While driving down the road my panoramic sunroof (not the moving piece but the stationary glass) spontaneously burst and shattered. Clear skies, no trucks around me, no overpasses near me, no trees over me, no debris on the road. No other damage to the vehicle. It appears that it burst outward rather than inward. My vent shade was fully closed so no glass fell into the vehicle down onto myself and my 11 month old child, but had it been open we could’ve been seriously cut up and injured. No warning signs at all, I rarely ever use my sunroof and it was not in use at the time of incident. It caused about a 8 inch by 4 inch hole in my sunroof. This is going to cost nearly $1800 to repair due to no fault of my own.

The dash touchscreen is having a delamination issue. It looks like a crack but is actually the two layers of the touchscreen separating which make it look like a crack. From what I see online this looks to be a common issue with the touchscreen but there is no recall. Speaking with the dealership this is an expensive fix. I was quoted $1,725 plus labor to replace the screen.

The screen for the navigation, radio, climate control etc is delaminating and now not working properly. Also it is getting difficult to see the screen while driving. Car is available for inspection. And no warning…it started to delaminate slowly and now it has begun to delaminate spread quickly

I brought my jeep in for a concern about an antifreeze leak on 1/3/25. I had 130,112 miles on my vehicle and was my warranty expired at 125,000 miles. They thought it was a water pump gasket at the time. I took my jeep back on 10/30/2025 and they confirmed a head leak, that wasn't checked last time. This is a safety issue since it has been confimed that other jeeps within same year have the same issue. If I am driving on the interstate and this issue got worse, then it will be a safety issue for everyone driving around me and me and my passengers in the vehicle as well. It has been inspected by Murray Dodge and Jeep. I have not gotten any warning lamps, messages or symptoms prior to failure. First appeared before 1/3/25. I was 5,000 over my mileage- since I was a traveling RN at the time.

Beginning October 3, 2025, the buyer reported a Check Engine Light (CEL) issue. 10.3.25 - The sale dealership stated diagnosis of a fuel leak. 10.8.25 - The sale dealership identified a charcoal canister issue. 10.13.25 - The sale dealership is referring to Jeep dealership. 10.17.25 - The sale dealership confirmed light continues to persist. To date the vehicle has been returned to the sale dealership three times since October 3, 2025. A warranty invoice shows only maintenance order performed occurred on October 3, 2025, and confirmed with the warranty company. This has been a persistant issue based on dates of service with only one repair attempt by the dealership while they maintain possession of the vehicle. Please investigate this issue to determine course of action. within these 10 days.

I bought the vehicle Dec 29, 2024 and it had 79000 miles on it. I use it for work , that is driving to and from my job and to the bank and back for work. I would say that in March of 2025 I went to the bank and I got in to leave and put the vehicle into reverse and it would not go into reverse and a the engine light came on. I had to shut the vehicle off and wait 5 minutes and then try again to go into reverse. When I put it into reverse the r was flashing on the shifter and it said something about needing something to be serviced. So when I looked it up it said that was a sign the transmission was failing. I drove it a couple more times and it only happened 3 times total when it was unable to shift going forward. So I took it to a shop and was informed that the transmission was needing to be replaced. There is no reason the transmission should be going out of it. I live 5 miles from where I work and 15 miles from the bank. I dont abuse my vehicles so what is there an issue with the transmission.

P0303 code. Misfire in cylinder 3. Blown head gasket. 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Car is only five years old with 115000 miles. Dealer suggested a new engine. A $12,000.00 expense to the consumer. $20,000.00 still owed to bank. After much research, it’s clear as day that this is an engineering flaw. Thousands of Pentastar engines have this recurring failure.

Camshaft and lifter failure at 52,102 miles on Pentastar V6 Motor. This has been a known issue to this motor and no recalls. My vehicle is with the mechnic getting fixed. My vehicle was not drivable after diagnostics at my mechanic. I had potential for enfgine failure due to metal on metal camshaft. I was at risk of serious injury if I did not take my vehile in. There were no check engie lights to alert me of an issue. I noticed a slight ticking noise that was not normal. Could not be heard over the radio. Yes this problem has been reproduced at my independant service center. It has not been inspected to my knowledge by the manufacturer, police, insurance other than my mechanic. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symbols prior to my failure other than a noise I noticed when my radio was off that was not normal.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Transfer case had to be replaced. Service 4 wheel drive light came on along with traction control warning. Also, electronic stability control warning. Steering and movement were sluggish. Only had 51,000 miles in it. Not happy to have paid almost $1,400. for the repair. This should have been a recall because as I understand, many other owners have had the same exact issue. Please look into this. Thank you.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 67,000 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 237,277.

There is a common issue with WK2 Jeeps from 17-22 where the infotainment screen delaminates due to the adhesive that Jeep used and eventually causes the touchscreen to become non-functional.

Display for backup camera, radio & climate control is delaminating. Display stops functioning at points and needs to reset. Seal for display has been compromised, so the unit will stop functioning soon. It will have to be replaced.

UConnect system is delaminating and experiencing “phantom” touches, often not allowing me to access things needed and choosing to do whatever it wants. This makes me unable to access “hands-free” via Bluetooth connection, etc., which creates safety issues. It also creates serious safety issues when the unit overrides driver choices, and is also distracting as the unit beeps and switches back and forth among options. This is a widespread issue that Jeep knows about and continues to leave good people to pay thousands of dollars to replace or just be out MANY features on this vehicle that all go through the system. This makes MUCH of this vehicle obsolete.

Transmission, available upon request for inspection. Clunk’s into reverse, or doesn’t engage at all. Code p1da8, p0733. Has been confirmed by dealer. Will throw check engine light occasionally. Also shifts hard between gears 3 and 4.

At approximately 54,000 miles the transmission is not shifting. I parked in a parking spot, go into a store. Then come out and the vehicle will not shift into park or reverse. The check engine light came on for the park by wire issue. These transmissions have been known to have rough shifting and my vehicle has been no exception. It’s shifted rough at low speeds and the eco mode and auto start/stop system have also made it feel less than smooth to drive.

While traveling Vehicle intermittent hard shifts, or no shifts, goes into neutral unexcitingly, sometimes no reverse. SES light on. 77,278 miles Dealer advised stored code - TCM P0733-00 Gear 3 Shift Incorrect Ratio. Dealer also advised vehicle needs Transmission replaced, Repair estimate $5970.28 Previous issues include ABS system repair and engine coil pack issue.

