There have been several signal within system to have beyond service diagnostic and this have gone through many GMC SERVICE CENTERS EVERY TIME I HAVE SERVICE ARE NO ISSUES TO PROVIDE EVERY TIME AFTER THERE ARE MANY CONTINUED ISSUES ARISE. DEACTIVATIONS ARE OCCURRING MORE FREQUENT THAN BEFORE PURCHASE.CONSTANT PLAY WITH COMPUTER SYSTEM.

As per Tread Act that confirms reimbursement for recalled items, I replaced the Takata airbag on 09/18/2019 after a recall issue by NHTSA, but prior to GMC manufacture initiating the repair. General Motors refused to reimburse the cost of the replacement of the airbag. Under Tread Act the manufacturer is required to reimburse any repair prior to actual recall.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2011 GMC YUKON FROM MY PARENTS. THEY ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS. THIS VEHICLE WAS KEPT UNDER THIER CARPORT AND NOT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. THE DASHBOARD HAS MULITPLE CRACKS. MOST CONCERNING IS THE CRACKS NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. WHAT IF I WERE IN AN ACCIDENT, THE DASHBOARD COULD BECOME SHRAPNEL IMPALING MYSELF OR MY PASSENGER. ALSO THE DEFECTIVE DASHBOARD COULD SPLINTER AND PUNCTURE THE AIRBAG MAKING THEM INEFFECTIVE. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND EVEN LAWSUITS. I AM APPALLED TO KNOW YOU AND GMC ARE AWARE OF THE RISKS OF THE CRACKED DASHBOARD CAUSING GREAT BODILY HARM OR DEATH. YOU AND GMC HAVE DONE NOTHING TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. THERE IS A LARGE CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD. THE CRACK IS LOCATED OVER THE AREA OVER THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG WHICH IS A SAFETY CONCERN. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE DOOR LOCKS BEGAN TO CYCLE, NAV SYSTEM AND RADIO ON AND OFF. AFTER STOPPED, REMOTE CAR LOCK INOPERATIVE, TRIED TO START VEHICLE AND THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF ANY ELECTRICAL POWER WITH THE KEY ON....I THOUGHT IS WAS A DEAD BATTERY. AFTER CYCLING THE IGNITION KEY SEVERAL TIMES, ELECTRICAL POWER CAME BACK TO 'NORMAL' AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR HOME WITH MY WIFE AND GRANDDAUGHTER. THE SVC AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON AND I TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE GMC DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. THE SERVICE ADVISER IMMEDIATELY KNEW OF THE PROBLEM.....BAD BATTERY CABLES THAT EITHER HAVE INTERNAL CORROSION OR BREAK. $594 REPAIR BILL TO FIX THE PROBLEM. HE SAID HE SEES ABOUT ONE VEHICLE PER WEEK WITH THIS PROBLEM AND THE ISSUE IS WELL PRESENTED ON YOUTUBE BY MANY VIDEOS DESCRIBING THE PROBLEM. SUBSTANDARD BATTERY CABLES ARE BEING USED ON THESE VEHICLES AND AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THEY EITHER BEGIN THE BREAK OR HAVE INTERNAL CORROSION AND BEGIN TO SHORT THE VEHICLES CONTROLLING COMPUTERS. THE CAR SEAT WARMER IN THE BACK OF THE CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE OUR SEVEN YEAR OLD WAS ASLEEP IN THE CAR. HE WAS IN HIS BOOSTER SEAT. THE SEAT WARMER WAS NOT ON. (THIS WAS IN AUGUST 2018.) I HAVE A 2011 GMC YUKON, I RECENTLY LEARNED FROM GMC THAT THEY HAVE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES BY WHERE THEY SHUT OFF RANDOMLY WHEN AN RFID KEY TAG IN OR AROUND THE VEHICLE INTERRUPTS THE VEHICLES ELECTRONICS. OUR VEHICLE HAS TURNED ITSELF OFF ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHICH HAS CREATED A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY DRIVING OUR YUKON. GMC DISCOVERED/REPORTED THIS ISSUE INTERNALLY IN JUNE OF 2015, AND OUR DEALERSHIP RELUCTANTLY PROVIDED ME WITH A COPY OF THE GMC BULLETIN (SEE ATTACHED). GM SAYS THEY CANNOT FIX THE ISSUE AND WILL NOT REPURCHASE OUR VEHICLE. GM SAYS IT IS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN BUT WILL NOT PUT THAT IN WRITING, THEIR EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK DOES NOT PERMIT THEM TO PUT MATTERS LIKE THIS IN WRITING AS IT CAN BE USED AGAINST THEM IN THE EVENT OF A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. I'VE CONTACTED EVERY LEVEL WITHIN GM, UP TO THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE, IN AN ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE AND THEY HAVE RUN ME IN CIRCLES AND DENIED THE KNOW PROBLEM IS A RISK TO THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY. THIS MESSAGING WAS REPORTED DOWN FROM THE GM EXECUTIVE LIAISON, LAWANDA DEAN, FROM A MAN NAMED ROD (WILL NOT DISCLOSE HIS LAST NAME) WHO IS THE REGIONAL MANAGER OF GMC, OVER CALIFORNIA. I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHY THIS IS NOT A RECALLABLE ISSUE, WHY GM IS ALLOWED TO NOT FIX SUCH AN ISSUE AND IF THE NHTSA WILL ASSIST ME WITH THIS MATTER. HAD GMC TOLD ME THAT MY YUKON WOULD RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WE NEVER WOULD HAVE PURCHASED IT.

