Driver side headrest deployment while parked without collision

My daughter sat inside the passenger seat while the car was parked, and the passenger headrest deployed onto the back of her head.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the safety mechanism was erroneously tripped. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. Both front headrests have deployed. Car was sitting in driveway at night, came out in the morning and headrests were open/deployed. Plastic pieces inside snapped and will not lock back together. I have found hundreds of similar issues that people had with the same model of vehicle.

The contact owned a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 45 MPH, she observed a burning odor and the vehicle then stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was coasted to the side of the road where she observed smoke and flames from the engine compartment. An unknown driver stopped and used an extinguisher to extinguish the fire but the flames grew too large. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. There were no other damages. The vehicle was towed to a lot where it was deemed inoperable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

After buying used 2015 Dodge journey driving home from work at busy rush hour traffic my car just stopped with loss of brakes and steering was nearly rear ended was so nervous by this car started since then it keeps doing it but now check engine light is on I'm going thru divorce and he is incarcerated so I don't have a ton of money dealer wants be to pay I have since researched this online and find this to be a repeated over and over again problem this is the first Dodge vehicle I've owned and will be the last I do not feel safe driving this vehicle at all and I don't feel safe with the with Dodge if they're not going to stand behind their product I see that there was problems with that they took care of before the year 2015 but not since although it's the same problem I'm sick of being taken by these large corporations that just getting bigger and bigger on their greed while I struggle and have no help with the situation my car has been sitting for 2 months now in my garage although I'm making payments on it and can't get it titled

I have had my car repaired a couple of time for the same issue, and both mechanics have told me that there is a recall on my cylinder 2 engine and the manufacturer was not saying anything which is causing the check engine light to come on and codes reading the same every single time: misfire, spark plugs and gaskets which have all been replaced twice in the 5 years of owning this car. The dealership won't help, if there is a recall or issue with my vehicles I need to know so I can transport my family and I safely back and forth. I see a lot of people complain about the same exact problem I'm facing currently. I'm probably out of about $5k maybe more.

The contact stated that the vehicle restarted approximately 15 minutes later and was taken to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the flash software, power train control module, anti-lock brake system, wiring three-way, crankshaft position, and sensor battery were replaced. The contact received notification of the Emissions Recall U67 for the Catalytic Converter Efficiency, however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 100,101.

On Jun 26, 2025 I was driving down a residential street when I heard a loud bang - it sounded like something hit my car. I stopped, got out and looked all over the outside of my car but found nothing wrong. As I re-entered the drivers side of the car, I saw the passenger side headrest...it had exploded!!! I immediately called my brother who is an auto mechanic and he told me that the headrest is part of the airbag system. I did not know this. He said that some vehicles were recalled because of the headrests exploding for no reason. Although my car is a Dodge, it is not one currently under recall. I am afraid to drive the car for fear the drivers side headrest will also explode while I am driving, causing injury to me or my children in the backseat. The car is now parked until it can be repaired...and the cost is in excess of $1000 to replace both headrests!!!

Air bag light comes on and stays on sometimes for days. Air bag light may come on going down a gravel road with a lot of ruts and if I make a sharp left or right turn it will come on.

Airbag warning light goes on and off at times, sometime remains on for a minute or two and other times goes off immediately. This happens when the turn signal is turned on or when I run over a bump in the road. I had the codes run on it and it shows up as the steering wheel clockspring. This started doing this during summer of 2022 and stopped until recently.

I was driving down the freeway and my transmission started slipping and eventually lost power, had to pull over on a 80mph freeway with my 4 kids in the car after turning on my hazard lights and wait for my husband to come get us (1 hour, due to how remote We are) he was able to limp the car home, but we couldn't even get it off of the freeway because it did not have the power to get off on an off ramp... I can't even begin to explain how scary that was to have my kids in a car on the side of the freeway while semis shook the car passing us at 70+ mph.. this is a known issue but my car does not fall under the recall and it absolutely should! The transmission oil and filter has been flushed as well as tested to make sure the solenoids are in good working order.

The contact's fiancée owns a 2015 Journey Dodge. The contact stated that while his fiancée was driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle was jerking. The driver pulled to the side of the road, called, and notified the contact of the failure. The contact advised the driver to continue driving slowly. The driver was able to slowly drive to the residence. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the transmission fluid was flushed and replaced, and a filter was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

P0868 low pressure. current Recall needs expanded years. 2014 manufactured date is effected as well. Many things already replaced leading back to faulty pump. Viscous coupler also malfunctions in these at low milage. Flex plate fractures.

We were driving down the interstate and my vehicle caught fire, there were no warnings on the dash and the vehicle was driving fine. Luckily someone pulled us over to let us know that something was getting on their windshield... Some kind of fluid... Were not sure what. After pulling over we seen fire dropping out from under the vehicle and within 5 minutes the vehicle was completely engulfed

I only owned vehicle for 2 weeks. The Vehicle stalls while driving, unable to brake or steer. after a few seconds and a fee times trying to restart, car restarts engine light comes on and displays no codes. Light goes off after a few hours. Mechanics are unable to diagnose. Almost rear ended in middle of busy street.

I was sitting in the house and heard a loud boom, looked outside and my dodge journey was on fire. I called 911 to get to the fire department, and went outside with the fire ext. and the fire was on the left rear of the truck. I put the fire out on the outside but it was burning on the in side and could not get the doors open. The Bardstown KY fire department arrived and put the fire out. The fire department took pictures and are making a report. There is no reason this truck caught on fire. The wires were burnt on the tail light on the left rear and the inside of the truck. My insurance has pictures also Bardstown ky fire department

Everything comes on and the battery is good, but my vehicle will not start. With my feet on the brakes and I press start it goes to run, but it's not running, and it did not start. My husband and I were 52miles away from home and I had to have it tow to the Chrysler Dodge service center in Stone Mountain, and we live in Senoia Ga. My vehicle has been in their shop for over a week, and they actually said they are trying to figure out the problem. The engine light came on and the vehicle will not start it appeared to be dead, but everything came on but the vehicle. I google the problem and I found out I'm not alone over 100 other people had the same problem with this particular vehicle. Most model from 2013 to 2017 are having the same problem. I need my vehicle to take my husband to and from the cancer center] and other places I may need to take him to see a specialist.

