The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the power steering became inoperable. The contact pulled over to the right side of the road, turned off, restarted the vehicle, and the power steering functionality returned. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the power steering needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V086000 (STEERING); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 125,000.

While driving, the vehicle suddenly lost all electric power steering assist, making the steering extremely heavy and difficult to control. This occurred without warning and significantly increased the risk of a crash, especially at low speeds and during turns. The issue occurs intermittently and temporarily resolves after restarting the engine, which suggests an intermittent failure. The defect matches the description in GM’s active recall (GM Recall N252497020 / NHTSA Campaign 25V175000) for similar 2017 Chevrolet Camaro models, involving a faulty printed circuit board in the steering gear assembly. This failure has happened multiple times and creates an immediate safety hazard. I have not yet had the issue confirmed by a dealer because GM and the dealership are requiring me to pay a diagnostic fee, even though this is a known safety defect on similar vehicles. The steering system has not been inspected by the manufacturer at this time. A warning message stating “Service Power Steering” sometimes appears after the failure, but not every time. No other warning signs were present before the loss of assist. This problem has occurred during normal driving conditions on public roads.

Steering assist failure and is not included in the 2018 recall of other General Motors vehicles. The failure is as described in the cars under the recall. GM has no desire to cover this component failure. This is a serious safety issue as it still can be steered but with great effort and could result in a serious wreck. The car has 12,000 miles and garage kept. There are no check engine lights. The battery is good with a full charge. The engine temp is good. The car is currently at the GM dealership and I am being told that it will be my responsibility to pay for it.

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The service technician at the dealership linked the known issue to the torque converter and potentially the transmission system. The suspected faulty components are available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? While driving my 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, the vehicle intermittently and abruptly slows down and shakes/shudders violently, as if riding over rocks. This unexpected and dangerous behavior could easily result in a loss of control, especially at higher speeds or in traffic, putting both myself and other drivers at risk. This issue compromises the safe operation of the vehicle. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The service technician told me this is a known problem with Chevrolets and stated that they currently have four other vehicles in their service department with the same issue. Given the frequency of this issue (as noted by the dealer) and the sudden onset without warning, I am concerned that this is a broader safety-related defect that warrants investigation. The technician stated multiple times that the issue is likely the torque converter, or in the worst case, a failing transmission. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? No, the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer directly, or by police or insurance representatives at this time. I’ve never received any notice from the manufacturer regarding the shudder and recommended fluid flushes. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lights or messages have appeared. The sudden shuddering and slowing down of the vehicle while driving occurs without any prior warning.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle started shaking abnormally and shuddered. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a delay in the transmission before the transmission shifted hard. Additionally, while driving at slow speeds, the vehicle hesitated to go into 1st and 2nd gears. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and then intermittently lost motive power. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that there were metal shavings inside the transmission and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 77,800.

Transmission is shuddering. Can try to accelerate and it lurches until it finally catches gear and goes. Definitely a concern when at a stop and pulling into traffic

So the rear window in the convertible top is coming on glued and it can cause issue water is starting to come in. I have seen alot of other cars and people complaining about this issue. When I contacted the dealership about this issue they kinda blew me off. To get it fixed is to replace the whole top at 3200 to 3800.

I have 2017 Camaro convertible, around 2020 I notice the rear window glass was separating from the top material. This car manufacturer should take the responsibility to repair the defect. There was an earlier complaint with NHTSA service # 17-NA-216

