The radio screen is not working properly, it has lines going through it and goes blank which renders the navigation system and backup camera useless. The other components to the radio as well as temperature control is useless due to this issue as well. Please recall since many jeep renegade customers experience this same issue and we need this to be recalled.

The digital display control screen fades in and out randomly and without warning and at times it just goes black to just reappear as random as it dissipates. It started doing this in February 2025 a couple times a week and as time has went on the incidences have increased to daily. (as of writing this, 4/3/25) Numerous times, the screen fades out during backing up while I'm using the back-up camera. Almost every setting is within this display system so virtually everything is useless including hands free navigation, resetting the clock, and heated seats and wheel. I had the heated seats and wheel on automatic with all starts. I realized if I didn't turn the automatic off while the screen was on, I might be driving around in July with heated seats and steering wheel and no way to shut it off.

I drive the 2021 Jeep Renegade SUV and out of the blue my touchscreen just went out. The radio still works but the screen stopped working for no reason. This is huge outage endangers the public when backing up because I can't see anything on the screen when reversing. That's where the backup camera shows people or objects that might be behind my vehicle. I can't control features like the AC, Heat, GPS and other features associated with the touchscreen. This is dangerous outage that should be recalled and fixed by the manufacturer.

Sunroof got stuck open and when inspected at a body shop it was found to have several broken parts inside the mechanism. Sunroof was rarely used and was not handled roughly ever. No warning was given that the sunroof was broken or needing attention until it completely malfunctioned. It is apparent this has been an expensive and recurring problem with Jeep Renegades for others as well.

The radios in these jeep not fair mine start glitching then went out last year can’t afford to fix it there are a lot complaints about radio screens not fair then ur warranty expired cost thousands to fix can’t use nothing camera heated seats nothing this is a problem need to be recalled immediately very unsatisfied with Jeep horrible truck just not fair

The radio screen is not working properly it fuzzes up I can't use my backup camera it's a well-known issue on the jeep forum and many other forums. Perfect helps me control a lot of my safety features in which I can't get into because it's not working properly my car is not even 3 years old yet and as far as I've seen other

Air Conditioning Failed Dangerous driving conditions due to overheated Driver in hot weather. Spent over $200 at Briggs Firestone to inspect AC does not work. With mileage at 46,000 miles, they told me to take back to dealer, which is John L Sullivan. I took it back to John L Sullivan, they did not want to help, they wanted my money.

The contact owned a 2021 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at 25 MPH when another vehicle crashed into the rear at an unknown high rate of speed. The passenger side bumper edge was damaged as well as the rear passenger side door. The contact vehicle was propelled 6 meters forward as a result of the crash. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer, where the vehicle was diagnosed and the contact was advised that the vehicle was a total loss. No warning lights had illuminated. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The contact was the only individual present and injured in the vehicle, she was seated in the driver's seat. There were no other injuries reported. The contact received injuries to her back, neck, and foot that required medical attention. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V510000 (AIR BAGS, SEAT BELT). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 21,500.

On [XXX] my 2021 Jeep Renegade 4x4 VIN [XXX] was struck from the rear by another vehicle. My vehicle was stopped at a traffic light in Columbus, Ohio. My vehicles air bags did not deploy. The other vehicles air bags did deploy. The Sheriff Office did make mention of this during the traffic Report writing process. (REF: Traffic Accident Report #[XXX]: Franklin County Ohio Sheriff Office) . The driver, myself sustained injuries. Medical intervention was sought. Casualty Insurance Claim was filed. Vehicle repairs were performed. No warning lamps. messages or other symptoms occurred related to the air bags prior to or subsequent to this accident. Not until Owner, myself received the Safety Recall Notice 82B/NHTSA 24V-510 on 08/31/2024 was I made aware of any defect related to the motor vehicles safety, malfunctioning, or non-functioning. Given the event and the related non-deployment of the air bags, injuries sustained and which appears to be consistent with this Safety Recall Notice I would like this to go on record. Service air bag light has been on about 2 weeks. Tried to unlock car with key fob today. 8/6/2024. Wouldn't work so I replaced the fob battery. Nothing will work on car now. Won't start, can't manually unlock back doors.Couldn't get it in neutral to get on flatbed tow truck. Dealership said it'll be at least 2days before they can look at it. Said there's a recall but no remedy/ parts to be able to fix. Now I have no transportation. And they have no loner car to give me. Worked fine yesterday . Been parked in my driveway.