THE NHTSA WEBSITE SHOWS THAT FOR OUR VIN CAMPAIGN 14V827000 CALLS FOR ITS IGNITION SWITCH TO BE INSPECTED AND POSSIBLY REPLACED. PITRE GMC IN ALBUQUERQUE SAYS THAT THEIR INTERNAL LIST (VIS?) DOES NOT INCLUDE THIS RECALL, SO THEY WILL NOT DO THE INSPECTION. I HAVE HAD NO SYMPTOMS OF A PROBLEM. I JUST WANT TO PREVENT A POSSIBLE FUTURE SAFETY ISSUE. AT 50K MILES A CRACK IN THE DASH HAD BEGUN. NOW AT 80K THERE IS A CRACK ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VENT IN THE CENTER OF THE DASH. AT ABOUT 3 YEARS OF AGE THE DASHBOARD BEGAN TO CRACK. IT MEANDERED THROUGH THE DASHBOARD AND SOON WILL BE EFFECTIVELY SPLITTING THE DASHBOARD IN HALF WITH A THOROUGH CRACK. THE CAR IS NOW 5 YEARS OLD.

THE DASHBOARD HAS PROGRESSIVELY BEING CRACKING FOR OVER A YEAR. IT HAS NOW BECOME VERY BAD IN TWO AREAS. ABOVE THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE AND ALL AROUND THE HOUSING ABOVE THE ODOMETERS THERE ARE SEVERAL LONG CRACKS. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THE SPREADING RATE WILL INCREASE WITH PIECES POSSIBLY CREAKING OFF AND SHOULD AN ACCIDENT OCCUR THAT SHARD'S OF PLASTIC COULD INJURY PASSENGERS OR MY CHILDREN. THE DASHBOARD HAS SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED IN TWO LOCATIONS AFTER SITTING IN OUR GARAGE. A 6" CRACK HAS NO FORMED OVER THE CURVED INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DISPLAY ON DRIVER SIDE AND A 1" CRACK HAS OCCURRED NEAR THE AIR BAG COVER CORNER ON PASSENGER SIDE. I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED THAT SHOULD THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOY THAT THE SECTION OF DASH NOW UNATTACHED WILL BE SEND FLYING INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT CAUSING A FATAL WOUND. THIS IS NOW THE 2ND VEHICLE I HAVE PURCHASED WHERE THIS HAS OCCURRED. THERE IS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY DEFECT IN THE DASHBOARD OF THE FULL SIZE GM TRUCK/SUV PLATFORM AND A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HWY ON APPROXIMATELY 04/08/2020 I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THEN A TICKING SOUND. I PULLED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO LOOK AT THE MOTOR TO FIND THAT 4 OF MY EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS WERE BROKEN OFF. BOTH OF THE FRONT AND REAR BOLTS ON BOTH MANIFOLDS WERE MISSING AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE EXHAUST PORT WAS LEAKING. AFTER TAKING IT TO A SHOP TO BE LOOKED AT, THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH GM V8 ENGINES AND HAS BEEN FOR YEARS. THIS ISSUE COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF SOMEONE GETS OUT OF THEIR VEHICLE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THEY OR ANOTHER OPERATOR ISN'T PAYING ATTENTION, SOMEONE COULD GET RUN OVER. I DON'T HAVE ANY PICTURES AS MY SUV IS IN THE SHOP BEING REPAIRED.

