CONSUMER BELIEVES THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE DISC BRAKE SYSTEM, CONSUMER STATES THAT IF THE BRAKES DRAG LONG ENOUGH THEY CAN GET HOT AND LOCK UP, HE BELIEVES THAT IF A SPRING IS INSTALLED INTO THE CALIPER THAT THIS WAS CEASE THE BRAKES FROM DRAGGING AND GETTING HOT WHICH THEN CAUSES THEM TO LOCK, CONSUMER STATES THAT HIS BRAKES DRAGGED, OVERHEATED AND THEN LOCKED UP, HE THEN INSTALLED A SPRING INTO THE CALIPERS WHICH PREVENTED THE BRAKES FROM DRAGGING AGAIN.*JB

VEHICLE WAS PARKED WITH CONSUMER BEING INSIDE THE VEHICLE. WHILE MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL BACK AND FORTH FOR ADJUSTMENT CONSUMER NOTICED PLAY IN THE STEERING. THE STEERING RACK MOUNTING BRACKET PULLED FROM THE FIREWALL. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER FOR AN APPOINTMENT. *AK THE STEERING BECAME SLOPPY. *TC

STEERING UNIT PULLED AWAY FROM FIREWALL CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THE FIREWALL HAD RUSTED OUT AND ASKED ME IF THE CAR HAD BEEN IN A FLOOD, WHICH IT HAD NOT. HOWEVER, SHORTLY AFTER I HAD BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN 1993 I HAD A PROBLEM WITH WATER LEAKING INTO THE CAR THROUGH THE DASH AND ONTO TO THE FRONT FLOORS EVERY TIME IT RAINED. I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND ASKED FOR A NEW CAR. HOWEVER, THEY SAID IT COULD BE REPAIRED. THEY DID SOMETHING WITH THE FIREWALL AT THAT TIME AND ASSURED ME THAT EVERYTHING WAS CORRECTED. THE LEAKING DID STOP. HOWEVER, AFTER BRINGING THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER'S BODY SHOP AFTER THIS INCIDENT, I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS UNREPAIRABLE, SINCE THE ENTIRE FIREWALL IS NOW ROTTED OUT AND THE CAUSE OF THIS WAS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM, WHICH WAS A FACTORY DEFECT. AFTER ALMOST A MONTH OF WAITING AND GM ORIGINALLY AGREEING TO GIVE ME $1000 TOWARDS A NEW CAR EVEN THOUGH THE STREET VALUE OF THIS CAR, WHICH IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION OTHERWISE, IS $3000, THEY NOW HAVE PULLED THE OFFER. I SHOULD HAVE STUCK TO MY GUNS BACK IN '93 FOR A NEW CAR! *JB

DEES CHREVOLET CLAIMED THEY FIXED THE LEAKS. THEY WERE RUDE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. WHEN IT RAINS I PUT A TARP OVER THE CAR. A BODY SHOP INFORMED ME THAT THE PAINT JOB WAS NOT ORIGINAL AND THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED OR REPAINTED SINCE I BOUGHT IT ON APRIL 1993. WHY DOES A CAR LEAK WHEN IT NEVER HAS BEEN WRECKED. HOW DID IT GET ANOTHER PAINT JOB WHEN IT HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED OR ANY STRUCTURE DAMAGE TO IT. DEES CHEVROLET NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED UNDERCOVER AND SEE HOW THEY DO BUSINESS WITH THEIR WARRANTY DEPARTMENT. THEY WILL FIX IT AGAIN FOR YOU AT YOUR COST BUT THEY COULDN'T FIX IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

SIDE IMPACT FAILURE, STEERING FAILURE, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE FAILURE. SEVERE RIGHT SIDE IMPACT ON FEBRUARY 28, 2005 MODERATE WEATHER CONDITIONS. ANTI-LOCK BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE CAR. WHICH CAUSED THE CAR HARD TO STEER. A 2003 HONDA PILOT WRECKED HEAD-ON INTO THE SIDE OF A 1993 GEO PRIZM. THE PRIZM'S ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE WITH PASSENGERS WERE SEVERELY CRUSH.
