I seen the recall and drivetime refuse to fix the windshield wipers and it went out. It cause me to be rear ended from the back. Also, I paid 720.00 to get the windshield wipers pump replace my pep boys. I will like a refund for what I paid to get it fix.

On September 12 I was nearly killed due to a windshield wiper malfunction that was unfixed due to a parts shortage. The wiper motor failed in a downpour while I drove on the Interstate surrounded by sem trucks. I was in the inside lane and managed to blindly pull off and sat broke down on the Interstate. The event was devastating and could have been fatal. My husband was able to get the replacement at OReilly part store that day. Yesterday 11-4-2022 a dealership cometed the recall work.

Wipers have stopped twice now during rainstorms. I had to pull over during heavy traffic until they started again. The recall letter I received is dated April 2022....shouldn't they have the parts to fix this issue by now ?

THE ENGINE FAILED. MY SAFETY WAS NOT AT RISK. THE PROBLEM WAS CONFIRMED BY AND AUTO REPAIR SHOP. THE CAR WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A MANUFACTER OR THE POLICE. AND THERE WAS NO WARNING LAMP OR MESSAGES.

Two weeks of zero degree weather caused the rear main seal to fail causing a large oil leak that could have resulted in the engine locking up if I had not noticed oil running down the driveway. Repair shop advised this was a common problem with the 2.4 liter engine caused by a failure of the PCV system and there is a service bulletin on this problem. GM has not recalled these engines to correct the known problem.

I got to work and my check engine light came on. As I was parking I received an error message that said decreased engine power. I turned off the car and the car would no turn back on. I had it towed to my mechanic and he told me today that the engine was low on oil. That caused the timing chain tensioner to relax the chain and the timing jumped. When that happens in those engines it damages the cylinder head. The engine will need a new cylinder head and a rebuild of the timing system etc. That would include new pistons as well. That would be about 5500 to do or I’d need to buy a new engine would be about 7k or just over installed. I was well within the oil change guidance on the sticker as well as the oil change guidance in the car menu.

Rear oil seal leaking the connecter piece burst and is causing the oil to leak all out and making the car die. It is a know issue and recall but my vin number does not match. The vehicle is un drivable at this time.

There are several 2010-2014 Equinox that are having same problem. The oil smells like gas, and it burns through 4 quarts of oil before I hit 3,000 miles. I see that in 2019 there was a class action lawsuit against Chevy for putting the wrong pistons and O-rings in the 2010 through 2014 Chevy equinox 4 cylinder models. I believ this is the issue and what is causing the burning oil issue for my vehicle. I have never recieved any recall for this. Please advise on what to do next to rectify this issue.

On December 23rd, shortly after 530 pm, I remote started the vehicle, 6 min prior, to entering/driving the vehicle. On my way to work, approximately 4 minutes into the drive a woman pulled up next to me. She seemed to be in distress, trying to get my attention. I rolled down the window and she told me “your car is on fire” I quickly pulled over to the side of the road and exited the vehicle. The vehicle was dripping firey liquid. I called 911. And 12 minutes later, when the firefighters arrived, half of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. There were no warning signs. No warning lights. No sudden loss of oil or fuel. Police had the vehicle towed to a junkyard where it still sits. Unfortunately I had liability insurance only. So no claim was filed. I do have a police report and videos/pictures of the vehicle burning.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that as his daughter was slowing down to exit a highway, she was rear-ended at a high rate of speed by another vehicle. The impact from the other vehicle caused his daughter to then hit the vehicle in front of her. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact's daughter was taken to the hospital by ambulance; however, due to a long wait, she was left untreated. She was later treated by her primary care doctor who performed X-rays for the soreness in her left shoulder, the middle of her chest, and right hip; she was given medication to treat the soreness in those areas. A police report was filed. The whereabouts of the other drivers were unknown. The contact arrived at the scene and was able to drive the vehicle home; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 40 MPH. The contact called an independent body shop and an appointment was made to inspect the vehicle. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

The front passenger airbag light beeps even when there is no passenger. The airbag light is now off and shows there is no operable airbag. My vehicle was checked a month ago with no issues but this appears to be ongoing.

A service airbag indicator light appeared on my 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The vehicle has under 100k miles and was never involved in an accident. I brought the vehicle into a Chevrolet service center and they advised that the passenger airbag will not deploy in the event of an accident. The Chevrolet service center advised that the repair would cost $1382 for a new passenger airbag module. I contacted GM and their advisor followed up with me. Per our conversation the reason that the airbag needs to be replaced will not be further investigated. They will not cover the cost of replacement. A case number was assigned but advisor declined to provide written documentation of our conversation but agreed to follow-up with written estimate from service center. At this time the passenger airbag module is available for inspection and is with the owner.

