My vehicle multipurpose camera unit failed. The entire advanced driver assistance system shut down and stopped working. This error randomly appeared. My vehicle has 48,000 miles on it. I received error codes for each of the components that they were not working. This meant no adaptive cruise control, no automatic emergency braking, no blind spot warning, no forward collision warning, no lane departure warning, no lane keeping assistance, no parking collision warning, no rear cross traffic warning. My safety was put at risk as the components that provide safety warnings were not operative. I took the car to my Honda service shop and they provided the following diagnostic: [Other]: Verify customer concern that theirs multiple lights on on the vehicle, then check for codes notice theirs code for U3000-49 multipurpose camera unit/ millimeter wave radar internal electric failure. Then disconnect one of the connectors for sensor to single one out to see if when clear the code to see if stays on or not, after clearing the code lights still came on and code pop on. Recommend start first replacing with a new multi purpose camera, and retest. I paid for the repair as it needs fixed for safety purposes. The cost was $1,950.00. Honda should be responsible for covering this as it is some type of camera malfunction and the vehicle is only 3 years old.

Car brake warning pops up on dashboard when there is no object directly in front of the car. This occurs when there is oncoming traffic in another lane and it has happened when I am going over train tracks. It's as if the concrete curb is in front of me. My car has never stopped abruptly. This has happened over the last few years. I was unaware to report it. I did bring it up to the dealer but they didn't seem to understand.

The vehicle mistakingly thinks it recognizes an obstacle, and wrongly activates the brakes and forward collision warning. This recently occurred during highway driving with no apparent obstacles multiple times. Also (maybe related) when using adaptive cruise control, rather than adapt to a slower vehicle’s speed in-front of it, the Honda Pilot applies strong pressure on the brakes to adjust its pace. In other cars I’ve driven (Tesla, Subaru, Volvo, Chrysler, Kia) the response is a much more delicate “throttle release”. However, the Pilot mostly applies throttle or aggressively applies the brakes in situations that are very predictable and do not require the brakes to be applied. The result is an aggressive/frantic behavior, not adaptive. I keep the car/safety sensors clean and free of obstacles, decals, etc.

While driving on a road with a slight curve, the vehicle will detect an oncoming vehicle in the opposing lane and activate the automatic emergency braking system.

Vehicle repeatedly has applied emergency braking in situations where it should not have been applied. Generally, the problem is most likely to occur on two-lane roads with oncoming traffic and a bend to the right as viewed as I am driving. This has also occurred, to a lesser extent, on the highway when a car immediately in front slows and changes lanes to the right (as would be done to exit the highway). In this case, it seems like the system is too slow to recognize that the vehicle has changed lanes.

The auto stop - start when idle shuts off the vehicle and then does not auto start when lifting off the brake. This has happened 3 times on the road and is incredibly dangerous as you are left immobile until you are able to wait and restart the engine manually

