I CONTACTED DEALERSHIP IN BREMMERTON WASHINGTON THEY STATED THAT MY VEHICAL VIN WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST PLEASE ADD THIS VIN TO THE RECALL LIST SO APPROPRIATE REPAIRS CAN BE MADE THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND COULD BE FATAL TO DRIVERS.

THE MILES AND GEAR SHIFT HAVE STOPPED SHOWING ON THE DASH BOARD. WHEN IN REVERSE WHEN I PUT THE CAR BACK INTO DRIVE THE HEADLIGHTS GO DIM UNTIL THE CAR PICKS UP SPEED. ALSO I HAVE BEEN HAVING A RECALL ON MY CAR SINCE OCTOBER AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL, LETTER, EMAIL ETC.

I AM VERY UPSET WITH MY 2000 BUICK LESABRE. TODAY, THE WINDOW ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WENT DOWN AND WOULD NOT COME BACK UP. THIS IS THE 6TH, YES 6TH WINDOW THAT HAS BROKEN ON THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST 2 WERE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANT. THE LAST 3 WERE NOT, WE HAD TO PAY FOR THEM TO BE REPLACED. NOW, IT HAS OCCURRED AGAIN. MY HUSBAND WENT BY THE DEALER TODAY TO SEE HOW MUCH JUST THE PART WOULD COST TO SEE IF HE DID IT HIMSELF WE COULD SAVE MONEY. THEY WANT $384 FOR JUST THE PART, THE LABOR WASN'T INCLUDED. WE CALLED AUTOZONE AND NAPA TO SEE HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE, WHICH IS MUCH LESS. ANY WHERE BETWEEN $130 - $180. I CONTACTED BUICK DIRECTLY WHEN THIS FIRST START OCCURRING AND THEY WERE NOT SUPPORTIVE AT ALL. THE REALLY DON'T CARE. SINCE THE FIRST COUPLE WERE COVERED. THEY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. EVEN SINCE THE 3RD WAS RIGHT AFTER MY 3YRS WAS UP. I HAVE DONE ALOT OF SEARCHING ON THE WEB AND FOUND A WEBSITE WITH OVER 100 PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS. I AM SURE THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS, AND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE JUST LIKE ME AND MANY OTHER WEBSITES. GM NEEDS TO OWN UP TO THIS DEFAULT "POWER WINDOW REGULATOR" AND RECALL THESE CARS FOR A PART THAT WORKS AS IT SHOULD. As my daily drive to a shopping location i parked my car at a curb, i turned OFF engine, and i removed the key, i open and exit the car out the driver side door, as i walk a few feet away from my parked car, i then was alerted by people from a nearby business that smoke was coming from the bottom area on my car, i turned and saw dark smoke, and fire began slowly rising from below the bottom front center area of the car, UNKNOWN to me why the car was smoking, and now on fire, this was a fast burning fire, i did not know what to do as more people including a nearby off duty police officer joined in to help, then the fire Department engine truck and crew pulled up in seconds just at the nearby traffic light , as my wife and i stood there and my car was now burning up from the hood area, a blast of foam did not put the fire out, the fire captain, and his crew cut open the hood to put out, in the (Captain words) an electrical fire, they began to cut wires from battery, within the engine area . I've never believed this was happening, so unreal, as i thought about how my wife, and I were just sec. from getting back into the car to continue our day shopping, we thank all who helped. We just drove a short distance away from our home. There were no warning lamps, fire started as people were eating at a outdoor food service business, it was an uncontrolled car fire, my wife and don't know what to do at this point, humiliation towards the car dealer and repair update by (GM Recall )