The contact stated while driving 45-50 MPH on a rainy day, the windshield wipers ceased to operate as needed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving. The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that parts were not yet available. The contact contacted a second dealer, Mall Chevrolet (75 Haddonfield Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002) and was provided the same information as from the first dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. CAR RUNS FINE AND PARKED IN GARAGE OVERNIGHT. WALE UP IN MORNING TO GO ABOUT MY BUSINESS, CAR WON'T START - PRODUCES THE INFAMOUS CLICKING SOUND. I PURCHASED A NEW REPLACEMENT BATTERY FROM CHEVROLET IN NOVEMBER 2018. ON MAY 21. 2019, WITH ONLY 3,670 MILES ON THE NEW BATTERY, THE CAR WOULD NOT START. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, AND WAS CHARGED. THE DEALER EXPLAINED THAT IF I DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR 30 MILES A DAY, THE BATTERY WILL NOT MAINTAIN A CHARGE AFTER THREE OR FOUR DAYS. FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS, I HAVE DRIVEN THIS VEHICLE LESS THAN 30 MILES A DAY AND NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALER SUGGESTED THAT I BUY A BATTERY TENDER FOR THE CAR BUT I HAVE NO ACCESS TO A 110 VOLT PLUG. IN DECEMBER 2019, I AM GOING TO TEXAS AND MY CAR WILL BE PARKED AT THE AIRPORT FOR FIVE DAYS AND I AM AFRAID THAT THE BATTERY WILL BE DEAD WHEN I RETURN. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND SAW THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM AMONGST 2014 EQUINOX OWNERS. GENERAL MOTORS CONFIRMED THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE. While my daughter was driving in very cold weather ...she here a pop sound and ALL warning lites fir low oil came on...she stopped immediately..the car was towed and a blocked frozen PCV vent caused the rear seal to blow...GM is aware of this defect with no intention to reimburse for repairs

I was driving in busy traffic with no warning signs, no check engine lights when all of a sudden my engine lost power an would not restart. I had to get a tow from Kentucky to Michigan to a near by Mechanic where he ran a boroscope. The timing chain failed which then valves hit the pistons. I know this has been a big problem for this year equinox.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the contact noticed that the tachometer was elevated to 4,200 RPM. The contact had not depressed the accelerator; the contact removed her foot from the accelerator pedal and heard an abnormal sound like air rushing into the vehicle coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that the instrument cluster needles went to zero and then started fluctuating. The contact stated lost motive power with the accelerator pedal being depressed. The contact stated that the check engine, stabili-trak, and service power steering warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the rear main seal had blown on three separate occasions. The failure occurred each time at start-up. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the rear main seal was replaced twice, however, on the third failure there were additional damages done to the vehicle, and the contact was informed that the engine and transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was unknown.

high oil consumption, plugged/damaged PCV valve. This is a known problem with 2010-2014 chevy equinox and a special coverage was issued in 2015, but not all affected vehicles were included in this special coverage, but my vehicle was not included even though the model, year, mileage, and specific issue are all the same as other equinox's that do fall under this special coverage. The special coverage needs to be extended to additional vehicles and Chevy will not address this complaint from me directly. The safety issue is that this problem was going on for months, but the check engine light did not go off to alert me of an issue. I noticed a sound when the vehicle was idling and when my car was suddenly not making it to the next scheduled oil change without being extremely low on oil. Had I not noticed the sound or checked my oil level on the spot (which the average consumer may not due) my engine would have seized up on the highway because it was down 3 quarts even though I had a recent oil change. The car does not make it between standard oil change time frames of 3,000-4,000 miles due to the heavy oil consumption from the defective pcv valve.

At 129,000 miles the car threw a p0420 code for the catalytic converter being bad. Yes, it is available for inspection. The car burns up oil like it gets paid for it at about the rate of a quart every other week or so which is a known issue for this type of vehicle but Chevy refuses to issue a recall for this year for some reason. The catalytic converter failure is directly related to the excessive engine oil consumption. The check engine light is illuminated.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

ON THURSDAY, 31 JANUARY I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 CHEVY EQUINOX HOME FROM WORK ON THE HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 60-62 MPH AND HEARD A POPPING NOISE FOLLOWED UP WITH MY CAR MAKING A LOUD NOISE AND THE DISPLAY STATING THE CAR WAS LOW ON OIL AND THE ENGINE WAS POWERING DOWN, TO STOP THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A LOCAL MUFFLER SHOP BEFORE MY CAR DIED. THEY WERE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AFTER SOME DIAGNOSTICS AND STATED THAT THEY HAD SEEN THIS SAME ISSUE RECENTLY WITH MULTIPLE CHEVY EQUINOX'S. THEY ALSO INFORMED ME OF A TSB DATED JAN 22, 2016. THE REF # IS PIP5093B. THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE AND RECOMMENDED THAT I CONTACT CHEVY ABOUT A POSSIBLE RECALL AND TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP. AS SOON AS I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, I TOLD THE GENTLEMAN I HAD A CHEVY EQUINOX WITH A MAJOR OIL LEAK. HE IMMEDIATELY TOLD ME IT WAS THE REAR MAIN SEAL. I ASKED HIM HOW HE KNEW THAT AND HE STATED THAT WITH THE COLD WEATHER WE HAVE BEEN HAVING THAT HE HAD A FEW OTHERS IN THE SHOP CURRENTLY THAT WERE GETTING REPAIRED FOR THE SAME ISSUE. I ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY TYPE OF RECALL OR ANYTHING AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT. I CONTACTED CHEVY AND ASKED ABOUT THE ISSUE. I TRIED TO STRESS MY CONCERN WITH THE FACT THAT THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SO MUCH RECENTLY WITH THE HOPES THAT THIS WOULD BE LOOKED INTO BY CHEVY. A CASE WAS IMMEDIATELY CREATED, AND I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE OFFICIALLY DIAGNOSED BY A CHEVY DEALERSHIP BEFORE ANYTHING COULD BE DONE. SO I HAD MY VEHICLE TOWED TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP SINCE IT WAS NOT DRIVABLE. WHILE THE TOW TRUCK OPERATOR WAS LOADING MY CAR FOR TRANSPORT, HE INFORMED ME THAT HE HAD RECENTLY TOWED MULTIPLE EQUINOX'S RECENTLY DUE TO THE SAME MASSIVE OIL LEAK. THE DEALERSHIP CONTACTED ME AND CONFIRMED THE ISSUE WAS THE REAR MAIN SEAL. I WAS TOLD THAT THE COST OF REPAIRS WOULD BE $2,184.00 + TAX.

