The contact owns a 2005 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, she rear-ended a vehicle in front. The other vehicle's windshield shattered during the impact. Both vehicles were severely damaged. The air bags did not deploy. No one was injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not towed, but the contact was able to push the vehicle into a parking lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 170,000.

THE BULBS IN MY LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS CONTINUALLY BURN OUT WHILE IN MOTION, USUALLY ON A RURAL HIGHWAY. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING, ESPECIALLY ON DARK COUNTRY ROADS. TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA, I AM HAVING TO REPLACE THE BULBS 3-4 TIMES PER YEAR ON EACH HEADLIGHT. FROM A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH, I CAN SEE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR MANY, MANY HONDA CRV OWNERS. IT LOOKS LIKE THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE FOR THE 2002-2004 MODELS (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V136000) - WILL YOU PLEASE EXPAND THIS RECALL TO INCLUDE THE 2005? IF BOTH HEADLIGHTS GO DARK AT THE SAME TIME, IT WILL PROBABLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. WITH THIS HAPPENING SO OFTEN ON THE 2005, THE LIKELIHOOD OF AN ACCIDENT INCREASES. PLEASE HELP. LOW BEAMS STOPPED WORKING WHILE PARKED THANKFULLY. I REPLACED THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH, THINKING THAT IT WAS CAUSING THE ISSUE, AND NOTICED THAT A TERMINAL IN THE CONNECTOR WAS BURNT SO BAD THAT IT CARRIED OTHER TERMINALS, CAUSING THE HIGH BEAMS TO STOP WORKING AS WELL. ACCORDING TO MY RESEARCH, THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY OTHER CARS OF THE SAME MODEL AND IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD.

THE RUNNING LIGHTS & LOW BEAM LIGHTS FAIL REPEATEDLY. RUNNING, STANDING OR START UP; IT DOESN'T MATTER. THE BULBS BURN OUT. BOTH LIGHTS USE THE SAME HALOGEN BULB. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM COVERED IN YOUR HONDA CR-V RECALL # 12V13600 (HONDA # S34) AFFECTING THE 2002,'03 AND 2004 MODEL YEARS. MODEL YEARS 2005 AND POSSIBLY BEYOND SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED.

WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT AND BOTH LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS WENT OUT AND REMAINED OUT. HAD TO STOP TO PREVENT CRASH. DRIVER COULD NOT SEE. VERY DANGEROUS! HIGH BEAMS WORKING BUT DID NOT REALIZE UNTIL LATER. READ THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MANY HONDAS AND A TSB ISSUED FOR OTHER MODELS, BUT NOT THIS ONE. THIS MODEL AND YEAR NEEDS A TSB AS WELL. READ THAT OTHERS WITH THIS MODEL AND YEAR HAVE HAD SAME PROBLEM BUT THERE IS NO TSB FOR IT.

HEADLIGHT RECALL. I AM AWARE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN SOME HEADLIGHT RECALLS ON PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS OF HONDA CRV. I HAVE A 2005. THE FRONT HEADLIGHTS BURN OUT AND/OR FAIL VERY FREQUENTLY. I HAVE OWNED THE CRV FOR MAYBE 5 YEARS AND HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE BULBS 4 TO 5 TIMES. NOW THE RIGHT HEADLAMP WILL NOT WORK EVEN WITH A BRAND NEW BULB. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. THE HEADLIGHTS COULD FAIL WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. PLEASE LOOK INTO IT. THE DATE ENTERED BELOW IS JUST THE MOST RECENT FAILURE.

THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE FAILED WHILE THE HIGH BEAMS CONTINUE TO WORK. THIS SAME FAILURE IN OTHER HONDA MODELS MERITED A SAFETY RECALL. PLEASE SEE HONDA SERVICE BULLETINS 12-056 AND 04-15. THE 2005 CR-V HAS THE SAME PART, FAILURE, AND REPAIR PROCEDURE FOR THE LIGHT SWITCH WIRE HARNESS LOCATED IN THE STEERING COLUMN. I FEEL A SAFETY RECALL SHOULD APPLY TO MY VEHICLE, SINCE IT IS THE SAME FAILURE, SAME PART TO REPLACE AND SAME DANGER. THIS IS A WIDELY REPORTED ISSUE ON THE HONDA SERVICE BOARDS.

LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS EVER SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR, WE'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE LOW BEAM BULBS EVERY FEW WEEKS. THEY BURN OUT AT COMPLETELY RANDOM TIMES (ITS HAPPENED BOTH WHILE IN MOTION AND STATIONARY, IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS AS WELL AS OUT DRIVING THROUGH COUNTRYSIDE, FREEWAYS; BASICALLY EVERYWHERE). NOT ONLY IS THIS AN INCONVENIENCE DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF MONEY SPENT ON REPLACEMENTS, IT'S ALSO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THEY'VE BURNED OUT ON NIGHT DRIVES IN THE COUNTRYSIDE WHERE OUR ONLY OPTION WAS TO USE HIGH BEAMS THE REST OF THE WAY, ETC. UNACCEPTABLE THAT HONDA HAS NOT YET ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE, EVEN THOUGH IT'S VERY WELL DOCUMENTED ONLINE AS BEING AN ISSUE. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE UP THROUGH 2004 CR-V'S BUT THEY'VE NOT EXTENDED TO THE 05 MODEL YEAR.

THE CONTACT FOUND A RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE THAT STATED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS, LOCATED IN THE STEERING WHEEL MALFUNCTIONED, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 190,000.

