Steering was stiff and difficult to handle car on turns. Lots of extra effort required when deviating from center. Overcorrection could easily cause an accident. Vehicle was recently acquired by dealership from auction. It needs to be added to the recall list.

It feels difficult to steer at times, almost takes more effort. I am concerned it will continue becoming more difficult and result in an accident. Yes it’s available for inspection. Being unable to steer properly puts my safety, passengers safety, and the safety of my surroundings at risk. Unsure if it’s been reproduced at a service center. It has been inspected, not for this issue. There are absolutely no warning lamps or symptoms prior.

I can't control the car properly, because I need to turn the car too much, this is due to the pending market recall and the dealer doesn't fix the problem., they just give excuses, and it's been 5 months and fix the problem.

The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The driver's side mirror repeatedly shakes at speeds above 40 MPH and is very prolific at highway speeds (especially 70 MPH). It is extremely disorientating and makes it difficult when trying to get an accurate read of surroundings when changing lanes. I had the mirror glass replaced at a dealer, which only made the issue worse. Another dealer replaced the entire mirror assembly, which seemed to solve the problem temporarily. However, it resumed less than a month later and may even be getting worse.

The Driver's Side mirror glass vibrates excessively while operating the vehicle at highway speeds. This mirror glass vibration causes distorted images to be seen in the mirror and can disorient the driver while the vehicle is in motion.

As my car was warming up, I was standing near the driver door and hear a *tink* noise. When I got into the car, I saw that my driver side mirror had a single vertical crack straight down the middle. There was no point of impact and when I first approached my car not even 5 minutes prior, the mirror was perfectly intact. For all intents and purposes, the mirror has spontaneously cracked. The dealership I took it to has refused to replace the mirror under warranty although my car is less than two years old and only has 10000 miles. The crack distorts visibility considerably. This is a known issue with 23-24 CRVs with a lengthy thread on Reddit detailing similar experiences.

Drivers side door mirror vibrates while driving. Causes issues when looking at it when checking for traffic etc. This has been reported and verified by dealer. This is a known issue by Honda and has been reported by other Honda owners. Dealer told me that Hona is aware but mirrors are back ordered and no time table for repair. This is a safety item.

STRUCTURE

Hood wobbles crazy while driving highway speed as if it is going to open or come out. Seem the outer panel of hood has rust by the joints where it is joined to the inner panel of the hood. Almost all the joints seem to be not joined well together. This is a structural body issue, car is less than 3 years old. And Currently I have about 55K miles on it. Noticed the hood wobble when it had less than 30,000 miles but upon checking under the hood there were no visible signs of defect. But recently(51K mile roughly) after a car wash I opened the hood to see the inside of the car, that's when I noticed that the hood inner joints have rust and are not joint together properly with inner panel of the hood. Reached out to the dealership but they deny to fix this as it has been more than 36000 miles. At the dealership there was another person with 2025 Honda crv, I checked with the owner to let me see if his car had similar issue or not. Upon checking the hood his car's one of the joint was loose ( given that car is less than an year old so there was no rust.) Seems Honda is used some adhesive to stick the metal panels of the hood together which start to deteriorate over time. There are many crv owners who are having similar issue but the dealership resolves the issue for them given that they have less than 36000 miles on it. Honda does have "Rust Perforation Limited warranty" which is valid until 5 years, But for them to fix the car there has to be rust perforation aka hole in the panel inside out to fix it. Does this mean I have to wait for another 2 years and 5 months for the rust to progress and cause a hole in the panel inside out?? What if i start seeing the rust perforation right after 5 years. Honda will fix this for me or I have to pay out of my pocket to get it fixed. Also my car has never been in any kind of accident, it has the panel which came from the Honda Factory. Also it is not a flood vehicle either for it to start getting rust. Please see attached pics.

LEFT SIDE (DRIVERS SIDE) MIRROR VIBRATES AT HIGH SPEEDS. THIS CREATES A DISTORTION WITH THE INABILITY TO SAFELY JUDGE DISTANCES FROM OTHER CARS, ANY OBJECTS NEAR BY, MAKES ATTEMPTS AT LANE CHANGES UNSAFE.

The hood seems to wobble/shake during highway speeds. Very noticeable when wind speed is high. Seems to be a common problem with 2023 CRv Hybrids. There should be a recall to have hoods fixed since this is a major safety problem.

Driver side mirror cracked vertically. Honda says it is "weather related" because I told them it happened while I was driving in snow. It is not covered under warranty. This is a safety issue!

STEERING,LANE DEPARTURE

I been told by Honda dealership that the power steering rack is defective Part Number 53620-3A1-A13. The vehicle has been identified by Honda Dealership as a failed/defective power steering rack unit. This problem was able to be replicated and identified by dealership during my visit on [XXX) work order # [XXX]. I was informed that operating this vehicle is not an option and a major safety issue. Do to the safety concerns it was agreed by both parties ( dealership and myself ) that vehicle be retained by dealership and part ordered for replacement. Dealership was notified by Honda Corporate that part is back ordered with an expected shipped date of April 1 2024. As of this writing 5/16/24 the part has gone thru multiple date changes from 4/1 to a no date identified on dealership part department data base to now having a 9/1/24 expected ship dated. The question you ask about advanced warning. This is my wife’s vehicle that is operated in town at low speeds, it was not identified until I had an opportunity to drive this vehicle on interstate at highway speeds that I became aware of this uncontrollable and sporadic steering issue. Trying to correct the vehicles direction back to the center of lane was also having resistance from the steering wheel that required having to overcome the locking sensation at steering wheel with force. So advance warning determination, one can only speculate how long the safety of this vehicle has been compromised. I have multiple communication with Honda Corporate in California with mixing success. I have also done random calling of approximately 15 dealer parts department from Miami to Fort Collins Colorado to verify the lack of accessibility to this part and all have informed me that no clear delivery date is coming from Honda. I’m unclear what help you maybe to an individual car owner in finding a resolution to their problem? Identifying the problem is the first step, resolution appears to be a challenging road to travel. The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at high speed, the steering wheel began to stick. The contact stated that the Lane Departure warning light was illuminated on three separate occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the power steering rack needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the parts were on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000. The VIN was not available.

At about 14,000 miles, started experiencing issues with steering wheel. It is harder to keep a straight line. On gradual turns, steering “sticks” and doesn’t return to natural position, therefore, overcorrection is needed causing vehicle to jerk. If steering goes back to “normal”, due to initial overcorrection, staying in lane is hard potentially causing a wreck or turning vehicle upside down.

While driving noticed the steering began sticking and was not fluid. Force was needed to control and turn the car. In addition, started getting alerts for lane keep assist malfunctioning while it was turned off and not in use. Called the dealership and they indicated it would over a week before they had an appointment available. I have 2 cars so stopped driving the Honda. Last week I decided to drive and the steering had become worse with almost a full loss of control at times. Also noted the steering column had started shaking when driving the car in reverse. The car was dropped off Sunday 10Mar24 at my local Honda dealership and they have informed me the steering rack needs to be replaced and that I could come pick the car up until the part comes in. I informed the dealership I would not be picking the car up until the repair was made, as it is unsafe to drive.

The problem is intermittent. The lane keeping assistance seems to cause the steering to become "sticky" while freeway driving. It becomes difficult to turn the steering wheel small amounts, like its stuck, and applying extra force to steer causes over correction. I can't really pinpoint at what times it happens, but I notice it most when driving on freeways at freeway speed.