Transmission needs fully replaced, certified technician said the see this all the time in these Jeeps. Dealership said they had to replace one at 56k miles, this car has 85k miles, well taken care of. Research shows this is a very common issue. Jeep needs to cover these transmissions and recall!

Transmission system failed causing slipping when going into 3rd gear. Dealership inspected it and is telling me the output shaft has to be replaced. The check engine light came on when it started slipping.

The contact owned a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH, another vehicle pulled out in front of his vehicle, causing him to T-bone the vehicle on the front driver side. No air bags deployed. The contact stated he and his girlfriend sustained injuries to their backs and his left ankle, knee, and wrist, and bruises on his chest and ribs due to impact. Medical attention was sought via the emergency room. A police report was filed. The failure was not diagnosed by a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and they informed him that a case manager will contact him. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

My husband was driving our 2020 jeep and was going 70mph on the turn pike and BAM all the air bags went off, curtain air bags everything! He broke some ribs and some other things and went to the hospital. I have contact Chrysler and they sent out a mechanical engineer to read the black box type thing in the car and never got back to me. No one will speak to me there I am stuck with a vehicle I cannot drive with the air bags all exploded as a vehicle malfunction. We were not stuck we did not strike anything they just exploded. There were no indictor lights on the vehicle drove fine there was nothing wrong with it and we had it less then 6months.

I was in a head on collision in my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and another driver crossed the center line. I braked at approximately 40 mph the other car was driving the same speed downhill and made impact with the front drivers side bumper. Busting the headlight, washer fluid reservoir, threw my front grille at least 5 feet in front of the truck… their car’s front end was demolished. My airbags in my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee did not deploy. I feel this is a fail on the manufacturer as there is no reason why one if not all airbags should not have deployed.

The contact owned a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH, the vehicle in front of the contact had lost control and ended across the lane. The contact stated that the road was a gravel road and the driver of the other vehicle had created a dust cloud that obscured the vehicle. The contact stated that her vehicle crashed into the other vehicle on their passenger side front door. The contact stated that as her vehicle's driver's side front end crashed into the side of the other vehicle, the air bags had only partially deployed once the contact's vehicle had stopped forward momentum due to the crash. The contact stated that her driver hit his head on the windshield and his chest hit the steering wheel. The contact stated that he was not cut only bruised on the forehead and chest. The contact stated that the shoulder strap of the front passenger seat belt had caused bruising on her left shoulder and rib cage and she was in pain. The contact stated that emergency services transported her to the emergency room for evaluation and later her driver drove himself to the emergency room for evaluation. The police were on the scene and filed a report. The contact stated that both vehicles were not drivable and her vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The contact said that her insurance provider declared the vehicle a total loss and had determined that the air bags had not deployed as designed. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,273.

Electronic stability and 4wd lights came on. Brought to dealership and the PTU is no longer working. My car is vibrating and hesitating when accelerating. Jeep dealer told me it’s common to have to replace these units however they are nationally back ordered. My car doesn’t even have 60k miles on it and even if I want to fix my car so it’s safe I can’t because the parts are backordered leaving me with no other choice but to drive for months months unsafely without a properly functioning PTU

The main computer or console of this vehicle is known to malfunction and cause the lose of air condition, heat, defrosters, back up camera's, camera sensors, navigation controls, etc. My vehicle was fixed once, but the issue was only warrantied for two years from the repair, which they failed to notify me at the time of the mfg. repair. Additionally, they failed to disclose was the entire dashboard had to be disassembled in order to replace my defective computer/console. Why is that important to know? Well, the leather upgraded dash boards once removed from the car are more receptive to bubbling up and causing an interference to the effective operation of the airbags. Again, the dealership didn't disclose this or how the repair was completed, how it could impact the critical safety features of the vehicle, and they have declined any responsibility of potentially causing additional safety issues when reparing their know defect.

Delamination of the front screen of the car. The screen is delaminating at a rapid pace and I have no reason for the issue to arise other than a manufacture issue with the screen. It continues to get every day. Causing an obstruction and not being able to see my review back up camera.

My 2020 Jeep will regularly turnover but not start after pushing the start button. As of now, the vehicle will start normal after pushing the start button a second time. Research has shown many people have had and are still having this exact issue. It would seem that most of the ones with this problem have fixed the issue by having both fuel pumps replaced which is very expensive and in my opinion highly unreasonable being it is a very common issue for Jeep. Upon further research it would seem Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos which share the mechanical characteristics have been having this exact issue for at least 10 years now. I feel it is more than fair that the manufacturer should issue a recall and fix the defect they have obviously known about for quite some time now.

There are times when I go to start the car and it will not start. It sounds like it is trying but won’t completely turn on. When I press the starter to the off position and then try again it works. We took it to the dealership and they said I need a new Fuel Pump. There is a recall for this but not on my vehicle.

YOU CANNOT PROPERLY FILL YOUR GAS TANK WITHOUT HAVING TO MANIPULATE THE PUMP HANDLE THE WRONG WAYS. EVERY TIME I'VE HAD TO FILL UP I HAVE TO SIT THERE AND CONSTANTLY HAVE TO RESET THE PUMP HANDLE BECAUSE ALL THE PUMP THINK THE TANK IS FULL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHEN THE TANK IS ACTUALLY FULL. I'VE EVEN PUT THE AUTO FILL HANDLE ON AND WHEN IT KICKED OFF THE PUMP WENT FLYING OUT AND GAS SPILLED EVERYWHERE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PERFECT EXPERIENCE PUTTING GAS INTO MY JEEP SINCE I'VE BOUGHT IT. I'M ALWAYS AFRAID TO PUT THE AUTO FILL HANDLE ON AND TAKE MY HAND OFF THE PUMP.