The engines in the 2014 equinox has a defect just like The Silverados.. they should have had a class action suit against that as well I've spoke with many ppl who had issues with their 2.4 eco tech engine it bucks at the stop signs cuts off and high fuel consumption

I used to go to Chevy for service and was seeing the same issue and got frustrated.  Starting going to Meineke and they found out that I had an ongoing oil consumption issue.  I contacted Chevy and GM.  They said the vehicle had too much mileage and I tried to explain the issue.  I went back to the Chevy dealership and they didn't find an oil consumption issue.  There was a major lawsuit in other states regarding this as well.  I didn't have all these issues brought to my attention until I went to Meineke and performed my own research.

Something wrong with the fueling system, and have a really bad oil leak, and the car burns oil so fast it’s ridiculous. We’re always having to add oil to the car, atleast a qt at a time.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to be restarted. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The blank warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 17-NA-098; but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 135,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH in cold weather, the vehicle was shuddering. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the work garage, where the contact noticed that a significant amount of oil had leaked onto the ground. A mobile mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the main crankshaft seal had failed because the PCV system had frozen. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance in covering the repair under Technical Service Bulletin: Bulletin No: PIP5093B. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

The contact pulled over and noticed there was a puddle of oil on the roadway. The contact checked underneath the vehicle and noticed oil on the undercarriage. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not covered under TSB: 14882 Special Coverage Adjustment – Plugged PCV Orifice in Intake Manifold. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the repairs were not covered. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000.

Additionally, the vehicle stalled while at a complete stop at a traffic light. The contact stated that his daughter verified that the vehicle had sufficient fuel. The contact's daughter was able to restart the vehicle and continued driving; however, the vehicle stalled while at a complete stop at another traffic light. The low oil pressure warning light was illuminated, and there was smoke entering the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated that his daughter exited the vehicle and went to a Police Station for assistance. The vehicle was pushed to Police Station. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under Technical Service Bulletin Number: 14882. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

WHILE TOWING FOUR DOWN BEHIND MY MOTORHOME, I ENCOUNTERED ROAD CONSTRUCTION. TURNING SLOWLY ON A VERY BUMPY SITE, THE FRONT WHEELS OF THE CAR REFUSED TO FOLLOW THE TRACK OF THE MOHO AND BEGAN A VIOLENT SHAKING MOTION. I HAD TO STOP IN A TRAFFIC LANE ON THE INTERSTATE THEN PROCEED FORWARD AGAIN SLOWLY IN ORDER TO CORRECT THE WOBBLE. IT APPEARS THE ISSUE IS INSUFFICIENT CASTER ON THE FRONT END WHILE BEING TOWED. IT ALSO APPEARS TO ONLY OCCUR WITH THE 4CYL MODEL WITH ELECTRIC STEERING. THE 6CYL MODEL HAS HYDRAULIC STEERING. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RECREATE THE WOBBLE IN A SAFE LOCATION. IF IT OCCURS ON THE HIGHWAY IT'S VERY DANGEROUS AS THE VEHICLE COULD SEPARATE FROM THE TOWING VEHICLE. TWO POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS ARE NOT REMOVING THE FUSE RECOMMENDED IN MY MANUAL WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE ELECTRIC STEERING TO BE ENERGIZED. I'M NOT SURE OF ANY OTHER ISSUES THAT MIGHT RESULT FROM THIS PRACTICE. THE OTHER SOLUTION WOULD BE TO BUNGEE CORD THE STEERING WHEEL TO INCREASE PRESSURE ON THE FRONT END. AGAIN, NOT SURE OF CONSEQUENCES. I'M LOOKING FOR A PERMANENT SOLUTION SUCH AS A WIRING HARNESS/JUMPER WHICH WOULD STILL ALLOW THE FUSE TO BE PULLED YET KEEP THE STEERING ENERGIZED. CHRYSLER HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THE JEEP CHEROKEE. I AM HOPING THE EQUINOX IS SIMILAR IN CONSTRUCTION AND THIS IS A SOLUTION. I'VE BEEN TOWING FOR OVER 40 YEARS WITH 85,000 MILES ON THIS COACH. I was driving and the vehicle suddenly seemed sluggish. A warning came on the dash stating low oil pressure and the car began shaking wildly. I quickly pulled over and a warning to turn the engine off appeared and all the dash lights began to illuminate. I turned off the engine and had the car towed. I had it looked at and was told there was no oil in the car (I have regular oil changes) and that a faulty PVC valve was the culprit. I received no warning that the oil was running low in the car. There were never any oil spots in my driveway indicating a leak, this all happened suddenly as I was driving and now my engine is damaged. I’ve had issues with oil consumption in this vehicle before and in my research it appears this is a common issue with this vehicle make and model and Chevy doesn’t appear to be interested in rectifying it.