MY 2023 Honda CRV sport hybrid has an issue, I guess it’s transmission. When I go for long drives, after driving an hour or hour an half in highway, it seemed like, transmission stuck. Even though I escalated my gas pedal and car is on around 50mph, the car speed doesn’t go up even though rpm is hitting on 75 to 80. It’s dangerous to drive in highway where speed limit is 65 mph and my car is going 50 mph. I went to dealer but they can’t figure out the issue. I face same issue in multiple times.

the moon roof shattered as we were driving. luckily the inner sun shade was pulled. Crazy to have tempered glass above you. we could have not had that cover closed and glass could have rained down on us.

On [XXX], at approximately [XXX]. I was traveling down the [XXX] . It was a clear morning and the traffic was light. There were no warning signs or messages displayed prior to the glass shattering. It was startling as I was going 70-75 mph when this happened. While driving my 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport on the morning of [XXX], the sunroof glass exploded. After the dealerships inspection, I was informed that repairs were not covered by warranty or recall. As stated previously it was a clear morning, the traffic was light and there was nothing near me that could have dropped on my roof and shattered my sunroof. I have included pictures for your review. On 9/15/25 at 11:30am I spoke to Honda Corporation customer service. I was informed that at this time there is no open warrantee for this issue. She stated it had been reported to Honda. Subject: Vehicle Theft Due to Security Vulnerability – 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Vehicle Information: • Make: Honda • Model: CR-V Hybrid AWD • Year: 2023 Description of the Problem: I am reporting a serious security vulnerability in my 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which was stolen [XXX] from a residential parking lot in Bayside Queens, NY. The theft occurred despite the vehicle being locked and parked in my parking area. The theft method likely involved bypassing the CAN bus system, a known vulnerability in modern vehicles. Honda later issued a product improvement notice regarding enhanced anti-theft software, which I received(8/26/25) after the incident. This suggests that the manufacturer was aware of the security flaw but did not proactively notify owners or offer preventive upgrades before thefts occurred. Will Impact: • Financial loss due to theft and insurance deductibles • Emotional distress and ongoing safety concerns • Time-consuming police and insurance procedures • Lack of timely manufacturer support or warning • Police report (NYPD case number: [XXX]) I urge NHTSA to investigate the security vulnerabilities in Honda CR-V Hybrid models, particularly regarding CAN bus access and lack of proactive anti-theft measures. The millimeter wave radar has failed. While using adaptive cruise control the vehicle set off many alarms without prior warning. The vehicle suddenly showed that adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, road departure mitigation, frontal collision, low speed parking were no longer functioning and to see a dealer. I was not using frontal collision no road departure mitigation as these features had twice before unexpectedly applied heavy breaking without warning with no obstructions near vehicle. Fortunately no accident occurred but very unnerving to say the least. The dealer has confirmed that the millimeter wave radar has failed and will need replaced. Honda sensing is not very reliable and should be used with caution if used at all

On several occasions the automatic emergency braking system on my vehicle has engaged for no reason. The vehicle applies the brake quickly with nothing in front or to the side of the vehicle. This sudden braking has almost caused me to be rear ended and has also caused a slight case of whiplash. I’ve contacted my Honda dealer and while they say they’ve had complaints I am told there’s nothing in the works to remedy the issue. I was told to clean my vehicle front sensors (which were not dirty at the time of these instances) and that’s all I could do. This has happened multiple times throughout my ownership of this vehicle with the last incident occurring in late September of this year.

While driving my vehicle in snowy conditions, my vehicle slammed on the brakes and sensed a collision. The sensors were covered with snow, and typically, the sensors will turn off when they are obstructed. At the time I was going 30-35 MPH in 1-2 inches of snow and my vehicle detected a possible collision and auto-braked, bringing me to an immediate stop. Should there have been a vehicle immediately behind me, I would have been rear-ended and the vehicle behind me would not have had time to react due to the snow conditions. I cannot stress how dangerous this is while driving in adverse conditions with other vehicles around you to have your vehicle come to an immediate stop. This continued to happen 4 more times at while driving at lower speeds, during turns, driving in parking lots. Each time the system will state something related to forward collision avoidance and the giant "BRAKE" sign will flash in my dashboard. I no longer felt safe driving my vehicle in the snow due to this auto-braking system.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - The adaptive cruise control and emergency braking. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - The system is reading that other cars on my passenger side usually or coming on or off the exit ramps on the interstate as cars in front of me. In turn the system directs the car to slow down and then at some points break hard while driving at highway speeds. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - The technician at the Honda dealer told me just to turn it off as its better to have it off than on. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - There has not been an accident as of current that would warrant an inspection. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - The adaptive showing the car in front, showing the word BRAKE on the mini dash and then you can also feel the gradual to almost complete stop of the car when this occurs. The main place to see is the outline will fill up as if a car is in front, but one is not.

While driving in cruise control on two lane roads, vehicle will brake hard during curves and going up rolling hill sections even if there are no vehicles or obstructions ahead. This vehicle experienced an overheated camera system at 4500 miles and was in the shop for 3 months for repair. The above described condition occurred before complete camera failure made all safety features not function. So it could be a camera failure is beginning again, or there is an inherent defect in camera or software that powers the braking.

In February 2025 with around 56k miles, started noticing a vibration which I thought was a wheel balancing issue. After having the wheels balanced multiple times. I also replaced the tires twice but the vibration still persists. I started noticing the vibration became more consistent at low speeds 20-23 mph. At this time I am now out of engine warranty. It felt like a bad torque converter, which this vehicle doesn’t have. I brought the vehicle to three different dealerships and they all said the car has no issues. At no point did the car throw a check engine light or code. About five days after visiting the last dealership in October 2025 I was headed to work. Once the engine kicks in there was a loud rattling noise coming from the engine for about 5 seconds then it went away. Now every time the car sits, the first time the engine kicks in is rattles for a few seconds. At no point there were any check engine lights. I took the car back to the dealership and the determined that the injectors and head gasket failed. Not having a check engine light coming on for this issue could have caused an accident if the engine stalled on the highway. Honda would not assist in anyway.

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the reliability of my 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid, which I purchased with approximately 10,000 miles on it. The vehicle currently has around 85,000 miles and has already required major, unexpected repairs — most notably a head gasket failure, in addition to other mechanical issues earlier this year that totaled $2,000 out of pocket. The fact that a relatively new Honda with an excellent service history and primarily highway miles would require a head gasket replacement this early in its lifespan is extremely troubling and calls into question the long-term reliability of the CR-V Hybrid platform. While I appreciate that Honda agreed to cover the head gasket repair through a goodwill arrangement, this situation has caused me considerable stress, financial hardship, and a loss of confidence in the vehicle — and, frankly, in Honda’s reputation for durability. Further compounding this frustration, the vehicle has recently begun exhibiting renewed roughness and vibration at various speeds, despite recent service, and I remain worried that I’m going to be saddled with ongoing problems that I should never have had to deal with on a vehicle this new. As a loyal Honda customer, I expected better. I chose this vehicle specifically for its reputation, fuel efficiency, and dependability. What I’ve experienced instead feels like a breakdown of quality control and corporate accountability. I am now significantly upside down on a vehicle that I can no longer rely on with confidence — yet I cannot afford to walk away from it.

2023 CRV Purchased 04/20/2023 April 28, 2025, 51,109 miles. I was having misfires on start up but no warning lights. Then while driving down the highway the vehicle lost power and the dash lite up. I dropped it into S and put on my hazards. I was close to the dealership so I drove it directly there while on the phone with them. They said it was a bad spark plugs. Replaced the plug and reset the codes. Drove it for two more weeks. One morning upon start up every light on the dash was on and the sensor warnings were cycling. Called the dealership they said because the check engine light is solid and not blinking and I live close by to drive it in. Drove it in, dropped it off. Diagnosis: Blown Head gasket. Under warranty Might get it back within 4 days. 23hr 6,000.00 job.