2017 CAMARO PURCHASED CAR ON FEBRUARY 2017; RECENTLY MY CAR HAS BEEN SHOWING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT EVERY TIME I GO OVER A SPEEDBUMP OR POT HOLE OR ANYTHING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO AWAY IN A DAY OR TWO AFTER THAT. THE THIRD TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON, I GOT A READING DONE AT AUTOZONE, SHOWED IT WAS TRANSMISSION FLUIDS OR TRANSMISSION SENSOR. FEW DAYS AFTER THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED OFF AND TOOK IT TO ED BOZARTH, WHERE I PURCHASED MY CAR, SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS UNABLE TO DETECT FOR A WHOLE WEEK FROM 11/24/2020 TO 11/30/2020 WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. THEY FINALLY GOT BACK TO ME AND STATED MY CAR IS READING P0711 FOR TRANSMISSION FLUID SENOR PERFORMANCE AND THEY NEED TO REPLACE TWO TRANSMISSION HARNESS. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS NOT SURE HOW IT HAPPEN OR WHAT CAUSED IT. I BELIEVE THIS COULD BE PART OF THE SERVICE BULLETIN:15111 SPECIAL COVERAGE.

IN HUMID CONDITIONS THE CAR WINDSHIELD WILL FOG UP (CONDENSATION). THIS IS CAUSED BY AIR LEAKING FROM THE FRONT DEFROSTER VENT. COVERING THE VENT RESOLVES THE ISSUE. GM ISSUED TSB;#17-NA-201: EXCESSIVE WINDSHIELD CONDENSATION, HVAC DEFROST DOOR FLUTTER TYPE NOISE HEARD - (JUN 16, 2017). HAD THE REPAIR PERFORMED IN 2017. THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED AND APPEARS WORSE NOW. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE W/ THIS GENERATION OF CAMARO. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS IT IMPEDES IMMEDIATE VISIBILITY.

THE WINDSHIELD FOGS UP WITH AND WITHOUT ACTIVATING THE DEFROST. THE FOG OCCURS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DRIVE AND OBSTRUCT THE DRIVER'S VIEW. THE FOG ALSO OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS POWERED ON AND IN PARK. HOWEVER, THE RISK IS THE VIEW OBSTRUCTION WHEN THIS OCCURS WHILE DRIVING. While idling out of a driveway on Friday, 8/25/23, there was a warning on the dash that stated "low oil pressure, shut off vehicle immediately." I immediately shut the vehicle off within seconds of seeing this warning and towed the vehicle home. I've read that these vehicles-Camaro ZL1 are notorious for failed oil pumps. I have babied this vehicle and do not use it as a daily driver. I only take it out a few times a year and have only 18,000 miles on it. The vehicle is in stock condition and has not been modified which blows my mind that this would even occur on such a well taken care of vehicle that is so expensive and supposed to be the top the line. Of course the dealer was unhelpful due to it being pass what they consider warranty timeframe. I am hopeful that GM will assist in any way possible being that I believe GM installed faulty oil pumps on these expensive vehicles. Also I am a loyal customer to GM. Within the last 5 years, I have purchased 3 brand new Chevys-2017 Camaro ZL1, 2020 Silverado Trailboss, and 2021 Malibu RS.

My vehicle dies while going 60 MPH or at red lights, creating a dangerous situation in traffic or on the highway. At times when yielding it feels like I've been hit by another vehicle from behind, the transmission does not downshift normally, and the TSB (see attached) proves that General Motors knew about this issue and did not notify customers or recall the vehicle for repairs. I have 2 issues with my vehicle and both issues remain unresolved even after utilizing the power train warranty. My vehicle was taken to the dealership for repairs multiple times, the "check engine" light was on the vehicle, no one checked it, and General Motors did not honor its Power Train Warranty Obligations, "the defects remain unresolved". My vehicle is dangerous to operate, I have tried working with General Motors to arrive at a solution, "But I should not be forced pay additional expense for issues General Motors knew about a, issued TSB's warning dealerships, and made no effort to notify customers. I am reporting this issue to the NTSB before providing a 30 day Notice of Intent to sue, to General Motors