I live in Michigan and my vehicle is a 2014 Chevy Equinox 2.4 liter with 93351 miles on it. Was driving vehicle home when all the dash lights illuminated and vehicle stalled. Towed vehicle to my house, called my mechanic told him what had happened and had him take a look at it. He had found that the rear main oil seal was leaking quite badly. With the recent bad weather we had with temps being quite cold my mechanic did some research and found a service bulletin (14882 special coverage adjustment-plugged pcv orifice in intake manifold) which in turn causes the rear main seal to blow out and start leaking. I reached out to some local dealerships and they claim my vehicle is not covered under that service campaign bulletin according to my VIN although year, make, mode, and engine does. This should very easily be able to become a recall for GM.

ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION. VEHICLE IS CONSUMING 4 QUARTS OF OIL PER WEEK. THIS RESULTS IN A LOUD VEHICLE, AND SHAKING DURING A STOP. THERE IS NO LEAK IN THE OIL CANISTER, FOR I HAVE SPENT $1100 ON IT RECENTLY. THE ENGINE IS BURNING THE OIL AT AN UNREASONABLE RATE.

2014 EQUINOX. LEFT TRAIL AND PUDDLE OF OIL UP TO AND INTO MY CUSTOMER'S DRIVEWAY. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED AND PER THE REPAIR FACILITY AND THEN LOCAL CHEVY DEALER "THIS IS A KNOW PROBLEM". THE PCV VALVE STUCK DUE TO MOISTURE IN THE ENGINE WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL TO BLOW OUT. 112K MILES AND PERFECT UP TO THIS POINT. MY VIN # PER DEALERSHIP IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY (AS MANY ONLINE HAVE ALSO COMPLAINED).

BOUGHT THE CAR IN DEC 2018. JUST GOT THE OIL CHANGED AND MECHANIC SAID THE SEALS WERE LEAKING REALLY BAD. OIL WAS ALL UNDERNEATH MY CAR. ALSO MY DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LIGHT KEPT GOING OUT AND MELTING THE WIRING. THEN MY POWER SEATS STOPPED WORKING. BOTTOM LINE IS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WITH MY GRANDKIDS AND MY AIR WENT OUT BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND ALL OTHER LIGHTS ABS, ETC. I COULD HARDLY STEER THE CAR OFF THE ROAD.

I OWN A 2014 EQUINOX IT HAS 103,000. THE CODE WAS FOR A POSITION ACTUATOR SENSOR ( TIMING VARIABLE SOLENOID). I REPLACED IT, SIMPLE FIX. ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON. WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS I REALIZE MY VEHICLE IDLES ON THE LOWER SIDE.MY VEHICLE ALMOST STALLED OUT WHILE IN A DRIVE THRU ONE DAY. ONCE YOU PUT SOME GAS TO IT SEEMS OK. PROBLEM GOES AWAY FOR A WHILE. THEN FINALLY ONE DAY I GO TO LEAVE WORK AND MY STABILITRAK MESSAGE POPS UP AND TAKES MANY TIMES TO START. MY LIGHTS ACT WEIRD. CAR GET STUCK TURNING OVER AND WENT TO LIMP MODE. I FINALLY GET IT TO COME OUT OF THIS SOMEHOW AND MAKE MY LONG COMMUTE HOME, BUT I CAN TELL THE POWER IN MY CAR IS LACKING.NO MESSAGES JUST A ENGINE LIGHT WITH THE SAME CODES. PARK IT, PICK IT UP THAT NIGHT. STARTS UP LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG. I DECIDE TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC. FIRST VISIT WAS A $33 PART THAT COST ME $400 WORTH OF LABOR. THEY DIAGNOSED MY CAR WITH THEIR COMPUTER, NONE OF MY SENSORS ARE BAD. ENGINE LIGHT STATES OTHER WISE. CAR DOES ALL THE SYMPTOMS AGAIN ALONG WITH LOUD ENGINE NOISE. TURNS OUT MY TIMING CHAIN IS BAD (1,614 REPAIR). 24 HRS LATER. WON'T START FOR ME, FINALLY GET IT ON. ENGINE LIGHT ON, IDLE ISSUES SO ON. AS OF 2 DAYS AFTER THAT. ENGINE LIGHT GOES OFF LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. MECHANIC STATED I HAD NO DAMAGE TO MOTOR AND ALL LOOKS GOOD. AFTER THE 4TH TIME IN LESS THEN 2 MILES OF TRAFFIC THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CODE THAT WAS DISPLAYED WAS FOR THE VVT SOLENOID AND SO I HAD IT REPLACED ALONG WITH AN OIL CHANGE. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT OIL CAN EFFECT THE VVT SOLENOID SO I SHOULD CHANGE THE OIL FREQUENTLY FOR THE NEXT YEAR. EACH TIME I DID AN OIL CHANGE I STARTED NOTICING THAT LESS OIL WAS DRAINING OUT THEN WHAT WAS PUT IN. AFTER THE YEAR I WENT BACK TO FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGES AT 6000 MILES APART BUT THEN HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE DRIVING ROUGH AND MAKING WEIRD NOISES 8 MONTHS LATER. ALONG WITH MISSING OIL ON THE CHANGE BETWEEN. NOT LONG AFTER THIS MY WIFE WAS DRIVING IN BOSTON TRAFFIC WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS NEARLY HIT BEFORE SHE COULD GET TO A SAFE PLACE WHERE I WAS ABLE TO TOW IT BACK HOME. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND GAVE THE SAME CODE FOR THE VVT. I REPLACED THIS FOR A SECOND TIME AND WHILE REPLACING I NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE OIL WAS EXTREMELY LOW (LESS THEN A QUART CAME OUT). I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC FOR FURTHER TESTING AND HE SAID THAT AT NO POINT DURING HIS TEST PERIOD DID THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT EVER ILLUMINATE. I HAVE BEEN ADDING ALMOST 2 QUARTS EVERY 5-8 HUNDRED MILES JUST TO KEEP UP WITH IT. I FOUND SEVERAL OTHER EQUINOX OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE SO I CALLED THE LOCAL CHEVY CENTER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE ARE A FEW COMPLAINTS THAT THEY SEE FROM EQUINOX OWNERS WITH THE 2.4L ENGINES BURNING OIL HOWEVER, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND THAT IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I MENTIONED THE SERVICE BULLETINS THAT I FOUND ABOUT THESE ISSUES AND HE JUST SAID THAT THEY DON'T MEAN ANYTHING AND THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS.