1. Piston rod broke and made a hole in the engine. 2. I was driving and lost the ability to continue to drive on a busy street. 3. Yes. Honda Burien in Washington inspected and reported it to Honda of America. 4. There was a warning that I was overdue for 10K maintenance. I was overdue by a little over 200 miles. No other warning signals were given.

I was driving on Octuber 8th 2025. At 50 mph and the car made a sudden hard brake stop, and the brake orage light came on, the light that only turns on when it detect a car or something in front of the vehicle, the thing is nothing was in front of the vehicle, I am lucky that I didn't have cars behind me if not it would have cause a read end accident. This is very dangerous and I am super scared to drive the car now.

Car has, on more then one occasion, applied the emergency stopping breaks at times that may have caused an accident by themselves. Most often in heavier city traffic that can be unpredictable. Ie cars merging in quickly where they generally shouldn't

All my idiot lights appeared on my dashboard. My mechanic plugged in and nothing came up so I took it to White Plains Honda on Aug.5. They called me on Aug.14 and said my brake booster was bad. They said that they worked on trying to find the problem 12 hours. So with the diagnosis and part and labor, my cost is $5447+ tax. So I called Honda North America, got a case number. On Aug 26 Honda NA said that they can’t help me. My car is at Honda CRV Sport Hybrid 2023 with 47,440 miles on it. I’m over the 3 year or 36,000 miles and I do not have an extended warranty. Also on Aug 22, my service advisor said he could get the price down to $5,000. + tax. So I am lost on what to do

While driving the Automatic Emergency Braking System engaged for no reason. I was driving on [XXX] in NJ when another car passed me on the right . My car slammed the brakes on. The other car did not get in front of me but stayed in the right lane. If traffic was heavy this could have caused a major accident. Another instance I was driving on [XXX]. in Manahawkin, NJ and going around a bend in the road there was a parked car. My car slammed the brakes on. This has happened several other times also for no reason. Each time a warning sound went off. I brought the car in for service and reported it to Honda. They inspected it doing some type of scan and said there was no problem. The service advisor showed me how to turn the system off if I didn't feel safe. Yes my car is available for inspection and I am attaching the service report showing I did report it. I'm writing you because I read an article showing you are looking into this in other Honda cars and my car is not listed. While driving on a two lane road with no other vehicles and no objects on the road, the "Brake" warning light came on. Thankfully, the Collision Avoidance system didn't come on this time but if the warning had activated the Collision Avoidance in traffic, a rear end crash could have happened.

I am facing issue with Honda CRV Hybrid 2023 Remote Start when temp is below -10°C (when you see freezed car windows) but when i click on lock and unlock i see flash light in the car but when i click Lock + Hold did not see 6 time flash lights(no single flash except for lock) and no remote start. I took to the Honda Dealer they did debugging but not found the issue. there after i connected with honda they mentioned to take to some other Honda Dealer, other honda dealer mentioned when the issue not able to replicate infront of them then they cant take it. I dont know what to do? i requested to check battery and they mentioned it is healthy. any one facing same issue and any suggestions? Note : But at the same time other Honda CRVs 2022 models and cheaper than CRV cars in my parking lot are working.

The vehicle's 12V starting battery was completely discharged after sitting unused for 3 weeks. The vehicle was stored indoors during the month of August 2024. The vehicle was located in Minnesota. The 2024 August MN monthly average temperature was in the mid 70's F. The discharge happened again after the vehicle was jumped and run. See the attached dealer invoice for additional details. The vehicle was taken to the local Honda dealer. No problem found. The dealer stated this is normal vehicle behavior. The vehicle was purchased in May 2023 and has less than 14,000 miles. I believe this is a safety issue because I don't trust the vehicle to start after very short storage periods during the winter or as the battery reaches the end of its service life. The loss of battery reserve capacity is 50% at -20F and 20% at 0F. An industry accepted norm for the service life of a 12V battery is that it reserve capacity has decreased to 40% of new. I worry that the vehicle may not start after less than one week of storage under these conditions. Honda Corp. does not publish battery storage guidelines in the owners manual. Honda Corp. and the dealer were requested multiple times to produce documentation on battery storage guidelines. They were unable or unwilling to do so. The Honda dealer did not provide education on vehicle storage as part of the sales process. I do worry about being stranded in our harsh upper Midwest winters during potentially life threatening temperatures. I firmly believe this issue is a design defect with either the vehicle's power management strategy, the battery sizing, or a combination of both. I request your help to investigate this issue and have Honda provide a corrective action.

The dashboard (=all the gauges behind the wheel) turned off while I was traveling in highway. While I was looking a safe place to park, in about 10-15 seconds, dash come back on again and started showing all possible warnings. After parking on the shoulder, the car put itself in so called limp mode. The dealership took a look at it and stated that the components had been disconnected with the dashboard and they have to reset the ECU. They don't know what caused this issue yet claim it's ok to drive.This could have ended up with a serious accident

2/24/2024 I was in a library parking lot, going parking lot speed where children might be encountered. I turned right into a perpendicular parking space, no cars on either side. I went to brake as I approached the parking lot bumper and the car unexpectedly accelerated and would not stop. I crashed into a tree and metal pole, which stopped the car. I don't believe the car would have stopped without the tree and pole. I put the car in reverse and with difficulty backed back into the parking space. The right fender is severly damaged, right tire flat and I was unable to move the tires back to a straight position. The car cannot be driven. Yesterday, 2/23, I was at the dealers for oil change and tire rotation and was told there was a recall on the vehicle which required a softwear update. Reading my maintenance report it seems that this was an emissions recall, service bulletin 23-038 and the PGM-FI software was updated. This is a leased car which I got 3/31/23. No other cars or people or property were damaged or harmed. If this had happened near people and cars I fear that someone could have been killed or severe property damage would have occurred.

On December 10th 2023 I was involved in an accident that I believe was caused by a defect in the vehicle. I was traveling at night with low visibility due to rain on an old country road with no street lights. I was rear ended while making a right turn and at the time did not think much about it as far as how it happened. I just assumed the driver that hit me was just not paying attention. While on side of the road I heard the driver tell his dad that it was not his fault that I just slammed on brakes in front of him. I was like whatever, you were just not paying attention. A few days later I got to thinking about it, I was using B mode in the transmission along with the paddle shifters to increase the regenerative braking capabilities. The regenerative braking is strong enough to slow the car down almost to a complete stop. While in this mode I only have to apply the brake pedal when I am very close to a turn. So to any driver behind me it would appear that I slammed on brakes right at my turn, even though they were applied the whole time I was slowing down using the regenerative braking of the car. The car is still drivable at least for a road test so I had someone follow me around to see if there were brake lights displayed during regenerative braking. After one short drive I found out the 2023 CRV Hybrid DOES NOT display brake lights during any use of regenerative braking. I tried B mode in the transmission, Sport mode, and the paddle shifters. At no point did the brake lights come on. To see if this was just an issue with my car I went to the local dealership on December 28th and test drove a 2024 CRV Hybrid and it also DID NOT display any brake lights. To see if it was a Honda issue in general or a model issue I test drove a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid and IT DOES display brake lights in all forms of regenerative braking. This is an issue with 2023-2024 CRV Hybrid SUVs. I have filed a complaint with Honda as well.