Problem with Auto idle stop mechanism. There was an event of no restart after the auto start/stop engaged. There have been several issues with it over time. For a while it cut out completely until we got a new car battery. Especially in the past 3 weeks the car has hesitated to start after a stop. Then, yesterday, [XXX] it failed to start creating a traffic hazard. We were at a red light and once green, I removed my foot from the brake and it would not start. Traffic was approaching behind us and it was a dangerous situation. It was stressful for me, the driver as well. After putting the car into several gears and pressing the start button twice, it eventually started. A display messages appeared only when the car would not start. I believe it said to put the car into neutral. If the car failed to start, it would have been stuck at a major intersection posing danger to ourselves and fellow drivers. Previously, when the feature stopped working, we reported the issue to our local Honda dealer and they did not offer a solution but said there are a number of factors that could cause it to not operate. We didn't mind it wasn't working because we loathe it. Later we purchased a new battery and it started working again. Also previous to [XXX], we updated the software system. We were aware that there was an update for this issue. To ensure we have the update, I checked it again, today, 8-10-2025 and our software was up to date. We (my wife and I) were so alarmed by yesterday's operation failure that we are considering getting rid of the vehicle. However, we don't want to pass the problem onto someone else. We are petitioning that this become a bulletin or recall fully covered by Honda. We see that similar 2016 to 2021 vehicles are under a bulletin. Honda is aware of the issue since 2016. 2022 Honda Pilot should be included. The software update did not resolve the issue. Please escalate from investigation phase to a mandatory Honda fix. TY! As I understand it from a law firm, other Honda Pilot owners have filed complaints with the NHTSA the following which is an EXACT description of what is occurring on our Pilot. Ref: 25V-031. Our problem is that there is about a “2-5 second hesitation” or “delay in acceleration” where the engine seems to “bog down for a few seconds before it ‘kicks in’ and then there is a ‘surge of power.’” This surge of power causes a rapid acceleration where the vehicle “jumps forward at a rapid rate.” I took this to Honda two years ago after we first purchased it and they said that "All vehicles are made this way now." This has proven "very dangerous" when trying to do a 3-point turn or a u-turn in traffic. I'd be happy to demonstrate this with someone if they want to ride along so they can see for themselves. I checked your site but it says there aren't any recalls for my vehicle. Problem is, Honda told me the same thing two years ago so if it isn't on your site, appears that it isn't a problem for them. Please help look into this before someone in my family or someone else's gets hurt.

Continental Cross Contact Sport LX 245/50 R20 102H tire was faulty. It blew out while I was driving my 2022 Honda Pilot at Hwy speed approx 60 mph. Nothing in the road and other cars in front of me had no unusual avoidance of debris or pot hole. The right rear tire simply loudly popped and deflated quickly. Very dangerous, lucky it was a rear tire. All 4 tires had less than 1500 miles, basically new to me. Honda installed a new rear tire at no charge. I'm now worried about the other 3 tires as this was a previous problem with Continental tires in 2020.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster failed to function as intended. The contact stated that the instrument cluster displayed a black screen, and no safety features were displayed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. In addition, the contact noticed an unusual popping sound. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The independent mechanic unofficially diagnosed the failure as faulty cables. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to bring the vehicle in for diagnostic testing and provided the fee for the diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact referenced an unknown recall which had a similar failure description; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under a recall or special program. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

While driving, the dashboard displays (in front of driver and center screen as well) went completely black for 2-3 minutes. Although they eventually came back on, driver lost the ability to determine speed, as well as get any other relevant info while operating the vehicle. There were no prior warnings that it would happen.

I have a 2022 Honda Pilot Sport that has recently been fixed from a recall. I have supporting documentation regarding the fixes that I will attach here. I use this car for Turo so it is currently unlisted but if I get this cleared then my vehicle will be relisted again. The VIN and date is all included in the PDF files attached.

While driving my car braked, would not drive and a warning for transmission presented on warning board. The vehicle would not shift into park, reverse, neutral, or drive. I could not move it from impeding traffic. It nice I factory reset the vehicle was fine again.

About five weeks ago I decided I was going to take my kids to the park. Well, when we got there our vehicle wouldn’t go out of park and was stuck with a check engine light on and an emission light on. So, we had to tow it to Honda and they didn’t have a loaner vehicle for us while they were diagnosing the vehicle so we were without a vehicle for three days and then was called by Honda to come get the car that they cleared the check engine light and it’s drivable. Was told we would need a new transmission if the car check engine light comes on again. So, of course the light comes back on the next day. I don’t believe it needs a new transmission. No signs that it does. So I called the dealership and they wouldn’t answer , all departments went to voice mail. So, I called Honda corporate, and they wouldn’t answer next day thw dealership calls me asking me when I can bring the car back up there. So I brought it up there and got into a loaner this time for three weeks now. Was told last week our car is good to go and I can come pick it up and once I got there the check engine light and emission light was still on so they lied to us The corporate office won’t approve a good will transmission because of documentations that they should already have but don’t. And Duval Honda told us to bring the loaner back or they are gonna report it as an unauthorized use of the vehicle which we prolly put me in jail so I asked the gm at Duval Honda if he can at least extend it till the in of the week so we can figure something out since we have jobs and kids and no way of any transportation that he is gonna put us on the streets far as walking and he could careless and told us to get a rental car and if we don’t turn the car in then he will report it. So now we are car less. This car is a lease and we never missed a car payment and we had a car before this one which was a lease and never missed a payment as well. We are forced to walk while we still make car payments.