THE VEHICLE WILL STALL WHENEVER STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN AND IN DRIVE. HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL TO KEEP RPM AT NORMAL LEVEL, OTHERWISE IT WILL GO DOWN TO 500 RPM OR SHUT OFF. VEHICLE RATTLES AND SHAKES WHEN DRIVING. CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY, REPLACED O2 SENSOR, HAD THE ENGINE REBUILT 6 MONTHS AGO BECAUSE OF A RECALL. THIS IS HIGHLY UNSAFE, UNRELIABLE AND ABSOLUTELY NOT OK FOR A CAR WITH 87,000 MILES. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUS FROM READING THROUGH DIFFERENT FORUMS ON THE INTERNET THAT A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME EXACT ISSUE AT DIFFERENT MILEAGES.

I GOOGLED MY ISSUE AND WAS ABLE TO GET HOME SAFELY BY PUTTING CAR IN NEUTRAL EVERY TIME I HAD TO STOP. A CHIP WAS REPLACED. THIS OCCURS IF I'M TURNING OR BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE. SOMETIMES EVEN AFTER WAITING 15 SECONDS TO RESTART CAR, IT HAS TROUBLE TURNING OVER. I LET SIT FOR ANOTHER 15 SECONDS AND IT'S FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS BUT THE CHECK ENGINE REMAINS ON BUT WILL BE OFF IN THE MORNING. DUE TO THE BUMPER BEINV SO LOW IT CONSTANTLY HANGS UP ONCU ON CURBS. 2 WEEKS AFTER OWNING MY 2014 EQUINOX I PARKED AND EENT TI TO A STORE. I HEARD NOTHING WHEN I PARKED BUT AS I BACKED UP I HEARD A SCRAPPING SOUND. UPON INSPECTION I FOUND THE BUMPER HAD BEEN STUCK ON THE CONCRETE PARKING BLOCK. BECAUSE THE WHOLE FRONT IS ONE PIECE IT HAD PULLED AWAY FROM THE LIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THIS PIECE IS ATTACHED MAINLY BY LITTLE PLASTIC TEETH THAT FIT INTO LITTLE PLASTIC SQUARES. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WOULD COST $400 TO REPLACE THE BUMPER BECAUSE THE LITTLE "TEETH" HAD BROKEN OFF. I COULD PUSH IT TOGETHER WITH VERY LITTLE EFFORT. I PURCHASED A 2014 CHEVROLET EQUINOX IN SEPTEMBER 2015. IT HAD 10 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT RIGHT OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS LESS THAN 1700 MILES ON IT BECAUSE IT'S PARKED IN THE GARAGE 90% OF THE TIME. IN NOVEMBER 2017 I OPENED THE VENT PART OF THE SUN ROOF AND HEARD A LOUD CRACK SOUND. WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE IT, IT WOULDN'T CLOSE. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT IT BROKE BECAUSE THERE WAS DIRT IN IT. IT COST ME $1,000 TO REPLACE THE WHOLE MECHANISM INCLUDING THE WINDOW BECAUSE THEY DON'T MAKE PARTS FOR IT. MY QUESTION TO THE DEALER AND CHEVY WAS 'HOW DOES DIRT GET INTO A SUNROOF THAT IS CLOSED ALL THE TIME? THE RESPONSE HAS BEEN I DON'T KNOW. I have had several codes pop up on my Equinox, such as P0016, P0017, P0089 and P228D. All of these codes are between the Crankshaft position, variable timing position and high pressure fuel issues. I almost wrecked my SUV because of these 3 factors and I have seen thousands of videos on YouTube with other people having the same issues. This is beyond dangerous to be out on the road driving and these codes pop up causing "Reduce Speed" warnings and "Stabilitrak". This will be the 2nd time I've had to replace the Crankshaft position sensor and Variable Timing Solenoid, along with a brand new timing kit that I had put on right after I bought the car over a year ago, that is now in need of repair. There has to be some way that Chevrolet can fix these issues for those of us who buy their vehicles. They are supposed to be safe, dependable, durable and last longer than what they do before they start having all of these issues. I have had so many problems with the last 2 Equinox's that I have owned and each one of them have all had the same error messages pop up within a year or less of driving them, some have lasted over a year. I as a vehicle owner should not be held responsible for these kinds of issues going on in a vehicle that I still owe for. Chevrolet needs to understand and take care of their customers to prevent accidents from happening, vehicles from breaking down after short periods of time and replace/repair these malfunctions at their cost so that people like me don't keep going out here spending hundreds of dollars for the same fix after a year or 2 replacing, and it sometimes still not even fix the problem. There are so many others out here with the same exact issues that I am having, P0016, P0017, P0089 and 228D codes all dealing with fuel, vehicle speed, Stabilitrak, etc. Something has to be done about this and there has to be a way where they can be fixed for longer than 50,000 miles

