VEHICLE EXPORTED FROM THE USA TO ECUADOR, Honda representative in Quito, Ecuador does not accept the vehicle. They give excuses and do not want to repair it .I WANT TO BUY THE SPARE PART AND TAKE IT TO THE WORKSHOP In the USA, Florida, they don't want to sell me the spare part. improperly produced steering gearbox worm wheel, the wheel can swell during use, reducing the grease film thickness between the worm wheel and worm gear. In addition, the worm gear spring preload was set improperly high, increasing the sliding force between the components. As a result of the reduced grease film thickness and increased sliding force, friction between the worm wheel and worm gear increases.

The rear camera on my 2024 CRV is totally useless if it rains or snows, the picture is so distorted you can't tell if a vehicle or person is behind you. This has caused me to not totally trust this feature even in clear weather. Thank goodness this has not caused any incidents when I'm backing up, but it is very nerve wracking. I mentioned this at the dealership when I first bought my car but I guess there is nothing they can do. My last car was a Subaru Outback and the camera was excellent, even in bad weather. Please have Honda do something about this dangerous situation.

The backup camera on my 2024 honda CRV switches to black and white in hot weather. Depending on how hot, it may either stay black and white or rapidly switch back and forth. Not only is this a distraction while backing up but the washed out black and white image makes it much harder to differentiate between the roadway and objects in it. The issue has been confirmed by my local dealership and they told me replacing parts does not fix the issue. There is no known fix at this time. I switch to relying entirely on my mirrors when this happens but this does reduce overall visibility, especially for small objects and children.

I have been experiencing a recurring issue with my new CR-V. Since I purchased it, water has been leaking into the vehicle during heavy rain. The leak occurs inside the car, at the lower left corner near the driver's side. I have brought the vehicle twice to the local Honda dealership, but they have been unable to identify or resolve the issue.

This vehicle has a rearview camera which should be color full time. 95% of the time the camera is black and white which makes it difficult to see whats behind you.This is a known problem to Honda. A simple google search shows multiple people with the same problem. I have spoke with Honda in California which is where you call with complaints, but all they say is they know there is a problem but the camera manufacturer needs to come up with a fix..i have spoken with someone from there directly at least 6-12 times. I bugged them enough that they replaced the rear view camera which they knew wouldn't work and it didn't. When using the wiper washer the fluid does not spray well and windshield does not get clean especially the passenger side. Very poor design.

The driver's side wiper doesn't completely clean/swipe the entire windshield and seems to stop short. The only time it completely swipes the windshield is if the windshield is completely wet and constant rain is falling. Otherwise, it stops short when misting and leaves streaks, affecting the driver's complete view of the road. Also, the windshield wiper fluid system seems to waste a lot of the fluid, and empties quickly. Not sure if it's a design flaw.

Rear window imploded/broke by its self. I was parked about to back up when it happened. loud crashing of the glass made me jump. I stopped got out of the car and was shocked that the window was broken. People on the sidewalks stopped and looked in shock as well. The car behind me had 2 people in it that were just pulling in to park and they saw it just implode. If I would have been driving at the time I could have been in a bad accident. The shattered glass sounded like a gun. I called and told HONDA the problem. They directed me to this site. HRV's have been reported having this problem per the HONDA person on the phone. My insurance had not heard of the problem. Even though my car is a 2024 they would not cover with HONDA parts per my policy, so I have an aftermarket rear window. The glass was installed/cleaned up and inspected by the glass/collision company LaMettry's in Plymouth, MN. NO warnings that this was going to happen.

On this vehicle, the washer fluid sprays intermittently by design. In theory, this would save fluid but the timing of the spray makes it so a majority of the right/passenger side windshield stays completely dry or gets just enough spray to smear around any obstruction that is on the windshield. I have had several times now where I need to clean my windshield from dirty road spray and end up needing to pull in to a gas station to get out and clean my windshield. There are online forums that talk extensively about this issue and seems to effect all 23 and newer Honda CRVs.

Sunroof exploded. Some glass fell on passengers inside of vehicle. Our vehicle is at the dealership waiting for inspection by someone from Honda. This happened without warning while we were driving at approx. 60mph. Heard a loud boom and realized the sunroof has broken. There was nothing around us or over head when this happened. We were traveling on a smooth two lane road with no other vehicles in front or behind us. AGAIN, this happened very suddenly without any warning. I did see on the internet that there have been similar cases of this failure happening in 2024 and 2025 CRV's.

Vehicle repeatedly brakes on its own when there are no vehicles in front to avoid. Very dangerous for vehicles behind and me and passengers. Dealer "cannot" reproduce, denies there is a problem despite 1000s of online complaints and NHTSA safety investigation. Incidents occurred within weeks of purchase in December 2023.

I love my 2024 Honda CRV which I purchased in May of 2025. But I need to report this for safety reasons. On September 9, 2025 I was driving south on Sare Road near Davis Road in Bloomington IN at about 30 mph when the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), activated and stopped the car in an instant. It was a rapid, unintended deceleration. The “Brake” message flashed on the dash. This occurred at approximately 7:30 pm, and there was no other traffic around me. No oncoming traffic, no other cars in front of me and thankfully no one following closely behind. There was no collision - however if another car had been behind me they likely would have rear-ended my vehicle. There were no people or animals in the vicinity to cause the CMBS to activate. And I did not inadvertently touch the brake prior to the incident. I was just driving along and suddenly thrown forward and restrained by my seatbelt. I could smell what seemed to be the brakes or tires. I was confused as to why the vehicle stopped. I turned the engine off and checked for traffic, then started the car and continued driving home without further incident. Within a day or two, I stopped in at my dealership ( Andy Mohr Honda) and reported the incident. Today (9/19/25) I was having a transmission fluid service and mentioned the CMBS issue to the technician and he chanced the Settings for CMBS from “far” to “near” and said that should solve the issue and to let them know if it occurs again. My concern is that if it happens again it could result in an accident and cause damage and injury. Especially if I am on the interstate driving at 60 mph.

While using Adaptive Cruise Control at 47mph on a local highway, Automatic Emergency Braking activated almost stopping the vehicle with vehicles fairly close behind it nearly causing an accident.  There were no vehicles beside our car and no vehicles or objects on the road in front that could trigger the braking.  This has also happened several times at lower speeds on less crowded roads.  After the last occurrence, I took the vehicle to the Prescott Honda Dealership where they were unable to duplicate the problem.  They documented the problem but told me that Honda would not replace the sensors under warranty unless the Honda Technician was able to duplicate the problem while driving it.  If this happened on a busy Interstate Highway like I-40 or I-17 at 75mph with vehicles or a large truck close behind, it could cause a serious accident.

The vehicle has occasionally hard decelerated (braked) for no apparent reason. The term seems to be "phantom braking". This has been going on for a while for my wife and me when either of us is driving. My wife doesn't usually use cruise control and I use it most of the time.

While driving down the road at about 45 mph, my 2024 CRV automatically applied the brakes while there was not anything in front of me. I’m [XXX] and honestly it scared me. I’m just wanting to report this because I don’t want anyone to get hurt. I have not taken it to the dealer as this was the first time. The driver side mirror vibrates, especially at highway speeds. It creates a distorted view. The dealership has replaced the glass. It did not remedy the issue. I took it in a second time and they replaced the entire mirror assembly. Still did not fix it. I took it in the third time and they said it is just a characteristic of this generation of CRV’s. It seems that Honda does not have a way to remedy the vibrating mirror problem. I find it very distracting while driving and it could potentially be a safety issue down the road with the distorted rear view.