LEASED MY GRAND CHEROKEE 2020. DROVE THE CAR TWICE. IT WASN'T EVEN 24 HRS SINCE I HAD THE CAR, MY CAR BROKE DOWN THE 2ND TIME I DROVE IT (ON A FRIDAY). I WAS WAITING ON LINE FOR MY SONS GRADUATION. IT WAS A DRIVE THROUGH GRADUATION BECAUSE OF COVID-19. I WAS THE 1ST ON LINE AND HAD 50 CARS BEHIND ME. WHEN I WAS ASKED TO PROCEED MY GEAR DIDN'T SHIFT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TRIED RESTARTING IT AND IT DIDN'T START. HAD TO GET THE CAR TOWED TO A DEALER. I WAS TOLD ID HAVE TO WAIT TILL MONDAY. CALLED JEEP TO COMPLAIN. I ASKED FOR A LOANER AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO PAY FOR IT. I FIND THAT INSENSITIVE, RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL. IT HADN'T BEEN 24 HRS THAT I HAD THE CAR, I ONLY HAD 88 MILES ON THE CAR AND I WAS BEING ASKED TO PAY FOR A LOANER FOR A CAR THAT BROKE DOWN BECAUSE OF A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. IM ASSUMING BECAUSE I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH JEEP, THEY PRESSED THE DEALER TO LOOK AT THE CAR ASAP. I RECEIVED A CALL TO SAY I RAN OUT OF GAS. MY GAS INDICATOR SHOWED I HAD A HALF TANK OF GAS. THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WHICH SENDS A SIGNAL TO THE GAS GAUGE ON THE DASH, LETTING YOU KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN YOUR THE TANK WASN'T WORKING. THE SENDING UNIT IS INTEGRATED WITH THE TANK FUEL PUMP & STRAINER. SO BOTH MY FUEL PUMPS NEED TO CHANGE. THE MAIN FUEL PUMP IS ON BACK ORDER AND I WAS TOLD I COULD BE WAITING WEEKS OR MONTHS FOR THE PUMP TO COME IN. I WAS TOLD AS LONG AS I GAS UP MY CAR EVERY 200-250 MILES I "SHOULD" BE FINE UNTIL THE FUEL TANK COMES IN. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOT ONLY WERE THEY UNAPOLOGETICALLY BUT THEY DID NOT TRY TO FIND A WAY TO ACCOMMODATE ME FOR A PROBLEM THAT THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR. SADLY I JUST RECEIVED THIS CAR ON A 42 MONTH LEASE. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE CAR TO BE FIXED AND PRAY THAT I DON'T GET STUCK ON THE ROAD AGAIN OR ANY OTHER PROBLEM ARISE. Component/System: Electrical Power Steering (EPS) – steering cuts in and out while driving. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the steering intermittently fails, making the vehicle very difficult to control. This could easily cause an accident. Reproduction/Inspection: The issue has been reproduced multiple times while driving. The vehicle previously had an engine replacement at Bayird Dodge Chrysler Jeep in West Memphis, AR (now closed), but this steering problem remains unresolved. Manufacturer/Dealer Involvement: The original dealership is no longer in business, so I cannot return there for service. I have contacted Jeep/Stellantis Customer Care to request assistance. Warning Lamps/Messages: The EPS warning light has appeared during failures. The problem first appeared in [insert approximate date/month you noticed it]. Summary: The 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee (VIN [XXX] ) has ongoing electrical power steering failures. The steering cuts in and out unexpectedly, creating an extreme safety hazard. Power Steering As I was making a right hand turn the red warning power steering icon flashed on the dash and I was unable to complete the right hand turn and proceeded to drift in to the oncoming traffic lane and ended up on the sidewalk facing the on coming traffic lane. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed at this time The vehicle or component has not been inspected at this time This was the first time in traffic

While driving the power steering would quit working. It would turn off and on randomly. I have found this to be a very common issue among these vehicles.

The steering is overly heavy. That is, it requires a great deal of effort to turn-- a dangerous amount of effort. Steering the car is an immense chore that leads to exhaustion and is dangerous when making even the slightest maneuvers on the road. When the wheel is turned the turning causes a muffled, strained/rubbing sound. There is some kind of friction that there shouldn't be within the steering column.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speeds, there was a misfire coming from the engine while accelerating, decelerating, idling, and while parked. The check engine warning light was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the right-side intake camshaft on all 6 lobes had ground away and needed to be replaced. Additionally, metal was found in the rod bearings in the engine. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the vehicle vibrated abnormally, and the contact noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was coolant intrusion leaking into the engine, which caused engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. Several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument cluster. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed with 45 error codes relating to the vehicle not being able to communicate with the blind spot and doors due to battery failure. The battery was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer. The contact was uncertain if the dealer diagnosed the vehicle with engine control module (ECM) or body control module (BCM) failure. The dealer informed the contact that the windshield seal was not installed correctly during manufacturing, which caused water to seep in and damage the engine control module (ECM) or body control module (BCM). The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered since it did not have an extended warranty. The failure mileage was 14,787.

Took to dodge dealer and they told me they have been have problems with traction control, 4x4 problems, misfiring cylinders . They spent 5 days trying to figure it out and told me it was a process of elimination . Replace rear diff motor and that didn't work, replaced TCCM, that didn't work, replaced both batteries , that didn't work, new spark plugs, that didn't work, replaced coils on the side where #1 cylinder miss fire, that didn't work. I've spent approximately $6,000 and still have same problem. I do not have unlimited funds. What should I do next?

At 100,000 miles , traction control light and 4wd service light came on. Dealer said rear diff motor replacement needed, and the TCCM . I replaced and problem still persists . Now red triangle come on dash and says pull to safety motor will turn off. Turning wheel it hesitates like it's not engaging correctly.

While at a complete stop, depressed the accelerator pedal and reached approximately 30 miles per hour. The vehicle engine RPM's rose but the vehicle would not accelerate. Placed the vehicle in park and then began driving, where the vehicle appeared as if nothing occurred. This took place around 5/2023 at approximately 26000 miles. On 7/18/2023, the same incident occurred where the vehicle momentarily lost power again and would not accelerate even when the accelerator was depressed. This occurred at approximately 30450 miles. The vehicle then appeared to have no further issues beyond that.

The check engine light started appearing on the dash and the adaptive cruise control kept appearing that it was off. The light would go off and come on again and the transmission would not shift gears and I could not go in reverse. I drove vehicle to Marino Jeep and they notified me of 3 defects in the internal transmission- which I still have my warranty as the car is at 32.800 miles ONLY on the odometer. This was a dangerous defect causing my car to stall.

1.The electrical/engine/powertrain systems failed 3 times. The vehicle is available for inspection. 2.As the problem progressed, the car would only go forward, no ability to go in reverse, or to be put in park. 3.The dealership replaced the ABS Module, then later the Engine Control Module. 4.Event 1: September 1, 2022 Warning light for the stop/start feature came on, also the ABS light and check engine light. Dealership kept the car for the day, did a diagnosis, returned the vehicle stating it was safe to drive, and that an ABS Module had been ordered. Would contact me to schedule the repair. Event 2: September 8, 2022 Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, all warning lights came on, as well as all lights on the gearshift panel/center console, which kept blinking. Car would only go forward. Dealership installed ABS Module and returned the car to me. Event 3: September 29,2022 Warning light for the stop/start feature and check engine light came on again. I took the car to my local dealership with major concerns that the previous repair was not the only problem occurring and left it there. The Engine Control Module was eventually replaced. 5. I had no use of my Jeep Grand Cherokee from September 29 until November 8, 2022. 6. I have a major concern about the safety of this vehicle.

