On [XXX], while driving from Delaware to Massachusetts in her 2024 Ford Edge (purchased new in April 2024, now with roughly 19,800 miles on the odometer) on [XXX] in New Jersey, my wife experienced the cloth-panel shade of the "Panoramic Vista Roof" fall onto her. Obviously, this was a complete surprise and very dangerous to her in the control of the vehicle. She stated that about a week prior to the collapse of the shade, there had been some rattling coming from an undetermined area in the car. The Massachusetts Ford Dealer (Balise Ford - Wilbraham, MA) she brought the vehicle to stated the sunroof falling in was "not the result of a material defect." The dealership replaced the roof opening panel at a cost to us of $1120.00. The defective part was not obtained from the dealer after repair. Driving down I96 highway, the sunroof/moonroof shattered/exploded with no apparent cause. A loud popping noise followed by spider cracking and fragmenting glass was the result. After closing the top, the glass started to fall. No foreign objects found. Brand new vehicle, first time driving in severely cold weather, brought back to Ford dealership who found "no reports" of defective sunroof/moonroof. There were no cars in front or any overpasses that something could have been dropped from.

The auto trunk closed on the driver hitting me in the head. This happens every time the hatch is open. There are numerous complains online about this issue and no way to disable the feature.

The car was loaded with mold throughout. We had to trade it in because it could not be repaired. Now I see the car is on a used car lot at same dealer in Elyria Ohio. This is wrong as the mold made me deathly sick. We had to get rid of lit and took a large loss as to not have the vehicle anymore. This is serious. The mold was all over the car and in the vent system. There was still standing water in the spare compartment and floors and glove box. I put a petri dish in the back seat for an hour which I uploaded.

As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle, only coming to a complete stop after partially driving through a storefront. The contact also stated that the forward warning collision system failed to activate. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a storage facility and deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A police report was filed, and injuries were not reported. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by the contact's insurance provider, and a case was opened. Upon investigation, the vehicle's incident recorder showed that the vehicle rapidly accelerated up to 17 MPH and that the contact did not depress the brake pedal. The failure mileage was 6,000.

The contact was driving a 2024 Ford Edge rental vehicle. The contact stated that while traveling in stop-and-go traffic the rental vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle crash. The rental vehicle was crashed into from the rear and pushed into a second vehicle. A third vehicle was then pushed into the rental vehicle causing the rental vehicle to be pushed into a guard rail and roll down a hill. During the crash, the front driver's side air bag did not deploy. The contact sustained left leg, lumbar, neck, and abdomen injuries that later required medical treatment. One additional injury was reported from a second vehicle included in the crash. No further information was available. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed to the local towing yard. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 3,000.

The contact stated while driving at slow speeds out of her driveway, the contact felt an abnormal sensation in the accelerator pedal, prompting the contact to look down to the floorboard. Upon looking up, the contact realized that the vehicle was reversing. The contact became aware that the vehicle had shifted into the reverse independently. The vehicle then struck the garage door, resulting in minor damages to the vehicle and garage door. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 100.

The contact rented a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated while parked uphill and shifted into reverse, the vehicle violently moved forward. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal for the vehicle to reverse; however, the vehicle continued to roll forward. The brake pedal was depressed and at the same time the accelerator pedal was depressed violently, and the vehicle started to reverse. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted; however, and a Live Representative was unavailable, and a voicemail was left. The contact stated that Enterprise Rental was notified of the failure. I have a 2024 Ford Edge SEL. The issue is the the driver front and passenger front head rests. The head rest is only adjustable up to down, not forward or back. The current position of the head rest with the seat in normal upright driving position forces your head into your chest and you are looking at the floor with no neck support. There is no position to adequately support your head and neck with the current headrest. It is tilted too far forward toward the windshield. Dealer confirmed. Dealer looked it over and said this is how its made. No warnings. Just the position of the headrest appears to be tilted extraordinarily too far forward. High potential for injury in a crash. What I'd like to see is an alternate Headrest to alleviate the angle the current one poses upon the drive rand passenger.

The drivers side power seat motor appears to be malfunctioning. When the seat is moved, the motor makes a grinding/vibrating noise. It appears to be a defective motor. Ford dealer inspected the car today, and reported upon checking there were no codes when scanned, so the seat could not be repaired. There is concern for safety, as this is the drivers side seat and if the power motor stops functioning after the seat is moved, the driver will be unable to safely drive the vehicle.

The contact stated that the base was attached; however, the back of the bench moved and wiggled when the hand was placed anywhere on the bench. The contact stated that the seat was not secured, and it was not safe to install the car seat on the bench. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent at first but had become a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V315000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that employees occasionally reported that while reversing, the center display was blank. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer; however, the contact was informed that parts were not yet available, and the vehicle could not yet be repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 4,700. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the liftgate opened independently. While washing the vehicle with a brush and touching the bumper, the liftgate opened. While placing groceries in the tailgate, the tailgate closed and struck the contact on the head. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who determined that the intended liftgate opening and that the vehicle worked as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 5,996.