This issue is the vertical door trim panels directly adjacent to the windows on all four door of the vehicle. Since purchasing this vehicle in 2024 we have had to have this/these door trim panels on the drivers side replaced three times due to the sun melting the panels. Honda service is well aware of the problem, the problem is also on the internet. I have complained and filed a formal complaint with Honda asking that the vehicle be replaced, this is still pending by Honda. I believe there to be several issues of concern with this. These trims panels are very thin, if the panels degraded condition is not addressed will it come free from the vehicle and possibly fly into an open back window into the face/throat of a passenger at 55 mph or greater? Will the panel come free and be propelled into another vehicle traveling behind me? Will another driver lose control over this issue? I believe there to be enough sharp edges/surfaces on this panel to cause serious bodily harm at 55mph or greater. Honda, the internet (media) are all well aware of this issue, yet Honda just keeps replacing the sun melted panels with another panel that eventually melt. I have had to take the time to drop off the vehicle, pick up my wife (owner) then take her back to pick up the vehicle. When the standard warranty expires what then? These panels are obviously defective in design, why has Honda not redesigned the part to withstand sunlight/heat so that this stops happening? Considering the amount of these vehicles on the road today I cannot understand why this is not properly addressed. I have an open case with Honda over this issue, I requested that the vehicle be replaced (brand new vehicle with a never ending defect/safety issue). My case number with Honda is 15594160. Please help with this (corrective engineering on replacement part) I am receiving the obligatory corporate response from Honda and I think this issue warrants more authority/stance then I have. I am filing a complaint about the horn on this Honda CRV model. Honda, for some reason, changed the horn system to a mono note horn that is so weak it is difficult for other motorists and pedestrians to hear. The Honda dealer told me that it is supposed to sound like that and it is not defective. This weak single note horn is used in 2023 and 2024 Honda CRVs. It is referred to by fellow CRV owners on forums as a "clown car" horn. It makes a very weak "toot" and in traffic, no one seems to hear it. I feel this is a safety concern and therefore, I am reporting it to NHTSA.

Rear hatch door leaks water when it rains or when it is ran through the car wash, or when water touches the top if the rear hatch door. Water leaks inside the vehicle. Dealer has attempted to fix this issue multiple times and not able to repair it.

The Hood on my 2024 Honda CRV has been vibrating and appears to have some flex. This occurs consistently at highway speeds and is even more noticeable on windy days. I’ve double checked that the hood is closed and it is latched properly.

I received a recall notice back in November of 2024 regarding 2 issues with my new 2024Honda CRV Hybrid. It took almost 2 months for Honda to fix one of the recalls, but they said the parts were not in for the fuel pump. They told me to keep checking back with them. It is now approaching the end of February, and when I called Honda back again to check on getting my fuel pump recall fixed I was informed that there was NO remedy available to fix the problem. I drive my children to and from school every day and to their extra curricular activities. Online it states that the improper production of a high pressure fuel pump can create safety concerns. I am extremely uncomfortable knowing the new vehicle I am driving can lead to an increase chance of injury or fire. I want a replacement car if this recall can not be fixed in a timely manner.

There’s a recall for a faulty fuel pump. Potential fuel leak. It’s been out for almost a month and no remedy. Not sure if there’s an urgency by Honda but a fuel leak sounds like this needs to be fixed asap.

The fuel injector in my 2024 Honda CR-V malfunctioned, causing severe shaking upon startup, with the "Check Engine" and "Emission System Problem" lights appearing. This incident posed a safety risk, as the engine seemed unstable and power was reduced, potentially affecting vehicle control. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer, who recommended replacing the fuel injector. No other parties (such as insurance or police) have inspected it. These warning indicators first appeared a few days before I took it to the dealer.

1. Dashboard showed multiple system failures. Already sent to dealership and taking a look. They determined that it was the high pressure fuel pump. I saw there were previous recalls for it. Wanted to make sure that no other cars are effected. 2. The car completely stopped in the middle of the road and did not start at all. Had to physically move the vehicle out of the road to a safe place. 3. It has been confirmed by the dealer and they are replacing the part. 4. Manufacturer is looking into it. 5. No prior warning symbols.

Within 10 days of ownership my 2024 Hybrid CRV Sport Touring AWD broke down in the middle of a busy intersection. I noticed an exceptionally rough idle that permeated through the cabin. When I tried to accelerate, a vile burning smell also came into the cabin like electricity burning metal. The vehicle then died mid acceleration and cars behind me swerved around due to the abrupt stop while every dashboard warning came up including a check engine code. I was able to crawl it to a parking lot and tow it at my expense of course. Upon inspection by the dealer they confirmed it was faulty fuel injectors at just 230 miles on the odometer. They had no clue how or why brand new injectors would give out. My concern here is how it failed. It aggressively cut off power mid acceleration with cars having to dodge my vehicle and the smell of metal burning was a huge concern to me. Had I continued to drive who knows what would have happened. I am writing this so that the NHTSA has this on file to aid in future investigations of similar incidents.

My Crv has difficulty in steering. I can go straight down the road and try to change lanes. It can take a strong tug to get it to change lanes. Once it loosens back up it is ok to steer. I took it to the Honda dealer and they said it was normal. I think they are avoiding a dangerous problem. If I turn on the lane keep assist it is even harder to steer. I have reported this before. Nothing gets logged I will try a different dealer after the holidays. Why should I have to lemon law a car for a common problem.

Unable to open doors with manual key after U0155 error code (lost comms with Isttument panel control cluster) and "emissions problem. Power may be reduced. Contact dealer" notification. Vehicle was left overnight after codes cleared and will not turn on or open doors. Dealer to investigate.

I bought the car brand new and from day 1 the backup camera display from the instrument is black and white. I scheduled an appointment at the dealer I brought the car from and they said they can’t do anything since Honda can’t figure out what is wrong yet. I called Honda motor directly tried to file a claim and I just get kept transferring around. It’s hard to see when at night time with display black and white.

My 2024 Honda CRV-Hybrid was sold to me with a defective back-up camera. The back-up camera starts in color and changes to black and white 98% of the time. I noticed the problem when I was driving the vehicle home from the dealership. I brought the vehicle into the dealership at 300 miles. I was told Honda Corporate is aware of the problem and has no remedy or solution to fix. I called Honda Corporate and opened a case. I was told by Honda Corporate to take the vehicle back to the dealership. I brought it again to the dealership at 587 miles. The dealership refused to see me for the problem. I was sold a vehicle that is known by Honda to have a defective back-up camera. This is fraud.

The contact stated that while attempting to park while the vehicle was in drive (D), she collided with bushes, and while she depressed the accelerator pedal, the gears inadvertently changed from drive (D) to reverse (R), causing the vehicle to reverse at a high speed. The brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle did not slow down as intended. The vehicle continued to accelerate in reverse, crossed a roadway, went down a slight incline, and the rear of the vehicle collided with a tree, stopping the vehicle. The contact did not sustain any injuries. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to a body shop, where the physical damage would be assessed and repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

This 2024 Honda CRV only had 24k miles and experienced total transmission failure. I was traveling and started experiencing problems. Two factory Honda dealers (Dahl Honda rhinelander and a Duluth Honda dealer) turned me away for repairs, even though they said it was the CVT. The cvt would make loud clunking and clanging noise. During driving it would hesitate and then surge creating a drivability safety hazard. Finally OMalleys in Wausau said cvt needed to be replaced. Dahl and Duluth Honda had me continue driving despite have factory original warranty and extended bumper to bumper 100k which covered car rental. Disappointed in Honda quality and potential safety issue,

This is a complaint that both American Honda and my local dealer, Dick Brooks Honda (of Greer, South Carolina) have failed to provide remedy for recall 24V-744 in the 60 day timeframe.

I took my vehicle in for its' first service. The code displayed was A 1 6 indicating the new to change the oil and change the transmission fluid. I thought it was strange that I needed to change the transmission fluid so soon. After the dealer inspected my vehicle, they found that the manufacturer improperly routed/attached a hose that caused the transmission to leak fluid. The transmission fluid level was LOW on a brand new vehicle with only 10,000 miles at first service. I am curious if this is a common assembly issue.