My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.6 ENG vehicle is cutting off while driving, I was advise it the transmission shift gear transmission, Which needs to be replaced and the can change the TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY - Remove & Replace 3.6L Eng, AWD on my vehicle. when I stop at the light the vehicle completely shuts off where I have to restart my vehicle. They said it was the 2nd battery which I changed and brought a new one. and the same day it still was cutting off. after several attempt in contacting them. I brought the vehicle into Chrysler Jeep Dodge of port Jefferson, and after reviewing they said I need to replace the transmission . I was also advised that there was a TSB Code that is now coming up # 21-00925 Revision C - P0733. I'm very upset as they're telling it current over the extended warranty at this time at 60,000 Miles. when I brought it in it was .. This should be a recall and they need to fix it I only had this vehicle for less then 5yrs brand new, when I started having these issues and can put me in a situation on the highway where I can get into a server accident. I strongly urger the RECALL as this is a known issue with this vehicle

My check engine light came on so I took my car into the mechnanic. They noted the following: "Removed intake manifold and find cylinder three spark plug appears ok. Spin engine over to top dead center cylinder three. Pressurized cooling system and find combustion in coolant. Suspect vehicle needs new head gasket." The mechanic said that is a manufacture defect that they have seen with many Jeep vehicles. I called Jeep to inquire, and they let me know that my VIN number is not included in an existing recall for this same issue. The suggested that I reach out to the NHTSB to ask that my car be included in the existing recall.

The contact stated that the A/C vents were the only parts holding the leather intact; however, the leather could be removed if it was touched. The contact stated that the failure had caused a distraction while driving. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and acknowledged that the failure was a known defect; however, there was no recall or extended warranty for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. This afternoon driving against the wind on the highway the wind was strong enough to pop the hood open while the latch kept the hood secured, twice. The winds at the time were 15mph with gusts to 35mph.

My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee touch screen is delaminating. I have attempted to contact uConnect and Jeep. UConnect initially agreed to replace the screen free of charge after having it diagnosed, but once I had it diagnosed and called back uConnect claimed the first representative that approved the replacement was wrong and now refuses to rectify the situation. The screen has "ghost" touches - basically selecting options by itself, and the back up camera delays or freezes some of the time, not displaying the live video. The dealer diagnosed the delamination. There were no warnings or other indications of a problem. I only learned what was causing these issues by googling the bubbles in my screen. Based on the research I've done since, it appears this problem will get worse, changing climate control settings, system settings, heater settings, entertainment (radio) settings, and "drive mode" type settings eventually. I have seen so many posts on it spanning multiple models and model years, all related to the same problem with the same symptoms, it should really qualify for a recall. I am afraid to let my soon-to-be 16 yr old drive my car because of the distraction this defect can cause, and there is no prevention or reasonable remedy. The screen has not been intentionally damaged, no wipes or other products have been used on it regularly, and it is kept garaged when it is not being driven. The vehicle is used in a normal manner -driving to/from work and practice on city streets and highways, and is not subject to abuse. From my research it is a manufacturer's defect in the screen itself, which can only be avoided or resolved by replacing the unit. If owners don't cause the issue, and can't prevent it by any kind of regular maintenance, training, or care, then it isn't an issue owners should suffer safety concerns or financial obligations over.

I HAVE HAD CONTINUED ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE FOR OVER FOUR MONTHS. IT STARTED AS NOTICING THE "FAVORITE ARTIST" BUTTON NOT WORKING ON THE VEHICLE CORRECTLY. IT THEN CHANGED TO THE SCREEN RESTARTING WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES. IT THEN PROGRESSED TO THE BACKUP CAMERA FREEZING, WHICH HAS ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. THE DEALERSHIP UPGRADED THE SOFTWARE, REPLACED THE BACKUP CAMERA, AND MOST RECENTLY REPLACED THE RADIO ITSELF. AFTER MULTIPLE VISITS AND TIME SPENT WAITING FOR MY VEHICLE TO BE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY, THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ANYTHING ELSE THEY CAN DO TO FIX MY PROBLEM. I BELIEVE MY VEHICLE IS A LEMON, AND I DO NOT FEEL SAFE WITH THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES. SINCE TESTING AND GETTING REPLACEMENT PARTS, MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO RESTART ITS SCREEN RANDOMLY, THE BACKUP CAMERA FREEZES, AND THE ARTIST BUTTON DOES NOT WORK HALF THE TIME. THE SCREEN RESTARTING MID DRIVE FREAKS ME OUT BECAUSE IT JUST STOPS AND RESTARTS, AND THE BACKUP ISSUE IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. IT OFTEN STAYS FROZEN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. (NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD VIDEO EVIDENCE, ONLY PICTURE OF SCREEN). SCREEN AT ONE POINT WOULDN'T LET ME BACK UP WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE PARKING SENSORS BECAUSE IT THOUGHT THEIR WAS SOMETHING BEHIND THE CAR, AND THERE WAS PHYSICALLY NOTHING TO MAKE THE SENSOR THINK THAT WAY. THIS TIME TRAFFIC WAS MUCH BUSIER AND I WAS IN RIGHT LANE WITH CARS BEHIND ME TRAVELING 45-50 MPH AND TO THE RIGHT WAS A MERGE LANE WITH MULTIPLE CARS COMING OVER...CAR SLOWLY GLIDED INTO THE MERGE LANE AS EVERYONE BECAME AWARE I WAS IN DISTRESS AND ALLOWED ME TO MOVE OVER. CAR WOULD NOT RESTART AND WAS ACTUALLY LOCKED IN PARK, SO I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE CAR FROM TRAFFIC LANES. CALLED POLICE AND TOW TRUCK WHO BROUGHT IT TO A JEEP DEALERSHIP. I have owned 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees before this 2020 model and never had issues with seatbelts. After just five years, the driver's side seatbelt is not retracting and the passenger side is starting to do the same. I asked Jeep for assistance and I was told this was something I will have to pay for out of pocket. I have seen that many others have complained of the same issue online. I went to a dealer and the seatbelt part is on backorder for almost two weeks. Just ONE seatbelt will cost me almost $600 out of pocket. Jeep is surely playing with fire with this issue. I can't imagine what they will have to deal with if someone is injured due to the seatbelts not working properly, after just 5 years of buying a new car. Shame on them. I wanted to report this because this is a huge issue for me as someone who drives almost an hour to and from the office twice a week at least. Thank you for any assistance or guidance you can give. My driver and passenger side front seatbelts won't retract properly. Dealer just diagnosed the problem as a weak retractor. This will be the THIRD time the driver side has to be replaced since I bought the vehicle in May of 2020. It will be the SECOND time the passenger side has to be replaced. Jeep replaced both under warranty in Sept of 2021. Driver side was replaced in May of 2023 per Jeep goodwill. This time, I will have to pay for the passenger side but Mopar warranty should cover driver side as it is barely a year old seatbelt. No one i've consulted has ever had to replace their seatbelts even one time, much less three times in four years. This is a definite safety concern if the belts won't tighten up properly during normal driving or a collision situation. Jeep has recalled seat belts on Grand Cherokees up to 2015 but there have been no recent recalls i'm aware of.