There was no tell tail signs, my son and I got out of the vehicle and walked inside the Hampton Inn in deming nm standing in line waiting some lady runs in saying there's a car on fire outside so I walked outside and saw it was my car. A fire extinguisher was used the battery and driver side headlight was melted fire damage on driver side only

Approximately 2-3 months ago as I was driving I smelled a warm, buring electical smell coming from the left door. Immediately after this I had noticed my driver side lock, power mirror controls, would not work on the drivers side. After speaking with my mechanic I was told that this issue has a current safety bulletin opened for it. Today I took my car to Apple Honda of York to have the recall taken care of. The issues persisted and Honda refused to inspect the door wiring. The remedy of this solution was to be as follows: Remedy Please call any authorized Honda dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired. The dealer will replace the power window master switch and INSPECT THE WIRING HARNESS FOR PROBLEMS, replacing it if necessary, for free. For additional questions or to get help locating a dealer, owners may contact American Honda Customer Support and Campaign Center at 1-888-234-2138. This dealership only replaced the switch but did not inspect the wiring or wiring harness in detail for issues that certainly could have occurred due to this safety recall. I still wonder from time to time while driving if the wiring will short causing a fire and explained this to the Honda dealership. I have followed up with Honda of America to report this issue which is currently being investigated by a case worker. (Incident #: [XXX]) I believe the dealership was not interested in resolving my safety concerns regarding this matter. My driver power window switch melted and failed in the same way described in the current recall for the same model and year vehicle, just not under the SHS vin numbers that are covered. I suspect this recall should cover more cars than previously thought. I noticed this problem after heavy rains, first my windows stopped rolling up and down, then I began noticed a burring/melting plastic smell coming from the drivers door. I took the door apart and tracked the smell down to the power master switch. After inspecting the switch, it was indeed the switch that melted on the circuit board. It seems to have damaged the driver wiring door harness as well, also like the current recall states. All just as described in the current safety recall which I have attached below. **Safety Recall: 2002-06 CR-V Driver’s Power Window Switch (Only VINs that start with SHS) ''under severe conditions, water or other liquid may enter the driver’s window and reach the power window master switch on the door panel. Liquid in the switch can damage the switch’s printed circuit board (PCB), causing the switch to fail. In rare cases, the damaged PCB creates a short circuit that overheats the switch connectors and melts them, leading to a possible fire.'' All affected vehicles, even those previously repaired under S/B 12-067, must have the driver's power window switch replaced under the current recall.

Y 2005 CRV SE driver window stops after rolling halfway up. I have to press window button a 2nd time. The driver window will roll down on it's own. Some 2005-2007 crV were recalled because this problem can start a fire.

As I was driving home from work last week 04/22/25, I noticed a drop in the rear passenger side and an odd noise I had never heard before. I only live 3 blocks from work and I immediately pulled it in the garage and put it up on the jack. Once I removed my drivers side rear tire and got a closer look, I found that my drivers side rear trailing arm and the frame have rusted through and completely broke. My vehicle had just been inspected 5 months earlier with no issues and is parked in a dry garage at all times when not in use.

2005 HONDA CRV. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEFECTIVE WHEEL SUSPENSION SYSTEM. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HIS WIFE BACKED OUT OF A PARKING SPOT, SHE FELT A CRUNCH AND A DROP COME FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE A FRAME OF THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SUSPENSION FAILED AT THE WELDED ATTACH POINT ON THE SWAY BAR. THE WELD HAD BEEN FAILING FOR SOME TIME AS THERE WAS RUST AND DIRT ON SOME OF THE BROKEN EDGES. ACCORDING TO THE INVOICE, THE FRONT CONTROL ARM BROKE, CAUSING THE AXLE TO FAIL AND THE SWAY BAR LINK TO FAIL.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 77,000.

THE LOCKING MECHANISM FOR THE TILT STEERING WHEEL NOT STAY IN A LOCKED POSITION. MINE WILL NOT LONGER STAY IN THE LOCK POSITION AT ALL. IT REMAINS IN THE DROPPED DOWN UNLOCKED POSITION CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO MOVE UP AND DOWN WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. IT IS ALSO A HAZARD WHEN GETTING OUT OF THE CAR AS YOU CAN CATCH YOUR LEG WITH IT AND POSSIBLE INJURE YOUR LEG.

THE STEERING COLUMN LOOSENED AND MOVED UP AND DOWN WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT HAD TO HOLD THE TILT ADJUSTER LOCK IN HIS HAND WHILE DRIVING UNTIL IT LOCKED BACK INTO PLACE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY DETERMINED THAT THE TILT ADJUSTER WAS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE CONTACT IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 42,000.