My vehicle has all symptoms of the timing chain slipping or being loose. Just as millions of others who owns a chevy equinox with a 2.4 motor. Drives like crap, stalls out unexpectedly, which is very dangerous, exhaust fumes enter cabin of vehicle, toxicity to lungs. Extreme fuel intake consumption, erotic idle issues, extreme oil consumption all these issues have progressively gotten worse. This is very much a safety hazard in more than ONE way! GM needs to be held responsible and FIX THEIR problem selling such faulty and pitiful parts to their customers. After this I will NEVER own a chevy again. HIGHLY disappointed! Fixing a timing chain issue is NOT cheap, nor should it be the responsibility of any chevy equinox owner seeing as how there are so many other people who share the SAME issue, like duh. obviously, this is a manufacturer defect. HOW HAS THIS NOT BEEN RECALLED YET??????? This issue is a safety risk hazard to the customers of this vehicle. Obviously, the timing chains in these 2.4 motors of all years of equinox's are defective and GMC are the ones who need to be held responsible and fix THEIR mistakes, this is ridiculous, how has a recall not happened, there are millions of people with the SAME COMPLAINT???

MY HUSBAND IS A DECORATED MARINE CORPS WAR VETERAN WHO HAS SURVIVE THREE TOURS IN AFGHANISTAN, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT A HUMDRUM COMMUTE TO WORK ALMOST COST HIM HIS LIFE. started the car .i noticed the their was no door chime with the door open, no radio , radio display dear, no seat belt warning chime, no rear backup display camera. i drove car down to corner stopped and made right turn and everything was all right ,everything worked OK. this morning got into the car and no door chime,no seat belt chime no radio or display no back up camera, no on star . called my friend over and he checked the fuses .he checked fuse #9 radio fuse OK except for little tarnish on legs,checked display fuse #15 checked OK tarnish on fuse legs, checked the amplifier fuse #31 checked OK. but he replaced the fuses anyway, with new fuses. started car same problem as above o difference , one can drive the car lights ,turn signal bulbs OK

While driving down the interstate at approximately 70 mph the equinox would locks would start to cycle and at the same time the service stabiltrak and service power steering line would come on and the vehicle would drastically slow to around 30-40 mph, almost causing an accident. This is a well known issue with Chevrolet and they have not tried to resolve the issue. This is going to cause major issues when someone gets in a wreck. There is no definite fix out there for this issue and Chevrolet needs to be held accountable for this and fix this issue.

THE STABILI TRACK IS MESSED UP. WHEN U GIVE IT GAS IT JUST BOGGS THE STABILI TRACK LIGHY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. THIS ALL HAPPEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEED WHICH MADE THE CAR JUST ABOUT UNCONTROLLABLE. NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. IT HAS BEEN ON OTHER MODELS

The camshaft sensors have been replaced when the code POoo14 made the engine light Activate. I'm worried that the timing chain could possibly cause an accident if it seizes the engine. I have under 73,000 miles on a 2014 Chevy equinox. Please advise Thank you

A WEEK AFTER AN OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION ON 6/12/2018 CHEVROLET EQUINOX, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY VEHICLE SHUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND WHEN I'M PARKING. I TOOK IT TO AUTOZONE FOR A FREE DIAGNOSTIC READING BUT NOTHING COMES UP EXCEPT A SUGGESTION TO CHANGE THE SOLENOID. THE TECH SUGGESTED I ADD STP GAS TREATMENT. AFTER THE FIRST BOTTOM AND DRIVING 200 PLUS MILES OUT OF STATE, THE LIGHT WENT OFF BRIEFLY. I'VE ADDED 2 MORE BOTTLES OF GAS TREATMENT AND DROVE BACK HOME BUT MY VEHICLES IS STILL SHUTTING OFF AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON. I WAS IN BALTIMORE ON 7/12, AND MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF AT 3 TRAFFIC LIGHTS. I WAS FORTUNATE THAT THE PEOPLE BEHIND ME DIDN'T RESEND ME. I WAS IN NJ THIS WEEKEND AND IT SHUT OFF AT MULTIPLE TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS. I'M TAKING IT TO AUTOZONE TOMORROW TO GET A PRINTOUT OF THE DIAGNOSTICS THEN TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. HOWEVER, MY FEAR IS THEY WILL CHARGE ME FOR WORK THAT WON'T FIX THE ISSUE. WHY HASN'T M DON'T A RECALL FOR THE 2014 MODEL? WHEN I PURCHASED THIS CAR THIS CAR NEW I NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WAS VERY EASY TO TURN. I HAD A DISCUSSION WITH A MANAGEMENT PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS NOT SATISFIED. I THEN WROTE A LETTER TO YOUR PRESIDENT AND I DON'T REMEMBER GETTING A REPLY. THE PROBLEM WITH THE STEERING IS THAT IT TURNS WAY TOO EASILY AND DOES SO AT ALL SPEEDS. I HAVE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS RUN OFF THE ROAD BECAUSE OF THE LIGHT STEERING. I DID SO AGAIN TODAY AND WAS ABLE TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD WITHOUT HITTING ANYTHING, BUT I DID HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A BUBBLE IN MY RIGHT REAR TIRE WHICH WILL TAKE ME TIME AND MONEY TO HAVE FIXED. I HAVE HAD A NUMBER OF CARS BUT NONE HAVE HAD THIS TYPE OF STEERING PROBLEM. NOW I AM AWARE THAT MOST CHEVROLET/S HAD THIS TYPE OF STEERING IN 2014 AND ALTHOUGH IT MAY NOT BE A DIRECT DESIGN PROBLEM, IT CERTAINLY MAKES THE CAR MORE DIFFICULT TO DRIVE, ESPECIALLY AT HIGH SPEEDS .I WISH THAT THE CARE WOULDN'T DO THIS, AND I KNOW IT IS A LITTLE LATE TO ASK YOU TO MAKE THE CA AS EASY TO DRIVE AS THE OTHER 59 VEHICLES THAT I HAVE OWNED.