My car battery dies over night. Leaving me stranded. I have replaced the battery 5 times in 2 years. I have looked this problem up and there are a huge number of complaints online from Journey owners with the same issue. As a company, Dodge should stand behind their products & issue a recall to fix this problem. I can not keep affording to have my car towed and replacing batteries.

My car is rarely driven, only 40,000 miles. When i started my car recently the brake, ABS light, and traction light came on. I did my research in which i found out that there is a recall for 2012-2015 dodge journey model, my car is a 2015 model but my VIN in particular is not part of the recall

The ABS light and Check engine light came on and dash began flickering. Vehicle also experienced sputtering issues and hesitation on acceleration. Vehicle was inspected by an independent technician who recommended taking it to a dealership for an ABS Module. The Vehicle was taken to the dealership and dealership determined that an ABS control and ABS module were needed. Parts were ordered, however, after contacting Chrysler customer care I learned that the ABS module is back ordered and on hold for engineer review. According to the representative I spoke to, folks have been waiting months for this part and it has been a high volume part order. The part number is 68164594AA. According to the rep, the part may take until April to arrive. If this is true it sounds like a significant number of people may be having a serious issue with their Dodge vehicle ABS module.

The Antilock Brake System (ABS) is not functioning and warning lights are on. I understand there is a recall on Dodge/Journey 2012-2015 for ABS control module: Safety Recall R61/NHTSA 15V-675. I took it to the Dodge dealership for repair, but they declined as my car, based on the vin number, is not covered under this recall. They said only specific vin numbers are recalled and mine is not one of them. Since my Dodge falls under the 2012-2015 general recalI and I have a faulty ABS module, may I get approval to be included under that recall, as this is a safety issue? I talked with the FCA and they suggested I address this issue to you. Thanks.

Vehicle would not start and the engine light was on. Upon inspection at dealer, the ABS module was offline due to water intrusion into the connector which caused corrosion on both abs module and wiring harness connector. There is a recall for this issue on about 276,000 Dodge Journeys. We were denied compensation since our vin was not on recall list. We were required to pay $3982.69 to fix what should have been covered under the recall.

RACK AND PINION STEERING BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING. WILL COST $1500 TO REPAIR. THE 2015 DODGE JOURNEY HAD A RECALL FOR THIS, BUT THEY SAY SOMEHOW MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED.

OUR CAR HAS A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST THAT REQUIRES EXTRA STEERING EFFORT, ESPECIALLY AT LOWER SPEEDS AND WHEN TURNING OR PARKING. THE STEERING WHEEL IS ALMOST COMPLETELY STIFF AND CANNOT BE TURNED WITHOUT USING EXCESSIVE FORCE TO TURN THE WHEEL. POWER STEERING WORK FAIRLY WELL ON FREEWAYS (PROBABLY DUE TO HIGHER SPEED). I CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE THE RISK OF CRASHING SEEMS PRETTY HIGH DUE TO THE INABILITY TO STEER.

STEERING NOT WORKING; VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN, ESPECIALLY TO THE RIGHT. SINCE 30K MILES THE POWER STEERING HAS INCREASED IN GETTING LOUDER AND LOUDER. WE COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP IN 2016. THEY CHECKED IT AND SAID EVERY THING WAS FINE, CHRYSLER SAYS IT'S JUST LOUD THAT'S ALL. WE'VE BEEN LIVING WITH THIS HORRIBLE NOISE FOR YEARS. IT'S EVEN LOUDER WHEN IT GETS COLDER OUTSIDE. AS IT GETS LOUDER, THE STEERING BECOMES MORE DIFFICULT TO STEER. YESTERDAY, WHEN PULLING ONTO THE HIGHWAY FROM A STOP SIGN, THE POWER STEERING ALL BUT QUIT TURNING TO THE RIGHT. INTERMITTENT WHEN TURNING LEFT. THE VEHICLE HAS 93K ON IT NOW AND IT IS TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.

MY WIFE'S CAR HAS STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE RUNNING IN TRAFFIC AT 55 MPH AND ABOVE. SHE EASILY COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN A COLLISION. CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALER 4 TIMES FOR REPAIR, BUT STILL HAS SAME PROBLEM. CAR HAS UNDER 60K MILES.

WHEN I LOOK AT THE MESSAGE BOARDS FOR THIS DODGE MAKE OF CAR THERE ARE ENDLESS MENTIONS OF THIS PROBLEM AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT PEOPLE ENDLESSLY SPENDING MONEY TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT DODGE KNOWS IS CAUSING THESE PROBLEMS. JUST BOUGHT MY SON THIS CAR AND 3 DAYS LATER THE CAR WILL NOT START IN THE MORNING. SETTING IN THE DRIVEWAY AT HOME. WAS ABLE TO JUMP THE VEHICLE TO GET IT STARTED ONLY IT TO NOT START AGAIN WHEN RETURNING FROM WORK 6 HOURS LATER PARKED IN A PARKING GARAGE. DROVE OUT THERE HAD TO JUMP VEHICLE AGAIN. BOUGHT NEW BATTERY AND REPLACED CAR DID THE SAME THING 8 HOURS LATER, USED BATTERY CHECKED GOOD AS WELL AS THE ALTERNATOR. GOT ONLINE AND FOUND ALL OF THESE SUGGESTIONS TO OVERRIDE A SAFETY FEATURE IN THE CAR THAT SEEMED TO WORK FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE BUT DID NOT WORK FOR US. Driver side headrest has deployed, and there was no warning or notification prior to this happening. I should not have to pay hundreds of dollars on a replacement if clips or what may it be to hold device together are faulty. 1st vehicle with this problem, and now my 2nd Jeep Compass has this issue as well. No accidents, just deployed.