On several occasions the Pilot lost power and decreased speed at an alarming rate while I was accelerating to merge on to the interstate creating serious safety problems. The transmission completely died while I was stopped on the roadside 1200 miles from home in a remote area. It took 2 weeks for the local dealer to acquire and install a new transmission.

Since we purchased our 2022 Honda Pilot three months ago, two VERY important things have happened to me and I am still wondering WHY the Honda engineers did not catch these things. Or if they did, why did they allow it to make it to production??? I cannot say if the NHTSA would consider this a malfunction but it should definitely be considered a dangerous function especially to an unaware driver. Our vehicle is available for inspection if you want me to show you what I mean. I am taking this vehicle to the dealer this Saturday to be inspected for these reasons. Problem #1: If you need to do a 3-point turn in the middle of the road above a certain speed and you need to do it fast, forget about it. There seems to be about a 3 to 4 second lag between the time you make the first turn, push the reverse button, and hit the gas to make the Pilot go in to reverse. The same for when you switch to drive to go forward. When there is oncoming traffic, this is some scary shit! Here you are, in the middle of the road trying to go back and the darned vehicle is just sitting there not moving for 3-4 seconds. To make it even scarier, you get to repeat the process over again when trying to go forward all the while cars are coming in your direction. I am like "What the hell is this?" Problem #2: Some rocket scientist decided it was a good idea to put the transmission speed changer (D2, D3) on a piece of plastic that is located just behind the left side of the steering wheel. Great idea! At least until you accidentally grab it while driving down the road at 70 or 80 miles per hour and the transmission decides to go into that gear and make all sorts of terrible noises. This not only scared the shit out of me but also my wife and kids. For an inexperienced driver, I suspect this could cause the driver to do something erratic and in turn cause an accident. So while driving at 70 down the highway, the only way I could figure how to keep from burning up the transmission and get it back i

I have owned this vehicle since September 2021. Recently see a recall on engine stalling on Honda Pilot 2023-2025 model years. I have had this happen , engine stalling, twice on my 2022 Pilot. Reported the first incident to Honda dealer service and they said might be related to a software glitch, didn't think of it as any problem even though engine warning signal came on and I had to pull off the highway and stop engine and restart after several minutes. That solved the issue. Most recently this January the same thing happened again, lost power and engine light came on. Again I had to pull off the highway as I had no power to go over 30-35mph, could not resume speed limit to 55mph. What is most peculiar about this is that it happened at the same place as the first tome as I turned left from the highway.

Noticed rattling/knocking noise roughly in the area behind glove box around 1000-2000rpm or under load (e.g. driving uphill) when I took possession of vehicle around 18k miles. Had multiple shops/mechanics insist it was normal driving sounds. Noise became louder and more consistent. A Honda mechanic suspected a connecting rod bearing failure after a test drive and indicated it MIGHT be covered under recall. Took back to Honda dealership where technician found copious metal shavings in oil pan and irreparable crankshaft damage. Confirmed that this VIN is NOT currently covered by a recall. Recommended replacement with short block or USED engine.

Car alarm going off randomly when locked. When car is near fob and turned off the head unit will randomly turn on and off rapidly, appears to be a smart power module failure. This has been going on intermittently since 50k miles. Most recently today, I had to disconnect the battery to make it stop.

I brought my Honda Pilot 2022 AWD on September 2022 with Captial Expressway Honda, San Jose. Since then, my Honda Pilot went dead twice in less than a year. The first time was in December 2022; I had Geico jump my battery. The second time was in June 2023; my Honda Pilot went completely dead with all the error codes. The incident started on June 25, 2023; I was on vacation for 3 weeks and returned with a dead car. The lack of customer service and the unprofessional Yvonne Liao at Capital Honda blamed me for not driving enough. She stated that the Honda Pilot must drive more because the computerized system drains the battery. Instead of admitting manufacture defect and recall, Yvonne blamed the customer for not driving enough and started arguing with me.

