On 2/11/2025 while at a stop light the vehicle stalled and I had to restart the vehicle when the light turned green. An hour later it happened again. At that point my husband and I took my Wagoneer to the dealership. They determined the vehicle needed a new battery. Then on 2/13/2025 I went to my vehicle in the garage and it had "bricked out". I could not start it at all. I had to have a tow truck bring the vehicle back to the dealership and they again replaced the battery. On 11/26/2025 again while at a stop light the vehicle stalled and I had to restart the vehicle when the light turned green. A little while later on the same day I was at a stop light and I felt the vehicle start to stall, but the light turned green so I stepped firmly on the gas and the vehicle hesitantly went forward. This issue is recurring despite the dealership's efforts to address it.

On August 22nd, 2025 my family and I were traveling in my Wagoneer down [XXX] , through the Bighorn National Forest. A dash notification stated that the cars start / stop system may no longer work and needed to be serviced. 5-10 minutes later, a battery light came on the dashboard. we carefully drove out of the mountains into the nearest town: Buffalo, WY. We pulled into an auto store. the employee there informed us the alternator was bad. There are no alternators available in the United States for a 2022 Wagoneer. I have been informed by the Jeep dealer that current backorder date to obtain one is 168 days. My family was stuck on the side of the road for 5 hours before we could get a taxi to a rental car place. When exiting the Bighorn National Forest, there are 5 warning zones that state there are upcoming grades of 6-10% and mandatory brake checks at each of the five zones for trucks (cars optional). This power failure could have been catastrophic for my family. I have come to understand that Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge have been having problems with the etorque / alternator systems since 2021. Now my very expensive wagoneer is stuck in Wyoming. Undriveable. I cannot obtain the replacement part for over 5 months. For the last six months (since Dec. 2024) my jeep has randomly stalled out at traffic lights or won’t restart immediately after having just driven it. Sometimes when it stalls out while driving into a traffic light it will restart without a jump but then the check engine light is on for a few drives then eventually turns off. This happens once or twice a month and typically requires a jump to get the car started. I have had the battery, alternator and started checked multiple times. A jeep dealership has reviewed and could find no issues with the car. The safety issue is being stalled out at a light or anywhere on the road randomly puts myself, my passengers and other drivers at risk

We bought the vehicle new in 2022. There have been intermittent issues with emergency braking while going in reverse that we wrote off to sensor issues and never reported. Last weekend the Electrical system went haywire. Lots of flashing lights, sounds under the dash, etc. Engine quit and would not start. Was able to get to the dealership after changing the battery. Battery warning light and check engine light never cleared. Dealership is saying it is the 48v battery issue so I wanted to report it.

on 2 occasions, the car has shut down at a stop and killed the engine. Car had to be placed in park and restarted. Most recently, the car suddenly shut off while moving. The control panel flashed low battery and shut down systems. It disabled the power steering and shut down all power including the engine, thankfully this didn't cause an accident, but would have been a very dangerous situation if traveling at higher speed . Car couldn't be restarted, when trying to it would shift itself from drive to park and die again. After about 30 minutes, the car started when jumped. All gauges read correctly and didn't indicate any low battery issues. When in for service approximately 2 weeks ago, dying at a stop was discussed with the dealer and they said they weren't aware of any issues and would need to keep the car for potentially weeks to diagnose the issue. That issue was is far less severe than dying while moving. Attempting to get in for service ASAP. Looks like there is already an open investigation into the issue.

At a busy intersection the vehicle failed to restart on the automatic start/stop function. The vehicle behind almost hit us as the brake lights turned off when the pedal was released.

At a busy intersection the vehicle failed to restart on the automatic start/stop did not restart the vehicle. After getting the vehicle restarted it the ebrake activated mid way through the intersection. This occurred after the dealer applied an update to fix the issue. This was worse than the first incident as the brake was applied after the vehicle started to move after getting it restarted.

This morning at approximately 5:30 AM on my way to work on Highway 69 bridge in Tuscaloosa, Alabama my sunroof spontaneously exploded. No foreign objects hit my vehicle. At the time of the event, I thought my car had been shot or a tire exploded as it was very loud. I have spoken with the dealership and was informed that “they have never heard of any such thing”. I spoke with my insurance company, who informed me that spontaneously exploding sunroofs have been reported frequently lately. The dealership states that there is no recall, and my vehicle is out of warranty, so they are not held liable for any such event. Fortunately, I am able to file this on my insurance however, I feel that this is a manufacturer defect and should be covered by the manufacturer regardless of warranty as this is a safety risk.

My 2022 Wagoneer has been shutting off and locking up while on red lights/stops signs ever since purchasing, I was involved in a car accident at a red light and hit in the back of my truck due to it shutting completely off on me, it locked up and wouldn't turn on, this happened in 12/26/23. I have since taken it into the Dallas Dodge dealership twice with this concern, once about a yr ago and they said since it didn't shut of when they tested it they couldn't do anything. I took it again on 8/5/25 and they are saying the same thing that there's nothing they can do, they also said that Frisco Dodge has already fixed a recall for e torque electrical issues that cause 2022 Waggoners to shut off back in August 2022. It is my believe that the recall was never fixed correctly or there's something else really wrong and they need to fix it before I'm involved in another accident that's more serious next time.

I was driving down the road at 35 MPH when the Service Electric Power Steering (EPS) Message On Instrument Cluster came on. Then when I stopped the brakes were hard to deploy. I tried to reset it by turning it off and on. I had just replaced the backup batter several months back so i don't think that is it. i called the Dealership and told them I talked to Stellantis and they gave me the star online publication case number S2523000053 Rev A. on how to fix it. They said it would be several days and i would need to have it towed on my own. This a systemic problem with these vehicles I have had to pay for a recall because they said it didn't to apply to a Canadian vehicle even though it was made in Detroit. I bought it with a few thousand miles on it and have had nothing but trouble with it and a dealership that always says I would have to pay since it was Canadian. Either the screen is going black or some kind of warning on the dash it seems like every other month.

in December 2024 i received a check engine light with a locked code that disappeared after a short distance. The vehicle would not auto start from the key and we thought it was a battery .In February 2025 while on a trip i received a warning light for power steering fluid we went to a parts store and topped up the power steering fluid .on [XXX] i was driving the vehicle at 55mph while i had my [XXX] and [XXX] in the car as well as heavily pregnant along with my [XXX] grandmother . i pulled away from a traffic light and the dash board lights lit up completely check engine, stability, abs, emergency brake ,traction ,crash detection . I went to use the brakes and to change lanes and while doing so i lost brakes and power steering causing me to have to use a grass verge to bring the vehicle to a stop as the brake pedal was to the floor and the emergency brake was not engaging even though the light was lit on the dash. had i not pulled into grass to stop i would have been in a catastrophic accident. i took the vehicle to 2 Chrysler dodge jeep ram dealerships who could not fix the vehicle so took it to a 3rd dealership who were able to get brakes and power steering back into the vehicle . upon trying to pick up the vehicle within 24 - 48 hours i received a check engine light for brake pressure sensor the dealership have opened 6 star cases with jeep regarding this issue and just keep storing the code and returning the vehicle to me. when i take the vehicle to a auto zone or advance parts store with a check engine light the code is stored 4+ times with a red banner advising customer to not drive vehicle due to possible brake failure . I am 4 months into not having my vehicle and still have a check engine light for brake pressure sensor which has now been changed 4 times as well as the whole brake system. jeep are not assisting with anything other than keep telling the dealership to change the pressure sensor and re bleed the brake system. Vehicle lost brakes for the second time while driving and also lost power steering. Vehicle was serviced at dealership after first incident and was supposedly fixed by replacing the battery. It was obviously not fixed since it happened again 12 days later. Both times the vehicle randomly, and with no warning, lost braking ability and power steering.