I PURCHASED A NEW 2015 HONDA CRV EXL. PICKED IT UP ON EVENING OF 2/18/15. I DROVE IT BACK AND FORTH TO WORK, APPROX. 30 MILES ROUND TRIP THE NEXT TWO DAYS. I NOTICED VIBRATION AND FELT SOMETHING WASN'T RIGHT. THE CAR SAT IN MY DRIVEWAY THE WEEKEND DUE TO BAD WEATHER. I DROVE TO WORK MONDAY AND TUESDAY AND THE VIBRATION WAS TERRIBLE. I DRIVE IN VERY SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC. WHILE ACCELERATING, IT FEELS LIKE A BUMPY RIDE ON UNEVEN ROADWAY. THIS MAKES ME FEEL VERY UNSAFE! ESPECIALLY WHILE GOING AROUND CURVES. WHILE STOPPED AT RED LIGHTS, THE STEERING WHEEL AND SEATS VIBRATE. EXACTLY ONE WEEK FROM PICKING UP MY VEHICLE, I'M BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER DRIVING MY CAR AND EXPERIENCING MY CONCERNS. I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK IN AGAIN FOR THE SERVICE MANAGER TO CAPTURE THE VIBRATION ON VIDEO TO BE SENT TO HONDA. I CONTACTED HONDA OF AMERICA AND NOW HAVE A CASE MANAGER. FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 YEARS, MY HONDA CR-V HAS EXPERIENCED A SHUDDER IN THE VEHICLE WHEN THE SPEED IS IN BETWEEN GEARS. THIS SHUDDERING RECURS BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD GEAR, 4TH AND 5TH GEAR. I HAVE REPORTED IT TO THE HONDA DEALER WHERE MY VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF THE PAST 5 YEARS. THE ANSWER I WAS ALWAYS GIVEN WAS "CANNOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM". I WAS NEVER ASKED TO GO FOR A TEST RIDE WITH A MECHANIC NOR WAS I ASKED TO DESCRIBE THE PROBLEM IN DETAIL. I WAS BRUSHED OFF. WHEN I MOVED, I TOOK MY VEHICLE, NOW OVER 100K MILES, TO A SPECIALTY SERVICE MECHANIC. HE QUICKLY TOOK A TEST DRIVE WITH ME AND WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE SHUDDER WITHIN 5 MINUTES. HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG AND ADVISED ME TO CONTACT HONDA. THE TRANSMISSION BLEW WITH NO WARNING WHATSOEVER, DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE FORWARD MOTION SUDDENLY CUT OUT. LUCKILY WE HAD ENOUGH MOMENTUM TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY OR 4 PEOPLE WOULD BE DEAD. THE CAR HAD JUST HAD A TRIP INSPECTION WITHIN 10 DAYS, ALL SYSTEMS GO, AND WE TOOK THE CAR SHOPPING IN THE MORNING WITH NO INDICATION WHATSOEVER BY PERFORMANCE, NOISE, ETC THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG AT ALL. THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE WAS TOTAL AND SUDDEN. HONDA DENIES ANY ISSUES WITH THIS CAR, WHICH, IF I LIVED IN A DIFFERENT STATE, WOULD BE A LEMON. ITS HEADLIGHTS CONSTANTLY GO OUT, AND IT AND ITS TWIN, A 2006 CRV, BOTH HAD BROKEN AC AROUND 90000 MILES. THE ESTIMATE FOR REPAIR IS $4300. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN AUGUST 2004. AFTER A FEW MONTHS DROVE IT TO THE MOUNTAIN, PUT THE SNOW CHAIN AND THE CAR COULDN'T GO MORE THAN 10MPH, INSTEAD IT MAKE A LOUD ROARING NOISE. TOOK TO DEALER BUT COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. CALL DIRECT TO HONDA THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING SINCE THE DEALER DIDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEMS. SINCE THAN WE DRIVE ANOTHER CAR WHENEVER WE WENT TO THE SNOW. LAST WEEKEND WE WENT TO PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAM AND THE CAR MAKE A LOUD NOISE THAT SOUND LIKE IT CAME FROM SOMEWHERE IN THE DRIVETRAIN PARTS. I THING THIS MUST HAVE RELATED TO THE SAME PROBLEM WEN I WENT TO THE SNOW. I CALL A FRIEND THAT HAS AN INDEPENDENT CAR REPAIR SHOP AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED. HE ADVISED ME TO CALL HONDA BECAUSE THE CAR IS DEFECTIVE SINCE IT WAS NEW. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY SAID TO BRING TO A DIFFERENT DEALER THAN THE ONE THAT I WENT ON THE FIRST INCIDENT. I WENT TO A DEALER AND AGAIN COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, PAID $220 FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND THEY SAID THE PROBLEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY PARTS OF THE DRIVETRAIN, I CHECKED ON THE WEBSITE AND FOUND ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE SIMILAR PROBLEM POSTED ON THE CRV FORUM /BLOG. PARKED IN A SPOT IN FRONT OF PARTY CITY, FOOT WAS ON BRAKE AND I PUT THE CAR INTO PARK. REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE AND THE CAR ACCELERATED INTO THE BUILDING. MY 2005 CR-V HAD THE "BLACK DEATH" ISSUE LAST MAY OF 08. THAT SEEMED ODD ENOUGH TO ME THAT A COMPRESSOR WOULD GO THAT SOON IN SUCH A "RELIABLE" CAR. MY WHOLE FAMILY OWNS HONDAS. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD COST 3200 TO FIX IT. THAT MY COMPRESSOR "EXPLODED" (LOL, I AM NOT AN IDIOT, UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM). I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO MY PERSONAL MECHANIC, WHO SHOWED ME THE LOCKED SPRINGS INSIDE THE COMPRESSOR, AND SAID IT WAS INDEED "ODD" TO SEE AN AC FAILURE THAT SOON. AFTER HE FIXED IT UP FOR 1300. I GOT A CALL FROM THE HONDA SERVICEMAN OFFERING TO MAYBE "WORK SOMETHING OUT". WELL, WITH A SMALL CHILD. I COULD NOT AFFORD TO BARGAIN FOR AC IN MAY IN SOUTH FLORIDA, SO HE WAS A TAD TOO LATE. I DID NOT KNOW, UNTIL MY COMPRESSOR WENT OUT AGAIN TODAY, THAT THERE WAS THIS ISSUE AND WAS KNOWN. I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA AMERICA, WHO WERE NO HELP AT ALL, AND THE DEALER WANTED TO CHARGE ME 105.00 TO DIAGNOSE IT, AND I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED IF I FIXED IT THERE. HMMM. HONDA AMERICA SAYS THEY WILL ONLY TAKE ESTIMATES FROM HONDA DEALERS AND NOT OTHER STATE LICENSED MECHANIC. SOUNDS VERY FISHY TO ME!! I AM NOW OUT AC (DRIVING 40 MILES TO WORK AT THE TAIL END OF THE FLU), AND WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH MONEY NEXT. THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO PAY FOR IT ALL THEY SAID ALREADY, AND THEY HADN'T EVEN GOTTEN A QUOTE. I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO DO SOMETHING! The Passenger side has water coming in from the windowshield (I think that's were it is from) when it rains to the point it completely soaks and sometimes makes a puddle on the floor of the passengers side. This causes mold and a horrrible smell.

TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE AC LOOKED AT WAS TOLD THE COMPRESSOR HAD WHAT THEY CALLED BLACK DEATH. I WAS TOLD THAT THE COMPRESSOR HAD BLEW APART AND SENT SMALL PIECES OF METAL THROUGH THE AC SYSTEM. AND THE WHOLE COMPLETE SYSTEM HAS TO BE REPLACED I HAVE READ ON A FEW SITES OF OTHER PEOPLES CRV DOING THE SAME THING. PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE.

THE A/C STOPPED WORKING IN MY 05 HONDA CRV. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO SAID THAT MY A/C COMPRESSOR BLEW UP. SOMETHING HE CALLED. BLACK DEATH. THE COST TO REPAIR THIS WOULD JUST ABOUT EXCEED THE SALE PRICE OF MY CAR. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE FOR HONDA CRV A/C SYSTEMS. I CANNOT FIND A RECALL HOWEVER WHERE HONDA HAS ACCEPTED THE BLAME AND AGREED TO PUT OUT A RECALL AND FIX IT FOR THOSE OF US DEALING WITH THIS. WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME AND STARTED TO SLOWLY ACCELERATE AFTER BEING AT A STOPLIGHT (IT WAS HAVING DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING THEN WHEN I GOT UP TO 15MPH THERE WAS A VERY LOUD POP AND IT DIDN'T WANT TO REALLY WANT TO CONTINUE ACCELERATING BUT LUCKY I WAS ALMOST HOME ) AND MY A/C COMPRESSOR EXPLODED AND SENT SHARDS OF MEDAL THOUGH MY ENTIRE A/C SYSTEM. I WAS TOLD IT WAS CALLED "BLACK DEATH" MY SERPENTINE BELT LUCKY KEPT SPINNING AROUND THE LOCKED CLUTCH FOR ME TO GET HOME. I AM HAVING TO REPLACE MY A/C COMPRESSOR, CONDENSER, HIGH AND LOW LINES, EVAPORATOR CORE, EXPANSION VALVE, AND FLUSHING THE LINES THAT DON'T CHANGE. I WAS GETTING AN OIL CHANGE AND THE ATTENDANT DOING THE CHANGE POINTED OUT A PROBLEM WITH ALL FOUR OF MY TIRES. THE SIDEWALLS HAD MULTIPLE CRACKS IN THEM. SOME ARE AN INCH LONG AND LOOK DEEP. THE MANAGER OF THE FACILITY SAID THEY WERE CAUSED BY THE SUN. I CONTACTED MICHELIN AND THEY SEEMED TO AGREE. I DON'T BELIEVE IT. ALL FOUR TIRES HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I DON'T HAVE MY RECEIPT ANY LONGER. THE TIRES WERE PURCHASED IN FALL OF 2008. I THINK THE CRACKS ARE DANGEROUS AND COULD RESULT IN A BLOWOUT. I READ ABOUT 5 BLOWOUTS THAT OCCURRED WITH THESE SAME STYLE TIRES WHERE THE DRIVER DID NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED THE BLOWOUT. MAYBE THE TIRES HAD CRACKS. MICHELIN DOES NOT MAKE HARMONY TIRES ANYMORE. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ONE YEAR LATER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE FRONT AND BACK ACTUATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

VEHICLE IS A 2005 HONDA CRV. THE UPPER REAR HINGE ON THE TRUNK (OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE) RUSTED COMPLETELY OFF AND THE DOOR FELL OFF THE UPPER HINGE, AND DAMAGED THE LOWER HINGE AS WELL FROM THE WEIGHT. IT FELL ONTO MY UPPER LEG SEVERELY BRUISING IT, AND I HAD TO MUSCLE THE DOOR BACK ON UNTIL IT COULD BE REPAIRED. ACCORDING TO AMERICAN HONDA AND MY CASE N012010-03-3101277 (GENE) RUST IS ONLY COVERED FOR 3 YEARS. I AM ASTOUNDED THAT THEY FEEL THIS KIND OF THING IS OK TO HAVE HAPPEN AND THAT THEY ARE UNWILLING TO HELP RESOLVE THIS CLAIM. Slowed down to turn left into a driveway. As I turned, the car accelerated and the engine RPM crossed 5000. Had the brakes depressed but the vehicle accelerated and crashed into the garage door. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or an independent service center. The smog check was performed at a test center less than a month ago and passed. Engine light came on intermittently a couple times between the smog test and the day of the crash.

