My wife was driving and went to turn the vehicle and the steering locked up momentarily. She drove directly home a block away and pulled into the garage. When attempting to take the car for service it would not turn in either direction.

The contact owns a 2015 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, he noticed that the steering wheel did not have power steering. The warning message "Service Power Steering" was illuminated. The contact was able to take the vehicle to the dealer by forcefully steering the steering wheel. The dealer test drove the vehicle and diagnosed that no issues were found. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred while driving. The contact veered to the side of the road. The contact stated that after turning off and restarting the vehicle, the steering wheel regained power steering functionality. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who diagnosed that no issues were found. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 69,100.

There have been at least five different occasions when the doors of the car will randomly lock and unlock continously for anywhere from 1-3 minutes. No one would be holding the key or pushing the button. We are sitting in the car when it happens. It has occurred with the car on and off.

SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATE SPEED OF 65 MPH. OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING OPEN AREA AND NOTHING HIT THE VEHICLE. TEMPERATURE WAS APPROXIMATELY 41 DEGREES AT ABOUT 7:30PM WITH NO RAIN, SNOW, ETC. AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT. THERE WAS A VERY LOUD "BANG" SOUND WITH 5 PASSENGERS IN VEHICLE AT THE TIME. INSIDE TEMPERATURE OF VEHICLE SET AT 72 DEGREES. SOME VERY SMALL PIECES "SAND LIKE" OF GLASS WERE NOTICED ON CENTER CONSOLE, FRONT SEATS. NOT SURE WHERE ELSE. A NEW INSURANCE CLAIM HAS BEEN INITIATED. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE TECH ISN'T GOING TO CONTACT GM TO ADVISE OF ANY POSSIBLE DEFECT SINCE HE BELIEVES THE SUNROOF MUST HAVE BEEN HIT BY SOME OBJECT ON THE OUTSIDE SINCE THE HOLE IS IN CENTER AND HE SAW NO CRACKS OR ANYTHING COMING FROM AN EDGE. ADDITIONALLY, HE NEVER HEARD OF ANY INSTANCES LIKE THIS WITH BUICK/GM EVEN THOUGH I BELIEVE THIS COULD BE A FIRST OF MANUFACTURING, SAFETY, RECALL ISSUE.

I had first seen a check engine light for a month and it would come on and off and sometimes it would stay off for about a week before it comes back on and do the same thing. I had noticed some slippage within the transmission a week prior to this incident and was looking to take it in for an inspection but money is tight so I couldn’t afford to go in for an inspection, especially a repair. I was driving to work and the vehicle was doing its slippage and I go about a mile or two until I reach an intersection, I came to a red light and stopped, when it turned green, I started pressing on the gas but the car didn’t move, it only revved. I then proceeded to put it in park and turn it off then on, only for it to do the same thing. So from there I had it pushed off into a nearby parking spot and then towed to a wrenchrite where they had confirmed it had nothing to do with the transmission fluid or anything minor. I then had it taken to Emory Services and they had confirmed the transmission its self had been fried.

The part of the driver seat belt that goes under the seat and is attached by a metal cable. The cable totally ripped apart. The date is approximate because I did not notice it until it was almost completely broken off. . I had the seatbelt repaired at the dealer Mangino Buick in Ballston spa New York, at the sum of $300they said GM refused to cover it. I tried to explain that this is a Safety issue not a warranty item. This never happens.

WHILE DRIVING AROUND 65 MPH ON A HIGHWAY. THE BATTERY LIGHT WENT ON. THEN SUDDENLY THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES DIED. IT WAS VERY SCARY. A HUGH SAFETY ISSUE, THIS VERY EASILY COULD HAVE LEAD TO A SERIOUS ACCIDENT, CRASH OR DEATH. THE STEERING WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN AND THE BRAKES HARD TO PUSH DOWN. BUT THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING AND LUCKILY I WAS CLOSE TO A EXIT. I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND STOPPED IN STORE PARKING LOT. IT WOULD NOT START AFTER GETTING THERE. I HAD TO HAVE IT TAKEN TO A BUICK DEALERSHIP. IT WAS ALSO SHOWING A AIR BAG ERROR MESSAGE. THEY TOLD ME IT HAD TO DO WITH THE SEAT POSITION OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I HAVE HAD IT THERE 6 TIMES THIS YEAR WITH THE SAME ISSUE. ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO FOR THE 7TH TIME OF TAKING IT THERE THEY FINALLY REPLACED THE HYBRID BATTERY STATING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER IT WORKED FOR ONLY 9 DAYS. WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE IT ON THE NINTH DAY, THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS AGAIN ON AND HAD NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. I LEFT IT IN MY GARAGE, BUT ULTIMATELY HAD TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE COMPANY WHO HAS NOW HAD IT FOR 2 WEEKS STATING THAT THERE IS SOME TYPE OF PARASITIC DRAW ON THE BATTER AND IT WON'T HOLD A CHARGE.
