STEERING
12 complaints
Steering locked up with all warning lights lite up. No control over vehicle. Yes this put all people in the vehicle at risk of death or injury. This happened at an intersection while making a turn-no other vehicles were at the intersection- if there had been or had this happened entering an interstate highway or turning onto a high speed road could have been hit from several directions. Not repeated. Must have been confirmed by dealer as they hooked up the computer with Honda Headquarters and said the starter was at fault. No prior symptoms. It is available for inspection. Killing the engine and restarting cleared the dash lights and was able to turn afterwards.

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Pilot. While the contact’s wife was driving approximately 70 MPH, the steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn in either direction. The driver was able to forcefully steer the vehicle over to the shoulder. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the steering failure was self-corrected, and the vehicle operated normally. The driver was able to continue driving without any additional failures. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, and a service appointment was scheduled. The failure mileage was 8,000. The VIN was not available.

My steering is making loud clicking noises when turning the vehicle left or right at low speeds. It sounds like loud pops. It is especially prevalent once car has warmed up and driven. It is very prominent when reversing and turning the wheel or moving forward and turning the wheel and also when parked and turned the wheel left or right. I brought this to my dealership’s attention and they confirmed the issue and said it is a faulty clock spring so they replaced it. After they replaced it, the noise is still there. The clock spring was not the cause of the noise. I’m afraid this will become a major safety issue with preventing the ability of the steering wheel to operate safely.
Mar 18, 2026
I began driving the vehicle and the steering locked up. An error message presented stating that there was an issue with the steering and to see the dealer. This is a severe safety issue. Kids were in the car and this could have lead to a severe accident. It has been inspected and confirmed by Fox Honda Grand Rapids. There were no indicators/warnings prior to the incident.
Nov 28, 2025
The steering wheel malfunctions creating clicking and creaking noises when turning due to defective steering rack, clock spring, and more. I've taken the vehicle to 2 different Honda dealerships. They cannot fix the problem. One Honda dealership has refused to continue to try to fix the problem after multiple attempts. The dealership contacted Honda corporate field representative who told them to stop the repairs despite having a warranty and the problem continuing. This is a known problem impacting thousands of new Hondas.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

The collision mitigation breaking system has wrongly engaged the breaking system on two occasions since I have purchased the car in September 2025. The car is available for inspection. Both times, the car hard braked when turning right at stop sign. The second occurrence, today, 5/15/26 the car also honked. I plan to call the dealer tomorrow report the issue but from what I have read so far this is a known issue with no resolution and is not easy to replicate, therefore I am filing this complaint to document the issue. Both times this was very alarming for me. Today, there was another person at the stop sigh to my right and a pedestrian a bit a way when the car slammed to a halt and honked, alarming me and probably them as well. There was no warning or alert, the car just halted.

Driving around 60 mph and car flashed BRAKE on dash like it was to close to other vehicle and locked up brakes. Immediately went back to normal.
Mar 30, 2026
The contact owns a 2025 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving at 30-35 MPH, an abnormal alarm sound could be heard coming from the crash imminent braking system. The contact stated that the vehicle braked independently. The contact depressed the brake pedal. The contact stated that there were no vehicles in front. The message "brake" was displayed on the dashboard. The vehicle resumed functioning as intended afterwards. The contact sustained minor injuries, possibly whiplash. and neck pain. The contact was able to arrive at the residence without any incident. The contact stated that it was the third time the failure had occurred. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The automatic braking will brake unintentionally while driving on the highway or street. The vehicle will brake suddenly without warning. It will do this in all kind of conditions. It happens when there are no vehicles around as well. This is very scary and it has almost gotten us into accidents.
Nov 24, 2025
While driving through a construction zone on Route 81 at 55mph the car suddenly braked extremely hard to 30mph. It was very sudden and slammed me so my seatbelt activated. Fortunately no one was behind me. There was no one in front of me. Concrete lane barriers were on my left side. I have gone through this construction zone many times before and have never had this happen. If this had happened during a week day with traffic it would have caused a severe accident. The collision warning signal came on when the brakes suddenly engaged. I am scheduling an appointment with dealer to see what the cause was.

"On Friday afternoon, while driving alone on an open stretch of road at approximately 40 mph, my 2025 Honda Pilot's Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) experienced a catastrophic malfunction and initiated full emergency braking. The brakes locked up aggressively with absolutely no vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles present in front of me. A transient warning light flashed on the screen for a few seconds but disappeared too quickly to read. The violent deceleration slammed me forward against the driver's seatbelt, causing physical trauma. The brakes released after a few seconds, allowing me to regain control and park the vehicle. I sought medical care first thing Monday morning, resulting in a diagnosis of acute neck strain and petechiae, as well as necessitating a specialized cardiovascular evaluation to check my pacemaker function due to localized swelling under the seatbelt line. The vehicle is entirely unsafe to operate, has been parked in my garage since Friday and is currently awaiting a Honda Care tow truck for dealer transport and data retrieval."

This car on April 2nd, 2026 did not stop. I had pulled into a parking lot. Parked in the same space I have parked in for the last 12/13? Years. Upon driving into the space .. I pressed my brakes down for the car to stop. It did not stop. The car kept going/rolling My husband the passenger told me to STOP. I heard him plainly say. I told him I am stopping. But the car would not stop. It kept going and rolling into a brick building at the end of the parking space. We braced ourselves. What else do you do when your car won’t stop I was probably goingb8 mph. Nothing fast. Not on the phone. 75 degree perfect weather in [XXX] I’ve had this car about five months. No problem at all until this incident never in my life had I ever had brakes to fail me. Well the brakes failed. Technology is built by men and programmed by men. I am a nine car Honda owner. This car has a brake technology problem. With all the technology, it should have stopped on its own. It didn’t. When brakes are applied technology should work. In this case technology failed. This car has a brake defect technology problem. Brakes were applied a car doesn’t have to have a recall on it for it not to have a technology problem. These cars are not perfect. Programmed and built by human hands. ImnsurevifvMr. Soichiro Honda sat down with me and did this problem with one of his cars.. he would surely say” I’m sorry that happened to you” I’m sorry you’re brakes did not work and they did not . American Honda needs to recognize accountability. I wish they would experience what I experienced. It would be a scary situation that is if you survived yrs, I’m sure if it happened to them. No car is perfect. This one sure isn’t. I no longer am an owner of this 2025 Honda Pilot. Death trap it’s gone to somebody else. On April 2nd, 2026. I was driving this car into a parking space. I had to be going 5 mph. Or slower. Probably even slower. Pulling in.. I applied the brakes of course. The car wouldn’t stop. My husband/passenger told me to STOP. I did stop. This car kept rolling and crashed/smashed/ hit the brick red building in front of us. No brake hold was displayed.. no nothing. No brake stop. Nooooo nothing. The car wouldn’t stop. I never in my life have ever experienced this.