245 /50 R20 : size My dealership told me I needed to change all my tires and provided pics showing pieces of my tires (3 tires) missing. This was present in all 3 of the original tires- same dot and sizes. The 4th tire has already been replaced. My Honda pilot mileage is 29000 miles, purchased new in November 2021. My pilot is garage parked and is not often exposed to the elements for long periods of time.

CONTINENTAL CROSS CONTACT LX SPORT 245/50 R 20 102H M.S. RADIAL TUBELESS Vehicle was parked after a ride on Thu 11/23 with no problems. Vehicle was parked in a apartment lot with no issues previous night. Next day morning on 11/24, Rear Passenger tire is deflated fully with no air. Upon checking there are 2 cracks observed on the sidewall of the tire with no air left. There was no accident or any sidewall curb hit at all. Tires are faulty and the same issues have been observed with previous recalls with the same brand and model/size [XXX]

Sunroof exploded while driving at a normal rate of speed with no cars surrounding us. Upon inspection, there was no debris within the roof hold that would denote a rock or something causing incident. We jumped a lane but no cars were around. All occupants were safe.

Vehicle hatch door window seal and door seal allowed water to collect inside the door. When the door was later opened, the water that collected in the door rushed inside the vehicle and began leaking heavily from behind the interior trim panels at the rear of the vehicle near the hatch door opening.

Our familly was driving down the highway on vacation when there was a very loud noise. I was in the passenger seat and looked back to see large pieces flying off of the car. When we got to a safe place to pull over, we noted that the trim at the bottom of the door, both front and rear had come off of the car. Had we been on the very busy freeway, which we had been a few minutes earlier, these large pieces flying into the air could have hit another vehicle or frightened a driver causing them to cross lanes trying to miss these pieces. The incident was reported to the call center and we were told that it was a known manufacturing default. The dealership denied that there was a manufacturing default and was unsure why we were told that. There was no warning of this incident about to occur. The dealership agreed to repair the vehicle as a "good will" offer.

The brake pedal is unusually soft/spongey. Brakes does not engage until pedal travels further impairing vehicle's ability to make a prompt emergent stop and increasing the risk of a crash or injury. The dealer could not verify or confirm the problem on two occasions. However, the dealer never inspected the brake master cylinder connection to the brake booster assembly; the vehicle was not determined a subject of the NHTSA Safety Recall 23E-040 or/and NHTSA Safety Recall 23V-458. The problem first appeared on 02/03/2023 and was reported to the dealer on 02/04/2023 before the issuance of these two safety recalls mentioned above. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure other than the aforementioned unusual brake pedal softness. The subject vehicle is available for inspection.

Additionally, while operating the vehicle, the brake lights would randomly flash on and off. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. SUV(Honda Pilot 2022) continues to brake. and lose power after brake pedal has been released causing unsafe and un controlled stopping. ( No warning lights or errors ) We have almost been rear ended do to this. Taken back to dealer to repair after only 200 miles on SUV. Dealer replaced antilock brake module. After repairs SUV seemed to brake normally for about one week then started doing the same thing again but way worse, to the point we didnt think we could make it home. The sticking brakes, loss of power to the SUV got so bad that it was unsafe to operate and was towed to the dealer awaiting another repair...in shop now two times with less then 500 miles for same exact safety issue. This braking issue could possibly cause serious accidents if not remedied soon. Hearing stories other 2022 Hondas are dealing with this issue as well....hoping no one gets seriously hurt if issue is left unaddressed

At a stop light and the car shifted to neutral and lost power, had to restart car. This happened twice, once on a busy road and we were almost rear-ended. Took the car to dealership they said the only thing they could find was that it needed a new battery. Changed battery and has not happened since. They said that likely the battery did not have enough power to power the auto stop/start feature so when I stopped the car lost power. I had no indication that the battery was low and never had a car with a low battery lose power in the middle of traffic. I feel like this is bad design and a potential safety hazard.