I purchased 2023 Honda CRV AWD LX [XXX]. I took the vehicle to Honda World 1 Auto Center Drive, Louisville, Ky 40299. Advisor is Kathy Schnapp. She informed me there were metal shavings in the rear differential. Replacing the fluid is not covered under warranty. The issue is not that it is not covered but Ms Schnapp stated most Honda CRVs with All Wheel Drive experience metal shavings in the rear differential. I am wondering if the NHTSA has been notified of this and why there has not been more warning of this problem and recalls issued to repair them. Regularly receive loud alarms and errors when putting the vehicle in reverse that the Lane Departure Warning system has failed and to see dealership. Error will last for around 10-20 seconds and then disappear. One dealership tried to apply a TSB directly associated with this issue which failed to fix anything. Dealerships have no idea what is causing the issue and are unable to fix the issue. The contacts wife took the vehicle to the dealership on 4/19 and left the vehicle for a week. I am seeing an unwanted warning, when I unpark my car, and there is no resolution at the Honda dealer and Honda company itself. warnings which abruptly came when my new Honda CRV got unparked . The windshield wipers do not remove water and always leave a film. This film will not go away with defrost, extra cleaning, washer fluid. I replaced the blades and still the reflective film remains. It is extremely hazardous to drive because all light reflects off the film and horribly impairs vision. Honda refuses responsibility. Also, the washer fluid does not clean windows either. Dust also becomes highly reflective with light and horribly impairs vision. Someone needs to fix this asap or there will be multiple accidents. I am not the only one with this dangerous problem.

The beam is shadowy with dark zones, making it difficult to see pedestrians, signs, and road hazards, especially in rainy conditions. Even after checking alignment, the visibility remains unsafe. Other drivers often flash their high beams at me, mistaking my lights for being too dim or misaligned. This design presents a significant nighttime driving hazard.

This vehicle has the new "signature" Honda headlights. The low beam has two illuminated lights which oncoming drivers mistake as high beams. They flash their high beams at me to inform me that I am driving with high beams turned on when I am not temporarily blinding me and creating an unsafe situation. I live in a rural area with mostly single carriageway roads and this happens almost every time I drive at night.

Safety Risk The heightened friction between the worm gear and worm wheel results in increased steering effort and difficulty, significantly elevating the risk of a crash or injury. (2) Recall Summary American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is urgently recalling certain 2023-2025 multi-model year Honda vehicles due to critical defects in the high-pressure fuel pump. The improper production has led to the formation of cracks at the solenoid core component, which can result in a dangerous fuel leak during operation, especially in lower mileage vehicles. Safety Risk The presence of a fuel leak poses an extreme risk, as it can ignite in the presence of an ignition source. This scenario significantly heightens the risk of fire, crash, or serious injury, demanding immediate attention and action. Traveling interstate at 80 mph 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid with 15,500 miles had a critical power failure, and warning lights to stop vehicle as soon as safe. We had the car towed and went to Honda dealer in (Community Honda) in Lafayette, LA (traveling). They state a fuel injector failed I have seen multiple social media posts of a similar experience, but have not seen a recall listed. I wanted to bring this to your attention. In Louisiana, there are a lot of bridges to navigate and this could have been a very dangerous situation of it would have happened on a bridge. Luckily, it happened on the interstate.

In the past few weeks, the vehicle accelerated (engine revved) when releasing the gas pedal. This has happened 4 times. The first 3 times was when driving the vehicle on the road. I have taken the vehicle in twice to the dealership and they were not able to reproduce or diagnose the problem. The 4th incident occurred as the vehicle was pulling into a parking space. when the gas pedal was released, the vehicle engine revved and lurched forward. Slamming on the brakes ,hard, averted a collision with a car in the space in front of the space we were trying to park in. It is only a matter of time before this condition causes an accident.

I experienced a fuel theft while parked in a hospital parking lot. This vehicle has a fuel filler lid that opens from outside and can be opened by anyone. I came back to the vehicle to find the fuel filler lid open and the gas tank at a lower level than when I parked. I checked and there was no leakage. Fuel filler lids should open from inside vehicles or have a lock on them.

In early August 2025, driving on the highway with my car behaving entirely normally, my entire dashboard lit up-- all error lights, check engine, transmission, emissions, blind spot- everything. After reading on the internet a bit i read that there could have been a 12v battery power surge, and to disconnect and reconnect the battery. All lights cleared, car behaved normally. During the last week of August, my car began revving unreasonably high on a long drive (at the 300 mile point) and it seemed as though gears were slipping- I was hitting the gas to accelerate and the car was not accelerating equally. This is a huge safety concern- particularly when going uphill on a highway and the car can just barely make it up the hill (i'm basically flooring the gas) and also a safety concern when switching lanes- the power is not there. I went to the dealer immediately after this. The dealer ran error codes and found none (as no lights returned). The dealer checked my spark plugs and said they were worn and replaced them (which is unreasonable at 21,000 miles). The problem was not resolved. I have since gone to two additional Honda dealers and both told me there is nothing wrong with the car- because no error codes appeared. I believe these problems are related to the eCVT as others have reported, and believe that the recall needs to be expanded.

I got to know that I have two recalls open since October 2024. I called Honda campaign to follow up on the recalls as and I opened a case with them on [XXX]. The case number is [XXX]. I was referred to the dealer and when I contacted the dealer who sold my car, he said that he is repairing cars based on a waitlist and that parts are not available with them for both recalls. This car with its current condition is not safe as it is since I have 3 kids who frequently ride the car and one of then is a one year old baby and I saw similar cars went in serious fire due to those recalls. First incident. 9/20/2025: car went forward when gear shift was in reverse. I had pulled my car into space on a slight incline in a parking garage. The space inclined downward toward a wall. I needed to back my car back a few inches away from the wall. I put my car into Reverse and applied light pressure on the accelerator. The car moved forward. I applied the brake, visually inspected the shift lever to make sure it was in reverse, and applied light acceleration again. Again the car moved forward. I put the car in Park, turned it off, restarted it, and put it into Reverse again, at which point it worked. Second incident, 9/24/2025: car lurched forward when I removed my foot from the accelerator. In a different parking garage, on level ground, I was driving under 7 MPH when I needed to slow down as another car approached from the side. I lifted my foot off the accelerator to slow (but had not applied the brake) and the car lurched forward. I braked, took my foot off the brake, and the car worked normally. These incidents put my car at risk of collision with a wall and another car coming toward me, respectively. The system is available for inspection on request. It has not yet been inspected by anyone, but is scheduled to go to the dealer for inspection. I did not see any messages or warning lamps.

I own a 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid and have experienced multiple instances of sudden unintended acceleration. The issue occurs intermittently, typically at low speeds (25–30 mph) during stop-and-go traffic, or when the vehicle transitions from EV to gas mode. During these incidents, the vehicle unexpectedly surges forward for 1–2 seconds, even while the brake pedal is applied. The suspected issue involves the electronic throttle control system or a malfunction during the hybrid system's EV-to-gas transition. There are no warning lights or error codes, and the issue occurs sporadically. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This behavior puts both my safety and that of others at risk, especially in heavy traffic or near pedestrians. The unexpected acceleration while braking can lead to rear-end collisions, property damage, or injury, as the vehicle moves unpredictably. Yes. A Honda service technician experienced the issue firsthand while driving my vehicle. He then tested a 2025 CR-V Hybrid and reported similar behavior, suggesting it might be “normal.” However, I strongly disagree, as the acceleration feels unsafe and abnormal. The vehicle has been inspected by the Honda dealership. A formal diagnosis was performed, but they did not find anything unusual. The service center stated they will not proceed further unless I can replicate the issue, which I cannot due to its intermittent nature. The vehicle has not been inspected by police, insurance, or independent mechanics yet. Within two hours of picking new CRV up, Auto Stop Idle Problem - see your Dealer" message popped up. Two weeks later, 12 error messages popped up on dash. Took vehicle in 5 times for repairs after error messages popped up after each repair. Front grill, battery sensor, battery and entire harness were replaced. I don't feel confident I can trust the safety of this vehicle. In addition, this vehicle does not have blind spot warning.

