Both tail lights fail. I just bought this vehicle at Ewald Automotive in Oconmowoc Wi a month ago with 100k and I know they were aware of the problem and so is GMC. I am not paying 900 bucks for each tail light. They are absolute junk. The left side someone already messed with it because there is electrical tape on it. Ewald laughed in my face.

The taillights started to randomly go in and out. The driver side taillight stopped working but the passenger side taillight still worked. Then a day later the driver side taillight worked, but the passenger side taillight didn’t work. The next day we were going to look into this issue, and the driver and passenger side taillights were working, so we halted. We kept an eye on it and they seemed to continue to work for a few days with no issues, so drove it 20 miles to work. When I left work it was dark and I had a coworker check my brake lights before leaving and the running lights and brake lights were indeed working. By the time I arrived at home, I had no running or brake lights. This is and was a danger to others and myself as this could’ve caused an accident driving and the taillights going out. The truck did not give a warning message that I had no taillights.

Both tail lights have stopped working. I purchased in 2019 with 60k miles and by the time the first tail light failed, I was over the 72k limit. If these lights failing was an issue before, it still is an issue and the special warranty should be extended to ensure replacement of faulty items.

While I’m parked or even driving I keep getting a alert on my speedometer ( Trailer Break System ) and it’s not a 1 time alert the whole time I’m driving it’s constantly alerting me yet I don’t even use my Trailer system at all, it’s concerning due to the distraction of trying to clear the screen constantly while I’m on the high way.

My breaks stop working in drive through, pulling in parking spots, backing out, slow speed of traffic. I found out it's the power break vacuum pump. It then says Service brakes on my dash when it occurs. This started about 2 weeks ago.

I have owned this vehicle almost 6 years, 40,000 when purchased used. Since purchase, we have had multiple issues with the trailer brake system randomly going off, dinging non stop, we had the problem serviced under our warranty and is now going off again. We do not tow but a few times every summer which is our jet skis however. This has happened multiple times prior to us using our warranty, the garage says they fix it but it keeps happening. I am very frustrated that I can't drive my vehicle down the road without a continues dinging. I looked up what "trailer brake system" means and found that it can be very dangerous and GMC's are known to have this problem, it is suggested that I lodge a complaint in hopes of getting this problem resolved from the manufacturer before a driver becomes seriously injured when the braking system decides to fail. I have read complaint after complaint. My warranty is now expired as I recently rolled over 100,000 miles, the GMC garage told me the part was around $78 but over $400 with install, ridiculous! I have already replaced this part a little over a year ago, I went to the garage where the warranty work was performed and got all the paperwork. Why has this problem not been categorized as a recall at this point? Something isn't right!

I was driving down the highway and out of no where I hear this loud kaboom! I ducked thinking something just hit me and pull over but here glass tinkling around. I automatically know it is my sunroof so I get out and look and my sunroof exploded. (Looked like it was pushed up.) Luckily I had the inside part shut or I and my passenger would have been covered in glass.

THE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM DISPLAYS ON DASH EVERY 10 SECONDS, KEEPS ON DINGING LOUD AND WILL NOT CLEAR WHILE IM DRIVING.. IT JUST STARTED OUT OF KNOWHERE AND I NEVER USED THE TRAILER SYSTEM OR TOWED ANYTHING SINCED I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK. I SAW SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON THIS SAME ISSUE/PROMBLEM. i JUST SPENT NEARLY $800 ON FRONT BRAKES AND ROTORS. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET TO GET THIS RESOLVED. GM NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!!! LIKE I MENTION, I NEVER USED THE TRAILER SYSTEM AT ALL AND NEVER WILL. I DRIVE A 2015 YUKON DENALI SUV, BEEN HAVING PROBLEM ALSO WITH THE JERKING OF THE VEHICLE WHEN ITS PUT IN DRIVE. 1) Wiring harness to the wireless charging pad on the center console that is wired through the door hinge. Shorts out when opening or closing center console. 2) Caused a fire that led to smoke and melted components inside center console hinge. Caused smoke and awful plastic burning smell while my kids and I were parked. I had just started the vehicle. My two kids and I had to jump and run from the vehicle. 3) No, but by many forums that dealers and mechanics are aware of this issue and charges you hundreds to fix it when it is MANUFACTURE ERROR. 4) This vehicle has been inspected many times. By all the other inspection laws Missouri has in place. How has it gotten passed many times with this known issue? 5)NO! This put mine and my kids life at risk. It is a known and wide issue yet no one takes this seriously. As it just affected me and my two children, I hope this is taken seriously. Hold manufactures responsible and dealers for selling vehicles with these known issues. Protect people.

Air intake stayed on after shutting vehicle off and locked. It seemed it was in auto start mode from the key fob. Now it is hesitating to go and struggling to switch gears. Local mechanic is unable to pinpoint issue. Will bring to GMC dealership next. The rear camera intermittently works. If you open and close it sometimes it will fix it. USB ports intermittently work. Both taillights had to be replaced due to intermittently going out. Both front heated seats only work on top.

The problem initially started around August 19th when my daughter was driving the SUV. It started suddenly flashing multiple service problems ex trailer brake service, park assist service and stability track service. It started flashing them over and over every second and the engine would rev up then slow down which continued even after she was able to pull over and get it into park. It was terrifying for her. We had the vehicle towed to GMC. GMC felt the electrical problems were due to the fuse box so they replaced the entire fuse box and changed all the fuses. Last week, my daughter again was driving home on the highway and the vehicle started doing the same warning but also displayed several more warnings and the car was lurching forward and slowing down over and over again despite trying to maintain a safe speed. She was close to home and thankfully made it safely home. I drove the car the next morning a few miles to see what was going on and it started doing the same thing with alerts, servicing cycling through the dashboard and the speed and rpm kept revving up and slowing down, I could not maintain a steady slow speed as it seemed like the car was braking every few seconds so it kept lurching forward out of control. We had the car again towed to the same GMC. This time GMC changed out all the battery cables going to and from the batter itself. My husband picked up the car a few days later after being told the problem had been fixed. Within a couple miles of leaving the dealership (and thankfully before getting on the highway) the car started again with the lurching, revving and continuous flashing of a multitude of service alerts/failures. GMC had the car towed back to the service center where it has remained as they run more diagnostic tests. We are concerned that there is a serious electrical problem that they have been unable to figure out on this vehicle which has put each of us at serious safety risk when trying to drive it.

