Something shot out of the engine and caused a large hole the car never overheated and oil changes were done properly. The dealership says sometimes these things just happen and is unable to tell me what shot through the engine.

The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, there were severe misfires in the engine which could be associated with the vehicle jerking, and then jolting forward while going uphill. The check engine warning light had been illuminated for almost a year and the oil light was frequently illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing excessive oil consumption. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with ignition cylinder compression failure, and the engine consuming an excessive amount of oil. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired because the vehicle was not under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 119,747.

Related to recall V54, Engine Cooling Fan abruptly stopped working causing the vehicle to overheat and having to have costly dealer repairs. I was told that my VIN # was not included in the the recall but did experience the exact Issue listed in recall. Replaced Fan not knowing about this recall only to still have engine computer issues now with vehicle related to overheating. Currently at a dealership with a month waiting time to repair.

Jeep renegade 2017 fuel pump recall fail. Check engine light on after the recall. diagnostic shows evap leak from the fuel pump assembly. Dealership refuse to hold responsibility of the recall. It has been 5 months already. Tech smells gasoline from the backseat and it is a fire hazard.

Gas pump keeps shutting off every 2 second. It is only 2017 model with 59000 mileage, and I can't even pass the smog check. I feel like I should report this, cause major japanese car never have this kind of problem.

My vehicle runs out of gas at 1/4 display on the fuel gauge. The steering stopped working in my car turns off stating I have 48 miles. It’s extremely dangerous this is happened twice already live on the car for two years.

I should have still had gas in my tank according to my dash. I had just pulled into a parking space at a store and my car just stopped running. Ended up getting it towed and checked over all to find out my car was out of gas. If I was driving and this happened it would not have ended good. No lights popped up on my dash. I showed I had plenty of gas still. Since then I have kept it at half a tank or over and each time I fill up it is taking a different amount of fuel. I have no idea what is happening and I have not had the time or money yet to take this in to figure out what is happening. The Jeep only has 55,564 miles on it and I keep up regular maintenance. I have not had any issues since I bought this in April 2021 until now. I have had an older car in my past do this to me and was almost hit by another car because of it. I do not feel this should be happening to a car with this low of miles. I will be taking the car in soon to get inspected more but figured this should be something I should make you aware of.

I was driving down the road and my latched my sky roof panel flew up in the air while I was driving. Thankfully it stayed attached to the latch and I pulled off the road quickly so the entire panel did not fly off into traffic. I was also only driving 35 miles per hour so that helped too.

Unknown this vehicle shuts off while in drive when it says it needs an oil change or if the oil is low. It doesn't even give you the warning before, it just shuts off while your driving. This has happened to me many times where I've almost been in an accident. Most recently today when in my kids school drop off line. It just completely shut.

My oil light indicator came on month after I had my oil changed. The jeep literally shut off on me when I was driving on a MAIN road at 45 miles an hour. This happened to me 3 times yesterday I had no safe place to pull over. I was stuck in the middle of the road with hazards on hoping no one would crash into me! I looked up recalls for my jeep and there is a recall for a cracked oil component on this jeep. But it's saying no recalls on my jeep! I looked at the symptoms of it and did some research and apparently the car shutting off is a symptom of that. I bought this jeep last year and have spent hundreds of dollars trying to diagnosis the problem but always ended up with an oil change a month after I've already had one. Im terrified this will happen again.

I was driving and all of a sudden the “Service Transmission” light came on and my car would not go past the first gear. The light went off and my car went back to normal. It has been doing this on and off for about 4 days. I took it to Landers Chrysler Jeep and Dodge of Norman Oklahoma and they did a diagnostic. They said it needs a software update but they refused to fix it. I took it to a mechanic and they stated that there is nothing mechanically wrong with the transmission, it is completely software related.

Vehicle Safety Complaint Report: 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude The sunroof assembly failed. The entire unit appears to be permanently bonded to the roof, rather than designed for modular replacement. This design flaw makes the issue unserviceable without replacing the entire roof structure. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The sunroof will not close, which: -Makes the vehicle unfit for safe driving in any weather condition. -Increases the risk of loose objects being sucked out at high speeds, potentially striking other vehicles or pedestrians. -Leaves the interior exposed to rain or wind, reducing driver visibility and focus. -Weakens the structural integrity of the roof in the event of a rollover Presents a theft and vandalism risk due to an unsecured vehicle. This vehicle has a double sunroof, meaning nearly the entire roof is compromised when the system fails. The exposure affects both front and rear passengers, greatly increasing risk for everyone inside and for other drivers on the road. A service center confirmed that the sunroof cannot be simply repaired or replaced because it is glued into the roof. They explained that repair would require replacing the entire roof, which is thousands of dollars and not covered by any active recall or warranty. The issue has been reviewed by a service technician. At this time, the manufacturer has not formally inspected it, but the vehicle is available for inspection. There were no warning lamps or alerts. The failure occurred suddenly—the sunroof stopped closing and became stuck. This occurred without any prior mechanical symptoms or electrical malfunction warnings.

Check engine light and transmission light illuminates for 1-2 days and then goes away. Took to dealership twice. Turned away first time because lights came off. Second time, dealership kept car and did diagnostics. Informed me that nothing was wrong with vehicle, but BCM is faulty and will illuminate when nothing is wrong.

The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the mechanic refueled the vehicle, and the vehicle was jump started. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to a service station where the vehicle was refueled, and the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was determined that the fuel gauge needle displayed incorrectly that there ¼ tank of fuel however, the fuel tank was empty. The contact was informed that the instrument panel needed to be reprogrammed. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V485000 (Electrical System). The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

All warning lights will flash and the car is unable to be out in drive, the car will not shut off unless the battery is disconnected. Dealership charged 5000 to replace an electrical harness at 34000 miles. Car is again flashing warning lights while driving such as emergency brake on, key fob left the vehicle, fuel engine, all of these are occurring while driving. There is a recall but on this year and model but this jeep is not included in the recall.

Cracked oil pump housing/balance shaft module (BSM). The checking engine light came on, and the system requested an oil change after only 3k from the last oil change. I brought it to the mechanic, and the oil was refilled, and the checking engine light turned off. The vehicle keeps asking for an oil change. I opened the hood, and oil was splashed all over, leaving oil stains on the inside of the hood, hoses and surrounding surfaces.

The contact stated that the engine revved significantly as if the transmission was shifting to a higher gear. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Tyson Motor (1 SW Frontage Rd, Shorewood, IL 60404), where it was test-driven, but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 27,500.

As I was driving on the freeway my car suddenly started to act and feel different. I had the ability to exit the freeway immediately and thankfully made it to a parking lot where my engine eventually died. I had the vehicle towed to my mechanic where he determined the rocker arm (attached to the mutli air actuator) on cylinder 4 broke and caused the engine to malfunction. Had I been unable to exit the freeway I would have been a road hazard and in an unsafe situation. My mechanic replaced the multi air actuator and the cam shaft. He also confirmed that he has seen this exact issue in other chrysler vehicles, specifically jeeps.

The Renegade makes a loud noise coming from the rear of the vehicle at about 35 mph and begins to dissipate at around 45 mph when the car is in Drive. If I move the drive selector to manual shifting, the noise goes away for the most part. If I turn OFF the traction control, the noise disappears completely. I'm not real excited about turning off the traction control system as this could enhance the dangers of driving with reduced traction control. This happens without fail.

While accelerating on freeway, engine suddenly turned off. Fuel pump went out, and I had to coast to safety avoiding traffic. Having to move lanes into the shoulder was incredibly scary once my momentum dropped to 15mph on a freeway alongside cars going 85+. It almost caused 2 separate accidents where others had to slam on their brakes. I noticed other renegades have recalls for this, I’m curious why mine does not when I enter in the vin?

My fuel gauge went bad, resulting in me running out of gas when it stated I had over 1/4 tank left. So that $80 tow bill was fun. Also, my coolant temperature light just started coming on today, reaching all the way up to the top and red light when I was idling at stop lights. It would return to middle while driving, then ramp up to the top when idling. By searching the recalls with my VIN, it states I have no recalls to fix. However, after speaking with an FCA Recall Center representative, I was told to take it into a dealership so they could diagnose it as a manufacturing defect. Let me also state I'm not thrilled with this dealership and they have been sneaky in the past, gaslighting me about the excessive oil consumption and blaming me, when it was a recall that they later fixed (James River Jeep, Ozark, Missouri).