took my car in for oil change and dealership said there was an oil leak somewhere. scheduled that for service. than during the last week i got a airbag disabled/service , disabled park/service warning lights pop up on my dash. auto/start/stop was disabled, check engine light came on for 10 seconds. dealership has scheduled service to look into these

Transmissions are defective! Will not go into 8th or 9th gear under any circumstances. Jeep says it is what it is. Transmission runs hot (3/4 or hotter) and mileage is awful. Factory rep was to meet with me and backed out telling dealer customers have to deal with it. Transmission will not hold up to driving 75mph for hours. Dealer was informed of issue 50 mi. after delivery and said it would fix itself after it hit 1k. Vehicles do not meet CAFE standards. Mileage is 25 to 33 percent less than rating. I have had 2 Jeep cases and first one ended when rep was told not to meet with me. I believe it is another case of Bosch having one tune for testing and one for the consumer like the eco diesel. I have emailed my congressman to let him know. I will bring my car wherever you wish to be tested. I have 2 of these and both are doing same thing. The Blogs have several people who also have this issue. We paid for 9 speeds and not 6 or 7.

Picked up Jeep in Kansas City. Got on highway and transmission (trans) would not shift into high gears. Called dealership and was told to contact local dealer. Got back to Texas (560 mi.) and contacted 4 dealers in the DFW area. All said there were issues with 9 sp. trans. One said put 2500 mi. on and see if it is a computer break in issue. Took to local dealer with 3300 mi and they did a Star Case. Subsequently, I also went with Manager and confirmed issue. Was contacted by Ralph at Jeep (CASE #82736087). Was told car was submitted for buyback. Two days later, buyback was off the table, and I was stuck with it. Jeep said that no problem found per dealership. Called dealership and was told flat out that was not the case. They drove one off the lot and it did just fine (2022 model). Meanwhile, I posted on a Renegade forum and other people are having same issue. We refer to this as "Paid for a 9-speed transmission, but only got 7. This is a safety issue. I drive mostly 75 mph highway roads in Northern Texas using my adaptive cruise and am causing harm by the rpm being much higher than it should be.

1. Checked my oil level at 2,000 miles and it was down by 1/2 quart. I added oil and took to dealer and they checked this out and told me these high compression engine will use oil. No warning signs. 2. Transmission from 1st to 2nd makes noise. Dealer told me this trans is a adaptive trans and if no one else drives this vehicle it will get better. In mornings it is still clunking but after it warms up it gets better. Feel like I'm driving a time bomb.

ON FEB. 6.2022 THERE WAS ANOTHER CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING WENT OFF AND WARNED OF SOMEONE IMMEDIATLY STOPPING IN FRONT OF ME AS THE RED STOP WARNING CAME ACROSS THE DASH LIKE IT HAS IN THE PAST IN THEN FAILED AND THEN THE SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH 4X4 FAILURE NOTICE AND EVERYTHING ELSE I TOOK IT TO MAZDA INSTEAD OF JEEP BECAUSE THEY ADVISED THEY HAVE A 2 WEEK BACKLOG OF ISSUES AND CANNOT GET A RENTAL CARE NOR A VALID ETA ON FIXING VEHICLE. ON SUNDAY 1/17/21, I LEASED A CAR FROM THE DEALER LISTED ABOVE. I LEASED A 2021 FULLY LOADED JEEP RENEGADE EVEN AFTER THE HORRIBLE TREATMENT FROM THE RUDE IMPERSONAL SALESPERSON - AFTER ONLY TWO DAYS OF HAVING THE CAR, WE GOT BEGIN HAVING ISSUE WITH IT, THE WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH THAT SAID, "STEREO SYSTEM UNAVAILABLE". THIS MALFUNCTION CAUSED ALL SAFETY FEATURES TO TURN OFF AS WELL AS THE SPECIAL KENWOOD SOUND SYSTEM THAT WE PAID EXTRA FOR AS A PART OF THE LUXURY GROUP ADD ON. I LOOKED INTO THE ISSUE MYSELF AND IT STATED THAT IT HAD BEEN GOING ON IN THIS CAR SINCE THE 2018 MODEL. SINCE THEN, IT HAS HAPPENED ON AND OFF DAILY. THAT MONDAY MORNING, WE CALL THE DEALER AND GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR TUESDAY MORNING. TUESDAY MORNING, WE DRIVE IN AND LEAVE THE CAR THERE. THEY CALL BACK IN THE AFTERNOON AND TELL US THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAR, AND THEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM- AT THIS POINT WE HAD OPENED A CASE WITH CORPORATE. LATER IN THE EVENING WE GET A CALL TO COME AND GET THE CAR, WE STATED WE DID NOT WANT TO PICK UP THE CAR BECAUSE IT HAPPENS EVERY MORNING AND TO KEEP THE CAR OVERNIGHT AND TRY AGAIN TOMORROW MORNING (WEDNESDAY FEB. 27). WE GET A CALL FROM CORPORATE THAT THEY ARE OPENING A CASE AND THEY WOULD ALSO CALL US BACK ON WEDNESDAY. I GET A CALL FROM THE CASE MANAGER EXPLAINING THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH ALL JEEP RENEGADES AND THAT IF WE WANT A LONER, I'LL NEED TO RENT A CAR AND GET REIMBURSED BY CHRYSLER. THE SAFETY FEATURES ARE DISABLED BECAUSE OF THIS MALFUNCTION! THIS IS DANGEROUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL FOR A COMPANY OF THEIR CALIBER NOT ONLY FOR OUR FAMILY BUT ALSO FOR EVERYONE BUYING THESE VEHICLES. IF THEY WILL TRY AND GET OVER ON US FOR THIS - WHAT ELSE WILL THEY TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF? I drive a 2021 Jeep Renegade. The android screen that controls all the app AND the backup camera keeps going out. I see replacements on Amazon for around 150-200$ but of course I do not know how to install such things. All the dealers I contact want up to $2,000.00!!! to repair it AND want a $250.00 up front diagnostic fee. Simply robbery if you ask me. This feature on this vehicle is very important to the safety of the car. I have been on Jeep's Forum and see Many, many others are having the same issue. This should be a recall issue and Jeep should fit the bill.