WHEN I'M DRIVING IN THE HIGHWAY AT CRUISING SPEEDS THERE IS A SHUDDER VIBRATION COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION CONTACTED GM TOOK MY CAR IN TO HENDRICKS CHEVROLET 3 MONTHS AGO, THE SHUDDER CAME BACK CONTACTED GM AGAIN ASKED FOR ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ANOTHER DEALER MICHAEL CHEVROLET THEY DENIED TO EVEN LOOK AT MY CAR NOW THE PERSON HANDLING MY CASE AT GM WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS EVERY TIME I CALL THEY WANT TO TRANSFER ME TO FARIS THE GUY HANDLING MY CASE NEVER GET A CALL BACK I WOULD REALLY LIKE THIS TO GET INVESTIGATED I HAVE EXHAUSTED MY AVENUES AND I'M VERY AFRAID I'M STUCK WITH A LEMON. Driving back from several trips out of state. On I15, the car shut completely off, while moving. Everything powers off. Car still in motion. Have to push the ignition button to turn back on and resume power and turned the car back on. The has happened now 5 times since i bought the car brand new in 2017. The dealer has never been able to reproduce issue. Are my charging cables for phones and ipod shorting out the car?? I dont know. It's the only thing that might be an issue.

"Shift to Park " message on my DIC, apparently this is an ongoing issue with Chevrolet and GMC models. My son was trapped in the car for 15 minutes because the lock would not release, he kept turning the car on, shifting to D and and returning to park without much success. Now he opens the door before he turns the car off which is not safe.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated while his wife was stopped at a traffic light, the light turned green and the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that his wife was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that when he attempted to jump start the vehicle, the vehicle remained off, but the passenger’s side rear taillight illuminated, and the windshield wipers engaged independently. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after three attempts. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the battery had failed. The vehicle was then taken to Connell Chevrolet (2828 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626) who diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced, and the dealer test drove the vehicle but informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 42,767.

-The Air bag light on the dashboard it's coming up, stays on, the passenger seat reader light stays on even if there is no nobody seating and when a person seats on passenger seat the passenger air bag sensor light says is off. -Yes I'm available for inspection upon request. -The safety of the passenger and mine is in risk everytime I use the car. -It has never been inspected by that problem before ( but based on socialmedia grups with the same car we have the issue) -never had a check engine light on.

NONE OF MY 2017 CAMARO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AFTER AN 18 WHEELER HIT ME WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. I WAS GOING APPROX. 55 MPH IN THE FAR SLOW RIGHT LANE. TRUCKER HIT ME ON DRIVERS SIDE AND MY CAR WAS HOOKED TO THE TRUCK. HE THEN DRUG ME APPROX. 50' AT SPEEDS OF 45-55 MPH. WHEN I DID FINALLY GET LOOSE FROM TRUCK IT THE SLUNG ME IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK WHERE HE THEN HIT ME AGAIN FROM BEHIND. AT LEAST ONE OF THE 4 AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. ESPECIALLY THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG. THIS ANGERS ME B/C IT IS ONE MAIN REASON I PURCHASED THIS CAR. AND IN ADDITION, APPARENTLY NON OF THE CRASH RESPONSE SENSORS WORKED EITHER. ONSTAR WAS SUPPOSED TO CONTACT ME SHOULD AN ACCIDENT OCCUR. I TRIED CALLING THEM WHILE I SAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE. SAT ON HOLD FOR AN AGENT 10 MINS BEFORE I FINALLY HUNG UP.

THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FOREARM AND NECK PAIN THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO COURTESY CHEVROLET SAN DIEGO (750 CAMINO DEL RIO N, SAN DIEGO, CA 92108 (619) 297-4321), BUT NO DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND. THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO HAVE HIT SOMETHING; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT HIT ANYTHING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS PERFORMED AS INTENDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123.

There are two primary concerns with this vehicle that, after further investigation, appear to be commonly experienced issues. While driving, the vehicle shudders unexpectedly and intensely, then the issue spontaneously resolves. Upon contacting the dealership, I was informed that this is a recognized problem. The service representative explained that moisture was accumulating in the transmission fluid due to a factory defect, resulting in the sporadic vibration. I was advised that a transmission flush using Mobile One would rectify the problem, but this measure proved ineffective. The dealership is now suggesting that the torque converter may be the cause. Separately, the rear window has detached from the convertible top. Despite my efforts to seal the gap, water still seeps into the vehicle during rainfall.