After getting gas on two occasions, today being the worst, my car shut off as I was exiting the gas station. My vehicle has started rough on a few other occasions, which I have spoken to my dealership. To which I was told maybe I wasn’t pushing the start button long enough. I was clearly concerned for my safety and my mothers because she was in the vehicle with me. I was also concerned for the oncoming traffic. I have taken it to the dealership for a diagnostic test because the engine light comes on and off. The code came up for a slight evap leak. I have been waiting for that part for about 3 months now. This usually only happens after I get gas. I am so worried that it’s going to start happening all the time or I am going to get into a bad accident.

I have a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The engine needs to be completely replaced due to faulty manufactured engine. It would randomly turn off or stall, or sometimes engine kept turning and wouldn’t start. The bearings broke off inside the engine and now JEEP is trying NOT to cover it and I can’t get any help after speaking to 7 diff Case Managers. There has been zero help from them in regards to their liability in this. There is already a class action lawsuit filed, in 2020. It is sad that they are handling clients this way. I was very nice and I work in customer service so I understand what is possible etc. The Jeep mechanic locally , called on my case to verify and tell them that my engine needs to be replaced as a direct correlation of the recalled parts and that they were on back order for months. During those months I tried to have recalled parts replaced and couldn’t because the parts are on back order. During this time my warranty became invalid, because I exceeded 60,000 miles. I’m currently at 62,000 miles. At the time I attempted to have recalls fixed I was under 60,000 miles. Secondly the warranty expires In 2022. Regardless , the recalls caused the engine needing to be replaced. Please advise what my options are to ensure I don’t have to pay to replace the whole engine. Thank you

While driving, the Service Engine warning came on and was followed by the Coolant Temperature High Warning roughly 5 minutes after. The somewhat cool air coming out turned hot, even with the settings set to Max Cool Air. Turned the vehicle off and found the engine code P0481 Fan 2 Control Circuit, I allowed the car to cool before checking fuses for the Cooling Fan. The F07 Engine Cooling Fan had a 40 Amp Fuse that was blown (Note: the owner manual states the 40 Amp fuse is for the 1.4 without A/C, the 50 Amp Red was required for a 1.4 with A/C and all 2.4 models). A new 50 Amp Maxi Fuse was installed and the car A/C cooled down for approximately 15 minutes. Then the coolant temperature started to rise again and white/grey smoke came out from under the hood. Thankfully I was able to find a safe place to stop my car, but I was driving with smoke obscuring my vision which was a serious safety issue that would have caused an accident especially if I had made it on the highway. The cooling fan was shaking and very noisy even as the car was turned off. After cooling down, the fuse was checked again and verified okay. So the cooling fan was replaced. Upon replacement, the A/C and coolant temperature were normal. But the service engine light remained and the code P0481 refused to clear. Currently monitoring the coolant temperature and new fan.

This Jeep Renegade model have had various problems including rapid oil loss caused by cracks in the oil pump housing, as well as a loss in fuel pressure and I believe I’m experiencing these problems and there hasn’t been a recall for me vehicle so Id like to see if it needs to be recalled

As she made multiple attempts to start the vehicle, she heard an abnormal ticking noise emit from the vehicle. The contact had her vehicle jump-started and the vehicle resumed normal operation. As the contact began driving at 40 MPH, the vehicle started to hesitate upon the depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. my grandfather has own he renegade since it came out in 2017. it has had nothing but issues most of which as his granddaughter i had fixed. but the last at least year I've had his vehicle illuminate a check engine light. Especially in very wet weather, cold or hot weather. If it's a normal 65-degree days for a few days, it will go off. it's a very intermittent light. that you have to catch. Taken to AutoZone, dealership, etc. It's a P0420 code which is failed catalytic converter. called and spoke to Stellantis, Mopar customer service multiple times. it's not an issue they refuse to acknowledge. also pricing for a catalytic converter isn't possible. because the only available ones are on back order hard.

When you get up to 29-30 mph the vehicle will jerk. Sometimes so hard it feels like you have been hit in the back in. I took it in 3 times to be checked out. This is the explanation they gave me for why my car does this. That newer vehicles get used to one person driving it and when someone else does then goes back to the original person it knows this. So it is trying to relearn the driving pattern. I know cars are a lot smarter now. Not that smart though. I know something is making it do this. No one can give me a real explanation.

MY CAR STALLED AND TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. I WAS IN MOTION TURNING FROM ONE ROAD ONTO ANOTHER IN JULY 2020 AND AGAIN 2X ON DEC 23RD, 2020 WITHOUT ANY WARNING. IN JULY THE DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS A "SAFETY FEATURE" FOR THE ENGINE TO TURN OFF IF THE OIL IS LOW. IT HAD BEEN 4,729 MILES SINCE MY LAST OIL CHANGE DONE BY THE JEEP DEALER WITH SYNTHETIC OIL (WHICH IS GOOD FOR 6,000 MILES). WHEN I HAD THE OIL CHECKED AFTER IT STALLED ON DEC 23RD THE OIL WAS 4 QUARTS LOW! THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL FOR OTHER 2017 JEEP RENEGADES WITH THE 2.4L ENGINE, BUT MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED. THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR MY YEAR MAKE AND MODEL CAR FILED ON JULY 21ST, 2020 FOR THIS SAME EXACT PROBLEM.

While driving my car, all of a sudden all my icons on my dashboard will light up. My car will die in the middle of driving it and once I put it in park it won't restart. Also when driving it seems like not enough gas is going through to get it to move. I can be driving my car for 15 to 20 minutes and all of a sudden it dies in the middle of the road. This is the 3rd time it has happened to me since owning it all withing the last year.. It is unsafe for me to have my car die in the middle of the road while traffic is all around me. Something is absolutely wrong with my car. Yet I put in my vin for my particular car and it doesn't show a recall but on the 2017 Jeep Renegades there have been recalls for fuel pumps electrical and not enough fuel pressure.

There is a recall on the 2017 renegade but somehow my jeep isn’t on the list even though I am having the exact issue - they think the oil pump isn’t working correctly. The vehicle just stops driving when in drive. Which is terrifying. It happened twice and we contacted FCA twice to have them do nothing. They said we have to drive the vehicle for 2000 miles in order to read the oil level - which is nuts. I can’t get in a vehicle that just stops working while driving, it’s a huge liability. It’s been sitting at the service department in a dealership for a year and a half and no one will help.

VEHICLE WILL STALL OUT WHEN DRIVING, GOING LESS THAN 40 MILES PER HOUR. SYSTEM DOES NOT SHUT DOWN. DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A BATTERY OR ELECTRICAL ISSUE. HAD THIS HAPPEN 3 TIMES IN A MONTH. PULLED OVER INTO PARK & HAD TO RESTART THE CAR. LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IN FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. MECHANIC REFERRED ME TO DEALERSHIP AS THEY COULD ONLY DETERMINE A LOW OIL CONSUMPTION/ PRESSURE. TERRIBLE KNOCKING SOUND IN FRONT AS WELL. VERY CONCERNED AS OTHER JEEPS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SIMILAR ISSUES, BUT MY 2017 RENEGADE LATITUDE IS NOT UNDER THE RECALL. HUGE SAFETY CONCERN.

1st issue was the a/c unit which mechanic said was a factory defective part. Replaced under warranty & now is not working again. 2nd issue is coolant & flushing system. replaced las year & mechanic said it was a factory defective part. This was 2 different mechanics. I just had my car overheat on me again nearly a year later with sludge in the tank AGAIN. I AM PAYONG WAYYYYY TOO MUCH MONEY for this to be on me again! I need repairs done at your cost and a car to drive.

When driving down Interstate 35, my vehicle stalled in the middle of traffic. I was able to coast to the shoulder of the interstate. Once I was out of harms way, I attempted to start my vehicle again; it would start, but at any attempt to put transmission in drive, it would stall. After the vehicle sat for approximately 10 mins, the vehicle started and I continued to my destination with no problems. Two days later, the same thing happened when taking my grandchildren to school. The vehicle stalled in the middle of the road; a Good Samaritan helped me push the vehicle out of the road. Once again, after several attempts to start it, the vehicle would die when trying to put in drive, but after a short time, it started and continued with no problems. Due to multiple electronic, wiring, and unexplainable issues I have had with this vehicle in the past, I began researching issues others had reported to various sites, and it was the first time I had seen an option to report to NHTSA. I had a similar issue in March of last year; my vehicle was at three different shops. The first two could not determine how to fix it. The third shop (after weeks of trying to determine the problem) replaced an ignition coil. It ran good until this incident. This is most definitely a safety concern as it happens unexpectedly with no warning at all.

My car is stalling as I drive. It is completely shutting off. I had recall w84 performed. The problem is believed to be the recall UB2. This has been confirmed by a dealer. I am afraid for my life and believe that this defect will likely cause a crash.