Vehicle has had issues of complete loss of power while driving and while awaiting at a light even with the fuel saving mode deactivated so that it wouldn't shut off at every stop. Looked for blown fuses,codes or any lose relays but everything appeared good. Both days were clear one day the temperature was 35 degrees and the other day it was 60 degrees the only date I remember is below. There was no crash but had traffic stopped since I couldn't get the vehicle to start at a very busy road and intersection. As a disabled person I can't be exposed to these unsafe conditions since I have serious medical conditions.

All of the following lights came while driving on and have stay on. LANE KEEP ASSIST ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL COLLISION MITIGATION. After some research, this looks to be a know problem for Honda.

The contact's daughter owns a 2022 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal rattling sound. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the rear sway bar bracket had fractured. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the rear sway bar bracket needed to be replaced. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Pilot. The contact stated while driving 5 MPH and making a turn, there was an abnormal loud banging sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that she looked around and could not determine the cause of the sound. The contact stated that she continued driving; however, the failure recurred while driving on several occasions. The contact stated that she pulled to the side of the road on the last occasion. The contact stated that her husband inspected the vehicle and noticed that the sway bar had fractured and was separated from the bracket on the rear driver's side. The contact stated that her husband tied the sway bar, and she was able to slowly drive to the dealer. The dealer informed the contact that the failure was due to a manufacturer defect and had occurred because the sway bar was not thick enough. The dealer then sent a claim with photos of the failure to the manufacturer, who approved the purchase of a new part and the repair of the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

The airbag warning light came on the 2022 Pilot Special Edition. The vehicle just hit 50,000 miles and has never been in an accident. The Honda dealership stated the SRS Control Unit had failed and needed to be replaced. I was told it was not safe to drive as the airbags may not deploy in an accident. The vehicle stayed at the dealership until the repair was done. Vehicle taken in on December 26, 2024.

Airbag Problem (SRS) light came on while driving. I had driven approximately 40 miles before light came on. Took it to dealership, who confirmed SRS control unit must be replaced. Vehicle has never been in an accident and no body work done to vehicle. Just outside of the 36 month/ 36,000 mile warranty.

The state investigator indicated that while the 2022 Honda Pilot was being driven by the owner, the accelerator pedal had malfunctioned and the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration. During the incident, the vehicle's speed had increased above 100 MPH. The driver was unable to stop or slow the vehicle when pressing the brake pedal or when activating the emergency brakes. A State Trooper Cruiser vehicle was used to forcefully ram into the side of the vehicle to make the vehicle reduce speed and eventually stop. During the incident, the driver sustained undetermined minor injuries. No further information was available. A police report was taken and the vehicle was towed to the local dealer. No further information was available. The manufacturer was not contacted by the investigator. The failure mileage was unknown.

The car accelerated brakes did not work or did not function. The. “Brakes “word (brown color ) flashed 2 x. I was going to work I parked on the upper level of the parking structure. AS I was doing rear parking I adjusted the car forward to align with the parking slot . As I moved the car forward it jolted and accelerated. The brakes was not working. The word “brake”. Flashed. 2 times . The car fell to the lower floor. I was fortunate as it was a Sunday no car nor pedestrian was in the lower level but the car beside where I fell suffered damages. I was brought to the emergency department . Paramedics and police were called. My ct of head neck abdomen and pelvis were negative. Ct of chest showed band like contusion comparable with seatbelt injury. I suffered from bruises to my left leg. Right breast lower abdomen. Left clavicle area. History wise: my Honda pilot lost all power on [XXX]. I had it towed to the Honda service center in Cerritos. I was told it was battery issue. Battery was changed A ,month after I crashed. I informed my insurance. I called Honda. They gave me a case number. But said it’s the insurance who will investigate. Per insurance Honda should do the investigation. The contact owns a 2022 Honda Pilot. The contact stated while reversing and attempting to park the vehicle, the contact became aware that the center display failed to display a rearview image, compromising the back-over prevention system. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the media-oriented system transport cable. The vehicle was not repaired. On July 8 2024 at approximately 0720 CST I was driving my vehicle on the freeway when I lost ALL acceleration and the car would NOT go above 70MPH. The car continued to decelerate while on the freeway in traffic. The RPM range was 7-8 while it was decelerating and then it went back to "normal" a few minutes later. I then continued my travel to work and about 5 miles away from my work it did it again ON THE FREEWAY. I was able to limp into the Honda Burleson Service Center and there were 3 warning lights on at this point. These warning lights are Brake System Warning Light, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem.