THIS HAS HAPPENED 10 TIMES SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR. I AM TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON MONDAY TO FIGURE OUT WHY THIS MAY BE HAPPENING. THIS IS $150 JUST TO GET A DIAGNOSTICS TEST DONE. I PURCHASED MY 2017 CAMERO WITH ONLY 36 MILES ON IT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES FOR MAINTENANCE WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF ME PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. IT HAS BEEN TWICE FOR THE VIBRATION OF THE TRANSMISSION. AT FIRST THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A ISSUE WITH THE TIRES. I ENDED UP PURCHASING NEW TIRES, HOWEVER THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY FINALLY STATED THAT IT WAS A ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND THEY HAD TO WAIT ON GM TO SEND SOME TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE MOST RECENT ISSUE I HAVE WITH MY 2017 CAMERO IS THAT THE STABILITY TRACK LIGHT CAME ON, THIS CAUSED MY CAR TO CUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THEY REPAIRED THE STABILITY TRACK ISSUE BUT I NEED A NEW ENGINE OR TO HAVE THE ENGINE REBUILT. THE DEALERSHIP STATED A CODE#2 CYLINDER MISFIRE INTERNAL CODE DISPLAYED. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT A NEW ENGINE WOULD COST ME AROUND $8900.00 PLUS LABOR. THEY STATED TO REBUILD IT IT WOULD BE OVER $10,000.00. THEY STATED MY WARRANTY WAS UP AT 60,000 MILES AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY OR GM CAN DO TO TO ASSIST ME. THIS IS THE FIRST CAR THAT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED AND IT 'S UNTHINKABLE THAT A ENGINE GOES OUT ON A CAR WITH 70,000 MILES ON IT. I ALSO KEPT UP WITH MY REGULAR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE . came upon stopped traffic on I15 freeway i pushed on my brakes and had none i had to run off of the road to avoid a rear end collision at 75 mph ,brakes were solid no movement of petal at all no matter how hard i pushed ,after i got my car back under control and came to a rolling stop a notice came on in my dash saying ...brake assist...nothing was assisting anything I HAD NO BRAKES !!! I had to have my car brought home by a towing company (2) states away from my home .had i not had a way to get off the road to avoid the stopped traffic it would have been a 75 mph rear end accident with very possibly and more than likely..... fatalities ....I HAVE SINCE FOUND OUT THIS IS A VERY COMMON FLAW WITH CAMAROS ,LOOK ON LINE AND READ THE FORUMS !!! I MY DAUGHTER AND MY 5 MONTH OLD GRANDSON RIDE IN THIS CAR DAILY ..ONE OF MY QUESTIONS IS ..IF IT WAS YOUR FAMILY WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND SAVE THEIR LIVES ....

Purchased vehicle in 2018. I’m the only owner. At the 84,000 miles mark lost brake pedal pressure. Detected the problem while parking. Took the car to the dealership for repairs. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60 -70 MPH IN LIGHT TO MEDIUM RAIN AND IT WAS AROUND 35 DEGRESS, MY BRAKES FAILED TO WORK. I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THERE WAS NO RESISTANCE. While driving I experienced the wheel becoming more stiff unexpectedly while turning even slightly it would randomly get harder to turn. A power steering warning came on saying to be careful and right after the car started shaking really bad. Stop the car checked tires tie rods sway bar other steering components and nothing seemed abnormal. Was able to drive the rest of the way home but still had the random stiffness at the steering wheel.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that rainwater leaked into the vehicle on the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. The contact stated that they were unsure if the water was leaking by the rear seats of the vehicle. The contact could hear air entering the cabin of the vehicle and see some outside light entering through the top and sides of the convertible roof. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that the sound of air and hints of light entering through the seal of the convertible roof was normal. However, the leaking was repaired by replacing the seals around the roof. The contact stated the failure reoccurred during the next inclement weather. Currently, the convertible top failed to return to the upward position after being lowered. Several attempts were needed for the convertible top to return to the closed position. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was not covered under a recall nor under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 40,042.