The rear windows do not properly stop causing damage to the rubber window/door frame. When put up, they pass through the insert ripping the rubber trim. This also causes a space in the bottom of the window a child can stick their finger through. If not aware, when the window is lowered a finger can be severely broken

Vehicle started from cold and as I was going to reverse, overheating warning light came on and the engine shut off. Scary, if this would have happened on the road or worse on the freeway I could have caused an accident. After I attempted to start it, and all warning lights came on and shut down again. this happened on 1-13-23. Vehicle had not been driven.

The windows on the Jeep Renegades over extend when putting them up, thereby tearing out the top of the housing causing leaks and possible electrical damage in the door panels. This also creates a whistle noise coming through the torn housing when driving. The AC works harder to heat and cool the cabin because of the poor air seal, causing drivers to burn more fuel and stress the components of the vehicle. I called my service department and got quoted me over $800 for two window seal repairs. He also told me that he see this on nearly every Jeep Renegade that comes in for service. This is a problem Jeep should be aware of as it is costing their customers expensive repairs. I purchased this car (2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude 2.4) November 2021 and noticed the problem after the purchase so, this problem was existing prior to my ownership.

ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON; TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER (HAVE AN CHRYSLER?JEEP FACTORY EXTENDED WARRANTY. I WAS INFORMED THAT BECAUSE THE OXYGEN SENSOR HARNESS WAS CHEWED BY A RODENT (PROBABLY A CHIPMUNK) THAT THE WARRANTY WOULD COVER REPAIR. I HAVE SINCE OUT THAT THE SHEATHING FOR WIRES USED BY THE MANUFACTURE IS MADE FROM SOYBEAN OIL OR PEANUT BASED OIL. I ASK IS THIS, MY FAULT OR THE MANUFACTURERS FAULT? While attempted to stop at traffic light. Brake caliper on right passenger tire only locked. Causing vehicle to swerve into oncoming traffic in parallel lane while I attempted to gain control. Vehicle was inspected by local brake and tire company on 12/7/22. It was explained by said company that for only one brake caliper to be affected to the point of needing to be replaced was extremely uncommon. Considering vehicle was purchased with 8 existing miles. Vehicle currently has 83,000 miles.

I was in aware the driver side door wasn’t completely closed the indicator wasn’t on as I pulled out of a parking lot turning right I guess the door moved enough to set off the indicator and that in turn triggered the electric parking brake and the car locked down as a huge dump truck is coming towards me… I had plenty of space to pull out but when the brakes locked down now I’m stuck with seconds from unpact it takes 9 seconds to deactivate the epb having to be fully stopped push the brake pedal hit the button and wait for it to unlock I had about 4 my only option was to floor it dragging my rear end into the next lane then jump into the left turn lane because there was a semi coming in the other lane…. This accessory almost killed me it’s only a matter of time before people start being killed by a brake that will suddenly lock down for now good reason and in all my research there is no way to disable it from operation now I have flat spots on both my tires

TOOK THE JEEP TO DEALER FOR PA STATE INSPECTION . DURING THE INSPECTION IT WAS REVEALED A PROBLEM WITH A REAR DISK BRAKE. THE INSIDE PAD HAS WORE OUT DO TO NOT RETRACTING. THIS JEEP HAS A ELECTRIC EMERGENCY BRAKE. I FEEL THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS SYSTEM, CAUSING IT NOT TO RETRACT THE INSIDE PAD. THE PAD A WORE COMPLELY OUT DAMAGING THE DISK. I HAD TO HAVE THE REAR BRAKES REPLACED. JEEP HAS ONLY 23000 MILES ON IT. I BELIEVE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE ELECTRIC EMERGENCY BRAKE NOT WORKING RIGHT. AT 14,024 MILES, FRONT BRAKES WERE MAKING A GRINDING METAL TO METAL NOISE WHENEVER APPLIED. UPON MECHANICAL INSPECTION, MY FRONT ROTORS (BOTH SIDES) WERE DEEPLY GROOVED BUT MY BRAKE PAD WAS STILL AT 90%THICKNESS, ALTHOUGH THERE SEEMED TO BE SMALL CHIP AT CORNER OF BRAKE PAD. I was in a t-bone accident involving my 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. The accident was severe enough to yield the vehicle undrivable and insurance has tentatively declared it a total loss (claim not yet finalized). I had a passenger in the front seat at the time of the accident and we were both surprised that no airbags were deployed in the accident. We were wearing seatbelts and fortunately the only injuries sustained were bruising, but without seatbelts injuries would have been far worse. The Jeep was purchased with approximately 25K miles on the odometer, had only one previous owner, and had no record of accidents, damage, deployed airbags, or recalls. At time of the accident, the odometer had around 54K miles, there were no warning lamps or messages, had still not been in any prior accidents, had been regularly maintained, and exhibited no symptoms or problems. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT TOW YARD. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. The rear driver side tail light, brake light, and turn signal stopped functioning at one time while driving (leaving a parking lot). Warning indicators for all 3 appeared on the dash notice area. Checked all lights and fuses for the 3 lights to ensure nothing was damaged or blown. All were fine. The issue is the center pin for the ground wire connecting the rear lighting housing had melted. This was determined after searching online for assistance to figure out the issue, as the lights and fuses were all in working order. Apparently this is extremely common in the 2017 Jeep Renegade specifically. It is a costly repair, which most people cannot repair themselves, myself included.

Left Rear Brake Light, Blinker and reverse light stopped working simultaneously. Bulbs replaced, so not operating. Found multiple complaints online and discovered the ground to the tail light was burnt and the board and pigtail connector had to be replaced.

My vehicle has suddenly shown warning lights for brake light out, head light out, both turn signals out, running lights out. Basically saying all my lights suddenly burnt out. There is a recall on 2017 Jeep renegades for the exact problem I’m having but it doesn’t show my vehicle included, it says no unrepaired recalls. They have determined this can cause an accident as the lights are not really out, and so the driver has no idea when the lights actually do go out. This is dangerous

On 7/26/2024 I was driving my 2017 Jeep Renegade 1.4L Eastbound on I-70 going ~65mph. My dash had zero warning lamps or messages and there were no other symptoms of any problem yet suddenly at mile marker 188 my engine had no power, abundant smoke exited my tailpipe and engine, and I was forced to immediately pull over into a shallow construction zone with heavy interstate traffic whizzing past us. I turned my vehicle off and just turned the power back on for any information. Only then did the check engine light illuminate. I searched through my dash indicators and saw that there was simply no reading for Oil Temperature. I have immaculate maintenance records since the day I purchased my vehicle in 2019 including regular full synthetic oil and filter changes (on average 2,989 miles for years). I had two multi-point vehicle inspections at my original dealer (my due diligence maintenance before my extended warranty expired) around 2,000 miles, an oil change 1,038 miles, and a cooling system pressure test at 1,029 miles before this incident occurred. I had two independent, certified mechanic companies diagnose and confirm my vehicle condition: Cylinder 1 had no compression with a crack in the piston. My vast research on Jeep Renegades with 1.4L and 2.4L engines validates all my issues. I believe this catastrophic engine failure at a shocking odometer reading of 61,881 is due to a defect and it puts me and others at major safety risk. This was my second financially offensive event as my first involved having to replace my clutch system at mile 45,057 for ~$4,500 despite having owned and properly operated other manuals with no issue for years. In addition to the cost of maintenance, multiple expensive repairs, numerous towing events, mechanic diagnostics, renting cars when this Jeep failed me, I am now looking at a $10,000 engine fix for a historically unreliable vehicle. I WENT TO CHANGE THE FOG LIGHT BULBS BUT BOTH FOG LIGHTS HAVE MELTED THE HOUSING AND TURNED THE LENS BROWN. THE BULBS ARE MELTED TO THE HOUSING PREVENTING THE BULB FROM BEING ABLE TO BE REPLACED. IT NEEDS THE WHOLE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY REPLACED.

Engine malfunction with unpredictable times of hard shift jolting. It's a concern while driving and frightened when it happens. Not sure if this could get worse and could be a safety risk. Took to a dealer. Did not act up when they checked it. It has to be driven all the time to catch when it decides to act up. Happens between 2 to 3 and down from 4th to 3rd gear. No engine light indicates a problem. When I had other things fixed, I had mechanic to check it out. Invoice mentioned what was fixed but nothing stating about them running a test on what I have additionally been experiencing with the jolt as it shifts since it didn't do it at the time. Had transmission flushed hoping it would help but still does it.

