer about a year ago. Current mileage 100,000 and first initial incident occurred at 77,000 miles. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Additionally, my engine check light came on last month and my vehicle service codes eluded to a short in the electrical system causing vehicle to intermittently lose power. The service check light comes off and on at will depending on the day which is a hazard because it can pose a risk to safety at any time coupled with the steering issue equals danger danger. The electrical system service codes were diagnosed by a non gmc dealer.

SECONE TIME CAR WAS BEING SLOWED DOWN WIFE GAVE IT SOME GAS TO MOVE ON UP TO STOP SIGN SHE SAID CAR WOULDN'T ACCERLATE SHE THOUGHT IT HAD WENT OUT OF GEAR FINALLY ENGAGED AND MOVED UP.

THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED THREE TIMES. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 45 TO 50 MPH THE CAR SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTS CAUSING THE MOTOR TO ACCELERATE WHILE THE VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN AND WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS COMPLETELY RELEASED THE SPEED IS QUICKLY REDUCED LIKE THE BRAKE IS BEING APPLIED...TO MAINTAIN A SPEED OF 25 TO 30 MPH THE MOTOR RPM HAS TO BE IN THE 3500 RANGE. THIS CONDITION REMAINS UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED AND THEN IT RETURNS BACK TO NORMAL OPERATIONS. CAMSHAFT SENSOR FAILS REPEATEDLY, AFTER WARRANTY REPLACEMENT. THIS IS CAUSING THE MOTOR TO DIE AT DIFFERENT SPEED'S AND LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. THE VEHICLE IS UNRELIABLE AND UNSTABLE. IT IS A LIABILITY TO OPERATE KNOWING ANY MINUTE THE CSPS CAN FAIL AND RENDER THE VEHICLE USELESS.

