THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (RICHIE'S AUTO REPAIR IN CHICAGO HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS) WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION MODULE AND A COIL WERE DAMAGED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY CHRISTI ANSON CHEVROLET (9700 INDIANAPOLIS BOULEVARD HIGHLAND, INDIANA) FOR THE SAME FAILURE BACK ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2015 AND DECEMBER 15, 2012. BOTH OF THE REGULATORS IN THE FRONT DOORS OF MY VEHICLE HAVE FAILED. THIS HAS CAUSE THE PANE IN THE WINDOW TO SLIDE INSIDE OF THE DOOR. THE FIRST ONE DID IT WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WHILE VACATIONING IN OHIO IN MAY OF THIS YEAR. THE SECOND WHEN I ARRIVED AT WORK ONE MORNING. I CALLED THE BUICK CS LINE TO REPORT IT, BEFORE I KNEW OF OTHER CONSUMERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS ADVISED TO TAKE IT IN TO A GM DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE PROBLEM DIAGNOSED YET THE ONLY THING I WAS TOLD BY A TECH THERE WAS THAT THEY HAD SEEN THIS PROBLEM BEFORE BUT NEVER IN MY TYPE VEHICLE. WELL I KNOW OF TWO OTHERS WITH RENDEZVOUS AS WELL AS RAINIER AND LE SABERS. I WENT ONLINE AND FILED A COMPLAINT ON THE BUICK WEBSITE AND STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED WITH A SOLUTION. I FEEL THIS IS A FACTORY DEFECT AND SHOULD BE REPAIRED AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. ESPECIALLY IF BUICK HAS SEEN THIS PROBLEM IN SEVERAL VEHICLES. EVEN WITH POSSIBILITY OF THIS BEING DANGEROUS TO MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN, IT IS NOT EVEN AFFORDABLE FOR A SINGLE PARENT LIKE ME TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. I HAVE BEEN SMELLING OIL BURNING SMELL WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR FOR A WHILE. TODAY I TOOK THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME IT'S "UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD/COOLANT LEAK. HE FOUND RECALLS ON PREVIOUS YEARS. HE ADVISED ME TO TALK TO GM. GM DIDN'T FIND ANY RECALL ON MY VIN AND TOLD ME I CAN'T BE COVERED. HOWEVER I FOUND MANY COMPLAINS BY OWNERS OF OTHER MODELS AND YEARS. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT 2002 MODELS WERE NOT REPORTED TO BE COVERED BY A RECALL. GM CONNECTED ME TO A BUICK DEALER IN MY AREA. ON 12/24/2007 THE RIGHT REAR POWER WINDOW ON MY 2002 BUICK LESABRE BROKE. IT WAS REPAIRED AT A BUICK DEALERSHIP ON 12/28/2007. THIS IS THE THIRD POWER WINDOW TO BREAK. THE RIGHT FRONT WINDOW BROKE ON 6/28/2007 AND THE LEFT REAR WINDOW BROKE ON 12/4/2007. THESE WINDOWS ALL BROKE IN THE DOWN POSITION, SO A REPAIR IS NECESSARY. ALL WINDOW HAD VERY FEW OPERATIONS. I WOULD ESTIMATE NO MORE THAN 100 OPERATIONS FOR THE FRONT WINDOWS AND NO MORE THAN 50 OPERATIONS FOR THE REAR WINDOWS. ON 9/30/2007, I ROLLED MY DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW DOWN TO PAY FOR PARKING AT BWI AIRPORT. THE WINDOW WOULD NOT GO BACK UP. I PICKED UP SOME FRIENDS AND WE HEADED TO BALTIMORE MARYLAND WHERE WE HAD A RESERVATION FOR LUNCH. THE HIGHWAY HAD BEEN SCORED FOR FUTURE RE-SURFACING, SO THERE WAS MORE DEBRIS THAN USUAL. A PASSING CAR KICKED UP A STONE AND IT WENT PAST MY HEAD AND HIT MY PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEAT AT 60 MPH. DT: THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD HER SHE NEEDS NEW BRAKES. LAST YEAR ON 4-20-04 SHE BROUGHT IT IN TO HAVE THE OIL CHANGED AND COMPLAINED ABOUT A PULSATION IN THE BRAKES. THEY TOLD HER THAT BOTH FRONT AND REAR BRAKES WERE GONE AND THEY REPLACED THEM AT NO CHARGE. ON 5-4-05. SHE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HER BRAKES. A LEAKING FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ON 2002 BUICK PARK AVE COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE OR EXPLOSION WHICH MAY RESULT IN A FATAL ACCIDENT OR INJURY. FUEL WAS LEAKING OUT OF THE VACUUM PORT OF THE PRESSURE REGULATOR. GM NO LONGER USES THE PART NUMBER 17113660 WHICH WAS LEAKING ON MY VEHICLE. THEY HAVE REPLACED IT WITH PART NUMBER 12583236. I PLAN TO REPLACE THE LEAKING FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR WITH A NEW ONE AND WILL KEEP THE OLD ONE FOR INSPECTION. *JB

Rust got to the back end of this car it is completely detached this car is not safe in any shale or form. The backend could fall apart at any moment and completely make the tires and everything else fall right off. It has only been inspected by me and I am 100%sure it is rusted through and through. Just don't wanna see someone get hurt. The car vibrates on the highway.

I SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE TAKING THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP ON SEPT. 11, 2002. AIR CONDITIONING: AFTER CAR SITS IN HOT SUN FOR 2 HRS OR MORE, A/C REFUSES TO COME ON. AUTO LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED. BLOWER DOES NOT COME ON AND FLOOR IS SHOWN ON DISPLAY SCREEN. COMPRESSOR DOES RUN. ATTEMPTS TO MAKE RUN WILL SOMETIMES GET SYSTEM OPERATIVE. SEAT MEMORY: AFTER DOORS UNLOCKED WITH KEY PAD, DRIVER SELECTS HIS OR HER SEAT MEMORY BUTTON. SEAT MOVES FORWARD. WHEN IGNITION SWITCH IS SELECTED TO ON AND BEFORE ENGINE IS STARTED, SEAT WILL MOVE TO EXIT POSITION. THIS CONDITION INTERMITTENT--PROBABLY ONE TIME IN 50 TRIES. DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE EITHER PROBLEM AND REFUSED TO REPLACE ANY COMPONENTS. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND WE ARE IN ARBITRATION AT THIS MOMENT. WE MAY PRESS FOR A GM RE-PURCHASE OF THE CAR. WE HAVE GIVEN DEALER ONE MORE CHANCE TO FIND AND FIX THE PROBLEMS. WE LIKE THE CAR VERY MUCH AND WANT TO KEEP IT IF GM WILL FIX THE PROBLEMS. THEIR STONE WALL APPROACH IS NOT ACCEPTIBLE.