I just drove into a parking lot at First United Methodist Church parking lot. [XXX] ng a parking space very near. Driving into the space, applying brakes like I’ve done for the last 12/13 years….the car would not stop. I applied the brakes fully down to the floor( which I’ve never had to ever do at any time) the car kept going..rolling on. My husband the passenger told me” STOP”. I did stop. I was applying the brakes as soon as approaching the parking space. The car kept on going as I said. No warning like” brake hold” which has worked another other time when getting according to this cars brain..it would show some kind of warning. It did not. No sound, no nothing to brake the car. It rolled right into the red brick building i was pulling into. their parking space. The building has about a two foot gash on it. The car did this …what kind of car doesn’t stop. With all of the sophisticated sensors or etc. It has…why, what happened? My granddaughter was in the back right passenger seat. The impact caused a gash above her forehead. A real cut, mind you. I don’t know what else to see. I’ve never experienced this. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the Honda Sensing system misread roadway signs like JCT-190, and indicated that the speed limit was 90 MPH. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the dealer was aware that the functionality of the speed limit readings was not functioning properly. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 109.

At specific locations, the vehicle infotainment display will disconnect from a paired phone, causing the driver to lose GPS and phone based audio. This is distracting because you tend to look at the radio to see what the issue is. The unit automatically reconnects within ~60 seconds, however during that time the display instructs you to connect via a cable, which is distracting while driving. Additionally, connecting a cable does not solve the issue. I have attempted to connect my phone via a USB cable before the reset occurs, however when I pass these specific locations, the reset still occurs. The issue is repeatable and occurs at specific geographic locations, suggesting there are RF emissions in that location that cause Electro-magnetic Interference. The radio system that Honda uses appears to have a susceptibility to radiated emissions.

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving, the display on the instrument cluster was registering 75 MPH while in a 35 MPH zone. While the contact’s husband was driving on the highway, the speedometer registered 75 MPH in a 50-55 MPH zone. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case regarding the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 24,900.

We were exiting the off ramp heading North on [XXX], exit [XXX] and when we slowed to about 5 mph the car shut off completely. No electrical power and the car would not re-start. Heavy traffic was bearing down on us and we could not move. About 20 minutes later the power returned. It was the auto idle restart that malfunctioned, we believe. There was no warning. The situation was dangerous. We took it to the dealer in Vancouver, WA and they found no warning messages. They told us to take the car back and drive it and always manually turn off the auto idle restart and it would be safe. They said Honda temporarily suspended the engineering request until July 7, 2025 and until then we just wait. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

Adaptive cruise control fails nearly every time the car is driven more than 40 minutes with ACC activated. Failure indicated by warning lights and statement on DIC. DIC instructs operator to clean the front "H" emblem on grille, however, the emblem is always completely clean. The failure has been reported 4+ times to the dealership. Dealership reports the failure is a known problem and there is no fix available from Honda. Upon system shut down the vehicle disengages cruise control and has rapid deceleration causing unsafe driving conditions while in traffic. System usually resets itself without cleaning or other remedies within 10-20 minutes after fail, and will usually fail again +/- 40 minutes later. ACC is marketed as part of the Driver safety system and is unreliable. first occurrence was at 670 miles since new. Car now has < 10k miles and has failed 12+ times.

Some Drive Assist Systems cannot operate: Clean Area shown. This message keeps appearing without any weather factors or anything to cause it. Happens nearly daily while using adaptive cruise. Then the next day without doing anything (like cleaning area) it starts working.

This is an update to my previous entry regarding my 2025 Honda Pilot. The car dealership brought the Pilot back to us in February, 2025, stating there was nothing more they could do and told us it was unfixable. From February until current, we continue to experience the same safety concerns: We will be driving it on the highway, going 70 mph, the Pilot brakes hard to half its speed, and all safety features are disabled. Every single time we drive it. We are left with only the gas and brakes. It will randomly come back to full function, sometimes it takes 15 minutes, sometimes it's 45 minutes. This occurs in clear weather where nothing is blocking the radar. We are fearful that it's only a matter of time before we get hit from behind. There is no way to disengage the Adaptive Cruise Control in this vehicle and have standard cruise control. Honda has stated that it is not "unsafe enough" for them to help us. I never imagined I would spend this kind of money on a new vehicle and be fearful of driving it. And that there is no solution to fix it. They took our money and have been completely unethical.
Jan 09, 2026
While driving on the highway my vehicle out of nowhere activated the automatic collision break system. The breaks were activated or pressed automatically and my vehicle had a sudden jerk becase of the quick, sudden drop in speed. The car had an immediate drop in speed about 20-30 mph then resumed to pick up speed to the original speed eventually picking up to normal speeds.
Aug 21, 2025
The cruise control quits intermittently while driving. It has since November 2024. The Honda Dealer says they do not have a fix. It increases driver fatigue and it surprises you as you are driving. The alert is to clean sensor, but cleaning doesn’t fix it. It has been inspected by Harr Honda and they can’t fix it.

I contacted Honda America regarding a concern with my 2025 Pilot, which has just over 5,000 miles. The service light for the rear differential came on at the 5,000‑mile mark (I don't drive off-road, and my driving is 50/50 city/highway), even though the dealership indicated this service is not typically required until 10,000–15,000 miles. My goal was simple: confirm that there is no premature wear issue with the rear differential, and request that Honda cover the service if it is occurring earlier than expected. Instead, the experience was extremely disappointing. The representative repeatedly stated that he could not provide any technical information because he is a customer service agent. That raises an obvious question: if Honda’s own customer service cannot address technical concerns about a Honda vehicle, who exactly should a customer contact? He then informed me that he reached out to the dealership I use and spoke with the service manager, who said that “this could happen.” I already knew that from the dealer. Repeating the same vague statement does not add value, nor does it require involvement from a service manager or a manufacturer representative. It certainly does not address my actual concern about potential premature wear, nor does it justify the back‑and‑forth emails when no meaningful assistance was provided. To be clear, I am fully aware that dealerships profit from performing services—whether the vehicle truly needs them or not. That is precisely why I reached out to Honda America for clarification and support. Instead, I received no answers, no guidance, and no resolution. If additional information is needed, do not hesitate to contact me.