I was driving 35mph and my breaks and steering were not working. The car started to rattle and in order to stop the car I had to start pumping on the breaks as hard as I could and have it slow down but I had no steering control. I was luckily close to my house without turns so pulled over to my driveway by pumping the breaks and screaming for a neighbor to help me not hit other cars on the road. the week prior I had brought my car in for a recall for the electric side board that comes down when the doors are open to step into the car. It was a recall then they said I already had that looked at when I brought it in last year for recalls and so this time I would have to pay 1400 for the motor and I was told by the mechanic the electric issues would continue to arise now and to get rid of this car

On April 4, 2024 while driving southbound on I-95 in Connecticut between exit 3 and 2 in Greenwich, all of the dashboard warning indicators lit up, and the brakes failed. I was able to slow to a stop avoiding hitting other vehicles, and moved to the shoulder. I turned the vehicle on and off several times, but couldn’t get the lights to go off. The car was towed to the dealership. This is not the first incident with this vehicle, prior incidents related to electrical issues with heated seats, faulty electrical equipment in the screens, and a rain leak through the microphone in the roof. The vehicle is unsafe to drive. I have children, and I now fear for their safety in this car.

Hi, I need to bring my 2022 Wagoneer back in for service. I was just in the shop a few days ago for a persistent check engine light, and the issue has returned. The check engine light came back on four days after I picked up the vehicle. This morning the vehicle stalled twice at a complete stop. The front headlights flickered and the engine shut off, but the electronics inside stayed on. I had to press the Start button to restart the engine. I also received a “Start/Stop Unavailable” message. Because this is now a repeat failure, combined with a safety-related stall, I need the vehicle fully rechecked for: ESS/Start-Stop system malfunction Auxiliary battery condition Battery current sensor BMS/charging system PCM software updates Any TSBs related to stalling or ESS on the 2022 Wagoneer Please document this as a repeat repair attempt, and if needed, I would like this escalated to a Stellantis Case Manager since the issue is safety-related and occurred immediately after a previous repair. Please let me know the earliest available appointment. Thank you.

vehicle will randomly lose all throttle power when driving and at the same time following a warning beep will flash a large red lightning bolt with the following messages: service electronic throttle control,stop/start unavailable service stop/start system, service electronic stability control and check engine light. Engine continues to run but car will not move. Once vehicle is able to be pulled over to the side of the road and turned off then cranked back up the vehicle will drive normally. Check engine light will stay on for several key cycles then it will eventually go away. This has happened at intersections and at speed on the interstate. Repair of this issue with the vehicle has been attempted 4 times and is currently at the dealership now for the 5th time and the diagnosis is that they can replace the throttle module but there are not codes pointing to that as the issue and it was stated that is is just a guess and I can then drive it and hope that it is repaired. The vehicle has been to two different dealerships for the issue as the 4th occurrence was too far away from home to get it back and it was only 319 miles between failures. The issue has not been taken seriously by the dealerships nor the customer care agents that have been contacted through the last 3 occurrences. The agent has been helpful in getting a rental or loaner to drive and delivering my vehicle back but the gravity of the problem has not been fully grasped by those examining the vehicle. The only reason this has not resulted in a crash is that each time it has occurred a space to get off the road was accessible. This will not be the case if the vehicle is continued to be driven. I did continue to drive the vehicle with the hope that the repairs would have been adequate to prevent the issue from reoccurring. This issue began in september 2024 at 30k with most recent 5th time noted below.

While driving the battery light ignited, the cars battery quickly started to decline was able to pull over when car entirely shut down after all dash lights cycled through. Replaced two BPM components and new batteries and still can not diagnose or find the problem

This is the second time this issue has happened. 1st time it happened about 1 year ago and jeep replaced some parts in relation to the ECM and etorque system. The issue happened today once again. Our jeep wagoner will just stall out our sputter in a manor to almost stall. Today it happened in the middle of an intersection while the wife was driving our 2 children home. Will have to take it in again, although it is now out of warranty by 4,000 miles. I am curious to hear what they have to say. Components have been replaced in the past regarding this issue by local Jeep dealer. The battery light came on and the check engine light came on. After a stop and restart only the check engine light is lit.

I was driving on the freeway at 70 mph when the dashboard went blank. The engine completely shut off so I steered to the side of the freeway and was able to stop the car. It won’t start, won’t lock, won’t do anything now. Had to get towed to the dealership.

While driving in my neighborhood, the car randomly shut itself off. The car was beeping and a message on the screen said “shift into park.” Once I came to a full stop, the car put itself into park and shut off completely.

The E torque system needs replaced and the part has been on backorder for months. The dealer has no idea when the new part will be available and may be up to 7 months. The vehicle is loud which is what prompted us to take it in for evaluation. We had an incident where the vehicle while in reverse and it abruptly stopped and the emergency brake was on. It would not let me move my vehicle without turning it off and back on to allow me to continue reversing.

My 2022 Jeep Wagoneer has a 5.7-liter V8 equipped with eTorque system. The etorque went bad and the vehicle stalled in the middle of a 4-lane highway at a busy intersection. My Jeep was completely dead, and I couldn't even turn my emergency flashers on, making this an extremely dangerous situation. I was fortunate this was during the daytime which is dangerous enough. Had it been at night, this would be even more dangerous. I had the Jeep towed to a dealership.

Stop start feature does not work. Occasionally engine will shut off and not start. Vehicle can roll during this time. In order to restart transmission needs to be put into park, vehicle turned off, and then back on

We issued a complaint on 12/2/2024 (#11628353). The dealership found our alternator to be faulty which caused the battery to fail the SUV to completely shut down. This happened again to us on 4/6/2025 with a full vehicle of passengers. The low battery warning appeared on the screen, we lost power steering, we lost our ability to brake, there is no emergency break when all systems are shutting down and then we lost all power to the vehicle. This all happened in a matter of 2 minutes. Thank god we were on a side road without any cars parked on the side of the road for us to pull over on. Stellantis needs to resolve these safety issues. We had elderly people with us during this last incedent, they were all scared. It is getting dangerous owning and operating a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer.

We were bringing our 2022 wagoneer to the dealership to have them investigate an issue with the battery light coming on this morning. While driving on interstate 95 north, all power cut out on the car, the power steering stopped working and the brakes failed. My husband had to navigate across 4 lanes of traffice with now power or brakes or steering to get to the shoulder. The car was towed to our dealership, and they indicated our alternator died and battery died. There were no check engine lights indicating we had an alternator issue or that we should not drive the car in for service. We talked to the service department about the batter light the morning of 12/2/2024 and they had us drive it in. This needs to be looked at as it was a very dangerous situation to navigate on the interstate.

This has happened on my vehicle twice, the first time I was stopping at a stop sign and the car gave a message about putting car in park and restarting, it put itself into park before I saw the message and so when I went to accelerate it just revved the engine. I had to push the on/off button to restart vehicle and it went. Same thing happened again about a month later (last week) this time I was pulling into our school’s drive to drop off kids but before I got to the drop off area it dinged, giving a message to put car in park and restart since I was getting ready to stop I was going to wait but almost as soon as I looked back up from reading the screen it slammed into park and same thing I had to push my on/off button to restart and go again. I was actually moving this time so we came to an abrupt stop with my children in the car. The service department said they couldn’t replicate and to come get the vehicle, I feel this is a huge safety concern for our family. What if it does this at highway speeds, I think someone will be greatly injured from this. We have a ticket open with Jeep but so far nothing.

The electrical system, transmission system, and electronic parking brake system were all actioned without command. At approximately 9:31AM, December 26th, 2023, the vehicle immediately shut down without warning. The vehicle was driving at a speed of 25-30 MPH. The gears automatically shifted down and the power steering was immediately disabled as a shutdown sequence began. The vehicle drifted left into oncoming traffic (due to the loss of power steering? and the curvature of the road ahead). Fortunately, there was a parking lot available to the left and the oncoming vehicles stopped due to the lane incursion. With difficulty, the driver steered the vehicle left towards the parking lot. Suddenly, the electronic parking brake engaged automatically. The driver did not engage the e-brake, it was activated on its own. The driver was trying to steer the vehicle without power steering and avoid oncoming traffic. The vehicle came to an abrupt halt once the e-brake was auto-engaged, and the vehicle shifted itself into “Park”. The vehicle had electrical power supplied from the battery, but the engine was completely shut off. At this time, the driver noticed a message that prompted to “Open Hood”. The only other indication that something went wrong was a “Check Engine” light. The driver opened the hood and found nothing out of place, damaged, or leaking. At this time, the driver attempted to contact towing services, but was not having any success. The driver re-started the vehicle using the “Transmission Limp Home Mode”. The “Check Engine” light was still on. The vehicle needed to be moved from its obstructive positioning in the parking lot. The driver decided to drive the vehicle back home, less than one mile away. The vehicle was repositioned safely, without further incident. The “Check Engine” light was the only remaining indication of the incident. This safety incident was a potentially fatal accident. A random, complete loss of power and control is unacceptable.