The contact owns a 2011 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while driving at 60-65 MPH, the check engine warning light, the ABS warning light, the emergency parking brake warning light, the stability tract warning light, the warning indicator “Service Brake System” and other unknown warning lights illuminated. The brake pedal was depressed but felt rigid and failed to respond. The contact depressed the brake pedal with more pressure, but it hesitated to respond, causing 40 feet in stopping distance delay. The contact continued to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the EBCM module, the BPCM module and the valve ABS unit needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure had been reoccurring while driving. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 131,814.

ABS BRAKE PROBLEM. REOCCURRING ENGINE PROBLEMS SUCH AS MISFIRE, LOW CYLINDER COMPRESSION, AFM LIFTERS, CAMSHAFT, FUEL MIX AND BRAKE SWITCH CAUSES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. THIS CAUSES STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL TO BE TURNED OFF. DISCUSSIONS WITH SEVERAL MECHANICS INDICATED A NEW ENGINE WOULD BE THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. EVEN WITH A NEW ENGINE, THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUES TO BE "ON" AND STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL CONTINUE TO GO ON AND OFF, AND LIVING IN MI IT IS CONCERNING ME THAT I MAY LOSE THESE BRAKING FUNCTIONS WHEN I NEED THEM. GMC HAS OFFERED NO SOLUTIONS. MANY, MANY FORUM DISCUSSIONS ON THE WEB INDICATE OWNERS SUCH AS ME SHOULD CREATE A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT, AS THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE A 2011 YUKON HYBRID 2WD. ON AUGUST 234D, 2014 MY (XXX) YEAR OLD SON AND I WERE RUNNING ERRANDS WHILE EN ROUTE TO HIS BIRTHDAY PARTY. AT OUR FIRST DESTINATION HE NOTICED SOME FLUID LEAKING FROM UNDER THE YUKON AND SAID HE HEARD A HISSING SOUND. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST CONDENSATION AND CONTINUED ON. WHEN EXITING THE VEHICLE AT OUR SECOND DESTINATION I NOTICED A LOT OF FLUID TRAILING WHERE I HAD JUST DRIVEN THE YUKON. UPON EXITING THE PARKING LOT THE BRAKES TURNED TO MUSH (THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH NO RESISTANCE) AND I HAD NO BRAKING CAPABILITIES. I PULLED OFF INTO A PARKING SPACE AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK. WHEN IT WAS TAKEN TO GMC ,THE MECHANIC FOUND THE BRAKE LINE TO BE BROKEN AND WE HAD TO COVER THE FULL COST FOR THE REPAIR. ON MAY 29TH 2015 A SIMILAR INCIDENT OCCURRED. I WAS DRIVING THE YUKON TO DROP MY CHILDREN OFF AT SCHOOL AND UPON APPROACHING THE DROP-OFF ZONE I PUSHED ON THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN AND I LOST ALL BRAKING CAPABILITIES AS THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO RESISTANCE. THE STABILITRACK MAINTENANCE LIGHT CAME ON AFTER. IN BOTH INCIDENTS, THERE WAS NO WARNING. 