Aug 15, 2025
Purchased vehicle 06-25-2025 with 6 miles on the odometer. Now has 78 miles. Whenever applying slight throttle pressure the vehicle lurges back and forth. As you applying accelerator pedal pressure the vehicle hesitates and then lurges forward.
Jun 27, 2025
The transmission stutters between shifts. When I apply a healthy amount of throttle input (say 50% or so), the shifts feel very clean and crisp. When I'm at minimal throttle (but I need to creep along) or when I come close to a stop (not quite full stop) and get back into throttle, there is a noticeable delay in power from 1st to 2nd gear. If there's a delay in acceleration, it can create a dangerous scenario where I can't "escape" out of a situation I need too. It's very unsettling. I also feel stuttery down shifts while I'm braking and coming to a stop. The car lurches forward as I'm braking when it tries to execute its downshifts.

four cracked windshields while driving from debris hitting windsheild
May 26, 2026
The rear windshield on our 2025 Honda Pilot spontaneously shattered. We have owned it approximately 2 months.
Dec 08, 2025
My 2025 Honda Pilot (purchased Oct 2024) has experienced three windshield cracks, all starting in the same lower driver-side corner near the inspection stickers. 1st crack – July 2025: A long horizontal crack appeared overnight while parked, with no impact point at all. Dealer claimed “impact damage” and refused warranty. 2nd crack – August 2025: After paying for an OEM replacement and Honda Sensing calibration, the new windshield cracked on the drive home from a very small road debris impact. The star-shaped crack spread rapidly to the edge. Glass shop staff informally said the first crack looked like a stress crack. They replaced the glass again with OEM and calibrated, offering their labor for free. Dealer declined to pay even for only glass itself and told us to talk to Honda USA. We contacted Honda USA by phone, received a case number, and were told to “deal with the dealer.” The dealer then told us to contact Honda USA again. Neither party investigated, and both said the windshield is “not covered.” 3rd crack – November 2025: A tiny debris impact again caused a crack in the same exact corner. The impact chip was extremely small, but the crack still spread more than normal. All photos attached with repair invoices. We paid out of pocket as our insurance does not cover OEM glass. The repeated cracking in the identical corner, including one with no impact, suggests a possible structural stress point, mounting issue, or overly thin/brittle OEM glass. I also found another NHTSA complaint from June 2024 reporting similar cracking on a 2025 Pilot. These repeated failures pose a visibility and safety risk on a new vehicle.

SERVICE BRAKES
3 complaints
The vehicle is experiencing persistent dashboard warnings including "Brake performance may be reduced," "Low Speed Braking Control problem," and "Parking sensor problem." These issues have been presented to your authorized dealer, Napleton Honda in Morton Grove, on three separate occasions with no resolution: September 29, 2025: I arrived at the dealer bay with active warning lights. The service writer instructed me to simply restart the vehicle to clear the lights. I have photographic evidence of the warnings from this date. October 25, 2025: The vehicle was brought in for repair. I provided cell phone photos of the active dashboard warnings, yet the dealer reported "nothing found." April 20, 2026: The vehicle was again brought in for the same issues. I again provided cell phone photos as proof of the defect, but the dealer reported "nothing found." Despite the dealer's inability to diagnose the cause, my photographic documentation from 9/29/25, 10/25/25, 4/20/26, and 4/25/26 proves these defects are real, recurring, and significantly impair the safety and value of the vehicle.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Vehicle: 2025 Honda Pilot VIN: 5FNYG1H44SB075283 Mileage: ~6,328 miles Summary of Safety Defect: Serious acceleration failure combined with existing safety recalls (brake pedal pivot pin defect and improperly routed third-row seat belt). Vehicle hesitates, fails to accelerate when needed, and creates dangerous crossing and merging conditions. Detailed Description: I own a 2025 Honda Pilot that is currently subject to multiple safety recalls, including the brake pedal pivot pin recall and the third-row seat belt routing defect. In addition to these known defects, the vehicle has a severe and unpredictable acceleration failure that creates a significant safety hazard. On December 10, 2025, I attempted to turn left onto a main road from a complete stop. When I pressed the accelerator, the vehicle failed to accelerate quickly enough to clear oncoming traffic. The throttle response was delayed, sluggish, and unresponsive for several seconds. An oncoming driver had to brake hard to avoid hitting my vehicle. This was a near-collision and placed me and others in immediate danger. This hesitation and lack of power has occurred multiple times when: Turning left across traffic Merging onto highways Changing lanes at speed Attempting to accelerate from a stop The vehicle does not respond appropriately or consistently when pressing the accelerator. This is especially dangerous in situations requiring timely throttle response to avoid collisions. Combined with the existing factory safety recalls, this creates a serious and ongoing safety risk. A new vehicle should not fail to accelerate when entering or crossing traffic. I have already notified Honda in writing. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate this issue, as I believe this is a defect affecting the safe operation of the vehicle, particularly in situations requiring quick acceleration. This defect is significant enough that I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle.

The evap canister keeps tripping the engine light. I've had it repaired multiple times, but the code keeps triggering saying there's a leak in the EVAP canister. With the engine light triggering, it reduces power to the vehicle, and cause it to bog down slightly which is a big safety concern while traveling. I brought it to Ocean Honda of Brockton, MA multiple times and nothing has worked. The code/engine light continues to trigger. No other symptoms occurred prior to the issues. This has been ongoing for about 6 months.

After that they said they will replace the speed wheel sensor. I got my car back hopefully that resolved the issues. This cars should not pass QC, this problem happened right after driving the vehicle of the dealer lot after purchase.