I ASKED MECHANIC TO ROTATE MY TIRES. THEY REPORTED THAT A MAJORITY OF LUG NUTS HAD DEEP CRACKS AND METAL WAS SEPARATING ON THE LUG NUTS. ONE LUG NUT ON FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL WAS FROZEN ON AND SHEARED IN HALF WHEN ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE. I HAD TO TAKE VEHICLE TO CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. THE DEALER ADVISED ME THAT IF I DROVE THE CAR IN THAT CONDITION IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE TIRE IF I GOT A FLAT. ON 12/18/2018 I RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I CHANGE ALL THE LUG NUTS DUE TO CRACKS. THEY ALSO ADVISED ME THAT THE WRENCH THAT CAME WITH THE CAR WOULD NOT FIT THE BROKEN LUG NUT AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE TIRE ON THE ROAD. THE BROKE THE STUD IN DRILLING OUT THE LUG NUT. THE TOTAL BILL CAME TO 6 HOURS LABOR $720, 20 LUG NUTS $179.80, ONE STUD $5.99 PLUS TAX FOR $937 TOTAL. I BELIEVE THEIR IS SAFETY ISSUE WITH THESE LUG NUTS. THEY ARE MADE FROM TWO TYPES OF METAL THAT WITH USE APPEAR TO START TO SEPARATE WITH LARGE CRACKS IN THE CHROME METAL ON THE AXIS WHERE THE TWO METALS APPEAR TO JOIN. IN MY SITUATION IT WOULD HAVE POSED A DEFINITE ROAD HAZARD IF I HAD ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE THE TIRE AND THE BOLT SHEARED IN HALF ALONG THE AXIS OF WHERE THE METALS JOINED. I WOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT IN A SITUATION WHERE IS WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE TIRE ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CAR WOULD HAVE HAD TO BE TOWED AS A TOW TRUCK OPERATOR WOULD HAVE FOUND IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE TIRE.

ON 275 IN TAMPA GOING 75 MPH SUDDENLY THE DASH READS LOSS OF POWER AS YOU FEEL THE CAR DRASTICALLY SLOW TO A CRAWL , ME SHOUTING TO MY STUNNED HUSBAND "PULL OVER PULL OVER" THANK GOD WE WERE IN THE LEFT LANE AS THAT'S WHERE THE BREAKDOWN LANE WAS. AFTER TWO DAYS THE REPAIR WAS DONE AND STATED AS "ECM SHORTED" FOUND ECM SHORTED INTERNALLY OFF PIN 73 1 SHORTED OUT UNDER HOOD FUSE BLOCK..THIS IS A 2014 CHEVY EQUINOX WITH17K MILES.

THE THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHTS WITH THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I LOST ENGINE POWER AND WAS "REDUCED POWER." THIS WAS WHILE DRIVING SLOWLY GETTING UP TO SPEED. HAPPENED AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER WHEN GOING ABOUT 40 MPH AND I COULD NOT GO ANY FASTER, I HAD TO PULL OVER AND STOP DRIVING. PARKED THE CAR FOR 3 HOURS THEN IT WAS FINE. STILL NOT CLEAR AS TO WHAT CAUSED THIS. ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON.

I TURNED MY VEHICLE OFF TO GET GAS AND WHEN I STARTED MY VEHICLE BACK UP, THE HEATING, AIR CONDITIONING, DEFROST, RADIO CONTROLS AND THE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS HAD ALL BECOME INOPERATIVE. EVERYTHING STAYED INOPERATIVE FOR 2 DAYS. ON THE THIRD DAY, I WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE AND STARTED MY VEHICLE UP BUT THEN REALIZED I FORGOT SOMETHING AND TURNED MY CAR OFF. I RETURNED TO MY VEHICLE TO RESTART IT BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS AND RADIO CONTROLS SUDDENLY RETURNED WORKING BUT EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HAD BEEN INOPERATIVE (THE DEFROST, A/C AND HEATING), STAYED INOPERATIVE AND MY VEHICLE NOW SHOWED THE MESSAGE "SERVICE POWER STEERING" UNDER THE GAS GAUGE. I ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE A DAY LATER BUT NOTHING HAD CHANGED AND IT WOULD NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN ANYTHING HAD BECOME INOPERATIVE ON THE VEHICLE.

The contact stated that upon shifting from reverse(R) to drive(D), the rearview camera remained engaged for an extended period. Additionally, the contact stated that while reversing on one occasion, the failure recurred, causing the rear end of the vehicle to strike an unoccupied parked vehicle. There was no injury sustained. The rear end of the vehicle sustained minor damage. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.