The vehicle is a 2024 Honda CR-V EX-L with approximately 13,000 miles, purchased at Gillman Honda in Houston, TX on May 29, 2024. The issue involves the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) activating without any obstacle present. The first incident occurred in February 2025 at around 11,000 miles while driving on a feeder road at ~25 mph. The vehicle suddenly braked to a complete stop even though the road was clear. There were cars behind me, and although they stopped in time, it created a serious risk of rear-end collision. Had I been traveling at a higher speed and the car braked completely, this could have caused the vehicle to flip or lose control. The second incident occurred on September 4, 2025 at ~13,000 miles while driving on a busy street at approximately 40 mph. The vehicle suddenly braked very hard for no reason, but did not fully stop — instead, it resumed immediately. It felt as if the car “took a screenshot,” braking sharply then continuing. This was especially dangerous since I was traveling at a higher speed, and vehicles behind me could have easily collided with mine. Both incidents put my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk. The vehicle was brought to Gillman Honda on September 16, 2025. The dealer acknowledged the safety concern and kept the car for inspection. On September 19, 2025, the service representative confirmed they had contacted Honda corporate and opened a case because of the seriousness of the issue. The car is still being held at the dealership pending corporate guidance. No warning lights, error messages, or prior alerts appeared before either incident. This appears consistent with a known problem that has been reported by many Honda owners in recent years involving unintended braking by the CMBS system. The defect makes the vehicle unsafe to operate, and at this point we no longer feel safe driving it.

I was driving on an empty two lane road going 35-40 mph. The car braked suddenly and the BRAKE warning light came on but no sound. On the way to the service department at the dealership it happened again, only this time I was going 20 mph and in traffic. There was a car in front of me at least 3 car lengths but was moving. I heard the brakes of the car behind me squeal as he avoided hitting me. No sound from my car, the brake light came on, I also put my foot on the brake thinking maybe the car sensed an encroachment I didn’t notice. But there was none, so I released the brake before coming to a complete stop. The service department inspected the system and could not reproduce or confirm any issues. 2024 Honda CR-V VIN [XXX] Phantom Braking Car has experienced phantom braking numerous times since March 2024 when new. Initially occurred within one week of driving the new vehicle. Did not report it to dealer at first as we thought it was something that we were doing, or some sensitivity that the car typically exhibited. At random times car decelerates quickly as if pressing on brakes, or losing engine power (fuel supply, ignition, etc.), or downshifting quickly. After a few seconds car can be accelerated and resumes speed. In virtually every case it has occurred on dry, clear roads with no vehicles or obstructions ahead. Car, cameras and sensors were clean. Occurs when accelerating either slowly or rapidly. Occurs when entering a highway from an ON ramp. Occurs at 10 mph or 70 mph. Driver is not touching the paddle downshifter. Sometimes deceleration occurs multiple times within seconds after the previous - 2 to 3 times. Rapid slowing does not occur when in cruise control, or when manually increasing speed in cruise control. In all cases Red Brake warning light in instrument panel does not flash and there is nothing immediately in front of car. This condition is extremely dangerous, especially when there are vehicles behind, and they are not expecting my vehicle to slow rapidly. Occurs when accelerating to pass a car ahead. Or when trying to accelerate onto a highway to match speed of approaching traffic. We are always in fear of being hit from behind by unsuspecting drivers. We’ve come to expect the hesitation/braking to happen and drive even more defensively. Braking occurs absolutely randomly. This happened about 6-7 times starting from about 5500 miles, at absolutely different speeds. I slow down to reduce speed, then the system starts warning with a BRAKE signal and after that suddenly stops, to a complete stop, although this is absolutely not necessary, because the front car is very far. I was hit in the bumper once. I have a video of how it did it on the highway. The last time got into the accident with the car, as the hit didn't make any damage to the car, did not report to police, took the car to dealership, but was advised to change the setting, but it did not change anything still the random braking exist.

Driver assist systems disable themselves occasionally and seemingly at random. It seems that something is hyperactive or overly sensitive with the system. I have stopped to clean areas where camera is and it doesn't seem to make a difference or helps for a little while and then happens again. Unable to use cruise control for remainder of trip without calling dealership and them telling me to press and hold something to shut off driver assist in order to use cruise control. Another time my front collision warning flashed and disabled my cruise control while I was going down an interstate highway recently at 75 mph. Luckily no one was close behind me. I have no idea what it detected that would have set this off because there was nothing there. Not even a tumbleweed. The weather was somewhat windy and it had rained lightly earlier in the trip but was dry at the time this happened. Another time this past week, the lane departure flashed and did the shimmy with my steering wheel and I was not even outside of a lane. And then when I was on my own road going home and no one was coming I deliberately went outside the center lane and it did nothing. This is getting weird. I don't want to be a statistic. It's getting so I am spooked to drive it on a longer trip! I told the dealership during an oil change today but apparently there isn't much they can do? To me, this is unacceptable and Honda needs to better for it's customers.

When snow gets on the front Honda logo all safety functions shut down and a screen comes on and says “clean area showing) so I pulled over on the next off ramp and clean the snow and mush off the emblem and with in the next 10mi it comes back on.. this happened to me 4x coming from Fort Wayne Indiana to Noblesville Indiana. Went to the Honda forum and it a common problem. It wasn’t that bad out to be doing this.. No Cruise control No lane departure No auto braking No safety features at all until you clean the front logo

On 12/6/24, while driving at highway speed, my engine made a LOUD EXPLOSIVE SOUND followed by immediate power loss—life-threatening. Vehicle couldn't exceed 65 mph despite full throttle, engine wouldn't idle, became inoperable. Had to merge right and limp to dealership in traffic. THIRD catastrophic failure in recent months at only 11,700 miles. First (10/19/24, 11,174 miles): Multi-system errors, inoperable, 21 days out. Complete cylinder head replacement (Cylinder 2). Second (12/2/24): Identical errors two weeks later. Cylinder 4 misfire, fuel injector replaced, 3 days out. Different cylinder proves systemic defect—50% of engine affected. Third (12/6/24): Highway breakdown. "Repaired" in hours with spark plugs only—inadequate for explosive failure. Service advisor admitted "whole part might have potential issue" but Honda policy prohibits preventive replacement "until really broken"—knowingly allowing defective vehicles until catastrophic failure. Dealership attempted release without highway test; conducted only after I demanded it. No explosive sound explanation. Refused diagnostics, compression testing, internal inspection. First two failures had dashboard warnings at low speed. Third had ZERO immediate warning—normal to explosive failure instantly at highway speed (warnings appeared 2 hours later). Unpredictable and extremely dangerous. Explosive sound indicates severe internal damage—not just spark plugs. Evidence: 11,700 miles too young. Specific cylinders (2, 4) suggest manufacturing defect. Dealership admitted defect. Immediate recurrence after major repairs. Vehicle at Parkway Honda (1575 VFW Pkwy, West Roxbury, MA), available for inspection. Honda case #16033311/12. MA AG/BBB complaints filed. 24+ days out. URGE NHTSA: Investigate if other 2024 CR-Vs affected, determine if recall needed, investigate Honda policy refusing repair until catastrophic failure.

Driving on an [XXX] near St Pauls NC at 70mph the engine shut off. Annunciator came on stop now engine is quitting. Check engine light came on. We were in a construction zone so there were barriers blocking the shoulders. We were in a high risk of someone behind ramming into us. We coasted to the exit which was 1/2 mile away. We exited at 2mph. We were very fortunate that no one from the rear, hit us. There was a tractor trailer behind us who put his flashers on, realizing the issue stayed behind us to keep cars from hitting us. All warning lights came on, first engine then all of the safety warnings. Car would not run. It was towed to a Honda dealer in Fayetteville. Honda analyzed the issue as a misfire resulting in engine damage. They performed a boroscope and found 3 piston cracked. Honda after 3 weeks installed a new short block and fuel injectors. 3 Check engine lights came on when my car was transitioning from electric to gas while I was sitting idle. I towed my brand new car (6500 miles) to the honda dealership and they diagnosed it as faulty fuel injectors, a bad spark plug, and a bad ignition coil. The dealer said this is a widespread issue and they have been servicing this type of issue very frequently.