There is something wrong with the oil system. My 2017 Jeep Renegade burns through the oil, really bad. At approx 25,000 miles, I took it to the dealership, they ran a test and said I am within specs of burning a quart of oil for every 600 miles. What?? On a brand new vehicle? I have also experienced the vehicle shutting down in the middle of the highway! Dangerous and Scary! I will be driving along and all of a sudden the vehicle just shuts down, it takes a couple attempts to get it restarted. I put in a 1/2-1 quart of oil and it runs again. This shutting off in the middle of the road has been happening since 25,000 miles and I now have 119,000 miles.

I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WILL JERK REALLY HARD. THIS HAPPENS WHEN I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, WHEN I SLOW DOWN AND PICK UP THE SPEED OR JUST DRIVING NORMAL. THE DEALER SAID IT HAD TO IMITATE THE PROBLEM SO HE CAN KNOW WHAT TO FIX. SO IT DID IMITATE THE JERK SO HE WANTED TO DRIVE IT HISSELF CAUSE HE SAID THE WAY I WAS DRIVING CAUSED THE CAR TO JERK. I TOLD HIM I HAD THIS CAR 2 YEARS AND IT HAS NEVER DONE THAT. SO IT CAN'T BE THE WAY I'M DRIVING. I'VE BEEN DRIVING THE SAME THE WHOLE WHILE I'VE HAD THE VEHICLE. THEY HAVE GAVE THE CAR BACK TO ME AND IT'S DOING THE SAME THING EVEN WORSE. . The contact pulled over into a service station re-inflated the front driver’s side tire, but the failure reoccurred. The contact became aware that the front driver’s side was flat, and the contact replaced the tire however, the failure recurred several times. P215V60R17 Car was driving with a shimmy as if wheel was not balanced, then low pressure warning came on. Display gives tire PSI and it showed left front tire low and losing 1 psi per 2 minutes approx. Stopping to check which revealed belts were exposed and tread was missing in one spot in center of tread and air was leaking here. Tread was normal (about half worn) on rest of tire except edge opposite the damaged area where edge was very worn. This was not normal wear or abuse as tire was not run flat or anything similar.

I was traveling on the highway at approximately 65mph at rush hour and my vehicle's accelerator stopped working, therefore rapidly slowing down my vehicle without any messages or notifications as to why. I barely got my car to the shoulder of the highway before the accelerator became completely firm and would not allow my car to move forward any further. This happened in a span of a few seconds. Before putting my car in park, it said I needed to put it in park and depress the brake in order to shift into drive. This is the 2nd time my car has become disabled abruptly on the highway and thr first time it was taken to the jeep dealership where they said it was a fuel pump and electrical system and that my car ran out of gas without it showing I was on empty. The gauge read just short of the empty mark both times before becoming disabled but the light never came on saying I was almost out of gas.

My 2017 Jeep Renegade is at a dealership for the third time. When I am accelerating at around 29 MPH, there is a sudden jerk. It also occurs around 53 MPH. It startles me every time this event occurs. Each time, I pay a deductible and the problem isn't fixed. Retirement isn't conducive to $500 repair bills. Can you help? This is definitely a problem with this model and needs to be rectified.

I HAD JUST LEFT FOR WORK TODAY, DRIVING ON THE STREET, WHEN 2017 JEEP RENEGADE DESERT HAWK SUDDENLY STALLED I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TRIED A SECOND TIME AND ENGINE SPUTTERED AND EVENTUALLY STARTED. LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT HAS ALSO BEEN FLASHING ON WHEN MAKING QUICK TURNS. ONLY STAYS ON A COUPLE OF SECONDS. The first generation with the 1.4l turbo engine. Had two air lines coming off of the air filter container. They are solid and break when the dealer does the courtesy check during oil changes. It is a common problem showing online and the dealers do not take responsibility for it

EVER SINCE THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER 2019, MY RENEGADE HAS BEEN STALLING WHEN I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. IT STARTED OUT TO BE A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT IT NOW DOES IT EVERY TIME I TURN IT ON AND DRIVE. IT HAS STALLED ON ME WHEN I HAVE BEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY ROADS AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS. I NOTICE THAT IT WILL STALL IF I AM TURNING A CORNER OR IF I HAVE JUST STARTED IT UP AND DRIVING OFF WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES. WHILLE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON A CITY STREET AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN AND DESCENDING A SMALL HILL THE VEHICLE "SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT" ILLUMINATES, CHIMES AND THE VEHICLE TRANSMISSION LOCKS INTO A RANDOM GEAR (TYPICALLY 3 OR 5TH GEAR) AND REMAINS IN THIS GEAR. IT HAPPENS OVER HALF OF THE TIME AND RESULTS IN A VERY UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITION AS THE VEHICLE IS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY OR MAINTAIN ADEQUATE SPEED DEPENDING ON THE GEAR IN WHICH IT IS STUCK. THE VEHICLE HAS TO DODGE TRAFFIC AND PULL OVER IN A SAFE PLACE WHERE THE VEHICLE CAN BE SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED, WHICH IN MOST CASES WILL RESET THE TRANSMISSION AND ALLOW IT TO FUNCTION CLOSER TO NORMAL. FCA IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DEALER HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTING TO REMEDY THIS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR 6 MONTHS. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, THE TRANSMISSION, THE EVAP CANISTER AND THE FUEL PUMP. FCA AND THE DEALER ARE STATING THIS IS "NORMAL" FUNCTION AND THAT THE TURN OR THE HILL MUST BE EXTREME OPERATION. THIS IS HAPPENING AT A SLOW SPEED TURN OF 10-15 MPH. I HAVE VIDEO RECORDINGS WHICH HAVE BEEN SHARED WITH FCA AND THE DEALER AND I WOULD GLADLY SHARE WITH NHTSA. AS A FORMER VP AT A TIER ONE AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLIER, I CAN ASSURE YOU THIS IS NOT EXTREME OPERATION AND IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE WHICH THE MANUFACTURER IS UNWILLING TO RECTIFY. IF THE MANUFACTURER IS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE ROOT CAUSE OF WHAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE A SOFTWARE RELATED SAFETY DEFECT IT COULD RESULT IN ADDITIONAL JEEP RENEGADES OPERATING UNSAFELY ON PUBLIC ROADWAYS. “Swollen lug nuts” a known issue as noted by dealer mechanic. I’ve replaced some or all going on 3 times. If i have flat on interstate i cannot remove and replace a tire. This is a safety concern. .

The component that failed is the wheel lug bolts. The cap of each of the 20 lug bolts is of a metal alloy that expands under normal driving conditions, making it impossible to remove the lug bolts by an ordinary operator in the event of a tire failure. The car dealership identified this problem during tire rotation service and stated that the problem OEM lug bolts are endemic to Jeep vehicles. This was the first instance that I was aware of this problem. The dealership require the consumer to pay for replacements wholly made of steel. MOPAR charges over $11/lug bolt. The cost of a full set of 20 lug bolts is over $200. Why doesn't the manufacturer or dealer recall and replace the lug bolts at no cost to the consumer?

The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that his wife called AAA Service to replace the rear driver’s side tire however, the service tech was unable to remove the lug bolts. The contact stated it took the AAA tech an extended time to remove and replace the rear driver’s side tire. The contact also stated that after replacing all four tires, he noticed all the lug bolts were swollen. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the lug bolts to be replaced. There was no remedy for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

Just purchased this Jeep August 31, 2022. This is the 2nd time that while driving the vehicle suddenly shows very high RPM and will barely move. Could the previous repair to the engine recall have failed? I have an appointment to take the vehicle for service again. The first time the dealership said they did updates to fix the problem.

I GOT OFF THE FREEWAY AND BY THE TIME I STOPPED ON THE OFFRAMP, THE CAR HAD DIED AGAIN. I HAD TO PUT ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS FOR ABOUT 3 MINUTES UNTIL THE CAR STARTED AGAIN. I DROVE TO A PARKING LOT AND PRESSED THE ONBOARD BUTTON FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. THEY CAME AND TOWED THE CAR TO THE DEALER. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS 67 DEGREES AND THERE WAS A SLIGHT RAIN SPRINKLE. BEFORE I GOT GAS, THE CAR WAS FINE. I HAD 1/4 OF A TANK AND THE GAS LIGHT HAD JUST COME ON. I HAD NEVER USED VALERO GAS BEFORE AND FOR SOME REASON IT TOOK 13.5 GALLONS TO FILL THE TANK THAT ALREADY HAD A 1/4 OF A TANK IN IT. IN THE PAST THE MOST I HAVE FUELED UP WHILE ON LESS THAN 1/8 OF A TANK WAS 11.8. I'M NOT SURE THE FUEL SITUATION MATTERS, BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD MENTION IT JUST IN CASE. THIS ISSUE WAS REALLY SCARY AND UNNERVING. THE CAR HAS 4500 MILES ON IT.