Manufacturer refuses to fix open recalls via its dealer network. I have been calling my local Honda dealer, Wolfchase Honda in Bartlett, TN (ZIP: 38133) for almost two months asking them to fix my vehicle. They tell me they do not have the parts for either the steering gearbox recall (NHTSA recall number: 24V-744) or the fuel pump recall (NHTSA recall number: 24V-763) and to call back. When I call back they tell me then tell me they have given all the parts to other customers, despite having promised me a call back and my having called repeatedly to schedule service over the past two months. I recently spoke with American Honda and they confirmed that limited part availability is NOT mentioned in their recall bulletins, i.e., that part availability should not be an issue. The potentially faulty steering and propulsion system endanger myself and my two year old son every day as I take him to day care and the systems are at risk of failing and causing a crash. American Honda appears interested in resolving the recall, but Wolfchase Honda, their local dealer in Bartlett, TN, refuses to provide required recall service.

I went into the Honda of Seattle dealership to repair the #QJT 2023-25 CR-V EPS Grbx Greasing Saf Rec (NHTSA#24V-744) and the #PJW 2023-25 Multi-Model High-Pressure Fuel Pump Stop Sale (NHTSA#PENDING) issues. The service desk informed me that no work could be performed until the parts are delivered to the dealership. I purchased the vehicle from this same dealership. My car sputtered and lost speed for several seconds during a drive in Summer 2023. I had to let go of the gas before the car returned to normal operation. I did not know it at the time but it was most likely caused by the fuel pump defect. I thought it was related to one of the other 2 recalls for the vehicle around the same time. There were many cars driving near me. We were going around a curvy and windy road. I must move from Seattle to Oklahoma City immediately. However, I can't now since it is unsafe to drive my vehicle with a fuel pump and steering defect. I'm unable to extend my accommodations in Washington and so may be forced to drive a long distance in an unsafe vehicle.

Drove car for about 10 minutes, parked car while the engine was still running (approx 5 minutes) then began driving on 25 mph roadway with light traffic (4 lane road). After driving for a couple of minutes, I could no longer accelerate to maintain the speed, all the warning lights came on the instrument panel (see attached pictures for some of the alert messages), and a message came on the dash that said something along the lines that get off the roadway immediately but safely. Upon finding a parking lot about 0.5 mile away, it was very difficult to slow down as brake pedal felt hard- I had to slam on the brakes for it to begin coasting to a stop. Once parked, I turned off the car. When turning on the car again, all the warning lights came on and warning messages started to cycle through on the dash. My safety and the safety of others were greatly affected as I could not stop the vehicle adequately. When towed to the Honda dealership, the dealership was unable to reproduce the symptoms. The Honda Dealership said they would not diagnose the vehicle since it was modified by a QAP mobility equipment dealer. When towed to the mobility dealer, who installed adaptive equipment, they too were unable to reproduce the symptoms. The vehicle was inspected but no issues found with adaptive equipment. See attached invoices and photos of the warning lights.

My car's emergency brake failed to work and my car's rear slid downhill into a 90 degree angle. The front passenger bumper of my car hit the front driver bumper of the car parked behind me. This happened while I was parallel parking in front of my home, which is on right side of a street with an uphill incline. I turned my car's front wheels away from the curb, which is why my car's rear spun into a 90 degree angle. There is a small driveway between my car and the car behind me, which is why my car had the space to spin and slide into 90 degree angle in the middle of the street. I could have sworn my car was shifted to park, but it's possible that I was shifted to reverse or neutral. I almost 100% sure that I initiated my emergency parking break and that it failed to turn on. I had started to exit the driver side door and my legs were outside of the car already when I noticed the car to slide backwards. I panicked and I tried to get back into the car, but I couldn't. My legs were dragged across the street. I have some minor injuries such as bumps, cuts and bruises. My car stopped from sliding when it hit the car behind me. I could have been seriously injured. There should have been some "fail safe" to prevent me from exiting the car when it's possible it could start to move. I'm considering selling my car because of this issue.

While driving (no other vehicles present) it will display warning on dash. It will slam on brakes and swerve outside of lane. This causes the vehicle go off road or in another lane. The warnings will then disappear. It also advises to see dealership. It has been to the dealerships within first two weeks of purchase. They have not been able fix issues.

On highway this Honda CR-V was hit by another vehicle 2013 doge at right rear side. Other car was sliding on the road , crossing the lanes and hitting the CR-V. Side airbags were deployed immediately during primary collision. CR-V didn’t stop after that. It turned left from right most lane and hit the median heavily. Lane keeping assistance, frontal collision system, automatic emergency braking did not work properly. It hit the median and all front airbags were deployed. Honda should improve the safety features when it was hit by other car in rear, Honda CR-V should not twist and turn left & make secondary collision.

I went to Honda to get my car serviced & I told them i was experiencing my steering wheel sticking every time I drive & make turns or change lanes. Sometimes the car will notify me to brake but there is nothing Infront of me & the vehicle. The dealership told me that they had never heard of such thing that the steering wheel sticking. They informed me that there was a back order on this car part & unable to tell me when they would receive it. In the meantime, I have to drive with a defective car & hoping nothing happens to me while Im driving. They didnt even have any sympathy or say sorry. It's disappointing that honda doesnt offer a loaner that would be the least they can do. I've waited over a month to get the car fixed. I had been so scared driving my car to & from work always getting stuck. I finally got a call that they received the steering wheel part and that i need to come in right away. It took more than a month to get it fixed. This should not have been happening and I was so surprised they knew about this issue before leasing this car to me, putting me & my family in danger.

When driving at 70-75 mph with adaptive cruise set, the steering wheel feels like it locks and won’t turn But when you add force, it breaks loose. This is not lane keeping assist, it is something different. It is getting worse but the Honda Dealership says they can’t replicate it. It appears to be getting worse over time and I’m afraid it could cause an accident by completely locking up the steering wheel.

Steering wheel is sticking and not operating smoothly. Feels like steering wheel has notches in it. Very difficult to steer. Feels unsafe to drive. Have taken to service department at dealership several times. We are told the part is on critical back order. We started having the problem in November. Part was ordered in February. Part number 536203D4A24. Have now also filed a complaint with Honda. The problem is getting worse and I don’t feel like it is safe to drive at this point.

Sticky steering making it difficult to keep the car going straight as the steering adjustments can't be gradual. This occurs in straight lines, gradual turns and around tight corners. Issue starts around 30 mph and gradually gets worse as speed increases. As of now, this is resulting in the dealer replacing the rack and pinion assembly.

This vehicle has the sticky/jerky steering problem. It started around 5500 miles. It is an intermittent problem that is very noticeable when it is cool outside. This is the same problem that the NHTSA has been investigating (investigation EA23003)

When driving, especially on the interstate/high speeds, my steering wheel feels to be locked into place. I am unable to easily turn left or right to stay in my lane without a jerk/sticky feeling in the wheel. It feels like I have cranked the wheel as far as it will go, but the wheel is centered. The steering wheel will also occasionally randomly jerk small amounts either left or right. It makes interstate driving feel very unsafe and like I do not have full control. I had my alignment fixed a few months ago, but I have not taken it back to the dealership for this issue. No warning lights/messages.