DRIVER SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED. THANK GOD I WAS NOT IN CAR WHEN IT HAPPENED. I NOTICED MY HEAD WAS UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING WHEN I LOOKED I SEE IT WIDE OPEN!! I WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH THE CAR ON AND I WAS TALKING THE MY KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT TURNED AROUND TO LOOK AT THEM WHEN I TURNED AROUND I HEAR A LOUD POP LIKE SOMEONE HAD HIT THE HEADREST BUT NOBODY HAD. Vehicle has oil cooler leak which plastic oil filter casing and oil cooler adapter cracked and leaked. Oil pooled up on top of engine casing channel below intake plenum and dripped down to electrical connectors that go into transmission. Engine oil heated and smoked because of heated motor and smoke goes into vehicle cabin causing oil smoke film inside with occupants. Oil mist is in the inside windshield and outside windshield along with wipers. There is a recall for this year journey 2015 this year engine 3.6 vet and transmission combination fwd 6spd ;however, the Vin number is not applying to correct the oil cooler and filter replacement under a recall. There is an upgraded part made that does not fail S44 recall; however I had to pay full price for the repair at a dealership and they replaced with the upgraded recalled part. The recall for this repair is S 44 why was not my Vin and vehicle covered under this recall number? Please Include my Vin number in this recall as well since everything is the same for S44.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SIERRA CHRYSLER DODGE (1305 MOUNTAIN AVE, MONROVIA, CA 91016) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW ALTERNATOR WAS NEEDED. THE ALTERNATOR WAS NOT REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE TIMING BELT AND OIL LEAK WERE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND OFFERED TO COMPENSATE THE CONTACT FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.

I am currently having an issue where my climate control turns itself on even after I turn it off. Just recently my dual control for the climate would switch back to single even after selecting to have it dual. At this moment my air/heat is always on and I really have no need to keep the windows down unless it gets too warm and I need to let cooler air in.

I HAVE A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY THAT HAS HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH IT. BEFORE THE CAR WAS EVEN A YEAR OLD IT WAS TAKING INTO THE SHOP FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION WHILE I WAS TURNING LEFT. THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. AT THAT POINT, THE SERVICE WAS ESCALATED TO A HIGHER DEPARTMENT AND A HIGH LEVEL REPAIR PERSON WAS BROUGHT IN. LESS THAN 15,000 MILES LATER, THE CAR BEGAN HEAVILY SHAKING EVERY TIME IT WAS DRIVEN. THE FIND WAS THAT THERE WAS A MISSING BOLT IN THE TIE ROD. THE SERVICE MAN SAID THERE WAS NO REASONABLE EXCUSE THAT COULD EXPLAIN HOW THIS WOULD EVEN OCCUR. TODAY, THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP FOR THE SECOND TIME IN THREE DAYS. INITIALLY FOR THE BATTER LIGHT COMING ON WHILE DRIVING. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A LOOSE WIRE AND SOME CORROSION ON THE BATTER BUT THAT IT WAS REPAIRED. LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER THEN LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN WHILE DRIVING THIS TIME WITH THE WARNING ON THE PANEL THAT READ BATTERY SAVING MODE. I IMMEDIATELY RETURNED THE CAR TO THE SHOP. WAITED ALL DAY YESTERDAY ONLY TO BE GIVEN THE SAME EXPLANATION THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY GIVEN. UPON FURTHER PROBING I DISCOVER THE CAR HAD NEVER EVEN BEEN RE INSPECTED. THE CAR CONTINUES TO BE IN THE SHOP HAS HAS BEEN UNDRIVABLE FOR 4 DAYS NOW. I HAVE A 6 YEAR OLD SONE WHO IS TRANSPORTED IN THE VEHICLE DAILY. I'M BEGINNING TO FEAR FOR HIS SAFETY IN THE CAR GIVEN ITS HISTORY AND WILL NO LONGER PLACE HIM IN HARMS WAY BY DRIVING IN THIS CAR. THE UNBELIEVABLE SERIOUS PROBLEMS THAT HAVE OCCURRED WITH THIS VEHICLE ARE ALARMING. ESPECIALLY, GIVEN THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO CLEAR EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THE ISSUES ARE ARISING. While driving the steering wheel locked up and the brakes stopped working, the engine was still running. Breaks were extremely hard to press and was not able to turn the steering wheel at all. Was able to coast to a stop and place the car in park. Once I stopped I placed the car in park, turned off the car and restarted it and worked fine.