TAKATA RECALL: I TOOK MY CAR IN TO GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED PER THE RECALL NOTICE. MY AIRBAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON JUST AFTER THE REPLACEMENT. I TOOK THE CAR BACK AND THEY WANTED $125 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. A GARAGE SAID IT WAS THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. IN THE MANUAL IT CLEARLY STATES THAT "HONDA WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT ITS OPTION, ANY HONDA SEAT BELT COMPONENT THAT FAILS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY DURING ITS NORMAL USE. THIS INCLUDES ALL PARTS AND LABOR CHARGES." MY GREENWICH, CT HONDA SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS WARRANTY AND THEY WOULD NOT HONOR IT. I CALLED HONDA AMERICA, 2 PEOPLE SAID IT WAS COVERED, THE FINAL PERSON SAID NO. I HAVE READ FORUMS AND TALKED TO MANY OTHERS, AS YOU CAN SEE THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND MY AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. IF IT IS THE SENSOR, THAT IS A COMPONENT OF THE SEAT BELT. IT IS CLEARLY FAULTY ON THESE CARS. THE REAR DOOR FALLS OFF THE VEHICLE WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR. THERE IS ONLY ONE HINGE HOLDING THE DOOR ONTO THE BODY. IT IS MOUNTED HALFWAY DOWN THE DOOR AND IS EXTERNAL AND EXPOSED TO THE WEATHER. WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR THE METAL PIN THAT HOLDS THE HINGE TOGETHER HAS COMPLETELY RUSTED INSIDE THE HINGE AND IS COMPLETELY BROKEN HALF WAY DOWN INSIDE THE HINGE, SO THAT WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR THE HINGE PULLS APART AND THE DOOR FALLS OFF THE BODY. THIS REAR DOOR IS THE REAR HATCH OPENING ACCESS TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. IT COVERS THE ENTIRE REAR OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE ROOF TO THE FLOOR AND FROM THE LEFT SIDE TO THE RIGHT SIDE. THE CHANGED THE O2 SENSORS AND GAVE IT BACK. 2 WEEKS LATER, SAME THING ONLY NOW IT WAS BURNING OIL AND GAS AND RUNNING REALLY RICH. THE OIL SMELLS LIKE GAS EVEN. THEY DID A WHOLE ENGINE SWAP AND A NEW STARTER, AMONG OTHER THINGS. AND 2 WEEKS LATER IT STALLED OUT AGAIN. AND THE CRANK SHAFT AND VTEC SOLENOID NEEDED REPLACED. MY MECHANIC HAS ALSO INFORMED THAT OVER THE LAST NINE MONTHS OR SO, THEY HAVE SEEN AT LEAST 6-7 OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH HONDA CR-VS, COME IN WITH THE SAME RECURRING PROBLEM. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM ESPECIALLY IF IT'S OCCURRING TO MORE AND MORE HONDA CR-V OWNERS. AS A SIDE NOTE, MY HONDA CR-V ONLY HAS APPROXIMATELY 147,000 MILES ON IT.

I STOPPED AT A GAS STATION AND GOT GAS. I TURNED OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING BEFORE TURNING OFF THE ENGINE, AS ALWAYS. GOT IN AND STARTED THE CAR, TURNED ON THE A/C, AND IT BLEW HOT AIR. I KEPT TRYING IT ALL THE WAY HOME AND NOTHING BUT HOT AIR. THE NEXT DAY I NOTICED A TICKING SOUND UNDER THE HOOD WHEN IT WAS IDLING. MID SUMMER, BUT NO MONEY TO BRING IT IN. THE AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR. AN INDEPENDENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS THE COMPRESSOR BEARINGS FAILING INTERNALLY AND CAUSING A HOLE IN THE CASING. THE ESTIMATE IS $1350.00 TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR, CONDENSER, EXPANSION VALVE AND FLUSH THE SYSTEM OF FRAGMENTS THAT MAY HAVE ENTERED THE SYSTEM. AFTER A PHONE CALL TO AMERICAN HONDA I AM TOLD THERE IS NO SAFETY RECALL ON THIS ISSUE AND MY VEHICLE IS OUTSIDE IT'S WARRANTY PERIOD. SINCE THE REPAIRS HAVE ALREADY BEEN STARTED, I AM UNABLE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED HONDA DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS. I HAD THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG REPLACED UNDER RECALL. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE ON PASSENGER AIR BAG AND HAD IT REPLACE. AFTER THAT RECALL, THE SRS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND WON'T GO OFF. HAD HONDA DEALER CHECK IT AND WAS TOLD THAT IT'S THE DRIVER'S SIDE SENSOR IN THE SEAT BELT CLIP. COST WOULD BE OVER $800.00 TO FIX. IF SRS LIGHT IS ON AIR BAG WON'T DEPLOY. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON IT SINCE THE SRS LIGHT WAS NOT CAUSING A PROBLEM UNTIL THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WAS REPLACED. CAR HAS ABOUT 82,000 MILES ON IT.