The Object Approaching Warning alarm came on at two times when stopped at an intersection stop light. The first time was when an oncoming vehicle was approaching in the center of the intersection. The second time this occurred was when my vehicle was stopped for a stoplight with all surrounding cars stopped and not moving. If the collision mitigation system was working and the system activated when driving, it is my understanding that the vehicle should emergency brake causing a possible collision by a following vehicle. Took the vehicle to a dealer who stated that that they could not duplicate the problem and that they would no longer work on the vehicle for ANY repeat issues that they were not able to duplicate or confirm in the past creating further safety issues for myself and other drivers.

System does not alert until a vehicle is directly behind our vehicle or does not alert at all. Vehicle was purchased 3 days ago. The front assist does not work or will work after you pull too far forward and already tapped the curb. We stood in front of and side of vehicle and alarm did not sound at all.

When driving the car will false brake or alert to brake when nothing is directly in front of the car. Many instances the car will catch a car in the lane beside it and brake because it thinks the car is in front of it and will begin alerts and braking the car while driving on the interstate. Internal electronics like the infotainment will stop working and no longer play music, pull information from device when trying to connect via Bluetooth or USB. Had many occurrences where the port will respond with BAD USB and not connect. Only fix to get it working in the meantime has been factory resets. Have had to perform over 30 in the year of ownership.

All warning lights on the auto’s dash will spontaneously light up and start alarming while I’m driving. This has been happening since I bought the car, I have brought it into the dealer and written the dealer multiple times about this. It seems to be worse in the summer when the air conditioning is running and has also happened occasionally in the winter with the heat running but much less frequently. The Honda service center is not able to identify the problem. It is very distracting and dangerous when this happens on the highway.

We were in a parking lot. When my husband (driver) put the car into reverse, it accelerated wildly, and the brakes would not work. We almost struck a pedestrian. We were able to put the car into park to stop it. We waited, checked to see if something was stuck under the pedal. Then my husband put the car into drive. It accelerated wildly again. Brakes did not work. We nearly struck a car. We waited. Finally, we thought the car was ok, and we attempted to leave the parking lot to head home. The car did it again. We called AAA and had the car towed to the nearest Honda dealership. It has been there for more than a week, and the service department is telling me that there is nothing wrong with the car. The American Honda rep told us the same thing.

I was pulling up to the Subway sandwich shop to pick up my lunch. I was approaching from their back ally (coming from Walgreens next door) so I could not have been going faster than a few miles per hour. As I approached the parking space the car started speeding up so I turned right to keep from going through the building and drove in circles to keep from hitting the buildings. I could not go onto the street because traffic was heavy. I kept pumping the brakes and the car did not stop until I hit a parked car and pushed that car into another car. All airbags deployed. My 16 year old grandson and I were injured, but no individuals were in the parked cars.

My car has been making noises and no checks engine light for about 4 weeks now. It has started on October 19, 2025 and tomorrow will make 1 month. The noise starts when I press the brakes and when I drive. When merging on highways the car would delay start when I press the gas and then it’ll jump or stutter twice before moving which is dangerous because I’m merging on to highways. I’ve been to several shops and they’ve all told me it’s the transmission and I will need a complete new one. I continued driving my car because I have no way getting to and from work and today November 15, 2025, it broke down while on the highway with my daughter and husband in the car. I had to wait for my car to decide to start moving while others behind me swerved into the other lane because of the sudden stop all while hoping no one would crash into us. It turned on and we were able to move off to the side slowly and again it shut off. The check engine light finally came on and when the tow truck came the guy inspected the vehicle and said what everyone else said there is a transmission problem and it popped up and said something about the transmission and the brake system. As far as the brakes the mechanics said the brake hardware is rubbing against the rotor on the front left side and I can’t brake hard while driving or it’ll make a loud noise or a hard sudden stop. I have to press lightly and way ahead of time so that I don’t run into any issues. When searching online I saw that 2023 Honda Crvs do have transmission problems and it’s happened to several others. The sudden stops, noises, and complete replacement of their transmission. Plenty of others had it covered by warranty but what about the others that don’t have warranty. I have not replaced my transmission as of yet because the mechanics I usually go to is closed on weekends so I will be waiting until Monday. This is dangerous and crazy and Honda needs to do a major recall before someone actually gets hurt.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to report a serious safety concern with my 2023 Honda CR-V All-Wheel Drive, regular gasoline version. On three separate occasions while driving at high speed on the highway, my vehicle suddenly lost power and the engine stalled without warning. When this occurred, the starter would not engage, the vehicle had no electrical power, and multiple warning messages appeared on the dashboard, including Emission System Problem and All-Wheel Drive System Problem. This type of sudden stall while driving at highway speed creates an extremely dangerous situation and puts both the driver and other motorists at serious risk. I am aware that Honda has issued fuel pump recalls for the 2023 CR-V Hybrid models. However, my vehicle is the regular gasoline version, and based on my experience, I strongly believe that a similar fuel pump defect exists in these models as well. I respectfully request that this issue be investigated as a potential safety defect, and that Honda initiates a recall for the regular gasoline CR-V models to address this problem.

The contact owned a 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 50 MPH, the vehicle in front slowed down, the brake pedal was depressed but traveled down to the floorboard, but the vehicle failed to respond and rear-ended the vehicle in front. The contact stated that the vehicle bounced and spun around, facing incoming traffic. The contact was unsure whether there was a warning light illuminated. The contact was unsure if any other vehicle had crashed into his vehicle. The driver-side air bag did not deploy; only the driver-side curtain air bag and the passenger-side air bags deployed. The contact was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The doctor diagnosed that the patient had sustained injury to the lower back; the L4 was severely damaged. The contact's chest and head hit the steering wheel. The contact underwent surgery and was scheduled for physical therapy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an unknown towing yard. The insurance company was notified and deemed the vehicle a total loss. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I applied my brake pedal to slow for traffic just before entering a roundabout. I came nearly to a full stop, but then with my foot still on the brake pedal, the car surged forward as if I had floored the gas pedal. I kept pressing very hard on the brake pedal, but the car kept speeding forward. I was able to steer in between 2 oncoming cars without hitting them. My left front tire then hit the curb and the car bounced off a metal traffic sign post. I then went down a steep dirt embankment and crashed into a swale with some large rocks. My car finally came to a stop, rim deep in soft dirt just off the shoulder of the road. I did not notice any warning lights come on. I don't know what system malfunctioned, but it had something to do with fuel delivery and possibly the cruise control and automatic braking functions. I was very lucky I was not injured. This malfunction could have caused a serious and possibly a fatal crash. This malfunction put me and nearby motorists at risk of being hit by an out of control vehicle. I checked the floor mat and it was not displaced. There were no loose objects that could have affected the gas or brake pedals. The police officer accused me of stepping on the gas instead of the brake, but that was definitely not the case, regardless of what he may write in his report. The car is currently at a local collision repair shop. They will be checking with the code reader to see if any codes come up involving the fuel and braking systems. My insurance adjuster has inspected the car through photos taken by the repair shop. The shop is currently taking the car apart to assess further damage underneath. I am expecting a progress report tomorrow or Tuesday, March 25. This malfunction exactly fits the description of "Sudden Unexpected Acceleration". I have found 62 similar cases after a cursory internet search, so this is nothing new.

I was in the collision accident on the service road when my new Honda CR-V 2023 started skidding to the left while I was making the smooth turn to the right, the vehicle was pulling to the left side of the road, hitting the metal guardrail on the driver side. Looked like I lost traction and skid from left then to the right , unable to control and maneuver the steering wheel. The vehicle was in steering recall but I was not aware of that, did not receive any notice of the recall. If this accident had never happened I probably would continue driving the unsafe vehicle and be more in a severe crash. The vehicle' steering column did not work and the vehicle was not drivable after the accident, and was towed to the car repair shop. I immediately notified the State Farm insurance about the collision but nobody told me I had to call the police.