I PURCHASED A 2000 BUICK REGAL GSE 8/18/00 WHICH HAS A SUPERCHARGED ENGINE. THE CAR HAS BEEN A GREAT CAR UNTIL 12/16/2005. AFTER I HAD PARKED THE CAR AND GONE INTO THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE, MY CAR CAUGHT FIRE AND WAS DESTROYED. THE CAR WAS TOTALED AND THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER TOLD ME IT WAS THE 3RD BURNED BUICK REGAL SUPERCHARGED ENGINE THAT HE'D SEEN THIS YEAR ALONE. AFTER INVESTIGATION, IT APPEARS THE GASKET IN THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM LEAKED, FUEL DROPPED ONTO THE MANIFOLD SYSTEM, A FIRE STARTED AND THE CAR WAS DESTROYED (ALONG WITH A GOOD BIT OF DAMAGE TO THE VOLVO PARKED NEXT TO MINE). The contact stated that the fire had completely burned the engine. When the police and fire department arrived, the fire department extinguished the fire. Police and fire department reports were filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard but was not deemed totaled by the insurance company. The contact stated that prior to the fire, the vehicle was leaking oil onto the ground and lost motive power while driving uphill. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. AFTER DRIVING ABOUT TEN MINUTES INTO MY TRIP LAST NIGHT AT ABOUT 60 MPH, MY BUICK REGAL 2000 ENDED UP LOSING THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. IT THEN LOST ALL POWER AND LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE INTERSTATE. I LOST THE POWER STEERING, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STARTED FLICKERING. THIS OCCURRED IN A WORK ZONE AT ABOUT MIDNIGHT. WITHIN FIVE MINUTES THE FLASHERS AND LIGHTS ALSO WENT TOTALLY DEAD. EVEN THE TRUNK WOULD NOT RESPOND TO MY REMOTE. THE CAR LIGHTS AND ENGINE HAD BEEN VERY STRONG AND NEVER GAVE ANY REASON FOR CONCERN. THE KEY HAS BEEN DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FROM THE IGNITION CYLINDER FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THIS HAS BEEN THE ONLY SOURCE OF TROUBLE WITH THE CAR. THE RED SECURITY LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS ILLUMINATED - WHICH IS UNUSUAL - UNTIL THE LIGHTS QUIT WORKING. COULD THIS HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE SECURITY SYSTEM? WE HAVE NOT ALTERED THE FACTORY SECURITY SYSTEM. IT IS ORIGINAL. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

FUEL LEAK INSIDE OF ENGINE BAY. MY SON HAS RECENTLY DISCOVERED A FUEL LEAK ONCE THE MOTOR IS SHUT OFF. IT APPEARS IT IS THE BACK FUEL RAIL RETURN LINE QUICK DISCONNECT FITTING THAT IS LEAKING GAS ONCE THE MOTOR IS SHUT OFF, REALIZED THE PROBLEM WHEN I SHUT MY CAR OFF, 5 MINS LATER I STARTED IT & COULD SMELL GASOLINE FROM THE HEAT VENTS. SHUT IT OFF. OPENED HOOD, STRONG ORDER OF GAS PRESENT. REMOVED PLASTIC TOP ENGINE COVER & A VERY STRONG SMELL PRESENT. TRACED THE FUEL LINES & FOUND GASOLINE DRIPPING OUT OF THE REAR FUEL RAIL ONTO THE MOTOR. SON IS REPLACING THE O RINGS IN THE QUICK CONNECT TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING AROUND A DRIVETHRU AT KFC AND THE CAR IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. I CALLED SUPERIOR CHEV TO GET A QUOTE, IT WAS 249.00 JUST FOR THE WINDOW REGULATOR OVER 600.00 PARTS AND LABOR. I HAD TO HAVE THE PART SO I BOUGHT IT AND CAME IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE THAT COULD PUT IT ON FOR ME FOR ABOUT 90% LESS THAN SUPERIOR CHEV IN DEKALB COUNTY GEORGIA. I ALWAYS HAD TROUBLE WITH THE REAR LEFT WINDOW. I HAVE MY GRANDDAUGHTER CAR SEAT ON THAT SIDE. WHEN I WOULD PICK UP MY SON FROM SCHOOL WE COULD NOT ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT COME DOWN. THEN I HAD THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOWN AND IT GOT STUCK IN THE DOWNWARD POSITION. I HAVE A 2000 BUICK REGAL. IN JUNE 2005 THREE WARNING LIGHTS STARTED SHOWING UP ON MY DASH "CHECK ENGINE", "ANTI LOCK BRAKES" AND "TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM OFF". THE LIGHT STAYED ON FOR 1 WEEK AND THEN WENT OFF. THIRTY DAYS LATER, THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND STAYED ON FOR 1 WEEK AND THEN WENT OFF. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE WILLIAMS FAMILY AUTO MALL DEALERSHIP (WHERE I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THE CAR AND HAVE HAD MY CAR SERVICED) TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THEY TOLD ME THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND IT WILL COST ME $3,200 TO FIX. THE CAR HAS 80,000 MILES ON IT. I DECLINED HAVING THIS FIXED BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO REPAIR THE CAR. IN THE MIDDLE OF AUGUST, THE THREE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN AND HAVE STAYED ON SINCE THEM. NOW THAT I SEE THE RECALL NOTICE FOR GM'S TRUCKS AND SUV'S WITH ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEMS I WANTED TO SEE IF MY PROBLEMS ARE RELATED TO THE RECALL. I ALSO WANTED TO SEE IF THERE IS ANYWAY I CAN HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED ALONG WITH THIS RECALL NOTICE. ITS NOT RIGHT FOR SUCH A SYSTEM TO GO OUT WITH 80,000 MILES. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR AN ESTIMATE WHICH WAS $2,300 WHO SAID THE "RACK" WAS OUT. I THEN TOOK IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE, DEMPSEYS, AND THEY SAID THE "PINION" PART OF THE STEERING WAS OUT. I HAD THE CAR FIXED AT DEMPSEYS FOR $1,000 WITH REFURBISHED PARTS AND THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. *JB