ON INSTANCE THE VEHICLE LIGHT WARNING COMES ON INDICATING ALL OF THE LIGHTS ARE OUT IN THE VEHICLE, AND THE LIGHT BUILD INDICATOR WILL REMAIN FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, AND CUT OFF. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER ON THE FIRST INSTANCE, REPLACED THE BSM ON THE SECOND OCCASION, AND SINCE THEN 2 SOFTWARE UPDATES. The passenger safety belt latch comes undone for no reason. This happens frequently. We always check to make sure it is properly fastened with the clicking sound. While driving, the buckle comes unlatched causing a safety issue. I have taken my Jeep to the Jeep Dealer and they stated there are no recalls on this particular ID and that both safety belt systems will have to be replaced for $700. This is a safety hazard due to a defective safety belt system.

The Jeep will not accelerate as expected, it may have to do with the throttle bottle. This lack of acceleration or hesitation while accelerating, can lead to unsafe driving conditions. Under normal driving conditions, I need to be able to accelerate to pass a car, to merge onto the freeway, and be able to handle stop and go traffic without hesitation. I am afraid I may cause an accident if I continue to drive the Jeep. I will be biking as much as possible to avoid driving it in this condition. The dealer performed a diagnostic and admitted there was a problem, but I was told there was no know "fix" for it at the time. No one else has inspected the JEEP. There have been no warning lights at all.

While driving on a busy freeway the car started violently jerking to the left. I slowed and moved to the right lane as the jerking became more and more frequent. By the time I made it to the next exit the car had become difficult to control. As I took the next exit the power steering failed completely. I've had the car to the dealership and a second mechanic. both say it is a failure of the Electronic Control Unit and the steering column needs to be replaced. I barely managed to get the car off the freeway. I hate to think what could have happened had this occurred on a twisty road rather then a fairly straight stretch of freeway. I had no warning. first indication of the problem was the car jerking to the left. Warning lights didn't come on till power steering failed about a mile down the road.

SUNDAY, 2 JUN 2019 @ APPROXIMATELY 1900 ME AND MY FRIEND WERE RETURNING HOME FROM FISHING, GOING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH ON A LIGHT GRAVEL ROAD INSIDE A WILDLIFE STATE PRESERVE. Catalytic Converter. Part was recalled on the same engine but cuts off at 2016, however, my 2017 has the exact same engine and exact same issue as the recall issued to prior years. The problem has been confirmed by a dealership and mechanic. I have had a check engine light on to notify me of this error.

ENGINE BURNS OIL TO THE POINT TO WHERE IT IS UNSAFE TO OPERATE WITHOUT CONSTANTLY ADDING OIL BETWEEN SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE INTERVALS. THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE IT IS GASPING FOR AIR AFTER COMING TO A HALT AND THEN STARTING AGAIN(STOP SIGN, MAKING A LEFT TURN AFTER YIELDING TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, ETC.). ADDITIONALLY, THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING ON BOTH SIDES IS COMPLETED BURNED AND MELTED. THIS LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A WIRING ISSUE CAUSING TOO MUCH POWER TO GO TO THE BULBS OR THE RECOMMENDED BULBS MAY BE TOO HOT. THE ENGINE ISSUE HAS BEEN ONGOING THROUGH ALL 39,000 MILES ON IT. THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING CONCERN WAS JUST DISCOVERED ON 4/15/2020 HOWEVER I'M SURE THE ISSUE WAS PREVALENT BEFORE HAND. The car keeps shutting off while driving. Had to replace battery twice in the last few months. Also had relays replaced. Problem keeps happening. Something is draining the battery. I read there were problems with this make and model where even when the vehicle is shut off, certain connections remain active and drains. Shutting down with no warning while driving is very unsafe.

THE CAR DECIDES WHEN IT WANTS TO START AND START. THE CAR WILL SHUT OFF AND LOCK UP WHILE DRIVING AND HAS PUT ME IN MULTIPLE DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT WHEN IT WILL NOT START. WHEN IT FINALLY DECIDES TO START THERE IS NO CEL ON. ALSO, THE BOTTOM FOG LIGHT WENT OUT DUE TO FAULTY DESIGN AND GASKETING.

The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, at an altitude of 10,000 ft., the vehicle experienced a loss of automotive power before the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that there were construction barriers on the road, and the contact was not able to get to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact stated that the failure had occurred approximately seven times. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that a diagnostic test was needed. The contact declined and stated that the failure occurred while the temperature outside was high and hot, and the vehicle was driven on a steep hill. Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V731000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to have the dealer check the Flex Fuel/E85 system. The manufacturer advised the contact to have the dealer open a star case. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated while reversing out of the driveway, the vehicle inadvertently stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated she turned off the vehicle and was unable to restart it after several attempts. The contact also stated that the vehicle was making an abnormal clicking sound while attempting to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The contact was still awaiting a call back. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front driver’s side buckle switch and the front passenger’s side buckle switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was 119,283.

I MADE A RIGHT HAND TURN AND MY VEHICLE JUST STOPPED. ENGINE WAS STILL ON BUT JUST QUIT MOVING I PRESSED THE GAS BUT NO RESPONSE. I TURNED THE IGNITION OF AND BACK ON AND IT STARTED BUT THEN AN SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING CAME UP ON THE DASH. I CAN'T BELIEVE AN AIR BAG WARNING WOULD MAKE THE VEHICLE STOP IN TRAFFIC WITH NO WARNING AND NO CONTROL.

Car stalled in the middle of the busy road with no warning when accelerating from a right turn between 12-24 mph and a "low oil pressure sensor" light displayed and disappeared for 3 seconds. Received oil change that day and Valvoline did not mention any concerns about oil level. The next day, my car had been driving for 10+ min and struggled to accelerate out of light, specifically in range of 30-45 mph and the RPMs shot up to 3000. Car kept running but struggled to down shift. Terrified of this happening on my daily interstate and state roads drive, especially in winter!!! Taking to dealership service department to hopefully get this huge safety issue fixed.

THE MOTOR QUIT RUNNING WHILE TURNING ONTO AN ON-RAMP (25MPH), AND THE READOUT ON THE DASH SAID ' LOW OIL PRESSURE '. I HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, PUT IT IN PARK, AND PRESS THE BRAKE AND PUSH THE START BUTTON. IT STARTED UP AFTER A COUPLE OF TRIES, AND I DROVE ONTO THE INTERSTATE WITHOUT IT REOCCURRING. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW. IT ALSO HAPPENED ON 01/11/2021.

The vehicle instrument panel begins flashing multiple warning lights while driving and subsequently while stopped such as emergency brake on, key fob left the vehicle, fuel engine, TPMS, etc. All of these occur while the vehicle is moving. While coming to a stop the power steering pump also becomes inoperative, the shift indicator (PRND) is blinking, and it is impossible to move the shift lever. The vehicle will not shut off until the battery is disconnected. The problem seems to manifest when ambient air temperature exceeds 80 Fahrenheit and the vehicle has been previously operated.

MANUAL TRANS 1.4L. FOR APPROXIMATELY THE LAST YEAR, I'VE GOTTEN AN INTERMITTENT 'SERVICE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE' MESSAGE. I NEVER HAD IT LOOKED AT, I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND THEN IT WOULD GO AWAY. ALSO THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED TURNING OFF FROM ACCESSORY POWER MODE. I COULDN'T JUST ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS, I HAD TO CRANK THE CAR OR THE POWER WOULDN'T TURN BACK OFF. RECENTLY HAD CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH CODE P0807 'CLUTCH POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT 1 LOW' SHOWING. THE NEXT DAY, CAR WAS DIFFICULT TO START. IT TOOK SEVERAL TRIES PUSHING THE START BUTTON AND MESSING WITH CLUTCH BEFORE IT WOULD TURN OVER. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP (NOT DEALER) AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING OR REPLICATE THE CODES AND TOLD ME IT WAS A GLITCH. NEXT DAY I GET THE EPB LIGHT AGAIN AND USED MY CODE READER AND IT WAS SHOWING P0807 AND ABS CODE C1220-86. SO I LOCATED SAID SWITCH AND UNPLUGGED IT, AND BOOM. ALL THE PROBLEM CODES POPPED UP AGAIN AND I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF LIKE NORMAL. I REMOVED THE SENSOR AND OPENED THE COVER ON IT. THE CARBON FILM INSIDE WAS MISSING A SECTION. TESTED WITH A METER AND THE SENSOR LOST VOLTAGE WHEN SWEEP ARM INSIDE REACHED THE BROKEN SPOT. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT COULD LEAVE YOU STRANDED SOMEWHERE IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE TOOLS TO REACH AND JUMP OUT THIS SENSOR. AND OF COURSE CLUTCH PARTS ARE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS AN OBVIOUS FACTORY DEFECT SEEING AS IT'S ON THE INSIDE OF A SENSOR THAT I COULDN'T REACH WITHOUT REMOVING THE PANEL UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL.

