AIRBAG LIT STAYS LIGHT AL THE TIME,WAS TOLD IT WAS A BAD SENSOR,THERE WAS NEVER A RECALL FOR IT. YOU WOULD THINK THERE WOULD BE SINCE ITS A SAFETY FEATURE 'AIR BAG LIGHT'. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS LIT TOO, THAT HAS BEEN ON SINCE MY CAR HAD A TUNEUP DONE WAS ALSO TOLD THAT WAS A BAD SENSOR . THE CLOCK SPRING IN MY VOYAGER IS FAILING. THE HORN NO LONGER WORKS AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. CHRYSLER HAS RECALLED THIS MINIVAN BEFORE BUT DID NOT EXTEND THE RECALL TO THE 2002 YEAR. I AM CONCERNED THAT I COULD BE IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY, BUT NOW REMAINS LIT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE SENSOR SWITCH WAS DEFECTIVE. THE MECHANIC ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE INTERCONNECTED, WHICH MEANS WHEN ONE IS NOT WORKING, THE OTHER ALSO DOES NOT WORK. THE ENTIRE AIR BAG UNIT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WILL BE TAKEN TO THE DEALER IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS FOR THE REPAIR. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 48,200 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.

TL* - THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. THERE WAS SAFETY RECALL 04V386000 FOR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THAT THIS RECALL DID NOT APPLY TO THIS VEHICLE DUE TO THE VIN. HE BELIEVED THAT BECAUSE IT WAS THE SAME PROBLEM THAT FAILED IN THIS VEHICLE AND THE RECALL SHOULD APPLY. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL IT MADE A GROWLING NOISE, AND HE NOTICED THAT IT HAPPENED MOSTLY AT LOWER SPEEDS. WHEN HE ACCELERATED A LITTLE THE NOISE STOPPED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS WAS AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE OVER A PERIOD OF MONTHS. THE NOISE WAS NOTICEABLY WORSE DURING THE WINTER. HE HEARD THIS SOUND AT 0-5 MPH AND 5-10 MPH. RACK AND PINION FAILED AND WAS REPLACED WITH LESS THEN 60,000 MILES. THIS IS WAY TO EARLY AND NEEDS TO BE DETERMINED IF THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM OR AM I JUST UNLUCKY. THERE WAS NO INCIDENT JUST REPAIR EXPENSE SINCE IT WAS FIXED BEFORE COMPLETE FAILURE. *JB

OWNED 2002CHRYSLER MINI VAN..HAD TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE EXTRA HARD FOR IT TO ENGAGE IN PARK AND IF I'M IN A HURRY AND DIDN'T STEP ON THE BRAKE EXTRA HARD IT WON'T STAY IN PARK. IN FACT ALL OF THE LETTERS WILL HAVE SQUARES AROUND THEM INDICATING IT'S NOT IN PARK. A COUPLE OF TIMES IT STARTED MOVING ON IT'S OWN. LUCKILY I WAS CLOSE BY AND CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CHRYSLER SERVICE PERSON THAT SERVICES MY CAR, AND I'M TOLD THAT'S THE WAY IT IS. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO JERK AND THEN STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY DETERMINED THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED AND REQUIRES FURTHER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED.

VAN MADE RATTLING NOISE WHEN IN GEAR. VAN LATER MADE WHINING NOISE. DEALER REPLACED TORQUE CONVERTER AND FLEX PLATE. AFTER LOSING USE OF VAN FOR 4 DAYS, THE NEXT DAY, THE WHINING NOISE RECURRED. THE SECOND DAY AFTER I HAD IT BACK, IN ADDITION TO WHINING NOISE, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FAILED. IT ONLY MOVED THROUGH FIRST, SECOND, MAYBE THIRD GEAR. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE BRAKE SYSTEM SPONTANEOUSLY FAILED. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY TREMENDOUS PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER FOR THE BRAKES TO FUNCTION. SHE TOOK HER VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEY CLEANED THE BRAKE PADS WITH THE AIR LINE BLOWER, ADDED SWAY BAR LINKS, AND REPLACED THE BRAKE SHOES AND DRUMS. SHORTLY AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE, THE BRAKES FAILED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER STATED THAT HER FAILURE WAS AN ISOLATED ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT HER VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06E022000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC); THEREFORE, THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.