I HAVE A HONDA CR-V EX PURCHASED 4/14/2005. IT HAS PULLED HARD TO THE RIGHT, ESPECIALLY DURING ACCELERATION, SINCE THE FIRST DAY. I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES TO HAVE THE PROBLEM CORRECTED AND THEY HAVE FAILED TO DO SO. PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND IT CONTINUED TO DO THE SAME. BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN A THIRD TIME. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER, AMERICA HONDA, PLACED THE STRUTS ON INCORRECTLY AND FIXED IT. PICKED THE VEHICLE UP AND IT NO LONGER PULLED TO THE RIGHT , HOWEVER THE VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WAS STILL THERE. BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN A FOURTH TIME , WENT FOR A TEST DRIVE WITH A TECHNICIAN AND HE STATED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH A VIBRATION AT 45 , 50 AND BETWEEN 60-70 MPH. THE DEALER THEN TEST DROVE 3 OTHER CR-V'S FROM THE LOT THEN STATED THAT THEY WERE AS BAD OR WORST THEN MINE. THE HEAD SUPERVISOR CONTACTED AMERICA HONDA AND GAVE THEM THE DETAILS. THEIR REPLY " SINCE ALL THE VEHICLES DO THAT IT MUST BE A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE." THE DEALER ADMITTED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM BUT SINCE AMERICA HONDA DID NOT RECONIZE IT THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A CLAIM UNDER THE FLORIDA LEMON LAW. ON 7/28-7/29 SPREEN HAD PREUTT''S WHEEL ALIGNMENT OF REDLANDS DO A SECOND ALIGNMENT WITH NO APPRECIABLE DIFFERENCE. THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO PULL TO THE RIGHT. SPREEN SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE, I WAS THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT IT, TO THEIR KNOWLEDGE, THAT THE PULLING TO THE RIGHT WAS INHERENT IN ALL FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES (WAS NOT A PROBLEM IN MY 1999 CR-V), THAT THEY HAD NO FURTHER COMMITMENT AND I SHOULD TALK TO AMERICAN HONDA. WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR FEELS AS THOUGH IT SKIPS WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED, THEN WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT, THE ENGINE MOMENTARILY "DIES", THE GENERAL WARNING SIGNAL AND THE VSA/ABS/AIRBAG/BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON AND THEN THE ENGINE SNAPS BACK ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY RETRIEVED FAILURE CODES IN THE ABS CONTROL MODULE: YAW RATE SENSOR FAILURE; SENSOR CLUSTER FAILURE. THE DEALER RESET THE CODES, COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND TOLD ME TO COME BACK IF IT DOES IT AGAIN. MY CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND HAS BEEN PARKED SINCE 6/1/17. I CONTACTED HONDA AND WAS ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER, BUT HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO ANYONE SINCE FILING THE COMPLAINT. AFTER RESEARCHING THE SYMPTOMS ON THE INTERNET, I DISCOVERED SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. WHEN I RESEARCHED THE CODES, I DISCOVERED THAT THE NHTSA HAD HONDA RECALL THE 2005 PILOT, ACURA MDX AND ACURA RLS. I HAVE A VIDEO OF IT HAPPENING BUT AM UPLOADING SCREENSHOTS. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE, A 2005 HONDA CRV WITH 56,781 MILES CURRENTLY, AND NO LONGER COVERED BY ANY WARRANTY. AT @ 55,500 MILES,THE CAR HAD THE ABS AND VSA LIGHTS COME ON SPONTANEOUSLY ON THE DASHBOARD DISPLAY WHICH INDICATED THAT THEY WERE NOT FUNCTIONAL. THEY WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO ITS REGULAR SERVICE DEALERSHIP, ECONOMY HONDA IN CHATTANOOGA,TN AND THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED (FREE OF CHARGE) AS A FAILURE OF THE ABS/VSA MODULATOR (COMPUTER). COST TO REPAIR WAS @ $2,400.00 (@ $1800 FOR THE PART, BALANCE LABOR). THEY SAID IT WAS O.K. TO DRIVE BUT IT HAD NO ANTI-LOCK BRAKES OR VSA. BECAUSE THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE, AN UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR, I CONTACTED THE DISTRICT HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE (CASE # N012011-03-1501146) AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM. THEY WERE MOST HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS. THEY RECORDED THE COMPLAINT AND AFTER 3 DAYS HONDA CALLED AND AGREED TO SHARE 50% OF THE COST TO REPAIR. THE CRV WAS REPAIRED ON MARCH 29,2011 AT THE SAME DEALERSHIP WITH MY COST SHARE OF $1206.79. IN MY INTERNET SEARCH ON THE PROBLEM, I FOUND AT LEAST 55 INSTANCES (USA, CA, AND EU) OF THE SAME ABS/VSA PROBLEM AND COST TO REPAIR ON ONE BLOG I FOUND. THERE WAS A GROAN COMING FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL WHEN MAKING A SHARP TURN OR TIGHT TURN AT LOW SPEED. THE MILEAGE WAS 18769 MILES. THE CAUSE WAS ATTRIBUTED TO CONTAMINATION OF THE FLUID IN THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. THE FLUID WAS DRAINED AND THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCHES WERE BURNISHED. HOWEVER, THE DRAINED FLUID WAS CLEAN. THIS NEW 05' HONDA CR-V EX HAS HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH NO RESOLVE FROM THE DEALER. IT HAS A CONTINUED PROBLEM OF PULLING TO THE RIGHT AS WELL AS VIBRATION AT HIGHER SPEEDS. WHILE ON A ROAD TRIP DRIVING HOME ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, THE A/C COMPRESSOR WENT OUT. AFTER A FEW MILES WARNING LIGHTS WENT OFF AND THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE SHOT UP AND IT STARTED OVERHEATING. WE GOT OFF OF THE HIGHWAY AS FAST AS WE COULD. WHEN WE PULLED OVER, MY HUSBAND OPENED THE HOOD AND INTENSE STEAM BLEW OUT FROM THE RADIATOR AREA. TURNED OUT THAT, UNBEKNOWNST TO US, THE COMPRESSOR SEIZED UP AND CAUSED THE SERPENTINE BELT TO BREAK, WHICH DISABLED THE WATER PUMP. IT RUINED THE DAMAGED THE RADIATOR AND WARPED THE HEAD GASKET. WE WERE 2 1/2 HOURS FROM HOME! ONCE WERE ABLE TO GET IT REPAIRED AND HOME, WE TOOK IT IN TO THE MECHANIC SO HE COULD LOOK AT THE A/C. METAL SHARDS WERE IN THE CONDENSER AND IT EVENTUALLY GOT INTO THE LINE AND INTO THE COMPRESSOR. ANOTHER A/C ISSUE HAS BEEN THE CONDENSER FAN. IT HAS TO BE REPLACED EVERY 3-4 YEARS. IT WAS REPLACED 3 YEARS AGO. IT IS OUT AGAIN.