ONCE MY FOOT CAME OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR, MY CAR DIED, NO BRAKES, AND NO STEERING. THE ELECTRICAL CONTINUED TO WORK AS MY MUSIC WAS STILL PLAYING AND THE FLASHERS WORKED AS WELL. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, AND PUSHED THE START BUTTON, NOTHING HAPPENED. I TRIED A COUPLE MORE TIMES AND THEN MY CAR STARTED BACK UP. I DROVE TO A PARKING SPOT, SHUT THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON. THE PROBLEM WAS THE ENGINE STALLING WHILE DRIVING. LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER AND BRAKE. I HAD THIS PROBLEM HAPPEN TO MY 18YR OLD DAUGHTER ON OCTOBER 9TH 2017. I CALLED THE DEALER ON OCTOBER 10TH WHERE WE PURCHASED IT TO EXPLAIN WHAT WAS GOING ON. THEY GOT IT IN THAT MORNING AND DROVE IT FOR ABOUT 30 MILES AND COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID THE CAR DID NOT GIVE THEM ANY CODES TO TELL THEM WHAT THE ISSUE WAS SO THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO REPLACE. I AM NOT SURE IF THERE IS A RELEVANCE TO THE PROBLEM BUT A WEEK BEFORE THIS HAPPENED MY KEYFOB WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL. THE CAR WOULD SAY KEY NOT DETECTED. I HAD TO PRESS THE KEYFOB INTO THE BUTTON TO GET THE CAR STARTED. ONCE I GOT HOME, WHICH IS 15 MILES AWAY, I NOTICED THE TPM SENSORS WERE ONLY READING 1 TIRE PRESSURE. THE OTHERS WERE READING "---". THE KEYFOB BATTERY'S WERE REPLACED ON BOTH KEYFOBS TO MAKE SURE THAT WAS NOT THE ISSUE BUT IT DIDN'T HELP. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY TO RESET THE COMPUTER AND THE KEYFOBS STARTED TO WORK CORRECTLY. DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, I NOTICED MY SPEED DROPPING. I PUSHED ON THE GAS BUT GOT NO RESPONSE. THEN TRAFFIC BEGAN TO STOP BUT I COULDNT! MY BRAKES DID NOT WORK!!! I PUT MY HAZZARD LIGHTS ON AND BEGAN TO DRIFT ACROSS 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE STEERING ALSO DID NOT WORK!!!! I ALMOST CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS AS I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL MY VEHICLE. I MADE IT TO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND PUSHED THE EMERGENCY BREAK COMING TO A JOILTING STOP. ONCE I CAUGHT MY BREATH AND STOPPED SHAKING, I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. PRAISE GOD, NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME AND I HAD TO CRANK THE WHEEL TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AS THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES ALSO DIED. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS, INDICATORS, LIGHTS, ETC. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND HIT THE START BUTTON AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM I WOULD BE BRINGING IT TO THEM IN THE MORNING. THEY HAVE NOW HAD MY CAR FOR 5 DAYS AND CAN'T FIND ANY ERROR CODES IN THEIR COMPUTER WHEN RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS AND "CAN'T REPRODUCE THE STALL". I TOLD THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE T.I.P.M. (TOTAL INTEGRATED PROGRAM MODULE) ON OLDER MODELS AND IN FACT 2 WERE REPORTED AT HTTP://WWW.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM/DODGE/JOURNEY/2014/ FOR 2014 MODELS. HE CLAIMED THAT THIS DEFECT IS ON OLDER MODELS 'ONLY' AND WASN'T THE PROBLEM. I am driving a 2015 Dodge Journey. Randomly, the airbag light came on, followed by loss of all electronics on the steering wheel. The horn will not work, nor any of the switches on the steering wheel. I did find that this is a common issue with Dodge Vehicles under recall 18V332000 AND 17V432000. I was told at the dealership that my specific dodge journey did not group into that recall however is experiencing those same issues. I am unsure if the airbag will even deploy in this state, coupled with the failure of the horn, this vehicle is not safe to drive.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was jerking and failed to properly accelerate before the vehicle stalled. While operating the vehicle the traction control, ABS, and several unknown warning lights became illuminated. Additionally, the "Service Park Assist" message was displayed. In addition, the battery was often drained and needed to be recharged. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the power train was faulty and advised that the vehicle needed to be taken to the local dealer. No service was performed. The vehicle was taken back to an independent mechanic who replaced the alternator, serpentine belt, brake sensor, and several unknown parts but the failure persisted. The contact stated that the battery was replaced several times, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.

MY 16-YEAR-OLD SON WAS DRIVING OUR 2015 DODGE JOURNEY TO SCHOOL. HE BEGAN TO HEAR A NOISE THAT SOUNDED AS IF SOMETHING WAS DRAGGING UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER BEHIND HIM WAS FLASHING HIM TO PULL OVER, HE BEGAN HAVING ISSUES CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE FORTUNATELY HE WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND AS SOON AS HE GOT TO THE STOP SIGN THE CAR COMPLETELY DIED AFTER MAKING A LOUD NOISE AND STARTED SMOKING. MY SON JUMPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND THE DRIVER BEHIND HIM TOLD HIM TO GET AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AS HE FELT IT WAS ABOUT TO CATCH FIRE BY THE SMELL. ONCE THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER GOT THERE AND TRY TO START THE VEHICLE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL THE CAR AGAIN FILLED UP WITH A BURNING SMELL. HE KEPT US INFORMED ALONG THE WAY ASKED QUESTIONS AND HE WAS PROVIDED THE SERVICE RECORDS. COME TO FIND OUT THE ENGINE SEIZED UP. THE ENGINE, OIL PUMP, STARTER, ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED. CHRYSLER REQUESTED THE ENGINE SO THEIR ENGINEERS COULD LOOK AT IT. ALTHOUGH EVERYTHING WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, MY CONCERN IS NOW THAT THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE DRIVING IN THE SAME THING MAY HAPPEN TO THEM IF NOT WORSE .

ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH NO RESULTS. AFTER 5 ATTEMPTS, THE VEHICLE FINALLY STARTED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT LIT UP. LIGHT STAYED ON FOR 4 DAYS AND THEN WENT OFF. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP, AFTER INSPECTION DETERMINED CRANKSHAFT SENSOR MESSAGE WAS RECORDED. PART WAS ORDERED AND REPLACED. HOPE THIS FIXES THE PROBLEM. HAVE SEEN ALL OLDER MODELS HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES. HOPE DODGE ADDRESSES ANT EXSISTING ISSUES ON NEW MODELS.