I am writing to file a formal safety complaint regarding my 2021 Jeep Renegade, which has been experiencing sudden, unprovoked automatic braking for almost a year. The issue began in Spring [Year], and over the past two months, it has become significantly more frequent. The vehicle brakes sharply on its own even when there are no obstacles, cars, or objects in front of us. This happens at normal driving speeds and creates a serious risk of rear-end collisions—especially dangerous on highways. We have a baby, and this malfunction has put our family in frightening situations multiple times. We’ve brought the vehicle to the dealer and service center several times, but they claim no error code shows up, so no repair is made. The car is currently at the service center again, and still no resolution. We’ve also requested assistance from our Jeep case manager, but no effective action has been taken. There are additional issues such as: •The door locks stop working after it rains, requiring us to use the physical key in the door. •The sunroof stopped working, even though it was replaced two years ago (this is currently being addressed, but remains part of the larger reliability concern). This automatic braking issue is the most urgent concern. The car is not safe to drive, and the lack of response from Jeep is deeply troubling. Please let me know if further information, service records, or documentation is needed.

The rear driver side brake light, turn signal, and parking brake light, come and go as they please. Some days will work correctly and some days will not. I did read of a recall and my vin number is not on that list. But it has been acting like short in the wiring for over 6 months now.

I started having a problem with my air conditioner. I had to get my car serviced for an oil change and had an AC check. I was told that the reservoir was totally dry and it shouldn't be because it is a sealed system. It should be like the oil & just get dirty. The mechanic said I have to get a ridiculous procedure before they can even tell what the problem is where they add freeone to see what is going on and then take it back out and then I will have additional charges for the actual problem. Just to check is almost 500.00. He told me he has been seeing this lately. I wonder if others have experienced this because I understand Chrysler is making jeeps now and I haven't heard anything good. What does it take to constitute a recall?

I’m reporting Suspicious activity: Inaccurate Vehicle Service Records Reported by Flagship Chrysler Bayamón. Every time my Jeep Renegade, VIN [XXX] , has been serviced by Flagship Chrysler Bayamón—four times in total—the information reported to Carfax has been inaccurate : 1. 12/02/2023 - 12/05/2023: Right front seat buckle replaced under warranty. Invoice [XXX].  Per carfax report dated 07/02/2025 vehicle serviced “tire condition and pressure checked”. 2. 12/21/2024: Oil and filter changed, maintenance inspection performed, and motor care product applied. Invoice [XXX]. Per carfax report dated 07/02/2025 vehicle serviced “Oil and filter changed” and “tire condition and pressure checked”. 3. 06/30/2025: Oil and filter changed, maintenance inspection performed. RO number [XXX]. Per carfax report dated 07/02/2025 vehicle serviced “Oil and filter changed” and “tire condition and pressure checked”. 4. 07/01/2025: Safety recall; seat belt buckle switch connector repaired. Not available in carfax report dated 07/02/2025.   This ongoing lack of accuracy and transparency is not only suspicious, but it also directly impacts my vehicle’s value and reliability. As the owner, I have always gone above and beyond to keep my Jeep properly maintained, and I expect that commitment to be reflected in official service records. The right side seat belt connector failed and I was unable to take the seat belt off, which is a safety hazard. I went to a local independent repair garage where 3 mechanics were unable to disconnect the belt from the buckle. In 4/4/2025 I took the car to Sullivan Nissan, Plymouth, MA where I bought the car. I was told that I needed a new seat belt buckle and it is not covered under the Jeep warranty. The car has 20, 120 miles on it.