MY HEADLIGHT BULBS BURN-OUT AFTER ONLY 4-6 WEEKS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS. THE SHORT-BULB-LIFE EVENT OCCURS ABOUT 70% ON THE DRIVER SIDE, AND ABOUT 30% ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THERE IS NO SIGN OF MOISTURE ENTERING THE BULB/LIGHT AREA. THIS IS A CONSTANT SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME SINCE THE PROBLEM MEANS I AM OFTEN DRIVING WITH ONLY ONE HEADLIGHT. WE BOUGHT OUR 2005 CR-V SE IN SUM 10 AND LOVE THE VEHICLE. SINCE THEN HOWEVER, WE'VE HAD TO CHANGE HEADLIGHT BULBS APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 12 TIMES. SOMETIMES A SINGLE BULB, SOMETIMES BOTH... THEY SIMPLY GO OUT EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS. WE EVEN HAD TO RIDE HOME ONE NIGHT WITH "HIGH BEAMS" BECAUSE THE BOTH LOW BEAMS SIMPLY FAILED. THE NEXT DAY WE PURCHASED NEW BULBS, INSTALLED THEM ON THE CR-V, AND NOW THE LOW-BEAMS WORK, BUT THE HIGH BEAMS DO NOT. IT'S KIND OF GETTING OLD BUYING NEW BULBS EVERY FEW MONTHS! MY PROBLEM/CONCERN IS THE FACT THAT WE HAVE A KNOWN RECALL FOR A EXTREMELY SIMILAR ISSUE ON 2002 THRU 2004 CR-V MODELS. INCREASED ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE MAY CAUSE THE TERMINAL ENDS TO MELT WITHIN THE WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR." THE FOLLOWING IS A PROBLEM THAT I HAVE WITH MY VEH, WHICH I HOPE YOU CAN RESOLVE. CR.V 2005 VIN # [XXX] MAINTENANCE HISTORY: ALL SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE WERE PERFORMED BY HONDA OF NANUET. PROBLEM: APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AFTER PURCHASE THE LED LIGHTS OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, STARTING FROM THE LEFT SIDE, BEGIN TO GO OUT. RESULTING THAT DURING NIGHT-TIME DRIVING I AM UNABLE TO SEE THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE AND PART OF THE RPM GAUGE. DURING A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE I BROUGHT THIS SITUATION UP, TO THE SVC MGR WHO PROMPTLY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NOT A COVERED ITEM. I MENTIONED THAT I WAS EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS SAFETY ISSUE BUT THE ISSUE WAS NOT RESOLVED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MORE OF THE LED LIGHTS HAVE STOPPED WORKING; THE ONLY LIGHTS THAT CONTINUE TO WORK ARE THE ONES ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SPEEDOMETER THAT LIGHT UP 120MPH THRU 140MPH. I was driving in town so, each block has either a stop sign or a traffic light. I realized that my brake pad seemed to get spongy. At the red light as I was nervous that there was something wrong I looked down and seen a light blinking but, it was my oil light. After heading to the next block my brakes were suddenly not doing anything and the pedal went down to the floor. I was not going fast so I decided that if I had to I would pull the emergency brake. I did that as well to no avail. I went to the closest parking lot and checked all my fluid. My oil was fine, my brake fluid was low. I added brake fluid and went on my way. The following day I left my home as usual and another light came on. The oxygen sensor. I'm not sure why the vehicle is doing this as I do keep up with maintenance. I have spoken with a mechanic , his assessment was it could be anything yet seems to be electrical. I did some research do to the fact that my car has been with me since 2009 (used). I would love to keep my car for as many more years as possible but, I also have to be safe. At this point it has to be something wrong with the products I'm using on my vehicle.

Passenger rear trailing arm broke off from body mount. Vehicle is still available for inspection. Coming to a stop sign and car came to an abrupt stop. Something had stopped the car before I even got to the stop sign. Coming down to the stop sign car began to lost steering and swayed back and forth. Car is in very good condition has 138,100 miles on it. But now it can,t be driven cant be fixed and be safe. Still books for $3200.00. Our family was left vulnerable to a horrible accident if going any faster when this happened. Broke down on a back road at 10:30 p.m. close to a stop sign. Had to be towed. A recall of the 2007 to 2011 CR-V. stated that this happens to those models. They didn't go back far enough on this recall and if I hadn't told people who still have the 2005- 2006 model they wouldn't have known and this could happen to them. Vehicle was inspected by insurance co. and Honda dealership and reported to Honda corp. Rust no coverage or repair for this vehicle. Mechanic looked at can't repair and make safe. Same problem as those vehicles recalled. But because it wasn't on the recall list there is nothing they can do about this vehicle. This left me, my loved ones vulnerable to a serious accident if I had been on a freeway let alone on any road going 50 and above in speed. No warnings what so ever that this could happen. No messages, no lamps no letters from Honda nothing.