The liftgate has a sensor so that you can place you foot under the vehicle to open or close the liftgate. The sensor is too sensitive and even if do not put your foot under the vehicle the liftgate closes on your head or shoulder when you are putting things in or out of the rear area. The liftgate caused a bruise. We took the vehicle in for repair and they said the sensors were fine.the is very dangerous and can cause serve injuries.

Vehicle has hands free liftgate operation by waving feet under bumper. The liftgate will also close if you are loading cargo toward front of compartment and your feet inadvertently trigger sensor. The closing tone is weak and cannot be heard if there is any outside noise. Liftgate has closed on my back at least 4 times and my wife at least 3 times in the 4 weeks we have had the vehicle. If a small child were to be climbing in the back with the hatch open they could be seriously injured or even killed by the closing hatch. Even if an adult happens to have their hand in the hatch opening and the hatch inadvertently closed undetected serious injury could occur. I see no conceivable reason for having the hatch close by waving your feet under the bumper. The electric hatch can be disabled, but there are no provisions to disable only the motion auto open/close feature. I contacted Ford Customer Care and they filed an internal report and suggested I file a complaint with NHTSA.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a backfire coming from the engine. The contact stated that the engine overheated and seized. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that failure had occurred within 30 seconds. The vehicle was restarted; however, the engine seized within 30 seconds. The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle was restarted, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer. The failure was not duplicated. The contact requested that the dealer keep the vehicle to continue diagnostic testing. The contact stated that previously the vehicle was taken to the dealer because of an abnormal fuel odor. The vehicle was diagnosed with purge valve failure. The purge valve was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, several warning lights illuminated, and the contact heard a ticking sound coming from the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed a burning odor before the engine seized. The vehicle failed to restart as intended. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with serpentine belt and pulley failures. The serpentine belt and the pulley were replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact was informed that the serpentine belt had been shredded to pieces. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. In addition, the contact requested a buy-back. The failure mileage was 19,037.

Good day. I purchased a 2024 Ford Edge SEL in March 2024. I would like to call your attention to the vehicle's horn. I was unable to alert a truck driver who was backing up that he was going to back inro my car. The horn for the vehicle is extremely weak, in fact too weak to be audible to a driver in front of you who has their car windows closed. It is inaudible in that instance nor is it audible over traffic noise or rain. In my case, the only thing that stopped the truck continuing its reversing was my vehicle - he couldn't continue moving. It resulted in $5,800.00 front-end damage to my vehicle.

The driver's side view mirror glass has been distorted/warped since I bought the vehicle new. It jeopardizes my safety every time I drive the vehicle as I feel like I need extra time to focus when looking at my mirror because of the distortion. I have taken my vehicle to 2 different Ford dealerships, 1 said that they didn't see an issue and the other one verbally said that they could see some distortion but it did not justify them to do a replacement but that glass degrades over time and to just ask them to check the mirror next time when I get an oil change so that they can test to see if it's bad enough to justify a replacement. They would not give me that statement in writing. Also, as I write this I have a friend whose from out of State visiting me and they rented a car (same exact car, a 2024 Ford Edge) and I looked at the driver's side mirror on that one and the glass was perfect... So I now know for a fact my vehicle has defective glass and Ford doesn't want to do anything about it, instead my family and my safety is jeopardized each and every time I drive the vehicle due to a blurry driver's side mirror. I wish I could get a good picture of it but the distortion doesn't show up on my camera, but it is indeed there. It's hard to explain but when I look at it, it's as if I'm wearing out of focus glasses and as I mentioned earlier, I don't feel that's safe.

1. This issue is with the image produced by the backup camera as its image is dim and not very clear, especially at night. At daytime the image is also dim. I had 3 previous models of the same Ford Edge Titanium 2013, 2016 & 2019 all had a similar backup camera albeit with the image on a smaller screen and never had an issue with the brightness/ clarity of the image. The issue I'm reporting is on a brand new 2024 Ford Edge Titanium with a much larger and screen, the car has 850 miles on it as of today, the issue was apparent from day one after I took delivery but took it in to investigate the issue on 9/13/2023 - 2. It is becomes very obvious that something is wrong every time I back up from my driveway at night, the same poorly lit image appears. This a serious issue. - 3. I took it into the dealership where I bought it from. They could see my complaint and even compared it to a 2023 model, the images were the same, dim. The service department reported to me today that they discussed my issue with Ford who had no fix for it nor did they hear of such a complain before and suggested that the brightness on the screen be adjusted which the dealer technician did but did not produce any change to the image. - 4. No warning lights or signs of malfunction appeared on the screen before or after.