I was stopped at a red light, stacked about 10 cars deep.  Once the light turned green, I pressed the gas pedal, but the auto start-stop feature malfunctioned and turned the car completely off.  I then pressed the button to reactivate the ignition, and pressed the gas pedal again.  After moving forward a few car lengths (or more), the computer engaged the emergency brake and clamped down on the wheels. I was then rear-ended at about 15-20mph.

While driving the vehicle's braking system completely failed. During the failure multiple warning lamps came on to include ABS, Brake, and engine. The messaging system indicated brake service needed. The failure caused the entire braking system to "shut down" and a complete loss of braking ability. The brake system consistently went from no brakes to complete brake lock up. A later diagnostic via the OBD system indicated a communication failure between ECU/computer systems. No other symptoms were present prior to the failure. The vehicle is currently being inspected by the dealership.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH and accelerating on a highway ramp, the "brake and park " warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle slowed to a stop on the ramp. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but persistent. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where the failure was not duplicated, and no codes were retrieved. The contact stated that the dealer replaced the battery however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.

While driving at lows speeds approaching a stop light the vehicle will just shut off and shift into park. I have to hit the brakes, make sure its in park, and hit the start button, it restarts then doesn't do it until randomly later it does it again. There is a check engine light on.

We were driving and approaching a stop light at a major intersection when the vehicle stalled out. We heard it sputter at first and then cut off. We tried multiple times to restart, but to no avail—just kept sputtering. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was also reported to NHTSA, and I was driving alone and ascending a Colorado mountain when it stalled out. Thankfully, both times, we were able to remain safe; however, this is a huge problem as both times we were on major roads.

on March 23, 2024, the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series 3 turned off while at a stop light. We were at a red light and completely stopped and the engine turned off on us. We had the vehicle in for a routine oil change, and afterwards the vehicle battery died 3 times before the dealership replaced the battery. We are unsure if the dead battery is related to the engine turning off on the March 23 incident. I am unsure if there were any warning. We are also getting a error message that says "Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer." The dealership tries to tell us that the software is up to date. We have issues with our CarPlay always connecting to the vehicle when it should every single time.

While driving on [XXX] towards Vail, Co—the Jeep Wagoneer suddenly stopped accelerating while going up the side of the mountain. Lights on the dashboard were lit up, including the braking light. I was in the right hand lane, so luckily there was a shoulder on the side of the road, albeit very shallow, that I got into and immediately called roadside assistance from the vehicle. Prior to this moment, I had been driving for a little over an hour with no issue or warning. The safety concern is high, especially since I was on [XXX] accelerating up a mountain with lots of traffic behind me. At approximately [XXX] [XXX] Jeep Wagoneer series 2 suffered a complete brake failure without warning. This happened by the grace of god just after exiting the highway in the town of Clinton NJ. I was able to slow car by using ebrake but that worked intermittently. I was traveling at approximately 25 mph. Merely 300 yards up the road school kids were being crossed by crossing guards. The car suffered no damage no injuries thank God. I had my 3 small children in car. Stellantis and Jeep know about this issue. Google brake failure Jeep Wagoneer 2022. The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated while parking the vehicle in the contact's residential driveway, the brake pedal was depressed, however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle was uncontrollable. In addition, the contact stated that an unknown warning light was illuminated. The contact stated the vehicle went through the backyard and crashed into the kid's wooden play set. The contact's wife was an occupant in the vehicle when the failure occurred. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the local police department for inspection. The vehicle damage had not been accessed. The contact's wife suffered anxiety as a result of the failure. The vehicle was later towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed as catastrophic brake failure. The contact was advised that the service brake control unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, however the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be inspected by the corporate inspector before it could be released. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

On [XXX] I was backing up trying to hook up a Uhaul trailer when suddenly my car completely lost its brakes and crashed into the trailer. The brake pedal became completely loose. Luckily for me this happened on my home driveway, because the next day I would be making a 1000 mile trip (Pennsylvania to Panama City Beach) pulling the trailer and if this had happened somewhere along the way, I probably wouldn't be alive right now or someone else could have died. My car had to be dragged onto the tow truck, because after my car crashed behind the trailer, the car got stuck and nothing else worked. Since then, my car has been parked at Hillview Motors (Greensburg/PA), awaiting a solution from Stelantis/Jeep. Today (XXX), Stelantis sent an investigator (third party contract) to inspect my car and they will image the Event Data Record using the Bosch Crash Data Retrieval. Since this is an event that I consider very serious, I am writing this report so that NHTSA can take some action so that this problem does not happen to anyone again. After it is fixed, I intend to sell my car because I no longer trust it and I will not be able to drive it with my family inside it. While driving my vehicle down a highway today several warning lights suddenly came on including ABS, traction control, air suspension. I attempted to slow down to exit the highway and the brakes didn’t work. The brake pedal was just sinking to the floor and doing absolutely nothing to slow the vehicle down. I started approaching a light with cars stopped but luckily the turn lane was open and I was able to get off the highway and coast into a parking lot. I had to throw the car in park to get it to stop. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership I had just gotten it back from the day prior after having transmission work done. This car is a death trap, extremely dangerous, and needs to be investigated. I had been driving the car most of the day without issue. There was no warning just a sudden loss of braking ability.

I’m experiencing a persistent issue with my truck. Once the vehicle exceeds 75 mph, it begins to shake significantly. I have taken it to three different Jeep dealerships, but none have been able to identify or resolve the problem. I was advised that the tires might be the cause, so I replaced all four tires with new ones. However, the issue still persists. After researching online, I’ve found that many other Jeep Wagoneer owners are reporting the same problem, which suggests this may be a common issue. I’m seeking a thorough inspection and a more definitive diagnosis, as the situation not only affects performance but also raises safety concerns.

We have had our 2022 Wagoneer for 5 months. I noticed that the right rear axle had the boot torn and there was grease all over the bottom of the car on the right rear side. We also felt vibrations coming from the right rear. We took the car in to get the axle replaced, however we are still feeling these vibrations. After looking through Internet forums based on consumer experiences of our vehicle, it is a common issue that is being ignored by the manufacturer. One consumer, had the unpleasant experience of having the axle come off the vehicle while driving and almost flipping. I have since taken the vehicle back to the dealership but they claim that they don’t feel any vibrations, which I know they are lying because the vibrations are very prominent. I wanted to know what we could possibly do about our situation, considering that there are thousands of vehicles experiencing the same symptoms.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated while reversing out of the driveway, there was a loud booming sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the rear driver’s side rim and tire had exploded, leaving shards of metal and rubber on the ground. The contact also discovered that a single suspension arm was unsecured and missing a bolt and the nut. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000. The VIN was not available.

The initial unresolved issue is a slight tremor at speeds above 70mph. I was told that because of the speed limit that this occurs, it is above the limit of area the dealership. The are not able to road test for the issue. New issue is my Wagoneer is slipping into four wheel drive. I received a software update and now there’s a churning underneath my truck and it has become more of a strained ride As if it’s lagging but no longer slipping into 4 wheel drive. May have been damaged during the slippage and the commute to my residence.

The drivers side seat does not retain memory and will randomly start moving while driving down the road. My car has been in repair for over 9 weeks during 5-6 separate visits. No fix in place other than a software update that doesn’t have a ETA. The dealership isn’t working the moving while driving because they can’t replicate the issue.