I HAVE SERVICE REPAIR SPECIALIST CHECK SOURCE OF PROBLEM AND IT IS FAILURE OF "CAM SHAFT SENSOR". UPON RETURNING HOME 285 MILES AWAY, AGAIN HAD PROBLEM DIAGNOSED WITH SAME RESULTS..."CAM SHAFT SENSOR" AS ENGINE CHECK LIGHT WAS ON AGAIN AND CAR HAD NO POWER. ON 9/1/2015 CALL ELLIS AUTOMOTIVE INC. AND TOLD THEM ABOUT PROBLEM, PART NEEDED AND ASKED FOR A SERVICE DATE FOR REPAIR. THE SERVICE DATE WAS SET FOR 9/11/2015 AT 9:00 A.M. TRAVELED TO DEALER (51 MILES ONE WAY) AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS "CAM SHAFT SENSOR", BUT DIDN'T HAVE PART AVAILABLE. WHEN I ASKED WHY INEXPENSIVE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AFTER MY PRIOR COMMUNICATIONS I WAS TOLD THEY ONLY RESPOND TO THEIR OWN DIAGNOSES. ON 9/14/2015 AT 3:50 PM , I GET THE MESSAGE THAT PART WAS IN BUT THAT THEY CLOSE AT 4:PM. I CALL AT 9:00 AM ON 9/15/2015 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE SERVICE DATE FOR 9/30/2015 AND WILL MEET ME HALFWAY WITH "LOANER CAR" AND TAKE MY CAR FOR REPAIR. THE REASON FOR THIS COMMUNICATIONS IS PRETTY BASIC. THIS DEFECTIVE PART CAUSES THE ENGINE TO FAIL AND GM KNOWS THAT THE PROBLEM EXIST AND IS WELL DOCUMENTED. THE DEALERS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY GM THAT PROBLEM IS KNOW BUT VEHICLE CAN BE RUN SO THERE IS NO PRIORITY TO FIX PROBLEM WHEN REPORTED BY CUSTOMER. WILL IT TAKE MORE PEOPLE KILLED BY THEIR VEHICLE STALLING IN TRAFFIC WITH NO POWER BRAKING OR STEERING BEFORE GM IS FORCED TO TAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION ON A PART THEY KNOW IS PRONE TO FAILURE.? WHEN THE CAR HAD MILEAGE IN THE MID-UPPER 30,000 IN 2018, WE NOTICED THAT AS THE SPEED COASTED DOWN TO 30MPH, THERE WAS A HARD DOWNSHIFT. SO HARD, YOU THOUGHT THE ENGINE FELL OUT OF THE CAR. AT THE TIME WE HAD NOT REALIZED IT ONLY DID THIS WHEN THE ENGINE WAS COLD. SO, WHEN WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. IN 12/2019, WE LEFT IT OVERNITE AND THEY "DID" REPLICATE THE ISSUE THE NEXT MORNING. THIS IS STATED ON OUR SERVICE BILL. THEY SUGGESTED A DEEP ATM FLUSH, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A NORMAL FLUSH 18 MONTHS EARLIER WITH THEM. WE PAID THEM TO DO IT AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. SINCE WE SLOW DOWN EVERY TIME WE APPROACH A STOP SIGN OR STOPLIGHT, THIS OCCURS AS WE GET DOWN TO 30MPH. EXACTLY AT 30MPH!!! ONCE THE ENGINE IS WARM IT, WE DO NOT NOTICE THE ISSUE. BUT WE LIVE IN NORTHERN OHIO & THE NITES ARE COLD OCT-APRIL. WE DROVE THE CAR TO WARM MIAMI FL IN 1/2020. IT STILL DID IT, BUT ONLY A MILD DOWNSHIFT THEN QUICKLY DID NOT REPEAT AS THE TEMP WAS WARMER THERE. TO REDUCE THE HARDNESS OF THE DOWNSHIFT, WE HAVE REVERTED TO TRYING TO LET THE CAR WARM UP AFTER STARTING IT AND APPLYING THE BRAKES AS WE SLOW DOWN TO 30MPH! A 5 INCH PIECE OF METAL BROKE OFF THE WHEEL RESULTING IN DAMAGING THE TIRE AND CAUSING SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. THIS PIECE OF METAL BROKE OFF FROM THE INSIDE SECTION OF THE WHEEL, WHICH FACES THE ENGINE BAY, RULING OUT THE FACT THAT IT WAS CAUSED BY DEBRIS OR IMPACT FROM A CURB OR ROAD. THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL, SUCH AS WARPED TIRES OR DENTS OR DINGS ON THE WHEEL, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE IF THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED DUE TO ROAD HAZARD. A FOUR TO SIX INCH PIECE IF METAL BROKE OFF FROM THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL (RIM) OF THE CAR, WITHOUT ANY EXTERNAL IMPACT (POT HOLE OR CURB). THIS RESULTED IN THE RIM PIERCING THE TIRE AND BLOWING ITS SIDE WALLS. THIS COLLAPSE (DAMAGE) OCCURRED FROM THE INSIDE SECTION OF THE WHEEL (THE SIDE FACING THE ENGINE BAY) FURTHER INDICATING THAT IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN CAUSED DUE TO THE CAR HITTING A CURB. FURTHER THERE WAS NO DAMAGE (BENT RIM OR SOMETHING SIMILAR) TO THE REST OF WHEEL AND RIM WHICH WOULD HAVE INDICATED A COLLAPSE DUE TO THE WHEEL HITTING AN OBJECT ON THE PAVEMENT. THE LARGE PIECE OF METAL BROKE OFF FROM THE RIM DUE TO STRUCTURAL DEFICIENCY IN THE RIM, WHICH THEN RESULTED IN THE TIRE BLOWING UP AND CAUSING A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN.

Today is 8.26.2025, I took this car back and left it w/dealership: Let them figure it out! I told them 0ne month after purchase this car is constantly EMPTY with no/Oil. I should not be getting oil changes this often. "Oh, it just burns more Oil and you bought a USED car"...Months later I hear smalls sounds, engine light comes on, then goes away, smoke begans to continue spreading behind the BUMPER building a permanent black spot on bumper! It smells, from time to time, plus car feels sluggish when driving past 50mph almost SCARED it will cut off** Now, I gather my funds that I don't have to SPEND (CASH) no CREDITCARD and I proceed to BELLE TIRE! I am on file within their system. (Receipts) They do what they do... apparently no Leaks. But the car is burning too much oil!! too Fast! "Keep an Eye on your Levels"... hmmm* I also got a MAINTENANCE TUNE-UP on my next visit. So far roughly $2000 has been SPENT towards this VEHICLE (Buick). TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 BUICK LACROSSE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE BATTERY AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE POWER STEERING FAILED. AFTER THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, HE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE RECALL HAD EXPIRED AND DID NOT OFFER FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,111.