I would like to report a safety concern with my car having a strong shuddering or vibration, including the steering wheel which I’m unable to move. When this happens RPM remain below 3000 rpm as if the the gears were having trouble changing, the shaking remains while driving in the city at around 25-35 mph and highway speeds at around 65-76 mph. My car was under warranty when this started happening, the dealership flushed and replaced the transmission fluid and it took care of the problem for about 2000 miles (GM has several bulletins in regards to the “shake” on different model vehicles since 2014). When the shuddering returned, I returned to the freedom Chevrolet where I bought the vehicle (actual mileage 53768) and explained the shuddering returning. I was advised to leave the car which now has been at the dealership for months and they refuse to fix the problem stating it is out of warranty. I provided all the bulletins I found on related issue which GM has stated they fix the problem by swapping the transmission on new cars but nothing has been done on the cars that have the existing problem because “there is no recall” as the service advisor stated. This problem could’ve been resolved when I took the car the first time but I wasn’t aware of the severity of the problem or that I would have so much trouble with the dealership now. All I asked is to honor the warranty as the issue was brought up when the vehicle was still under warranty and has less than 60,000 miles.

Got trapped inside the car in 100 degree weather plus humidity. The car started the whole and operated perfectly fine while a message prompted on the dash. After doing a push to start that morning before work. The car runs for 10mins until it shuts off. That morning closed myself in to get ready to head to work. Remote not detected prompted. It said it three times that day. The last time it said it I was heading home after getting food. After a push to start that’s when it trapped me inside. Called 911 in Rocky Mount Nc. All they were worried about is a OnStar button. If I had to wait on them probably would’ve been dead. Cause they have to ask a multitude of questions. Rescuers never came. While OnStar was on speaker I thought to check to see if I had the app available to unlock the doors. Usually I don’t pay the bill for it thought the remote way was better. Due to the fact that the app takes a while to upload and could update at anytime as well as signal issues in certain places. Luckily it was setup on autopay. Although it did take a little while to load I was kind of at ease knowing OnStar was still on the speaker. Spoke with a Gm specialist about doing a recall. Instead expressed that, that’s if my vehicle is even eligible for an upgrade. Had suggested the installation of physical unlock levers instead they ignored the suggestion. This is a deadly safety hazard not only for myself but for others as well. Especially if they are not alert about it. When I found that the key fob wasn’t rechargeable inside the vehicle after being trapped inside it. I bought a battery from the Chevy company that was brand new but still a dead battery. Which caused me not to be able to start the vehicle at all. The only thing that help was recharging the battery on the Apple Watch charger by removing the battery from the key fob. Not everyone knows that and still isn’t a good and or safe reliable method to use cause of uncertainty of battery life. Let the car go back for this reason.

The blender door that controls the air flow will close all the way and causes fog build up on the front windshield constantly whether it's cold or hot outside. It also randomly changes from hot to cold during driving. This is a concern due to drivability with the windshield fogging up or the comfortability of driving in extreme conditions ie... Shudder in the transmission. My camaro shudders between 40 and 50 mph. It had a recall and was taken in for the repairs. It was a transmission fluid flush and a change in the fluid. Something like that. The problem is shudder isn't fixed it was for a while but its back. There's definitely something still wrong with this. Is it causing the car more damage? I believe GM should repair all the recalled vehicles right! This is an issue and a huge nuisance. Shudder problem is still there!