2011 2-WD YUKON XL 1500 ENGINE STALL. TOOK DELIVERY 7/1/2011. ON 7/5/2011, WHILE DRIVING AT CITY SPEEDS, ENGINE STALLED (SHUT OFF), WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THIS HAPPENED TWICE CONSECUTIVELY. DID NOT EXPERIENCE AGAIN UNTIL 7/14/2011. THIS TIME WAS DRIVING IN CENTER LANE, 5 LANE FREEWAY, DURING RUSH HOUR AT POSTED 65 MPH SPEED. AGAIN, ENGINE STALLED (SHUT DOWN). DURING 3 CYCLES OF STALL/SHUT DOWN/RESTART, WAS ABLE TO MAKE MY WAY TO RIGHT LANE, DRIVE/COAST TO EXIT RAMP, EXIT FREEWAY AND ENTER A RETAIL PARKING LOT WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT. DURING PROCESS, HEARD A POP/CLICK TO MY LEFT IN THE DASHBOARD. TURNED OFF AIR CONDITIONER, RESTARTED TRUCK AND MADE MY WAY HOME. DURING THIS DRIVE HOME, THE ALTERNATOR/VOLTAGE GAUGE NEEDLE BOUNCED TO EXTREME RIGHT FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, THEN SETTLED BACK CLOSER TO CENTER. PRIOR TO INCIDENT, I HAD NOTICED SAME NEEDLE OCCASIONALLY/ODDLY SLIGHT TO THE LEFT. TRUCK WAS TOWED TO SELLING DEALERSHIP THAT EVENING. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT RAN FULL DIAGNOSTICS AND REPORTED "NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE/OPERATING NORMALLY". THERE ARE NO "CODES" OR ANY "HISTORY CODES" SHOWING ANYTHING ABNORMAL OCCURRED WITH THE VEHICLE. 7/18/2011 OPENED CASE FILE WITH GM, BUT LITTLE ASSISTANCE HAS BEEN OFFERED BY THEM OTHER THAN "WE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP". TRUCK HAS BEEN HOUSED AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW FOR 11 DAYS. WE ARE AT A STALEMATE. OUR POSITION IS THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. DEALERSHIP/GM'S POSITION IS THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THEY HAVE SUGGESTED WE PICK UP THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE IT UNTIL THE PROBLEM OCCURS AGAIN THEN AGAIN HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. MY 5TH CYLINDER EXPLODED. I HAD A P0305 CODE FOR 5TH CYLINDER MISFIRE, TOOK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE COIL PACK ON THAT CYLINDER ON 10/20/2020 AND 01/17/2021 THE 5TH CYLINDER EXPLODED CAUSE CHUNKS OF METAL TO BE THROWN THROUGH THE SIDE AND CAUSE A CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. IT WAS STATIONARY IN A PARKING LOT BUT I WAS JUST ABOUT TO PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE TO DRIVE WHEN I HEAR A NOISE AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH THERE IS CURRENTLY A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THE GM FOR THE HIGH FAILURE RATE OF 2010-2014 YEARS FOR VEHICLES THAT USED THE 5.3LITER ENGINES; THE 6.2 LITER ENGINE, THE ONE IN MY VEHICLE, WAS MANUFACTURED IN THE SAME PLANT AS THE 5.3 LITER. GM FAILED TO DISCLOSE TO THE PUBLIC OF THE KNOWN DEFECT TO THE ENGINES.

TRUCK STARTED SPUTTERING WHILE DRIVING. I HAD IT TOWED HOME AND THEN TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THE LIFTERS IN THE ENGINE WERE BROKE AND THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE CAN SHAFT. TOLD ME THIS IS NORMAL AND HAPPENS TO VEHICLES LIKE MINE REGULARLY. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THE TRUCK THREE YEARS AND HAVE MAINTAINED IT WELL WITH LOW MILEAGE.THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE $6700 TO FIX. WHEN I COMPLAINED, THE REP TOLD ME $5500. I ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR WHO THEN STATED THAT GMC WOULD OFFSET THE COST AND IT WAS NOW $3311. IT WOULD SEEM THAT IF THIS IS A REGULAR OCCURRENCE IN VEHICLES LIKE MINE, GMC WOULD DO SOMETHING TO ENSURE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN. IN ADDITION THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY AVAILABLE FOR THE TAMARA INFLATOR.