COMPLETE BLACKOUT OF MONITOR (NAVIGATION SCREEN) INCLUDING REAR VIEW CAMERA WHILE WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND HAPPENED ONCE DURING STARTUP OF VEHICLE. SOMETIMES BEFORE BLACKOUT VERTICAL LINES APPEAR. ESTIMATED TIME OF BLACKOUT HAS LASTED MORE THAN ONE MINUTE AND I HAVE HAD TO PULL OVER UNTIL IT APPEARS. I HAVE HAD PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE WHO HAVE WITNESSED THIS OCCURRENCE. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE MAYBE 2 OR 3 TIMES TO THE BUICK DEALERSHIP, THE LAST TIME THEY REPLACED THE FULL MONITOR, AS THEY COULD NOT FIND WHAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURRING AND EVEN WORSE BECAUSE ITS HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY. I AM GOING TO THE BUICK DEALERSHIP TOMORROW ABOUT THIS AND A NEW PROBLEM WITH THE SEATS NOT HEATING UP, WHICH WAS NEVER A PROBLEM UNTIL THE SCREEN BLANKED OUT ONE NIGHT. I'M SUSPICIOUS IF THIS IS RELATED TO WHATEVER IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM WITH THE MONITOR. THERE MAY BE SOME WIRING/COMPUTER/TECHNICAL GLITCH WHICH NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED. PURCHASED CAR A LITTLE OVER TWO YEARS AGO AND IN THAT TIME IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS NUMEROUS TIMES. THE PROBLEMS THAT CONTINUES TO OCCUR IS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR CANNOT STAY RUNNING. IT LOSES POWER AT STOP LIGHTS, BEEN PUSHED AT GAS STATIONS AND HAS EVEN STOPPED RUNNING PULLING ONTO THE INTERSTATE. TAKEN IT TO THE BUICK DEALERSHIP AND EACH TIME THEY CLAIM TO HAVE "FIXED" IT. THIS CAR WAS IN THE SHOP TWO WEEKS AGO EXACTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON AND THE CAR CONTINUES TO STOP RUNNING (FULL TANK OF GAS) FOR NO REASON. I DO NOT HAVE AN ADDITIONAL CAR TO DRIVE, SO WHEN IT IS IN THE SHOP I HAVE TO RENT ONE OR BORROW ONE, ALONG WITH THE COSTS TO GET THIS CAR "FIXED" I AM LOOKING AT ABOUT FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS SINCE NOVEMBER 2015. THE BUICK DEALERSHIP IN TWIN FALLS, IDAHO NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR AND GET IT FIXED FOR GOOD. THIS IS NOT OK. WHICH INCLUDED THE REAR VIEW CAMERA WHICH BECAME TOTALLY USELESS FOR THE INITIAL 25 SECONDS OF BACKING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. THE SAME BLACKOUT OF THE MONITOR/DASHBOARD HAPPENED WHEN HE DROVE FORWARD OUT OF A COVERED PARKING GARAGE. THE DEALER EVERYTHING WAS PERFORMING AS DESIGNED. JB ACCORDING TO THE INVOICE, WHEN THE CONSUMER SHIFTED FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR AS THOUGH THE TRANSMISSION WAS DISCONNECTED. ALL THE GEAR LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. AFTER THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF, THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS WHILE IN DRIVE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE REAR VIEW CAMERA PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PUT IN REVERSE, THE IMAGE ON THE NAVIGATOR SCREEN WAS SUPPOSED TO SHOW A YELLOW GUIDELINE TO ASSIST IN ORIENTING THE VEHICLE WHEN IT WAS BEING BACKED UP. THE GUIDELINES WERE A CRITICAL FEATURE OF THE REAR VIEW CAMERA. THE VEHICLE WAS MISSING THOSE GUIDELINES. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE LOCAL AND NATIONAL GM REPRESENTATIVES AND THEY REFUSED TO CORRECT THE SAFETY PROBLEM. A FULLY FUNCTIONAL REAR VIEW CAMERA IS A SAFETY NECESSITY WITH THE VEHICLE, SINCE IT HAS A VERY SMALL NARROW BACK WINDOW. COMPOUNDING THE PROBLEM WAS THE UNRELIABILITY OF THE NAVIGATION SCREEN. THE CONSUMER HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM FIXED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. WHEN THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM WENT BLANK, THE REAR VIEW CAMERA DID NOT WORK.

HOWEVER A SMALL PURSE (6LBS) IS SUFFICIENT TO ACTIVATE THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE CONSOLE AND RING THE CHIMES ALERTING THE DRIVER THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER IS NOT BELTED IN. TESTED WITH 8 Y/O DAUGHTER (43LBS) WITH SAME RESULT. DEALER HAS EXAMINED THE SYSTEM AND FOUND IT TO BE PERFORMING AS DESIGNED. BUICK CUSTOMER SERVICE RETURNED MY PHONE CALL AND STATED THAT BASED ON THE MALFUNCTION AND THE VERBIAGE IN BULLETIN 12-09-41-002A THIS MALFUNCTION IS OKAY AND NO FURTHER SERVICE IS REQUIRED.