The contact stated that while his wife was driving at approximately 25 MPH, the steering wheel abruptly became difficult to steer in either the left or right direction. The vehicle crashed into a tree where it came to a stop. The brake system failure warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the airbags failed to deploy. The vehicle was not deemed a total loss. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home address. The contact's wife sought medical attention for chest, back, and neck pain. A police report was not filed. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

At 9K miles excessive noise, sounds like a helicopter. Dealership confirmed all four tires were scalped, did an alignment and thought it might correct the problem. It has not, both the dealer and Corporate Honda refused to correct. Adaptive Cruise Control malfunction, major safety hazard. When engaged the car unexpectedly stops at all speeds on highway or rural roads, with no cars in sight in front of the vehicle. Have experienced multiple incidents or near rear end collisions because of abrupt braking. When brought to dealer they claimed they couldn't find any error codes, thought that maybe dirt was on the two radar sensing units... not the case, still continues to be an issue. Car turns off unexpectedly... on an on ramp to a highway, traffic was stopped. When traffic started moving the car turned off completely... warning light stated see dealer. Put the car in park and restarted vehicle, brought to dealer who claimed no error codes. All the above happened at the 9K miles, none of the major safety hazard issues were confirmed by the dealer or Corporate Honda. Am at a loss as to next steps. Please advise, thanks.

At startup, routinely see the following messages: Lane keeping assist problem Road departure mitigation system problem Collision mitigation breaking system problem I have taken the car into multiple Honda dealers this year to fix the issue. The first told me I needed to have the Body Control Module replaced, and that the can could try and communicate with the key fob constantly, risking battery drain and posing a safety issue. The part was replaced, but the issue persisted. I then opened a case with Honda corporate, Case #: 14639406. This dealer said there was a "short" in the multipurpose camera and replaced that part. 2 months later, the issues came back.

I purchased this car in February 2023. The issue presented itself within 2-3 months of owning the vehicle. When backing up in the morning, the lane assist malfunction indicator comes on. If the car sits for long periods and then backs up- the indicator will come on. I have taken the car to the dealership multiple times and they do not have a fix. I called American Honda and they say the dealership is responsible for fixing and there is nothing they can do. I have recently noticed that the cross traffic sensor does not always catch and alert as well. The mechanic did say this is a common issue with crv based on their message board chat (which he showed me in August 2023) and waiting on Honda to find a fix.

I brought the car to the dealer shortly after its purchase to say I was getting error lights on the dash. They said they reprogrammed it. They also left all safety reminders in the off position. I continued to get a variety of error messages on the dash. The car was difficult to steer and needed constant correction. I was initially told it needed a drive rack. Upon follow up on parts I was told it was a power steering rack. Parts have been on order since Jan 2024 with an eta of April. Upon follow up they did not have an eta on the parts. I contacted Honda and filed a complaint. They have given me an eta of September. This is a new vehicle and I was told to be careful driving! This is a serious concern!

It's happened 3 times now. Car "phantom breaks" at highway speeds. Clear and open road. Then every single warning light the car has comes on. When you lose power, you can accelerate. Last time it happened I was nearly rear ended by 2 cars. Honda cannot figure it out. They keep putting bandaids on this issue but the reality is they can't duplicate and more of the same issues are popping up online from 6th generation owners. The CRV has a major issue. It's only a matter of time before there is another recall. I want to start the lemon process as Honda has had my car for more than a month and on 3 different occasions and cannot give me an answer. My cars steering wheels starts to “stick” the further I drive. I notice when I’m driving on the interstate if my car starts to veer the steering wheel doesn’t easily turn. I have to yank the wheel in order to veer the car back on the road. I notice it started happening around November 2023 and it occurs most frequently the farther I drive.

My vehicle component or system that I believed malfunctioned was the steering wheel. My vehicle steering wheel feels at times like it got lock while driving on the highway and off the highway. My vehicle is available for inspection at any time upon request. Due to this problem with my vehicle I panic for a couple of seconds, took my eyes off the road, without keeping a safe distance with other drivers. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. I have taken my vehicle for regular services and have reported this problem to my dealer. But nothing has been found wrong with my vehicle as of today. My vehicle has not been inspected by the police, insurance representative or others since my dealership has not found anything wrong with it. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the problems. I have taken my vehicle for other concerts as well that have been corrected but this with my steering wheel.

Powertrain: unresponsive due to loose wiring. 3. Immobilizer system: it was engaged after receiving emission system failure.

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the "Some Driver Assist Systems Cannot Operate" and "Road Departure Mitigation System Problems" system messages were displayed. The traction control warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 600.

The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal to make a lane change, the vehicle revved up and hesitated before gaining forward momentum. The contact stated he heard an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that it sounded as if the electric hybrid propulsion system had shut off. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure to accelerate was intermittent and occurred when he was on the highway and was depressing the accelerator pedal to gain speed. Additionally, the contact stated that he observed that the vehicle would start independently and that the power door locks would fail to operate as needed. The contact stated that on several occasions after turning off the vehicle and entering the residence the contact heard the vehicle emitting a remote start beep. The contact stated that he approached the vehicle and the vehicle had independently started. The contact also became aware that the battery was drained intermittently, and the vehicle needed to be jumpstarted. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact had not retrieved the vehicle from the dealer. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

The actual component or system is UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety issue is that the vehicle will drift into another lane even though both green lane indicators are illuminated posing a risk to myself and other drivers. The dealer mechanics stated that they could not verify or reproduce the problem. I reported the issue to Honda USA but they stated that they had no technical staff available that could provide information on the subject and that I would have to go back to the dealer. The dealer mechanics were unable to detect or resolve any problems with either system despite multiple attempts. Both the LKA and LDW error lights with instructions to "see dealer" had come on multiple times before the safety incidents. On a possibly related note, the Back Up Guidance System does not work on occasion and when that happens, the navigation system is very slow to come on. The navigation system comes on eventually after about 2 blocks of driving. I asked the dealership if they could check the software or perhaps any RAM memory that may exist as the problem seems to be related to a slow system response which would explain why the system checks out OK when analyzed by the dealer mechanics because the systems may seem to be working properly when the vehicle is parked but not working within their design parameters. They stated that there was no way to check the software or memory. The problem has occurred several times to date but I am only able to list one date on the form so I used 11/17/2023.

I was braking pulling forward into a parking place, going approximately 10 mph. The brakes did not work , the car accelerated jumped a curb ran over a parking sign and did not stop. I attempted to turn to the left on the island so as not to go into the busy street. I scraped/ran into a small tree while trying to put the car in park. I heard a large bang, 3 airbags deployed. I do not know if I ran over something, nothing was in my sight or view. Due to all of the smoke I quickly turned off the car and tried to get out. My left underside forearm had a 5”x3 1/2” bruise with swelling at the largest area and pain. The swelling is approximately 2 1/2” x2 1/2”. The mid to right side of my chest was injured extending to my right side with pain and bruising on and under my right breast. I went by ambulance to an ER. I am alarmed and traumatized. I have been experiencing lightheadedness since the accident. I have had headaches. The car took off as I was attempting to stop. I had NO control of the vehicle and could not bring it to a stop. There were no warning messages etc. If people were near or in front of me it would have been catastrophic, I had no control. There is a police report. My car is to be examined by the insurance company. My understanding is that it will be considered “totaled “. I reported the accident to Honda who I lease from. I was told that it could be “a software problem “. When the car malfunctioned I had just left my home , driving for the first time that day. My first stop was driving a couple of blocks to vote. I do not know how to upload pictures or the accident report. I have pictures of the car from the tow lot. After returning from the hospital I took pictures of the site to include the downed sign, damaged tree and broken car pieces in the driveway. I retrieved 2 large pieces of the car from the driveway.