Long story short, I was driving my car and had noticed that when the engine would turn on from EV mode, it would idle rough and sometimes sound like it was struggling. I had it checked when the recall came in for my steering gearbox and they said nothing was wrong. Cue 600 miles later, every check engine light comes on and my car is loud as it gets. I call and take it to Honda and they tell me that since my car “cleared the code” itself, they can’t find it and I have to wait for it to maybe come back. As of yesterday, I went cause it started doing the same stuff as described above and they ran diagnostics on it. All 4 of my fuel injectors on the car have failed and need to be replaced. My car has less than 11k miles on it and all 4 of my injectors have gone bad? This isn’t just a me issue this is going on all over cause the service manager called another rep and the dude said he has seen it before too.

I had adaptive cruise turned on and set to 36 mph, a vehicle which was a good distance in front of of me turned left across the oncoming lane and into a parking lot. Even though the car that made the turn was already in the parking lot the car slammed on the brakes. I have the entire incident in video. Of course this problem also exists and is even more dangerous at high speeds. I have complained to Honda USA three times and NHTSA once a few months ago and no response. My daughter who has the same vehicle also experiences these issues. Someone is going to get seriously injured . I’ve had cars behind me almost cause a wreck on the highway because of the slamming on brakes issue . Please advise where I can send the rascal video. It’s a matter of life and death.

When driving along using the cruise control, the vehicle will suddenly act as it is avoiding a collision. The collision warning will show on the dashboard and the car will suddenly slow down to a stop or near stop until I disengage the cruise control and hit the gas pedal. This has happened multiple times while I was driving along a paved road with no other cars or obstacles visible ahead of me. Fortunately, so far, no vehicle was following me at close range but my car stopping in the middle of the road without warning could easily cause a rear end collision or other severe accident.

I have a 2024 CRV hybrid Sport L. I recently had a warranty claim, that was attributed to an issue with the throttle body. The engine reduced power and would not go over 25mph. And emissions fault was announced, which forced the turning off of all safety features of the car. I was able to drive to the dealership during non-traffic hours. I don’t know if this could mid-drive , but mine fortunately happened when I turned the car on. I got the dealership to replace the throttle body and take pictures of the problem before and after. It appears that the EGR dumps downstream of the throttle body causing the butterfly valve “pin” to corrode and that tripped an emissions fault in my car and reduced the power and limited the engine to 25mph. The car only has 15k miles on it. The replacement throttle body has no redesign. It’s identical per the dealership and Honda. And no one is able to tell me if it’s going to happen again. I used the same exact gas as every other car I drive, and I have driven in the same city environment for 10 years now. So it’s clearly a design or quality issue. Honda would not give me more information. So I was forced to take this route.

I almost got into accident twice by using Auto Engine Stop/Start feature at traffic light. Traffic light was green and the car in front of me turned right but they were too slow to turn which I had to hit my break. Due to hitting my break, the car thought I was stop/idle so it turned Engine off. When the car turned Engine off, it basically got hiccups or stalls for few second and the car behind me almost hitting me as traffic light was green to go. You can only temporarily turn off this feature and it will default turn on when the car starts which will lead to accidents in matter of time if I forgot to turn it off every time I start the car. Honda should update software to allow customers to turn it off permanently if they want to instead default on.

There are a few safety issues I've experienced multiple times while driving this car. To the best of my knowledge, there haven't been any warning lamps or indicators on the dash related to these issues. When driving, the car will activate the emergency braking system, braking incredibly hard at freeways speeds and street driving speeds even though there is nothing near or close to the front of the car. The car has braked so intensely that items fly around the car and that both my son and I have experienced back, neck, and shoulder pain from the unexpected/severe braking. The other safety issue I've experienced is the lane departure/keeping sensors going off on the dash and the car pulls itself out of the lane. It seems like the car thinks I've departed the lane and is trying to pull me back into the lane, but, in reality, I am in the lane and the car is pulling itself into the next lane (sometimes even when another car is next to me or approaching). This is a safety concern since it causes swerving and my car could crash into another car or a lane divider if I didn't react so quickly to overpower the automatic lane departure. It's also a recurring issue to have to fight the car to keep it in the lane and makes for very tense driving. The last issue is an electrical one, I believe, related to the infotainment panel. The power on the infotainment system goes off unexpectedly while driving. It sometimes will not power on during start up. If it turns off while driving, sometimes I have to stop, turn off the car, and restart it to get it working again and other times it reboots itself after a minute or a few. All of these issues have happened countless times, as long as I've had the car. I've had it inspected and during the most recent inspection (Sept 2024) they asked me to come in to drive the car so that the issues would be reproduced while the mechanic was sitting in the passenger seat. I was able to reproduce the issues while the mechanic was in the car with me.

Warning lights (LKAS, Collision Mitigation, Road Departure Assist and Break System) suddenly went on as I was backing out of the driveway. No obstruction found on the vehicle upon checking. CR-V was with 2328 miles on it. Informed the dealer of the issue and got it serviced immediately. I was informed that the multipurpose camera needs replacement. Service Manager from the Honda dealer said that the vehicle is still drivable even with warning lights on and that the camera is on back order but the ETA is unknown.

At 10,300 miles, when being serviced at the dealership for an oil change, tire rotation, and two service bulletins, I was informed of an “embedded” code saying the main camera needed replacing. Looking online, Honda has an issue. This seems to be happening frequently.

My 2024 Honda CR-V EX is experiencing a premature head gasket failure at approximately one year of ownership. A head gasket is a long-life component designed to maintain proper combustion sealing and prevent coolant/oil cross-contamination. This type of failure should not occur on a new vehicle and suggests a potential manufacturing or engineering defect in the powertrain. Before diagnosis, the vehicle displayed symptoms consistent with gasket integrity loss, including rough running, shaking during acceleration, reduced power output, inconsistent engine temperature, and abnormal vibration. These issues indicate possible combustion leakage, coolant intrusion into the cylinders, or compromised cooling system performance. Given the low age and mileage of the vehicle, the failure does not align with normal wear. Possible causes include improper factory installation, uneven torque application, defective gasket materials, engine block or cylinder-head surface irregularities, or thermal management issues that could cause localized overheating or warpage. Any of these would point to a systemic defect rather than owner misuse. A failing head gasket can lead to engine overheating, stalling, power loss, oil/coolant contamination, and eventual engine failure. These conditions present clear safety risks if they occur while the vehicle is in motion. Because this is a major powertrain failure occurring far earlier than expected, I believe this issue may affect other 2024 CR-V models and warrants investigation. I am submitting this complaint so NHTSA can review whether a potential defect exists that could require further action to protect consumers.

When car is idle and hybrid battery switches to gasoline engine the engine shakes violently and warning lamps and messages for engine and transmission error come on. It's becoming more of a problem and dealerships do not know how to correctly diagnosis it. I've taken my car to the dealership twice and still the problems occur. I believe that the fuel injectors are faulty straight from the manufacture. In some cases the car can shut off on its own

After seeing the IIHS report on this 2024 Honda CRV rear seat safety issue shown in the crash test where the rear seat is deforming during offset crash I wanted to see if the NHTSA was going to investigate this issue further and request that Honda address this obvious safety issue. Drivers seat wobbles and feels unstable. Upon breaking you can feel the seat wobble. It was compared and inspected to another vehicle were same movement was detected based on the dealers service department. No other signs detected. The seat wobbling was detected and first felt 3 weeks after purchase.

This happens even during good weather where there is plenty of light out and no reason for it to switch to low visibility or nighttime mode. The car dealer said there was no fix for this. The backup camera image is shown as black and white, not color, and has poor resolution. With the black and white image and poor resolution, it is hard to determine exactly what is behind the vehicle when backing up, particularly in conditions of reduced lighting. The backup camera system was inspected by Honda dealership service and confirmed to have an issue. The display screen unit was replaced, but the backup camera image is still shown as black and white and has poor resolution. Another service appointment has been made.