I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE SINCE FEBRUARY 04, 2004 I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE NO ONE HAS BEEN IN THE BACK SEAT. IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE REAR SEATBELT ASSEMBLY, I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE PAID TO HAVE IT FIXED, BUT THE FACT THAT BOTH REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES ARE COMPLETELY LOCKED UP SAYS TO ME THAT THERE MUST BE SOME KIND OF DEFECT, AND I FEEL THAT THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM SHOULD BE REPORTED, AND CHECKED FOR SIMILAR COMPLAINTS OR MALFUNCTIONS. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH THE STEERING FAILED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A SNOW BANK. *AK THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED TWO CRASHES DUE TO THE BRAKES AND THE STEERING LOCKING. THE CONSUMER HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON THREE OCCASIONS FOR THE STEERING PROBLEM BUT THE LOCKING CONTINUED. MY MAJOR CONCERN IS WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE MY TIRES TODAY GOODYEAR LS EAGLES I WAS TOLD THE TIE RODS WERE WORN SO BADLY THAT THEY COULD NOT DO IT WITHOUT REPLACING THEM TO ALIGN THE CAR PROPERLY. THERE HAD BEEN A NOISE IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR SINCE THE DAY ONE THAT I THOUGHT WAS NORMAL TIRE NOISE, BASED ON MY YEARS OF DRIVING (37 WITHOUT INCIDENT) IT SEEMS WORN TIE RODS AT 31,000 MILES IS SOMETHING TO CONSIDER INVESTIGATING. MY DRIVING IS LOCAL 90% OF THE TIME, 7 MILES EACH WAY TO WORK, 5 DAYS A WEEK. ONCE A MONTH A TRIP TO BOSTON. I TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPORT THE OTHER LITTLE INCIDENTAL PROBLEMS THAT DO NOT HAVE AN IMMEDIATE EFFECT ON MY SAFETY, THE EXCEPTION BEING THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMING ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE NOT REPORTED THESE MINOR PROBELMS TO THE DEALER. I HAVE REVIEWED THE RECALL NOTICES FOR MY BUICK REGAL AND BASED ON MY VIN NUMBER I AM HOPING NHTSA CAN LET ME KNOW IF ALL THE RECALL WORK HAS BEEN PERFORMED. I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW IN JULY 2000 AND I AM ONLY AWARE OF TWO RECALLS THAT REQUIRED US TO REPLACE THE LABELS ON OUR VISORS AND RETURN TO THE DEALER FOR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED FOR THE OTHER REPORTED RECALLS ALTHOUGH THEY OCCURRED IN MAY 00 AND JUNE 00 AND I DID NOT PURCHASE THE CAR UNTIL 7/29/00. THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL FAILED TO WORK RELIABLY. EVENTUALLY, IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL. CAR WAS SERVICED BY TWO DEALERS UNDER WARRENTY. IT TOOK FOUR VISTS TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. A CONTROL COMPUTER WAS REPLACED. APPARENTLY THIS REPAIR CAUSED MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT TO SHINE. AT THIS TIME I DO NOT KNOW IF MY AIR BAGS WILL WORK IN A CRASH OR IF THEY WILL GO OFF UNEXPECTEDLY. CAR MANUAL STATES THAT EITHER SCENARIO MAY OCCUR. DEALER SERVICE TECHNICIAN STATES THAT IT WILL NOT DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY.