The hose that holds the widow wiper fluid is made of cheap plastic and has cracked and leaks badly on the drivers side of the passengers section. I found a YouTube video wher the exact same thing happened to someone else car. Same model same problem and can cause other water damage. I have a video.

THERE APPEARS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW IN THE 2017 JEEP RENEGADE IN THAT WHEN THE WASHER FLUID IS USED, THE FLUID DRAINS NEXT TO THE AIR INTAKE AND A LARGE AMOUNT OF VAPOR IS DRAWN INTO THE MAIN CABIN. THIS WAS VERIFIED BY A CERTIFIED JEEP DEALER. WASHER SOLVENT FLUID CAN BE POISONOUS AND HARMFUL IF BREATHED IN. THE AMOUNT OF VAPOR DRAWN INTO THE CABIN CAN BE REDUCED BY USING THE RECIRCULATE FUNCTION, BUT SOME STILL LEAKS IN AND WHEN DRIVING IN POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS, OTHER VEHICLES THROW SALT AND OTHER DEBRIS ON YOUR WINDSHIELD CAUSING YOU TO IMMEDIATELY USE THE FLUID TO CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD AND YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO BREATH HARMFUL VAPORS IN. IN COLD WEATHER, IF YOU SET THE RECIRCULATE FUNCTION ON SO YOU WON'T BREATH THE VAPORS, THEN THE DEFROSTERS WON'T WORK AND YOUR WINDSHIELD CAN FOG OR ICE UP. THIS IS A HEALTH AND/OR DRIVING SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED OR SOMEONE WILL GET SICK AND/OR HURT.

Vehicle shuts off while driving as well as taking turns. Just shuts off with no warning. After it shuts off the lightning bolt in parentheses (electronic throttle control system) comes on, then goes away. Car shows as still running, but won't move. The low oil gauge comes on and then car stops moving. Very unsafe for vehicle to just "stop moving" or "shut off" in the middle of driving, or in the middle of an intersection. When this happens, I have to put the car in park, turn it off and then start it again. It usually takes several attempts to get it to start. It happens when I’m going at a slow rate of speed.

MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING WITH 4 PASSENGERS ON INTERSTATE 83 IN PENNSYLVANIA WHEN SHE HEARD A LOUD CLUNK, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND SHE HAD LOST MOST ABILITY TO STEER. SHE FORTUNATELY WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO STOP ON THE SIDE.THANK GOD EVERYONE WAS SAFE - THIS COULD HAVE ENDED TERRIBLY. ACCORDING TO THE MECHANIC AND WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR, THE BCM WENT BAD AND THEY ARE REPLACING (UNDER WARRANTY). THE VEHICLE IS A 2017 AND HAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000 MILES ON IT. HOW DOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT SEEMED LIKE A RELIABLE, SAFE OPTION. THIS WHOLE THING COULD HAVE ENDED DIFFERENTLY. YOU CANNOT BE TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY AND ALL THE SUDDEN HAVE YOUR CAR STOP RUNNING. CHRYSLER MAY WANT TO DIG A LITTLE FURTHER AND SEE IF IT IS A RECALL ISSUE.

I HAVE BEEN SAVING FOR EVER TO BUY THE CARD OF MY DREAM: A JEEP RENEGADE AND I FINALLY GOT IT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR THIRTY-FIVE YEARS AND NOT EVEN A PARKING TICKET AND WITH THE SAME INSURANCE FOR FOURTEEN YEAR (GEICO). ONE EVENING ON MY WAY TO THE SUPERMARKET AND WHILE MAKING A LEFT, I FELT AS IF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING, I KEPT PRESSING ON THE GAS AND IT SLIDE VERY SLOWLY, AND BOOM! I WAS HIT ON THE BACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY AN OLD PICK TRUCK. (A LEFT IN AZ, YOU ARE NEGLIGENT). WHAT A NIGHTMARE! THE POLICE TAKING THE REPORT WAS SOMETHING THAT I COULD NOT EXPLAIN, HIM TALKING AND LAUGHING WITH THE YOUNG MEN THAT HIT ME AS IF HE KNEW THE RELATIVES THAT CAME TO AID. REMEDY: ALL OF THE INVOLVE VEHICLES MUST HAVE THE FUEL PUMP MODULE REPLACED. TO GET AN APPOINTMENT AT MORE CHRYSLER TO SEE IF THEY HAD THE PART FOR THE CAR IT WAS A HASSLE, A LADY AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAD NO IDEA IF THEY HAD ANYTHING AND FINALLY TODAY, I CALL SEVERAL AGENCIES I HAD IDEA EXISTED (8/12/2019). DID I GET AN ATTORNEY? UNLESS THERE IS DEATH, DISMEMBERMENT, DIU AN THE SUCH THERE IS NO CASE. STEERING LOCK UP. ON TWO OCCASIONS WE'VE HAD THE STEERING LOCK UP ON OUR 2017 JEEP RENEGADE TRAIL HAWK. FORTUNATELY, ONE HAPPENED AT A STOP SIGN AND THE OTHER OCCURRED WHEN WE DROPPED THE VEHICLE OFF AT THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. WHEN THE STEERING LOCKED UP, OUR JEEP WAS ALSO EXPERIENCING ILLUMINATION OF MULTIPLE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHTS. THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL (T50 / NHTSA 17V-485) THAT SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSES THE MALFUNCTIONING INDICATOR LIGHTS IN THE 2017 RENEGADE. HOWEVER, IT ONLY APPLIES TO RENEGADES BUILT FROM 9 JUN 2017 THROUGH 18 JUL 2017. UNFORTUNATELY, OUR VEHICLE WAS BUILT OUTSIDE OF THIS WINDOW AND THE SERVICE MANAGER WILL NOT REPROGRAM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER UNLESS IT IS IN THE VIP AS AN OPEN RECALL FOR THIS SPECIFIC RENEGADE. I HAVE CALLED JEEP CUSTOMER CARE TWICE ON THIS ISSUE AND WE STILL HAVE NO RESOLUTION.

WAS DRIVING THIS EVENING, AND GOT ABOUT 2 BLOCKS FROM MY HOUSE. AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN, AND THEN CONTINUING THROUGH, HALFWAY THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, ALL SERVICE LIGHTS CAME ON (SERVICE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE, SERVICE ESC, SERVICE ENGINE, SERVICE TRANSMISSION), AND THEN IT SAID TO SHIFT INTO PARK WHILE I LOST POWER AND HAD TO COAST TO THE CURB. WHEN I GOT TO THE CURB, THE LIGHTS NEXT TO THE SHIFTER (PRND) WERE FLASHING UNTIL I PUT IT IN PARK. I SHUT THE CAR OFF, AND WHEN IT CAME BACK ON, ONLY THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED. I PHONED JEEP, AND THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP, BUT NONE WERE OPEN, SO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE MORNING, AND HAD TO LEAVE MY CAR ON THE STREET, BECAUSE IF I WENT MORE THAN 10 FEET, THE POWER WOULD GO OUT AGAIN AND WOULD LOSE ACCELERATION. THERE HAVE BEEN ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION JAMMING INTO GEAR WHEN SLOWING TO A STOP AT A RED LIGHT, AND THEN ACCELERATING WHEN IT TURNS GREEN, AND RANDOMLY IDLING ROUGH. THE ENGINE CODE IS U0001. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE FREEWAY WHEN IT LOST POWER, I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TIME TO GET OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND COULD HAVE BEEN BADLY HURT OR KILLED IF I GOT HIT BY ANOTHER CAR.

THE ESC, ABS, STEERING TORQUE CONTROL, 4WD, PARKING BRAKE LIGHTS ALL CAME ON. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT A RODENT HAD CHEWED THE WIRING FOR A REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR BECAUSE IT HAS SOY BASED INSULATION. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED OVER NIGHT, BUT GETS DRIVEN EVERY DAY.