Road Departure Mitigation Error See Dealer Followed by Lane Departure Error See Dealer when making sharp left or right out of a parking space or backing out of a parking space and making hard left turn or right turn. There are numerous comments on Honda Blogs and Reddit but the local Dealership Pohanka Honda of Salisbury says they can't fix it unless it shows an error- online it looks like the RDM software and camera and sensor get confused when starting and making hard left or right turn - it does not happen anytime during the drive and I drive 1000 miles a week and in and out of car 15 to 20 times a day and it can happen as much as 4 to 5 times when starting - so it is intermittent- they gave me a loaner 2025 Honda CRV non Hybrid and no issues and my wife just bought a 2026 Honda CRV non Hybrid and no issues. From what I see is local dealers are not reporting it to Honda corporate as they cannot find an error code and just write it up as a software glitch- so if no one is reporting it from the dealerships Honda will not know how many vehicles are having this issue and won't find a fix - says there has been a steering box recall on some Hybrids but not this vin, also says it can be the sensor or sensor brace or the camera and finally the software , Highly irritating since i am in the car so many hours a day - regular drivers to a work location and back home may never have this issue - I have gps in my car and a video clip of the error and can show you both - also there was a service bulletin regarding this issue when backing and not sure that software was updated in my car- i was told no errors , all software is up to date and picked the car up 6:30 pm 10 15 and by 1:00 pm 10 16 the error showed . Please help me as it has been August 2023 with this issue and may dealership visits.

Lane keeping/departure function could easily lead to an accident IMO. 1. Operation is either somewhat random, or uses complex rules to determine how to behave in differing circumstances, making it feel unpredictable. 2. Steering correction force can last too long, resulting in over-correction (could push you into oncoming traffic). 3. The button on the car seat that is meant to tighten the shoulder harness is made of hard plastic, protrudes out without any cushion to cover it, and is located right where my child’s feet lay. As a result, my child has suffered injury on their (foot, ankle and calf) from kicking this part. I did reach out to the manufacturer, and they advised me to put socks on my child or a towel down over the part to prevent injury. The car seat was $550.

My car was sitting in idle with the engine on for approximately five minutes, then all of the sudden the engine started to make loud tractor engine-like loud noises. The dashboard was bombarded with warnings. I turned the car off, and waited a few seconds. After I restarted the car, the check engine light turned on and the system reverted to one warning on the screen which read "Emissions system problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer."

On Nov. 15, 2023, this vehicle had an episode of unintended acceleration as I was pulling into our garage. This resulted in the front end of the car crashing into material that was stored against a garage wall. I contacted the dealership immediately, and the car was towed to them. They stated that no computer error codes were found. A Honda certified repair center was recommended.. The car was towed to this repair center. It cost approximately $18,000 to repair the car and took 10 weeks. I also contacted American Honda to report the issue. I was told that I should call again after the repairs were finished and that additional testing would be done. I did call Honda after the repairs were done but did not hear back from them. I drove the car from the end of January 2024 until November 2024. At that time a second episode of unintended acceleration occurred on 11-14-2024, also while I was pulling into my garage. This caused damage to the right front end of the car and to the garage wall. I feel that this car is not safe to drive. I am concerned about a recurrence of unintended acceleration putting myself and others at risk. I have elected not to have the damage from the second accident repaired since I will not be driving this car again. I contacted American Honda again after the second incident. I provided them with documentation of the damage to the car along with insurance claims and repair bills. The case is now in the mediation department at American Honda. I am waiting to hear back from them. Fortunately, I was not physically injured during either accident. The vehicle is available for inspection. The answer to the other questions is no.

I was driving back Thorne to Illinois on the highway from Florida vacation. My car shut off and could not continue to accelerate, at this point I’m in Georgia on [XXX] . I pulled over to the shoulder my car would not start. I towed it to Honda and they didn’t find the issue because there were no codes coming up and let us go home. Car turned on next morning and we continued to drive home. Well before we got to Nashville Tennessee the car shut off on the Highway again. We towed it to Honda again in Tennessee this time. We had to catch a ride home because Honda said it was unsafe to drive the car and they kept it to repair it. They said Both fuel pumps were not working and that they were going to order those parts and replace them. And go from there. And now they have called me saying they have replaced the fuel pump but the car is still having the same issues and the engineers says to start replacing thing and to start with the PCM and go from there. Currently the car is still at Honda Tennessee and they’re awaiting to get the PCM delivered to replace it in the car. The system’s hybrid lithium ion battery froze and initially would not communicate the smart key to the vehicle. Then when it finally did, the system power was cut in half due to safety emissions problems. Unknown at this time if Honda will have a fix for this situation. I fear this could result in a safety situation if power were to be cut unannounced. The vehicle has been brought to dealer. And 4 exact vehicles had the same problem on January 23 2025, at bedard bros. Honda Cheshire, Ma.

This car does not seem fuel efficient it goes through gas like candy. The gas is not filling up correctly - no matter which gas station I use. The AC lets out puddles of water. The suspension is slightly off it acts like an row boat on waves so like an S in certain rain situations like it has a loose slippery power steering suspension. My tires are not the issue because they are brand new from when I got the car last year in November. I only have a little over 10K miles on the car. Next the electrical keeps glitching. The night driving lights do not work correctly after Honda did the recall repair. I am taking it back to Hendricks Honda for the next oil change on 12/27 and to try and get it fixed under warranty but I think they did not disclose a defect on the car when I bought it used with very low miles.

Headlights are super dim, not lighting the road properly. My halogen headlights on my old 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander are much brighter than these Honda LEDs. To make matters worse, headlights are aimed a bit high. I took it to Honda service and complained and they acknowledged that the lights are aid a bit high and that they are weak, but cannot do anything about it. Honda should recall these headlights, they are a road hazard. You cannot see properly at night and if it rains and it is night, these lights might as well be off as they are completely useless. I follow CR-V Facebook Owner group and many people are complaining about these headlights.

The supposedly “LED Headlights on this vehicle is very dim and very unsafe to drive. I have contacted Honda of Marysville Wa state about the headlights inability to provide light on the roads but was ignored. We almost had an accident because the headlights are so dim we almost hit another vehicle. This needs to be addressed by honda before something bad happens.

The dealer is currently refusing to take the vehicle in until they have parts available in DECEMBER. This is clearly to avoid lemon law and I would like to report the dealer for engaging this behavior.

Honda CRV Hybrid, 6 months old, purchased new from the dealer. The car was parked on level ground. I started the car, shortly after I shifted it into reverse. Reverse camera turned on and the audible reverse sound turned on. I let go of the brake, car drove forward. I applied the brake, shifted into drive, then back into reverse. When I let go of the brake I had the same issue, the reverse camera turned on and the audible reverse sound turned on but the car moved forward. The steering was stiff as well. I shifted into park, turned off and restarted the car and the faulty issue went away.

Fuel Injectors failed on all 4 cylinders. They replaced them, still having issue. Blown head gasket was what they diagnosed next and repaired. Picked up vehicle, when driving it down the interstate (70 mph speed limit) the check engine light started flashing. An error came up indicating a Critical Failure. Vehicle stopped accelerating and would not move, luckily I was able to coast to the emergency lane. American Honda states they want to replace the cylinder head now.

Car was only a couple months old. Started shuttering and losing power while driving on freeway, all wheel drive function cut out also. No lights or indication of a problem until a couple of days later. Took to dealer, turns out the fuel injectors failed. Mostly with the 2024 CRV Hybrids, but seems that other 6th gen years are affected also. Contacted Honda corporate office and they are pretending to not know of any issues, even though a simple google search will show many other people are reporting the same thing.

The foam padding on the seat has detached from the base and has split into two separate pieces. Each time I place my daughter in the car seat, the padding shifts and moves, causing her to sit unevenly and no longer securely on the seat. This issue puts my child at a safety risk. The foam padding is supposed to remain secured and absorb energy in the event of an accident. Because it is separating and moving out of place, it cannot function as intended, which is extremely concerning for a product designed for protection. We have only been using this car seat for roughly three months, and it was purchased brand new. The car seat has not been inspected by anyone yet, but it is available for inspection if needed. I have also reached out to the manufacturer, and they informed me that they will not take any action to resolve the issue.