Vehicle has P0740 code of which is a recall on the transmission pump. The recall is S 44 however my vin does not apply even though it’s the same make,model,year, engine and drivetrain as the recall. Please include my Vin number in the recall because the vehicle stalls/ hesitate when the gas pedal is applied and the transmission is trying to downshift when speeding up to change lanes. The situation is dangerous because the driver can lose control of the vehicle when planning to execute and not get a response from the vehicle when accelerating or changing lanes. The problem is more of a 2 to 3 second hiccup and the vehicle seems confused. Include this vehicle and my Vin number in the S 44 recall of which my dealership has stated it should’ve been included with the rest of the 2015 and 2016 caravan, dodge journey recalls. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured July 31, 2015, to April 18, 2016, 2016 Dodge Journey vehicles manufactured August 17, 2015, to January 29, 2016, and 2016 RAM ProMaster vehicles manufactured August 15, 2016, to April 15, 2016. The transmission pump may seize causing a loss of hydraulic pressure.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC), SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC The light for the stability control came on and my brakes chatter feels like there's bumps on the disc .Its pulling to the right , .. Also my door locks have failed .first it started with my rear windshield wiper running with the switch off ,than my reverse lights and now the locks . The back door does not lock at all and the door locks work sometimes .The electronics on my car is failing @ 120,000 it started .Its now at 150,000 tried everything still wont work.

The ABS system got wet and shorted out the electrical system. It seems it may have been a recall earlier that was done but obviously it has failed again. Was driving and all lights and beepers went off. My abscandvtraction control and brake sensor and cruise control and park assist and engine and brake lights are all on and it now won’t start easy. It’s a mess and at the dealer who says they won’t help fix it

Looking back the issue started about one month prior to warning lights came on when I had to brake quickly, but not really "slamming" on the brakes and they seemed to "lock-up". Luckily I had plenty of room between myself and the car in front of me. It never happened again so I thought it was a fluke. Thirty days or so later, I started the engine and everything was fine but after about 20 feet down the road, the brake, ABS, and traction lights all came on. Went back home, turned off the engine, went inside to ask husband to come look and when he turned engine back on and he tried driving it around the corner but the lights did not come back on. The issue continued with the lights going on and go off, when they are on the cruise control is inoperable. We took it to Autozone to see if we could find out what might be going on and we were told that we would need to take it to a Dodge dealership. It took several weeks for them to fit us in, but when they took in we were told it was an internal short in the ABS module and would need to be replaced. We were also told that it would be 3 months before they could even order it. While we have been waiting to safely use our vehicle I have been researching and found that there is a recall on other 2015 Dodge Journeys (R61) for issue with the ABS module for just the reason we are having to replace ours. In checking our VIN, it states that our vehicle is not covered under the recall, but not only am I questioning that should it be and there might be many other vehicles on the road with the issue and they won't know it until it is too late since ours had a scary event prior to warning lights ever coming on. I also do not think we should have to pay over $1,000 for an issue covered under a recall.

Car's check engine on randomly turned on, lost engine power and steering became hard and had to come to an emergency stop. There was no message for the check engine and a couple tries later the car was able to turn back on and made it back home. Could've been much more dangerous situation had we been on a busy road with nowhere to pull over.

EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED, THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY WITH THE WINDOWS UP. ALSO, SINCE THEN, THE DOOR LOCKS HAVE STARTED TO LOCK AND UNLOCK SEVERAL TIMES ON THEIR OWN AFTER I'VE LOCKED THE VEHICLE AND WALKED AWAY FROM IT. The vehicle intermittently shakes at about 45-50 MPH. It sounds and feels as if you were going at accelerated speeds over rumble strips. Sometimes this is followed by hard engine thumping. I have noticed during rain and days leading up to rain the issue is more predominant. There are also issues with misfires at idle that is unexplained by several mechanic shops (11 in a matter of 3 years). Because they are unable to recreate any of these issues they are unable to diagnose them. I have been to numerous shops while my car was within warranty and denied any fix due to none of them being able to recreate this issue. Now my warranty is up and the issue still persists even after thousands spent on attempting to get a diagnosis. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! Complete stability and control of the vehicle is lost and WILL inevitably cause a serious incident. In the middle of the highway during misfires the cars ABS and Traction Control lights come on and the vehicle goes into low power mode almost instantly.

The airbag and seatbelt restraint systems are non-functional. The airbag warning light and seatbelt warning light are illuminated. The vehicle was sold to me by a licensed dealership, and after purchase I discovered evidence of prior crash damage that was not disclosed. Due to the disabled airbag and seatbelt systems, occupants would not be properly restrained or protected in the event of a collision, creating a serious risk of injury or death. The vehicle was purchased used, and I was not involved in the prior crash nor told about it. The exact details of the prior crash are unknown. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The issue has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives.

My abs, traction control light, and brake light are on on the dash. When I tried to use cruise control the other day it wouldn't turn off. Now it's not working at all and the brakes locked up in the rain the other day and as soon as it dried up outside the issue went away. But now the brake module under the hood seems to be leaking and my oil cooler on top of the engine.

My ABS, traction control and Emergency brake dash lights are on. When I researched the problem it did show a recall on the ABS control module and wiring harness from certain 2015 Dodge Journeys. I did take my car to a dodge dealership and they did confirm the ABS module needs to be replaced but they told me my particular VIN wasn't included in the current recall. If my car model from the same year has an active recall for the part included in the recall and it is being effective by the same problem listed in the recall how do I get my car included in that recall. I am currently still waiting for the new part to come in with the dealership to have it replaced.

There is a recall for this part, but not for my vin number. The horn fuse had to be removed because the alarm would not stop going off, even when the alarm was not set. This is also associated with the ECM.