I leased a brand new 2022 Honda Pilot and after two weeks of leasing it developed a severe leaking problem with the transmission. The pilot was taken to a local dealer, the local dealer refused service. It was then taken to the original dealer, and the original dealer replaced the transmission. There was some sort of metallurgical fault or defect with the transmission casing, necessitating replacement of the entire transmission. The vehicle had less than 500 miles when this happened.

The ADAS camera has failed. It is extremely common. When it fails, all the lights for EVERY system of ADAS comes on. None of them work. And it is not possible to turn off. Furthermore it sets codes for the brakes and turns on the brake warning lights. So none of the brake assist systems work either. Honda refuses to warranty any of these systems when the camera fails. It is across their entire line of vehicles with ADAS. If they can’t build a functional system, it should not have the system. Also, the system functions extremely poorly, when it was operating. It will drive the vehicle, unassisted, down to 20 mph, then just shuts off and lets the vehicle coast, unguided. Also, if the cruise is set and lane keeping on, and it can’t find lane lines, particularly where lanes merge, it will often veer left, into oncoming traffic. I have tested both of these, when the system was functioning “correctly”. The cruise and lane keeping just shuts off, at any speed, and lets the car go where ever it would without input. It is extremely dangerous.

Every since I purchased my 2022 Honda Pilot, I have had soo many issues with the windshield chipping. I bought the car brand new. Within the first 6 months, I had a chip at the top right corner (passenger side) the ended up cracking all the way to the edge. I had to replace the windshield. Fast forward to within a year of the new windshield being in place, and I know have FOUR chips. All on the passenger side. Two near the bottom and two near the top right. I have asked Honda several times if there are issues with the windshields, and they claim there is not. I have asked about having my frame checked to make sure it wasn't a manufacturing issue, but have not, since they need the windshield off to look. I have been driving for over 20 years. I have NEVER had a chip in my windshield. I even had a 2018 Pilot - 0 issues.

All the sudden the lights in dash went off reading lane keep assist failure, adaptive cruise control failure, and automatic brake system failure. Nothing was working, lights stayed on, took to auto body shop, they said I need a whole new front windshield camera and for it be recalibrated, that will cost more than $2000. Honda is saying this isn’t under warranty or recall but it seems like it keeps happening to many Hondas when you look up the same problem so it should be a recall.

When I started my 2022 Honda Pilot Special Edition (VIN: [XXX] ) in a parking lot, the vehicle immediately behaved abnormally. As I attempted to turn into a space, the car unexpectedly accelerated and moved in an unintended direction. Despite pressing the brake pedal firmly, neither the standard brakes nor the automatic braking system responded. Shifting into Park did not stop the vehicle, and the transmission did not engage to hold the car. The vehicle continued moving through the parking lot, striking property and other vehicles. The entire event felt like a loss of braking and control, with both the brake system and gear selector failing to function as intended. This was a sudden and dangerous incident that could have caused serious injury. The Honda dealer has confirmed there are no open recalls or campaigns for my VIN, but the event aligns with reports of unintended acceleration and brake failure in other 2022 Honda Pilot vehicles. The camera on the windshield fails when then the windshield gets too hot when you are driving and causes the safety systems to stop functioning ( lane assist, blind spot, etc). See attached pictures. This is a major design flaw and Honda should recall and replace the cameras on all 2022 Honda pilots. I live in the desert in El Paso, Texas and this happens when you are driving . See my attached pictures that occurred at 83 degrees and 93 degrees, respectively. Please help me before there is a fatal injury.