Since purchasing over a year ago Recurring failure of the rear-view backup camera system, resulting in a black and white image, coupled with dangerous malfunctions of the integrated Rear Cross Traffic Monitor (RCTM) system. Detailed Description of Safety Hazard The backup camera image repeatedly reverts from color to black and white, making it significantly harder to distinguish critical objects like pedestrians, curbs, and other vehicles, especially in low-light conditions. Crucially, this malfunction is directly affecting the vehicle's active safety systems: 1. Failure to Detect Cross Traffic: The Rear Cross Traffic Monitor (RCTM) often fails to warn of approaching vehicles, pedestrians, or objects when backing out of a parking space. This eliminates a vital safety feature and creates a high risk of a back-over collision. 2. False Cross Traffic Warnings & Unintended Braking: The system also frequently provides false warnings for non-existent cross traffic, which can cause the vehicle to momentarily lock the brakes up (Auto-Brake) without driver input. This sudden and unintended stopping during a maneuver is unpredictable, startling, and poses a risk of creating an accident, especially if a vehicle is maneuvering behind me. The system was previously serviced, including camera replacement, but the issue returned within a few weeks. Driver of the vehicle was traveling about 50 miles per hour, Multiple warning notices appeared on the dashboard ranging from Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem, Collision Mitigation Braking System problem, All Wheel Drive System Problem, Electronic Power Steering Problem, Electric Parking Brake System Problem, Brake System Problem, etc., approximately 16 error messages. The front end wobbled, Brakes were mushy, Steering was difficult as if the power steering ceased working. Was able to safely pull off the road. Vehicle was towed to dealer for diagnosis and repair. Dealer pulled codes from the ODB port and it displayed multiple warnings. See attached list of codes from the Dealer Dealer checked multiple systems but was unable to diagnose the cause. Dealer re-set the codes and sent the car home. This could have been a significant safety issue if the event had occurred under different circumstances. Request investigation into Honda to determine if this issue has occurred elsewhere, determined a root cause, and if the manufacturer needs to issue a recall for all affected vehicles.

My 2024 CR-V EX-L FWD has roughly 37,000 miles on it, and the tires have been rotated per Honda's built-in "Maintenance Minder". The inner shoulder of all four tires are worn to the extent that they need to be replaced. The rear suspension suffers from excessive negative camber; It is visually discernable upon approaching the vehicle from behind. I asked the service advisor at my local dealership in League City, TX, what they could do about it, since the rear camber is non-adjustable, and his response was that in situations like this, they recommend installation of aftermarket adjustable upper control arms. They, of course, do not install those parts, and, he even indicated that once those were installed, they would no longer perform any alignment of the vehicle. Additionally, that would void any warranty of any rear suspension components. I have since discovered Honda TSB 20-081 for 2017-2020 CRVs (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10181080-0001.pdf). I know, via comparison of part numbers on honda parts websites, that 2017-2026 CR-V's all share many of the same rear suspension components. Therefore, I think this is a situation where there is an overarching issue in the suspension design used on the 5th and 6th generation CR-V (and therefore, also their contemporaries - Civic, Accord, HR-V, Clarity, and Acura Integra, which also share components with this design). Additionally, the rear of my CR-V looks to be 'sagging', and knowing how suspension geometry functions, it leaves me thinking that perhaps the springs specified for the FWD CR-V (at least) may be too short or have too light of a spring rate, permitting this 'sag', which would then not only result in more negative camber but also increase the toe measurements as well, which would also negatively affect tire life.

I have had to go to Honda numerous times for the same thing. They are chalking it up to its a CVT engine. It seems to incur after going in reverse and other times it just starts sounding louder in its spin and the rpm is not at normal intervals because it’s almost like a gear shifting mode like it’s stuck in low gear. Also when it becomes sluggish it feels like an engine part is spinning on air versus using gas and oil. Like if the engine is going to shut off mode as I try accelerating and then cars are passing me by. The speedometer is showing one number but the movement of the car here is a lower number. at the same moment the rpm needle bounces around too. Each time this occurs I have to turn the car off at least two or three times before it goes back to normal operation.

Malfunction of the Honda CRV's Rear upper control arms. Yes it will be available to inspect until the 13th of October. Safety risk is the fact there is no more adjustment on the factory installed rear upper control arms. When on the rack and they align the vehicle, they only want a .5 degree when being done. The factory installed rear upper control arms makes the camber maxed out at 1.25 degrees to the negative. This causes severe wearing of the tires if they are not watched closely and rotated frequently. Yes. The vehicle has been inspected by a certified shop and the dealership. Yes there was wear on the tires that made me request a four point inspection at the dealership. They did not preform an alignment. Said it was the lack of quality tires installed at the factory that made them wear so badly. This issue is not covered by manufacturing/ extended warranty available. Honda's response "more aggressive tire rotation" to prevent the problem. That is unacceptable. Especially when it is being said right off the alignment rack: "we only want to see a .5 degree for the toe and camber. This Honda is maxed out and will not move away from that 1.25 degree mark." There is such a thing as adjustable upper control arms to prevent the premature wear of tires.

I purchased a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid (VIN [XXX] ) that was represented as having only an airbag replacement. A certified Honda dealer inspection has revealed multiple serious safety defects: •Driver seat belt buckle malfunction (DTC B0050-F0): The seat belt does not function properly and cannot be repaired without replacing the floor harness. This violates FMVSS 209 (seat belt safety standards). •Rear differential/ESC fault (DTC C1851-18): The differential shows signs of prior impact damage, metal shavings were found in the fluid, and the gearbox must be replaced. This affects AWD and electronic stability control (ESC), which is federally required under FMVSS 126. These issues were not disclosed by the selling dealer. The vehicle was sold “as-is,” but selling a car with a defective seat belt and ESC system creates a major safety hazard. Repairs are estimated at $8,692.92 on a vehicle with less than 2,000 miles. This vehicle is unsafe to drive and should never have been sold in this condition. The vehicle was purchased from Central Autohaus, Dallas, TX, on [XXX]. The dealer only disclosed an airbag replacement but did not disclose the seat belt defect or impact damage to the power train/ESC. The 2023+ Honda CRV hybrid model have paddles on the steering wheel that increase and decrease the strength of regenerative braking. I use this feature often on our 2024 hybrid model. The issue arises when increasing the strength to the second or third (highest) level. The braking force at these levels should trigger the brake lights to illuminate, but they do not. Often I see drivers brake late behind me because my vehicle is braking with noticeable strength, but the driver behind me can’t tell. So they slow late and very close to my vehicle’s rear bumper. Honda should recall the hybrids and retrofit the brake lights to activate when regenerative braking is increased to the second or third level. Just as Tesla brake lights activate when their regen braking system works by releasing the accelerator, Honda’s should activate when turned up to the higher levels.

Honda case#: 15542096. Rear camera will go black and white intermittently. Rear camera replaced under warranty at under 6k miles 9/25/25, however, problem still persists randomly. Attached pics on 3/22/25 and 4/2/25 are examples of this issue I witnessed and obtained photo of. Dealership says they cannot duplicate and cannot proceed forward with repair or diagnosis on 3/18/25 RO#377440 with just under 15k miles. No rhyme or reason for random occurrences other than seems to happen when weather changes drastically (cold or rain). It's a safety issue because black and white is a deviance from normality and it is not discerning enough with the low quality resolution camera used to prevent backing up into someone or something. Color helps the eye discern shapes, people, and things better protecting objects from damage and life from harm. Honda and the dealership so far has refused to take action or solve even though the car is under warranty.