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel became stiff and difficult to maneuver. The contact stated that while making a turn, the steering functionality momentarily returned however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel stiffened and became difficult to maneuver then remained stiff. The power steering assist warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the electrical power steering failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was then advised to take the vehicle to the dealer and informed that the vehicle was included in a recall and provided the NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V719000 (Steering) however, the dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

The transmission failed at 59,700 miles. The transmission will shift up and down by itself. The transmission is revving up when trying to pass and the vehicle will go limp for a few seconds and then the gear with kick in really hard. In stop and go traffic the transmission slips constantly and could cause an accident due to the limp mode.

My vehicle started out with a rumble and driving rough. Then it started jumping out of gear. Took it to Transmission shop and they said the have had a lot of SUV’s of the same model with the same problem. It was the transmission. Had it fixed, with a hefty price of 4,900 dollars.

Today my GMC Yukon, lurked forward so hard it hurt my neck, shoulders, and back, I know this is dangerous and has happened before, the lurches are becoming more forceful and powerful and I'm afraid now of driving it far or distance, I don't want anything to happen to me or my family while driving, I must be able to get to appointments etc. This today scares me really bad and I need help with this vehicle...Had I not braked quick I would have been in the pond in front of me the lurk was hard pain shot from back to neck and I went forward, had on my seat belt loges...If not better in the morning I will seek medical attention, I'm really hurting...GMC said noting wrong on both occasions I asked when it was mild in 2019, again 2023, nothing...no...also no warning lights are on

Transmission failure. Remanufactured transmission installed at 160,000 miles. Transmission started shifting abruptly and failed completely on interstate 26 in South Carolina. Had to limp home in a lower gear. Towed to a repair shop for complete replacement with a remanufactured GM transmission Total repair $4500. No warning indication of the problem, thankfully my wife was not driving this vehicle at the time. No inspection except by mechanic who stated based on his experience we got 10,000 miles more than normal for a GM 6L80 transmission. He also stated his shop replaced 5 of those transmissions in the month of August 2022. Documentation available on request.

Transmission Code P0700 and P0796 ( pressure control) I was on the Interstate and my 2015 GMC YUKON SLT Engine locked up and shift down to 2nd gear. Causing other cars to almost hit me from behind and possibly causing an accident. I had to quickly veer off on the side of the road so that they wouldn’t hit the back of me. Immediately my engine light came on. Didn’t have this problem prior to the breakdown. Brought it to GMC dealership they told me my torque converter was bad along with Computer TCM and Valve body. They said I need a new transmission. My SUV have 132k miles. I called around at other transmission shops and they ALL said they are getting 3-4 GMC YUKONS in to fix a week and knew exactly what the problem was with SUV. They couldn’t understand why GMC wasn’t correcting the problem. Also, last year had to replace the Cam Shaft, Lifters and Catalytic Convertor that’s was $6000 now they tell me $5500 for Transmission. That’s $12000+ in repair in lease than 1.5 years. Never have I had this much major problem on a vehicle. This is a major safety issue especially on interstate.

While driving my 2015 GMC Yukon Denali on the highway, the vehicle suddenly began shaking and lost power. I immediately exited the highway for safety and had to “nurse” the vehicle about two miles at 10–15 mph to reach home. The vehicle would no longer run afterward. A mechanic later diagnosed a lifter and camshaft failure. This is a known and common issue with GM 5.3L and 6.2L engines that poses a serious safety risk when it occurs at highway speeds. No warning lights or prior symptoms were present before the failure. I did not report it to the dealer, but the vehicle had to be towed to a mechanic for diagnosis. The vehicle is available for inspection.

6.2L engine, collapsed hydraulic lifter AFM failure, required $7400 in total repairs. All lifters, camshaft, high pressure fuel lines, high pressure fuel pump, intake manifold & miscellaneous parts and gaskets replaced by selling Dealer at 94000 miles. No help of any kind from GM or Dealer. This is a WELL KNOWN FAILURE FOR THESE ENGINES!

Started my 2015 Yukon XL, drove approximately 6 miles to get gas and was to head out onto the highway. After gassing up and starting engine it began to idle very rough with a shake going on and ticking noise. No previous signs of any issues. Slowly drove back to my house at 20 miles an hour and called Mandal GMC dealership. They suggested having it towed to them for inspection. Upon inspection they said the AFM/DOD #1 exhaust lifter was bad and needed replaced. They replaced all of Bank one lifters and said their was no damage to camshaft. Drove it that night after repairing it and everything seemed fine. They called the next morning and said when they started it up the ticking was back again. They then supposedly took off head cover and inspected the camshaft again and said it was damaged and I would need a new engine to the tune of $18,000.00. I purchase it in 2021 from them use and paid $33,000.00 and now still owe even more than the engine repair. I said it would cost more than the vehicle was worth and they had done $4,000.00 of repair that didn’t even get the issue fixed. I am a senior on Social Security and can not afford to continue to pay 20,000.00 for the loan and then another $18,000.00 for a faulty engine design that caused the problem in the first place. May have to join the thousands of others in the class action to get GM to not put out such untrustworthy engineering. Now $37,000.00 piece of Yard Sculpture !! The morning that it occurred was the first sign of flashing engine warning on dash.

The Yukon was driving normally and just lost power while driving 55mph on the highway. Then I got off the highway to pull over and check it out and the Yukon started shaking while running and in Park. The truck would not drive over 30mph without shaking and what sounds like misfiring.

With my child in the car, on a highway with no shoulder, I experienced lifter failure. It caused the vehicle shake and lose power with cars driving behind me at 55-60 MPH with nowhere to pull over. The engine just stopped as I was finally able to make it to a driveway safely. Problem was identified by dealership and my engine had to be rebuilt. I purchased the car second hand 3 months prior with no warning or symptoms. The car was inspected at the dealership by the extended warranty company rep. The extended warranty only cover a portion of the cost. The collapsed lifter cause damage to the camshaft and bent rods. The car only had 107,000 miles. If I were not able to pull off before the engine stopped, my daughter and I could’ve easily got rear ended on a Major state highway. The car was difficult to control due to the engine shaking the entire SUV.