Vehicle: 2026 Honda Pilot – Mileage 20,847 Issue: Engine Failure, oil leaks, wheel alignment, air conditioning, major gas leaks from the engine, safety electronics alerts on front dash display are saying the vehicle is not safe to drive. History of issues: 03-11-2026: Car broke down while driving in [XXX] . 03-12-2026: Received call from Ira Honda service and was told they needed to replace the engine. 04-04-2026: I was told the vehicle was ready to be picked up. I started driving home and found the vehicle was all over the road. I returned to Ira Honda and once again was given a loaner. Also, the engine was leaking oil. 04-09-2026: Ira Honda called and said one of the engine gaskets was defective and they needed to replace it. They said that now the alignment was back in spec. I was told that the 3 yr engine warranty begins anew. When I got home I looked more closely at the alignment document and saw that the alignment was still slightly out of spec. I called and was told that it was the best they could do. 04-10-2026: air conditioning not working and asked for them to fix the alignment. 04-13-2026: I again brought the vehicle in for service. But was told there were no loaners available. I arrived at 9:30am and at 1:00pm. The A/C was fixed and determined the frame was not set correctly when they replaced the engine. This was the reason the alignment was off by so much. So the alignment was fixed. 04-14-2026: Leaking oil. So again, I had to return to Ira Honda. No loaner was available. 04-18-2024: Saturday morning and we smelled gas in the garage. Started the car and it took about a minute to start. Asked if it was safe to drive, Ira service said yes. 04-20-2026: Started the vehicle up and same issue occurred. However, this time gas was leaking out. It leaked in our garage, on our driveway and all over the street. Again fixed. 04-29-2026: Car again failed to start. During startup the car leaked a large amount of gas. It is still at the dealership. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The power steering system software problem undriveable. The AWD failed said undriveable. Only 30k miles on it and it just locked and couldnt steering right to left in the middle of traffic. Could have caused a bad accident lycjuly my kids weren't in the car. The computer software took over completely made my car uncontrollable. Have a video of all warnings that came on.

After driving over a railroad crossing, all driver safety systems disabled, brake system error, AWD torque distribution stopped and stated only FWD worked, and power steering stopped working. Was unable to manuever vehicle and had to ease vehicle over. Was able to stop the vehicle and shut it off. Restarted vehicle and power steering came back but other lights remained. Another few minutes went by and systems all returned to normal. This issue caused driver to lose all control of vehicle and thankfully didn't crash since vehicle was only traveling roughly 20 mph. If this happened at highway speed, there would be no way to safely stop the vehicle.

Received Warning message 'Electric Steering Assist Failure' Saturday January 10th 2026 12:00-Noon Driving approximately 5mph, released the accelerator to begin pulling into a parking spot and the power steering failed. The vehicle was very difficult to turn but I was able to avoid hitting anything. Drove around for ~2 hours making multiple stops at multiple stores with no issues until... same day, Saturday January 10th 2026 1:55 Driving approximately 5mph, released the accelerator to begin pulling into a parking spot and the power steering failed. This was a safety risk to my family and to the pedestrians in the parking lot. Saturday January 10th 2026 1:55 I immediately called Wilde Honda Waukesha Wisconsin, which is the dealership that I bought it from (6/25/25 delivery date) They asked me to bring the vehicle in on Monday Monday January 12 2026 1:46pm Justin Green - Service Advisor called and stated that they can see that its an electrical issue but cannot diagnose fully. He stated that they needed to bring in a more advanced technician so I would need to bring it back the next day. Tuesday January 13 2026 1:51pm Justin Green - Service Advisor called to inform that they were unable to replicate the issue and that my keys are at the front desk. 2:45 Spoke with service manager who advised me to continue driving the vehicle and bring it back if it happens again. He suspected that because it was snowing the day of the incidents, that the issue may have been caused by moisture.

A few days after I got my new 2025 Honda Pilot Touring, I was turning a corner and the car jerked a bit and several warning messages came up on the dash. I was able to pull the car into a parking spot and I recorded some of the warning messages (a few photos attached). The car worked fine after restarting and when I called the dealer they said that it may have been a sensor and not to worry. Then two days later, I was reversing out of a parking spot and the power steering stopped working. I was able to brake the car and drive it forward to get to a safe place, but the steering wouldn't work after trying to turn the car off and on a few times. There were also other warning messages that were flashing up on the dash. I had to get the car towed to the Honda dealership and am awaiting a report from them. The car is brand new with only 130 miles on it.

I’ve had to replace the puddle lamp bulbs on my Honda Pilot three times so far, and I purchased it brand new less than a year ago. My local dealer would not cover this under the bumper to bumper warranty either. It would seem that this is a prevalent issue with Honda Pilots and other model Honda/Acura vehicles if this forum post is accurate: [XXX] You would think that after a few years Honda would’ve redesigned/corrected the casting so that water intrusion isn’t an issue, but that has not happened. This is disappointing for a “reliable” car brand. Can anything be done to at least acknowledge this is an issue? The issue is that the rear light on both sides has a sharp plastic edge and I’ve actually cut myself on it twice. I took it to the dealer, and they said they couldn’t really replace it because it’s the same on other Honda Pilots, so it seems to be a common issue. Basically, it’s a safety concern with that sharp edge.

While driving the right center forward collision warning "approaching object" came on with 4 red bars for no reason, repeatedly. Additionally a warning saying "low speed braking control problem. Parking sensor obstructive" came on intermittently. Upon returning home I noticed that two sensors had become dislodged and fallen into the bumper. They appear to only have been held on by double sided tape. There are no obvious signs of impact, I have not had any collision, and the vehicle was purchased new. The failure appears to be one of the following 3 potential issues: 1) It could possibly be a very poor design choice, by Honda, to tape the parking sensors onto the vehicle. I don't understand why the mounting was not engineered to be injection molded as part of the lower garnish. That would easily reduce the vehicle parts count. 2) It may also be a poor decision in materials by the manufacturer. Honda may have specified an inferior adhesive that is incapable of sustaining the forces involved, or not capable of withstanding the exterior climate. 3) Least likely, but still possible, is the possibility that Honda's trusted retail partner, Conicelli Honda 19428, sold me a car with pre-existing damage that was not disclosed. A malfunctioning safety systems is dangerous to both the driver, other vehicles, and human life. Not only are the excessive malfunctioning notification a distraction to the driver, if a child was to run out in front of the vehicle, the vehicle would not recognize them and they could be hurt. Additionally if it triggers any other safety features such as automatic breaking, it could cause accident, especially if multiple vehicles in the road are experiencing the same issue. I look forward to a resolution.