Today while driving on the highway at about 60mph my vehicle lost power causing the car to surge forward. I was unable to steer or brake for several seconds. The gauges completely dropped. It was as if someone had shut the vehicle completely off. The vehicle then restarted on its own. I was nearly rear ended by a semi and am terrified of driving this vehicle anywhere. I did a google search and came across numerous complaints of this happening. No warning lights prior to it happening or afterwards. We have had no issues with this vehicle until this point. It has approximately 90k miles on it.

The car will be driving and just completely shut off in traffic power steering locks up. You can’t get the car into park. The windshield wipers go crazy the screen goes black. It starts doing clicking sounds I had to have the firemen come and get me out of the road my car stopped since the second time this is so dangerous, they cannot figure out what’s wrong with it I replaced the battery @ the dealership, I’ve replaced the alternator at Aamco. I bought this car in 2016 new off the lot. I’ve had many problems with the electrical. This is just the worst .my radio turns on and off at Will .my driver side window will not roll down unless it’s below 30° outside which is super strange, and my air conditioning turns itself on turns itself off, but this was the scariest this is happened before last year and I had Aamco look at the transmission. They said that the transmission had a lot of metal in it that they have seen a lot in these dodges but they cleaned it out for me and it was fine, but this is the same thing that was happening and this is not a transmission Thing this is a power thing it just loses power completely. My car only has 100,000 miles on it I’ve taken care of my car I’m the only owner. All those miles are highway miles from visiting family. I never drive my car anywhere further and then in my neighborhood which is a .5 radius and I work from home so I rarely drive my car so 100,000 miles it isn’t a high number for a car that’s taken care of that isn’t driven often.

The Anti-Locking Braking System, Electronic Stability Control & Braking warning lights stay on all the time. I have absolutely no traction at anytime. The worse incident occurred when I was headed down a mountain and it had just started to rain. I could not slow the car down. I started at 35 MPH at the top of the mountain and was at 60 MPH by time I got at the bottom of it. Every time I barely touched the brakes the car started fishtailing. I notice the no traction mainly when there are wet roads. I can tell I have not traction at times even on dry roads but lots worse when they are wet. I have noticed in many searches that the ABS/ESC being disabled is a common recall for the 2015 Dodge Journey; however, when I enter my VIN number to my car it states it is not included in this recall. I would like to know how recalls work and why my car would not be included. I have been watchin recalls hoping that my car would be included because I am still making payments on this vehicle and do not have money to fix this issue. This is my main means of travel and I am extremely nervous driving with no traction. I'm considering getting rid of this vehicle because I do not feel it is safe to drive.

The front suspension and sway bar with all attachments should be recalled. I am not sure if other 2015 dodge Journey users have experienced this or not but since I got my car in 2016 i have had to replace all the parts on 4 different occasions. It is ridiculous and to me is a safety issue.

THIS OCCURRED IN A DRIVEWAY UPON START-UP OF VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE REFUSED TO START DURING CRANKING OF ENGINE. DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED FOR ADVICE, THEY RECOMMENDED TO JUMP THE VEHICLE. DIRECTIONS WERE FOLLOWED WITH HOOD IN THE OPEN POSITION AND FUEL WAS OBSERVED SPRAYING OUT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT UPON CRANKING OF THE ENGINE. THE DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED AGAIN IN WHICH THEY TOWED THE CAR TO THEIR SHOP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THEY NOTED THE FUEL LINE ATTACHED TO FUEL RAIL WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED (AT FACTORY AS DESCRIBED BY DEALERSHIP GARAGE) WHICH CAUSED THE FUEL TO SPRAY THROUGHOUT THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR HAVE BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES WITHIN A YEAR. TRULY A SAFETY HAZARD ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THERE WAS A BUNCH OF LONG LINES ON THE SCREEN AND THE KEY FOB WASN'T DETECTED EVEN THOUGH THE KEY WAS IN THE CAR. THIS HAPPENED AS THE CAR WOULDN'T CRANK UP. THE CAR WOULDN'T REGISTER THAT IT WAS IN PARK. IT REFLECTED THAT IT WAS IN BATTER SAVE MODE. THE A/C CUTS ON BY ITSELF. EVEN AFTER CUTTING IT OFF A FEW TIMES. THE ISSUE WITH THE A/C WAS HAPPENING WITH BOTH FRONT AND REAR UNITS. THE REAR WOULD BLOW OUT A LOT OF HOT AIR AND IT WOULDN'T SYNC. THE ISSUE WITH THE KEY FOB JUST HAPPENED TODAY (9/13/19)

THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IN 3 MONTHS... THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON, GOES OFF, THEN THE FUEL CAP LIGHT COMES ON. THE FIRST TIME WE WERE TOLD IT WAS A SENSOR AND THERE WAS A MINOR VAPOR LEAK DETECTED SO DODGE REPLACED THE SENSOR. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED, THERE WAS A MAJOR VAPOR LEAK DETECTED SO THEY REPLACED THE GAS CAP. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME AND ARE WAITING TO SEE WHAT IS CAUSING IT NOW. ALSO, YET ANOTHER ISSUE OCCURRED IN WHICH THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE AIR CONDITIONING FAN WOULD NOT BLOW, SUPPOSEDLY THAT SITUATION RESOLVED ITSELF ALTHOUGH THIS WAS WITNESSED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT RECREATE IT. FINALLY, WE PURCHASED A 4 CYLINDER AND LIVE IN A CLIMATE THAT GETS UP OVER 115 DEGREES. WHEN ACCELERATING, THE A/C BLOWS WARM. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS STATED THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 4 CYLINDER DODGE JOURNEYS.