The foreward collision warning is too sensitive and the alert message and steering wheel shaking are distracting. Especially driving on a two lane road, the forward collision messages occurs under normal driving situations. Simply a vehicle approaching in their lane in the opposite direction triggers the warning. You get a large orange box popping up on the dash screen which diverts your attention from the road to the screen. It's an obnoxious panic message. Also, the steering wheel shakes to alert you, which startles you. I fear the mechanism could malfunction and take over steering and cause an accident. I know how to drive and I don't need the absurd "assistance". I submitted another report for the auto idle problem. These driver assist things are horrid. They don't enhance the driving experience and seem to be items that unnecessarily tack on to the cost of purchasing a vehicle. We have complained to the Honda dealer and car mechanics about these matters. Regarding Forward Collision Warning, no resolution was provided. This is an ongoing problem and so an approximate date below is not applicable. Thank you Thank you.

Case 11655023 Hello, I need your help. I spoke with Honda and was told they would buy back my truck and someone would contact me. Mrs. Briana called and said I had to keep taking the truck to the mechanic as many times as needed. I explained I had already taken it 8–9 times, but she said it didn’t matter and that I should take it to another dealer. I had already gone to the Mission Valley dealership, showed the mechanic photos and videos, and he agreed something was wrong. I left the truck for 3–4 days, but they only changed the start button. I asked about the brakes, which were making noise, and was told it was “normal.” I insisted on getting them fixed, but they said if parts weren’t broken, Honda wouldn’t replace them. I spoke to the manager, who drove the truck with me and said they would adjust the brakes and fix the faulty fuel sensor. I brought it back on Wednesday, received a service receipt, but when I tried to leave, the truck wouldn’t start. I showed the manager a video of the issue, and he said they would fix it. I returned on Wednesday, left the truck again, and on Thursday a worker called saying the truck had no issues. I reminded them the manager had promised repairs, and they said he would call me. On Friday, I was told the truck had “bad luck,” nothing was wrong, and I should pick it up — or go to another Honda if I wasn’t satisfied.

The contact stopped in the middle of the street, and the driver behind the contact got out of the vehicle and informed the contact that he could have caused an accident. The contact stated that he was told by the other driver to take the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the battery was replaced; however, the failure persisted. On a separate occasion, while the vehicle was being driven at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to a dealer however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the shock absorbers were repaired, and the screen was repaired, and the transmission was inspected. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer; however, the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The contact stated that the brakes were making abnormal sounds. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.

2022 Honda pilot will have engine stall and will not accelerate while in motion. First time it happened was February 2024. Vehicle completely stalled in traffic and would no longer accelerate. Vehicle had to get pushed out of traffic and towed to Honda dealership. Honda service department replaced the transmission saying that was the issue and reason the vehicle engine was stalling. Vehicle has continually stalled but not as severe as the first time throughout the year of 2024. It is now 2025 and vehicle is progressively stalling more frequently. Honda says there is no recall for what is occurring to the 2022 Honda Pilot, but is now having the same engine stalling issue while in motion with their Honda Pilot 2023-2025 models having over 295,000 vehicles involved in a recall reported through National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. -Vehicle is available to inspection upon request. -Vehicle stalling at highway and rural speeds is placing driver, passengers and others at risk of collision. -Vehicle was taken into Honda Dealership in February 2024 and they replaced the transmission stating that was the issue but engine stalling it still occurring as of February 2025. -No warning lamps or messages appearing prior to engine stalling.