The brakes failed. When I pushed on the brakes the car unexpectedly accelerated into a vehicle in front of me, then swerved out of control and crashed into a pillar, then stopped. The break remained smashed to the floor, and I had a hard time lifting the break to see if it would drive. UPDATE 06/13/2023- Consumer sent in copy of complaint addressed to BBB. Consumer states "Re: FCA Third Complaint (#86264538). As a result of the ongoing vehicle malfunctioning and the fact that Chrysler is refusing to provide a release so that the vehicle owner can service his vehicle serviced by a Certified Chrysler mechanic. I had to file a third complaint with the FCA. I understand that the FCA decided not to respond to your inquiry and that Chrysler is not taking responsibility for the vehicle, but today. Mr. Owens was advised that until the FCA Legal Department provided a release neither the Certified Chrysler Mechanic at Hudson Valley Auto nor anyone else could service the vehicle because of the product concern." "Due to the product concern Milford Auto Group-Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram where Mr. Owens purchased the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, advised Mr. Owens that he could not sell his vehicle back to the dealer or trade it. Not only does the vehicle appear to be a lemon under New York Lemon Law, since it has been to the repair shop three times, but State Farm underestimated the amount of damage to the frame and transmission to avoid totaling the vehicle. Neither Chrysler nor State Farm have investigated the reason for the accidents. The faulty and non-existent investigation is an act of bad faith of State Farm and illegal. State Farm and Chrysler are suppressing the evidence contained in the CDR Crash Report from Field Coordinator James Brozovich (AA-AS/TSS- A). Bosch Automotive Services Solutions LLC. Because Mr. Owens only has one vehicle we remain in danger of additional potential serious injuries and even death. Not to mention the danger that the vehicle poses to the public. On June 5th, 2023, in a federal lawsuit that I filed, Stellantis contributed your repairs either in whole or in part for spoilage. Subsequently spoilage may reduce or eliminate my damages altogether. Therefore, you are liable to me now. Since I am suing the FCA, for failing to investigate, you now have incurred vicarious liability. Despite reading the Black Box CRD Crash Data, evidence of a vehicle malfunction, Chrysler is denying all liability, because of “spoilage”.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the front-end of the vehicle suddenly collapsed. The contact veered to the side of the road and noticed that the rear driver's side tire had deflated. Upon towing the vehicle, the contact noticed that the driver's side control arm was fractured. Shocks failed at under 50k miles and should not have had this issue at such a low mileage. I have a baby so driving a vehicle with shocks that have busted does not feel safe at all. Dealership has done a diagnostic and no longer under warranty, Extended warranty does not cover it as well. Stuck paying a diagnostic fee and shocks are on back order with 250 plus in line to get them.

This is the fourth time this has happened. I am scheduled to have the dealership begin to trouble shoot the issue again tomorrow. Upon the second time I took the vehicle to the dealership. They were unable to replicate the issue having had it in their possession for two weeks. I was driving to work this morning, driving downhill, turned on my turn indicator to take a right onto a highway on ramp, when in the middle of the turn complete electrical and engine failure. The radio, headlamps, turn signal, brake lights, power assisted braking and engine all cut out. The hazards worked, but no dash light indicator lit up letting me know. Only the glowing flash on the side of the road let me know. The dash was completely blacked out except for "shift to park to start". The steering didn't lock up thankfully, while pulling over I attempted to shift to neutral and start while in motion, nothing. I succeeded in coming to a stop on the shoulder shifted to drive, and the vehicle started right up. There were,and are no warning lights illumenated.

Bought jeep in December 2020. Currently at 8000 miles. In October 2021, the vehicle would not turn off. The push button would go between ACC and Start but not in the off. Dealership has never seen this and after 8 days, are not able to definitively tell me what the issue is. The assumption has been given that the car is not recognizing that the vehicle is in Park. This is an assumption as whatever diagnosis that is being done is not finding the error.

AFTER GETTING TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT MY NEW CAR WITH 329 MILES ON IT IS IN NEED OF A NEW ENGINE, NEW BATTERIES AND NEW STARTER. OF NOTABLE CONCERN ON THE REPAIR ORDER IS THE FOLLOWING: "WHAT IS PRESENT INSIDE INTAKE MANIFOLD IS PIECES OF METAL." WHILE THE CASE IS NOT YET CLOSED, CHRYSLER INFORMED ME THEY INTEND TO FIX THE VEHICLE UNDER WARRANTY AND RETURN IT TO ME. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AND I FEAR THE BLOWN ENGINE, DEAD BATTERIES AND STARTER COULD HAVE CAUSED ADDITIONAL, UNRECOGNIZED DAMAGE.

The front right suspension makes weird noises when going over bumps and when turning. The noises can be described as if there is something loose moving in the front suspension. It is very noticeable when you turn and go over a bump. You can also hear it when going over road imperfections. The vehicle vibrates at certain speeds. This might be caused by this suspension issue.

Hello dear….I suffer from a problem when I’m driving my truck and it’s as follows: when the gear is on D and my truck stopped ,and I stomp the gas pedal with a little force my truck keep going I can’t stopped for 40 seconds after which return to the normal driving state,this situation happened to me 5 times,I don’t know if the speed control cable can interfere with the speed control servo pulley and not allow the throttle to return to idle when disengaging the speed control (a stuck throttle could result)..,,

HOLDING THE "+" BUTTON DOWN FOR MORE THAN A SPLIT SECOND CAUSES THE SPEED TO QUICKLY INCREASE IN 5 MPH INCREMENTS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 65 MPH, I PRESSED THE "+" KEY AND WITHIN SECONDS THE SPEED CONTROL SETTING JUMPED TO 95 MPH. I HIT "CANCEL" AS FAST AS I COULD. IN JEEP'S 2017 AND 2019 MODELS THAT I OWNED THE SPEED INCREASED GRADUALLY WHEN THE "+" KEY WAS DEPRESSED. TH SELLING DEALERSHIP CHECKED OUT THE VEHICLE AND REPORTED TO ME THAT IT WAS WORKING AS DESIGNED. SEE ATTACHMENT.