ONLINE I HAVE FOUND MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. SOME BELIEVE THAT IT IS RELATED TO THE KEY FAB. THE ELECTRONICS KEY IS NOT BEING RECOGNIZED AND SHUTTING DOWN THE CAR. I was driving to work and after about 15 minutes of driving at around 45 miles an hour my car stopped accelerating when I pushed on the gas. Shortly after that my wheel locked and the power steering went out. Once I got myself on the side of the road the car would not turn off and I had trouble putting it in park. After a few minutes I was able to turn the car off and they called a tow truck to take me to a mechanic. The tow truck driver was able to restart the car and get the car in neutral to tow it to a mechanic.

During the failure, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic dealer, who diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Previously, after starting the vehicle, the steering wheel was very difficult to turn, and fluid was present underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was driven to the local deale,r who diagnosed that the power steering fluid hose had failed, causing power steering fluid to leak from the vehicle. The power steering fluid hose was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 95,000.

My Vehicle stopped working all together. It only has 45 thousand miles on it. The dealer found that the ABS module shorted out and caused the whole car to loose communication. the dealer informed me that the replacement part was under review by Chrysler engineers and production has stopped so there is no replacement for this part and so i contacted Chrysler and was told that they don't have an estimated time for new part production. This issue is not only a financial concern but also a safety as my vehicle has no abs, lights and will not run and drive. I have a car that I cant even repair because of lack of part production so now I'm out financially as well with no idea on how long it will take to get repaired.

In 2/2021 After having dealership replace thermostat and front brakes/rotors, I got my car back and then the same day the ABS, Traction control and ABS lights were on the dash, so I returned to dealership, resulting in full corrosion on the wiring harness repair from water leakage and anti lock brake module replacement. Now in late Sept (less than 3000 miles later) the ABS, traction control and Service AWD light on the dash AGAIN and dealership said it niw needs ABS sensor replaced, the module had water in the ABS module. This is a safety issue with disables ABS and ESC disabled. This appears to be related to other similar complaints and Chrysler recall R61 for 2015 Dodge Journeys, but not showing up for my VIN.

NHTSA recall 15V675000 was performed by the Dodge Dealer in 2016. Braking control system failures were recently indicated by dash panel warning lights. Independent mechanic verified water intrusion, corrosion and electrical short circuits. Remedial repairs by independent mechanic did not solve the problem. I contacted Dealer Service who verified the complaint in Jun 2021, but Chrysler corporation declined to cover the costs of the proper repair. I contend their ABS and/or ESC system failures are due to their defective design and that Chrysler is still responsible to restore the vehicle to a safe operating condition.

I HAVE ATTACHED THE 6 OUT OF 10 RECALLS THAT DID NOT GET DONE. I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO BUD CLARY'S OF AUBURN IN MARCH OF 2019 AND HAD 4 RECALLS TAKEN CARE OF. I HAVE ADVISED THAT I STILL HAD 6 ORHERS THAT WERE REPORTED BACK IN 2015 THAT I NEVER GOT DONE AND WANTED TO TAKE CARE OF THAT AS WELL. WAS TOLD THAT IT DOES NOT SHOW IN THE SYSTEM AND I WOULD NEED TO CONTACT NHTSA FOR MORE DETAILS. IVE REACHED OUT TO A FEW PEOPLE WHO GAVE ME THE SAME INFORMATION.