We were driving on [XXX] . Lane keep assist and cruise control were active at the time of the incident. We were driving in the leftmost lane when suddenly we heard a loud thud noise and the tire immediately went 90 degrees causing us to lose steering control. The vehicle went from the left lane into the shoulder, making contact with the side barrier on the highway with the tire as first point of contact. We immediately attempted to regain control of the vehicle and managed to steer it out of the barrier and slowly come to a skidding stop in the shoulder area. Multiple suspension components damaged, possibly transmission, wheel damaged, ball joint and axle damaged, left front strut, strut mount, strut bearing, and upper spring seat damaged. We got it fixed for the first time for 6.1k then they wires another fix for the back wheel because the entire wheel and more parts were damaged and they want to fix it for 1k more. and then today I got another quote for 1.3k for the strut. I have a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid AWD Sport model. On two occasions within the past 3 months, I have attempted to start the car, but when I did so, the dashboard lights, including all the error indicators lit up and flashed, the alarm went off, and I couldn't drive the car. In both cases, I called Roadside Assistance. While waiting for the tow truck, we were able to shut off the car and alarm by putting the car into "accessory mode," (pushing the ignition button without a foot on the brake.) But when we then tried to start the car normally (pushing start button with foot on brake) the electrical light show resumed and alarm started up all over again. Both times this happened, by the time the tow truck arrived (1-2.5 hours) the car had "rebooted" so we just drove home. The first time this occurred, the Honda dealer had just performed the recall repair to the steering gear box 2 days before the first electrical failure.

While stopped at a red light I thought a car was rolling back into me. I took my brain a hot second to realize maybe I was rolling forward into him? But no, I told myself, my foot was on the brake and was pushing as hard as I could once I thought it was me (yep, should have hit the parking brake, but it all happened super-fast). I rolled into him, the light turned green and he pulled ahead, I got aside him rolled window down to ask if his vehicle was standard as I was still convinced he rolled back into me. Needless to say he said no and pretty much ripped me a new asshole for tapping him - I apologized and said "i thought you rolled into me". Brake hold is always on but I was not using the hold, my foot was on the pedal (pushing like a madwoman at one point).

My driver's side mirror spontaneously cracked. There was no damage done to the mirror that would cause this to happen. The mirror was intact when I pulled into my garage. An hour later I left again and the side mirror was cracked top to bottom. It is not difficult to get a non- distorted view out of my driver's side mirror and I feel it impacts the BSI as well. I have an appointment on 3/20 for inspection at the dealer. There were no issues prior to this happening. My photos show that there are no nicks, scratches or anything around the mirror at all. Also the mirror is not shattered, it's simply a clean crack down the middle.

The contact stated that the failure occurred twice while her young daughter was occupying the front passenger’s seat. In addition, while starting the vehicle, the door ajar warning light illuminated. Description of incident: Saturday, [XXX] I was in traffic on I [XXX] near the [XXX] exit in Indiana. It was a stop/go, stop/go event as 6 lanes were going down to 1 lane. I was behind a Kroger semi-truck. I had my foot on the brake. I thought the people next to me had started to move, but then I noticed that I was getting closer to the truck (while my foot was on the brake). I pushed the brakes down further. I felt normal resistance. Nothing happened. I hit the cancel button of the adaptive cruise multiple times on my steering wheel thinking that perhaps my adaptive cruise started my movement. I kept rolling. Kept hitting the brakes wondering why I didn't stop. No beeps went off like they normally do. I rolled into the truck. My adaptive cruise had been set to 70, and I had used it before the incident. It was still on standby, but not green. My odometer was around 9547. This happened around 9:50am. No beeping sounds started or emergency braking happened. I would approximate my speed of hitting around 3-5 mph. I hit the truck. I had tried to switch to neutral and then to park. I could not move the gear shaft. I was hitting the brake hold. Anything to make me stop. Nothing worked, and I hit the truck. I did not move after hitting the truck, maybe one of the things I attempted to do worked. My foot was still on the brake. I pulled over, turned off the car, and restarted it. I have not applied the adaptive cruise since then. I don't know if it had anything to do with the incident, but I'm afraid to use it. If I had been moving at a faster rate, my safety and others would have been at risk. I took the car to the dealership. They provided me with a Honda multi-point vehicle inspection checklist and stated that they couldn't find anything wrong. There is definitely something wrong. The Honda dealership replaced the steering gear box as required by the recent recall. After picking up my vehicle, I noticed that the Blindspot alert system was not working. The cross traffic monitor was not working. The side mirror was not beeping nor lighting up. The arrows and beeping did not occur when vehicles were driving behind me while in reverse. It appears that the sensors/radar had been disconnected or disabled although the dash settings show that they are on. After taking the vehicle back, the dealership lied and said that my 2024 Honda CRV EX had never been equipped with those sensors. They were working perfectly fine before I took the vehicle in. The dealership is denying fraudulent activity and jeopardizing the safety equipment of my vehicle and the safety of myself and others. I bought the EX model specifically because of those standard features. Honda should repair and replace any damaged or removed sensors as a result of the dealers errors and fraudulent activity.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact's daughter attempted to make a left turn while at a stop light; however, the steering wheel failed to operate as needed. Due to the failure, the contact's daughter lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an electrical pole. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. While the contact's daughter suffered emotional distress due to the accident; she did not sustain any physical injuries. A police report was filed. Due to the accident, the vehicle was initially towed to an independent tow lot; the contact then called the dealer who referred the contact to an independent body shop. The vehicle was towed to the body shop where the contact was informed that the steering gearbox worm wheel was defective and was given an estimate for the repair. The contact was later informed that a recall had been placed on the vehicle for NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering). The independent mechanic referred the contact to the dealer for assistance; however, the dealer offered no assistance. The contact was then referred to the manufacturer and was given a case number. The contact had made numerous attempts to reach the manufacturer about the failure but had yet to receive a response. The vehicle remained in the possession of the independent body shop and had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

I leased a 2024 CR-V Sport Hybrid in April 2024. And in early October I backed out of a parking spot. When I applied the brakes there was no response and I back into a parked car. No damage was done to it but I had an estimate of $2000.00 to mine since it was on the hatch back door. I didn't report it because I thought it was my fault. But on Friday Nov. 29, 2024 as I was parallel parking I reversed into the spot and straighten out my vehicle. I put it into gear and started moving forward about six feet slowly. When I went to apply the brakes nothing happened again and I hit my wife’s car in front of me. The CR-V Owners Club has reported a similar incident.

1. my car has steering wheel gearbox recall. I contacted the dealership where I purchased the car in "Phillipsburg Easton Honda" but they vaguely answered me saying that they don't have the part to repair it and will let me know when they have. Without telling me any time frame to repair it. 2. The gate door malfunctions when trying to open it manually from outside using the rubber handle on the gate door. It is randomly happens, not always. 3. Lane departure warning malfunctions and in many occasions I received warning and steering wheel shakes when I drive inside the lane.

I had the vehicle parked, when I returned and started the vehicle the steering wheel wouldn’t move to either direction it was locked. When I placed the vehicle in drive it started to back up. I still could not move the steering wheel. I placed the vehicle back into park, waited 3 to 4 seconds to analize the situation. I again placed the vehicle in drive and it would go in reverse altho in drive. I shut the car off waited a few seconds & I restart it. Now the steering wheel moved normally and when put in drive it went forward. My concerns are the vehicle steering wheel would not move & when placed in drive it would go in reverse.

All driving assistance features (Lane Departure, Adaptive Cruse Control, ABS and other sensing components) , warning flashing on dashboard and within a second of this message speed drastically reduced to 20mph from whatever speed on running. It does not allow me to escalate but after some time it escalates on its own. Due to reduce of speed suddenly puts me, co- passengers and other vehicles behind on risk of collision or even risk of life and same time unexpected escalation makes driver lose control. These incidents happen thrice even after service center says it fixed. This problem is reported to service center and Honda customer care. Currently the vehicle is with dealer service center.