The button that folds the second row seat is located right on top of the seat and easily accessible to my child, especially when sitting in a car seat (sitting higher). We had multiple incidents where my child pressed it while I was driving and came flying forward with tremendous force and hurting himself by the front seat. It’s an extremely easy button to press for any child and the seat folds with strong force. I had to put tape on the button so my kids shouldn’t be able to press it.

On September 4th, 2025, my wife and I purchased a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series II bearing VIN number [XXX] being sold by Carvana. On September 23rd, 2025, the Jeep Wagoneer was delivered to our residence by Carvana. The Carvana employees unloaded the Jeep Wagoneer from their tow truck and then parked the Wagoneer in our driveway. After the Carvana employees departed with our Ford Explorer, my wife and I decided to take the Wagoneer for a drive. We loaded our three children into the vehicle and my wife drove, while I remained in the front passenger seat. We traveled approximately one block away from our residence when we came to a stop at a stop sign and the Wagoneer turned off its ignition on its own and put itself into park. We were on a slight incline and the vehicle began to roll backwards under no power, but due to the incline. To prevent this, my wife pressed the brake pedal and the vehicle ceased moving. The only way we were to get the ignition running again was to restart the vehicle by pressing the ignition push-button. The vehicle restarted and there were two error messages that appeared on the instrument cluster. The first message indicated that the start/stop system was unavailable. The second error message indicated that the hood was open. We left the stop sign, in an attempt to return to our residence, where the mechanical failure occurred and then came to a traffic signal that was red on U.S. Highway 11, in three lanes of traffic. We came to a stop and the same mechanical error occurred yet again with the Wagoneer turning itself off and shifting itself into park. My wife restarted the ignition and the same two error messages appeared on the instrument cluster. This time the “check engine” light came on. We also determine there to be heavy thumping in the brake pedal when pressing the brakes. During this first drive in the Wagoneer, my wife adjusted the rear-view mirror and the rear-view mirror fell right off the windshield. Vehicle was in motion the battery indicator and service engine light displayed. Additional warnings for other components (e.g. lane assist, brakes, battery power saver etc.) displayed, stopped at an intersection, applied acceleration and vehicle shut off, put itself into park, became disabled and would not restart. No power to restart or to power road hazard flashers. Complete shutdown of vehicle. Vehicle neutral override was finally discovered to get it moved to a safe location off the roadway and prior to having it towed to dealership for further investigation into cause.

After Performing an Auto start, I unlocked doors with keyfob and placed a child in my vehicle. when I shut the door, the vehicle locked the doors with child inside and I was unable to unlock the doors with the Keyfob for approx 5 mins. I eventually was able to get the rear hatch to open using the keyfob and was able to get my child out of the vehicle. The temperature outside was over 100 degrees. Had the vehicle not unlocked and the auto start feature turned the vehicle off the livelihood of my children being trapped in the vehcile in that heat could have been fatal. There were no alarms, nor warning lamps or messages present after i was able to get in and finally turn the vehicle on by pressing the brake and pushing the ignition button. At this time, the dealer states it is an unknown cause, with no diagnostics shown for what happened. They have not been able to reproduce the situation. vehicle has been inspected by the Dealership Service dept.

This vehicle is not equipped with an Auto High Beam feature. The result of this is that when the Headlights are in Auto Mode, the Manual control of the High Beams is disabled. Most people leave their headlights in Auto mode to ensure that they dont forget to turn them on or off, but then the high beams are inoperable. This can pose a significant safety concern when you consider that when someone is driving and needs the use of the high beams they have to take their eyes off the road to fumble around with the headlight dial so they can turn it to manual to enable the use of the high beams.

When the master lighting switch is set to the auto position, the high beam headlights will not activate unless the master lighting switch is first changed to the ‘on’ position. This is the same as the recall for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L which was issued in approximately October 2021. I figured this out when I was searching the internet for why my high beam lights were not working. It should be noted that I just recently purchased this vehicle and am the second owner.

When opening any door to the vehicle, the interior lights will stay on for 90 seconds and then go off. And will only come back on if the key fob unlock button is pressed, or if you climb into the vehicle and initiate the lights "on" button overhead. I've had the vehicle to 2 different Wagoneer certified dealers and they both have confirmed the behavior of the vehicle. We've been in pursuit with Jeep for a fix for a year, and it has not been fixed. It is a safety issue because when the interior lights go out, and I'm loading items or children into my vehicle with the doors open at night, oncoming and surrounding traffic cannot see me, as my car is completely dark. This leaves myself, my children and vehicle extremely vulnerable, not to mention it's extremely difficult to navigate what you're doing in the vehicle when the lights are off. 90 seconds is too short of a time window for the lights to stay illuminated. While in the elementary school carline this morning, waiting to drop my kids off at school, my brakes completely failed unexpectedly, causing me to roll into the SUV in front of me. The line in the mornings is long and slow moving and I was stopped behind several other cars also waiting to drop their kids off — letting off the break and re-engaging the break to move forward as the line progressed. Halfway through the carline, I pushed on my break as the car in front of me had come to another complete stop, however, my break never engaged and my Wagoneer continued to roll forward without any warning or rationale. I continued to frantically push on my brakes trying to get my car to stop without them ever engaging and I rolled directly into the back of the SUV in front of me. I ultimately had to turn the gear to 'Park' to prevent the car from continuing to move forward. After sitting for a second and shifting it back into Drive, I did not experience another issue, however drove straight home and have not driven it again out of fear. My brake fluid was replaced less than 3 months ago and my pads and rotors are in great shape. There is zero reason this could have happened. I have an appointment with the mechanic (Corwin Jeep) tomorrow morning to look into the issue. Thankfully no damage was done to either car based on how slowly we were moving (1-2mph) but I cannot stress enough how catastrophic this could have been had a child been walking in front of my car, or had I been driving on the open road. This needs to be looked into urgently and a recall issued if others are reporting this same problem.

Today 30JUN2022 my wife had a forward collision. She T-boned a Hyundai Sonata on the passenger door the Hyundai’s side airbags deployed and the jaws of life had to be used to get the passenger door open. My wife’s speed was about 5-10 MPH it was in a parking lot. None of the safety features activated. There was no FCW, no visual or audio warnings, no brake jerking or braking at all. The front collision sensors failed, which may have assisted in preventing this accident. My vehicle is at a collision center waiting for an estimate to get fix, my insurance company has been notified. My vehicle will be available for data pull or inspection. No malfunction lights or warning lights were on prior to this accident. Problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by anyone.

The vehicle indicated to stop and pull over when attempting to start it in the garage, it was not moving. It made a terrible grinding noise. Towed to the dealer with a failed battery and need to replace the Motor Generator Unit (MGU), part of its eTorque mild-hybrid system. The part is on back order for more than 45 days as there are more than 282 failures reported. This is a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer that the dealership is saying is out of warranty and will charge me $4,000 to fix.

Dec 17, 2024 2022 Wagoneer was dropped of for service for a slight rattle in the engine. It was determined that the cams and shifters were “over-torqued” and had thrown metal shavings into the engine. This would require a full engine replacement which was conducted over the course of nearly 4 months. This is a reported and known issue/defect for Wagoneer. It was picked up March 28, 2025. On April 11, 2025 I experienced a full mechanical and/or electrical catastrophic failure while driving. The vehicle would not accelerate or brake. Multiple warnings and failures lit up the dash: service engine, oil pressure, throttle, etc. The emergency brake engaged, the engine very loudly shook, rattled and died. When trying to engage brake to put vehicle in neutral to be towed we heard a series of clicks and a pop and the engine began to smoke near drivers side. Stellantis refuses to acknowledge the recurring issues in these engines and continues to deny our buy back claim. These vehicles are dangerous. This experience violates every customer protection in this country and Stellantis should be held accountable for taking millions of dollars from customers knowing this issue is recurring. We are still hoping for a positive resolution.

For the third summer in a row, this vehicle has had a "hybrid/battery/engine" issue which has caused the vehicle to stop in the middle of traffic, specifically at start/stop intersections during high traffic times - the first time was on a vacation road trip about 600 miles away from home, the second time was in town while we had our three kids in the vehicle, and this most recent time thankfully I was alone driving home from work in rush hour. The vehicle shuts off, battery and check engine lights are illuminated and the vehicle must be stopped, restarted, and turned back on in order to move away from the middle of traffic. This is the third incident of this happening with Jeep warranty covering the first two repairs due to it being the hybrid/battery system. I am now waiting for two weeks before the dealer can even diagnoze the issue to undrstand what our next steps might be.

Vehicle purchased on September 7, 2022, with 16,182 miles. It was sold to me with an open recall. Late December 2023, I complained about car not starting on a frequent basis. Roadside assistance was called to jumpstart battery. Every time the vehicle was jumpstarted the check engine light remained on for days to up to two weeks. January 5, 2023, vehicle went to repair shop, techs claimed nothing was wrong, vehicle returned to repair shop 5x within a 4-to-5-month period for the repair shop to decide it needed a new auxiliary battery. Unfortunately, the fix was temporary as it began to fail again and now leaving me on the road stuck. I drive, I stop at a stop sign or red light, or intersection as I move to turn, car shut off. Almost causing several accidents. I was on the highway when my GPS started glitching and shut off, turn back on and some of my safety icons would stop functioning. I strongly believe this car has major electrical issues that the repair shop cannot seem to find what is actually causing the battery to fail or die. When a repair is done the main issue is never totally corrected and other issues arise. November 9, 2024, vehicle went to repair shop, again they can't seem to find what's wrong. November 18, 2024, it was towed again for same issue, it is now January 12, 2025, and my vehicle is still in the shop. About a week ago they told me that "they think was causing the battery to fail is the sideboard that seems to not work properly" and they cannot guaranty me that that's it. I asked the repair shop for the Multi Vin Summary Report, and I am at total disbelief at the amounts of visits this vehicle has been in the repair shop before I purchased this vehicle. Since I purchased this vehicle, it has 12 confirmed repair visits, with 3-4 recalls and not to mention the visits that's nothing wrong was found. Prior owner had 6 repairs and 2 recalls. Totally unsafe on the road!

2022 Jeep Wagoneer 5.7 Etorque On [XXX] at approximately [XXX], The Jeep Wagoneer was traveling northbound on [XXX] at an estimated speed of 45 MPH, the vehicle suddenly stalled and lost power. The vehicle came to a complete stop, and the emergency brakes were activated. Despite multiple attempts, the vehicle would not restart, and the instrument panel was intermittently turning off. As a result, the vehicle became inoperable, causing a road hazard and impeding traffic. Officer McKinnon (#334) from the Merced Police Department (Incident #[XXX]) was dispatched to the scene to assist with traffic control and manage the situation. The vehicle was later towed to my residence and subsequently serviced at Razzari Jeep in Merced, CA. The vehicle had 100 mile of fuel remaining in the gas tank. Driving on freeway and needed to come to urgent stop. The vehicle did come to a stop and no collision occurred. However, after stopping, the vehicle then would not move. The car was on and was unable to be turned off. Multiple error messages appeared and the gears were flashing. At risk due to being at a full stop on the freeway with traffic still moving at posted speeds, and unable to move vehicle. Police and courtesy vehicle arrived a short time later to prevent a rear end collision and stayed until a tow truck arrived and could tow vehicle to local dealership. Vehicle is at the dealership and has not yet been inspected to understand the issue. There were no previous lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the problem to indicate there may be an issue with the vehicle. A year ago, the vehicle had another issue where it engaged the parking brake on it's own. Was not in danger during this incident.

In October 2022 our Wagoneer was taken to the dealership due to the radio display turning off and on, the passenger screen not functioning properly or connecting through the HDMI. We were told the issue was resolved after replacing parts in the dash. About a month later the radio screen again turned off while driving. In February 2023, while driving the Wagoneer in the fast lane on the interstate, the power steering went out, the brakes would not work and the vehicle proceeded to shut down. The dash repeatedly displayed different instructions, "press brake and push button to start," "vehicle not in park," "shift P to start," "stop/start restart required," "shift to P then desired gear," and the red battery symbol appeared on the dash. After making it safely to the shoulder, the vehicle did restart. We were blessed not to have been involved in a collision, as we were initially surrounded by commercial vehicles. Luckily, it appears the commercial truck drivers noticed something was wrong and slowed their vehicles, allowing us to move from the fast lane to the right shoulder before our vehicle came to a complete stop. A short time later, we were able to start the vehicle. 30-45 minutes later while driving, the dash and radio screen turned off. After stopping in a parking lot and turning the vehicle off for a bit, we started the vehicle. When placing the vehicle in drive, it moved forward a few feet and the parking brake was somehow engaged on its own. Our vehicle was taken to a nearby dealership for inspection 2 days ago and we have not heard back from them. We did show the service department manager a video that was taken while the shut down was occurring that showed the instructions being displayed on the dash as well as the speedometer showing the vehicle coming to a stop.

Incident: Was pulling up to a gated entrance waiting on Gate to open, then as I pressed the gas to go, the engine shut off and lights appeared on dash in yellow- the Auto Shut off with an Exclamation point, Check engine light, traction control light, and the throttle control light was in red. The car was then cranked back up and pulled into parking space but did not move as it should it was slow. Turned car off again and this time it was very slow to crank. Once it was cranked, the car had a noticeable shake to the vehicle. Prior to incident, no issues or lights were on the dash. Car was tested by local mechanic and had the following codes appear on diagnostic test: P1414 Cylinder 4 Reactivation Control Performance, P032F Combustion Engine Producing Insufficient Torque; P2172 High Airflow/Vacuum Leak Detected This happened one previous time pulling away from a stop light several months ago (again at a slow speed-car shut off and auto shut off light appeared). Did not report or document as I was able to get car cranked back up immediately and continue driving with no issues at that time.

Hi - I was driving on the highway and battery light turned on and then power steering failure light & brake failure light turns on and I pulled over going 60 mph across 3 lanes of traffic and then as soon as I got to side of road the car turned off and auto shifted into park. I don’t even know how I avoided what could’ve been a deadly accident. I was so lucky it didn’t shut off with people behind me going 70 mph. I wasn’t even braking to get to the side of the road, it just shut off completely. It wouldn’t turn on and couldn’t even use emergency flashers. I sat on the side of the road for 2 hrs for a flat bed tow truck who had to charge the vehicle to get it on. The dealership said they couldn’t find any codes for what went wrong. After spending so much money on this vehicle, I feel 100% unsafe for myself, my passengers, and others on the road. I really don’t think this is right - what will it take for someone to recall these vehicles and make sure they are safe? In all my years, I have never experienced a scarier moment. How will I know this will not happen again and potentially harm or cause death to myself or other passengers on the road? Imagine a semi truck right behind you and the car just coming to a complete stop? Dealership has no idea what caused it because they said no codes occurred.

On four (4) separate occasions between December 2022 and April 2023 this vehicle lost all power and the engine shut off while the vehicle was in motion and being driven. The vehicle was being operated under normal conditions. Three occasions were while traveling on the Interstate, and the other time was on a city street. During these incidents, all electronic displays would shut off, the engine would turn off, and power steering stopped working. The vehicle would need to be coasted to a complete stop before the engine could be restarted and driven again. This was a safety risk to occupants in the vehicle as the vehicle could not be controlled, and a risk to other motorists on the road as lights were no longer working and the vehicle could not be steered to avoid a collision. This vehicle has been to a dealer's service center and the cause has not been determined. This safety issue has not been fixed. The manufacturer is aware of these incidents and has not provided a solution, diagnosis, or repair. Two warning lights turned on immediately before the vehicle's power turned off: Electric Power Steering Fault Warning Light and Electronic Throttle Control Warning Light.

Concerns: Electrical is slow to respond the screen. The turn knob is a HUGE safety concern. The turn know sometime doesn’t not click or stay in park. The vehicle will lunge. The knob is easy hot accidentally hit and move out of the gear causing the auto brake to jerk the car to a stop. The getting the brake release to get car back in gear is slow to unlock. Sometimes I have to turn the car completely off. Turn it back on then do the break release and start all over. The auto break has actually stopped in the middle of the road for no reason and I’m lucky. I just didn’t get hit from behind and I had nothing to do with the turn knob. The auto stop is very sensitive. I turn it off almost 100% of the time like when you’re at a stop sign because when it comes back on, it’ll jerk the car. I’m just very disappointed in the Wagoneer as a customer. I’ll look forward to the day that I can replace this car.

I feel unsafe for me and my family to be driving this vehicle. And Jeep services is no help. I have a case manager who keeps selling me. There's nothing they can do.

There have been multiple electric problems/warnings that the dealer has been unable to duplicate. The most alarming was when my accelerator quite responding normally on the highway and my ability to accelerate was drastically impaired. A few minutes prior to this, my adaptive cruise control failed and multiple error lights appeared on the dash. My husband believes the electrical problems stem from the hybrid motor. I have attached photos of a small percentage of my repair invoices. I also have phots and video of my instrument cluster when some of these issues occurred.

The contact stated that upon entering the vehicle, she found that the pre-programmed driver seating position had been inadvertently reprogrammed, defaulting to the factory settings. Occasionally, the seat positioning would be reprogrammed erratically, preventing entry into the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who performed a software update, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who then replaced the seat control module, but the failure recurred and had become a regular failure. The vehicle was repaired. The display in the dashboard loses power leaving the driver unable to control navigation, climate, audio, Bluetooth and all other components controlled via the in dash display. Basically all of the car’s electrical functions are controlled via the display, so this is a problem. Also, the driver seat will completely recline itself and move all the way backwards after the vehicle is turned off. This causes the rear passenger to not have leg room when entering the vehicle. This electrical problem has happened at least 8 times in my vehicle.

The entire computer system stops working. Unable to turn down radio, control climate, turn off heated seats or steering wheel, unable to open turn or fold down seats. Passengers have been stuck in car and need to climb over seats to exit. Radio stuck on high is very distracting while driving. Seats stuck on high heat are also very distracting.

At two thousand miles the power steering went dead. Limped it home as I was told it would be difficult to drive but not unmanageable. Once I drove 35 miles home the dealership said bring it in and we can get you a loaner. On driving to the dealership the power steering turned on for half a second. Luckily wasn’t applying a ton of force to turn the wheel and it just made me swerve half way in the ditch. Had I been going fast we would of been upside down in the ditch or worse.

I was driving through the parking lot at my daughter’s school, and the vehicle shut off entirely when going at slow speeds. The vehicle lost all power steering, and braking was more difficult. Stopped safely, and the vehicle wouldn’t restart. Dealership confirmed it was a failure of the 48v battery system.

Freezing center console screen and navigation, sometimes the center front console screen just goes black while driving, the phone won't stay synced, seat memory fails, the seat heaters do not stay on, and when you press the heater button to try and turn them back on nothing happens / the buttons do not function. The ENTIRE vehicle including the steering wheel starts shaking/vibrating around 48 mph and the shaking/vibrating violently increases as you accelerate. I have replaced all 4 tires with the exact same tires the vehicle is sold with and the shaking/vibrating was not fixed. The dealership had me come in to rebalance all 4 new tires and that did not fix the problem either. The multipoint inspection shows nothing is wrong. There are no warning lights on the dash or otherwise. I have researched the shaking issue and a lot of Wagoneer owners are all complaining about the same issue with no resolution. My Wagoneer started the shaking issue around 25k odometer miles, before then it drove BEAUTIFULLY and most complaints say it started anywhere between 100 and 3,000 odometer miles, so I count myself slightly luckier than most that mine didn't start having this issue until 25k. However, this is an 85k SUV and these issues are unacceptable let alone the fact that there are hundreds of posts from people everywhere complaining about the same issues and no one has the solution even after bringing Stellantis in on their complaints. I fear something very bad is going to come of this particular issue being ignored. My Wagoneer literally feels like my tires are going to explode off while driving 70-75 on the highway.

Driving vehicle home on main highway at 55MPH, had been driving for about 15 miles. vehicle completely shut down. Engine shut off, power steering failed, lights shut off, everything electric shut down. was unable to steer the vehicle to the shoulder and it rolled to a stop in the middle of the 2 lane road in the dark. once it stopped it locked into park and couldnt be pushed off the road. Hazard lights would not work either car was completely blacked out in the middle of the road, and would not restart. Car behind us saw us in time and stopped and turned on their hazard lights till the fire department arrived to flag traffic. towed vehicle to dealership. at dealership the next day the vehicle started like nothing was wrong, showed no codes. Dealership kept vehicle for 10 days and couldnt get the vehicle to duplicate the incident. they drove the car almost 100 mile and found nothing.

Driving my vehicle home it was hard to turn and back wheels were locked out and not turning. After turning on and off vehicle SERV 4WD came on and manual said to get it in for service. Also, Uconnect and heat seaters stopped working. After having it towed at 2&1/2 mo old into dealerships service dept, was told by wagoneer client services that this wheels lock out is a common issue they are having and requires system updates, rear diff fluid drain and replace, and they will be doing a Cam sensor replacement while its in for a known issue with that(also not a recall), and the Uconnect and seat heaters intermittently not working they don't have an ETA yet for. The wheels locking out and not working with kids in the car is super scary. And if its a known issue they need to be doing a recall before someone gets into a serious accident. Not ok.

While sitting at a stop light my vehicle started malfunctioning and put itself into park. Several different warnings came across the screen and I was unable to change gears or start my car for a while. Finally my car allowed me to push the break and restart the vehicle. A warning light came on with an “A!” But then was no longer on the screen once I turned my vehicle off and back on.

Driving approximately 30 miles/hour (estimated) the car started the process of shutting down and then shut down - while moving. The lights flickered on the dash board but don't recall exactly what the indicators were. We were able to pull over to the side of the road, although not entirely off of the road. It was 11:00 PM. This is a safety issue because my family was in the car while it was moving and shut down while moving. We bought the car approximately 10 days prior to this happening and it had 17 miles on it when we bought it brand new.

Driving down the road no cars close in front of or behind me. All sensors on Jeep were clean and not obstructed. Radio started making weird noises and the emergency brakes completely locked up. Vehicle behind me was a truck pulling a trailer and nearly crashed into my car. I had to turn the car on off a couple times before I could move again.

At around 800 miles several warning lights turn on regarding servicing 4WD system and the vehicle became stuck in 4LO. The rear differential and transfer case were shot already and was told from dealer the cause was a control module but they had no update or fix for the module yet. Vehicle was not able to be driven without further damage until repaired. Going on 3 weeks without brand new vehicle.

The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. On 8/22/25 I was driving on the Interstate and attempted to set my cruise at 74 mph. After turning the cruise on and reaching the speed of 74 mph, I pressed the "set+" button. Almost immediately the car sped forward and within seconds I had reached the speed of 83 mph. I applied the brakes and looked down to see the cancelled cruise speed of 100 on my screen. I turned the cruise off and then back on. I was then able to successfully set the cruise at 74 mph. On 9/25/25 I was driving on the highway. I attempted to set my cruise at 56 mph. After turning on the cruise and reaching my desired speed, I pressed the "set+" button. Immediately the car sped forward and before I had a chance to react the car was going 65 mph. I applied the brakes and looked down to see the cancelled cruise speed of 100 on my screen. I turned the cruise off and back on. I pressed the "set+" button when I was going 56 mph and I immediately noticed that the cruise had set itself to 70 mph so I applied the brakes, turned the cruise off and back on. This time after pressing the "set+" button the cruise set itself at 60 mph. I applied the brakes, turned the cruise off and back on. On the 4th try, after pressing the "set+" button the cruise speed remained set at 56 mph.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the third-row passenger’s side panel. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact was able to fit their fingers between the window and the panel. The contact stated that while turning the steering wheel to the right or the left, the front driver’s and passenger’s side wheels were vibrating and made a winding sound. The contact stated that while making a sharp turn, there was a loud clunking sound and vibration coming from the wheels. The contact stated that the message to clear the front camera was displayed, and that the Driver Assist feature was deactivated because the camera was not clean. The contact believed there was a glitch in the system because the camera seemed to be clean at the time of the warning. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V545000 (Structure); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer replaced the panel and claimed that the panel was flush with the vehicle. After the vehicle was repaired, the whistling and rattling sound persisted. The contact inspected the vehicle again and stated that the panel and the window were not flush and were still able to place their fingers between the panel and the window. The dealer informed the contact that the work was completed and could not adjust the panel. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,200.

Visor post clips crack which causes the visor to drop creating a major safety issue. Based upon online research, this appears to be a very well-known problem for Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators over several model years (2018 to at least 2023 it seems). To repair a visor at the dealership is over $200, or $400+ when both fail (as mine and tens of thousands of others have). In researching this issue, a $10 aftermarket clip sold on Amazon will fix it.

The main head unit for the infotainment system, specifically the software. Upon failing a software update in August 2024, the vehicle started switching itself from English to Italian, from Standard to Metric units, the high beams would no longer function, the auto locking doors after 15mph would no longer work, the emergency pedestrian sensing braking was turned off, the entire infotainment screen randomly shuts off and comes back on as well. Without readily available high beams my ability to see further distances at night was diminished. 2)The uninitiated change in language and units of measure made it more difficult to verify vehicle speed and other important settings with intervention to return the system to English. 3) Largest concern, auto locks not turning on, without notifying the driver, left my young children at risk of opening the back doors and falling out of the vehicle at high speeds. The dealership has tried to fix this twice, they have updated the software to current version and reset the system. They also reset the customer programmable features, which corrected the issue with the high beams, but the other issues with software remain, including the auto locks at speed, language change, units change and screen shutting off and on. I have also contacted Jeep customer service, they do not have a remedy in place and verified the software is up to date. After reviewing Jeep Wagoneer forums, this is effecting many owners of the Wagoneer after that fall 2024 update, and all the dealerships are scratching their heads. But without autolocks at speed, this is a big issue. No warning lights came on to let me know, and the bug seems to be in all software versions for the Wagoneer from Fall 2024 to current.

Auto was being towed by my RV. Frame rail extension welds on vehicle failed and vehicle broke loose and struck utility pole destroying it. Could have hit oncoming traffic or innocent bystanders. Vehicle being inspected by Chrysler third party inspectors and State Farm Insurance. I believe “cold welds” to be responsible in a critical frame part. There are several hundred of these vehicles being towed “four down” and pose a serious public risk. Vehicle is available for inspection at this time. There were no warning lamps

I have had extensive issues with the 2022 Wagoneer Series III. Battery has failed, leather seats show wear and signs of peeling after 2 years, main car display blacks out repeatedly, moon roof rattles, heated seats have gone out TWICE in front seats and needed to be replaced, the list goes on. Most recently, the power steering went out while I was driving. I called the dealership and they told me it was likely a fluke and to keep driving it. 4 days later, an automatic update was installed and now the Forward Collision Warning light is on. I don't know whether the collision system will work or not - can't test it, obviously. My safety is obviously at risk. Power steering stops mid-drive. Anti-collision system errors out. These most recent issues started on November 1, 2024.

There is a major design issue with the front end of this truck. There is a problem with the front end that causes major outside tire wear. I had put about 7000 miles on the truck since I had it. The truck came with brand new tires and I had the steel belt showing and only noticed this when I washed the truck my self. I brought it to the dealership to get it looked at but they said they can’t find any reason for this. If you look at a lot of on-line forums you can see this is a major problem I’m not sure if it is the auto adjusting air ride suspension or just an issue with the front drive axel. The tires would have blown out when driving with my family if I didn’t notice this when I did.

The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was contacted and served with lemon law documents, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

I was driving and the vehicle shut down and shifted into idle mode while in driving mode. Smelled something burning. Turned car off and back on quickly (as was on the road) and the smell was gone but the check engine light was on. I took to dealership next morning and it has been three weeks now that it has been at the shop. They are saying it’s an issue with the hybrid part of the battery/engine that has gone bad.

Current issue, once again electrical issue with locks not working and emergency braking system activation on its own with no reason. Battery keeps going dead, front right speed module replaced with problem persisting. No resolution in sight dealership waiting on Stanantis for further information.

Vehicle has had a noticeable vibration at highway speeds of 75-80 mph through the entire steering and front end, seemingly resulting in dangerous tire wear (to the point of being bald on the outside edges of front tires.) Problem has been evident since new. It has had tires replaced, been aligned by multiple dealers and had tires road force balanced, however nothing has improved. Vehicle does not feel secure at highway speeds, and tire wear dangerously impedes traction.

While driving on the highway the 2022 Wagoneer flashed an error on the front dash that read "Adaptive Cruise Control Unavailable" within seconds of this error "Cruise Control not Available" error also flashed. Then the vehicle started to decelerate on its own. The vehicle would not accelerate with the gas pedal completely depressed. And continued to decelerate. We were able to safely, exit the highway because it was very early and very few vehicles on the highway at this time. Following this occurrence the vehicles has been into two different dealerships that stated they would not be able to make repairs because they cannot duplicate the system failure.

I purchased the car, July 2022. It was a used certified vehicle with 3289 miles on it. This is a commercial vehicle as I own my own business. I reported two days after purchasing it that The front passenger tire shakes. For two years now, I have been trying to get Wagoneer and my dealership to fix the issue. Last Thursday, I was instructed to replace all the tires and see what happens. I did so And the shaking is still occurring. I received an email from Wagoneer services this morning telling me there is nothing they can do about it. I have a call into an attorney. This car has been towed on a flatbed three times since purchasing has been in the shop 16 times sometimes over three months at one time. I do believe that I should have to pay for a vehicle that is so terrible especially being $105,000 vehicle. Wagoneer is impeding my business and my business revenue because I cannot drive this car safely. I have been paying $1500 payment for two years and have never had a car that worked 100% properly. They refused to reimburse me for any of my time down. My contract states that I am to have a Wagoneer as a rental while they are working on my car that is only happened to one time. They tried to give me itty-bitty cars to run my business out of.

I took my daughter to the Dr in corpus which is an hour away. When returning home we were on our way to pick up our prescriptions when my car completely died on us 4 times. Check engine was on. I took it yo our dealership to get it he led out driving on the backroads. They had it for a few weeks, cleared the check engine light but could not indicate the issue. Why clear the light if something was wrong? They shipped it to another dealership which they couldn’t indicate the issue either. My point is if I’m driving on the highway or on a crowded road what’s going yo happen? I have no signal or hazard lights then this happens. Why would I want this car back. Plus we have seat belt recall??? Like okay you want me to jeopardize myself and my family. Just buy the vehicle back. I had issues on my gas and break popping for months was in the shop 5/6 times same issue. Sounds like a lemon law should take place

Vehicle has alignment issues and ruining tires in 2000 miles. Problem started at around 25,000 miles and now at 32,000 miles. and has been at the dealer for over 2 months waiting on wagoneer engineering to figure it out. 2 dealers and Wagoneer blame the issue on the tires and not addressing the issue and saying alignment is fine yet the print out shows red indicating out of alignment, independent has confirmed there is a problem with the alignment. Vehicle has also developed a shake/vibration while driving and is making it hard to drive causing fatigue. I replaced the tires at a dealer and after 2000 miles they are ruined and they are not standing behind the warranty they stated.

I started my 2022 series ll Wagoneer in my driveway and began driving away. I realized I forgot something and had to run back into my house. My [XXX] mother in law was I. The passenger seat and remained there while I ran in the house. I opened my drivers side door, left the Jeep running and left the door open while I ran inside. I was inside maybe 30 seconds and when I walked out the door my Jeep was driving by itself up my driveway with the door wide open and my mother in law seat buckled in the passenger side screaming. The Jeep drove until it landed on its side in a large ditch with the other side up in the air. When I ran to the Jeep the gear shift knob was in park. I got my mother in law out by her crawling across the middle and the driver seat. I have this all on video from home security cameras. I had the Jeep pulled out by tow truck and I drove it to the dealership. They had it for over a week the first time for this and they said during the time they had it , it would intermittently work as it should , then not work the next time but had no answers or resolution bc there were no codes that came up. So it was sent back to me with no resolution. It still does not work as should when tested. Also now it will at any given time totally shut off while sitting at a red light and give no warning other than when I go to accelerate when the light turns green, it will roll backwards and the gear shift says park but the dash says D1. This has happened several times now and I have to hurry and restart the vehicle with cars honking behind me and almost causing accidents. Driving down the highway and another car turned into my lane. I turned/swerved to the left to avoid collision and all side and curtain airbags deployed in the vehicle. I did not crash into anything. There was zero damage to the exterior of my vehicle. The manufacturer (Stellantis) claims there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, and that it detected the vehicle was going to roll over, and that is why the airbags deployed. The vehicle was not going to roll over, the airbags deploying was the most dangerous thing that occurred. I was not able to see to either side, but was able to pull over to the median and come to a stop. The vehicle was inspected by the manufacturer hired engineer. The manufacturer would not give me any information or a copy of his report/inspection. There were no warnings before this happened. I had my 9mth old baby in the back seat. With no vision out the side, we were both put at risk, as well as any others on the highway. The scare of airbags deploying when no collision occurred was very intense.

Purchased in Jan 2023 within a day we had to bring it back, hood latch open error, unconnect box error, lane assistance wouldn’t work. It went every week to the dealership for 2 and a half months; sensors have been replaced, electrical harness has been replaced, display has been replaced and the display still will just shut down and restart; the vehicle will just shut down and engage emergency brake when it was parked and has jumped the vehicle with this. Was then told we need a new co-ax cable we’ve been waiting on since April and the dealership won’t call us back. The air ride suspension is disabled now saying it won’t work due to payload but nothing is hooked to the vehicle. We’ve tried to shut the vehicle down and restart it and it won’t come out of it; the heated seats will randomly come on when it’s almost 90 degrees out and we’re getting the auto park engaged even though the car is already in park and we’ve shut it off, we have to restart the car change gears put it back in park and shut it off to get rid of the message

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated while driving at various speeds on several occasions, the Lane Departure sensor failed to alert the contact that it was safe to merge. The contact stated that the sensor instead directed the vehicle to enter the next lane. As a result of the failure, the contact was concerned that the sensor error might cause a crash. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that an unknown sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to take the vehicle to another dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to take the vehicle to a different dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 17,287.

While driving, around 30 MPH the steering wheel locked up and all the driver safety items such as traction control, breaking lane assist, power steering simultaneously disengaged on the car. I almost hit another car also turning head on.

None of the issues with this vehicle have ever been addressed by the manufacturer. We have had a STAR case opened and shut with no resolution. The infotainment system glitches, completely goes black, radio doesn't work and the back-up camera will fail on occasion. The blind spot warning is inconsistent and is therefore never relied on while driving. The heated seats have a Technical service bulletin for Jeep service departments. The heated seats shut off after 5 min. The rear brakes have locked up while applying pressure to stop almost causing an accident. Jeep client services and the dealer service department have done multiple updates both in shop and over the air without fixing any of the issues. They have refused to address even the safety concerns. Approximate incidents unknown as this is a daily issue with this vehicle. All service appointment dates can be provided.

My Air bag Failure light is on and continuously dings and tries to call emergency services over and over every few seconds while I am driving. This is a distraction to my driving and the only way to shut it off is to select the OK button on the infotainment screen. My active lane management has not worked since the dealership last updated my vehicle back on January 5th and Wagoneer is aware of this issue. This is a known issue from an update with Wagoneer. I have several electrical issues that have been reported to the dealer and Wagoneer including my emergency braking not working as well as my Active Cruise control.

Driving normally and instantly, many alert lights came on. Brake booster failed and difficult to stop vehicle. Vehicle engine power decreased. Radio screen shuts down frequently which is less an issue of safety but reflects instability of entire electrical system which seems to cause errors in critical systems such as braking and other safety equipment. Concerns regarding critical malfunctions seem to be mounting in the Wagoneer and will likely result in injury at some point if not already.

Started with the cold weather in December. I got a notification that I need to service the Power Steering system. Lasted for two drives and then went away. Approximately two weeks later, while driving my family in town, the power steering light came on again. Came to a stop at a stop sign and the car put itself in Park. The car put itself in park three more times in a span of 5 minutes of driving. The Forward collision warning light came on and would not let me drive forward. While driving, the electronic parking break came on and I almost lost control of the vehicle and fishtailed. Once I got to my driveway, the car struggled to make it up the driveway and once I put the car in park, it died. I had to jump the car to get it to the street. Once at the bottom of my driveway, the car struggled in reverse on a flat service. Service department has had the vehicle for a week and the last update that i have gotten was that the engineering department has to order a battery for my vehicle and that they are unsure what the problem is.

ABS lock up and collision avoidance system (blindspot sensor) failures - The vehicle has been serviced unsuccessfully 5 times now for shaking and vibration on the highway, software failures and blind spot collision avoidance sensor failures. Twice since I picked it up at the dealership on Saturday 9/17 (5th visit), the ABS has noted a system failure on the dash. It also shut down the collision avoidance system several times after noting a blindspot sensor failure. However, today after it noted the ABS failure, the brakes locked up the rear tires while braking. I reached out to Wagoneer on Saturday, and again twice today by phone and once by email to the rep at FCA and have not gotten a return call or email.

As I was pulling up to a red light, the vehicle threw itself into park and completely stopped and would not move. I was unable to put gear into drive. Thankfully, I was not going at full speed. After a couple minutes, I was able to put my foot on brake to restart the car. At this point, the engine and battery light were on as well. My fear is what would have happened had the brake auto-engaged at full speed or the highway? There were no issues with this prior to this happening. It has been taken to dealership for repair and has been escalated with a STAR case to get additonal engineer input. Given the dangerous nature of what occured, I wanted to report now even though I'm not sure what the resolution will be to fix it.

Major issues with the collision avoidance system - blind spot sensors continue to fail and shut off sporadically, or sensors in the mirror light up making you think you are about to hit someone when no one is near your vehicle. Has also shut down collision avoidance system and dinged multiple errant warnings for 3-5 minutes so badly we had to pull over and restart the vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle shakes in the steering wheel and passenger front seat intermittently between approximately 65-77 mph. They told us it was bad Nexen tires so we paid ~$1k to replace them and they replaced a defective rim. Vehicle is still having the same issues. This started at just over 2k miles. Vehicle was purchased in May 2022. Vehicle has been in the shop 4 times now and over 30 days to attempt repairs on the same issues. I do not feel safe driving my family in this vehicle. The Series III Wagoneer loaner that dealership just provided (with under 3k miles) is also having the same shaking / vibration issue and failure of the navigation system, but the shaking and vibration in the loaner is worse than in ours.

The first instance I was pulling out of the driveway. When I got to the end I tried to turn my steering wheel and it was completely locked. The alert started going off to service the lane Assiatiance. I couldn’t move the tires at all. I turned the car off and re started it multiple times to try to get it to unlock. After about 5 times it unlocked but still said to service the lance assistance. Called dealership they made an appointment 2-3 weeks out to look at it. Two weeks later driving at 35-40mph alert goes off that brake system needs to be serviced the car kicked on the parking break within seconds and steering wheel locked. I had two children in the car. We feared for our lives. Once pulled over the car was kicked into 4wd low on top of all the other things. Called dealership and they sent me to voicemail. Didn’t return call for hours. After restarting the car multiple times I was able to drive it to the dealership. I could only imagine how bad this could have ended up. Still no word on what exactly happened. I’m currently in a loaner