THERE IS NO ACCELERATION WHILE STEPPING ON THE GAS PEDAL. THIS CONDITION LASTS APPROXIMATELY 3 - 5 SECONDS. ON ONE OCCASION, THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME NEARLY REAR-ENDED ME AS MY VEHICLE SLOWED. THE DEALER HAS EXPLAINED THAT THE VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING A CONDITION THAT EXCEEDS A PARAMETER SET BY THE SOFTWARE. THERE HAVE BEEN NO CODES "SET" BY THESE OCCURRENCES. GAS PEDAL/ACCELERATION WILL NOT ENGAGE WHEN VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE, IN A CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCE. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME AFTER I FIRST START THE VEHICLE, PLACE IT IN REVERSE, AND COAST/ROLL BACKWARDS (OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, INTO THE ROAD, INTO TRAFFIC). SLAMMING MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL RESULTS IN NO ACCELERATION, SO I JUST ROLL SLOWLY INTO THE ROAD. VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE NORMALLY AFTER I THEN SHIFT TO DRIVE. NOT BEING ABLE TO QUICKLY ACCELERATE IN REVERSE WHEN LEAVING FOR WORK EVERY MORNING IS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. I TOOK THIS TO MY DEALERSHIP, AND THEY WERE ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY THEN TESTED THIS ISSUE ON 2016 RENEGADE, 2017 RENEGADE, AND 2018 RENEGADE. THE 2016 AND 2017 RENEGADES HAD THIS SAME ISSUE. THE 2018 RENEGADE REPORTEDLY DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. MY DEALERSHIP SPOKE WITH A JEEP ENGINEER THAT HAS INVESTIGATED THIS ISSUE BEFORE, AND TRIED REPLACING THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AS A SOLUTION. THAT DIDN'T FIX THE ISSUE, SO THE ENGINEER CLAIMS THAT IT'S "WORKING AS DESIGNED." CLEARLY IT'S DESIGNED UNSAFELY. It began with vehicle warning lights, several, illuminating. They did not illuminate at exactly the same time (such as when a car stalls) they illuminated consecutively i.e Airbag disabled, followed by, blind spot sensors unavailable, front collision, lane departure, power steering temporarily unavailable, park assist, lane departure... all unavailable. Finally, the check engine light. Driving 65 mph until the transmission decided to no longer shift properly, which resulted in driving 45 in an 70 mph zone. Turned off vehicle and restarted, it was fine for 50 miles and began the dashboard light show again, followed by almost stalling at a toll booth. It has been "repaired" 3 times in 3 months, by Chrysler Jeep . Including a new BCM. I believe this 2017 Renegade either was not recalled during the original recall in 2017 or 2018, was not repaired, or was repaired improperly. Everything else operates properly. My vehicle is in great shape. I have video documentation of these things happening. No photos though. I do have documentation from Chrysler Jeep, just not with me at the moment.

ABS system issues: all warning lights come on - abs, traction control, parking brake (the yellow light as well as the red one. Red comes on an flashes then goes off), hill start, ect... Had codes ran that came back with several ABS related codes as well as engine codes leading back to the ABS system. Came up with right rear tone ring needs replaced. This is likely untrue as the lights come on and off leading me to believe it is more likely an issues with the speed sensor. This safety risk with this is that when the lights are on there is no traction control leading to it locking up an sliding even at low speed (few miles per hour when stopping at bottom of dirt/gravel drive way). There is also a power change lasting a few seconds while driving when the lights do go out. I have also had only a few times where the parking brake (E brake) will come on and stop me immediately when I first start to move forward.

Random warning messages and lights. Power steering fails, as does the power brakes. Usually, as I'm driving, it begins with airbag warning message. Then, the warning messages increase: Front collision, lane departure, blind spot, brake, power steering. While all of these things are happening I hear my doors lock, and unlock. Finally, I lose my power steering, and power brakes, like what would happen if the car has stalled. However, it is still running. Recently, after losing the power steering and brakes, I stopped and with the car still running, I could not put up my windows.

Factory settings for rear passenger window provide too much lift to window which place increase stress on weather stripping. Over time, weather stripping can break and compromise the door's electrical system. It also impairs how door closes leading to increased stress on the door pillar which can give way and break. This leads to further risk of compromise of electrical systems as well as body component as it may change the vehicle's dynamics.

I have a 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude. I bought it in 2020 and had it for 2 weeks when the engine blew up. There was a recall on the engine so Chrysler paid for the “new” engine. Two weeks after I got it back it started stalling out when I was driving down the road. I had a new starter put in it and now when it decides to shut down while driving the brakes come on, including the emergency brakes, it comes to a screeching halt, and the gear shift throws itself from drive into park. I just want to either get my car fixed or Stellantis to trade with me to make things right. It is very unsafe to drive. Especially when you don’t know when it is going to do this because it doesn’t happen every time you drive the car.

Sudden stop entrance to an exit ramp. The engine stalled and started leaking the fluid caused some and flames - fire department had to be called. . Had to replace the engine for approx. $6600 We are still waiting on parts for the seat belts this has been over a year with jeep. The parts are backordered. The seatbelts come undone constantly on both the driver and passenger sides. Parts are $330 and labor is approx. $400 total $730. There are 90000 Jeep Wranglers with this same issues but they were recalled. We can't even get the parts it's been over a year. Axle on left side of jeep was broke -took jeep to have serviced for oil and tire rotation. Service person found that the axel was broke. Cost $1500 Service man stated the axel was like a straw.

This car is a lemon and the entire car should be a recall. Shortly after having it I had to replace the tires , brakes , suspension. Then just a couple months ago I had a sediment in the coolant that is very rare and the only time the mechanic experienced that was on recall cars where (not sure if I am saying this correctly) dust is left when they cast the engine in production. And it takes years for it to build up and destroy your car. Now it’s at jeep in Dade city Fl and they said the engine is bad … after spending $950 on the sediment issue. Another $980 a couple weeks ago for battery , spark plugs , computer software update etc. now they want another $700 just to open my engine up and see what’s wrong. I am done. So as of now I have no car. Jeep only offered me $2k to buy it from me. And I still owe $12k. And I put about $3k into it in the last 5 months. This should be illegal to sell a lemon like this and leave a consumer like me more than $12k out. And from my research. Many others have the same complaint. Something legally should be done about this.

While accelerating at a certain speed and letting go of the pedal the vehicle stalls causing a loud cluck sound depending of the speed of the acceleration. I am not sure if this issue will cause the vehicle to break down or cause other problems in the near future. In the beginning of November 2022, the drivers side has been making clunking noises when ever I reverse and while slowly taking from. It is Nov 25, and I have been told is the struts that have signs of defective because of the tires wearing down from the inner side. Also, I was told by a different mechanic the motor mount may be loose, and now the wheel bearing. I've replaced the wheel bearing on the driver's side and the noise has not completely left but the replacement helped. I am hoping the struts make the difference along with swapping to street tires.

Notification on dashboard that driver tail light, blinker, and brake lights were not on and need to be serviced. Took the vehicle to dealership. Bulbs were replaced and still not working. Was quoted that the connector and pigtail would need to be replaced with an estimate of $700. It is safety concern to try and switch lanes without a working indicator. There was a software update issued for the electrical system instrument panel ID 17V485000 that had not been completed. This software indicates a malfunction in the warning system lights. The tail light could have not been working before and the indicator light did not light up. All of the is occurred on November 17 2022

I purchased this vehicle used with 6000-ish miles on it, the front passenger brake system had started making a slight noise, somewhat scraping or dragging. When I brought in the car for a tire change or balance, the issue was brought up to me at BIG O Tires in Aurora CO, that an issue of the brake system has a scraping or wear that usually found in a much older vehicle or one with much more mileage. I cannot at this time give the exact explanation of the issue, but I recently had an issue with the front passenger tire with a slow leak, since the tire was replaced the issue with the scraping noise has returned. 2nd Issue: The headlamps have always had a weak beam, not giving a good illumination of the road area ahead of the vehicle even when the weather is clear. It barely reveals the road ahead of me. When it is raining or snowfall, it is extremely poor. I have considered bringing it in for a change in the headlamps to a higher amp or extreme high reflecting blue lamp color that I am encountering in high illumination from oncoming vehicles. But had feared: cost, and that it would not change anything or make other electrical parts of strain to function.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the engine oil was extremely low. Oil was added to the engine and it was later discovered that the engine oil had rapidly been consumed. The manufacturer performed an oil consumption test which the vehicle failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. Also, while driving on the freeway at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who replaced the alternator. Also, the vehicle had experienced various intermittent electrical failures where the doors locks, key fob, and instrument cluster would not operate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed the failure as due to an electrical failure in the entertainment system. The entertainment system was replaced. The failure mileage was 20,000.