TAKATA RECALL. I TOOK MY HONDA CRV TO THE DEALERSHIP LAST WEEK TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS REPLACED DUE TO THE RECALL. NOW MY AIR CONDITIONING WENT OUT. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM FIX THE ISSUE, BUT THEY TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS UNRELATED. THEY SAID THE COMPRESSOR LOCKED UP. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING UNTIL AFTER I TOOK IT IN. TOO COINCIDENTAL. AFTER DOING SOME ONLINE RESEARCH IT APEARS MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN WHICH HONDA DOES NOT COVER THE COST. PEOPLE ARE PAYING ROUGHLY $1000 TO REPLACE THEIR COMPRESSORS. I AM SUBMITTING A COMPLAINT BECAUSE THIS IS NOT RIGHT. I HOPE I AM NOT DEALING WITH A CORRUPT ORGANIZATION.

WITH HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE, SHE PLACED THE GEAR INTO PARK, REMOVED HER FOOT FROM THE BRAKE AND SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INTO A BUILDING. THE BRAKE ROTOR ON MY HONDA CRV 2005 IS DEFECTIVE. IT LOOKS LIKE STEEL IS NOT CARBONATED EVENLY AND THERE A SOME PIECES THAT DO NOT WEAR OFF. THOSE PEACES ARE BEATING ON THE BREAK PADS AND ARE THE REASON FOR A SAFETY CONCERN. I TOOK CAR TO HONDA, BUT WAS GIVEN SOME ABSURD DIAGNOSES, I.E. REAR DISKS HAVE RUST MARKS ON THEM, DUE TO LOW MILEAGE. FYI: MY CAR HAS 16,000 MILES ON IT. I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGEMENT, BUT THEY REFUSED TO TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT IT. THE POSITION OF THE TURN SIGNAL AT THE TOP OF THE HONDA CR-V AND THE CLEAR LENS HAS RESULTED IN ME BEING HIT 3 TIMES IN THE REAR IN THE 1 1/2 YEARS I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE. THE LAST INCIDENT, THE PERSON WHO HIT ME INSISTED THAT I DID NOT HAVE MY TURN SIGNAL ON EVEN WHEN HE STOOD BEHIND THE VEHICLE AND LOOKED AT IT -- IT WAS ONLY WHEN PEDESTRIANS TOLD HIM THAT THE SIGNAL WAS ON DID HE FINALLY REALIZE THAT HE JUST HAD A HARD TIME SEEING IT. THE FIRST INCIDENT THE WOMAN SAID SHE DIDN'T SEE THE TURN SIGNAL. IN ALL 3 CASES, THE ACCIDENTS OCCURRED ON A SUNNY DAY. I AM CONSTANTLY BEING SWORN AT AND YELLED AT TO TURN ON MY TURN SIGNAL AND I GET OUT AND LOOK AND IT IS INDEED ON. THE POSITION OF THE SIGNAL AT THE VERY TOP OF THE VEHICLE IS HIGHER THAN ANY OTHER VEHICLE ON THE ROAD -- NOT IN A POSITION THAT PEOPLE ROUTINELY LOOK FOR A TURN SIGNAL. IN ADDITION, THE CLEAR LENS MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE TURN SIGNAL ON SUNNY DAYS-- I HAVE PURPOSELY DRIVEN BEHIND 2005 CR-VS (THE ONLY YEAR THAT HONDA HAD CLEAR LENS ON THE TURN SIGNALS) AND CAN UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE HAVE A PROBLEM SEEING THE SIGNAL. I CALLED HONDA AND EXPRESSED MY CONCERN ABOUT MY SAFETY IN THIS CAR BECAUSE THE POSITION OF THE TURN SIGNAL SO HIGH ON THE CAR AND THE CLEAR LENS -- I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE DESIGN OF THE CR-V AND THEY GOT APPROVAL FOR THE DESIGN SO THEY WERE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THE SAFETY. I ASKED THEM WHY THE CLEAR LENS WERE USED FOR ONLY 2005 THINKING THAT OTHER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE CLEAR LENS SO THEY SWITCHED BACK TO THE YELLOW LENS IN 2006 BUT THEY DENIED THIS. THEY EVEN REFUSED TO SWITCH OUT THE CLEAR LENS FOR THE YELLOW LENS THAT THEY HAVE USED FOR EVERY OTHER YEAR OF THIS VEHICLE. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD LOOK INTO THIS BY DRIVING BEHIND 2005 CR-VS ON SUNNY DAYS AND CHECKING OUT THE TURN SIGNALS. *JB

THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED SEVERAL MECHANICAL PROBLEM WITH THE 2005 HONDA CRV EX. *NM THE CENTER BEARING WAS REPLACED BECAUSE IT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO VIBRATE/NOISE WHILE IDLING. WITH ONLY 6900 MILES ON OUR 2005 CRV ONE OF THE BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/T 684 FRONT TIRES BLEW WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH IN HER EMPLOYERS PARKING LOT. THE TIRE PRESSURE HAD JUST BEEN CHECKED TWO DAYS BEFORE THE BLOWOUT. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