PRECISELY ON 7.3.19 I HAD 4 OF MY CHILDREN WITH ME HEADING TO A HOLIDAY PARADE. MY CAR W/O WARNING COMPLETELY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROAD. NO POWER, NO BRAKES, NO STEERING. AIR WAS STILL BLOWING; RADIO STILL PLAYING. MY DAUGHTER AND I PUSHED MY CAR TO THE CURB, MY HUSBAND CAME AND PUSHED MY CAR FURTHER TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS THE CAR RESTARTED AND RESTARTED FINE. DROVE ANOTHER .5 CITY BLOCK; STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, PULLED OUT AND MY CAR DIED AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. DEALERSHIP DID NOT EVEN GIVE US A LOANER WHILE WAITING. THE FOLLOWING APRIL 2017, IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ONLY THEY HAD REPLACE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION. NOW MY VEHICLE JERKS WHEN SWITCHING GEARS AND STALLS RANDOMLY WHEN I COME TO A STOP. I AM AT 76K MILES. THIS NEW TRANSMISSION IS STILL UNDER WARRENTY SINCE IT HAS NOT BEEN A YEAR. THIS CAR IS A LEMON!!! I WILL BE GETTING RID OF IT SOON. I WAS HOPING TO KEEP IT AFTER I PAID IT OFF, BUT I DON'T THINK IT WILL LAST FOR ME TO SEE IT GET PAID OFF! 1. THE DRIVER SEAT BELT DOES NOT STAY LOCKED IN. PERIODICALLY I WOULD PUT THE SEATBELTS ON AND IT WILL UNBUCKLE AS IF IT WASN'T SECURED IN. I HEARD IT CLICK. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. LUCKILY I WAS NOT MOVING AT THE TIME. 2. I RECEIVED AN TUNE UP AT APPROXIMATELY 95K MILES. ONE IF THE PISTONS WAS MISFIRING. I BELIEVE THE 6TH ONE WAS. BRAND NEW PARTS AND WAS INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC. THERE IS A KNOCKING NOISE THAT WILL NOT GO AWAY. THE BELTS HAVE BEEN CHECKED. 3. WHILE OUT OF TOWN I WAS PARKING AND WHILE IN REVERSE IT BECAME HARD TO TURN. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS NO FLUID IN THE POWERSTEERING. THERE WAS A LOW FLUID INDICATION. .I IMMEDIATELY FILLED THE CAR UP WILL POWER STEERING FLUID. SINCE THEN IT HAS BEEN HARDER TO TURN MY WHEEL. IT STARTED OFF I COULD NOT TURN RIGHT WITHOUT A STRUGGLE. MY DODGE JOURNEY HAS LESS THAN 70,000 MILES ON IT. AT THIS POINT THE ENTIRE REAR DRIVE SHAFT AND ALL MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION MOUNTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THEY WERE ALL SEVERELY DAMAGED. TIRES SHOW SIGNIFICANT WEAR EVEN THOUGH VEHICLE IS WITHIN ALIGNMENT STANDARDS. THE FAR LEFT VENT (DRIVER'S SIDE) BLOWS COOL AIR, BUT THE OTHER THREE FRONT VENTS ARE BLOWING HEAT. THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND SIMULTANEOUSLY THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ACTIVATES FOLLOWED BY THE CAR LAUNCHING FORWARD AND THE SERVICE AWD AND ABS LIGHTS ACTIVATING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A CHRYSLER GARAGE WHICH DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM AND SAW THE FAULTS IN THE COMPUTER. HOWEVER THE GARAGE WAS UNABLE TO FORMULATE A SOLUTION. THEY STATED THEY CHECKED ALL THE CONNECTIONS AND RAN THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 160 MILES WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL OCCURRENCES AND RELEASED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY FURTHER REPAIR. 4 DAYS LATER AND APPROXIMATELY 150 MILES THE PROBLEM RECURRED IN A PARKING LOT WHILE BACKING UP WITH THE LIGHTS ACTIVATING IN THE SAME SEQUENCE.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE BRAKES FAILED TO OPERATE, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE WOODS. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A SPRAINED RIGHT ARM THAT NEEDED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE DIAGNOSIS WAS UNDETERMINED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON 3/14/17, HE STOPPED TO HELP A FELLOW OFFICER THAT WAS STRANDED, HE GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND WAS HELPING THE OTHER OFFICER HE SMELLED SMOKE AND LOOKED BACK AND SAW THAT IT WAS OUR CAR ON FIRE. THE FIRE OCCURRED IN THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE DOOR PANEL, HE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME,AFTER HE THOUGHT THE FIRE WAS OUT. THE NEXT DAY HE DROVE THE CAR TO THE AUTO SHOP,WHILE ON THE WAY THERE THE FIRE RESTARTED,HE WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE SAT AT THE DEALER SHIP FOR 13 OR 14 DAYS BEFORE WE FINALLY GOT THE OKAY FROM CHRYSLER TO FIX IT. THE MECAHANICAL PART WAS FIXED, HOWEVER THE SEVER SMELL FROM THE SMOKE,BURNT RUBBER,AND PLASTIC WAS NOT. WE DID TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK,AND THE DEALERSHIP DID DO EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO GET THE SMELL OUT, THE SMELL IS STILL THERE. THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE WE HAVE.SO WE HAVE HAD NO CHOICE, BUT TO DRIVE IT. MY BOYS BOTH HAVE SEVERE ASTHMA AND ALLERGIES, SO RIDING IN A CAR WITH A CONSTANT ODOR OF SMOKE AND BURNT STUFF IS EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY. MY HUSBAND HAS ALSO HAD A COUGH FROM THE SMOKE INHAILATION THAT OCCURRED, HE IS CURRENTLY COUGHING STUFF UP OUTTA HIS LUNGS. I HAVE MADE AT LEAST 20-25 PHONE CALLS TO CHRYSLER, AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ONE BACK, WE HAVE NOT EVEN RECEIVED THE REPORT FROM THE FIRE INSPECTOR THAT THEY SENT. IN DEC 2015 I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND WAS INFORMED THAT ANOTHER NOTICE WOULD BE SENT WHEN I WAS TO CONTACT THE DEALER. THIS IS FOR THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. THE 2ND NOTICE WAS RECEIVED IN JAN16. I CALLED THE DEALER ON 1/4 AND 1/21/16 AND WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE AND DID NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WOULD HAVE THE PART TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE MY NAME AND NUMBER AND PUT ME ON THE WAITING LIST AND CALL ME WHEN THE PART WAS IN. IT IS 3/1/16 AND I HAD NOT HEARD FROM LANDMARK DODGE WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM AND HAD BEEN IN CONTACT WITH. I CALLED THEM TO SEE IF THEY HAD THE PART AND GUESS WHAT THEY SAID THEY JUST HAPPEN TO GET 5 IN TODAY! HOWEVER THEY COULD NOT SCHEDULE THE REPAIR UNTIL 4/1/16. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE BRAKE SYSTEM HERE. 4 MONTHS TO DO A REPAIR THAT THE MANUFACTURER KNEW WAS REQUIRED FOR SAFETY SAKE. I REALLY FEEL THE NHTSA SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS. ALSO THIS IS THE 2ND RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE AND I HAVE NOT EVEN OWNED IT FOR A YEAR YET. THE FIRST WAS THE ENGINE BEAUTY COVER WHICH WE HAD TO WAIT FOR THAT PART ON ALSO. WE HAVE BEEN FORCED TO DRIVE WITH A FAULTY ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE ON THIS VEHICLE FOR AT LEAST 3 MONTHS. AND THAT WAS JUST SINCE WE WERE NOTIFIED. I AM EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF TNE INTERIOR LIGHTING TO INCLUDE THE 4.3-INCH TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAY, THE TS DISPLAY HAS AT TIMES NOT ILLUMINTATED FOR UP TO A FULL MINUTE. ALSO AT TIMES THE INTERIOR LIGHTING WILL DIM FOR NO REASON, NO EXTERNAL LIGHTING HAS CHANGED TO CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN. UCONNECT OFTEN WILL HAVE ISSUES WITH CONNECTING TO PHONE. THE ILLUMINATION ISSUES OCCUR EITHER AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS JUST BEEN STARTED OR IT HAS OCCURED WHILE DRIVING. WE ARE ALSO EXPEREINCING ISSUES WITH THE BRAKE BEING DIFFICULT TO PRESS DOWN ON WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, EITHER WITH THE REMOTE START OR WITHOUT.