UNKNOWN. Electronic Stability Control service light activated intermittently for a couple days along with the 4WD service light. After 2-3 days, the ESC light remained lit. Twice when starting the vehicle, the 4WD low was activated without manually shifting gears, in which changed to normal within a minute later. Intermittently, when the vehicle braked to a stop and switched gears to reverse, the vehicle shuttered before continuing in reverse. Another incident while driving and coming to a stop at a traffic light, upon coming to a stop, the vehicle seemed to almost stall but reengage. The vehicle is at approximately 41,500 miles as of 4/1/2025. The vehicle was taken to a Dodge dealership in which report the transfer case needed repair. With under 50,000 miles and utilizing the 4WD only approximately 4 times within the 5 years of ownership with no issue, the transfer case may be faulty or a software update needs to be performed.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Front passenger HID headlight on 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit V8, 45,000 miles. Yes How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Went out while driving at night, making it difficult to adequately see. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, it seems to be a known problem with these particular type of lights. I had a 2015 and it had the exact same issue. But before it was adequately diagnosed by the dealer, both headlights were affected and the fix was to replace the entire headlight assembly and replacement was quoted ~ $5000. I currently have the exact same model but 2020 and as of 6/18/25, it is starting to have the same issue. I called the dealer yesterday, 6/19, and was told that the lights are known not to last. If this is a "known" issue than why has Jeep continued to use the same lights putting people at risk at having headlights go out while driving???? Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, I immediately noticed my drive was darker and visibility was difficult in the dark.

Had to replace headlight then it went back out shortly after. The following week the other side went out. I looked it up and it showed that there were recalls for this problem. But am being told there is no recall on my vehicle for this.

The contact stated that while driving forward into a parking space the brake pedal was hard when pressed and the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration and crashed to the side of a building. After the incident, it was discovered that the front brakes had seized and the vehicle was undrivable. The contact indicated that during the crash the collision avoidance feature did not active. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer. A police report was taken at the scene. No injuries were reported. The manufacturer was notified of the crash and an engineer was sent to examine the vehicle. No further information was available. The failure mileage was 35,800.

My vehicle started flashing my seatbelt light when I was driving and I was buckled and then my airbag light came on and my automatic start and stop light came on and have stayed on. I took it into Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram and they charged me $203 to tell me that I don’t have any shorts in the seatbelt wire harness and they found a O.L (over limit) indicating that I have a internal open within the seat, buckle itself,causing the codes and the lights on the dash and that it’ll cost $541.26 to fix and it is not covered under any warranty, even though I just purchased the vehicle eight months ago and I’m under the 100,000 miles and just approaching the first 5 years. I should be covered. Now my airbags will not work and neither will my auto on and off features. This is a safety concern that should have a recall on it or be covered by Mopar.

My Jeep Cherokee has lost power twice. Once while idling at a red light and once while going 70 MPH on the Interstate. The gas pedal went to the floor without resistance and would not give any fuel to the engine. The lights were still on so I didn't lose power completely, but the engine was not responding. The recent recal 25V011000 sounds like what happened to my car, but the 2020 model is not included in the recall. I have taken it to the dealership, but they could not find anything wrong with it.

It was a clear day as I arrived at work. While pulling into a parking spot, the Jeep suddenly accelerated over a curb and into a tree. I was able to turn the wheel upon seeing the tree, which helped me avoid hitting other vehicles on the opposite side of the island. I had to depress the brakes multiple times before the vehicle finally stopped just short of another tree. During the incident, I was on a conference call. The attendees confirmed that there were no warning sounds from the vehicle—only the sound of the impact. Notably, the airbags did not deploy. The front driver-side area sustained extensive damage, causing the driver’s door to jam. Fortunately, I did not suffer any physical injuries. The vehicle was towed to an auto body repair shop. When connected to a scanner, no error codes were detected. Repairs took nearly five weeks. Although the front sensors were replaced, they still did not function properly. The shop consulted a technician who remoted in and advised them to replace all the sensors again and inspect the wiring. Although the vehicle has been repaired, I remain fearful of driving it. I’ve read similar reports on this board suggesting these issues may be related to the electrical system. I plan to contact the dealership to ask whether they have experience with such cases and if they can inspect the systems.

The contact owned a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated the vehicle had been driven for three hours and parked. Moments later, the vehicle was restarted and while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration. While pressing the brake pedal, the vehicle did not stop and continued to accelerate forward, and the speed increased. While attempting to avoid driving into a river, the contact made a left turn and crashed into a tree. After crashing into the tree, the vehicle continued to accelerate forward and began to increase speed. The contact shifted the transmission shifter to the park position, and the vehicle was stopped. During the incident, no injuries were reported, a police report was taken the next morning, and the vehicle was towed to a nearby towing facility. The vehicle was later examined by an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the failure was caused by a computer malfunction. No further information was available. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was 64,000.

It has been reported that this vehicle model has documented issues with rear drive shaft bushing failure, which may contribute to excessive play and vibration. Issue #2: The interior door trim applique has delaminated and broken. This issue has been previously reported in Service Bulletin 23-001-19 REV.B, Group: 23-Body, dated 8/10/2019, for a different Jeep model.

After filling the fuel tank and attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed that the battery and fuse box water pump had failed and were replaced. The failure persisted. The dealer inspected the vehicle again and then diagnosed that the Occupant Restraint Control module had failed and caused the air bag to deploy inadvertently, failed to deploy, and needed to be replaced. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V046000 (Air Bags); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. Driving down the interstate at 75mph, the vehicle all of a sudden lost the ability to accelerate and felt like it shifted into neutral. We were able to pull over to the side of the road safely and as we were getting out of the vehicle, we noticed flames shooting out from under the engine. My wife and I made it out safely and as we got about 100 yards away and looked back toward the vehicle, the entire front part of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. We sat along the side of the interstate and watched the vehicle burn for 20-25 minutes. We just had the vehicle in for service 6 days prior to get a new battery, a new aux battery, an advanced diagnostic, brake fluid exchange, and a fuel system service. The evening we picked up the vehicle from service, we got an email with a powertrain alert indicator. We then checked the app on the phone and everything in the powertrain section of the vehicle health report was green. I have several videos of the vehicle burning but it doesn't look like I can upload a video file.

Air bag sensor went off, took it to the dealer and they said it could be a loose wire. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle since there has been a recall for prior models due to a faulty sensor which could cause the airbags to malfunction in case of an accident. Also having problems with the screen delaminating.

I am reporting significant safety issues with my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X. The vehicle has repeatedly experienced failures in critical safety systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), ParkSense, and Lane Departure, which randomly disable while driving, particularly in cold weather or after a restart. These failures compromise essential safety functions necessary for highway driving and parking. Additionally, I encountered a severe issue regarding the vehicle’s lack of over-voltage protection. While charging the battery, it was accidentally exposed to 48 volts instead of 12 volts, resulting in damage to key electronic modules, including those controlling safety systems. This lack of protection from foreseeable charging errors is concerning, especially given the advanced electronics in modern vehicles. Other Jeep owners have reported similar issues related to voltage fluctuations affecting ACC, Lane Departure, and ParkSense systems. Battery-related issues seem to be directly linked to the failure of these critical safety features(Jeep Cherokee Club)(Jeep Forum). Voltage instability, particularly with the Engine Stop/Start (ESS) system, has also been widely discussed, further pointing to potential flaws in Jeep’s electrical design. Given the critical nature of these systems, their failures due to inadequate over-voltage protection and inconsistent electrical performance represent a serious safety risk. I request that NHTSA investigate these concerns, as they may be affecting a broader range of Jeep vehicles, putting drivers and passengers at risk. While a fire did not occur, the potential is there due to the burning of electronics with strong odors and smoke.

The front glass panel of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered. The car was going approximately 45-50 mph when a loud "bang" was heard. Broken glass could be heard inside the closed sunroof liner. Upon inspection, there was no physical damage to the front end of the car, hood, or roof indicating that something may have struck the car. An inspection of the sunroof showed a sizable hole in the middle of the sunroof glass panel with accompanying cracks in the sunroof safety glass. The car can be inspected upon request. The safety of the driver and passengers could have been compromised if the sunroof shade/liner was retracted. The problem has not been reproduced although the dealer has confirmed that incidences such as this have occurred. The vehicle has not been inspected at this time, but an inspection is scheduled. There were no warning lamps or other notifications alerting the driver to the malfunction

Purchased used 2020 Grand Cherokee at Christmas time 2023. Vehicle had 25640 miles on it. On April 24, 2024 while driving home maybe 2 miles from home, I was lucky not to crash when losing steering response.A Warning Message appeared on the Speedo, stating, “POWER STEERING UNAVAILABLE SERVICE REQUIRED “. 28K miles is about 2,400 miles driven to date. I drove straight home and made an appointment for service. Koons Chevrolet where I bought the car performed diagnostic testing to determine Replacement of the Steering Gear RACK AND PINION would require replacement and the repair $5800 parts and labor. The module is internal and not serviceable therefore the Whole Steering Gear must be replaced. Cost is prohibitive for a fairly new vehicle.

My Jeep is a 2020, and I recently bought it last June as a certified preowned vehicle from a Jeep dealership. I was having electrical and fuse problems when my moon roof on the vehicle stopped working. Recently driving home at night, I lost all lights on the vehicle. Headlight, high beams, brake lights and turn signals, the lights do not work on the vehicle and I was driving in the complete dark. My gas tank also was having issues and it does not allow me to fill the tank because it thinks it is always “full” even though it is not. I brought the vehicle to the dealership and they stayed I have a completely fried computer system as well as the vent tube on my gas tank is “clogged” and the entire gas tank needs to be replaced. I have owned the car for less than a year and a half, it is only three years old and the warranty JUST expired. There is no way a vehicle with only 32,000 miles has a completely failed computer system along with needs a full gas tank replacement. They are stating to fix the safety issue it is $2700. The manufacturer is taking zero responsibility. Roughly 6 months before I took it to them because I was having fuse issues.

This issue has now happened 3 times. The first time it happened I took it in and they said it was an auxiliary battery that was replaced. The issue is the vehicle will stall and shutoff completely because it is completely out of fuel even though the electronic gauge and the needle show it has gas in it. This Saturday we was driving on the interstate at around 70mph and it showed a little over a 1/4 tank on the needle and 130 miles to empty on the digital readout. It shutoff completely and we were almost hit on the interstate from behind I barely had enough coast to get over to the side of the road. The first time it happened it shutoff and was going much slower and it actually started back up and let me drive. The second time I was siting at the gas station with a little lesss than 1/4 showing on the needle and it shutoff and wouldn't start back until we pushed it to the pump and put gas in it. When this happens it never takes a full tank to fill it back up so there is gas in the vehicle.This is very dangerous.

I change my oil religiously on my 2020 Grand Cherokee, which has 67,000 miles on it. I went in today to change it at Bettenhausen Dodge (Bettenhausen Motor Sales Inc - Jeep, 8355 W 159th St, Tinley Park, IL 60477; [XXX] ; Phone: [XXX] ), and [XXX] , the service manager manager, told me I had no oil left in my car. He said something went wrong with a pump or something, and as a result I have no engine oil left.. And as a result some engine oil went into the radiator and other places. Plus, [XXX] added, they don't know yet if my engine is damaged as a result. Repairing only what they can see so far (i.e., radiator, pump, hoses etc and that's only if the engine was not damaged, which ostensibly they said they would check before work begins) will cost at least $4700. I asked why no "idiot red light" (as such warning lights used to be called, and such lights have been in every car I have owned since 1972) went on to alert me that there was NO ENGINE OIL LEFT in the car?? The manager said , none of their cars has a "low oil and/or no oil light". All they have is a computer program which informs the driver when to change the oil< and that computer warning system simply is based on miles driven, and it does not inform one if there is no engine oil or low oil. I can not hardly believe there is no red light to tell a person that there is low and/or no engine oil in the car!! The technology behind "idiot red lights" informing the driver of low oil and/or no oil has been around for over 70 years. I am i being lied to? What can I turn for help? After hitting a bump in the road, my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit began to violently wobble while being flat towed behind my motor home on I-475. Vehicles in close proximity of the Jeep I was towing were at risk as there was a possibility that the vehicle could have broken loose or flipped endangering others. It appears that this defect is already known to the manufacturer of the Jeep and other models have been proven to have a defect that causes what is known as the DEATH WOBBLE. Apparently, Jeep has bought back some vehicles with the DEATH WOBBLE defect. The vehicle is currently being analyzed by the Newnan Peachtree Jeep dealership in Newnan Georgia. The owner's manual clearly states that the vehicle can be flat towed with all four wheels on the ground. Instructions to flat tow the vehicle were followed as written. Jeep should be liable to the damage caused by this defect and do whatever it takes to remedy the problem. Buying back this Jeep from the owner should also be an option to the owner/customer.

The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle, he noticed there were cracks on the sidewalls of all four tires. The vehicle was equipped with original tires. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the tires had prematurely rotted. The tires were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was determined that the replacement tires had also dry rotted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Cherokee. While turning left at 10 MPH, the contact's vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal and it traveled to the floorboard. The contact stated that an unknown yellow warning light flashed on the instrument panel during the failure. Due to the failure, another motorist hit the rear driver-side door of her vehicle. The bottom and door air bags deployed upon impact; however, the no other air bags deployed. The other driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance; his injuries were unknown. The contact sustained no injuries in the accident. A police report was filed. The vehicle was initially towed to an independent tow yard and later towed to her home where it had yet to be diagnosed or repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

On July 1, 2022, in the morning, the right rear passenger door window in my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee spontaneously exploded and then, in the evening of the same day, the rear hatch window also spontaneously exploded. The vehicle was purchased new in June of 2020 and has been driven approximately 57000 miles. There was no evidence of damage to the windows prior to the explosions.

Screen constantly freezes and it's unresponsive for long periods of time, then reboots. Then the cycle repeats. Serious safety hazard as the back up camera image freezes on the screen and doesn't change, even though your moving and the image video should have changed. I bought my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk used from Carmax and after barely having it 7 months it is now totaled by Insurance company. The reason: driving home from work on state highway at approx. 45mph on November 24, 2021 after dark. Came over rise in road to see about 10 vehicles completely stopped in front of me about 100 yards away. I applied the brakes and nothing happened. Took foot off brake pedal & tried again... nothing. I had to swerve off road to keep from running into back of vehicle(s) stopped in front of me. Was able to safely miss damaging/injuring any other vehicles/people. Struck a tree on the left front of Jeep. Applying brakes did not stop or slow my Jeep Grand Cherokee's speed. When tree was struck at approx. 45mph the airbags did not even deploy.

The vehicle starts jerking at a high rate of speed that become dangerous. Often times the vehicle will shut off on its own. Also the unconnect system goes out a lot. Another problem going wrong with the jeep is that the back window Always makes noise as if it would crack or something.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after refueling and attempting to drive out of the service station, the vehicle independently accelerated to 60 mph. The contact was able to shift into neutral and drove the vehicle into a field and the vehicle returned to normal function. Additionally, the gear shifter was not operating as intended. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The mechanic located the wiring that failed and was able to return the vehicle to normal function. The contact also wanted to state that the dealer was unable to specify what caused the vehicle to independently accelerate. The gear shifter was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.

VEHICLE IN MOTION CITY & HIGHWAY. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE DIES. THE ENGINE TURNS OFF, ALL THE LIGHTS DIE, NO STEERING, DASHBOARD & RADIO DIE. A FEW SECONDS LATER THE ENGINE RESTARTS ON ITS OWN, LIGHTS COME ON, DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP AND RADIO WORKS. THE ONE REMAINING ISSUE THAT INDICATES THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE RADIO COMPLETE RESETS TO WHAT I BELIEVE IS THE ORIGINAL SETTINGS. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS ACQUIRED. IT HAS BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIPS MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY OF COURSE CAN NOT DUPLICATE SO THEY SEND ME ON MY WAY. THEY HAVE HELD THE JEEP TO DRIVE BUT CLAIM THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE. PURCHASED NEW IN SEPTEMBER. CURRENTLY HAS 2100 MILES. CRUISE CONTROL "STICKS" AND FAILS TO DISENGAGE AT THE CONTROLS. WHEN THE ACCELERATE CONTROL IS DEPRESSED AND RELEASED, THE VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE WITHOUT CAPPING THE INCREASE IN ACCELERATION UNTIL THE SYSTEM IS DISENGAGED WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL. VERY DANGEROUS! THIS SCENARIO OCCURS BOTH AT LOWER AND HIGHER SPEEDS OVER 55.

WE HAD TO GET IT TOWED ONLY FOR THE DEALER SHIP TO TAKE SEVERAL HOURS TO REPLACE A SPARK PLUG. - AT ALMOST ALL TIME THERE THE AIR CONDITIONER NEVER SEEMS TO GET TO THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE FOR MORE THAN 20 SECONDS. WHEN AT A STOP, THE A/C IS NON EXISTENCE AND TEMPS DROP SIGNIFICANTLY. UNLESS YOU HAVE IT SET TO MAX A/C IT WILL NEVER FEEL COLD/HOT. - THE TRANSMISSION IS EXTREMELY ROUGH AT ALL TIMES, IT CAN JERK YOU BACK AND FORTH WHILE IT SWITCHES GEAR.

WAS PULLING INTO SHOP ON NICE SUNNY DAY. I TURNED TAKING A RIGHT OFF ROAD AND SOME LADY SWERVED RIGHT OFF ROAD AND HIT ME DOING 50MPG. I DID SEE ONE BLACK OVAL SHAPED AIRBAG BEHIND THE FRONT DRIVER TIRE AFTERWARDS. JEEP WAS TOTALED. FRONT END WAS DEMOLISHED LOOKED LIKE A BIG MOUTH. BOTH WHEELS WERE TURNED IN AND BUSTED. I WAS SLOWLY BACKING INTO A DRIVEWAY WHEN THE JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. I REPEATEDLY HIT THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT THE JEEP WOULDN'T STOP; INSTEAD IT KEPT GOING FASTER. IT SMASHED INTO THE GARAGE DOOR AND THE BRICK WALL OF THE GARAGE, DEMOLISHING THEM. THE JEEP WAS BRAND NEW WITH ONLY 500 MILES DRIVEN, AND IT WAS EQUIPPED WITH A COMPLETE SAFETY PACKAGE THAT SHOULD HAVE AUTOMATICALLY STOPPED IT BEFORE AN IMPENDING IMPACT BUT IT DID NOT DO SO. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE AND IT FELT LIKE A NIGHTMARE.