2002 VOYAGER REAR BRAKES FAILED. CONSUMER PULLED OUT OF PARKING LOT AND HEARD A LOUD BANG, CONSUMER THEN FELT LOSS OF CONTROL AND BRAKING DIFFICULTIES. *TS TWO DAYS LATER THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM WAS REBUILT BY REPLACING THE PLATE - REAR DRUM BRAKE (2), SHOE KIT, CYLINDER, FLUID AND DRUM. THE CONSUMER REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM BECAUSE THE CONSUMER FEELS THAT THE MANUFACTURER KNEW OF THE PROBLEM BUT FAILED TO NOTIFY HIM. THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS PROBLEM 05-003-05. *NM

THE REAR BRAKES (BOTH) OF MY 2002 VOYAGER FAILED - WAS MAKING LOUD MECHANICAL NOISE, WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE IS RELEASED IT DID NOT RELEASE THE BRAKE (THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE FOR FEW MINUTES), MAKE LOUD NOISE WHILE BRAKING. THE DEALER TOLD ME ICE AND WATER GOT INSIDE THE BRAKE DRUMS AND FROZEN THE PADS, EVENTUALLY THE WHOLE BRAKE SYSTEM FAILED. THERE IS SERVICE BULLETIN #05-003-05 WHICH EXACTLY DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM AND HOW TO FIX IT. THE PLATE-REAR DRUM BRAKE (2), SHOE KIT, CYLINDER, FLUID, AND DRUMS WERE REPLACED AT A COST OF $627.16 INCLUDING LABOR AND TAXES. I BELIEVE THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE CONSIDERED SERIOUS AND BE A 'RECALL' SO THAT THE PROBLEM IS FIXED FREE OF CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER. I CALLED CHRYSLER AT 800 992 1997 TO CLAIM REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIR WORK. THE CHRYSLER AGENT TOLD ME THAT THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY FOR A LONG TIME THERE WILL NOT BE ANY ASSISTANCE. *JB

TL* - THE CONTACT RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL 2W125384-F23 FOR LOWER BALL JOINTS FROM DAIMLER CHRYSLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND CHRYSLER HAS TOLD HER THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THAT THEY ONLY GET ENOUGH PARTS TO DO 1 CAR A WEEK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SHE MAKES A RIGHT TURN, THE CAR FEELS AS THOUGH SHE HAS RUN OVER SOMETHING.

ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WE HAVE FOUND OUR INFANT DAUGHTER'S SEAT BELT UNBUCKLED WITH NO EXPLANATION AS TO THE CAUSE SINCE WE ARE OBSESSIVE ABOUT SEAT-BELT USE. WE HAVE GEN 3 SEATBELTS ON THE REAR SEATS OF OUR 2002 VOYAGER MINIVAN. WE BELIEVE THE BASE TO HER CAR SEAT MAY BE ENOUGH TO UNBUCKLE HER EASILY OPENED SEAT BELT. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS! PLEASE RECALL THE CHRYSLER GEN3 SEATBELTS. THEY HAVE BEEN TESTED BY INDEPENDANT ORGANIZATIONS AND HAVE BEEN SHOWN TO UNLATCH DURING TESTS. THE GEN3 SEATBELT DESIGN FAILS THE STANDARD AUTO INDUSTRY TEST. THE NEW SAFETY BUCKLE, THE GEN4 MEETS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD. THE GEN3 BELT SHOULD BE RECALLED AND REPLACED BY THE GEN4 BELT. MY WIFE AND I JUST BOUGHT A 2002 CHRYSLER VOYAGER THAT HAS THE GEN3 BELTS IN THE REAR SEATS. OUR FIRST BABY IS DUE THIS JUNE. WE ARE VERY CONCERNED THAT IF OUR BABY IS IN A CHILD SAFETY SEAT RESTRAINED BY A GEN3 BELT, THAT IT MIGHT COME UNLATCHED DURING AN ACCIDENT AND INJURE OR KILL OUR BABY. I had over 40 Complaints with NHTSA. FUEL LEAK - vehicle can go on fire,fumes intoxicating in vehicle through vents..Every mechanic," VEHICLE CAN GO ON FIRE." 2.Electrical- All gages would go crazy while driving - had no idea what speed I was going. 3.3X All Brake fluid leaked out while driving - no brakes 4.FAILED INSPECTION REPEATEDLY - ENGINE LIGHT ALWAYS ON AND AIRBAG LIGHT 5. LARGE EVAP Leak, Small EVAP leak 6. Vehicle slipped out of Gear 7. Brakes - hydraulic, bushels, bearings Every imaginable problem. Purchased vehicle with 20,00 miles ONLY GOT TO PUT 50,000.Repairs cost more then price of vehicle.I am disabled, was to be mommy van. Can't tell you how many," Recall Request,," numbers were given. NO ONE DID A THING TO HELP. FCA voided Warranty without telling me. Told me to sell vehicle to someone else despite reporting with proof can go on fire. Fuel Rail unrepairable due to Recall.Meaning I was sold vehicle with Recalled part. Followed Warranty booklet, protocols. SO MUCH RUST MORE THEN UNDERCARRIAGE THROUGH VEHICLE. MECHANIC wrote," TOO DANGEROUS TOO REPAIR." DANGEROUS VEHICLE All I used it for was to get to medical appointments. You would think Happy to take my Disability money but do not care if I burn death in vehicle or child. Now just Stranded. Will never trust anything with Chrysler name on it. Basically, purchased a moving Trauma. This vehicle was purchased with 20,000 miles for $9,000, along with an extended warranty from Mopar for 10 years or 100,000 miles. This vehicle failed INSPECTION numerous years due too engine light being on. Large EVAP Leak and Small EVAP leak. 2. Fuel pump leaking gas. Told not to drive can go on fire.NO PARTS due too Recall before I purchased the vehicle. None in the U.S. AND CANADA. 3.3x while driving had no BRAKES. 4. AIR BAG LIGHT ALWAYS ON. Told it wont deploy fixed it back on. 5. Dials on dashboard go crazy, low to hi over and over. No idea what speed or gears as the gears get a square around them and move back and fourth. 6.lights- barely visible, go on and off 7. Child car seat belt does not work properly. Had to create a makeshift one. Parts replaced to date: Catalytic Converter Part infront of Catalytic converter Hydraulic master brake cylinder. bearings2x Now car in drive way with NO BRAKES COMPUTER ELECTRICAL GAS CAP SERPENTINE BELT MELTED STARTER WINDSHIELD WIPERS 5X KEEPS DETACHING Cant use DEFOG, HEAT OR A/C- gas fumes come in through vents , intoxicating and makes you lightheaded So much more..... All in all I haven't put 50,000 miles on this vehicle. MANUFACTURER claims the Warranty for Fuel Pump expired before I owned the vehicle. MANUFACTURER CANCELLED my Warranty without telling me. Yet knew how to contact me in 2016 for Speaker Fire Recall. 2 tires blew out. Replaced all 4. 2 X muffler Enormous RUST NO ACCIDENTS, MIRACULOUSLY. Have been putting in endless Complaints with NHTSA. NO ONE DOES ANYTHING. I HAVE SPENT MORE THAN THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE AND UNDRIVABLE. PIT in Complaints where Original Warranty Booklet states, Eastern Michigan, BBB, CANDICE Rugenstein. States they are small non- profit. I am disabled since 1993. My Home Health Aide at that time submitted all receipts and proof for used car LEMON law. They than claimed they did not get it. After sheer hell they found it and denied it. THIS VEHICLE IS DEFECTIVE.