I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH THE ANTENNA IN MY TRUCK. THE RADIO IS CONSTANTLY GOING IN AND OUT. MY ONSTAR HAS STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. MY BLUETOOTH DROPS CALLS WITHIN A FEW MIN OF TAKING THE CALL IF I CAN EVEN GET IT TO ANSWER THE CALL. COSMETICALLY THE ISSUES I AM HAVING IS THE DASH HAS A HUGE CRACK RIGHT BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL IT GOES ALL THE WAY ACROSS TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. THE TRUCK WAS PARKED AND RUNNING. IT SUDDENLY BEGAN TO IDLE AS IF SOMEONE WAS PUSHING DOWN ON THE GAS. I IMMEDIATELY SHUT THE CAR OFF. I TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND IT READ "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". IT SEEMED TO DRIVE OK. I CALLED DEALERSHIP AND MADE APT FOR TUESDAY. (IT WAS THURSDAY) THE NEXT DAY I DROVE IT TO LOCAL GARAGE TO READ ENGINE CODE. IT WAS P2135. THE TRUCK THEN STOPPED ACCELERATING. IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 25MPH. IT TOOK ABOUT 2 FULL MIN TO GET IT AT THAT SPEED. WHEN I WOULD BREAK, THE TRUCK WOULD JUMP AS IF DID NOT WANT TO STOP. THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR COVER. I WAS INFORMED THAT GMC IS AWARE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM AND HAS SINCE CORRECTED IT. HOWEVER, THERE IS NO RECALL AS THERE IS NO ALLEGED SAFETY ISSUES. I BELIEVE THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A 1,2, AND 3 YEAR OLD IN THE TRUCK IN RUSH HOUR, IT IS DARK OUTSIDE, AND YOU ARE AN HOUR AWAY FROM HOME IT IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE WHEN YOUR TRUCK WON'T ACCELERATE! The contact owns a 2011 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while attempting to refuel the vehicle at the gas station, fuel was leaking out of the fuel tank. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where the vehicle was lifted. The mechanic then informed the contact that the fuel pump was rusted and that the frame were severely rusted. The contact was informed that the frame was fractured and had holes and was being held up by the body. Additionally, the mechanic informed the contact that the alignment had failed due to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The used car dealer where the vehicle was purchased was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 271,000.

Numerous difficulties have arisen during the process of driving on multiple occasions. The tablet/Radio continues to reset, and the traction control sensor light continues to illuminate. I have communicated with the GMC service center on several occasions, and each time, no issues were found. During an oil change at another dealership, no service recommendations were mentioned, yet a list of offset services was listed on Mopar. As I continued to drive, I noticed that the speed controls were limiting speeds, necessitating self-serviced accelerated drives. This has been ongoing for some time while driving and has required ongoing fuel adjustments. I have received tune-up services, coolant services, fuel services, wheel balancing, and several alignments, which have recently caused significant inconvenience. Routine maintenance has been performed, and the RPM gauge remains constant during operation. Make a unsafe drive.

I am writing to express my concerns and frustrations regarding the recurring issues with my vehicle despite multiple service appointments at Classic GMC Arlington. Despite numerous attempts to address these problems, I continue to experience issues with Continuity of service and performance Fueling system and coolant system problems (twice in six months) Stabilizer link light illumination during startup RPM acceleration while slowing down or stopping Ticking sound from the engine. Each time I bring my vehicle in for service, I am told that there are no issues with the performance, idle, or spark plugs, despite having recently received a full service tune-up. I suspect that there may be intentional damage or tampering with my vehicle, which is causing these persistent problems.I have not had any prior issues or service lights illuminated before, and there were no incidents reported by the previous owners. I believe there may be fraudulent activity involving the manufacturer and service providers. schedule a thorough inspection and diagnosis to address these recurring issues.