Uconnect system/radio screen visually not working appropriately. Gets glitchy lines and will go black. Flip upside down. And blurr together. Screen will respond to touch even when not visually able to see anything. This will happen at random even when using back up cameras which is dangerous will go completely black when trying to use screen in any way. No damage to screen. Car is 2021 should not be having issues with screen already this is a safety hazard especially because using backup camera screen goes completely black.

The screen for the control panel is going out. I have researched online and at least 100 other people are having the same issue. This screen plays a big part in the safety features available on the vehicle. I believe that Jeep should look further into this issue. If it were one or two vehicles, yes, that's isolated. The fact remains s that is an issue that begins at the factory.

Driving my jeep to work and a bunch of warning lights come on - air bag, power steering, camera, front collision detection, abs system, parking brake, etc. I also lose power steering. Mechanic cannot find cause and all modules appear to be working - codes clear and return after about 30 miles of driving. Car isn't safe to drive and has been in the shop for 11 weeks with no answers. It is about to come back to sit in my driveway - and I will have to continue to make payments on a car that isn't drivable and may never be again. Since electrical issues seem to be prevalent with the vehicle - there should be a recall to protect driver safety.

All of my warning/service lights came on, my car wouldn’t accelerate, one of the warning lights said it had to be in stop to brake and start, my dash won’t light up which shows my fuel levels, other info. My car stopped in traffic completely, I had you out my four ways on, hit the start/stop button. It was so scary!

I have an active recall on my 2021 Jeep Renegade. I have made numerous attempts to get this vehicle in since recall was made public. Every excuse under the sun from dealerships in the St. Louis area. From we don't do recall work on weekends, to we are only allowed to order so many parts, we have to put you on a waiting list. Or I am out of a car for hours possibly days? I called the corporate number to Stellantis and they actually hung up on me. I work lots of hours, I as a paying customer should be catered to. I need this repair done when its convenient for me as I have a job and work a crazy schedule

The contact owned a 2021 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph around a curve, the steering wheel went straight, and she attempted to correct it. The lane departure warning with lane keep assist engaged and began to beep and took control of the vehicle. The vehicle fishtailed, crossed the lane,  the driver lost control, and crashed into a ditch. The vehicle flipped on its side. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags were deployed. The driver was wearing a seat belt, but her head smashed through the passenger side window. The driver sustained a concussion, and medical attention was provided. There was no reported fire. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000. The vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company.

We experienced an electrical failure while driving the Jeep Renegade. We had no power or brakes and multiple warning lights were flashing on the dashboard. Fortunately, we were able to pull into a business parking lot and stopped by running into a snow berm. We could not stop the engine and tried many times to turn the engine off during the 3 hours we waited for a tow truck. We were finally able to turn off the engine and drove it to the local Ford dealership with the tow truck following us. We went to the dealer the following morning and the customer service rep started the engine and experienced the same problem. He was unable to stop the engine. He said it could take up to a month for repairs since they only have one Jeep mechanic. I drove it the previous day on a 120 mile trip and traveled on I-75. It could have been deadly if the car failed on that busy Interstate.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated while driving at 65 MPH, several messages were displayed. The contact stated that " Warning. Imminent Engine Failure", " Warning. Side and Front Impacts", " Warning. Low Fuel" and other unknown warning messages were displayed. Additionally, the radio became inoperable. The contact continued to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the wiring system had melted due to exposure to the exhaust gases. The dealer informed the contact that the exhaust pipe was malformed as it was routed incorrectly in a straight outward direction instead of being curved. The dealer advised the contact that it was a manufacturer defect. The vehicle was repaired; however, upon taking the vehicle to her residence, the contact noticed that the rear bumpers had melted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 1,650.