I was driving in right lane,40-45MPH, heard a very loud bang (not a tire), front end of jeep lifted UP, then began veering to the right heading off the road. I was unable to break or turn steering. Next thing, I woke up from being knocked out, hit a pole, 3 witnesses heard the bang as well - one witness told police, all 3 air bags went off. Emergency services were summoned. Car totaled. Pole is still standing upright. Fortunately I did not die or get seriously injured. Emergency services said if I had hit the tree next to pole, the outcome of my injuries would have been totally different. Car was towed to auto repair center and they had never seen collision damage such as this. Insurance company notified. Police report made at time of accident.no driver citations. a few days later I contacted jeep company, told them they needed to send someone out to look at this damage, because someone is going to die! They had a third party come out to the collision repair shop and get black box information/examined vehicle. A few days later, I received a carefully worded letter from Jeep that they saw NO SUSPENSION or STEERING issues to be the reason for the accident. Only the BANG, VEHICLE UPLIFT ON RIGHT SIDE, HITTING POLE. NO warning lights were on. This car was purchased new in 2/2018. I just hit the 30,000 miles, new tires on vehicle for 3 months and had only 2,000 miles of usage on them. The vehicle was in excellent condition and always maintained 100%. Even the Farmer's Insurance inspector stated car was in showroom condition. Rim broke in half along inner seam, no blowout evidence, tie rod broke in half, ball joint shaft inside of the knuckle (broke inside of it), pivot still in lower control arm. Have photos/police report/pics. NO OTHER VEHICLES INVOLVED. HUSBAND HAD TO HELP TOW TRUCK DRIVER SLIDE THE SUSPENSION UNDER VEHICLE TO TOW IT. The cable for the hood latch snapped. This is an issue because if the vehicle breaks down at the side of the road or needs a jump start in a lot etc, the hood will not open. This can cause risk of exposure as well as prolonged stay on the shoulder of the road. Mechanic at Autonation reported that he has seen this issue with multiple Jeep Renegades, which is alarming. No lights or indications are made by the vehicle informing owner of the issue.

WE ARE AT 1 YR 10 MTHS AND JUST OVER 26,00 MILES. JUST RECENTLY THE CAR STATED STALLING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I WOULD HAVE TO PUT IT IN PARK TO BE ABLE TO START GOING AGAIN AND THEN IT LAGS TO GET GOING AND QUITS SHIFTING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON. SOMETIMES IT FLASHES THOUGH SEVERAL ERRORS, TOO FAST TO READ THEM ALL. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN TO THE ORIGINAL DEALER 3 TIMES AND ANOTHER DEALER ONCE. I WAS TOLD IT NEEDED A COMPUTER UPDATE, THE WIRING HARNESS NEEDED FIXED AND OTHER THINGS. THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED THE FIRST3 TIMES. THIS LAST TIME THEY ARE TELLING ME IT IS THE AFTER MARKET STARTER, THEY THINK. THEY CANNOT GUARANTEE IT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM BUT NOW THEY ARE SAYING NOTHING IS UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BRAVO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF ALHAMBRA (LOCATED AT 1100 W MAIN ST, ALHAMBRA, CA 91801, (626) 283-52120) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDOW TINT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE WINDOW FAILURE, AND THE OIL WAS AT AN UNSAFE LEVEL AND NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WAS COMPLETED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE OIL WAS AT AN IMPROPER LEVEL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,570.

I DECIDED TO START THE VEHICLE WITHOUT USING REMOTE START DUE TO EXTREME COLD CLIMATE SO I COULD WARM IT LONGER THAN REMOTE START WILL ALLOW. LET IT RUN FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES AND GO TO DRIVE OFF AND GET UP TO 25-30MPH AND IT STALLED AND MADE AN EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE AND ROUGH VIBRATION THAT MADE IT FEEL LIKE THE WHOLE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION FELL OUT OF THE VEHICLE. ALL OF THE LIGHTS LIT UP IN THE DASHBOARD AND I HAD TO STRUGGLE TO STEER IT OFF THE STREET BY COASTING IT. PROCEEDED TO START IT BUT WOULDN'T BUDGE FOR A GOOD 5-10 MIN UNTIL IT FINALLY STARTED BACK UP. IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CONNECTED THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL TO IT AND SAID NOTHING WAS SHOWING UP AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT. ABOUT A MONTH LATER, IT HAPPENED AGAIN THE EXACT SAME WAY, TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THIS TIME THEY SAID EVERY POSSIBLE ERROR CODE CAME UP AND WERE BAFFLED. THEY WANTED US TO LEAVE THERE AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR 2 WEEKS BEFORE THEY COULD GET TO IT AND DID NOT OFFER A LOANER VEHICLE, WE HAD TO TELL THEM THAT WE NEEDED IT OR A LOANER FOR COMMUTE AND SO WE HAD TO KEEP IT, THEY FINALLY GOT TO IT AND FOUND OUT IT WAS THE ECM MODULE, SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE DRIVETRAIN, THEY REPLACED IT AND IT HASN'T OCCURRED AGAIN. SINCE THEN, WE HAVE NOTICED MORE AND MORE THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN SHIFTING VERY HARD MAKING POPPING NOISES AND JERKING. WE FINALLY DECIDED THAT SOMETHING WASNT RIGHT AND TOOK IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP WITH A COUPLE OTHER THINGS THAT HAVE GONE WRONG WITH THE CAR. WE HAD TO TAKE IT TWICE FOR THEM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT WITH THE TRANSMISSION. IT IS NOW SCHEDULED FOR A TOTAL TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT MID AUGUST, AND I THINK IT WAS CAUSED BY ECM MODULE ISSUE WE HAD TO DEAL WITH FOR A FEW MONTHS BEFORE IT WAS TAKEN CARE OF. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN MAKING A NEW CAR PURCHASE BECAUSE OF ALL THE ISSUES WE HAVE HAD WITH IT.

THE 9-SPEED TRANSMISSION CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE FORWARD CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BE UNSAFE. I WOULD HAVE REAR END A DODGE RAM TRUCK AT A STOP LIGHT; IF MY FOOT WAS NOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE. THE LUNGING FORWARD, AND HARD SHIFTING HAPPENS RANDOMLY PRIMARILY ON THE DOWNSHIFTING, AND WHEN IT'S COLD OUT. OTHER ISSUES: WHEN USING THE WASHER SOLVENT FLUID THE VAPORS COME BACK THROUGH THE CABIN, MAKING THE CABIN AIR TOXIC TO BREATH. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE ROTOR AND BRAKE PAD HAD TO BE CHANGED; BECAUSE THEY WERE DEEMED DEFECTIVE DUE TO FINDING METAL DEBRIS IN THE BRAKE PAD AT ABOUT 3,100 MILES WHEN I REPORTED THE NOISE AT THE FIRST OIL CHANGE. ELECTRICAL: RANDOMLY THE PUSH START WILL NOT WORK, TURN SIGNAL TURNING RIGHT WILL NOT WORK, AND HEAD LIGHTS WOULD NOT AUTOMATICALLY COME ON. THIS 2017 JEEP RENEGADE LATITUDE 2.4L HAS LESS THAN 6,000 MILES. THE TRANSMISSION, WASHER SOLVENT, AND BRAKES STARTED BEFORE THE FIRST OIL CHANGE AT 3,118 MILES; HOWEVER, THE WASHER SOLVENT WAS NOT REPORT UNTIL LATER WHEN I FOUND OUT IT IS TOXIC, AND I ONLY USED IT ABOUT 3-TIMES, AND TURNED THE AIR OFF EACH TIME. ALL DEEMED UNABLE TO DUPLICATE EXCEPT FOR ONE TIME OR NORMAL FOR THE WASHER SOLVENT ISSUE.

SEAT INOPERABLE AND CANNOT BE REPOSITIONED MANUALLY. UPON FUSE AND RELAY CHANGE OUT FOR SEAT, WARNING LIGHTS DID NOT REAPPEAR AFTER RESTART OF VEHICLE, HOWEVER SEAT STILL NON RESPONSIVE AND STUCK IN CURRENT FULL BACK POSITION MAKING IT A HAZARD FOR A DRIVER LESS THAN 6 FOOT TALL TO OPERATE SAFELY. 2017 JEEP RENEGADE WITH REMOVABLE ROOF PANELS. I WAS DRIVING AND THE ROOF PANEL BECAME DETACHED AND FLEW OFF MY JEEP. THE JEEP WAS ON A NORMAL COUNTRY STREET GOING 35-40 MPH. IT SHOT OFF, FLYING BACKWARDS. IT LANDED 50 FEET BEHIND ME, IN A FRONT YARD. IT WAS 5 INCHES STUCK IN THE MUD/YARD OF A HOME. IT WAS JUST THE FRONT PANEL AND NOT THE BACK PANEL. THE BUTTON FOR THE ROOF TO SLIDE NO LONGER WORKS, THE PANEL IS BENT, IT IS CURVED. IT WOULD NOT GO BACK ON AND NO LONGER WORKS THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO OPERATE.