I took it back twice and they would not fix it. I have tried calling and talking to people to see what to do. Could you please help me.we used all our money for down payment at time.

When attempting to install car seats on the 3rd row, the seat belts do not remain locked after pulled all the way out. Pulling all the way out should activate the ALR, but it does not. I am unable to seat belt install on my 3rd row which is required when a child is over 40lbs.

I have replaced the battery and alternator. My door locks keep locking and unlocking on the own while driving, all my electrical in my car dim and keep resetting, my gauges are going all over the place. My car will turn itself off. While stopped at a red light, it seems to want to go on its own. While not running, I get in to leave, and my key at times don’t want to turn over. Then at times I try to start it and it will tell me theft control and won’t crank. When I’m out of my vehicle at home, my car will lock itself when the setting is turned off. The problem has been going on for a year but only getting worse now.

ALL OF A SUDDEN MY DASHBOARD WILL LIGHT UP SAYING SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, BRAKE SYSTEM, ABS , PARK ASSIST OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS UP AND BLINKS . I WILL LOOSE MY BRAKES I THEN HAVE TO PUMP MY BRAKES SEVERAL TIMES TO GET TO EVEN SLOW DOWN OR STOP . IT'S ALSO HAPPENED WHEN I AM DRIVING DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET. WHEN I PULL OVER TURN THE TRUCK OFF AND GOES BACK TO NORMAL FOR A SHORT DISTANCE. WEATHER DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A FACTOR OR SPEED. TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY DON'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I WAS DRIVING WITH MY VEHICLE IN AUTO 4WD, BECAUSE WE HAD ICY ROADS. MY VEHICLES REAR DRIVE SLIPPED ON SOME ICE AND THEN I GOT A MESSAGE INDICATING MY STABILIZER SYSTEM WAS NEEDING WORK, THEN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (INSTRUMENTATION DASH) STARTED TO FLASH ON AND OFF. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF MY VEHICLE AND THEN TRIED TO RESTART IT AND IT WOULD NOT START. I TRIED A 2ND TIME AND IT STARTED, PUT IT IN GEAR AND STARTED BACK OUT ON THE ROAD. MY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM STARTED TO GO CRAZY ALL OF THE SUDDEN, ALL THE LIGHTS STARTED TO FLASH, MY POWER DOORS STARTED TO LOCK AND UNLOCK SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE ENGINE STARTED TO ACCELERATE ITS RPM'S, AND DOWN/UP SHIFTING MY GEARS, MY DASH BOARD INSTRUMENTS STARTED FLASHING, HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING FAN WAS SPEEDING UP AND SLOWING DOWN, THEN TURNING ON AND OFF. I THOUGHT MY VEHICLE WAS POSSESSED BY A DEMON REALLY PUTTING A SCARE IN ME. ONE WEEK AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE I BROKE DOWN DUE TO AN OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. TWO WEEKS AFTER THAT I BROKE DOWN (STALLED OUT IN THE ROAD) DUE TO 2 LIFTERS COLLAPSING AND THE CAMSHAFT BEING DAMAGED. AFTER REPLACING ALL LIFTERS, THE CAMSHAFT, SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES, AS WELL AS ANOTHER OIL PRESSURE SENSOR JUST IN CASE THE OTHER ONE WAS BAD I STILL HAVE LOW OIL PRESSURE. THIS COST $3,000.00! I LEFT THE SHOP AND BROKE DOWN ON MY WAY HOME WITH A FLASHING ENGINE LIGHT AND THE STABILITRAK LIGHT AND MESSAGE FLASHING. IT SHOOK SO HARD I THOUGHT IT WOULD EXPLODE IN THE ROAD AND THEN STALLED OUT! IT WAS TOWED BACK TO THE SHOP WHERE IT CONTINUES TO SIT. ITS BEEN THERE 3 WEEKS. ITS BEEN AT THE SHOP LONGER THAN I'VE GOTTEN TO DRIVE IT. AFTER GOOGLING WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM IT APPEARS THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON AND GMC/CHEVROLET IS WELL AWARE OF THE FAULTY ENGINE. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE SLOW LANE BUT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO GO FASTER THAN 35MPH AND THERE WAS HARDLY POWER TO MY GAS PEDAL. LUCKILY, I MADE IT TO AN OFF RAMP, AS I STARTED TO COME TO A STOP, THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH AND IT FELT LIKE IT WAS SHAKING THE VEHICLE BACK AND FORTH. I BARELY MADE IT INTO A EMPTY PARKING LOT AND SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. I MANAGED TO MAKE IT TO MY MECHANIC, WHO GOT A THROTTLE SENSOR CODE FROM THE ENGINE. HE TOLD ME ABOUT A SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT #12273B FROM GMC, REGARDING THIS EXACT ISSUE AND TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO GMC. GMC TOLD ME, MY VEHICLE ISN'T LISTED FOR THIS ADJUSTMENT, EVEN THOUGH, IT SAYS IT SHOULD COVER 2008-20111 GMC YUKONS. APPARENTLY, GMC SAID MY VIN ISN'T LISTED AS HAVING THE FAULTY PART. THE REAR DEFROST WIRES KEPT FALLING OFF OF THE WINDOW. I HAD THEM SOLDERED BACK ON SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL I FINALLY HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE GLASS, BECAUSE THERE WASN'T ENOUGH MATERIAL TO BE ABLE TO RE-SOLDER IT. THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND THE STABILI-TRAC SYSTEM WARNING APPEARED IN THE DIC, THEN THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM WARNING APPEARED IN THE DIC, THEN ENGINE POWER REDUCED BY 16% IN THE DIC. DROVE VEHICLE TO EXIT RAMP AND TURNED ENGINE OFF. VEHICLE RESTARTED WITH ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND NO WARNINGS IN THE DIC. THE ENGINE DID NOT HOWEVER RUN SMOOTHLY. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER WHO CLEAR SOME CODES AND REPLACED THE TPS. CHECKED ALL FUSES. NO FURTHER PROBLEM. HOWEVER A FRIEND HAS THE SAME VEHICLE IN A 2010 MODEL. SAME PROBLEM DEALER REPLACED A THROTTLE BODY. CHECK OUT THE GM FORUM AT [XXX] THIS FORUM SHOWS LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM AND IN SOME CASES CAUSING ACCIDENTS. MY VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON 1-24-2013, AND SO FAR IT APPEARS THAT MY PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED, HOWEVER IT APPEARS GM IS NOT REALLY FIXING THE PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THERE WAS A LOUD GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL BEARING SEIZED AND AS A RESULT, THE WHEEL BEARING, CALIPERS AND ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT HIM AT A LATER DATE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11,000.

CAR WAS PARKED IN AN OPEN PARKING LOT FOR MORE THAN 7 HOURS IN BELOW FREEZING WEATHER (LESS THAN 20 F) WEATHER WITH HIGH WIND. WHEN THE ENGINE WAS STARTED IN THE EVENING, THE DASHBOARD DISPLAYED "SERVICE STEERING; SERVICE BATTERY". WHEN SHIFTED IN REVERSE THE STEERING WOULD NOT RESPOND AND BEHAVED LIKE IT WAS LOCKED. I PURCHASED A RADIAN 80SLMODEL # US18500 ABOUT 6 MONTHS OR SO AGO AND I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH IT COMING LOSE WITH THE LATCH SYSTEM AND SEATBELT. I DISCONTINUED USING IT AND HAD TO BUY A REPLACEMENT SEAT FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. I NEVER COULD GET THE SEATBELT TO TIGHTEN ENOUGH TO NOT MOVE A GREAT AMOUNT. THE LATCH SYSTEM WAS THE SAME. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 55-60 MPH AND TRYING TO APPLY THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHIMMY. HE DID NOT HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HE FELT THAT IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT ILLUMINATED TWICE. FURTHERMORE, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED "HARD" AT TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD RETURN HIS CALL. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 325.