The Honda of Downtown Chicago dealership has informed us that there is a fuel injector problem with this vehicle. On 8/11/24 it caused the vehicle to cycle through a series of errors before it stopped accelerating on the highway with our young son inside, and eventually stopped moving altogether after we were able to get off on an exit. When the car failed, we were given a final Power System warning. It should be noted that we took the vehicle to the Honda of Downtown Chicago dealership months prior for a the same kind of warning lights (Emissions warning, Lane Departure warning, etc) and a very loud rumbling noise. At that time, the servicing team at the dealership DID NOT disclose that it was or could be a fuel injector issue. Instead, they said that the computer just needed to be “reset” and that the rumbling could be attributed to the vehicle being a hybrid. At this time, the vehicle is with the Honda dealership for repair. They have not provided a timeline for repair or provided a loaner car.

My vehicle had about 5,000 kms on it. I was driving back home from work where suddenly as I was driving the car started popping up a whole bunch of error messages saying power reduced go see your dealer, electric power steering assist problem go see your dealer, emissions system problem go see your dealer and much more. The care went into a limp mode where I couldn’t go faster than 30-40km/h if I recall correctly. This was very dangerous as I was on the highway and this was during winter. My drive to work in the morning there was no problem at all.

Recently, I had a flat tire. Our 2024 CR-V Hybrid does not have a spare. The tire inflator/sealant did not repair the flat. We were two hours away from home on a Saturday afternoon, and no tire repair shops were open. We had the car towed to the nearest tire repair shop and left for the rest of the weekend since no repair places were open Sunday. Monday we drove two hours to get the car. The tire was able to be repaired. If the tire could be repaired why wasn't the sealant able to repair the tire? We live in Utah, and we were lucky to have been as close to a repair shop as we were. Without a spare tire and an inflator/sealant that is unable to repair the tire with a simple hole, this car is unsafe to drive.

When putting the car in reverse, the rear camera image is usually black and white instead of color, which is unsafe because of the lack of contrast. It will also strobe between black and white and color, which is also unsafe and annoying. I took it to the dealer today (All Star Honda in Abilene TX) and they said Honda knows about the problem but doesn't have a fix yet. I've looked online at the Honda CR-V Owners Group and Redditt and see many complaints posted...so I'm guessing NHTSA knows about it, but just wanted to make sure....and I want my brand new car defect fixed....and I want Honda to stop manufacturing cars with this known defect.

The electrical components that failed or malfunctioned include the lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, collision mitigation system, and adaptive cruise control. These systems are critical for safe driving, and their malfunctions put safety at risk by causing unintended lane departures, inability to avoid collisions, and failure to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. The issue was confirmed by a dealer during the first service visit, but subsequent visits did not reproduce the problem, despite new pictures showing recent issues with visible mileage. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others. Error messages appeared on numerous occasions while turning on the car or operating it.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving uphill at 10 MPH, the "Brake Issue, contact dealer" "Brakes Needs Servicing," warning message illuminated. The vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into a tree. The air bags did not deploy. The contact injured their head on the steering wheel. The contact also received bruises to their neck and knees that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was able to be driven the short distance home. The contact then stated that they later had the vehicle towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery had failed, however, they did not provide a diagnosis for the brake failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,024.

Honda has all these controls on their steering wheel that can accidentally be turned on, even while driving, and have any of those adaptive functions suddenly start working. For example, twice already I was driving and somehow the "Lane Keeping Assistance" turned on. My steering wheel was shaking and I couldnt control it, get it to stop. It frightened me & the first time I pulled over on the side of the road thinking my cars tie-rods have broken. It did it again last night and I was really frightened. My husband reached over & turned it off. He said I must have turned it on while holding the steering wheel. I had another function "Lane Depature warning" turn on when I was trying to switch lanes. I was fighting with the steering wheel. The paddles on the wheel are also a hazard. I reached for the turn signal & hit a paddle. I dont know what the hell these do & I was freaking out thinking what did I just turn on now that we make me lose control of the car. These functions should not be something that can be turned on once the car is started. I have never had any issues with cruise control on any car I own. I really do not like this car. I'm scared. I will need to drive my husbands mercedes because I fear the Honda CRV. I cant return the car. How many people have been in accidents or killed because they functions can turn themselves on without the driver knowing they did. This is not a nuisance, this is a accident waiting to happen. Please, something needs to be done. I spent $40K on a disaster. Thank you

When we complaint in the Police station , this issue is mainly with Honda Vehicles. Seems to be less security in the Honda vehicles. While driving on the highway, my daughter experienced an issue that caused her to lose the ability to steer the vehicle. The vehicle went off of the road and into a guardrail causing damage to the left side of the car. Prior to losing the ability to steer, she thought she felt some strange shaking. Thankfully, she was not hurt and did not collide with any other vehicles. The situation could have ended much worse than it did. The vehicle is currently at the dealership being inspected. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the incident. The issue seems very similar to other issues that we have read about affecting 2024 CRVs and other Honda models that cause difficulty steering. Much like the issues we read about, this was a new vehicle with low mileage and during winter months.

My CR-V Lane Keep Assist will pull my vehicle one way or the other jarringly violently, and will overcorrect itself the rest of the time. The result being that I have nearly totally stopped using the feature. Recently, though, I have noticed a sticking point just off of dead center when steering in either direction- at any speed. The worst part of this issue is that it causes turning to be unsmooth because the wheel doesn't turn smoothly. At any speed, I can notice the weighting of the steering wheel when I hit the (replicatible) sticking point- and then it is as if the vehicle "skips a few steering teeth" because it cause the wheel to turn a little more quickly as if to catch up to where I had intended to point the tires. This issue has persisted to the point that I googled to see if other owners were having this issue, and that's when I discovered that NHTSA had added the 2023 CR-V to an existing complaint involving Honda Civics with the same steering components. I wish to lodge my complaint in the hopes of making Honda and the NHTSA aware that this issue is also affecting 2024 CR-Vs. I am extra frustrated because I feel like my front suspension/steering components are clunking where that was not an issue over the early life of the vehicle. For reference, I have put 13000 miles on the vehicle since purchasing 07/27/2023.

This hybrid model does not display red brake lights during regenerative braking, at any of the settings. I have have had two occurrences where the driver behind me was apparently not aware that my vehicle was slowing somewhat rapidly, and thus nearly drive into the back of my vehicle. One of those drivers mentioned that they did not see any brake lights even though I was slowing down, approaching an intersection. I can see how this might be a safety issue. IF Tesla can have this function on their cars software then why cannot Honda? My vehicle also has times when I am travelling on straight city streets with no traffic in front of me, where the automatic emergency braking come on quite firmly for a second or two, without any apparent reason. Again, this presents a possible safety hazard to the vehicles behind me who may be following a little closer than they should, and may possible drive in to the back of my vehicle. Again, I am not aware of any brake lights present on my vehicle when this happens. A big improvement would be in the manner in which the radar sees things and makes false applications of this braking system, as well as having teh vehicle brake lights activate when this system decides to engage.

I got in the car this morning and noticed what looked like a condensation drip at the top of my passenger side mirror. By the time I got to work, a full length crack was down the mirror. I pulled my cameras and nothing touched my mirror over night. I did a google search and others are reporting similar issues. this has a direct affect on visibility while driving. Given other complaints found this is a known issue, then Honda needs to do a recall.

The steering wheel seems to get stuck for a little bit and the release by itself, not fully stuck but feels like sticking and sometimes pushes my itself now this is with all the features off including lane departure and lane keep it’s feels like the power steering is failing, and the car also vibrates over 60 miles and makes noise when on a round about Turning left, the dealership is not helping.

I put my Honda CRV Hybid away in my garage while it was running on battery power. It is silent when not in gear and operating on battery power. The key fob was in the car. I forgot to shut off the power switch before getting out of the car. When the battery drained, the engine started, filling the garage with exhaust, creating an extremely dangerous, and perhaps life threatening condition.

The car makes loud noise when the speed was about 50-60 MPH on a highway, the RPM went above 50 - 75. It wouldn't accelerate as I pushed the gas pedal. It's not moving as required. It was scary. It's dangerous. Something is wrong with the system, or transmission. Please fix it. Thanks.