During the most recent weather, light snow, the sensor on the front of the car ices over and disables many of the safety features while driving. The driver will get a caution alert on the dash that says "some" safety features "May" be disabled. However, there is no information about which ones or why. This particular issue has happened multiple times in inclement weather. Also I know it's a problem as while in the dealership many were calling asking g about why this was happening. It is a danger to drivers. If they heated the "H" emblem, where the radar sensor is, it would not be a problem. I have included photos of the dash at the time along with photos of the emblem iced over and the general conditions outside at the time, very light snow

Summary and Description of Incident: - Owner was driving the vehicle in traffic when the failure occurred. - While shopping, parked the vehicle, opened drivers door, manually pressed inside door lock on driver's door, closed door. While walking away, the car began to beep. Returned to the car, unlocked the car with the remote key, opened the driver's door, closed the driver's door, and locked with the remote key button. Proceeded back to the shopping center. - Returned to the car 3 hours later, entered the vehicle, put on seat belt and started car. All instrument panel lights come on and stayed on. This looked strange, so the car was shut off, and restarted. Instrument panel appeared normal and departed shopping center to return home. - While traveling with the flow of traffic in the center lane of 3 travel lanes, the vehicles engine died while at road speed (45-50 mph). Applied the brake and kept in the center lane coming to a complete stop (brake and power steering stiff as happens when motor is not running). The center lane traffic behind also slowed to a stop, remaining in the center lane. Once stopped, transmission put into park, pressed stop button to turn off, pressed again to restart vehicle, transmission put into drive and proceeded to drive, cautiously coming up to driving speed. - Travelled 0.3 mile and vehicle engine died a second time. Same scenario as before with stiff steering, stiff brakes, staying in center lane, stopping, putting in park, stop, restart, putting into drive and proceeding to drive. Traffic behind did not stop, they moved either left or right to go around. They did not appear to slow down while passing. - Travelled 0.1 mile and vehicle engine died a third time. Same scenario as both incidents before, with traffic behind not stopping and going left or right. - Proceeded to drive home and made dealer appt. 2 visits. Weeks in shop, no repair completed, stated "nothing more can be done". Same response from manufacturer.

Vehicle stopped at a stoplight for about two minutes. It shut itself off and would not restart wouldn’t go into neutral or do anything. There had been zero issues with this vehicle to date until this occurred. This happened in a very busy intersection my wife had to scramble to get the children out of the vehicle and up on the bank before they got rear ended by somebody. The police had the vehicle towed to our friends residence as the dealership couldn’t get it towed for several hours. The vehicle was towed from our friends residence on the morning of [XXX] The tow truck driver and my wife both tried starting the vehicle before it was towed to the dealership, it would not start. Only july 5th at Honda of turnersville , technician Mike said he hopped in the vehicle and it started right up and that there were no error codes. I believe he disconnected the battery and waited for the codes to clear before starting the vehicle and driving it into the shop. Where he plugged it in and found no error codes. The dealership technician then claimed he found and old error code in the memory that showed a bad battery. They replaced the battery. The dealership technician story makes no sense. If the battery was bad, the vehicle wouldn’t have started in the parking lot , I feel like I’m getting the run around and that they didn’t diagnose the actual problem. I currently have no faith that this is a safe vehicle and am scared to drive it. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My CMBS stopped my car in the middle of the road coming home one day. There were no other cars around me (in front of me, behind me, or coming towards me). The word “brake” flashed across my dash and then it beeped at me and just stopped in the middle of the road going 55 mph. My kids and elderly mother in law were in the car with me and we were all shaken up and also very glad there were no cars behind us, or else we could have been injured in a rear-end collision. The dealer has had my car for 21 days now and cannot reproduce it, but they asked if I was in the road that it occurred on, because they have had similar complaints from owners. I do not understand why they don’t drive my car down that same road to be able to reproduce the incident. My below email was sent to the dealer on June 18, because the car keeps locking me out with the key fob inside and the dash resets itself, but won’t turn back on, it is just in the constant spinning reset wheel. My attached photos are of the car refusing to lock because it says a door is open or a window is down, when none of that is happening. (The doors are closed and the windows are up.). The CMBS incident occurred on June 24th, I drove home and had Honda tow my car to the dealership. They have had it ever since.

The message "emission system problem, power may be reduced, see your dealer" indicates a potential issue with your vehicle's emission control system, which may also be causing a reduction in engine power. I was told by the Honda Service Center, that i shouldn't drive it until it is serviced because the car might stall or engine damage may occur. The car only has 86 miles, I have had it less than a week. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Yes. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I was told the car might stall Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? It has been reported Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? See attachment.

- Had initially reported this problem to dealer at ~1590 miles on the vehicle. After ~2,200 miles gasoline smell is still there and severe. - The smell is obnoxious to driver if driving with Windows rolled up and is a safety concern. - Issue is more pronounced, severe when driving at the beginning of the day after overnight parking. - Took it to same dealer twice, they did diagnosis and informed it’s because of the plastic stuck to the exhaust which is the cause. They want to wait out till it’s fully burnt and the smell should go away. - Have raised a case with the manufacturer too and they’re looking.

- Extremely strong gasoline smell inside the vehicle while driving. Didn’t matter AC on or off, smell was terrible but more evident with AC/Fan on. Had to lower all the 4 windows to let out the air. - With a toddler in car it was terrifying with the nauseating smell and/or the risk of fire if at all. - Problem not reproduced by dealer and was mentioned it’s a sticky plastic in exhaust, will go away. - First appeared only on 23rd Oct 2024 with around 1,590 miles on it and not until then. No other related symptoms. - Fuel was almost 3/4th full and had been more than 8 days since last filled. Never filled to the brim ever or overflowed.