Fuel pump leak. our cabin fills up with exhaust causing myself and my 3 young kids (1,3,5) to start coughing, eyes and throat burning, headaches & a hard time breathing. confirmed by GMC dealer in concord & separate auto shop. They told us it had a recall and that they couldn't fix it after paying them to diagnose it since it was recall. Now GMC dealer is telling us that the problem and recall exists for other 2015 Yukon models but our VIN # Is not included and that's why they never fixed the problem that I've been complaining about since I bought the truck (dont remember exact purchase date but the vehicle was new and under warranty for years). I've taken it to the dealership 3 times for the same problem (exhaust smell in cabin) and they kept saying it's fine. Now it's so bad that we can't drive it because it makes us feel sick.

RAW FUEL FUMES INSIDE THE CAB AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. AFTER LOOKING UNDER THE VEHICLE THERE IS A SLOW BUT STEADY FUEL LEAK FROM THE GAS TANK. I BELIEVE IT IS THE PLASTIC FUEL LINE THAT HAS WORN A HOLE IN ITSELF FROM RUBBING ON ANOTHER OBJECT.

TAIL LAMPS WOULD INTERMITTENTLY OPERATE. AT TIMES NONE WOULD WORK AT OTHERS SOME WOULD WORK. AND OTHERS ALL WOULD WORK. GMC FINALLY ADDRESSES THIS WITH: N182180270 (SPECIAL COVERAGE). GMC WAS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE ON OR PRIOR TO NOVEMBER 26, 2019. THEY STATED NOTIFICATIONS TO CUSTOMERS WOULD BEGIN ON DECEMBER 12, 2019. I WAS NOTIFIED TODAY 2-12-2020 WELL AFTER GMC WAS AWARE OF ISSUES. GMC ALLOWS FOR WARRANTY OF 6 YEARS AFTER PLACED IN SERVICE OR 72,000 MILES. SINCE MY VEHICLE HAD 902 MILES AT TIME OF PURCHASE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 72,902 MILES. HAD GMC MADE ME AWARE IN DECEMBER OR TOO AFTER KNOWING IN LATE NOV 2019 I WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN UNDER WARRANTY FOR A RESOLUTION TO FIX ISSUES. THERE WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE IN FAILING TO NOTIFY ME HINDERED THEIR AVAILABLE WARRANTY UNDER SPECIAL COVERAGE OF NO USE TO ME TO MY DETRIMENT OF SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS (~$1800 USD).

REAR BRAKE LIGHT ASSEMBLY FAILING TO LIGHT WHEN BRAKES APPLIED AND THERE IS NOT A NOTIFICATION TO THE DRIVER. THIS IS A MANUFACTURE FLAW WITH THE LED LIGHT CIRCUIT INSIDE THE ASSEMBLY. THERE IS NOT A LIGHT OUT NOTIFICATION SO THE DRIVER IS NOT AWARE THE BRAKE LIGHT HAS FAILED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IS AN WELL KNOWN ISSUE ON THE 2015-2019 YUKON. THIS IS OCCURRING OFTEN AND GMC IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH SUPPLYING REPLACEMENTS BECAUSE THE DEMAND IS SO HIGH FROM THE FAILURE. GMC HAS ALSO RAISED THE PRICE OF THE BRAKE LIGHT BY 30% FROM $425 TO $675 NOT INCLUDING LABOR. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY INFORMED IT WAS A HIGH FAILING ITEM AND WAS ON BACKORDER AND NOT SURE WHEN THEY WOULD GET ONE. DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITHOUT PROPER BRAKE LIGHTS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND NOT LEGAL SO LEFT WITH LITTLE OPTION BUT TO STOP DRIVING THE YUKON.

THE MOST DISTURBING CONCERN IS THE FACT THAT I LOST MY BRAKES AS A RESULT OF A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT GM HAS EVEN RECOGNIZED RELATING TO A FAULTY VACUUM BOOSTER PUMP. I INCURRED A $500 REPAIR BILL DESPITE GM'S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE PROBLEM AND WILLINGNESS TO PAY FOR CARS WITH LESS THAN 70000 MILES. UNFORTUNATELY, MINE WAS OVER THE ALLOWABLE MILEAGE. ADDITIONALLY, I AM LOOKING AT A $1500 REPAIR BILL FOR A SEALED HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT AND ANOTHER $300 BILL FOR A SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM ( LANE DEPARTURE WARNING). GM MADE A POOR CAR THAT IS UNSAFE AND IS NOT PROPERLY ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM.

I BOUGHT MY GMC YUKON IN MARCH OF 2019 ABOUT A WEEK LATER I HAD PEOPLE INFORM ME MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. I WOULD CHECK AT NIGHT AND THEY WOULD. A FEW MONTHS LATER I NOTICED IT MYSELF, THEY WOULD WORK ONE MINUTE BUT NOT THE NEXT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE BECAME UNSTABLE WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS IN THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO STATEN ISLAND GMC LOCATED AT 1855 HYLAN BLVD, STATEN ISLAND, NY 10305 WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SET OF SHOCK ABSORBERS WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000. Consumer stated besides having a few recalls that were resolved consumer have had a lifter & pushrod problem in 2018 that was under warranty! The vehicle was at the dealership for 22 days! Since then consumer had to replace 4 shock absorbers at a cost of over 3 thousand dollars, consumer had transmission problems, tail light problems & air conditioning problems! Consumer had same problem with the lifters & push rods at 64 thousand miles dealership can’t take the vehicle till March 1st.

MY 2015 YUKON DENALI HAD A COMPLETE SUSPENSION FAILURE ON ALL FOUR TIRES AT 67,535 MILES. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS WAY TOO SOON TO BE HAVING SUSPENSION PROBLEMS ON THIS, BUT WHEN DIAGNOSED, THAT WAS THE ISSUE. I WAS TOLD BY MY AUTO REPAIR SHOP THAT IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN THAT CONDITION, AS THE STEERING COULD FAIL TO WORK CORRECTLY WHEN GOING THROUGH TIGHT TURNS AND BRAKING. THEY SAID THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY SKID DUE TO NOT HAVING ANY SHOCKS OR STRUTS FUNCTIONING. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS LIFTED, THE WHEELS DID NOT LOWER FROM THE CARRIAGE AT ALL DUE TO COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM. WE REPLACED THE REAR SHOCKS AND FRONT STRUTS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. THIS PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR ALL AT ONCE, BUT RATHER OVER A PERIOD OF A COUPLE WEEKS WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED TO RIDE ROUGHER ON EACH TIRE. ALL FOUR WENT OUT WITHIN A SPAN OF TWO WEEKS TIME.

THERE IS A WATER LEAK IN THE ROOF, ON THE DRIVER SIDE, RIGHT ABOVE THE A-PILLAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS DURING A HEAVY RAIN STORM. THE LEAK OCCURS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE, I WAS INFORMED THERE WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WHICH COULD CAUSE SOME GAPPING IN THE VEHICLE BODY ROOF DITCH DRIVER SIDE, WHICH MAY ALLOW WATER TO LEAK THROUGH. I AM CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY AS THIS SITUATION COULD CREATE MOLD AND MILDEW IN THE INTERIOR LINER. ALSO, IT COULD POTENTIALLY LEAD TO A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION IF THE GAPS/VOIDS IN THE BODY BECOME LARGER, ALLOWING WATER TO LEAK THROUGH AT A GREATER VELOCITY DURING HIGH SPEEDS OR ON THE FREEWAY. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEIR INVOICE IS QUOTED AS FOLLOWS "INSTALL LEFT FR APPLIQUE. REPLACED THE LEFT FRONT AND LEFT REAR APPLIQUE". THE TOTAL COST WAS $164.23. I AM FURIOUS THIS WASN'T UNDER WARRANTY OR A RECALL. THIS IS A 2 YEAR OLD $60,000 VEHICLE AND I'M UPSET WE HAD TO PAY TO REPLACE THESE PARTS. I BELIEVE THE DESIGN OF THE SEAT BELT IS FAULTY. WHAT IS OBVIOUSLY OCCURRING IS THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE IS RUBBING AGAINST AND THROUGH THE SHOULDER STRAP WHEN THE BELT IS IN THE RETRACTED POSITION. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF THE BELTS, BUT I CONTEND THAT GMC SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE TO CORRECT A FAULTY DESIGN. I HIGHLY DOUBT THIS CONDITION IS UNIQUE TO MY VEHICLE. My vehicle is currently in the shop getting the motor worked on for a bad lifter. From the information the mechanic provided me this is a common issue with the vehicles that have the Active Fuel Management system. They are seeing many of these vehicles have to come in and have very expensive repairs. My first quote I received was $16, 000, they told me I needed a whole new motor and this assessment cost me $365 and a rental car while they looked at the truck. Now it is in the shop again and the estimate is $6000 to machine the cams as there are metal shavings in my oil. I had to again rent a rental vehicle and have not had my truck for a week. This is the third mechanic that has seen multiple of these motors have to be replaced or repaired due to this issue. I kept up on my oil changes and other recommended car maintenance and so did the owner before me. I had my last oil change approx. a week before the loud ticking noise began, then my vehicle began to have a noticeable loss of power when driving and eventually began shuttering and my check engine light began to blink and I took it to the shop. A year ago I had to replace my tail lights. I was able to find where others were recalled by my VIN for some reason was not included in the recall. They started shorting out and working only part of the time which is very dangerous when stopping, especially at night. I had them replaced and paid almost $700 for the two back lights.

There was recall for N182180270 Tail Lamps Inoperative, for some reason my vehicle being a 2015 was not included. This issue is ongoing with my 2015 Yukon Denali and is dangerous while operating, it recently started and is intermittent. Also my vehicle has issues with hard shifting and jerking intermittently when taking off.... also a known issue for this year and make/ model of vehicle

I HAVE A BRAND NEW 2015 YUKON DENALI (SHORT WHEEL BASE) WITH LESS THAN A THOUSAND MILES AND A "SERVICE 4WD" MESSAGE THAT HAS APPEARED TWICE RENDERING THE CAR EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND UN-DRIVABLE FOR A LONG DISTANCE AND HAVING TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALER TWICE. A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS DONE ON THE CAR THE FIRST TIME, ONLY RESOLVED THE ISSUE FOR A FEW WEEKS, THE ISSUE RE-OCCURRED AFTER 3 WEEKS. My 5 children and I experience a traumatic experience in afternoon traffic as my 2015 GMC Yukon failed to pick up speed while waiting to make a left turn at a traffic light. The vehicle - no matter how hard I pressed on the gas didn't accelerate immediately which almost cost an accident. The vehicle rode smoothly for a few minutes then out of nowhere - it started jerking and stuttering bad for 15 seconds or so then would go back to riding smooth. When pressing the brakes - it seems to "lock" to a certain extent, so I have to press really hard on the brake to slow down/stop the vehicle sometimes makes a strange noise when doing so. I took the vehicle to be accessed by a service center in my area - it was at that time that I was told that my vehicle issues are known common GMC issues in these vehicles & more unfortunately. It's unfair to be penalized with an expensive transmission repair when these issues are known to the manufacture but not the consumer - despite being "VIN specific" as told by GMC customer service. This vehicle is needed as it is utilized to transport my children however, it's unsafe at & parked in my driveway. I was directed to reach out to GMC for remedy of the identified issues.

Consuming a lot of oil, makes a funny clicking noise sometimes when accelerations, had lil pieces of metal in my oil, Transmisson problems, 1 front headlight and all rear tail lights went out, trailer brake system would come on and go off now it won’t stop dinging and makes a whole bunch of other lights come on (trailer brake system, park assist, low brake fluid, traction control, collision) dings some much I can’t drive it. Called a gm shop near me and they told me it would cost a whole bunch for each diagnosis for every warning that came on.

CAR WAS EXPLODING AND ENGULFED IN FLAMES...COMPLETELY DESTROYED VIA FIRE AND THE WORST DAMAGE WAS IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. COMPONENT AFFECTED: STABILITRAC MODULE CAUSE: A POWER SHORT IN THE ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS INSIDE THE STEERING WHEEL COLUMN CAUSED THE STABILITRAC (STABILITY CONTROL) MODULE TO MALFUNCTION. UNSAFE CONDITION: THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD TURN A FULL 180 DEGREES ON ITS OWN AT IDLE/LOW SPEED. AT HIGHER SPEEDS, THE CAR WOULD PULL TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. THE "SERVICE STABILITRAC" LIGHT WOULD ACTIVATE ON THE DASH AND MESSAGE DISPLAYED "STABILITRAC DISABLED". ON FEBRUARY 10, 2016, WE WERE DRIVING ON I-25 HEADED TO ARIZONA FOR A VACATION. While driving in downtown boston in heavy traffic (stop and go) braking did not stop the vehicle when removing my foot from the brake and reapplying and the braking was extremely hard, the vehicle nearly collided into the vehicles in front of me. The contact owns a 2015 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, added pressure was needed before the vehicle came to a stop. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitated or jumped before coming to a stop. Additionally, the contact stated the transmission was slipping. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled before self-correcting. The contact also stated that while idling at a stop light and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated, but gradually accelerated as needed. The contact stated that the rear taillight intermittently failed to illuminate. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The transmission fluid was flushed; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission was fractured, and the light bulbs needed to be replaced. The transmission was not repaired or replaced. The headlights were not replaced. On, 9/27/23, I took my son to daycare around 9 am and went to Norfolk, NE for the day. I ran errands and had an appointment which my car sat in the sun for 1.5 hours at one time. Between stores we turned the air on as I had my oldest child with me. We came home to West Point, NE and picked up my other children about 4 pm. All car seat buckles were in normal working condition. I parked my car back in our attached garage on the East side of our house. Around 7:30 am on 9/28/23, I attempted to buckle my son again and noticed the male end of the chest clip was severely bent as if it had melted. My car has tinted windows in the second row where the car seat is located. The car sat in the sun, but not directly on the carseat, for the 1.5 hours while we were at the appointment. The car seat may have had direct sunlight while we were eating lunch which was no longer than 30 minutes. The car was again in the sun for another 2 hours but the carseat was not in direct sunlight during that time. Luckily, I had a spare carseat and was able to discontinue use of the car seat with the melted chest clip. I would not have been able to buckle the chest clip in the condition it was in on 9/28/23 ensuring the shoulder straps would be in the correct position on my child. The car seat has not been inspected by anyone other than myself.

The engine turns off when driving. This has happened at least 50 in the 2 years I've owned the vehicle. It has been serviced at Garland Shelton GMC in Temple, TX. The issue is not fixed. The battery and the negative cable have been replaced. When the engine dies none of the electrical works until I open the hood and wiggle the negative battery cable.

The contact owns a Recaro car seat, Model Type: Young Sport Hero, Model Number: N/A, Manufactured Date: N/A. The car seat was being utilized in a 2015 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that her child was able to climb out of his car seat since there was no clasp on the harness to restrain him. The contact had to use the vehicle’s seat belt to restrain the child securely. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to not let her child climb out of his safety seat. The car seat was not repaired or replaced.

Both my tail lights have failed. Dealer wants insane amount of money for new ones, so I opened up the lights and there is an obvious design flaw in the lights, to me it seems intentional at worst, incompetent at best. I am an electrical engineer, and there is no reason they should put a friction connection in the LED power bar, it is a glaring design flaw. Also having steering assist issue at low speed which was an issue that was supposed to be fixed in a previous recall service, but it is still malfunctioning.

At certain speeds my vehicle vibrates, like a grinding sound at speeds between 50-55. This is a safety risk because I have children and grandchild that frequently ride with me. I have taken my vehicle back to the dealership and they say it is no codes and send it back to me without fixing the problem. My vehicle has not been inspected by anyone except the GM dealership. I got my vehicle Nov. 2018 and this started happening between Dec. 2018 and Jan. 2019. My check engine light did appear and was flashing around this time. In 2019 I had to replace the rear shocks and I believe they are not working properly now.

PURCHASED A 2015 YUKON DENALI BACK IN NOVEMBER 2019. SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY, TRANSMISSION, AC COMPRESSOR AND EXPANSION VALVE (WHICH STILL ISN'T WORKING CORRECTLY, BECAUSE IT DOESN'T BLOW COLD AIR), AND THE BLACK PANELS THAT ARE IN BETWEEN THE WINDOWS. ALSO, BOTH TAIL LIGHTS HAVE DECIDED TO QUIT WORKING.... WHICH CONCERNS ME GREATLY BECAUSE CARS BEHIND ME DON'T KNOW WHEN I AM STOPPED OR APPLYING THE BREAKS. STOPPED OR HAVE MY FOOT ON THE BREAK.

THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIME IN THE CITY CROSSING AN INTERSECTION USUALLY AT SLOW SPEED BRAKING AND TURNING AND ALL THE SUDDEN I LOSE EVERYTHING. NO STEERING ELECTRICAL AND BRAKING. THE PARK ASSIST WILL SOMETIMES START GOING OFF LIKE CRAZY JUST BEFORE IT HAPPENS, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. PUT IN PARK AND OPEN THE DOOR IT COMES BACK ON. THEN SAYS ROLL DOWN DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND THEN BACK UP. AT ON TIME I DID HAVE IT HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY. WHILE THANKFULLY DRIVING IN THE SLOW LANE ON THE INTERSTATE IN ST. AFTER HAVING TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP WHICH WAS THREE HOURS AWAY FROM MY HOUSE THEY INFORMED ME THE FOLLOWING MORNING THE POWER STEERING CONTROL GEARBOX HAD WENT OUT AND FRIED ALL THE ELECTRICAL'S INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 39,000 MILES AFTER CONTACTING GMC THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO THAT THERE WAS NOTHING ON A RECALL LIST FOR MY VEHICLES VIN NUMBER. THE A/C HAS QUICK WORKING. WE TOOK IT IN TO GET FIXED, THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG EXCEPT LOW ON FREON. REPLACED AND IT IS GONE (HAS DYE IN IT & NO DETECTION WHERE IT HAS GONE). I DIDN'T DRIVE THIS CAR FOR 6 MOS. BECAUSE OF THIS (TOO HOT). I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX EVERYTHING THAT IS GOING WRONG ON THIS CAR. SAME DAY A/C WENT OUT, THE HEAT SYSTEM WENT OUT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT. JUST BLOWS COLD AIR! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! MY AIR CONDITIONER IS OUT! IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER IN GEORGIA! I HAD IT DIAGNOSED FROM SOMEONE I TRUST AND FROM THE DEALER, BOTH SAID ITS A CRACK WHICH CAUSES THE REFRIGERANT TO LEAK AND LOSE PRESSURE. THERE HAS BEEN EXACTLY ZERO DAMAGE OR ANY FOREIGN OBJECT THAT CAUSED THIS. WE KNOW IT IS A DEFECTIVE PART THAT GM USES. ALSO, MY REAR PASSENGER TAIL LIGHT IS OUT AND HAS TO BE REPLACED TO THE TUNE OF ABOUT $600. THIS TOO IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES THAT IS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE PART THAT GM USES. I HAVE 2 FRIENDS WITH THE SAME YEAR MODEL VEHICLE AND THEY BOTH HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. AGAIN, NO OUTSIDE INFLUENCE SUCH AS DAMAGE OR FOREIGN OBJECT HAS CAUSED THIS. WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED FULLY, THE GAS PEDAL STICKS THE CAR CONTINUES ACCELERATING. THE PROBLEM BEGAN WITH INITIAL COMPLETE DEPRESSION OF GAS PEDAL TO CAUSE SOME ACCELERATION AND DEPRESSING BRAKE ALLOWED VEHICLE TO RETURN TO NORMAL DRIVING. THE PROBLEM HAS WORSENED OVER TIME TO THE POINT WHERE BOTH FEET DEPRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL DID NOT AFFECT ACCELERATION AND CAUSED SMOKE TO EMIT FROM BOTH FRONT BRAKE PADS, AND THE PASSENGER FRONT BRAKE PAD FLAMED UP FROM THE HEAT. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN INTO A PARKING LOT WITH THE BRAKE DEPRESSED THE ENTIRE TIME, AND TURNED OFF. SO FAR, THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS FULLY DEPRESSED. THE DEALER TOLD ME THE MAT CAUSED THIS EVEN THOUGH THE MAT IS CUT AROUND THE GAS PEDAL WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO NOT OBSTRUCT PEDAL. THE MAT ALSO DOES NOT SLIDE OR MOVE ABOUT THE AREA. THE GMC DEALER TOLD ME THEY TOOK THE MAT OUT AND DID NOT NOTICE ANY AUTO ACCELERATION, AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE UNABLE TO DEPRESS THE GAS PEDAL FULL TO ATTEMPT TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM, TO NOT COMPROMISE THE SAFETY OF THE OTHER CARS NEARBY.

BRAKES DON'T WORK WELL WHEN TRAVELING AT LOW RATES OF SPEED. STOPPING REQUIRES BRAKES TO BE PRESSED TO THE GROUND AND STILL MAY NOT STOP. I HAVE ALMOST HAD SEVERAL ACCIDENTS EVEN AFTER HAVING THE ISSUE 'REPAIRED' LAST YEAR. I'VE HAD THE PROBLEM ASSESSED AT 3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS. I HAVE HAD TO THROW MY CAR INTO PARK TO AVOID HITTING CARS IN FRONT OF ME. BRAKES FAIL WHILE DRIVING IN PLACES SUCH AS TRAFFIC JAMS, DRIVE THRU, SCHOOL PICK UP, ETC. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD AND FEAR THAT MY CHILDREN MAY BE HURT IF THIS ISSUE IS NOT CORRECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER. STEERING BECOMES NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE WHEN THE BRAKE ISSUES OCCUR. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM FOR THE LAST 1.5- 2 YEARS. ALSO, THE TAIL LIGHTS CONTINUE TO GO OUT EVEN AFTER PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR REPLACEMENTS.

TAIL/BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED CAUSING A SAFETY CONCERN. TOOK VEHICLE IN TO GMC DEALER FOR REPAIR. LEFT TAIL LIGHT (ACTUALLY THE ENTIRE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD) WAS REPLACED, RIGHT IS ON BACK ORDER. VEHICLE OUT OF FACTORY WARRANTY AND EVEN THOUGH WE HAD AN EXTENDED BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, THE WORK WAS NOT COVERED. THIS IS A FREQUENT ISSUE, I HAVE DISCOVERED ON LINE, ACCORDING TO MANY OWNERS OF GMC SUVS AND TRUCKS BETWEEN THE 2015 AND 2018 MODELS. COST OF REPAIR INCLUDING BOTH TAIL LIGHTS IS 1617.05. GMC SUPPORTED ME BY COVERING 600.00 OF THE COST SO I PAID 1017.05 OUT OF POCKET FOR 2 TAIL LIGHTS THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED. I HAVE ONLY 24554 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT. ADDITIONAL TO THAT, THE 2 FRONT SEAT BELTS ARE FRAYING WHICH MAY LEAD TO WEAKNESS EVENTUALLY CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE. I WANT GMC TO COVER ALL COSTS RELATED TO REPAIR OF THESE TWO PROBLEMS. I HAVE HAD AN ON-GOING ISSUE WITH THE STEERING, ELECTRICAL AND POWER STEERING AND STABILITY CONTROL. I HAVE HAD REPEATED ISSUES WITH THE STABILITY CONTROL TURNING OFF, SUDDEN DROP IN ELECTRICAL POWER, THE STEERING WHEEL GETS VIOLENTLY YANKED OUT OF YOUR HANDS AND SOMETIME THE CAR COMPLETELY CUTS OFF. FORTUNATELY MOST HAVE BEEN AT SLOW SPEEDS OR ELSE THE CAR WOULD HAVE FLIPPED. IT IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE OTHER MODELS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR BUT MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL. THE DEALER (SUNRISE BUICK GMC CHEVROLET AT COLLIERVILLE, 4605 S HOUSTON LEVEE RD, COLLIERVILLE, TN 38017, (888) 484-2878) INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE CONDENSER FAILED AND THE PART WAS ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONDENSER WAS ENGINEERED INCORRECTLY AND SHOOK AND RATTLED, WHICH CAUSED A CRACK THAT SPLIT THE CONDENSER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER ONLY PROVIDED A WARRANTY EXTENSION FROM 36,000 TO 60,000 MILES, BUT HAD NOT ISSUED A RECALL TO PROVIDE A REMEDY. THE CONTACT CORRESPONDED WITH THE MANUFACTURER BY EMAIL AND PHONE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WOULD PROVIDE A FOLLOW-UP RESPONSE. THE CONTACT HAD BEEN WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FOR MONTHS. OUR 2015 YUKON XL DENALI HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIR SERVICE FOR 41 DAYS SINCE PURCHASED NEW 3/23/15. THE CAR HAS STALLED WHILE IN MOTION WITH MY WIFE AND THREE DAUGHTERS IN THE VEHICLE TWICE AND BEEN UNRESPONSIVE TO THROTTLE INPUT 3 ADDITIONAL TIMES. THE STALL OCCURRED ONCE WHILE TURNING LEFT ACROSS TRAFFIC AND ANOTHER TIME WHILE TURNING RIGHT AND MERGING WITH TRAFFIC! THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT AND GMC HAS NEVER BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE IT. THEY HAVE GIVEN US THE SHOULDER SHRUG, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU, WE CAN'T REPLICATE IT" LINE, SO HERE ARE YOUR KEYS. NO WARNING INDICATORS, NO SIGNS IT MAY HAPPEN, AND NO WAY TO PULL UP THE ISSUE WITH THEIR DIAGNOSTICS...HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AND EACH TIME THEY HAVE HANDED US THE KEYS BACK AFTER 7 DAYS (THEIR STANDARD ALLOTTED TIME TO HAVE A LOANER OUT) WITHOUT ANY PROACTIVE ESCALATION TO FIND ROOT CAUSE OR CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY. THE LAST TIME WE TOOK IT IN, THEY HAD IT FOR 8 DAYS AND COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. WE SIGNED OUR SERVICE PAPERWORK AND I ESCALATED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER BEFORE LEAVING. AFTER TELLING HIM WE WOULD BE PURSUING BUYBACK, HE MIRACULOUSLY HAD AN IDEA IT MAY BE RELATED TO A WIRING HARNESS ISSUE. THIS WAS BASED OFF HIS EXPERIENCE WITH A SIERRA PICKUP (5.3L, NOT OUR 6.2L) THAT HAD SIMILAR BEHAVIOR. WE LEFT THE VEHICLE AND, WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT, THEY REPLACED A WIRE AND "HAVE REASONABLE CONFIDENCE" IT RESOLVED THE ISSUE. TWO WEEKS LATER, IT'S BACK IN THE SHOP FOR KEY FOB NOT DETECTED (AFTER ALREADY DRIVING). TRUCK IS IN GEAR AND YOU CANNOT MOVE...ANOTHER HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. IT'S A DUD. WE HAVE ALSO HAD TO HAVE ALL 8 INJECTORS REPLACED DUE TO ROUGH IDLING AND THE STEERING GEAR REPLACED FROM FAULTY MANUFACTURING THAT CREATES A CLICKING WHILE TURNING THE WHEEL, THE CAR IS AT THE DEALER AND WE WILL NOT BE TAKING IT BACK. OUR VEHICLE HAS A SIGNIFICANT VIBRATION IN V4 MODE WHEN TRAVELING BETWEEN 45-65 MPH AND ABOVE. THE VIBRATION IS ALSO ACCOMPANIED BY INCREASED CABIN PRESSURE. THESE ISSUES ARE CAUSING HEADACHES, NAUSEA, DIZZINESS, AND ARE FURTHER EXACERBATING MY WIFE'S MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS. WE ALSO HAVE A POPPING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE'S SUSPENSION WHEN TURNING THAT MAKES US FEEL UNSAFE. THE VIBRATION STARTED RIGHT AFTER WE TOOK DELIVERY OF THE CAR AND HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE. WE BOUGHT THE CAR IN APRIL 2015 AND THE ISSUE CONTINUES UNFIXED TO THIS DAY. I HAVE A 2015 YUKON DENALI AND I WAS DRIVING 65 ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY. A WARNING MESSAGE SAID ENGINE POWER FAILURE. I HAD 4 CARS AND AN 18 WHEELER BEHIND ME AT THE TIME. I MANAGED TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ONTO A MEDIAN. IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY STARTED TRYING SAY IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN BAD GAS. THEN I WAS TOLD I CRACKED VALVE AND THEY ALREADY HAD ONE OTHER JUST LIKE THIS, THEN 1 DAY LATER AFTER A TECH LEVEL 2 AND A SHOP FORUM LOOKED AT IT, AND A CONVERSATION WITH A GM PAC REP, GM APPROVED A COMPLETE ENGINE REPLACEMENT! I WAS SHOCKED. I'VE HAD THE SAME 4-WHEEL DRIVE ISSUES EVERYONE ELSE HAS. I'VE ALSO HAD A/C PROBLEMS, STEER WHEEL POPPING NOISES, SUNROOF LOUD WIND NOISES. MY SEAT SHIFTS WHEN I DRIVE IT. THE A/C SEATS DON'T COOL PROPERLY, WHICH I FOUND OUT WHEN THEY PUT ME IN A LOANER YUKON THAT WORKED FINE. THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE ALSO DIDN'T WORK FOR 2 DAYS, WHICH I HAVE A PICTURE OF AND RECEIVED A WARNING TICKET FOR WHEN I WAS PULLED OVER BY AN OFFICER NOT KNOWING WHAT SPEED I WAS GOING. I PASSENGER STEP GUARD DOESN'T ALWAYS RETRACT PROPERLY. MY UNIT WAS PURCHASE MAY 2014 AND WAS ONE OF THE FIRST 4 X 4 UNITS THAT WAS PRODUCED AND HAS HAD CONSTANT PROBLEMS. MY NEW, 2015 GMC DENALI IS EQUIPPED WITH A BACKUP CAMERA AND THE QUALITY IS SO POOR AT NIGHT, AS TO MAKE IT NEARLY MORE DANGEROUS TO USE THAN TO IGNORE IT. I HAVE HAD 3 PRIOR GMC DENALI AUTOMOBILES. THE MOST RECENT WAS A 2011 WHICH WAS TRADED IN FOR THIS NEW ONE. THE QUALITY OF THE BACKUP CAMERA IN THE 2011 MODEL WAS EXCELLENT. MY WIFE AND I IMMEDIATELY NOTED ON THE NEW CAR THAT THE CAMERA IMAGE WAS SO BLURRY AND POOR RESOLUTION AT NIGHT, WE COULD NOT SAFELY USE THE CAMERA TO BACK OUT OF OUR GATED DRIVEWAY. IN THE DAYTIME, THE IMAGE IS BLURRY AS WELL, BUT USABLE. GMC HAS HAD THE CAR TWICE FOR SERVICE AND WE HAVE COMPLAINED TO GMC CORPORATE AND ALL WE GET IS A STATEMENT THAT THE "SYSTEM IS WORKING NORMALLY" WHICH IS DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT. THE NHTSA'S OWN STATISTICS SHOW THAT EACH YEAR APPROX. 20 PEOPLE DIE AND 15,000 ARE INJURED DUE TO BACKUP INCIDENTS. THEIR GUIDELINES STATE A CAMERA NEEDS TO DISPLAY (CLEARLY I WOULD ASSUME) A 10 X 20 FOOT ZONE BEHIND THE VEHICLE. AT NIGHT, YOU CANNOT SEE 20 FEET CLEARLY BEHIND THIS VEHICLE, EVEN IN A WELL LIGHTED STREET. I AM CONVINCED THAT THIS POOR QUALITY SYSTEM IS GOING TO CAUSE ACCIDENTS IF IT HAS NOT DONE SO ALREADY. GMC HAS AN OBLIGATION TO ADDRESS WHAT I BELIEVE IS A SUB-STANDARD QUALITY IMAGE. THEY CANNOT DEFEND THE FACT THAT THE IMAGE IS MUCH WORSE THAN OLDER MODELS OF THEIR VEHICLES. FORTUNATELY, THE NEW DENALI MODEL DOES HAVE A SENSOR SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES A VIBRATORY WARNING IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO CONTACT AN OBJECT, BUT OBVIOUSLY THE DRIVER NEEDS TO SEE CLEARLY BEHIND THEM, BEFORE THEY ARE ABOUT TO STRIKE AN OBJECT IN THEIR PATH. I AM HOPING YOUR AGENCY CAN CONTACT GMC TO HELP MOTIVATE THEM TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF THEIR VEHICLE(S) BEFORE THE DEFECT CONTRIBUTES TO AN UNNECESSARY INJURY OR DEATH. THEIR FIX AT THIS POINT IS TO HAVE YOU RUN THE VEHICLE IN 2WD MODE WHICH IS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUE DURING OUR WINTER MONTHS AS IT IS THEN A REAR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE BEING DRIVEN ON ICY ROADS.THE OTHER FIX IS TO RUN IT IN 4WD MODE BUT TURN IT INTO 2WD MODE EVERY TIME YOU TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. ALL DOORS ON THE VEHICLE LOCK WHEN TRANSMISSION IS PUT INTO GEAR AND ALL DOORS LOCK SEVERAL SECONDS AFTER DOOR IS SHUT WITH ENGINE OFF. THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS CAN NOT BE DEACTIVATED BY MYSELF OR BY THE DEALER. I FIND THIS BOTH A SAFETY ISSUE AND A INCONVENIENCE. AS A COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVER DRIVEN MILLIONS OF MILES I HAVE BOTH WITNESSED AND HAVE DIRECTLY BEEN INVOLVED WITH TRYING TO GET PEOPLE EXTRACTED FROM WRECKS. DUE TO LOCKED DOORS IN SEVERAL CASES THIS HAS NOT BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT BREAKING A SIDE GLASS AND PHYSICALLY UNLOCKING THE DOOR FROM INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. IN ONE ACCIDENT TWO PEOPLE WERE UNCONSCIOUS AFTER A CRASH WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING AND A FIRE UNDER THE HOOD, THE DOORS WERE LOCKED. IN ANOTHER, A PERSON WAS HAVING AN EPILEPTIC SEIZURE AFTER A CRASH AND AGAIN DOORS WERE LOCKS. IN THE LAST EXAMPLE A MAN DIED AFTER DRIVING INTO A CANAL, RESCUERS WERE UNABLE TO BREAK THE GLASS IN TIME TO SAVE THE DRIVER. I SHOULD HAVE THE ABILITY TO DECIDE WHETHER TO HAVE THE DOORS AUTOMATICALLY LOCK; NOT THE MANUFACTURER. THE 2013 AND OLDER GMC TRUCKS THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS CAN BE DEACTIVATED BUT 2014 AND NEWER GM REFUSED TO RELEASE THE PROGRAM TO THE DEALERS OR PUBLIC SO I HAVE NO OPTION BUT TO DRIVE WITH LOCKED DOORS. I AM ASKING TO HAVE GM RELEASE THE PROGRAM TO ACHIEVE DISABLING THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AND THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LOW INDEPENDENTLY ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

AFTER OWNING THE 2015 YUKON DENALI FOR 6 MONTHS, I HAVE TO SAY THIS VEHICLE HAS ITS FLAWS. THE 4WD SYSTEM IS IN FOR SERVICE ALREADY AFTER 9000 MILES. NOT THE KIND OF QUALITY I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED ON AN $80,000 SUV. AT THE MOMENT, THE VEHICLE IS ONLY A 2 WD SYSTEM AND SEEMS VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AND TURN. ALSO, THE INTELLILINK SOFTWARE IS VERY "BUGGY" AND NEEDS MANY UPDATES. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE ENTIRE TOUCHSCREEN WILL GO BLANK WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