ALL DIALS GOING FROM LOW TO HIGH REPEATEDLY, LOSS OF CONTROL OF CAR VERY SCARY. DO NOT KNOW HOW FAST YOUR DRIVING, LIKE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL EVENT. TAKATA RECALL I OWN A 2002 CHRYSLER VOYAGER MINIVAN. AT ABOUT 85,000 MILES I NOTICED THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD WAS COMING ON SPORADICALLY. EVENTUALLY IT STARTED REMAINING ON ALL THE TIME FROM THE MOMENT I STARTED THE IGNITION. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER TO HAVE IT INSPECTED. THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CLOCK SPRING AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND WOULD COST ME ABOUT $350. EARLIER REPRODUCTIONS OF THIS MODEL HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR PROBLEMS WITH CLOCK SPRINGS BUT MINE IS NOT BECAUSE IT WAS MANUFACTURED TWO YEARS TOO LATE.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. SOON AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER THREE OR FOUR TIMES REGARDING THIS FAILURE. AFTER REGULARLY SERVICING HER VEHICLE, SHE HAS HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKES AT 20,000 AND 40,000 MILES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN AT 70,000 MILES. TWO WEEKS AFTER HER VEHICLE HAD BEEN INSPECTED AND WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION SNAPPED IN HALF. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE PUSHED OFF THE ROAD AND THEN TOWED TO A MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC CONFIRMED THAT THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND STATED THAT ANY PART THAT WAS CONTAMINATED BY THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY WITH THE MECHANIC AND REPAIRS CURRENTLY TOTAL $1,400. THE CONTACT IS SCHEDULED TO HAVE ARBITRATION WITH THE DMV. THE PURCHASE DATE AND POWERTRAIN WERE UNKNOWN. I HAVE 2 ISSUES WITH MY 2002 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. THE FIRST IS THE AIR BAG LIGHT FLASHES ON AND OFF. I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE AND INFORMED THEM THAT I WAS AWARE OF THE RECALLS ON THE EARLY MODELS. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS NOT UNDER RECALL AND THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED AND ON MY WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER IT STARTED AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK THE NEXT DAY AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS WHAT I SUSPECTED BUT IT WOULD COST ME MORE MONEY.(NOW MIND YOU I HAD TOLD THEM WHAT I THOUGHT THE PROBLEM WAS). THEREFORE IT IS NOT FIXED AND I WAS TOLD THAT AS LONG AS THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS OFF IT WOULD DEPLOY IF IT IS ON IT WILL NOT. THE SECOND ISSUE IS THE RUST! I PURCHASED MY 2002 PT CRUISER WHEN IT WAS ABOUT A YEAR OLD. THERE WAS SLIGHT DISCOLORATION ON THE BUMPER THAT LOOKED LIKE TAPE WAS THERE. IT WASN'T VERY NOTICEABLE AT THE TIME. NOW, A FEW YEARS LATER IT LOOKS RIDICULOUS. THERE IS A LINE THAT LOOKS LIKE TAPE ABOUT 1.5 INCHES WIDE ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE BUMPER, IT IS VERY NOTICEABLE. IT IS ON THE REAR AND FRONT BUMPER.