New 2025 Pilot with about 3,000 miles, driving in Montana on a level dusty gravel road at about 5,000 feet altitude. Driving into the morning sun for about 20 minutes at a slow speed of about 30 mph all of a sudden multiple warnings flashed, engine, brakes, etc. Steering was stiff and brakes did not feel active, very stiff. I just coasted to a stop on a desolate gravel road, no other traffic. The engine was still running, did not press on the gas for in large red letters the warning panel said "DO NOT DRIVE". The car was very dusty. If we had been on an Interstate at 70 mph that would have been an accident, with steering and brakes inhibited somehow? I shut OFF the engine, waited 10 minutes, started engine again and WARNINGS still active. Shut OFF engine and waited 20 minutes. Restarted engine and looked like warning were starting to clear, and steering and brakes felt normal again. With no WARNINGS showing I drove very slowly for many miles with no further occurrences. Slowly worked my way back across the country to Florida without any further failures. It appears to all be computer related, perhaps sensors failing and the computer shutting down what must be electrical steering and brake assist. At speeds with Interstate traffic, that condition will be an accident. There are no failure codes shown on the access panel. We have an appointment with our Honda service dealer, maybe they will be able to access a computer history to see the failure mode that caused loss of steering and brakes. The fact that a computer can impact those critical systems on a vehicle, is a serious safety issue. Prior to this incident, driving about 30 minutes on a dusty gravel road in Montana, some sensor must have been actuating the rear brake caliper, I could hear the scraping sound of pad on rotor, didn't sense the car slowing. The car was dusty, maybe sensors inhibited, the scraping lasted about 15 minutes, at least that it could be heard in the car. Could be a safety iss

I was driving my new 2025 Honda Pilot when I went to make a right turn and the steering system locked on me. I couldn't turn right and was almost in a horrible accident. Thank God that the other vehicles were able to stop in time. But I had to get the car out of traffic with the help of good samaritans. I cut the car off and all the systems dispalyed a error and said to see dealer. It was the most scariest and stressful time. I was late to work, my husband had to leave work to come and get me. I had the car towed to the dealership and was given a rental but I want to know why this happened and what will the Honda do to ensure this won't happen to me or someone else driving that car for it to be a 2025 elite edition. I could have been seriously hurt or killed.

I am reporting a safety-related driver visibility concern involving a 2025 Honda Pilot. I also observed substantially similar behavior on a 2026 Honda CR-V loaner vehicle and another Honda Pilot provided by Koons Honda. The issue involves the front driver and passenger windows and their interaction with the outer window seals/belt moldings. During rainy, snowy, foggy, or wet conditions, lowering and then raising the windows leaves significant moisture, streaking, fog residue, or debris on the glass surface. Current image shows fog residue, however, the same results occurred with snow where visibility was impaired after cycling the front driver and passenger windows. The outer window seals do not adequately clear the windows during normal operation. This results in impaired visibility around and through the side view mirrors, especially during lane changes, merging, and monitoring adjacent lanes. The condition is repeatable and occurs during ordinary use. I documented video evidence showing: •the issue on my 2025 Honda Pilot, •another Honda Pilot, •and the same/similar issue on a separate 2026 Honda CR-V loaner vehicle from Koons Honda. I presented the evidence to dealership personnel. However, the service manager refused to document that side mirror visibility was impaired, reportedly because such wording would imply a safety condition. This concern may involve: •ineffective window seal/belt molding performance, •excessive water retention on side windows, •impaired driver visibility, •and a potential safety defect affecting multiple Honda vehicles. The issue can create unsafe driving conditions because drivers may be unable to clearly observe adjacent traffic through side mirrors after operating the windows in wet conditions. Furthermore, similar reports are found online with different newer models. The date below reflects today's interaction with the dealership, however, this is an ongoing issue since we received the vehicle last year.

ENGINE,LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
1 complaint
There are three dangerous systems in my 2025 Honda Pilot EX-L that should be permanently disabled or removed by the manufacturer or dealer. In order of danger; (1) Collision Mitigation Braking System, (2) Auto Idle Stop, and (3) Road Departure Mitigation System. All three of these systems have nearly caused wrecks for me several times. The Collision Mitigation Braking System (1) is especially dangerous for rear-end collisions to the vehicle using CMBS. Example, I was driving in heavy traffic in the middle lane on I-40 near Hermitage, Tennessee on 23 Apr 2026 with adequate distance between me and the car in front of me. A tractor-trailer was close behind me. Suddenly, a car in the lane to my right moved into the gap in my lane between me and the car that was at a safe distance in front of me. The CMBS activated and started braking the car. I pressed the gas pedal hard to try and maintain my 70 MPH speed to no avail. The tractor-trailer swerved into the lane to my left missing the rear of my car by inches, and avoiding a massive chain reaction collision of many cars. This was a near fatal event for me. Without CMBS, I would have simply held my speed steady until I could create a safe distance and ease into a safer position, possibly in the lane to my right, a much less eventful situation. The Auto Idle Stop (2) has a knack for shutting off the engine when I am trying to make a left turn in heavy traffic. After several near misses, I have learned to turn this system off when starting the engine (the default is on). The Road Departure Mitigation System (3) shakes the steering wheel if the system thinks you are moving out of your lane. It shakes the steering wheel to alert you. Twice, I was caught by surprise and overcorrected the steering when the Road Departure Mitigation System started shaking the steering wheel. So instead of staying in my lane, this almost caused me to go out of my lane and possibly collide with another car or a road barrier.

On 3/16/26 I attempted to accelerate and the vehicle experienced severe "bucking" and gear hunting hesitation before losing all drive power and stalling. Following the stall, the engine would not crank or "catch" despite multiple attempts. State Police arrived as I was in an unsafe location (blind on-ramp to highway) they called their tow trucks deeming it hazardous to wait as Honda Roadside Assistance would not arrive for an estimated 60-90 minutes. It was brought to the local dealership. After an hour from incident to inspection at the local Honda dealership, the vehicle powered on normally of which no codes showed and the vehicle started with no issues. The manufacturer and dealer state they cannot replicate the problem and found no historical or pending diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Despite the lack of codes, these symptoms are a direct match for NHSTA Recall Campaign 25V-031 (Honda Recall AL0) which was officially announced to address Torque Control Failures caused by the FI-ECU software. According to Honda’s safety report, improper programming in the fuel injection unit causes the engine to stall during "sudden changes in throttle opening"—which is exactly what I experienced. As of now, my VIN has not been identified on the current recall list. This loss of power during acceleration creates an immediate safety risk of rear-end collisions and leaves the driver stranded in active traffic.

Electrical issues began around 15,000 miles. Since then, the vehicle has been in the shop many times for electrical-related concerns and has required towing twice. Most concerning, these failures have left us stranded in dangerous conditions on multiple occasions. These incidents represent serious safety risks to our family and others on the road. We have been diligent about regular maintenance as well. A Honda vehicle of this age and mileage should not experience repeated electrical system breakdowns that compromise vehicle control and driver safety. When the car errors come on the car has lost AWD (while in the mountains in a snow storm) acceleration, the ability to change driving modes, and this most recent event we lost complete access to the driver panel and steering while driving. This electrical issue has been documented over 5 times and we have been told specifically by the dealers weve been towed or brought to "You may have drove it too hard" or "We reset the codes and the car is now driving fine" or "we can't find a problem". Most recently the alternator failed and they will not back to repair because it's past 36,000. We want to see Honda fix these issues before someone is seriously injured. We have photos and video of all of the warnings each time they happened. We also have documentation of each electrical failure, the date, the mileage and what we were told by the dealership in response.

If anyone else would've been in the car they would've been hurt as well but luckily i just dropped a passenger right before the incident. The car speeding up without warning is very dangerous! There were no warnings. I just bought the car 2 weeks before this happened and now I am scared to drive this vehicle! Vehicle has been inspected unknown if anything was found yet. I need to get the black box checked out to find out what caused this to happen.

All of the lights on the dash came on and the power steering stopped working while driving on the highway. I was in the number one lane and had to merge across four lanes to pull over with no power steering. I shut the car off and waited a few minutes. The lights were still on the dash but the power steering was working. This is the second time this has happened in the last two weeks.

My vehicle has 1,500 miles on it. Last time I drove it from work back home was Friday 11/21 and nothing was wrong. Got back in the car Sunday 11/23 and my engine light was blinking and all kinds of warnings were displaying such as engine, break, and steering problems. My wife and I noticed the car vibrating a lot and I had to drive 20mph. If not the car felt like it was going to shut down.

Tonight, 11/8/2025 at 7pm MT, while traveling straight at 25-30 mph, power steering suddenly failed and vehicle reported that AWD failed with only front wheels powered. Many other failure warnings simultaneously appeared on dash (collision detection, LKAS, parking assist, etc). The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My family's safety was put at risk. Sudden loss of power steering is very surprising to the driver, combined with the dash reporting a multitude of failure warnings all at once. If we had been driving on the freeway at speed or in the middle of a turn this would have been a very serious safety issue, easily leading to a collision given the sudden change in steering input needed. If traveling in snow or ice, losing AWD suddenly would also have been a serious safety issue. No one has inspected the vehicle since the incident, this just happened tonight. The vehicle has only 5,700 miles on it, was serviced by the dealer within the last couple hundred miles to repair all outstanding recalls, and I have had no other issues with the vehicle. There was no warning about and issues with the vehicle prior to this incident. The only thing out of the ordinary immediately prior to the incident is that my phone wasn't able to pair to the infotainment system (which never happens).

Engine was still surging after multiple efforts to stop the engine surge. The engine stopped the surge after hitting the park button multiple times. NO warning lights or sounds and no air bags deployed. The vehicle has been repaired by a body shop and inspected by the manufacturer.

My vehicle begun to make a clicking noise every time when turning the steering wheel. It has gotten worse over time, almost constantly. I took the vehicle for my first service and mentioned this to the service guy. He mentioned that this is a known problem on some of their Hondas, not just my vehicle and that they tried fixing it on another Honda vehicle but that the problem on that vehicle was worse after they tried to fix it. The guy basically said there is a sensor inside the steering wheel that tells the vehicle how much the wheel has turned (I forgot the name of the sensor). He basically admitted this was a known design flaw and recommended I leave the issue alone or it would get worst if they try to fix it.

My 2025 Honda Pilot Black Edition came with these Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S tires. They tramline horrendously on grooved concrete roads (most interstates where I live) to the point of being extremely dangerous. The vehicle jerks side to side to where it is throwing the vehicle off balance at highway speeds and this also causes nausea for the driver and passengers. The tires have exhibited this behavior since the vehicle was brand new and a quick google search turned up numerous reports of others experiencing the same tramlining behavior.

I purchased a brand-new 2025 Honda Pilot Elite, and within the first 1,000 miles of driving, I began noticing multiple concerning noises and performance issues: Steering Noise: At low speeds, particularly while turning, the steering system emits a subtle but persistent creaking noise/noises from the steering wheel area. The creaking is especially noticeable when making slow turns in parking lots or driveways. It appears to worsen in warmer temperatures and is consistent regardless of road condition. I brought the issue to the dealership's attention, and they kept the vehicle for approximately three weeks. They replaced the clock spring and airbag, claiming the noise was resolved. However, the creaking noise returned shortly after I resumed driving the vehicle. Brake Popping: There is also a popping/clicking noise coming from the front left brake area, especially when braking or shifting between drive and reverse. The dealership lubricated the brake hardware but did not resolve the issue. Despite Honda service attempts, the noises persist. Numerous other 2023–2025 Honda Pilot owners have reported similar symptoms online, many citing steering rack/pinion defects or unresolved brake component issues. These defects appear widespread and unresolved by standard dealership repairs. Safety Concern: While the issues may currently present as mechanical noises, I am deeply concerned that they may signal underlying defects in critical safety systems—such as steering control and braking performance. Unaddressed, these could potentially lead to steering failure, brake failure, or loss of control, especially during low-speed maneuvers where driver response time may be compromised due to mechanical unpredictability. Request for Investigation: I respectfully request that the NHTSA investigate these issues, as they appear to be affecting a growing number of new Honda Pilot vehicles across the 2023 to 2025 model years, the dealership do not know what to do.

The backup camera, parking sensors, and automatic braking system failed to function properly on my 2025 Honda Pilot Touring during two separate incidents, both resulting in collisions with stationary objects (trees). In both cases, the rearview camera displayed only the ground, and the audible alerts and automatic braking system did not activate, despite all safety features being enabled and set to maximum sensitivity. I specifically purchased this vehicle for its advertised safety systems, which did not engage or warn me in either instance. This malfunction put my safety and the safety of others at risk, especially in residential or pedestrian areas. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer or a dealership, but the damage is available for inspection upon request. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to or during the failures.

I am experiencing a clicking and popping noise at low speeds and when turning or backing the vehicle. These sounds are getting louder and more frequent. I have checked on the Honda Forum and several owners have indicated a problem with the steering rack which they had replaced under warranty. Please look into this as there seems to be a large number of these issues occurring. As you well know steering safety is a major concern and cause for alarm. I have taken my vehicle in once and the service department could not duplicate the issue. It is occurring again and the earliest I can get in is May 12th. I have recorded the sound and it is definitely occurring. I have almost 15,000 miles on the vehicle and this started happening around 14,000 miles. Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this safety issue.

Loud popping noise when steering started at about 2000 miles. The entire steering rack was replaced. At 7000 miles the noise is back along with a clicking in the steering wheel. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU) required a software update. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V031000 (Fuel System, Gasoline, Electrical System); the VIN was included, but the vehicle was already repaired under the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.

Subject: Safety Complaint Regarding Adaptive Cruise Control Malfunction – 2025 Honda Pilot Dear NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation, I am filing a formal complaint regarding a recurring safety issue with my 2025 Honda Pilot, which I purchased in September 2024. The vehicle’s Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system frequently and unexpectedly turns off while driving on the highway, creating a serious road safety hazard. This issue has been happening intermittently since I bought the vehicle, and despite bringing it to Honda’s attention, they have not acknowledged or addressed the problem. The sudden deactivation of the ACC system can cause unexpected speed changes, forcing the driver to react quickly and potentially leading to hazardous driving conditions. Given the increasing reliance on driver-assist technologies, such malfunctions pose a risk to both the driver and other motorists on the road. I have reported this issue to my local Honda dealership, but they have not provided a permanent resolution. I am concerned that other Honda Pilot owners may be experiencing the same problem, which could indicate a widespread defect. Therefore, I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action, including issuing a recall if necessary, to prevent potential accidents. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and inform me of any next steps. I am available to provide further details or documentation as needed. I appreciate your prompt attention to this critical safety concern. I also attached photos of the said issue. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Hello, I am writing to report an issue I discovered with my new 2025 Honda Pilot EXL, which I purchased in October 2025. On January 5, 2025, while inspecting the engine, I noticed that the protective cover on the wiring harness was wrapped with black electrical tape. This tape was shredded and peeling away from the plastic pipe cover, likely due to heat or other factors. I was surprised and concerned to find such a low-quality material used in this location. The tape's deterioration raises concerns about potential damage to the wiring itself due to heat exposure. I am also worried about the long-term reliability and safety implications, including the possibility of a fire. I drove approximately 40 miles round trip to the Honda dealership where I purchased the vehicle. They dismissed my concerns, stating that this was "normal" and simply advised me to purchase more electrical tape from a home improvement store and re-wrap the harness myself. They refused to perform any repair or replacement. I question why Honda would not use heat-resistant tape in this engine compartment area, especially given the potential for high temperatures. Using a more robust, heat-resistant material would provide greater safety and prevent the current issue. I believe this is a design flaw that needs to be addressed.

Shifting from 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears is delayed/hesitant. Extremely noticeable at low speeds when releasing accelerator or braking. Unable to predict speed when coming to a smooth stop, occasionally feels like it lurches forward when it tries to downshift upon braking. Desperately needs software update to TCM, as mentioned hundreds of times elsewhere online. Does not 'train' itself to mitigate this problem.

Two days later the same issue again call the town truck for help. Two hours later the town truck arrive then the car started again. took it to the dealer but they didn't find anything. On the six time I left the car at the dealer for 3 weeks but they couldn't fix it again. 3 weeks later they think they fix the issue but nope same issues after picking up the car again. Please don't sell this vehicle to another person. I am returning the car but as a first time owner of honda I don't recommended.

We own two Hondas. On December 18, 2024 someone stole the radar senders from both vehicles. I takes a little over a minute to steal these. The Honda dealer states that Honda Corp has offered no solution. Beyond expense this negates the cars high tech safety features which makes the vehicle unsafe to drive per the numerous warning that flash on the dash board. As you can understand, there is no effective way to stop this safety defect from reoccurring. The solution may be an encrypted design for the sensor, that only works on the car it was installed on. Police report cannot be made until we know the accurate repair cost.

I was driving and I began slowing down as I approached a red light. My vehicle suddenly stopped. I was unable to turn the vehicle back on nor change the gear. When I would press the start button while pressing the brakes, some dash lights would turn on but again I was not able to change the gear. After several attempts of turning the car on, the car started and I was able to change gears to Drive. Approximately one or two blocks later, while in motion, the car abruptly stopped again. This time the dash displayed “Engine Oil Pressure Low” Stop Engine. Do not Drive”. The car was subsequently towed to a nearby Honda Dealership where an inspection was allegedly done and the issue was supposedly fixed. The service notes stated the vehicle was found with low oil levels and that no leak was found. They released the car back to me. Now, one week after I picked the car up from the Honda Service Department, I encountered the same issue again. While stopped in traffic, my vehicle shut down. I was unable to turn it back on nor change the gears. An orange steering wheel with an orange exclamation mark next to it popped up on the upper right hand corner of my dashboard along with a red battery logo below it. I was on the roadway unable to turn the car back on for approximately one hour. After continuous failed attempts to turn the car on and change the gear, at one point it turned back on and I was able to drive the car.

At 65 mph or higher ( highway speed), I hear the constant troubling noise coming from the front of the vehicle. I had taken the car to the dealership in Fallston, Harford County, Maryland, for inspection twice. The same mechanic drove another 2025 Honda Pilot and was able to replicate the same noise while driving at highway speeds. My Honda Pilot 2025 vehicle's windshield cracked while driving on the interstate. The crack is on the driver side of the windshield, about 6 inches from the top.The crack begins as a single straight line before branching out into another curving line in the letter "L" shape. A passing vehicle kicked up rock or debris, which formed the crack. There was no collision or major impact on the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by the manufacturer, but they were unable to assist me in any way because they did not have any windshields available or would be created in the near future for this vehicle. Recognizing the signs of poor-quality windshield, I believe the windshield quality was compromised to its structural integrity. I see it as very major issue in terms of the safety of the driver and passengers.