My name is [XXX] , I am the owner of a 2022 Honda Pilot, and the safety of this vehicle is now of great concern to me. My vehicle has done up to 35,000 mileages. On Friday, [XXX] as I was driving on the highway, this vehicle suddenly stopped without warning. All the lights on the dashboard came up and I received 5 messages indicating that the following had problems: Emission System, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Electric Power Steering, Transmission System, and Adaptive Cruise Control. This is a very dangerous and life-threatening hard stop that occurred in the middle of the highway, and I had to tow the vehicle to the DACARS Honda Dealership in Bowie, Maryland. I must state that my service history is up to date as of the time of this incident. The dealership carried out a diagnosis and confirmed all the problems from the messages that I received and agreed to fix them because the vehicle is still under Manufacturer's Warranty. I am really concerned about the safety of this vehicle and the lives of other owners and road users who may not be as lucky as I was on [XXX]. I recommend a very detailed safety evaluation on this Model of Honda and if possible, immediately instruct the replacement of all the safety problems/parts listed above pending the outcome of this investigation/evaluation, and ultimately instruct a recall of this model of Honda. My vehicle started making unusual noise when moving, noise appears like something is wrong with the tires, it sounds like there is a bubble in tire but there is none and this noise is audible inside while driving. We first noticed it when we took a trip to Kansas city few weeks ago and at that time my vehicle odometer was about 31600 miles only, Also to add to that when brakes are applied vehicle is not slowing down consistently, it will be like breaks are applied and release and applied and released. We believe that there is manufacturing defects with the parts as we have not abused our vehicle in any way and if we are right similar issues should surface with others vehicles as well.

Car abrupt stopped working while driving. All the lights on dashboard popped up with emissions warning on dashboard. The car was unable to start. Luckily for me I was in the neighborhood. This would have been very dangerous if I was on a highway or busy road. I had my children in the car. My vehicle was towed to the dealer who inspected it and said that my fuel pump needs to be replaced. A week prior the blind spot, emissions and transmissions light popped up and the car was semi drivable for me to make it to the dealer. I was told that it was my oil pressure switch that needed to be replaced just for my car to die 5 days later

We discovered that both right and left rear door locks were not operating properly in our brand new 2022 Honda Pilot Touring, preventing the passengers from being able to exit the vehicle. From the original purchase on Oct 27, 2022, the kids had complained of being unable to unlock and open the rear doors from inside the cabin. After continuing problems, I discovered that once the door locks had been locked electronically, either via the drivers side door switch or the key fob, it was impossible to manually unlock and open the right or left rear passenger doors. Again - the rear seat passengers were NOT able to exit the vehicle on their own. Once all doors had been unlocked electronically via the switch of key fob, then the rear doors could be manually locked and unlocked using the lock tabs by each door handle. We took the vehicle to the dealer on Nov 30, 2022 and they confirmed that the locks were not working properly. (Note at this time, the vehicle had already had the rear entertainment system fail and had been at the Honda World Westminster service facility for five (5) days for repairs and while they replaced the control unit) On Dec 2-3, Honda World Westminster service took 2 days to diagnose and repair the vehicle (now 7 days total in the shop), replacing both rear door lock assemblies (Right Rear Latch Assembly Part # 72610-T5R-A31; Left Rear Latch Assembly Part # 72650-T5R-A31). When we received the vehicle I asked what exactly had failed and how could both locks be inoperable on the new vehicle from the dealer, but they could offer no explanation other than poor quality control. I explained that this was more that simply bad parts, it created a serious safety concern as the rear passengers were essentially "trapped" in the rear seat area as they were unable to unlock and open the doors had they needed to exit the vehicle in an emergency. I also called Honda Corp. and advised of the issue, they created ticket # 13512638

When driving on highways and interstate the vehicle flashes BRAKE when the is no reason to brake. This happens multiple times per day, in my commute. The 2nd thing (and most dangerous) is the automatic braking. Several times on the interstate the car has done a HARD brake while travelling at high speeds, only there wasn’t a reason for it No other vehicles were in front of us at the time. It has also happened several times on the state road that we drive daily. It’s not. I have contacted Honda and have note heard back as of yet. This is a very dangerous and possibly fatal flaw. The issue is definitely ongoing.

On several occasions, while driving, my vehicle would not accelerate when I pressed the gas pedal. It stalls and then bursts forward. I have noticed that it is more prevalent when I drive off. I have taken my car to the dealer service center, and they said they could not replicate the issue. My vehicle is available for inspection upon your request.