Dashboard lights suddenly start blinking, from seatbelt, airbag, check engine… then the D starts flashing and the car loses power (goes like in neutral), forcing me to pull over, when I can. This happens while driving, this happens often. Have visited a dealership twice, “no trouble found”. Danger to self and others.

September 1, 2021 Re: [XXX] I purchased this vehicle on or about August 17, 2021 Upon delivery but after completion of paperwork, the transport agent conveyed that the vehicle had 'quick steer". He tried to explain that the car just steers or drives on its own. Very bad weather, I didn't risk driving it. I had the opportunity to drive it and the steering wheel becomes self operating, the brakes respond and during driving the vehicle literally stops responding to manual driving. Both the steering wheel and brakes are automatically generated. In upper left corner of dash a directional turns red to green. There is no indication of why or how. It's dangerous and can lead to death by car accident. I presented the dealership with concerns, too INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

When traveling with the cruise control on, on the expressway, the speeddometer started to flicker on and off then totally went off. It lasted a couple of seconds and when it came back on my speed was at 55 mph. I was traveling at 75 when it started. This happens alot. Also the radio will sometimes blast its volume, change stations on its own or won't shut off. Last week my rear window went down and wouldn't go back up. These things happen occasionally but after shutting off the car and waiting it seems to clear for awhile. I took it into the dealer and was told there was nothing they could do, they had to wait for a fix for the software from Chrysler. I spoke with people from Chrysler and they told me the same thing. I leased this car in March and it is now August. How long do I have to wait for a fix? I am getting scared driving this car.

The vehicle in front of me was at least one car length ahead of me as I was driving around 15 mph when the forward collision detection activated my automatic brakes and jerked me forward in the seat, almost causing whiplash. There was no reason for the detector to go off.

ON SUNDAY 1/17/21, MY DAUGHTER'S HUSBAND LEASED A CAR FROM THE DEALER LISTED ABOVE. HE LEASED A 2021 FULLY LOADED JEEP RENEGADE AFTER ONLY TWO DAYS OF HAVING THE CAR, WE GOT THE WARNING ON THE DASH THAT SAID "STEREO SYSTEM UNAVAILABLE". THIS MALFUNCTION CAUSED ALL SAFETY FEATURES TO TURN OFF AS WELL AS THE SPECIAL KENWOOD SOUND SYSTEM THAT WE PAID EXTRA FOR AS A PART OF THE LUXURY GROUP ADD ON. MY HUSBAND LOOKED INTO THE ISSUE HIMSELF AND IT STATED THAT IT HAD BEEN GOING ON IN THIS CAR SINCE THE 2018 MODEL. THE NEXT TIME HE GOT INTO THE CAR, IT WORKED PERFECTLY FINE. SINCE THEN IT HAS HAPPENED ON AND OFF DAILY. FINALLY AFTER A WEEK OF OWNING THE CAR WE ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT BUT DUE TO THE WEEKEND, MONDAY MORNING WE CALL THE DEALER AND GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR TUESDAY MORNING. TUESDAY MORNING WE DRIVE IN AND LEAVE THE CAR THERE. THEY CALL BACK IN THE AFTERNOON AND TELL US THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAR AND THEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM- LATER IN THE EVENING WE GET A CALL TO COME AND GET THE CAR, WE STATED WE DID NOT WANT TO PICK UP THE CAR BECAUSE IT HAPPENS EVERY MORNING AND TO KEEP THE CAR OVERNIGHT AND TRY AGAIN TOMORROW MORNING (WEDNESDAY). WE GET A CALL FROM CORPORATE THAT THEY ARE OPENING A CASE AND THEY WOULD ALSO CALL US BACK ON WEDNESDAY. WEDNESDAY WE DO NOT GET A CALL FROM THE DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT. WE GET A CALL FROM THE CASE MANAGER EXPLAINING THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH ALL JEEP RENEGADES MY QUESTION IS WHY DO I NEED TO PAY FOR WHEN JEEP SHOULD NOT BE SELLING THESE VEHICLES! THE SAFETY FEATURES ARE DISABLED BECAUSE OF THIS MALFUNCTION. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL FOR A COMPANY OF THEIR CALIBER NOT ONLY FOR OUR FAMILY BUT ALSO FOR EVERYONE BUYING THESE VEHICLES. THERE IS CASE SIMILAR TO THIS SINCE 2017 AND NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT
