My airbag light came on on June 2, 2023. I called Honda to get an appointment, inwhich I did for 6/20/23 for them to diagnose and do a state inspection. On 6/20/23, I was told that I had a FAULTY CABLE REEL. I was told that my car would not pass inspection without me getting this repaired at the cost of $760.99. I got it repaired on 6/21/23 due to the part having to be ordered and received that day.

The contact owns a 2011 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph in inclement weather, the vehicle slid on ice and collided with a steel pole, breaking the pole. The contact was unsure if there were warning lights illuminated. The impact of the crash was on the driver's side, and the rear of the vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The driver sustained head, neck, shoulder, and mid-back injuries, and medical treatment was provided to the contact. A police report was taken. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the air bag, air bag sensor, driver's headlamp, driver's seat belt, and driver's door, needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000.

DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR. It is constantly malfunctioning. You are driving with small kids, and the doors keep unlocking and locking as the vehicle is in motion. I am very concerned, especially with children inside. It gets to a point that it sounds like a machine gun while you are driving, so, if you forget about it, suddenly you hear the loud noise and you think there is a drive by shooting nearby. There was a class action lawsuit regarding this a few years ago and a recall on this part. Today I locked my car after I parked and went into my house, suddenly I heard this horn noise on and off by itself without touching the key or the fob. I find this extremely dangerous. Let's say you get trapped inside your car and suddenly you cannot get out. I looked a little dipper and found out that Honda did not want to fix this issue. This is unacceptable and very unfair. Is there something someone can do to remediate it?

I'm driving along and the car door locks don't recognize that there already locked. They keep going off. The car is shut off and the door locks keep going off and the dom light keeps coming on every time the doors lock even though they are already locked. I couldn't get out of my car the other day because of this. I know now why someone sold it to the dealer ship. I've had the car a couple of months and I'm ready to sell it. I don't feel safe. Also the navigation date will not stay on the current day of 2024. It keeps rebooting back to Feb 2005. I bought it July 25, 2024 for $14,835. Apparently, I'm not the only car out there that has this problem. Why is this not being fixed. It is a SAFETY HAZARD TO GET LOCKED IN YOUR VEHICLE AND CANT GET OUT. I HAD TO CALL ROAD SIDE ASST. This is unacceptable when I pay this kind of money for a vehicle.

Sporadically the passenger rear door and trunk will lock (then unlock randomly) and there’s no getting them unlocked using the fob nor using the unlock button. The door simply has to unlock itself and the only way to get the trunk opened (till it decides to unlock itself) is to crawl thru the backseat and pull the inside lever.

My driver door and my back hatchback door would not open or unlock. I tried the actual key in the drivers door would not open and I tried two different remotes & neither would open the driver door or the back hatchback. I’m having to replace the actuator in both doors at this time!

The glass pane of my sunroof imploded while driving on the highway. The damage sounded like an explosion or something falling through the sunroof. The glass exploded “up” instead of down into the cavity between the glass and roof visor. There was no projectile. I took plenty of photographs. The failure happened suddenly without any indication of glass failure. I feel that my safety was impacted because it thoroughly startled myself and my passenger. The road was full of cars and the explosions could easily have put me in an unsafe position. Furthermore the glass pieces exploded out onto the highway which could have startled the driver behind me. As of writing, the car is being inspected by a mechanic and a glass replacement company. I called Honda corporate and they said they were not aware of any such malfunctions. Endurance refusal to pay for A/C compressor! A/C was not working took to mechanic! Brian the mechanic at Larsons auto repair informed me it was compressor failure called endurance, they called auto repair, said they talked to ladies in office, they say no. I called talked to tech he said compressor not seal! Endurance told auto repair it was seal, not covered! I called talked to Brian! He said compressor! Endurance not willing to pay! I pay $190 per month! I believe it’s a scam!

Car makes horrible sound when cranking. I work with three other people that have Honda CRv cars that are having this exact same noise occurring every time they crank their cars as well. Google search indicates it may be a cam actuator gear assembly gone bad.

I AM THE OWNER OF 2011 HOND VIN# [XXX] . THAT WAS PURCHASE IN 04/16/2021. I WAS PARKING MY VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT AT [XXX] I PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES AS I ATTEMPTED TO PARK. THE CAR ACCELERATED AND HIT A VEHICLE IN FRON OF ME. I WAS STARTLED BY THIS OCCURRENCE. I THEN PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND AGAIN STEPPED ON MY BRAKES WHILE TRYING TO BACK OFF FROM THE STRUCK CAR. THE CAR AGAIN ACCELERATED AND HIT THE CAR BEHIND ME CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THAT CAR AND MY VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THE CAR HAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, the vehicle failed the State Inspection due to frame corrosion. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed with severe frame corrosion, and the failure was beyond repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue approximately five times, but the contact had not yet received a call back after approximately two months. The failure mileage was approximately 121,000.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the rear subframe was severely rusted. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available and that the vehicle was not safe to be driven. The contact was further advised by the dealer to no longer drive the vehicle until the recall parts were available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 124,651. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact stated that after the recall repair was performed on the vehicle, the vehicle was bouncing off the road surface while driving over uneven or bumpy road surfaces, nearly causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Oil consumption is exaggerated with to obvious observed signs, I.e, no visible leaks, no blue smoke from tailpipe, no smell behind vehicle. Oil needs to be added every ~70 miles as per the dipstick. Engine light will illuminate when oil too low. Car running fine otherwise. Is this happening to others? Respectfully, Careful Driver

The oil consumption of this vehicle is extremely high and has progressively gotten worse to the point it has become undrivable. I have to put oil in every other day. It's completely not okay to make and sell faulty vehicles

I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON MY TOWN'S STREETS AROUND 35 MPH AS USUAL WHEN MY VEHICLE'S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AND I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE PAST 20 MPH. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE AUTOZONE IN TOWN AND THEY STATED IT WAS AN ENGINE MISFIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE NEAREST CAR REPAIR SHOP AS A HONDA DEALERSHIP WAS OVER 25 MILES AWAY AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS AN ENGINE MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 1. THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT CAUSED THE MISFIRE. WHY WAS CRV'S NOT INCLUDED UNDER THE CLASS LAWSUIT WITH HONDA?

THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND SIDE OF THE CAR WERE SMASHED. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A HONDA COLLISION REPAIR SHOP. AMERICAN HONDA CAME OUT AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION AND THAT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME "IS NOT KNOWN TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE." THE DAMAGE WAS $5885. I WAS VERY UPSET BECAUSE I LOVED THE CRV, BUT KNEW I COULD NOT CHANCE A REPEAT PERFORMANCE. THIS MEANT TRADING IT IN AT A SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL LOSS TO MY FAMILY. CONTINENTAL ADVERTISES TIRES ARE WARRANTED FOR 65,000 MILES OR 6 YEARS. IT BECAME NECESSARY TO REPLACE ALL 4 TIRES 3/19/14 AT 31,013 MILES OR LESS THAN HALF THE EXPECTED LIFE OF THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE AND TIRES CONSISTENTLY WERE SERVICED BY ACCREDITED HONDA DEALER & TIRE PRESSURE MAINTAINED. ADDITIONALLY, ON APRIL 6, 2012 THE RIGHT REAR TIRE WENT FLAT WITH NO CAUSE PROVIDED AND REPLACED AT A COST OF $193.00. I HAVE RECEIVED NO COMPENSATION FOR THAT TIRE. SUBSEQUENTLY, ON 4/22/14 HONDA REPRESENTATIVE [XXX] RESPONDED TO MY LETTER OF 4/6/14. HE REFERRED ME TO CONTINENTAL TIRE & DENIED ANY COMPENSATION FROM HONDA. ON 4/23/14, ?[XXX]? I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON THE FREEWAY AND HEARD A NOISE LIKE AIR RUSHING. MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON AND I PULLED OVER. THE TIRE BLEW OUT IN TWO PLACES ON THE INSIDE OF THE LEFT REAR TIRE. Wheels are significantly misaligned causing tire wear and vibration while driving. Rear struts need to be replaced and are not functioning properly. Rear control arm needs to be replaced with adjustable control arm to achieve proper alignment. Wheel alignment is more that 2 degrees off with normal vehicle usage.

The "rear frame deterioration" recall was performed by the Dealer, Honda of Keene, NH, within the requirements set out by Honda. However, the service manager at the dealer tells me the same corrosion that initiated the recall is severe and still does not allow the vehicle to pass safety inspection in my state. Therefore, I cannot use the car and is has no resale value. Per the intent of state safety inspection the car remains unsafe. He has indicated this same concern to Honda USA directly with no response to him. He has photographs of the corrosion that he offered to Honda also with no response. I have had a conversation with "Arla" at Honda USA Customer service regarding this problem on June 2nd or 3rd. They are not willing to offer me any alternative, such as a full frame repair or to repurchase if the vehicle from me. The car has been at the dealer for approximately three months now pending resolution. I have called Honda USA again requesting they call me back for the past two weeks with no response. I propose that Honda has not satisfied the recall as the vehicle remains unsafe.

On March 15, 2023, I was driving on clear, dry pavement at approx. 50 mph when I heard a loud bang from the rear of my Honda CR-V and almost lost control of my steering. I maintained enough control to stay on the roadway and brought the car to a stop after about 200 yards. I had the car towed to my regular mechanic who told me that the suspension had fallen away from the frame of the car and it wasn't fixable. I contacted Honda at an 800 number and was told that I needed to have a Honda dealership confirm the problem, which I did. After further research online, I found out that Honda of Canada had issued a recall for certain year models of my car for a corrosion issue that would cause a failure in the part that connects the suspension to the frame. I then contacted Honda of North America requesting help; I was informed that Honda recalls vehicles solely by VIN, and there was no recall issued for mine. So here I sit with a useless car and no recourse.

I was on the highway driving straight and steady. The driver side rear wheel/ lower control arm went to a 30 degree angle and pulled the axle from the rear differential. The wheel locked up and the vehicle was very difficult to control. I skidded to the shoulder leaving a 400 foot skid mark. Thankfully there was no one near me as traffic was very light. If road or traffic conditions were any worse there would almost certainly been a serious accident. I have extensive mechanical experience and have never seen a 11 year old vehicle fail from corrosion in this manor. There is a recall in Canada for this exact issue and Honda is/has helped repair/replace many there vehicles with this issue. It has been inspected by NYS inspectors annually and never raised any flags. I was never notified by honda to check to check for this issue and the dealership it was bought from is refusing to help. The 2011 Crv appears relatively rust free other than the area that failed and the other side almost as bad. This is a serious safety issue and Honda needs to do something to prevent future injuries and deaths. This failure happened with no warning at all. Thank you.

I keep having to replace the rack and pinion due to poor steering, loose steering, and leaking fluid. Replaced in 2019, am now replacing again in 2023 after putting less than another 20k miles on the car in this four-year timespan.

UPON TAKING THIS VEHICLE IN FOR ITS 90,000 MILE MAINTENANCE SERVICE, THE HONDA CERTIFIED MECHANICS INFORMED US THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK WAS LEAKING FLUID AND WOULD NOT PASS NEW YORK STATE SAFETY INSPECTION. THE EXACT MILEAGE OF THE CAR WAS AT 91653. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE RACK SYSTEM AT A COST TO US OF OVER $1,000.00. THIS SYSTEM FAILURE SHOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED AT THIS STAGE OF THE CAR'S LIFE. I WOULD LIKE AN INVESTIGATION INITIATED TO SEE IF A RECALL IS WARRANTED. SOME ONLINE RESEARCH HAS SHOWN ME THAT OTHER 2011 CRV OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM.

VERY EARLY FAILURE OF POWER STEERING RACK AND PINION. THE DEALER/HONDA DID NOT PROVIDE A BETTER MECHANISM TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE. I THINK HONDA POWER STEERING IS A VERY DEFECTIVE PART THAT THEY ARE SELLING TO CUSTOMERS AND CHARGING HEFTY DOLLARS $1750 TO REPAIR AT THE CUSTOMER'S EXPENSE.

I HAVE NOTICED THE STEERING BECOMING MORE AND MORE STIFF. IT WILL NOT RETURN TO THE STRAIGHT POSITION UNLESS YOU FORCEFULLY TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS OCCURS WHILE IN MOTION ON HIGHWAYS OR CITY STREETS.

I was at a corner waiting for traffic to clear so I could make a turn left. When I started to accelerate the vehicle started to hesitate and continued. The on coming car had to slam on their brakes and swerve to avoid hitting my passenger side. Since that time I had found out there was a service bulletin relating to this problem. Honda Service Bulletin 17-040. This is my granddaughters car and now I am reluctant to let her drive the vehicle. It is a very serious safety issue!! My frustration is that when I have discussed the issue with 2 different Honda dealers they didn't disclose there was a bulleting but rather recommended changing the transmission fluid and the information was confusing. One dealer recommended changing the fluid once and another recommended I change it three times at the same appointment. Since the incident I have had an opportunity to drive my other granddaughters 2011 Honda CRV and it is displaying the same shudder issue on acceleration and when you are at 40 miles and try to accelerate which she noticed. Obviously, if you were trying to pass another vehicle on a two lane highway and it started the shudder you would be involved in a head on crash resulting in serious injury or death. I believe there should be a recall to correct this problem. The cost to replace the torque converter is $3,000 +. The bulletin 17-040 states the affect vehicles are 2012-14. It needs to be revised to include 2011 Honda CRV vehicle. I found the bulletin myself through a group that shares information regarding Honda CRV vehicles. My 2011 Honda CR-V's Check Engine Light came on within the past week, and continues to stay on. I went to Autozone to get a diagnostic check. Per their recommendations, I tightened the fuel tank cap but the check engine light is still on. It also diagnosed a P0455 EVAP, Emission Control System Leak Trouble Code. Honda has quoted me $900 to repair including needing to destroy interior panel and pay to replace part due to issue that was recalled in 2007-09 CR-V's. Approximately mileage is 160,000.

THE MANUFACTURER, BLUE OX OBVIOUSLY WAS AWARE THAT DANGEROUS SITUATIONS COULD OCCUR AS THEY HAVE A PARAGRAPH IN THE BACK OF THEIR MANUAL ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A "FALSE BREAKAWAY" HAVING THIS OCCUR COULD HAVE RESULTED INTO A SERIOUS FATAL ACCIDENT. THIS IS IN REFERENCE TO WHAT WE BELIEVE IS A PRODUCT DEFECT IN OUR 2011 HONDA CR-V EX THAT HAS OCCURRED TWO TIMES TO DATE. AFTER THEIR INSPECTION, THE CLAIMED THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD FIND WRONG WITH THE CAR. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE THE CAR BACK BECAUSE IT WAS LEASED AND THEIR TRADE PROPOSITION WAS COST PROHIBITIVE. WE DROVE IT AND THE SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED. Scheduled recall to be looked at, however my local dealership called me the day of appointment to tell me they do not have the part for that and would need to order it and then schedule my appointment. So the person ordered it and then I had to call back to see if the part came in yet. Upon looking at my car on a lift, they told me they would have to charge me to fix the car because the lug nut they stripped looking at my vehicle was stripped. I was not willing to pay them so the dealership sent me home. I called back to see how to fix it and they never offered me an answer. It’s been needing the recall for years since and no Honda dealership is able to fix it.

SAID HONDA CR-V PURCHASED 05/22/14 AT PORT CHARLOTTE HONDA AND WAS TRADED IN ABOUT 2 HOURS PRIOR TO PURCHASE.OUR 2007 LINCOLN TOWN CAR WAS SUPPOSEDLY SOLD PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL AT DEALERSHIP. THEY INSISTED WE DRIVE THE HONDA HOME AND RETURN FOR THE SERVICES THE NEXT WEEK AS PROMISED. THE FRONT TIRES WERE VERY BALD BEING THE ORIGINAL TIRES THAT CAME ON IT IN 2011. WE INSISTED THAT AT THE LEAST THE FRONT AND REAR TIRES BE ROTATED SO THE BETTER (NOT EXACTLY TRUE) WERE ON THE FRONT SINCE IT WAS A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE. UPON RETURNING FOR SERVICE I TOLD MIKE AND ERIC I WASN'T AT ALL HAPPY WITH THE CONDITION OF THE 2 TIRES ON THE FRONT, IT WAS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE. The contact owns a 2011 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the rear driver's side wheel, the lower control arm, and the axle detached, causing the contact to almost lose control of the vehicle. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V228000 (Structure) and contacted the manufacturer for the recall repair. The manufacturer advised the contact to tow the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where a regional field inspector from Honda determined that the vehicle was beyond repair due to severe frame corrosion. The manufacturer opened a case. The contact stated that the recall remedy also involved buying back the vehicle if the vehicle was beyond repair; however, the contact had not received a call back from the manufacturer since April 2023. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact became aware of extensive rust on the rear frame and suspension. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. Rust hole found in unibody at passenger's side rear where trailing arm bolts to vehicle in front of passenger's side rear wheel. Because this is so close to the bolt for the trailing arm, this is an immediate safety issue. Hole originally there but rust caused it to enlarge significantly. The trialing arm could break at any point and cause a severe crash. I was about to go on a long road trip and very likely this could have broken. Consumer stated the safety issue is caused by a design flaw in the 2007-2011 Honda CR-V models and in fact a recall for this issue has happened in Canada. The issue was discovered by my local mechanic during a routine oil change and tire rotation. There were no warnings, messages, or symptoms. After researching I found that this exact issue is being recalled in Canada but not in the United States. I live in Vermont and experience the same harsh winters and salted roads as Canada. Shocked that this is not a recall in my area.

I WAS ACCELERATING FROM AN ON RAMP TO ENTER THE HIGHWAY. AFTER I WAS IN THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, I HIT MY BRAKES TO KEEP PACE WITH THE TRAFFIC. MY BRAKE PEDAL WOULD ONLY MOVE SLIGHTLY AND THE ENGINE WAS REVING. I MOVED THE SHIFTER TO NEUTRAL AND THE ENGINE WAS STILL REVVING. I THEN HIT THE BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF THE GEAR SHIFT TO PUT THE CAR IN D3 AND CONTINUE TO TRY THE BRAKES. THE BRAKES FINALLY STARTED WORKING I PUT ON MY 4 WAY FLASHERS AND MOVED TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK. AS I SAT THERE I KEPT TESTING THE BRAKES TO INSURE THE PEDAL WOULD MOVE TOWARD THE FLOOR AND KEPT REVVING THE ENGINE TO BE SURE IT WOULD SLOW DOWN WHEN I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS. THE CR-V HOUSING CONFIGURATION DOES NOT ALLOW LIGHTING TO BE ADJUSTED FOR ANY DISTANCE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED IN FORUMS ALL OVER THE INTERNET FOR YEARS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. The rear driver's side door remains unlocked unless physically locked. Locking with the fob or with buttons in the front of the vehicle does not work. This is dangerous for children as child lock does not function. A child could open the door intentionally or unintentionally and create a serious hazard for themselves as aell as other drivers. It is also dangerous as it allows criminals entry into the vehicle if the driver is not aware that this lock isn't functioning or merely forgets.

The contact stated that while his client was driving at undisclosed speeds, the driver’s side door lock actuator mechanism would independently lock and unlock on all four doors without warning. The contact's client could hear the doors locking and unlocking while driving. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic where he determined that the door lock actuator was defective and needed to be replaced. Received recall notice from Honda, attempted to make an appointment in May 2023 with Lia Honda in Enfield. Lia Honda failed to return multiple calls and set up an appointment, telling me “We will call you when we have the parts for this recall”. Once it reached September, I called a Honda dealership and repair center in Manchester and have an appointment with them in November 2023. This is completely unacceptable as the recall states that failure to make this appointment can cause the operator to lose control of the vehicle and crash.

The contact owns a 2011 Honda CR-V. The contact stated a heater box (part number 79106-SXS-A41) was ordered from Honda between the end of October 2023 and the beginning of November 2023. via local mechanic J. D. Works, 4529 Route 23, Cairo, New York, 12413. The contact stated on 2 occasions, the part was ordered and received, with the right part number, but was the wrong part. The part was returned and then the part became unavailable with not release date of when to expect it. Next, there was a January 9, 2024 release date for the part and that was canceled. Honda then stated the part would be available on February 9, 2024, however, a part came in with the right number, but the wrong part. The contact states that each occurrence increases the labor fees as the entire dashboard and the steering must be removed to replace the part. The dealer and manufacturer were notified of the issue. The contact has spoken to the manufacturer more than 15 times about a part that was either mislabeled or mis-manufactured.

TAKATA RECALL DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. SINCE REPLACEMENT I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE DASH WARNING LIGHTS INDICATE THAT THE BAGS ARE NOT WORKING AND THE SIDE AIR BAGS ALSO ARE NOT WORKING, THESE WARNINGS HAPPEN EVERY TIME I START THE CAR! I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALER (THE ONE THAT REPLACED BOTH BAGS) AND PAID AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE CHECKED. AT THAT TIME I ALSO MENTIONED MY COMPLAINT FROM PURCHASE THAT THE IGNITION KEY GETS VERY HOT AND THAT THE AUTO BATTERY MUST BE REPLACED EVERY TWO YEARS! WAS AT VERY LOW SPEED AND ATTEMPTING TO PARK MY CAR IN A MALL PARKING SPOT. AS I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN FURTHER AND PARK THE CAR AND TURNING INTO THE SPOT, THE CAR ACCELERATED EVEN THOUGH I APPLIED MAXIMUM PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND I SIDE SWIPED ONE CAR ON MY LEFT AND RAMMED THE CAR IN FRONT OF MY SPACE---MY CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. THE CAR FINALLY STOPPED BECAUSE OF THE IMPACT TO THE OTHER VEHICLE AND I FINALLY COULD TURN THE CAR OFF AS IT WAS STILL RUNNING. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. WITH 28,000 MILES NOW ON OUR 2011 CRV THAT WE BOUGHT NEW ALL 4 TIRES WERE WORN OUT WITH 13,550 MILES ON THEM,AND HAD ALWAYS HAD A VERY SLIGHT FRONT END BUMP. I BOUGHT A NEW 2011 HONDA CR V AND HAVE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THE ENGINE MAINTAINED ITS SPEED OR ACCELERATED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKE AND TRIED TO STOP. THE WORST INCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN I TRIED TO COME TO A STOP AT A RED LIGHT WITH CARS IN FRONT OF ME. I APPLIED BRAKE AND CAR STOPPED BUT ENGINE RACED. I bought my car in 2021, and starting immediately I had issues with my tires going flat, my suspension jolting any time a bump was hit, my gear shift does not fully shift into park which makes it nearly impossible to get my key out of the ignition, I was given a spare key to someone else’s car and was never issued a new one, and dealership (CarMax) has not made an attempt to help with repair on current safety recall.

I was driving down a road on the way to take my son to his swim team training. I got about f 5 min away from our home and I felt a large clunk, almost as if I ran something over that was large. I had difficulty steering my vehicle, had a loud weird noise coming from the vehicle, and pulled over. I inspected the vehicle outside, I hit nothing. wheels looked fine. I popped open the hood and started to inspect, it was getting dark so it was difficult to see. I found that the engine mount bolts had sheared clean off of the engine, causing the engine to drop, cracking the engine bracket and the engine almost falling out of the vehicle onto the ground. It it was not for the cross member below it may have completely fallen out.. the vehicle had to be towed as it was not drivable at this point. I had the vehicle towed to Schlossmanns Honda in Greenfield WI for repair. Currently my vehicle is at a Honda dealer being inspected for corrosion as I live in the rust belt and there is a recall for corrosion on this vehicle.

AS POSTED ON YOUR WEBSITE! THE AC/COMPRESSORS PICK UP HAZARDOUS MATERIALS/WASTE THAT IS THEN PUSHED THROUGHOUT THE AC UNIT! AIRPORT HONDA HAS HAD KNOWLEDGE BEFORE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED OF THIS PROBLEM IN CRV'S. THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE THIS COSTLY ISSUE, NEGLECTED TO FIX IT, & IT DID MALFUNCTION. I PAID FOR COSTLY REPAIRS, & I PAID HONDA FOR A PLATINUM VEHICLE WARRANTY! I'M CONCERNED THAT NHTSA HAS NOT HELD HONDA RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS STATING IT'S NOT SAFETY ISSUE WHEN IT VERY CLEARLY IS! TAKATA RECALL. I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED AND THE DAY I GOT ON IT BACK, 29JUN16, THE ABS/VSA SYSTEM HAD SHUTDOWN ON ME. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY AND WASN'T ABLE TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF SINCE THE TECHNICIANS WERE GONE. TWO DAYS LATER THEY WERE ABLE TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT AND THEY SAID IT SEEMS TO BE A FAULTY SENSOR OR WIRING ISSUE. AFTER HAVING THE SENSOR REPLACED THE SYSTEM STILL SHUTDOWN ON ME. AS OF YESTERDAY, AND SEVERAL TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY DETERMINED THAT THE VSA MODULE HAD FAILED. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND DISCOVERED THAT VSA MODULE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED BEFORE THAT LED UP TO A LAWSUIT AND RECALL ON VSA MODULES. I DON'T BELIEVE I'M THE ONLY ONE OUT THERE STILL HAVING VSA MODULE FAILURE ISSUES. IS THIS STILL A PROBLEM YOU GUYS ARE GETTING COMPLAINTS ABOUT? EACH TIME THE FAULT RESULTED IN THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM TURNING ON WITH NO WAY OF TURNING IT OFF WHICH ESSENTIALLY MEANS YOU ARE IN ALL WHEEL DRIVE MODE EVEN ON THE HIGHWAY. I BROUGHT IT IN TO THE DEALER WHO BASICALLY SAID THAT THE PROBLEM IS DUE TO THE TPMS SYSTEM FAULTING OUT DUE TO RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE CAUSED BY A CELL PHONE CHARGER CORD PLUGGED INTO 12V ACCESSORY OUTLETS IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN THE CAR IS DRIVEN MORE THAN 49 MPH FOR OVER 20 MINUTES . THE RADIO INTERFERENCE AFFECTS MOST HONDA CARS. HONDA WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE COST TO RESET THE TPMS SYSTEM.

BACK IN OCTOBER 2015, MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING ME TO THE AIRPORT AT 5 AM. AS WE APPROACHED TO TURN ONTO THE HIGHWAY, THE POWER STEERING DIED AND THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TURNED OFF. WE WERE STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF A DANGEROUS INTERSECTION WITH NO WAY TO FIX THE CAR. WE COULD NOT SHIFT THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL TO PUSH IT OFF THE ROAD. THE POLICE CAME AND SOME GOOD SAMARITANS. SOMEONE FOUND A WAY TO MANUALLY POP SOMETHING OFF TO FORCE THE CAR TO SHIFT AND THAT'S HOW WE GOT THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I HAD MY 3 YEAR OLD SON WITH ME AT THE TIME TOO. IT WAS AN INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. WHILE I WAS AWAY, THE MECHANIC SHOP LOOKED AT MY CAR AND SAID IT WAS THE COMPUTER. THEY SAID IT WAS LIKE A 2K FIX. WE HAD IT TOWED TO THE MILLENIUM HONDA BECAUSE THAT'S THE DEALERSHIP OF PURCHASE. MILLENIUM HONDA FIXED IT AND SAID IT WAS THE IGNITION FUSE. NOW IT'S APRIL AND OUT OF NORMAL USE (MY CAR IS 2011 AND ONLY 54K MILE), THE CAR WON'T START. IT WAS FULLY FUNCTIONING THE NIGHT BEFORE AND NOTHING WAS LEFT ON. STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY, IT WOULD NOT START. IT'S NOT THE BATTERY BECAUSE THAT WAS CHANGED IN MARCH. NO SOUND WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY. NOTHING WAS LEFT ON. TODAY, WAITING FOR DEALERSHIP TO COME TO A CONCLUSIVE RESOLUTION TO THE SITUATION. THIS HAS SHAKEN MY BELIEF IN THE RELIABILITY OF MY CAR. WHETHER IT'S A COMPUTER PROBLEM OR WHATEVER, IT IS PUTTING MY FAMILY AND I IN DANGER IF IT DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. POWER STEERING OR ELECTRICAL FAILURE IS NOT OK. I TOGGLED THE WINDOW SWITCH A FEW TIMES AND THE WINDOW EVENTUALLY WENT BACK UP, SO I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A GLITCH. WE LIVE IN ARIZONA WHERE THE SUMMERTIME IS VERY HOT, SO THE WINDOW WAS NEVER USED AGAIN DUE TO AIR CONDITIONING. THE WINDOW WAS USED RECENTLY BECAUSE THE WEATHER HAS COOLED DOWN FROM THE SUMMER HEAT. THIS TIME, TOGGLING THE SWITCH DID NOT WORK AND THE WINDOW STAYED IN THE DOWN POSITION COMPLETELY. I TOOK THE HONDA CR-V TO A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP WHICH DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AS A FAULTY MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH. I'VE RESEARCHED AND DISCOVERED THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH FAULTY MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCHES ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT HONDA MODELS. THERE ARE SEVERAL RECALLS AFFECTING JUST UNDER ONE MILLION AUTOMOBILES MANUFACTURED AND THERE IS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD ACCORDING TO HONDA. THE COMPANY'S RECALL STATEMENT SAYS, "WATER, RAIN, OR OTHER LIQUID MAY ENTER THE DRIVER'S WINDOW AND REACH THE MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH, RESULTING IN IMPAIRED FUNCTION OF THE SWITCH...SWITCH IS DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF THE LIQUID INTRUSION, IT MAY RESULT IN FAILURE OF THE SWITCH AND OVERHEATING...AN OVERHEATING SWITCH MAY CAUSE SMOKE, MELTING OR, POTENTIALLY, FIRE." THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION OPENED AN INVESTIGATION INTO A FIRE HAZARD WITH THE MASTER POWER SWITCH ON THE HONDA CR-VS. WE PULLED OUR HONDA CRV 2011 INTO A PARKING LOT AT BONEFISH GRILL IN CANTON OHIO ON NOVEMBER 30, 2014. MY MOTHER WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT AND THE ACCELERATOR MOVED TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR COULD NOT BE STOPPED BY SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES. WE DO NOT PLAN ON EVER GETTING IN THIS VEHICLE AGAIN AND WILL NOT TRUST ANY VEHICLE THAT HONDA BUILDS AS WELL. THIS INCIDENT LUCKILY HAPPENED IN A PARKING LOT. IF WE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN INTERSECTION WE OR SOMEONE ELSE WOULD LIKELY HAVE BEEN KILLED. WITH 23,700 MILES, HONDA DEALER INFORMED ME THAT TIRES WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED DUE TO "EXCESSIVE WEAR AND TEAR". HAVE LEARNED THAT MANY 2011 CRV OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM, AND THAT ALTHOUGH HONDA ISSUED A TSB ON THE TIRE MATTER, THEY HAVE PROVIDED NO CAUSE, RECALL OR MONETARY INCENTIVE. WHILE DRIVING ON UN-CROWDED HIGHWAY SUNROOF LOUDLY EXPLODED AND RAINED GLASS INTO AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. HIGHWAY SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE APPROXIMATELY 40 DEGREES. THE CAR WAS IN AN INDOOR PARKING LOT. DRIVER BACKED UP OUT OF ITS PARKING SPACE AT A LOW SPEED AND BUMPED INTO A WALL BEHIND THE PARKING SPOT. AT THAT POINT, THE CAR JUMPED INTO DRIVE AND BEGAN ACCELERATING WITHOUT DRIVER DOING ANYTHING. DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKE, BUT THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND HIT A CEMENT PYLON. I WAS PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPOT IN REVERSE IN A CROWDED MOVIE THEATER PARKING LOT WHEN MY 2011 HONDA CR-V ACCELERATED AT FULL SPEED INTO THE CEMENT POLE BEHIND ME. CONFUSED, I PUT THE CAR IN 'DRIVE' TO PULL MYSELF AWAY FROM THE POLE, WHEN THE CAR ONCE AGAIN ACCELERATED AT FULL SPEED FORWARD TOWARD THE SPOT I WAS ORIGINAL IN HITTING AND CONTINUALLY PUSHING A PARKED MINI-VAN, WHICH IN TURN PUSHED AND KEPT PUSHING THE PARKED CAR NEXT TO IT. IN AN ATTEMPT TO STOP THE CAR, I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND ONCE AGAIN WENT IN REVERSE, CRASHING INTO THE SAME CEMENT POLE. DESPITE THE FACT THAT I BORE DOWN ON THE BRAKES REPEATEDLY, THE CAR DID NOT STOP UNTIL I PUT THE CAR IN 'PARK". IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER, I TURNED THE CAR OFF. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE HONDA DEALER AT LEAST 5 TIMES AND GET DIFFERENT REASONS SUCH AS TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW, TIRE WAS REPAIRED DUE TO A NAIL , WE COULDN'T FIND NOTHING WRONG AND WE JUST RESET IT, AND SINCE YOU WERE DRIVING IN COLD TEMPERATURES THE LIGHT HAS A TENDENCY TO ONE. HOWEVER, I TOOK THE CAR IN JUST TO WEEKS AGO AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRE PRESSURES WERE LOW AND SOMEBODY AT WORK MUST HAVE BEEN DEFLATING MY TIRES WHICH I FIND BURDEN. THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT MY CR-V, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES ON THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP TESTED THE LIGHT, AND FOUND IT TO BE A FAULTY FTP SENSOR, WHICH THEY REPLACED OFF OF ANOTHER CR-V ON THE LOT. SINCE THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT MY CAR, I HAVE HAD THE PHANTOM CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON AND OFF ABOUT EVERY MONTH. I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO ANOTHER HONDA DEALERSHIP IN MARCH 2012, AND THEY FOUND THE FTP SENSOR WAS CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO GO ON, BUT COULD NOT IDENTIFY WHERE IN THE SENSOR WAS BAD. THEY CLEARED THE CODE, AND ALL WAS FINE FOR ABOUT ANOTHER MONTH. THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AGAIN A FEW WEEKS LATER, BUT WHEN I GOT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE LIGHT HAD GONE OFF AS I PULLED INTO SERVICE. APRIL 6, THE CHECK FUEL CAP LIGHT WAS FLASHING(WHICH SEEMS TO HAPPEN EVERYTIME THE LIGHT IS ABOUT TO GO ON) AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON APRIL 7. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN FOR THE 4TH TIME.THEY SAID I HAD YET ANOTHER BAD FTP SENSOR, AND REPLACED IT AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH A NEW PART IN STOCK. I REMEMBER, IN THE PAST, THE CAR HESITATED TO START OUT AFTER A STOP AT INTERSECTIONS. I CONTACTED THE LOCAL DEALER. THEY SAY THEY CANNOT DO MUCH BECAUSE THE PROBLEM HAS TO BE REPLICATED TO DIAGNOSE IT. I TOLD THEM, I OR ANY ONE COULD REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. ANYWAY, I TOLD THEM I AM BRINGING IN MY CAR TOMORROW. BUT I AM AFRAID IF THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENS ON THE BUSY STREET ON MY WAY TO THE DEALER. I WILL APPRECIATE TO LET ME KNOW IF ANY ONE HAD EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM.