Service Stabilitrak, Power Steering light, Check Engine light. Door locks lock and unlock continuously. Randomly has No acceleration, causes jolting at a low speed. Available for inspection asap. The code “UO101” comes up in a diagnostic test. Overall, the car basically shuts down while driving at no specific speed. Safety of myself and others is at risk because this can cause an accident resulting in being rear ended/collision with car and other vehicles as it randomly happens when driving. I took my car to the dealership on 3/5/25 and expressed this issue and they could not diagnose it as it was not physically happening after I dropped it off to them. They had the car for 4 days and couldn’t duplicate the issue. They gave back the car and told me there was no issue with the vehicle and it is continuing to happen again. They told me to get proof of the incident on video when it happens again. (I was able to get a video today 4/3/25) There is no warning before this event happens. It will go away and not happen for a few days and then the next day it is not drivable. I am concerned for the safety of myself and others and would like to find the cause of this once and for all. I’d like for the dealership to not send me away without a reason why this is happening or fixing my vehicle.

Service Stabilitrak & Power Steering light comes on after initial start up or in the middle of driving intermittently cause car to jolt back & forth while driving which can cause an accident if someone or car is near, could hear that car was attempting to lock & unlock doors while errors appear on dash. When changing gears a jolt and loud knock sounds occurs, now check engine light appears, this has caused a new issue now code states to replace transmission valve body assembly…Unable to locate part anywhere & I’m not clear what may be causing issue since it happens intermittently. Changed battery, msgs stopped appearing on dash for a week. Boom hopes were high now msgs are there again….Total nightmare. I just bought this car!!!

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the resonator. The contact stated that the failure persisted and the vehicle started chugging while driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle warranty was expired. The failure mileage was 159,000.

The contact stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated constantly. Additionally, the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. After inspecting the vehicle, there was no oil leak found, nor was there a burning oil odor detected. The contact stated that she had to top off the oil on a weekly basis. My son was driving on I75 and University Dr in MI and all of a sudden there was a loud noise when everything shut down-power steering, hazard lights, etc and with no dashboard emergency warning light. He is strong and was able to get it to the side of the road. And he could have been stuck in fast moving traffic. The dealer Moran Chevy said it was a problem with the main rear valve PVC? Getting water in it and freezing causing engine to be destroyed. Online a number of complaints with same problem. TSB 14882 GM replaced some VIN number engines but not others including my Equinox.

THINK THIS IS BS I HAVE OIL CHANGED EVERY 2000 MILES OR 3 MONTHS WITH CASTROL DEXOS 5W30 AND LUCAS OIL STABILIZER. SOUNDS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE COVERED BY YHE MANUFACTURER.

FRONT CRANKSHAFT SEAL HAS A LEAK THAT SPRAYS ONTO SERPENTINE BELT CAUSING BELT FAILURE AND MAJOR OIL LEAK. THE SEAL HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE PROBLEM IS OCCURRING AGAIN. THIS WAS A "COMMON ISSUE" IN THESE MODELS AND I WAS TOLD I MUST PAY 1,800$ TO REPAIR IT AS THERE ARE NO RECALLS OUT ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL. WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, WHEN THE MALFUNCTION OCCURRED AND SENT THE VEHICLE INTO REDUCED ENGINE POWER MODE. WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE VEHICLE STARTED TO QUICKLY LOSE SPEED DOWN AS IT HAPPENED JUST PRIOR TO GOING UP A HILL. HAD TO TRY AND GET VEHICLE OFF TO SHOULDER OF HIGHWAY, ACCELERATION PEDAL WAS COMPLETELY INOPERABLE DURING THIS TIME. CALL WAS PLACED TO GM REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND MY CONCERNS THAT IT COULD HAVE LEAD TO A CRASH, INJURY OR WORSE. GM HAD NO INTEREST IN COVERING THIS PROBLEM UNDER ANY WARRANTY AND DID NOT SEEM CONCERNED AT ALL WITH THE ISSUE OR MY CONCERNS THAT THE PROBLEM COULD HAVE LEAD TO A CRASH, INJURY OR WORSE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT CAUGHT FIRE SOMETIME BETWEEN 3 P.M. ON 8/10/14 AND 8 A.M. ON 8/11/14 WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS UNOCCUPIED, PARKED, AND LOCKED. THE FIRE BURNED A LARGE HOLE IN THE SEAT. CHARRED DEBRIS FROM THE BURNED SEAT WAS FOUND ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR MAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A CHEVROLET DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AS SOON AS THE BURNED SEAT WAS DISCOVERED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A "SEAT FIRE CAUSED BY AN INTERNAL HEAT SOURCE" AND OFFERED TO REPLACE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR AND SEAT CUSHION. *TR

WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL LEFT OR RIGHT AT LOW SPEED OR STOPPED, GROANING OR RUBBING NOISE IS EMITTED FROM FRONT TIRES. CAR IS 1 MONTH OLD, HAS APPROX. 5000 MILES ON IT NOW AND PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES AFTER 2 ATTEMPTS FOR DEALER TO REPAIR IT. DURING FILL UPS, THE GAS PUMP WOULD CLICK/STOP AND FUEL WOULD SPLASH BACK OUT OF TANK AND DOWN SIDE OF CAR. THIS HAPPENED WHETHER YOU SET THE AUTOMATIC FILL UP SWITCH ON THE FUEL PUMP, OR IF MANUALLY FILLING THE CAR MYSELF. 2 COMPLAINTS LATER, THE WHOLE GAS TANK HAD TO BE REPLACED. 2 DAYS IN A ROW, ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THE SMELL OF BURNING PLASTIC AND/OR ELECTRICAL WIRES HAS BEEN NOTICED INSIDE VEHICLE, AND IS MORE DEFINED WHEN OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE AND SMELLING ENGINE AREA. *TR