This car originally was towed four times because of the failure of the fuel pump wiring harness to the PCM unit the fix was they put a fusible link between the fuel pump I believe and the PCU it still has problems it's intermittent it has issues of burning and melting the case or the plug-in is burnt in there we've addressed it with upper management of Chevrolet and they wanted us to take it to a different dealership and it was just a fiasco after that they said they fixed it they didn't fix it gave it back to us. I'm the father of the driver of the car I worry about my grandchildren and my son having a fire in that car I keep having problems we have to go get them and jump start them and figure the mess with the wires in the trunk so tired of this thing please help there has been consecutively people on the internet telling how to fix which General Motors should be responsible for this fix is pathetic how much I've read about it

After having the car for a year with regular maintenance and service, out of nowhere car was giving electrical problems that was making my car battery die and the ABS brake system giving out completely to the point where the vehicle has no brakes at all & engine failure due to cylinder #1 no compression, car kept giving codes p0300 , C0299 , B1517 , notice there’s an service bulletin from GM NO. Pi1178F is know as a common problem for LTG engines, also the only way I found out that the engine was damaged when I took the vehicle to the dealership for diagnostic and was told that one of the Cylinders had no compression which had came down the line that an Piston ring had internally damaged my engine, vehicle has 145K and was running smoothly until sudden electrical problems.

The safety retention cable associated with securing the the driver's seat belt to the driver's seat broke. The stainless steel cable, being approximately 1/4" to 5/16" in diameter, became disconnected from the entire driver's side seat belt. Making the seat belt totally unusable to the driver of the vehicle. It is unknown what caused the cable to because cut and/or fail but, I am a 30 year military aviation maintenance veteran who has seen my fair share of material failure and the manner in which this cable failed is absolutely due to a material defect.

GM has a service bulletin about issue. it involves all 2016 to current Camaro Convertible models. Back window that is sealed to the top just suddenly pops out. Rolling down window at highway speed while top up just pops out back window. the service bulletin states that and insufficient amount of primer is used during the assembly process. This allows the material to separate from glass. Window just pops out. purchased car new november of 2018 with 50 miles on it. car is garage kept and has less then 17000 miles. i am on my 3rd top. Gm will not cover the serious and potentially dangerous problem. TOP right of passenger side window failed. driving with top up and window open will further seperate glass from top and blow out. car is not safe to drive with top up.

I TOOK MY 2017 CHEVY CAMARO TO TOM BELL CHEVY LOCATED IN REDLANDS CALIFORNIA THEY REPLACED THE SOFT TOP ON MY CAR BECAUSE OF A RECALL. WHEN I GOT HOME I NOTICED THAT THE SOFT TOP WAS MAKING NOISES WHEN IT WAS GOING UP AND AS I WAS CLOSING IT. WHEN I LOOKED TO SEE WHAT THE NOISE WAS, I SAW THAT THE ARMS THAT RAISE THE SOFT TOP UP AND DOWN WERE COMPLETELY BROKEN. I CONTACTED TOM BELL CHEVY IMMEDIATELY AND WAS TOLD TO CONTACT THE 'UPHOLSTERY GUY' WHO I'VE NEVER MET IN MY LIFE. I READ UP ON THE RECALL WHICH STATED, THE ELECTRIC STEERING CAN FAIL WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE WHICH WILL MAKE IT HARD TO STEER. I CONTACTED THE DEALER TO BRING MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE, THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO REMEDY FOR THE RECALL AND THAT THEY WILL REACH OUT TO ME WHEN THEY HAVE ONE. NHTSA RECALL NUMBER, 19V086 * (RECALL RELATED INCIDENT) TS IT IS NOW JUNE 2019 AND ON 6/16/19, I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ABOUT 15-20MPH, DRIVING AROUND A ROUNDABOUT AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED ON ME, CAUSING ME TO WRECK MY CAR WHICH CAUSED MY SEAT AND OVERHEAD AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY ALONG WITH SUSPENSION, WHEEL AND BODY DAMAGE.