Hood shakes like crazy at sppeds over 60 MPH, brought to dealer and they said it was "Normal" and there is nothing they can do. it is shaking badly and I worry it will pop up and cause an accident. Not pleased with this at all. Second thing is it has developed a loud wind noise on passengers side "a" pillar near the windshield it seems. Going in to the dealer for them to look at that next week, as was not present when new, and we have now about 12,000 miles on it and it is about 10 months old. Other issue is the drivers side mirror shakes and vibrates lots at highway speeds making it difficult to use day or night, it is terrible. So far, not a happy customer. Lastly, the horn is really not loud enough, and also complained to dealer about that and they said "they are all like that" nothing they can do..

The reverse camera works poorly and is not clearly especially if it’s wet outside. Water smears on the camera more easily than other cars I have owned even if it’s not actively raining. My 2013 g37 and 2017 Mercedes glc300 never had visibility issues for the camera and the Infiniti is 11 years older. Honda states it’s normal. I think it’s a bad design that allows camera lens to hold water on it. It’s a potential danger when reversing during rain or if car is wet.

This is the second occurrence of a similar problem. First problem occurred on Sept 14, 2023 and service slip is attached. While driving the car lost power but I was able to regain power but I got adaptive cruise control system problem, collision mitigation braking system problem, smart entry system problem -see dealer warnings. Pulled into a parking lot but when I shut car off got accessory mode on screen. Navigation system remained active and could not restart car or lock car doors. Called service and they jump started the car and I drove car to dealer. Dealer said car had water in fuse box. I did not drive thru any water and car was not in any flood area. I asked if this could be a problem with the electric transmission as I had seen info on the internet about this. No one seems to know the new recall I was talking about. Car is currently at dealer waiting for parts.

I was pulling into a parking space at my work parking lot, where I have been parking my car for the past 2.5 years. I was slowly parking the CRV, my foot was not applying any pressure on the gas, I was slowly easing into the parking space and as I was putting my foot on the brake to stop, it was very hard as if it was locked and the car kept going. I couldn't stop the SUV and it jumped the curb/went over the plants and crashed into a building/shattering glasses , frames, furniture and appliances as it hit the wall beam and stopped. to The Honda emergency brake system did not activate to stop the vehicle. I had no control of the vehicle as I frantically tried to brake- it was locked. I have reported a claim to State Farm insurance company and to Honda Claims. The Auburn, CA police came to the scene and completed a report. Honda just took the facts of loss and did not conduct any investigation. My insurance company has yet to inspect the vehicle or transfer the vehicle to a Honda dealership to rule out manufacturer defect.It is sitting at their preferred shop Caliber Collision of Rocklin, for the damage to be assessed.

Vehicle had sudden clunking noise near right front tire when being driven. Vehicle had TPMS light on. Vehicle has never been in a car accident, never has hit a bump at a high speed, and has never been crashed into anything. I was alarmed and scared of the sudden loud clunking noise. I took it immediately to the Norm Reeves Honda Center to get vehicle inspected. As I drove it to the Honda Center I drove slow and with precaution in fear of the car malfunctioning on the road. The vehicle was inspected by service department and confirmed that there was an faulty issue and the vehicle must stayed from 8/12/2023 to 8/14/2023 for repairs. I received a call from Honda Center and they informed me that the vehicle had the following issue. “Right front sway link nut loose during inspection & found tire pressure was uneven”. Inspector reported that the loose nut issue came from factory and that it was indeed a faulty sway link. Honda Center did the following to repair the issue, “Retighten nut & reset tire pressure to factory specs” I now have picked up vehicle from Honda Center and the TPMS light reappeared once again. I still feel uneasy driving the vehicle. I feel uneasy knowing that my vehicle had a faulty sway link and could have potentially caused me to loose control of the steering wheel, flip/roll over and killed/injured me and/or others in a car accident. I am fearful that the nut from the sway link can loosen up again and put me at risk of danger once again.

He hit me in the intersection. My airbags did not deploy, his did. I am a very cautious/mindful driver. I was always scared of this, as our state is the worst for red light runners. I was diagnosed with a concussion and cervical sprain. I have severe pain on the right side of my neck. I was in shock and felt immediate burning/pinching sensation. After the accident I was woozy, had vertigo, nauseous, have had a migraine since the crash and severe anxiety/panic and barely any sleep and no appetite. The crash and what happened after keeps replaying in my head. I'm having nightmares of being hit and my airbags not going off and my neck snapping and paralyzing me. Due to my concussion, I am still having some cognitive issues with speech, sensitivity to light, short-term memory, and emotional regulation. My anxiety has been skyrocketing. Mr. [XXX] and I both have Geico automobile policies. Geico found Mr. [XXX] 100% at fault during their investigation. I also wanted to include that a witness (man) was trying to break into my car, hitting my window after I was hit, while I was sitting and crying in the middle of the intersection with my seat belt still on. Him and a friend were screaming at me to move, and cussing me out. The 911 operator asked what was going on and told me not to move and let the fire department come. It was so scary. I am severely traumatized. The nightmares won't stop, I am starting therapy this week to address. Please help me. December 2022 two weeks after I leased the vehicle from Roush Honda, due to severe cold weather the driver side mirror cracked and I immediately reported to the dealer with photos via email communication. For 4 months I drove the car unsafely unable to use the driver side mirror, this caused anxiety, stress and dangerous especially merging on the free way and change left late. 4 months after, in April 2023 The dealer replaced the mirror to make the situation worse, and I reported immediately to the dealer. I have also communicated to the dealer management about this safety and endangerment via emails. Since April 2023 to present, while driving, the driver side mirror constantly vibrates, changes positions by itself, it is not adjustable electronically, and it is unstable. My wife and I operated and operate the vehicle over 7 months (December 2022 to present) without the ability to use driver side mirror, which caused and causes stress, anxiety and safely concerns especially merging on the free away and changing left lane. On multiple incidents almost got into terrible fetal accidents with semitrucks on the freeway caused by this unstable and un-adjustable driver side mirror. It is been unsafe over 7 months, endangering myself and my family (wife and 2 kids). Not even once, the dealer offered me rental car while they are trying to fix this dangerous issue. Please do investigate the documentations the proof is there. I am reporting this so no one or family has to go through this endangerment. The pain and suffering from this unsafe driving situation are heavy and continuous. Thanks for your help.

On 7/12/23 passenger side front door would not close after multiple attempts. I unlocked the doors from the driver side to allow my son in. He tried closing the door multiple times once he got in. I ensured nothing was blocking the door, and it still wouldn’t close. I pulled on the inside handle and tried closing it again. This time it did and I haven’t been able to replicate it again. I plan on having it inspected by the dealership

At approximately 9:30pm CST Saturday June 17th my 2023 Honda CRV Sport Touring has a rapid loss of power while travelling on the I-55 expressway in Illinois before the Weber Rd exit. Received critical engine failure error message and transmission failure error message. Final error was emission system error. Engine block was shaking severely - car could not move. Car towed to dealership where purchased, Valley Honda in Aurora IL. Has been with their service since then. They said piston was misfiring. They were talking about breaking down the engine but moved in a different engine. May need fuel injectors replaced - but shortage of those. Waiting for update, next step may be for me to meet with sales (hopefully for refund or buyback). Please contact me if you need additional information.
